hellooo!! i want to say your blog and writing are so so soooo wonderful! i love it, haha, and buddy became dear for heart x) aaand!! thanks to you I like family fluff even more, it's my comfort zone now!
can i ask about older seeker, who care about skywarp and thundercracker with star? despite canon and w∆r, it's pretty nice to think that they're actually good with each other 🥺
Thank you for the compliments! I'm glad to hear that The Buddy's are leaving such a good impact on people!
Since you did not specify which continuity this was, I assumed you meant by the IDW continuity. If this isn't what you wanted, please let me know.
Now we've had a Human Buddy senior, get ready for Bot Buddy the senior!
Hope you enjoy!
Bot Buddy the Senior Seeker being a parental figure to Thundercracker, Skywarp, and Starscream
IDW
SFW, Platonic, Familial, Cybertronian reader
Buddy was one of the older seekers in the aerial troops.
If fact Buddy was probably the oldest bot in the Decepticon division. But despite being one of the older bots Buddy made it up with being an experienced flyer.
With their results it landed Buddy as one of Satrscream’s right hand assistant /teammate.
This meant that Buddy would be spending a lot of time with the Elite Trine.
“Buddy, reporting for duty, Starscream.”--Buddy
“Finally, someone who has some respect for the future Leader of the Decepticon army.”--Starscream
“Urgh.”--Skywarp
“Great another suck up…”--Thundercracker
“Well, isn’t that a bit ambitious isn’t it Stascream? Maybe not the future leader of the army—”--Buddy
“How dare—”--Starscream
“Don’t interrupt me Kid.”--Buddy
“Kid!?”--Starscream
“Nevermind I like this one.”--Skywarp
“Shush! Both of you!”--Buddy
“I was saying use your position to improve the lives of those who work with you.”--Buddy
“Now why would I do that!”--Starscream
“More kindness you spread the more kindness you’ll receive in the end.”--Buddy
“Buddy you might want to save your energy on that.”--Thundercracker
“Yeah, Screamer here doesn’t do kindness. I don’t think he knows the meaning of the word.”—Skywarp
“Worth a shot.”--Buddy
Enough time the Elite Guard had become too accustomed to the older bot being there all the time. Even after the war the Trine continued to have communication with Buddy.
Starscream wanted Buddy to stay on Cybertron as one of his advisors.
No offense to Rattrap but he isn’t the best bot to always have around. And he refuses to hang out with Windblade anymore than what he has to. Buddy does take time to visit Starscream whenever they are back on Cybertron.
“Screamer?”--Buddy
“Buddy?”--Starscream
“What are you doing?”--Buddy
“Having the mechs repaint your ship.”--Starscream
“Paint my ship?”--Buddy
“Yes, it was looking rather dull. Your ship shouldn’t have to look like that scrapheap.”--Starscream
“This isn’t a way for you to have me stay on Cybertron?”--Buddy
“No…”—Starscream
“Well then since I’m going to be here for a while, what’s going on between you and Windblade?”
“…”--Starscream
Buddy has made their home on Earth. It’s much more peaceful there now that the war is over. Buddy has to schedule meetings with Skywarp as his work has him moving all around with The GI Joe.
Skywarp likes it when Buddy comes over and races them around.
“C’mon Buddy best out of 25?”--Skywarp
“How about we take a breather? I can’t fly like I used to Skywarp.”--Buddy
“Aww! C’mon!”--Skywarp
“How about you tell me about that Rock guy?”--Buddy
“How about we take that breather.”--Skywarp
Buddy has to wait by themselves for a while to see Thundercracker.
9 times out of 10 Buster finds Buddy before Buddy has to try in finding Thundercracker. He gives Buddy a lot of copies of his screenwriting.
“Wow TC! This is a lot of screen writes.”--Buddy
“Yeah! I’m trying to get some of them to be produced soon!”--Thundercracker
“You seem to have a lot of good ideas here. But you might want to go over some of them again. I don’t think human’s have a last name like ‘Boyfriend’.”--Buddy
“I mean you can help me out as my editor. Just as a thought.”--Thundercracker
“Sorry kiddo, not my thing. I am however invested in how this one human having a crush on this other human that sounds suspiciously like Ms. Marrissa Farborne.”--Buddy
“Umm…”--Thundercracker
“And your love interest here kind of reminds me of y—”--Buddy
“HEY! Buster wants to play with you now! Isn’t that right Buster!”--Thundercracker
“Arf!”--Buster
Each seeker tries to keep Buddy longer each visit.
None want Buddy to leave.
Buddy never stays, but they always come back at the end of the day.

Ok so
1. I’ve only ever read one book you wrote (So You Want To Be a Wizard) but it was very good and I love it. Big fan.
2. Both out of curiosity and on behalf of my sister, as a writer of Barbie Fairytopia, did you invent Bibble. Because my sister has Bibble as her Home Screen and my whole family had a conversation about Bibble yesterday.
Thank you. Ur books are cool.
Thank you! Glad you liked SYW... . 😊
Now, about Bibble (and a nod here to @the-best-of-the-geeks, who also inquired about this):
The answer is... maybe. At this end of time, it's hard to tell.
I took a few moments off from today's* graphic arts work to go digging in my archived project files. What I can see from a quick glance at them is that Bibble (or the character who'd eventually be Bibble: there were a lot of name changes throughout the writing process) doesn't appear in any of the drafts of the worldbuilding bible I wrote, or in other associated background material. If it had, that would've been—not absolute, but at least fairly strong circumstantial evidence—that I was the character's creator.
The problem is that when you're working on a big-IP project like this, there are so many people involved in the creative process that it can become really difficult to accurately trace any one character's or story element's "lineage". It's possible Bibble originated in a note to me from one of the creative team, which would have been one of hundreds of archived emails. Or it might have been something suggested to me in a phone conversation... of which there were many. Without sifting through all those emails (and please forgive me, that's not something I've got time for at the moment) it's tough to say.
What I am sure of is that Bibble definitely turned up on my watch. I have a premise file dated 30 December 2003 which does not contain the character, and then a second-draft premise dated 10 January 2004... in which, with a slightly different name, Bibble first appears. Bibble (as Bobble) is also in my first draft screenplay, which was turned in in early February 2004.
So that much, at least, we can be sure of. Bibble's personality and speech style is clearly spelled out in the script (as is the suggestion that Bibble be voiced by Frank Welker. It's a shame that didn't happen: I'm a huge fan of his).
But this still doesn't constitute proof that I invented the character. Bibble could very well have been suggested to me by someone else—and suggestions and notes are so free-flowing in a project like this that it's possible we'll just never know. (sigh) Such is life.
What I do want to emphasize here was how extremely pleasant this whole project was, from beginning to end. There are screenwriting projects that will make you shudder decades after the fact just on hearing their name. But there are others that unfailingly make you smile when someone mentions them... and this, for me, was one of those.
The giveaway of how much fun I was having lies in some stuff that happens in the script and would, to those unfamiliar with tropes in animation writing, look like nothing in particular. But a recurring joke among animation writers back then (and maybe still) was designating a character's speech as a walla. In this case, it means not just a description of some kind of crowd noise—the usual definition—but of that particular character making speechlike noises. It's the kind of thing you don't bother doing if you're not feeling playful. (Or at least I don't.)

