P R E V I O U S C H A P T E R

You hear the birds before you open your eyes. Memories from last night wash over you the second you shift your arms. You feel the warm body laying next to yours.

This felt unreal.

Your eyes open slightly and you can see Bucky's back and the back of his head. A head of cute boyish dark brown hair.

You looked down, impressed that he managed to still keep his arm around you.

You didn't want to wake him up, but at the same time you both didn't want to call too much attention to yourselves in the house.

It's then that you remember that that means the girls know you didn't sleep in your room and the guys know he didn't sleep in his.

You sigh, deciding to think about that later and think about the now instead.

You felt a smile on your lips as you bury yourself more within the blankets. You moved up until your hands were against his back.

You fall back asleep for a little bit longer.

You don't know how long you're out for before you're awaken by the bed shifting up and down. You groan slightly as you stretch out your legs and toes.

Your eyes flicker open.

Bucky's sitting up on his side of the bed, but he was facing away from you.

He must've heard your little groan because he turns his head to look at you.

The second your eyes meet, a million butterflies escape into your tummy.

You can feel your cheeks burn.

He smiles at you.

He reaches over to place the phone he had been just using on the night stand.

"Hey," he says quietly. He stretches over to you and brushes one of your hair strands away from your shoulder, "sleep okay?"

You nod. You feel the tingles on your skin where he just touched you.

"Yeah. You?"

He lets out a small chuckle.

"Yeah." He says softly.

You keep eye contact as you make a grab for his hand that is still on your arm, and you take his hand, bring it to your lips, and kiss his knuckles there.

He keeps eyes contact with you the whole time.

Was this what high school sweethearts really were?

Was this both of you now?

You're convinced it has to be because you've never felt like this with anyone ever. Not even Steve.

He wasn't even close.

You felt like you were in a damn Taylor Swift song right now.

"So you like me." He says sweetly, pulling you away from your thoughts.

Both your eyes soften. He runs his thumb over your cheek.

"I do." You say.

"About last night—" he starts.

"It was perfect. Unexpected, but I'm glad it happened." You whisper.

"I'm glad it happened, too," he pulls his hand away from you and he fixes himself until he's laying on his side facing you. It's then that you notice he already has his boxers back on, "how are you feeling?" He asks.

"A little sore, but not bad."

"Good."

You move in closer to him until your hands are on his chest. He welcomes you, throwing his arm around your waist.

"I don't want to leave here yet. Can it just be us for a little bit?" You ask.

"I'd love to stay with you here," he takes in a deep breath, "but it is almost eleven AM. We're going to have to go down eventually."

"It's eleven?"

He hums a confirmation.

You lay for a few more minutes in comfortable silence.

"I'm going to need to run to the store. We can go just us together. Would give us some time alone." You say.

"Awww I'm honored. You only want to spend time with me." Bucky says, a playful tone in his voice.

"It's not that I don't want to spend time with my friends, it's just, we —we're something. I want to be with you. Not just in general, but today."

You feel a finger under your chin and you tilt it up to where it guides you.

He runs his lips over yours. It's languid and dances with your own sensually.

He pulls away.

"You're something else," he runs his hand over your face, "beautiful, gorgeous, sweet, smart." his eyes dart down to your lip.

His words are precious.

You lean up and kiss him again, this time letting your tongue run over his. You feel his hand drag down your neck, your arm, and eventually to your hip. You pull back way too soon, he sighs, and you place soft kisses over his upper chest.

"When we get back home remind me to make your parents some of my famous jalapeño poppers."

Bucky laughs out loud.

"Jalapeño poppers?" He continues to laugh, turning onto his back until he's staring at the ceiling. You watch this beautiful boy fill with happiness, a hand running through his messy post-sex hair, "you're so silly, squirmy."

You suddenly understand the meaning of his words and it has heavy tears brewing in your throat. He's glad you survived your accident and that you were both able to experience this, "Does it hurt?" He asks you sweetly.

"Sometimes." Your response is barely a whisper.

You both close your eyes as he brings your leg around his hip. He closes the distance between the both of you, kissing you the deepest you've ever been kissed.

You sigh against his lips, running your hand up the side of his face and to the back of his neck.

When he eventually pulls away from you, you feel cold. Like ice.

You needed him to keep warm.

"We should go down." You say.

The second you both step into the kitchen, the talking quiets down. Everyone tries to keep attention to what they were previously doing, but the obvious glances and smiles are noticeable.

You feel yourself blushing as you make your way to the fridge for some orange juice.

You sneak behind Sam and he mumbles a quick sorry when he realizes he's in your way.

