The Terror that Flaps in the Night is back! I just wish his series did...
Darkwing Duck returns as the Mayor of St. Canard, a retro-fied Zan Owlson from the Ducktales Reboot, is awarding Darkwing Duck with a statue. But when everyone took out their cell phones to get a good shot of the unveiling, they all turned into mind controlled slaves. And who is behind this Callous Capture Of Cell Phone Consumers? It’s Megavolt!
So Darkwing and Launchpad chases him as Gosalyn and Honker decide to try their own thing. Both groups realized that the Cell Phones are responsible for this. With Gosalyn wanting to stop this so Darkwing can give her a Cell Phone of her own (since he wouldn’t allow it) and Darkwing glad that he never gave her one. Also being upset with Launchpad because it meant he wasn’t taking any pictures.
Gosalyn’s plan is to create a big power surge to lure Megavolt to them. And she does so with a Rock Opera of the Darkwing Duck theme. But the thing about Mind Controlled Slaves is you can use them to do the dirty work. And Megavolt has them tied up as Darkwing arrives. He escapes as Darkwing prevents a large current heading towards them, by letting himself get shocked instead.
It’s thanks to that St. Canard got their power back, everyone being freed, and Darkwing confirming he’s not getting Gosalyn a Cell Phone. Overall, a pretty good beginning. There are two more issues after this beginning a storyline where Darkwing quits and tries to give Gosalyn a normal life. Seeing the episode about this as well as the previous comic series, I expect him to get back to Darkwing pretty soon. I do hope this series continues longer than the last one.

my brother just called me late at night, barely able to get two words out because he was laughing so hard. Finally, through the wheezing, he told me “go google the new Gollum game. Please”
So I did. And now I just spent half an hour on the phone nearly dying. We just kept sending eachother pictures of Gollum from the game and LOSING IT all over again. I haven’t laughed this hard in YEARS.

disco elysium will literally joke about how communists love complaining about other communists, lightly make fun of some communists (who are themselves making fun of other communists for not being the right kind of communist), and people will be like Oh they made fun of communists. i guess disco elysium was centrist all along

The return of the Mighty Morphing Era, again.
Thanks to Billy trying to bring Zordon back, Rita Repulsa is back and mechanical. After a battle, she killed the Yellow Ranger known as Trini, who risked her life saving Billy. A year later, Rita returns and kidnaps Tommy, Jason and Kimberly as well as others to power up a machine. Can our classic Rangers of three eras defeat Rita and her plan for domination?
Yeah, I'm being super vague with this one because off the bat, if you are a Mighty Morphin Era Power Rangers fan, I would recommend watching this. It's the first time in a long time (as far as I'm aware) that the actors behind Billy, Zack, Rocky, and Kat took up those roles once more. This is especially good for David Yost who had a troubling history behind the scenes with the series. So his return is reclaiming his rightful position among the Power Ranger Legends.
Watching it, it felt like watching an old episode only a little more mature. Like death is on the menu and Rita wants to kill. But it isn't like that dark and gritty way of being more mature, it's more about the subjects they're focusing on as it deals with things like survivors guilt, feeling responsible for the death, a grieving daughter and a caretaker trying to keep them safe. Things they never explored in the Morphin Era, but did later seasons.
It is still pretty fun as there are a ton of references to the series. Billy's Flying car, Zack doing Hip-Hop-Kido, Adam and Aisha making cameo appearances but not being there since they're in space. And it is pretty cool to see the Putties being shattered into blocks when destroyed. You only got to see that with Zed's versions and the effect here is better. They even have 3D Zords now, which is better than the original Movie's 3D.
Overall, I enjoyed this. It felt like a tribute to Trini since she'll be the only Ranger to not return to the series among the originals (Kimberly showed up in the Reboot Movie) but showed how important she was to them. And hopefully her legacy continues with the next generation of Yellow Rangers to come.

Nintendo is not your friend-o
emulation is preservation
also be quiet about your emulators and roms, I feel like yuzu doing as much as they did in the public facing sphere is at least partially to blame for it getting taken down, regardless of how you feel about the patreon stuff and the developers. The Less Nintendo knows, the better it is for everyone else.

Ngl I’m v disappointed with the ea-Nasir tumblr bracelet I got today. why? Well for starters I thought it would be somewhat adjustable, like maybe the metal would bend a bit so ya know it could stay on your wrist… nope one size fits all unfortunately. Oh well these things happen when you have small wrists it’s fine. What really is bugging me is that the actual cuneiform is printed onto the metal instead of engraved, which would normally be fine but I’ve only had it for a few hours and it already looks like the ink is trying to wipe off and is faded af. 3/10 would not recommend for anything other than sitting on a knick knack shelf
TLDR: don’t buy the ea-nasir tumblr shop bracelets they’re cheap af
