Wanna know what I think? I think Aziraphale went to heaven BECAUSE he loved Crowley. I think he wanted to take him with him and make him an angel again. Crowley was so happy when he was making the galaxy and the stars, he was so in love with the world, he was so incredibly amazed.

Aziraphale wants to give him that happiness,

But he misunderstands.

Crowley doesn't want to be an angel, he wants Aziraphale. He liked it on earth, and seems to prefer it to heaven. Yes, I'm sure he would love to go back to making stars but I don't believe he'd do such for God. I think he no longer believes She is "the good guy".

At least what I believe is that he truly loves being on earth, he loved being on earth with Aziraphale.

But you cants blame Aziraphale for wanting to give him his wings back, so to say. Aziraphale has been told since the very beginning that heaven was good, and anyone who wasn't happy in heaven must be bad because heaven is peace. Anyone who doesn't like heaven must not like peace.

It's a mix of that and the fact that when Crowley made the stars 𝘈𝘻𝘪𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦. He saw how happy Crowley was, you can only imagine he wanted that again.

After all, Aziraphale literally offered to take Crowley back to literal heaven. You wouldn't offer that to someone you didn't want the best for.

Of course we know that's not what's best for him, but you can't blame Aziraphale for thinking it was.

He wanted to "save" Crowley, I think. Because Crowley saved him just about a million times. Crowley helped him, risking his own destruction time and time again. I think Aziraphale just wanted to give that back.

But that's not what Crowley wanted. To Crowley, he wasnt being helped or saved. He was being left. He was being left after all he did for Aziraphale.

Abandonment is something heaven is fond of.

Crowley didn't think Aziraphale was the same, because he didn't want to. But I think he feels very betrayed now.

Aziraphale wanted to do good, but he ended hurting the person he had loved since the literal beginning of the universe.

You can't blame Aziraphale, because we've all hurt someone we loved on accident, especially when trying to help.

What matters is that if he apologizes he does it to apologize, and not for forgiveness.
