What part of coming up with a wip fo you like most and least?

hey hey leia!! i think i like mmmm... creating characters, definitely. I love pushing and tugging at them into they smoothen out into (what i certainly hope are) believable people!! i also really like wondering how characters would interact. doodling design ideas is also super fun :)

least ehhh... probably outlining. Definitely outlining. i tend to get so caught up in my own head and overthink all of my current plot decisions and logic leaps to the point where i make it near impossible to actually move forward with the story. it doesn't help that i usually come up with the halfway point of the story first haha!!

i think that's why having people give their honest feedback an opinions is so helpful? receiving criticism is very, very hard for me (shoutout to all my ADHD-ers with RSD out there), but i also know its really important! as nice as it is to hear lovely things about your work, knowing that the people who give me feedback are honest and care enough about me and my work to try to help me improve really means a lot!! i'm definitely one who tends to avoid the more negative things about someone's WIPs because i don't want to hurt feelings, so i get it haha.

i tend to get really really shy when receiving feedback (my default is always to try to give the other person an out/shut the conversation down so i dont feel like i'm hogging their time), which is something i need to work on? oh wow i just realized this is so unrelated to the question bye
