Ngl I’m v disappointed with the ea-Nasir tumblr bracelet I got today. why? Well for starters I thought it would be somewhat adjustable, like maybe the metal would bend a bit so ya know it could stay on your wrist… nope one size fits all unfortunately. Oh well these things happen when you have small wrists it’s fine. What really is bugging me is that the actual cuneiform is printed onto the metal instead of engraved, which would normally be fine but I’ve only had it for a few hours and it already looks like the ink is trying to wipe off and is faded af. 3/10 would not recommend for anything other than sitting on a knick knack shelf

TWO of them? im in. #The pacing is a bit weird - the first half could honestly be a contained novella. the second half is a bit all over the place #But I’m ultimately glad to have that extra more complex part of the story #it’s like very action packed with a few dense moments especially like the infodumps about what Lina / her mother’s deal is. #which kinda makes sense on a technical level (Moku learning this all at once) but also I definitely felt a bit confused at why/how some of #the stuff that was going on was happening #I did also find every now and then weirdly worded prose took me out of it? but I can look past that #I felt the side romance was random and weird. I felt like it did a disservice to her otherwise complex character to have her just forget #her goals and values because Hot Man? #idk. it’s lampshaded a bit by being viewed through the POV who also thinks it is weird and makes no sense #but they still get together again in the end…. I would have preferred if they didn’t. #that's mostly complaints LOL but the world is so rich and interesting and i love robots that are little shits (affectionate) #queer books

I love the idea of WrightWorth giving romantic advice to Klapollo because it would all be absolutely terrible.

Apollo wouldn’t even ask Phoenix, he would just be watering Charley or something and Phoenix would put a hand on his shoulder and say “I’m going to give you some advice, Apollo.”

Apollo: “What?”

Phoenix: “Advice. I’m going to give you some.”

Apollo: “…on watering the plant?”

Like it would start downhill from the very get go and only go further.

Phoenix: “You need to show him you care about him.”

Apollo: “What?”

Phoenix: “Have you tried stalking him through the news for a few years and continuously writing letters despite the knowledge you have that he won’t write back?”

But like, Edgeworth wouldn’t give any better advice! Klavier would drape himself over the desk in despair because he did something and Apollo said “I’m suddenly getting flashbacks to the conversation I had with Mr. Wright the other day” and he took that as an insult. Edgeworth would walk past and be like “Mr. Gavin, I must insist you act a little less dramatic. If you’re going to act as a lovesick fool, at least do so elsewhere.”

Klavier, immediately: “Give me advice, Herr Edgeworth.”

Edgeworth: “No.”

Klavier: “Then I guess I have no choice but to pull down a guitar and start singing the ballads I wrote-“

Edgeworth: “What would you like advice on?”

Klavier: “Just tell me how to win a man’s heart.”

Edgeworth: “Why do you assume I would know how to do such a thing?”

Klavier: “You are literally married.”

Edgeworth: “…have you tried faking your own death and leaving the continent?”

Like, just imagine. Phoenix and Edgeworth are just the most chaotic duo on the face of the earth, their advice would be terrible and super specific and Apollo would be like “I think I’ll take Mr. Edgeworth’s advice instead of yours” and Phoenix would immediately go to Edgeworth and say: “Babe, quick, I need to be a melodramatic baby and leave the country.”

Edgeworth, not even looking up: “Did Apollo say he’d rather listen to my advice again?”

I love these two chaotic wrecks of couples. I want Phoenix and Edgeworth to give advice and I want Apollo and Klavier to scoff but seriously consider taking it. It’s beautiful.

am i the only one who feels like alex(the world ender guy) was kind of a missed oportunity in vide noir? like, he was set up by johnnie to be a badass gang leader just for him to never even appear in the end, we just got a close up to his face scar

i feel like buck's encounter with the psychic would've been way more powerful if it was alex instead. its implied that johnnie and moonbeam had a relationship ig, but its barely even hinted at, and he never even mentions her. but with johnnie and alex, johnnie actually mentions him and speaks highly of his brother, and says alex will help buck if he sees the red cloth that belonged to johnnie

the fact that all that build up led to buck not even TALKING to alex kinda irks me. imagine how much better the payoff would be if alex had received the cloth instead of moonbeam? if we had seen his reaction to johnnie's death? if he would've helped buck like johnnie said he would? if we saw what johnnie implied alex would do to the guys who black brained his brother? idk man i think we were robbed