...Anyway: hope this has helped, at least a little. :)
*This post was written at the very beginning of May 2023, around the time the WGA strike was starting. During the strike period I haven’t been comfortable with doing long posts about my screen work… but the strike’s over now. 😄 Thanks to @violet-yimlat and @the-best-of-the-geeks for being so patient.

A Cinematic Lover Chapter 1
Tumblr media
Pairing: Dieter Bravo x f reader
Word count: 3.7K
Chapter/content warning: 18+ MINORS DNI (no smut in this chapter), mentions of substance use, chronic illness, endometriosis, fibroids. (Reader doesn't have any physical descriptions or implied characteristics but does have chronic illnesses and is explicitly diagnosed as having endometriosis, fibroids and vaginismus, which will be mentioned in more detail in further chapters).
Summary: Dieter Bravo is a fan of a screenwriter and may have a small crush on her. He seizes the opportunity to finally work with her on her latest project but is this more than a crush?
Note: I plan to finish/post the next part of The Miller's Buttercup on Monday or Tuesday. I've just been toying with this idea for a couple of weeks now and really wanted to finish part 1 (I wanted to procrastinate) and was inspired to finish it after reading some of the wholesome Dieter x horror lover fics by @coulsons-fullmetal-cellist (I was procrastinating and reading their fics, would recommend you do the same).
Let me know what you think! I hope you enjoy :)
P. S the Dieter Bravo gifs are killing me
*********
Sati Gajjar was talented, there was no doubt about it, she was finally getting the recognition that she deserved and her name was becoming a hot one to work with. She was down-to-earth but assertive, articulate yet kind, and passionate with a clear vision always in sight. She was your best friend and had been ever since you two met in middle school maths, a subject you both couldn’t stand.
You’d both quickly bonded over books, music, films and television. Media marathons quickly became a staple in your friendship. You both loved storytelling and started making short films together in your early teen years. Sati was articulate but she wasn’t quite the wordsmith or poet that you were, you had a way with words and a million ideas for stories. Sati brought your words to life, she was direct and she knew how to make people listen, she knew exactly how to utilise a set, actors, and a camera to make your ideas better.
You were a dynamic duo. Most of the work in both of your filmographies were collaborations but with more opportunities, schedules and life you’d both recently done some non-dynamic duo projects. This film was not one, it was your first time working together properly in what really wasn’t long for industry time but felt like forever for the both of you. Your last project together was technically writing an episode of Black Mirror that Sati directed, it didn’t line up though as you were working on something else in Australia so you weren’t on set together and during the writing process it had just been the usual influx of back-and-fourth messages and some video calls.
Sati wished that you were here now, you both had producing credits, Sati was directing and you had written the script, it was a Blumhouse Productions feature which was big for both of your careers. You were in Australia wrapping up filming of an HBO Max limited series you’d created, written and were a co-Showrunner of. It had been your biggest creative responsibility yet and you were anxious and sleep-deprived, which Sati was well aware of.
Your presence was missed more in the current circumstances, Sati had a meeting with the lead actor in your new picture, Dieter Bravo. It was clear that he wasn’t super interested in being at this meeting, which didn’t please Sati but she didn’t let it show.
Sati absentmindedly tapped her fingers against her chair as the actor sunk further into the chair in the office, he looked like a slob and had his sunglasses pulled down low on his nose. He was visibly hungover and his head was pounding, his agent Abby was far more involved in the small talk than him. As the conversation continued it became clearer that nobody else was joining, Dieter interrupted Sati and Abby by snapping his fingers and then saying your name.
“Hmm?” Sati asked looking over at him. She wanted to like him as they’d be closely working together but while she found this behaviour somewhat intriguing for the enigmatic reputation of Dieter Bravo, she was finding it off-putting and concerning for his potential work ethic.
“Where is she?” Dieter asked. Abby sighed and rolled her eyes, she had already told Dieter that this meeting was just with the director and that you were unavailable, it was no secret to her that your involvement was a significant factor in him taking on this role no matter how much he tried to downplay that fact.
“Unfortunately for us, she’s wrapping up a project at the moment, post-production in Australia. She sends her apologies though and will be with us for production.” Sati calmly responded, smiling at Dieter.
Dieter groaned lightly then pushed his glasses up a bit more and nodded. It was too early in the day to be talking about work for his liking especially with a hangover. Meeting you was the main incentive for being up this early, he knew you wouldn’t be here but he still held out hope that maybe you’d have shown up. Dieter was a fan of your past work and he wouldn’t admit it to his agent or the director across from him but he had a little crush on you, despite the fact that you’d never met. He was sure that Abby knew this though.
As the meeting eventually wrapped up, he lazily shook Sati’s hand and left. She was nice enough and she was firm, Dieter could tell she wouldn’t be impressed with his antics, he imagined you wouldn’t either if you two were so close, he’d have to keep that in mind.
**********
You didn’t know what a healthy sleep schedule was, your sleep schedule had always been atrocious. Cramps were in full swing and could feel a distinct pain in your ovaries and bladder, yay for endo and fibroids you bitterly thought. You didn’t have your period but you were experiencing a mild flare-up, which was part of what was keeping you up, along with the general stress of life. You were an anxious bean to your core, a fact you’d never argue with.
You sat at a desk, sipping some peppermint tea and with a heat pad down your pants as you reviewed the final cuts of episodes while following along with a heavily annotated and doodled-on script. This show had been filmed in Australia and post-production was based here as well, a lot of the creative talent on this show was local which you’d liked being involved with. But you would also be the first to admit that this job and the timezone difference certainly didn’t help with your already problematic sleep schedule.
It was almost 2 AM for you, you heard your phone vibrate on the desk and looked over. It was Sati, seeing her name and picture light up your phone screen made you smile, you loved her more than anything. Rubbing your eyes, you picked your phone up quickly, almost clumsily dropping it
“Hey boss,” you answered, somewhat tiredly but your tone was still chipper, more than what was natural for this hour.
“Not sleeping huh?” Sati playfully questioned, well aware of your sleeping habits and what you’d say.
“You’re the one that called,” You responded matter-of-factly with a smirk on your face that you knew she’d somehow know about despite not being able to see your face. “Turns out that a whole new timezone just keeps the sleep schedule just as troubling.”
“So I shouldn’t move to New Zealand and become a sheep farmer?” Sati asked with a chuckle, “Wait for a few more jobs I reckon. But you know I’m in Australia and not New Zealand right?” You joked in a deadpan tone, causing Sati to laugh, “Yes, I know they’re two different countries. New Zealand just seems nicer, less spiders!” Sati dramatically exclaimed. Which made you laugh, nobody had a phobia of spiders quite like Sati, you wouldn’t remind Sati that you hadn’t been attacked by any spiders or seen any gargantuan ones. You’d already done it and she wouldn’t have a bar of it.
You remembered that Sati had had a meeting with the talented but notorious Dieter Bravo and that was probably part of the reasoning behind this call so you finally dared to ask “So, how did it go?”
Sati sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose before answering. “He was well, bored to say the least? And hungover? His agent Abby was fine, he didn’t really have much to say.” “Oh?” You queried, his substance use was highly publicised, and his reputation included him being a brilliant actor but an eccentric personality, to say the least. All of these were facts you both were aware of.
“He asked about you, it’s like the only time he spoke.” Sati teased with a confused but amused tone. “Wait what?” You were surprised at that, Sati’s name was obviously bigger than yours, her role naturally meant that she was more of the face of behind-the-scenes work and you had no problems with that. You loved storytelling but you hated the spotlight from a young age. You’d had people compliment your scripts but you’d never had someone as big as him express an explicit interest solely in you, well your work.
“Yeah, I swear it was the only time he spoke! He’s a big fan of May, Abby made that clear, that the script and working with you was why he wanted the role.” Sati stated, she was well aware of your disdain for the spotlight and your difficulty with praise, and she was glad that you at least got the flowers you deserved out of her awkward meeting.
“That’s so wild-” you said, pausing to yawn and push some loose strands of hair behind your ear. “I can’t believe he’s seen it-” “Of course, he’s seen it and of course he loved it. It was a hit! Remember?” Sati said excitedly with a playful tone in her voice. You smiled and rolled your eyes despite remembering Sati couldn’t see that, “Shut up,” you said playfully, then sighed as you rubbed your eyes, “It’s just still so surreal.”
“Yeah, I know.” Sati laughed softly, recognising your voice was becoming a bit more tired. “Well, I’ll let you go, sleep with the Crocs and whatever else it is you’re doing down there.”
“I prefer brunches with koalas actually Sati.” You remarked. “Well, at least the Crocs don’t have chlamydia.”  Sati quipped back, you chuckled dryly and rolled your eyes at that.
“I love you too Sati, well good night and morning to you.” You replied as you felt sleep catching up more with you.
“I love you. See you soon.” Sati said and then she hung up.
You didn’t know what to think, you expected that Sati’s meeting with Dieter would either be an absolute trainwreck or he would somehow disprove his reputation, that maybe it was all an act. You’d never expected in a million years that while the meeting wouldn’t be the highlight of Sati’s day that he’d somehow end up turning out to be a fan of your work. You felt yourself smile at that, and you tiredly scolded yourself, you didn’t need the validation of a stranger and it felt weird knowing that the enigmatic, finicky Dieter Bravo liked your work. It felt even weirder that that had made you smile.
