Marko is SUCH a dumpster diver but...not really...more of the type to rip through trash on someones front porch. Shredding through someones garbage and the porch light flips on, old guy inside yells "DAGNABBIT, LINDA, THE GADDAMN RACOONS ARE IN THE TRASH AGAIN!" and his wife is like "WELL GO GET THE BROOM, RON!" and they start fighting while Marko is skittering away with Ron's lost wedding ring (he hasn't told Linda yet but I bet you she's noticed.)

Confession time: I have a TERRIBLE weakness for large Matthew.

2nd largest nation. Tall. Carb-fiend. Moose. Bear. Hockey player.

Small, kinda delicate child who grew UP and filled out.

Big hands, big feet, bit of belly in the off-season. Hockey butt. Broad shoulders and a chest you can hide in. Biceps, watermelon-crushing thighs - you ever research the kind of weight training hockey players do?

Person who hasn't seen him in five years literally bumps into him and it's like hitting a WALL.

One of the few who can outright check Ivan into the boards. Can pick up Katya and/or Alfred (neither of them being small themselves) and twirl them.

You don't think about his massive size much because he's quiet and mostly mellow but then suddenly he's standing next to you and you're looking up and up and Jesus you never thought of yourself as tiny before but you suddenly feel small. Not exactly delicate but glad that he handles you gently.

Mostly. Except when you demand he does otherwise.

(Alfred I mostly like as his canon average height of about 5'9/10', still strong and well-built, but I definitely don't have the absolute size kink with him that I do with Mattie.)

He can hear her heart hammering within her chest cavity. Sometimes, Elena forgets that he’s a vampire. Oftentimes, she treats him like her equal—a frail human capable of feeling emotions. She’s just that kind of girl, compassionate to a fault.

Elijah doesn’t blame her. She hadn’t yet seen the world as it truly is, hidden behind her rose-colored lenses.

Yet still, his heart longs for her. The company she affords him is a great deal of relief to him. It eases his regrets and lifts the burden off his shoulders—allowing a momentary reprieve from his past.

She is his heart.

(And he will not be as foolish as he once was.)