No I gotta agree on that. Like I LOVED seeing Moonbeam and getting know her as her and having all this new information about her (her being part of the World Enders is still wild to me and I love it) and it’s a good scene and all, but I’m still confused as to why they built up Alex so much, especially since this is the first time we’re hearing about him, and he never even got the chance to speak. If it were Dale I’d be a bit more understanding as we know him already (tho not by much cause I would have loved to see more of Dale). But it’s Alex, whose not only the leader of the World Enders but also Johnnie’s (and Dale’s) brother. I would’ve have loved to, you know, actually meet the guy. Especially with how much build up he got. And I GET IT Lord Huron’s lore is meant to be weird and vague and hard to pin down but like. Didn’t need to tease me like that come on

The only reason I could think of was maybe they needed to get Buck on his own again? Like having this the beginning of a war between the World Enders and Z’Oieasu shown or having Buck work with them consistently might have thrown off the tone. It is supposed to be Buck’s story and his own descent into madness. The whole album has this isolated vibe to me, like being alone in a city of people Hard to get that when there’s other people around, especially a group as lively as the world enders. Or maybe they just wanted to include Moonbeam back into the story again lol

GOD I would have loved to see Moonbeam’s scene with Buck done with Alex. I can only imagine how that scene would’ve played out and his reaction to Johnnie’s death. Contrasting Buck’s scene with Johnnie with Alex’s own personality, the possible dynamics, the anger and grief that could arise…..ough

I’m going to be very transparent for a sec. I’ve had two alcohol induced psychosis events happen to me in the past week where I attempted to harm myself and ended up talking to police officers. I’m a recovering alcoholic that tries really really hard but keeps relapsing. I’ve tried AA and therapy and nothing is helping because they keep telling me to look for “my higher power” and I’m not gonna lie, in my opinion, that shit is wack. I’m struggling a lot and faith is the last thing on my mind. Anyways, I wanted to make this post to thank y’all for being one of the main sources of happiness and support for me. I don’t get a lot of people outside of this community that reach out to me when im hurting so im very grateful to have y’all in my silly little phone. I promise I will be back to making mods and what not soon but I’ve been really enjoying making music, it feels almost therapeutic. But yeah, thanks for being here for me y’all. I love you guys.

I learned that today is the 17th anniversary of Squeak Squad’s release, and I didn’t have time to draw anything to commemorate it but I still wanted to post about it since it was the first Kirby game that I ever played and I have a lot of fondness for it.

I know that most people think that this is one of the weaker games in the series, and it’s true that other games have a stronger story and tougher final boss, but I still really like the game a lot for what it is. I think I was around nine years old when I got it for my DS and I always had fun playing it, it’s probably one of my most played games from my childhood and I enjoyed revisiting it as an adult when I played through it again last year. It felt a lot easier to play as an adult lol, I remember being kind of bad at it when I was younger even though it’s not a hard game. As a kid it took me a while to get all of the treasure chests and beat all of the bosses since I had favorite copy abilities that I’d always play as because I thought that they were fun or looked cool and I didn’t consider which ones were the strongest against specific bosses or which abilities I needed to get specific treasure chests. I really loved using Cupid, Bubble, and Animal because I thought that they were cute, and I liked possessing different enemies with the Ghost ability just to see what I could make them do.

Something else that I remember about playing through this game when I was a kid is that the ending cutscene used to make me sad lol… I remember thinking that Kirby looked lonely flying back to Popstar all by himself on his warp star, and for whatever reason that made me feel really sad. There’s nothing sad about this cutscene at all, but little nine year old me just really didn’t like that he was all alone in outer space.

I think that I would’ve really enjoyed playing Star Allies as a kid if it has been released back then since Kirby flies back with all of his friends in the ending cutscene. It always makes me smile a bit whenever I finish the game and see everybody flying back together, it’s just a very wholesome thing lol