********
It had been a few months since Sati had had that meeting with Dieter and called you.  Post-production had wrapped up in Australia and you were now back home in the USA, you were glad to be back home, the familiarity was comforting and put you at ease a bit. Filming was still almost a month away but you had already had some meetings with Sati and other cast and crew members which had gone well and you were having one with Dieter this afternoon. You were curious to meet him and this curiosity grew alongside anxiety with knowing that he had specifically mentioned your work.
You were now at a cafe waiting for Sati, you’d worn one of your black turtle necks with black trousers with an emerald green coat hanging off your shoulders. You weren’t in a creative block but had a million ideas, which was typical as you were entering a project, you’d been typing away when Sati came over.
“God, do you ever take a break?”
“Ain’t no rest for the writers. We’re wicked creatures.”
“You’re not Mike Flanagan, you don’t need to be pumping out at least one amazing thing a year,” Sati scoffed as she sat down.
“It’s just future ideas.” You replied and Sati quirked an eyebrow which made you smile, “I’ll spam you and pick your brain about it later, okay?” She smiled and nodded as she made silly plot guesses as she rested her chin on your shoulder, reading what you were typing as you both waited for Dieter to come.
Little did you know, Dieter was also genuinely anxious to meet you. Dieter looked around the cafe and he quickly saw you and Sati. He felt a blush creep up his neck to his cheeks as he saw you, it was surreal to see you in person. Your face was scrunched up in concentration, you were typing away and Sati was leaning on you. You said something which made her double up with giggles, and whatever she responded with broke the look of concentration etched onto your face with a smirk. You then laughed and took a sip of your water. As Dieter made his way over to the table, he couldn’t help but think how gorgeous you looked when your face was screwed up in conversation but also when you laughed. He wanted to make you laugh and he hoped he’d be able to hear that sweet noise in person today.
“Hey,” Dieter started as he awkwardly fidgeted with his hands, you and Sati looked up at him. You smiled warmly at him and closed your laptop.
“Hey, it’s lovely to meet you-” You put your hand out to shake his as he responded. “Uh, yeah, you too.” He shook your hand gently but firmly, your hand felt so small in his big one, and you felt a tingle as your hands touched which made you smile softly. Dieter felt it too and blushed at the sensation.
Dieter sat down and drummed his fingers softly against the table. Sati got up and looked over at Dieter, “I’ll go and order, what do you drink Dieter?” Dieter answered with his order which made you and Sati both raise your eyebrows at the amount of caffeine but Sati went off to the line.
“How are you?” You asked Dieter genuinely but anxiously. It was bizarre seeing a celebrity as big as him in front of you, you’d be working with him and he was apparently a fan of your work? It was wild. You knew he was attractive but he was also somehow more attractive in person, there was something charming about his tousled curls and the way he seemed to fidget. Was he anxious as well you wondered? Dieter looked at you like he was taken aback, you noticed his eyes changed but you weren’t quite sure what the change meant.
He was taken aback by your question but smiled, he could tell by your tone and the way you were looking at him, it was genuine. It wasn’t the small talk or robotic answer with an expected vague and positive answer kind of question. “I’m alright, how are you?” He answered, he was, he was more anxious than anything but he didn’t want to admit that. You nodded and answered that you were alright as well.
“Were you working on something?” Dieter asked, his warm chocolate eyes flicking over to the now-closed laptop. You nodded sheepishly. “What is it?” Dieter was genuinely curious and wanted as much of a glimpse into your mind as possible.
“Just a few ideas in my head, nothing concrete super concrete at the moment. I’ve been talking to Sati about something based on Violet Paget’s works. I’ve also been toying with the idea of a Medea adaptation for a couple of months, a psychological drama with subtle horror elements.” You replied, feeling a bit self-conscious over a borderline rambling, Dieter nodded and smiled as you spoke though, it didn’t seem forced and it reassured you a little.
Dieter hadn’t heard of Violet Paget before and made a mental note to Google that name as soon as he left. But he could easily see how a story like Medea’s could be adapted into something deeply emotive and visceral, especially by you. He smiled at the thought of how you’d adapt a story like that, something already heartbreaking and expand it in that provoking way into something also beautiful.
“Maybe I could read Jason? If that helps your process or fits a future casting call.” He beamed with a growing smile. You smiled in return which reassured him that his offer wasn’t a cocky move. But you raised an eyebrow in surprise at his knowledge of the story. “What?” He asked, worried for a moment that maybe he’d overstepped and did indeed make you uncomfortable.
“I was just surprised you knew Medea and Jason.” You answered with a warm smile which made Dieter relax again.
“I did my tragedies,” Dieter responded proudly.
“Huh,” You chuckled which provoked him to raise an eyebrow. “Well, we’ve only just met but you strike me as more of a Shakespeare guy I guess.”
“Am I that brand of pretentious?” Dieter asked in a teasingly offended tone. You laughed and shook your head reassuringly which made Dieter laugh.
Dieter was secretly a people pleaser and he desperately wanted to impress you and the ease in the conversation and the laugh he’d gotten out of you relaxed him. It was as you laughed that Sati sat back down.
She was quick to notice the difference in Dieter’s attitude and persona with you present. He was sober for starters but he was engaged in the conversation and he seemed to hang on to every word that left your mouth, which Sati knew you didn’t notice.
The conversation flowed for a couple more minutes and then your drinks were brought out. You sipped on your chai as Sati then spoke about some pacing and shot sequences she had in mind that impressed Dieter. He asked some questions about his character and context which you answered thoughtfully, Dieter knew this would be a hit and easily one of the best projects he’d be involved in.
As the conversation went on he was quickly picking up on your mannerisms. Like Dieter, you were also a fidgeter, you would fidget with the corner of your clothes, he assumed this was an anxious habit but he picked up on that it was something you also seemed to do subconsciously. Sati was clearly the more extroverted of the two of you, she was a bit bolder and it was clear that she adored you but Dieter quickly knew you were the warmer one of the pair. He wasn’t too surprised but he had expected you to be more gloomy based on your works and how you seemed to stay out of the public eye.
You also had quite an expressive face, it would be great for the stage he thought, he also quickly learned that when your expression shifted into neutrality it wasn’t necessarily you being upset but that it was a shift for deadpan delivery. You were witty and some of your humour was silly but you definitely had a dry sense of humour. It always made Sati laugh and she didn’t seem as much of a serious person as he’d assumed when they’d met. You seemed to delight in making Sati laugh, which made Dieter want to make you laugh even more. You weren’t just ridiculously talented but you were kind, caring and funny, wanting to bring laughter to your loved ones. It was true though, you often used humour as a coping mechanism (you still loved a good, big fat cry) and you just wanted to make everyone happy.
Dieter was easy to talk to and you felt surprisingly charmed by him, the knot of anxiety in your stomach slowly untangled throughout the conversation. You knew you shouldn’t have made assumptions but he was surprisingly a good listener, he was attentive, and he asked good questions regarding the project which you appreciated. You wanted to work with passionate people, people who cared and that was always more of a gamble on the slightly bigger projects.
After a couple of hours, cinematography came up and you all spoke about Bones and All, at this point Sati checked her phone for the time and looked up.
“I’m sorry but we should probably head off now, for the next item on the agenda,” Sati remarked.
“How long do we have?” You asked Sati, being absolutely unaware of the time with your phone in your pocket and your laptop closed. “Just under an hour,” Sati responded, you nodded and Dieter tilted his head to look at the both of you.
“I’m sorry, it was so lovely to finally meet you.” You said looking at Dieter, he smiled and blushed slightly, “It’s okay, it was great to meet you too.” He said smiling at you, he then turned to Sati “And it was great to catch up again. Thanks for making the time for this.” He answered.
You all got up and said your goodbyes, he went in the car with his driver that was just outside of the cafe. You put your hands in your pockets and looked at Sati as you both waited for your Uber. “You made it sound a lot more professional than what it is.” You said. Sati looked at you and raised an eyebrow teasing, “It’s important.”
You chuckled at that and playfully rolled your eyes, the next item on the agenda was going to a local cinema for its special screening of Dario Argento’s Three Mothers trilogy. It felt almost rude to end the meeting on that but you had been looking forward to this with Sati so you didn’t say anything.
As Dieter sat in the backseat of the car, he pulled his phone out of his pocket and quickly Googled you. The fact that you and Sati seemed to be going to the same “item on the agenda” reassured him that this meeting didn’t end because you had a date. Plus he was certain that you seemed almost disappointed in having to leave, he hoped that wasn’t a delusion. But he still needed to check.
You didn’t have a ring on your finger but that didn’t mean much, your Wikipedia page didn’t mention a partner but there wasn’t much there under ‘Personal Life’, he’d gathered you were a private person anyway. He checked your Instagram and it didn’t look like you had any partners. He knew you and Sati were assumed to be partners often but you’d both denied this and Sati had a long-term girlfriend that the public knew of.
He exhaled and leaned back into the seat, it looked like you were single, well he took the lack of evidence of a relationship as a good sign. He then remembered you’d mentioned Violet Paget, he typed her name in and clicked on her short Wikipedia page. Part of Dieter had hoped that meeting you would squash his little crush but now he just felt smitten.