Bucky sits next to Sharon on the stool at the island. He picks at the grapes, grabbing a few and popping them in his mouth.

"I was worried when we didn't see you guys last night. It started to rain bad." Steve says from the couch.

"Yeah it got pretty bad." You say, still not making eye contact with anyone, pouring your juice in your glass.

Did they hear you guys?

You had both tried so hard to be quiet.

Bucky moves slightly in his seat and his eyes inadvertently meet Matt's across the room. He's sitting there next to Steve, a heavy and dark look in his eyes.

He looked pissed.

Bucky was getting tired of this guy and whatever problem he had with him.

Bucky looks away, resisting the urge to eye roll.

"We're running out in a bit. Gonna go grab some more drinks and shit, you down to come with us, Buck?" Sam asks as he leans back against the counter.

Bucky's eyes flicker to you and to Sam.

"Sure. When are you guys going?" He asks.

"In a few minutes. We can wait for you."

You clear your throat.

"Actually, me and Bucky were going to stop somewhere together first, if that's alright with you Bucky? I'll promise to have him back not too late for you guys to go then to the store." You say confidently.

Bucky smiles. He was genuinely curious for what you had in mind.

It's then that his eyes travel down your neck and he feels a heavy blush on his face.

"Okay, cool." Sam says.

You take a few sips of your OJ and turn for some toast. That's cut too soon, though, when you hear Carol call you.

"Come over here, we gotta show you something." Carol calls from the couch where she's shifting next to Matt and across from Steve. Once you sit down on her other side she leans forward to whisper in your ear, "did you see your neck?"

You're confused by her question.

"My neck?" You pull away to examine yourself, your eyes darting briefly to Steve who has an interesting look on his face. Carol giggles and brings you in again by your arm, "you have hickeys everywhere, girl."

You and Bucky both jump into your Jeep, but Bucky jumps into the drivers side and you in the passenger seat.

He starts your car and kicks on the heat to low.

"Offensive but cute," he puts on his seatbelt and puts the car in rear to back out of the parking space. The puts his right hand on the back of your seat and looks behind him as he does so, his left palm turning the wheel as he goes, "what are you talking about?"

"I need plan b, I'm not on birth control." you explain.

He finishes backing up and puts the car into drive.

He looks over at you for a second.

"Shit, right. Okay."

"And...we need to get condoms. I'm not going on birth control right now cuz of stuff I have going on in my eighteen year old body that pisses me off, so we're going to have to stick to the classic way for now."

You rip the pink box open once you're in your seat.

Bucky hands you a water bottle and you take the pill.

"Head back to the cabin?" He asks as he turns the car back on.

"It's not." You show him the way through the roads, "just take that first left onto Hollow Terrace and then you're see a bench on the side of the road, you can turn in there."

He follows your directions.

Hollow Terrace is a long road. Secluded and isolated; completely incased by large maple trees.

"You didn't bring me out here to kill me, did you?" He asks.

"Always." You reply quickly, tossing him a toothy grin, "right here!" You tell him once you see the bench.

He turns the car onto a gravel road. He drives for a few more hundred feet until the trees disappear and you're face to face with a guardrail. Behind that in the distances is a large body of water, a huge lake, and a mountain.

"An overlook?" He asks as he pulls up near the edge of the cliff.

"One of my favorite spots."

"You sure have a lot of favorite little spots around here." He whispers, looking out into the scenery, "it's beautiful."

You lean forward and leave a kiss on his shoulder.

You then lean down next to your feet and you pull out the plastic bag that you had brought from the cabin.

You hand him a foiled square.

"I made us sandwiches."

"I was wondering what that was!"

You smirk at him as you both open your own little squares.

"I come prepared." You say.

"Can I ask something?" He says, halting on his sandwich. You nod, "can we take the top off?" He motions to the top cover of your jeep.

You raise a brow at him and then look at the cover.

"Sure. I mean we'll be freezing on the ride back to the cabin, but yeah. We can take the doors down too. It's a bit heavy though. I'd have to help you. We can put them in the back. I have a cotton tarp so they don't scratch up."

"Let's do it." He doesn't even hesitate to hop out the car.

You both get the doors and cover off in about fifteen minutes.

"So what was your plan?" You ask him, hands on your hips.

He smiles at you and climbs into the front seat. He reaches his hand for you but on the passenger side.

"Come on." You follow his lead and before you can sit he stands up and places his hands on your waist. He picks you up easily and places you on the bar that runs down the middle of the car. He follows and sits next to you, "now we can eat." He says, reaching back for his sand which.

