(now to preface, I'm not an artist so I'm a lil nervous, I just like colouring books)

My 1st page of the linked universe colouring book done.

The line art (Is that right? I think that's the word) is done by the wonderful @beyondtheglowingstars (Or supernova)

I fell in love with your Sky piece and just knew it had to be my first page to colour. The line art was just so soft and lovely and I love Sky and Crimson so much they are beloved.

the more i think about it, the more i like the fact that in Prodigy (and prospectively in shows set beyond then) the galaxy in Star Trek is much more connected, known, and easy to traverse than in the tng era shows. it makes sense that the legacy of ds9's forays into the Gamma Quadrant and particularly Voyager's journey through the Delta Quadrant would result in way fewer unknown parts of the galaxy and Starfleet's position shouldn't be about exploring but rather about forging connections with each other; trying to understand and learn rather than mindlessly spread outwards. (there's also something to be said about trying to alter the imperialist foundations of Star Trek and whether that can be done but that's another post.)

and from the point of view of technological development, it does make sense that a post-Voyager trek would have to deal with all this new tech Voyager came up with to speed up its 70 year journey. like yeah, of course Janeway would have a slip-stream drive installed on the Dauntless (one that is hopefully less likely to throw your ship into an ice planet). of course members of Voyager's crew (like Chakotay) would join the Protostar project to keep exploring faster than warp travel after 7 years of doing just that. of course there would be abandoned parts of the Borg transwarp networks still around and usable (as we see in Picard s1) after the network was fractured in Endgame. and as much as we joke and meme about Tom breaking the Warp 10 barrier like. that is still a significant scientific breakthrough that would have consequences. and it would certainly be in Starfleet's interest to try to maintain the relationships Voyager forged in the Delta Quadrant.

idk i would love to see Prodigy (and any other post-Voyager trek) actively dig into that idea a little bit more. like yes we boldly went or whatever but how are those people on those "strange new worlds"? do we still talk to them? do they like us? what sort of trade do we engage in with them? is it ethical trading? how are Federation diplomatic envoys dealing with like a million new states and cultures to negotiate with? how common is faster than warp travel now? what about outside of the Federation? how many people have been stranded 50 years from home after their engine died? what innovations have there been in communication systems? and most importantly – is Neelix still ambassador to the Delta Quadrant?

THE BUBBLESCOOPS ONE FOR THE WIP ASK

i put on Chappell and then got sooo distracted by the music that i just sat there vibing for a second and not writing haha (under the cut bc kind of NSFW

The pink ribbons were a beautiful contrast against Carol’s flushed plae skin. They hadn’t even done anything but her jaw was slack, pretty, glossy lips parted, and her hair sticking to her forehead. Jesus…

Robin pulled the ribbons a bit tighter, unsure of whether or not she was allowed to do that, but of fuck was it worth it when Carol’s head dropped back against the plush headboard, her fingers flexing and her teeth digging into her lip. “Fuck, touch me,” she gasped out, trying to move her hips against Robin’s knee again, but Robin moved her leg away, nudging her nose against Carol’s with how close their faces now were, her hands undoing the clasp of that stupidly sexy white bra. 

“I am touching you.”

“Asshole.”

Robin snickered, pressing a kiss to Carol’s lips, which looked red and raw from her teeth–teeth that Robin desperately wanted to lick at, to have make marks against her jaw and thighs, cut open the inside of her mouth so that she could taste blood. That was probably too weird, spitting blood into someone’s mouth was a whole different level of kinky, so she didn’t tell any of that to Carol, just undoing the straps to get the bra fully off of Carol. In hindsight, she should have taken the bra off before she tied Carol up, but…oh well, whatever. 

"That's not gonna get you what you want, is it, baby? Gotta be nice to me," Robin muttered, dropping the bra onto the floor. "Which is gonna be hard for you, I know, being a bitch is like--in your DNA or something."

A whimper slipped from between Carol's lips, and Robin froze, her lips just under Carol's jaw, now. "Hm?"

"Don't call me that."

"What--bitch?"

Carol let out a punched out sound, and Robin didn't think it was just because of her hand hiking up Carol's skirt, fingers pressed to the crease of her inner thigh, feeling against her underwear. "Oh, you like that, don't you? Yeah?"

Carol shook her head, her eyes watering, but she didn't say red and she didn't say stop, so Robin kept going, teeth scraping against Carol's sweat-slick skin as she muttered, "You wanna be my bitch, baby?"