• okay so like i very strongly believe that you have to initiate every single intimate act because he's just way too nervous. like when he's around you, he just sits with his hands crossed over his lap, staring at his feet because he doesn't know what to do or say. if you want to cuddle, or kiss, or anything like that, you have to initiate it
• he genuinely gets so happy when you tell him you like a film he made. like you actually support his dreams of becoming a screenwriter.
• he's not so great at pda, mostly because he gets nervous so easily. so like if he wants to hold your hand or something, he'll second guess himself.
• he loves cuddles in which his head is laying on your chest, or in your lap and you play with his hair. he also enjoys like the hugging cuddle position, where you guys are just entwined. cutee
• when someone else flirts with you, he gets so anxious. he comes up to you, a little pouty, trying to hold your hand or hug you from behind. he wants the other person to know that he's yours, and nobody else is.
•he's such a cutie 😭🫶

Hello!
Hope you’re doing great today.
How do you become your best self- like operating in your full Potential? There’s a girl I know of who’s super popular on campus and she’s great: a model, may be doing pageants one day (I encouraged her), and is super smart. Recently on IG I saw she’s at Harvard Business school studying and she has a major in Political science.
I’m an English major - couldn’t attach myself to any legal studies because it wasn’t for me and I get insulted by family that I should be doing something other than English (they look down on the major).
So I find myself comparing myself to her because I am trying to do different clubs, and speak up and be all that I can be. But I’m not seeing anything changing for me.
I get over looked a lot, and it’s a new school for me (I’m a transfer student) so that’s added.
And I’m so lost.
I often looked down on my degree, I do believe I should be a speaker or go to galas and study things that holds influence. To be a woman of change but I don’t see that. I haven’t gotten any scholarships for holding events for clubs, nor do I get recognized.
I feel like I’m not doing enough and I feel inadequate in my abilities (I literally took a creative writing class with fifteen other poets for a special class and the Professor would constantly nit pick at my writing and say I have to revise - and the other students would be praised for their writing. And I actually thought I was a great poet til that happened. And he’s a poet himself, and well known so that hurt. And was embarrassing cause my peers weren’t helpful or encouraging either. They would just stare at me while he critiqued my work).
Not sure who I should be.
I’m not even good at the things I thought I was good at.
But when looking at my acquaintance- I see such great things going to happen for her in her future (all well deserved).
Hi love! You sound like you're doing great for someone in university, honestly. Most people, especially at that age, do not take the time or energy required to self-reflect and think critically about how they can improve/ thrive in their environment instead of blaming external circumstances for any obstacles they face. You sound very emotionally mature, which I'm sure will take you far. Having so much uncertainty and little support is so difficult, so know that your feelings are valid regarding why you feel uncertain and like you're losing time in this current moment.
While it is easier said than done, comparing yourself to others is a waste of the time and energy you can be spending on ideas, hobbies, and activities that make you happy/help you reach your goals. Please know that people putting you down for being an English major is very closed-minded. There are so many career paths you can pursue with an English degree (signed someone who almost did one, lol) – copywriting, PR, social media/content strategy & creation, UX & technical writing, broadcast journalism, reporter, editor, screenwriting, etc. Also, he is one poet – that is an opinion, not a general consensus. He might be a professional and have considerable skills under his belt, but that does not make his words gospel. Writing quality can be fairly subjective. However, the way he singled you out is awful – I would talk to an advisor about this unprofessional behavior.
The best things you can do in a situation like this are three-fold:
Focus on taking care of yourself. Block out what others, especially critics, think or say about any choices you're making that don't hurt anyone else. Try to establish some healthy routines (meals, walks, workouts, studying, skincare, reading, etc.) to feel more in control of your day-to-day life
Sit down and reflect on the activities that give you energy, what you're passionate about, and the goals that you would most like to achieve in the few years after university and the immediate ones while you're still on campus. For example, it sounds like you're interested in writing, public speaking, and fancy events. Find resources to get good at these skills and ways to get yourself in your desired work environment (internships, temp service work for special events, etc.) Maybe consider potential career paths like PR or speech writing. Consider creative outlets like making a podcast, TikTok, or Youtube videos.
Make it a priority to develop confidence in yourself and an unwavering sense of self-trust. I feel like an old lady saying this, but you're so young and have so much time to figure it out. Everyone has different histories, traumas, resources, and advantages/disadvantages in this life. Spending time ruminating over those of others and comparing notes is taking away the energy and creativity you need to pour into constructing your own life and identity.
Hope this helps xx