You're halfway down your second sandwich and you and Bucky have discussed everything from your childhood to your families. Bucky was still waiting to hear about his mother's status. You were both waiting on hearing back from the colleges you applied to.

You felt it was too early to still discuss if you should try to get colleges close to each other. It was a lot of pressure and this was only your second day together.

"Do you listen to Taylor Swift?" You ask him suddenly.

He chuckles.

"Uhm. Not a lot but I know some songs, I guess. Like the mainstream ones? I don't really listen to them on repeat, though," he takes a gulp of his water and looks at you, "why? You a fan?"

"I'm not a swiftie but there are songs I really like. I don't know why I brought it up honestly, I guess it's because I feel like what we're doing right now is just so..." you take a deep breath as you look up at the sky for words to explain what you were thinking.

"So...." Bucky mimics you, waiting for an answer.

"It's very, I was enchanted to meet you." Is the only explanation you can think of.

He doesn't say anything to that. You continue to eat until he's eventually finished and he wipes his mouth with a napkin.

"Mom wants to know what I'm up to right now." You say, looking down at your phone.

Bucky leans his right arm down on the car and places a kiss on the left shoulder.

"Tell her the truth."

You turn to him and smile.

"And what's that?"

He looks down at you and pushes your hair behind your ear.

"Your sitting on your car, eating sandwiches, looking at the mountains, and singing Taylor Swift lyrics," his gaze goes to your hair and he rolls the strands between his fingers, "with Bucky."

The words linger in the air until your eyes meet again.

You lean forward and kiss him softly.

"Okay." You say when you pull away.

He wasn't expecting you to actually listen to him, and the fact that you were telling your mother about him sent an excitement through him that he had never really felt before.

You don't know how long you both stay out there, but it's long enough to where Bucky needs to reach back and grab you an extra sweatshirt in your trunk. He helps you pull it on.

"You ready to go?" You ask him.

"Yeah, we should." He says.

You both get into your seats but he doesn't drive off and he doesn't turn the car on.

You wonder if he's feeling the same thing you are and if that's why.

"Bucky." You whisper hoarsely.

He turns to look at you and you don't realize he was holding in a deep breath. The second your eyes meet, he exhales through his nose.

Skipping 2 my point, The summary of the episode Temptation stairway is tht Moony and Ena have a bet 2 race 2 the Great Runas! The Great Runas, can grnt u any wish accordng 2 Moony n som of those Ena passes by on the wy. The wager, is tht "whoever reaches the top of the Great Runas n makes their wish 1st, has 2 pay the debts of the loser" (yes it’s phrased like that) As Ena journeys thru, The DIFFERENCES between Ena Temptation Stairway and Ena Extinction Party n Below, is mor obvious as the epsde progrsses, even 2 wher Happy's voic actor is the 1 screamng in agony 2 jst get murdered already. The Episode ends w Moony beatng Ena (but it's 100% possibl it can be the other way arnd, that ENA Beat Moony, b thats somth I'll discuss in a bit L8r). Moony splits in half, revealing that according 2 her, "she wished 2 be skinny" n a humanoid coms out of her previous form. As 4 Ena, Her blue side slowly dispprs n its not answrd why.

I headcanon Ena as a system bc of the accidentl system!rep, but it explains 2 me y n how she switches! she has triggers 4 when she switchs 2 a diffrnt side, etc!

Ther hav been theories about Temptation Stairway in the past (before the episode cme out) wher ppl try 2 explain y the trailer Looks Like Tht. Besides theorizing abt the introduction of a new forme (I'm ok w just calling it Scared/Anxiety 4 now until 4rthr notic), 1 of the theories ive seen is tht Temptation Stairway's new introduced forme is due 2 being something akin 2 being "integr8d" (probably by force, accordin 2 the OP) (in other words, all her sides merge in2 one) n Ena being devast8td abt it

While tht theory is now DEBUNKED, bc the new forme clearly did not come out bc of being One Single Mind now, the "integr8ion" part of tht theory is unfortun8ly a littl tru

What is Integr8ion?

Integr8ion is not inherently a bad thing. In systems, ther are 2 definitions: "the breaking down of barriers 2 form healthy multiplicity, n then healthy communic8ion n less amnesiac barriers" and the othr, n mor FAMOUS definition bc its the oldest 1, is "final fusion"

Fnal Fusion is when all the members "fuse/merge" 2gether until ther is 1 single mind left. While not necssrlly a bad thng, final fusion n ther4 "integr8ion" is a scry thing 4 a lot of systems 2 talk abt, because in the history of Treatment, Final fusion is uslly somthng forcd on2 systems 4 the longest time :^(

Very valid 2 hav final fusion as a goal, b showng it as a desire n end goal is uslly seen as a sad n even scry thing 2 promote accdntly or not in media, bc of the previous traumas in the medicl/therapy world of system treatment etc

What's Worse. is tht if we apply the Ending 2 Temptation Stairway to the System!Ena Theory, thts wht hurts!!!