Intro Post, GO!
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph--I last did one of these in 2018... fucking...
Tumblr media
Info under the cut, if you’re into that sort of thing.
Hi! My name is Nehs and I write stuffs. I’m a trained screenwriter and hope to one day break into that, but I also know that since it’s a lot of work and luck I might as well enjoy myself along the way. I’ve been writing fan fiction since about 1998 and sharing online since 2004, so when I say I’ve been writing fic for most of my life, I mean it. More recently I’ve been very active in the Doctor Who/Whouffaldi fandom and back in One Piece. These things are more alike than one would think. My life force feeds off of weird, rare, and otherwise less-popular ships as well as alternate universe settings.
Aside from being here I’m also on fanfiction.net and Archive of Our Own. In the past nine years I’ve put out about 1.78mil words on AO3. My totals on FFN (which begin in high school (beware weird/lower quality work earlier on) and are skewed due to author’s notes and review replies bc i’ve been on the site for so long) are at ~2.38mil. Not everything from here is on my FFN or AO3 and not everything on FFN is on AO3 and vice versa. I do tend to crosspost a lot of my work, however, so when one site is down, there’s usually a good place to find my stuff otherwise if you were in the middle of something!
(No, seriously, my FFN hits took off during the latest mass-AO3 outage and it was mainly for stuff that was crossposted, so don’t be afraid to come on over!)
Uhh... big things I’m known for...
The Time That We Love Best: slice of life Whouffaldi AU set from WWII-1960; a hundred chapters of a relationship and lots of period-related plot; there are prompt fills to add to the story
The Thick of UNIT: crossover involving Doctor Who and The Thick of It, prominently showcasing the crackship of Kate Stewart/Malcolm Tucker; contains many OCs, canon cameos from both shows, weird shit, and current events; lots of offshoots and even has spawned fic of the fic
The March of Kasterborous and Gallifrey: pseudo-fantasy/nobility Whouffaldi AU that starts with an arranged marriage and morphs into a loving relationship and the building of a dynasty; consists of In Want of An Heir, Stars in A Sky of Blood and Blue, a prompt fill fic, and an AU of the AU that’s a remix of the first fic
Getting the Hang of Things: my attempt at a close-as-possible-to-canon Whouffaldi AU where they raise kids
a bunch of different fantasy-related Whouffaldi AUs, incorporating things such as selkies, werewolves, vampires, a How to Train Your Dragon setting, and more
Father Like Son, Mother Like Daughter, Parent Like Child: a One Piece Bellazón AU where Cora-san and Bell-mère raise their six kids in the East Blue, they’re all better adjusted, and proceed to make it everyone’s problem
little seagull, little seagull, where shall you go?: a One Piece AU where the Heart Pirates find a kid during the timeskip and Law completes the circle and becomes her Cora-san; is pretty much becoming a pick-your-own adventure story as I write varying branches to the plot
Love, Loss, and Finding One’s Self on the High Seas; I wanted to write Sanji/Pudding that gave her agency and made things less creepy; there’s lots of other ships too and it’s just weird af trust me
Other than that I am generally friendly and willing to interact with people. Drop me a line anytime, about fic or fandom or anything else, even if you think it’s negative. My personal blog is escapaldi. I enjoy hearing from readers (I’m one of those people that stalk reblogs for fun tags) and anything is better than nothing. There’s always room for improvement in a writer’s craft, so if you catch something then please let me know. Anon is on and if you prefer to confer in private just say so. Another thing to note is that I tend to reblog fanart for things I’ve written, things I find neat/important, and any other projects I may be in at the moment. If you got a problem with that, then I’m not really sure what to tell you. *shrugs* Oh, and yeah, don’t feed my fics to an AI for any reason whatsoever or I’ll astral-project myself to your computer and no one will enjoy themselves. :D

How did you get into the Legend of Zelda fandom? And which triforce do you think you would have?
Well, when i was a sweet little bab, me and my big brother got a bunch of super nintendo games from our uncle. Among the stash was A Link to the Past. It took a whole summer to beat, but we did it together (i was 6, he was 14. i solved one puzzle that he couldn't, which made me feel super smart) (he grew up to earn a phD in science). Then that same uncle gave us an N64 with Ocarina of Time, which i played until it broke (i broke it doing the crooked cartridge trick in the title screen, attempting to change the language to japanese. why? who knows.) I played the following zeldas via emulator, we were poor. Finally Wind Waker came out and i promised my parents I wouldn't ask for anything as expensive as a Gamecube again. (And i never did.)
And although i had played around writing short, humorous fanfics about OOT and MM, Wind Waker changed everything. Suddenly, Ganondorf was a Person. With a tragic history. And i fell in love at the ripe old age of 13. For ten years, i drew and drew the same basic fanfic: girl like me gets kidnapped by ganon, they become friends and partied with the Gerudo. note that ganon always had his own partner in these stories, while my Mary Sue played a heroine role, not the King's main squeeze. She often found a hylian boyfriend or girlfriend. the fantasy of loving the demon king was a major portion of my thoughts from then on.
So around 2017 after breath of the wild came out, and i entrenched myself deep into zelda lore... i rehashed my childish fanfics, now with more artistic skill and a few classes worth of creative writing and screenwriting. And that takes us to the current day.
I would probably have the piece of Courage. It's taken a lot of bravery to fight cancer for seven years and i need a lot more to keep going.
Thanks for the ask! It was really fun to answer. please more? 🥹💕🌹

Hello! I’m here for an Encanto matchup please! Thank you so much for doing this by the way!
First things first, I’m an adult so I can’t be shipped with any minors, so no Camilo or Mirabel please. I’m also bisexual, so I don’t mind whether you ship me with a man or a woman. And by the way, I also have autism and stim by pacing if that means anything.
Physically I’m a really short adult, I’m only like 5’ tall (152 cm) because I have multiple disabilities, one of which stunted my growth. I have chronic pain basically everywhere but especially in my joints like my hands, hips, back and knees. Just today I’m wearing arthritis gloves, knee braces, compression socks and a scoliosis brace so I kinda look ready to be hospitalized lol. I also faint a lot because of blood pressure issues, and I have asthma and weak bones too. Medically I’m kind of a mess. Anyways, I also have really long wavy (and fluffy) brown hair, glasses and pale skin with lots of moles and freckles. I’m surprisingly muscular but still really slim. My style also switches between masculine and feminine a lot, and I even tend to combine the two. Today I’m wearing a long ankle-length skirt and also a biker’s cut denim jacket on top with a black t-shirt.
I have a bunch of little nervous habits like knocking on wood to prevent jinxes (like Bruno!), biting my lip when I’m nervous, pacing and flapping my hands, making little noises and humming to myself (kinda like Dolores). I’m also learning Greek and Spanish as second languages! I talk with my hands a lot, and I tell crazy stories from my life. I can imagine Mirabel complaining about Isabela and then I’m just like “My siblings used to put me in a trash can and roll me down the stairs” lol. I would also definitely gift Dolores some headphones because I can get pretty loud without really noticing.
I work as a librarian currently, but I’m also learning screenwriting in hopes of actually working at Pixar someday! I write a ton, I have a journal that I’ve kept going for years now, and I’ve picked up a lot of different crafts like sewing and leatherworking.
I’m very polite and extremely friendly, including being really bubbly and excitable. I feel like, maybe aside from the denim jacket, I might be the kind of person even Abuela would like lmao. I shake people’s hands when greeting them and am generally very polite and a little nervous. But it’s easy for me to make people laugh because I have a witty and sarcastic sense of humor, especially combined with my weird life stories. I’m really soft and surprisingly good at giving advice, I’ve often been called “wise beyond my years”. Unfortunately I can be really stubborn and am not quick to forgive, but that’s something I’m trying to work on. I also have a habit of always trying to stay busy and I don’t really know what self care is sometimes, oops.
But yeah, I think that's about it! Sorry if this was too long, I got excited haha. I look forward to seeing who you'll ship me with! Take care of yourself and drink lots of water, bye!
Thank you for requesting!
I match you with...
Tumblr media
Pepa!
Even before you two started to date, you would always keep the sun shining and bright when you were around her! Your loudness and energy while talking would match her's, and she would always help massage the areas that were hurting you.
She would talk to you and do fun activities with you while you're nervous to distract you, and would be your No. 1 supporter. She would always stand slightly behind you and would be quick to catch and care for you if you fainted.
She would definitely understand you not being quick to forgive, but would know just how to handle your stubborn moments. She would also help you learn Spanish by having conversations with you in the language to help you become more fluent, and would try to learn Greek with you, the skies becoming more cloudy as she gets frustrated.
She would love your style, and would always adore when you talk with your hand, and would even pick up some of your gestures from being around you and thinking of you so much. Overall, she would absolutely love you!
I hope you enjoyed!

Today's translation #11
Sayo Yamamoto's interview in Go Yuri go!!! offical fanbook
Part 1.
Watching [the animation of] Victor's FS at Worlds, I became certain that this is going to be a film [as in a 'roll of film'] no-one has seen before.
Q: First of all, tell us please, why you have decided to make an anime about figure skating.
I have been a figure skating fan for some time now. At first I was a light fan, watching competitions only on TV, but then gradually I started spending crazy amount of time on figure skating. I started inserting figure skating into other projects I've been working on, for example even while working on storyboards for action scenes, I was thinking "Wouldn't it be interesting, if I gave this kick here the motion of flying camel spin?". Around the time I was working on "Lupin the 3rd. The woman called Fujiko Mine" I couldn't help but to start thinking seriously about it and at first I was thinking about maybe making an anime about skating to air around the time of Sochi Olympics. People [from the industry] were listening, but not very intently - I heard comments like "Is it going to be about bukatsu [school sports club]?" or "Sounds like that's going to be hard to do". I personally wanted to animate competitions, because this is what I watch and find interesting, but it seems I couldn't make this idea come across well. But at the same time, I became convinced that I'm trying to do something new, something no-one can even visualize. In this state, the project wouldn't be accepted for around 2 years. During that time I was inserting figure skating into other projects, for example opening to "Persona 5", but I really wanted to make a TV anime with figure skating as the main theme. The breakthrough happened around the time of Sochi Olympics - there was a producer who was looking to start a new project and he very kindly listened to my ideas.
Q: When have you become really hooked on figure skating?
Some time between Turin Olympics and Vancouver Olympics. For example, when it's a short program, it's like the whole life of a figure skater is packed into these 2min50s. The longer you watch the better you can understand what the skater is thinking about while they're skating. The first time I've watched a live competition was because of Johnny Weir back in 2009. At that time he skated his own choreography to Lady Gaga's "Poker face" at exhibitions in a very sensational way and it left a huge impression on me. I thought it was so cool and I must see it live!!… After Vancouver Olympics, one Johnny's Angel was so kind to give me their ticket and I was able to go to Fantasy on Ice in Niigata and Fukui… The cast of skaters was dream-like! After that, I fell for figure skating for real.
Q: Please tell as about the circumstances in which Mitsurou Kubo has been invited to join the project.
At first I was thinking about working with a screenwriter. But screenwriters usually work on many project at the same time so I thought I wouldn't be able to find somebody who was as deep into figure skating as I was (laugh). Just at that time I really liked and often listened to "All night Nippon", [a radio program] Kubo-san was doing with Noumachi Mineko-san [Mineko is a biological man living as a woman, btw. Well, you'd say trans woman, but afaik, as per her interviews, she doesn't like the "trans" label. She's an essayist, illustrator and writer]. I was just a random listener, but I had this one-sided conviction that "I could be good friends with this person" (laugh). So one time Kubo-san talked on the radio about figure skating and I thought her views on it are very interesting. I knew she has written the screenplay for "Moteki" movie (2011) in a form of manga storyboard, but then when I checked her bio in detail, I learned that for a very long time she was drawing a manga series in Weekly Shonen Magazine, so I could easily imagine her writing a screenplay for a TV anime. The big point was also the fact that she had experience with works based on somebody's else original idea, so I thought that she's for sure used to working with other people.
Q: What was the thing that made you feel drawn to Kubo-san?
Kubo-san is a person who doesn't shy away from talking about things [like, normally you'd choose to maybe not talk about something for whatever reason]. She has her own way of interpreting things and she doesn't hesitate to state that "Because of that thing, then we have this" [The context here is that very often Japanese people would rather choose not to speak up their mind]. She's like this on the radio and in person too. One very important thing that I demand from a screenwriter is that they should be able to write dialogues with good punch lines - I thought that Kubo-san would be good at this, but she's turned out to be even better than I expected. However, as it was the first time she was writing a screenplay for a TV anime, I decided that because I was used to working with the format of TV series, I should be the one to do the series composition, so I started to re-learn screenwriting. Working on the series was very fun, because after the project was launched, almost everyday I was visiting Kubo-san at her house and we were discussing the show, as well as exchanging info about figure skating. Kubo-san is very intelligent and observant and very good at collecting information, so even though she often says things like "I don't really know that much about figure skating…" she very quickly became very knowledgeable, and in the end I even learned some things from her I didn't know before (laugh). In addition, Kubo-san, as you'd expect from a person who for a long time was drawing a manga series for a weekly magazine, is really a pro when it comes to creating stories. I often had a revelation-like moments when I was thinking "Wow, now I see it!". Also, as it was a first time Kubo-san was working on an anime, I was convinced she's going to create very refreshing visuals, and without hesitation I decided to ask her to do character designs. The character design ideas she made were very stunning and while still a bit real-life-like, the points that make you excited while you watch them were highlighted by making them a bit super-deformed. Also, her bold art style is so pleasant to look at. I was very excited when the best possible team was created, after it occurred to me that Hiramatsu-san is the only person who can translate Kubo-san's great art style into anime character design.
(Note: It's around 1/3~1/4 of the whole interview. Next part will be about YoI production.)