Ok so Now tht ive described my intro n Main Beef w the Episode, here's a theory I cn rlly get behind tht dsnt mke me wnna cry behind a Denny's. Prsnlly it's a rlly relievng theory even if it mite b hard 2 take in

Ther's no name 4 it, som call it the Enaverse, b just so it dsnt get confusd w other definitions (like, u wldnt call it the Marvel Cinematic Universe theory, the MCU is jst wht it is) I'm gnna call it the Multi-Ena theory! Bsclly, there's mor than 1 Ena in thise universe. But I'll get in2 a sub/partner theory tht is also possibl: ther is mor than 1 enaverse n somhow u may or may not b abl 2 travel between them

Part 3: The Multi-Ena theory

Something interesting I noticed was that the shepherds says “another ENA troublemaker?” Which definitely means more than one ENA/person has been there before.

(I blockd out the rest of the commnt not bc it ws bad, b i wantd 2 focus on this part of the commnt, but thise commnt will come up again L8r)

Not connected 2 System!Ena or the integr8ion issue I mentioned earlier, the multi-ena theory seems 2 b 1 of the top suggstd theories bc of many thngs! Bsclly n in short, thise theory believs tht in the series (or Enaverse), ther is multipl ena's! So fr i havent seen a post tht RLLY went in2 depth on thise so here is my attempt!

Evidence:

In Temptation Stairway, Gabe n Lizzie Freeman r all creditd undr the sme nme, just as "Ena" (mening thise is a completely different Ena from the past)

Again, as said in my summry 4 Tempt8ion Stairway, thise Ena acts compltly diffrnt n is not follwng the sme "pattern" or rules as Ena did in Episodes 1-2! (Read above in my summary section) Either ther r stuff we've missd between Extinction Party n Temptation Stairway, or thise is a diffrnt Ena entirely. I'd hav 2 sy prsnlly tht I'm leanng 2wrds the latter bc of how the VA's are crdtd. but if ur not convinced, let me continu:

When we meet the Shepard in 7:52 of the episode, they say (verbatim) "Arghh... Another ENA trouble maker." which implies there r more than 1 Ena's

9:08 - 9:19 when Ena jumps in2 the "Holy Code" where we head undrwtr in2 a sea of diffrnt doors, we see floating Ena models (n the comment section seems 2 gravit8 2 callng them "dead bodies") (Honorary mention: You'll notic they glitch in2 Mannequins if u pay attention 2 them). This piec of info is Direct Evidence 2 the multi-ena theory, bc ther r Explicitly mor thn 1 ena's on screen! wht's concernng n unanswrd tho, is y do they glitch in2 mannequins? Does tht mean all the mannequins we sw on screen in the begnng of the video (n onwards) were all previously an Ena? Is it only an Ena tht can transform in2 a mannequin or cn othr chrctrs also become mannequins?

Not the strongst evidenc b i'll input it anywy: Ena's Action boxes (Like when she receivs or gives items) spell her nme her as ƎNA (with a backwrds E). The thing abt thise 1 is tht we can't compare it with Auction Day n Extinction Part bc they don't have any action boxes. BUT What we CAN compare is how she is spelled in the dialogue boxes of those speakng in diffrnt languages AND in the Credits! In Episodes 1-2, She's Spelled as Ena with this captialis8ion. In Temptation Stairway the dialogue and credits consitntly spell her as ENA in all caps. May or may not allude 2 her being diffrnt, b i will admit this is the most Strechiest piec of evidnc. Tru or not, I'd like 2 refer 2 Tempt8ion Stairway ena as TS!Ena or ƎNA, prsnlly 2 differenti8 her frm the othr episodes

Pronounci8ion: BUT 2 build on the above evidence, In the beginning of the episode, Moony DOES pronounc Ena's name in different wys a lot, startng w I-NA (ai-na), ENA (ehna), n finally JENA. And this isnt new! She’s been doing it sinc Auction Day (ee-nah/ii-na) n Extinction Party (ay-nah). Thise may or my not sggst that perhaps Moony's inconsistancy is bc these othr pronunci8ions or names cld b of other ena's she's met in the past w similr or diffrnt preferences! I’d say because of her constant switchng in the beginning of Temptation Stairway, it would lean 2wards that she may know different Ena’s @ once. Otherwise, c the Multi-Enaverse theory below

Note: Every othr charctr besides Moony (So far; Merci and the Shepard) Pronounces Ena as ehna (or ehna) so it might be that perhaps Eh-na is the universal way of pronouncng Ena?