My AU about the Chinese Room
I would like to thank @doodlesofthelastpage for the thought-provoking topic.
Sorry for my poor English. I’m a silly cat whose first language is Chinese. Here are my fantasies about Charak and this thought experiment:
for me, every charak ship works for this AU. If we replace the Chinese grammar, vocabulary, etc. in the Chinese room with the norms of behaviour in human society, then we can have the following plot.
Suppose there is a person who has simulated many universes according to rules they has set up. Charan and NTR interact in many of the universes they creates and renders with their computer. It is obvious that in each universe, people will have different social norms.
There are two universes where an error has occurred. Coincidentally, one has a Charan and the other has a NTR. The two universes have undergone a sort of misalignment, making them effectively one universe. However, in the perceptions of ordinary people who belong to one of the universes, the behaviour of the other is 'translated' into the behaviour of its counterpart in their own society. Of course, normal people do not recognise this, just as we do not know whether the red in our eyes is the same colour as the red in the eyes of others.
However a bug occurred in Charan. One day he was suddenly unable to understand the behaviour of half the world's population, while everyone else was able to go on with their lives as usual.
At first, he suspected that he was suffering from mental illness. But then he made the following conjecture: perhaps this universe needs to be recognized in two ways. So he observed and studied the other part of world (including the way of life of the other half of the population). (Imagine one day finding that sight becomes something that needs to be recognised by two senses; you find that people who claim to know only one language can understand your utterances in two languages at the same time, while half the world has suddenly become something that, according to previous experience, cannot be understood. But for the strange half of universe, you can still learn to live in it like a newborn baby.) When communicating with people from the other half of the universe, Charan is like a person who is reading/listening to a non-native language.
He tried really hard and became an actor in this state, and met then fell in love with NTR, who belonged to another half of the universe.
One day, as if by a stroke of fate, a screenwriter named Rajamouli, wrote a play with the exact same worldview. And the two lead actors are none other than Charan and NTR. Charan has a heavy heart because of this. NTR saw that he was melancholy and did his best (in the way of his half of universe) to please him. So Charan spoke to NTR about his experience. At first, NTR thought Charan was joking, but soon he became serious as he saw Charan's tears flowing incessantly.
Charan jumped into his arms and said, "I feel so happy when I hold you, but it makes me so sad to think that in the hug you feel one-half less than I do."
Then NTR said, just like Gandhari willing to live with eyes blindfolded, so am I willing to live like you.
He invites Charan to make up a dictionary-like thing, and then learns a “language” that only two people in this universe know.
Decades passed after that. When they were both grey at the temples, they went to see Rajamouli to thank the man who had made their relationship possible. They boldly told their story.
NTR asked, “If you were writing a play about a Chinese room and the Chinese outside were trying to learn the language of the people in the room, what would be your next plot?”
Then Rajamouli laughed. Suddenly his smile and voice turned into something that NTR had studied, but had never seen with his own eyes.
For a moment, as if waking from a dream, NTR and Charan awoke in a strange, yet recognisable place. But their memories do not fade. Rajamouli rose up from the computer that was simulating and rendering countless universes, saluted, then standing at about the same height, looked at them with smiling eyes and said:
Welcome to love in this world where you and I are equals.

Hey, I've been following your blog for a long time and love your story's. In the past few months I've been playing with the idea of getting back into writing again myself (it's been like 10 years -_-') I really like your style and wanted to ask, if you maybe had some tips on how to get started, be inspired or find the time to write. Thank you so much in advance and have a great day ;*
Heyo pal! Getting back into writing is always an amazing and nerve-wracking thing. For me, I had stopped writing for a really, really long time before sporadically popping my head back into the fandom.
TLDR;
Mark down your ideas as they come to you, even if you're busy.
Talk with a close friend to help you brainstorm (Even message me! I love brainstorming!)
If you are writing fanfic, rewatch episodes for inspiration
If you ever have a random inkling to write but have no idea what about, sit down anyways. Long versions under the cut! Good luck anon~
When I first began writing at 19, I was super, super busy! I was a full-time college student, worked at the Post Office from 4:00am until my classes started, and on Weekends I had to work with the basketball team that I co-owned. Seriously, I barely had time to think buhaha. But when I had an idea, I'd write it down in my Notepad app on my phone (The same app that I use to this day, Notepad Inkpad) and then I would slowly build on it during the day mentally. I'm a very visual thinker. When I think of a story, it's as if I can see an actual episode playing in my head. So, as I was tossing packages (Which is mindless work) I'd be imagining my story unfolding. If I liked a part of it, I'd write it down. I still do this to this day, the only difference is I also use Evernote to store my various ideas and stories.
The second thing I do is consult other writers. Sometimes I will randomly text my best friend, @sheinthatfandom, when I need help. Having someone who really understands the type of writing you're doing can be very beneficial. Another benefit of leaning on a close friend when it comes to writing is honesty. She tells me when a part of my story probably won't work, or can be like "Bitch this is why it ain't working". If you don't have those types of people in your life, look to tumblr! There are lots of folks who would love to help you brainstorm, including good ole trash goblin auntie Noodle!
If you're specifically writing fanfiction, rewatch some episodes centered around your character and vibe. Is it a scary scene? Sexy? Does it include that character that only had one episode? regardless, rewatching is an amazing way to jog your memory on how to write them in character. If you're writing original work, still watch good movies and television, and read good books. I'm also working on becoming a screenwriter, and the biggest thing for me is absorbing great media.
Finally, if you ever randomly feel like writing, for the love of god please sit down and write! Just today, a random sentence popped into my head and this produced a 3000 word fic! I hope this is helpful, good luck!

Promoting A Film
So, you've finally made that great film you've wrote to show to the whole world. You spent time writing your masterpiece screenplay, raised the capital, scouted locations, hired your family members as crew members and took on your best friend playing the lead role in your movie. You took time editing the film to make it look like Steven Spielberg directed the film. So now what? Does one simply stand on the side of the road trying to sell the film on DVD from the back of one's car? (I've heard stories). No of course not, but there are ways to sell your film either as a self-distributor or selling it to a distributor to be released at the box office. Here are some steps to help market one's film.
A press release. A press release is simply telling news readers about you and your film, with an attached photo(s) to be shown. It talks about the cast of who's in it, the director, and the plot of your film. Try local newspapers in your area first before branching out.
Social Media. I love social media and the powerful use it has in this generation of posting newsworthy content that expands globally. Simply create a fan page on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and other platforms. Make sure to engage with the community on there so that they are part of the marketing campaign. Post videos and behind the scenes footage of your film too.
Website. Yes, please build a website about one's film and production company. Filmmaking isn't just an artist's expression, but a business. So why not let other see what your film and production company is about to help attract both investors and movie-goers.
4. Film festivals. I love going to film festivals and promoting a film that is ready to be seen by a panel of judges and fellow filmmakers. Film festivals is a great place to submit a completed film to be seen by distributors and studios from around the world. One can also meet and greet fellow filmmakers and screenwriters to see their work as well. Hand out business cards, exchange social media contacts and begin the process of networking in Hollywood. More recently, I personally became a board member of the Bedford International Film Festival in Bedford, Virginia to help promote creative culture in Bedford. (Link below). Also, go to Film Freeway's website, where one can submit a completed film and screenplay to any film festival worldwide. The Bedford International Film Festival is on there as well and one has until May 15th to submit both script and film(s).
5. Podcast. If one knows someone that owns a podcast channel, it is a great way to promote your film to listeners. Podcasts are now owned by celebrities who interview their guests who are celebrities, athletes, and other newsworthy people.
6. Radio. Who said radio was dead? There are a ton of radio stations out there to be featured in as a guest to talk about one's film. Make a call with your local station to see if an interview can be made and help promote one's film that way.
7. Local news. Being on the news is great and a wonderful way in promoting one's film. It builds up a positive image of the city one lives in and helps push the idea that any film can be made anywhere. Contact the local news stations via email or phone call to set up an interview.
Well, that is all seven ideas on how to promote and market one's film to help gain attention to one's work as a independent filmmaker. Please feel free to follow me on Tumblr and other social media platforms. Leave a comment below don't forget to submit one's completed film and screenplay to the Bedford Film Festival.

literally cannot think about that damn scene for longer than a second or i start climbing the walls and spinning counterclockwise on the ceiling screaming like imagine coming up with such effervescent impeccable incomprehensible levels of sexiness tension and style and then simply deciding to deprive the world of one of the most game changing moments in television history……
Tumblr media
P’X THOU ART A CRUEL SELFISH AND CAPRICIOUS GOD BUT IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO REDEEM YOURSELF!!!!!!
it wouldn't even be that hard to add a similar scene in the our skyy special tbh like.. from the bts pics we got i think it's pretty clear that the episode is gonna take place some years after the show ended, and maybe puen has retired from being an actor to become a full time screenwriter by then, but let's say his last movie included a scene where he had to shoot an arrow, so he and talay decided to set up a target to help him practice at home and even after puen was done with the shooting they never bothered taking the target down and eventually it just ended up becoming a permanent fixture in their yard (it's not like it's even bothering anyone or taking up too much space considering THEY COULD PROBABLY FIT AN ENTIRE GOLF COURSE IN THAT FREAKING YARD LIKE SRSLY HAVE YOU SEEN THE SHEER SIZE OF THAT PLACE?????)
and towards the end of the episode we could have them sitting outside and reminiscing about those years in-between that we didn't get to see and at one point the archery target comes up and they start teasing each other until they make a bet like the one in episode 3: the winner can make the loser do anything (because like you said they're deranged just like that and time only made them WORSE). and if anyone is tempted to think that since they're already together the whole thing isn't gonna be particularly charged then THEY SHOULD THINK AGAIN BECAUSE I AGREE WITH YOU THE FACT THAT PUEN AND TALAY HAVE BEEN TOGETHER FOR YEARS WOULD ACTUALLY MAKE IT ALL THE MORE DELICIOUS!!!!! like puen stepping close to talay to help him shoot until they're lined up front to back is very much deliberate!!!! and so is the way puen's hands slide down talay's arms to adjust his position, making every hair on talay's body stand up in response. and the arrow does end up on the target but it's way off center, so puen is very confident in his victory when he takes the bow from talay, but while he's aiming talay gets behind him and lightly blows some air on his neck which is enough to distract puen and make him miss the target completely
and talay looks so proud of himself and puen is smiling because it's not like he can deny talay anything anyway so he says 'what do you want me to do then' and since talay is a little shit he probably answers something like 'do laundry for a week' but when puen accuses him to not be romantic at all talay says 'then what about this', then he takes puen's hand, writes something on it with his finger and walks back into the house as a very confused puen tries to figure out what he wrote. hint: the episode ends with puen running after talay to pick him up and carry him to bed
ANYWAY PERSONAL DELUSIONS ASIDE WE NEED THE ARCHERY SCENE TO HAPPEN IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM PLEASE P'X WE'RE BEGGING

How 'Blue Period' Broke My Art Block - Anime Review
Tumblr media
Yaguchi voiced by Hiromu Mineta
For weeks, I’ve been struggling to pick up a pen and paper and choose something to watch as I’ve regularly been doing before, and ‘Blue Period’ immediately solved both of my problems. Just yesterday, I logged into Netflix and searched for an anime I intended to watch, but happened to click on this show and read its description. Right away, I’d forgotten my initial watch, clicked play, and found myself having zero regrets.

PASSION
It’s amusing how much a single drop of passion can bring life into someone’s soul and how it can completely guide or turn the trajectory of our lives. Yaguchi, a popular high-schooler, is suddenly sucked into the world of art when he spots a painting in which he finds inspiration.
At that moment, for the first time in my life, I had a real talk with others.
Episode 1 of Netflix’s ‘Blue Period’
At most times, passion hits us just like that. A single movie can trigger one to obtain the desire to be a screenwriter, but it may take several more for that person to begin typing another world away, just like how it took time for Yaguchi to realize the beauty found in art before completely diving into it. But nonetheless, it is that one movie or painting which changed our ways of viewing and living the world immensely, whether we become aware of it or not.
Art conveys things that cannot be conveyed by words. I realized that there are many interesting things and ideas in this world. When seeing it, you get to know it. When drawing it, you get to understand it.
Episode 2 of Netflix's 'Blue Period'
‘Blue Period’ managed me to recollect the love I had for art and how many of the same emotions Yaguchi has had once been felt by myself as well.

JOURNEY
Once Yaguchi stepped into the art room and saw Mori’s painting, he was already starting a journey he may have not known yet. Like most journeys in the process of learning other skills, art is all just the same, filled with a mix of crave-ful anxiety and excitement.
That guy is what you’d call a genius, right? I never thought I was talented.
Episode 3 of ‘Blue Period’
Unlike regular classes starting from kindergarten to college graduation, entering a class specified in your chosen skill to learn may either put you at an advantaged or disadvantaged start because peers in these communities and the time they started their passion for art varies. Some may have been pursuing their love for art since they were three, and others may have just found theirs out yesterday.
Hence, Yaguchi adapted the create, reflect, learn, and create again cycle, and inevitably succeeded in reaching his dreams.

PASSION & JOURNEY
Never once have I watched an anime where I was intrigued to read the manga instead, and I feel as though this makes the show far better and succeeds in its goal to have the audience explore the world of ‘Blue Period’ even further. Though the animation was nothing groundbreaking but rather simple and pleasing, I loved ‘Blue Period’ for its accurate description of passion and the long journey it takes you on.