Conlusions/thghts on this theory: I prsnlly like thise a lot!! It makes Enasonas Very Possible, b also tht any interpret8ion of Ena cn b corrct or possibl! It knda saddens me tho bc im not rlly sure if we'll ever return 2 the Ena we're used 2, I wldnt rlly want 2 b stuck w/o Sad bc I thnk her role is rlly neat n can b importnt, b im biasd. Primarily thise my explain Not jst Ena's sudden Shift in how diffrnt she is in thise episode b may also explain how Diffrnt Moony is actng in thise episode 2. While thise isnt the top theory i prsnlly subscribe 2 (sinc ther isnt explicit evidence besides it bein an explan8ion 4 Moony n Ena's weird/diffrnt behavior), it DOES open a lot of doors 2 intrstng things 2 thnk abt!

Bsclly Moony keeps mispronouncing Ena’s name a lot (in Tempation Stairway) n its Really Rude, esp consdrng she’s always said it properly (As in @ least 1nce in an episode n not switchng multiple times) b4! so 2 Explain her Sudden change in behavior, this is actlly a Different Moony, besides a different Ena. this is a whole different universe/timeline!

LIKE If not multiple Ena's, The different Loca8ions in Ena cn probbly b traversible across dimensions! The Holy Code may b the door 2 diffrnt enaverses. The Great Runas is actlly a play on the "Run As" Command! I'm not very Smart engh 2 break thise down vry well, b bsclly w all the allusion 2 "codes" n the Blood ID looking like a Chip, The Great Runas being abl 2 grant u wishes makes a lot of sense! This ws brought up 2 me from a friend (@ambercard)!

like its a command line. so then the great runas being able to grant wishes makes sense if its digital world like all the code stuff says Allows a user to run specific tools and programs with different permissions than the user's current logon provides.

its possible using the blood id akin to using the run as administrator command since idk their name but one of the people ena met said the blood id didnt seem like her which is like. if she isnt administrator then it would make sense that using that command wouldnt match who she is

The Enaverse is all a computer code of some sort- most probbaly a game! AKA: This is a digital world

... If we were too treat this world as a video game this would make more sense since different play through bus and all that. Oh god this feels like a fnaf situation, taking a video that just wants to be a video and turning it into a big serious thing

Going with the whole ‘there are multiple enas representing the player’ theory, perhaps this ENA realized that she’s in a video game and isn’t taking it too well? But the game is kind of glitching out because of it.

Standout things from this animation:

-This Ena switches between a male & female voice at seemingly random instead Happy speaking with a male voice and Sad speaking with a Sad voice. The text boxes noticeably refer to this Ena with a reversed E, and The Shepard says "Another Ena troublemaker", implying that there are multiple Enas. We also see some Ena corpses flickering into the mannequin bodies at one point. Third, at the end we see Ena's sad half turn from blue to yellow over the course of Ena & Moony's conversation. My personal theory is that this Ena is possibly 'broken' in some manner. -Moony either doesn't care or dosen't realize that Ena's voices aren't matching the personalities anymore. -The grey personality appears to come out when Ena gets too stressed out. Notably the transformation involves the happy half turning into static and exploding out, erasing Ena's face in the process. It also appears that some physical trauma (in this case, Brick Frog kicking Ena) is necessary to exit the grey personality, unlike the previously seen 'blackout' personalities which can possibly be switched by the other personality exerting themselves (in the auction episode, Ena enters her sad blackout/depressed personality, then switches to Happy!Ena, who apologizes to Moony about her depressed outburst). -Moony's hole is capable of closing to hold things, and she also knows how to skateboard. -Judging by Ena's reaction, Moony's transformation at the end is weird even by this universe's standards.

as it progresses, he gets a little more open in private, but there are some days where yuri just doesn’t want affection

B -> Begin (How did the relationship begin?)

you two were flirting MASTERS bruh

the tension in the monastery was unreal from the moment you two met. at first it wasn’t really serious, instead just trying to fluster the other, but eventually you gained some genuine feelings and he did too. yuri never really actually asked you out, it just kind of happened one day

C -> Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How do they cuddle?)

yuri’s kind of temperamental when it comes to cuddling. he doesn’t mean to be, but some days just aren’t cuddling days.

growing up, yuri didn’t get the affection he needed after being adopted. a sudden onslaught of affection and cuddling sometimes gets really overwhelming for him and he just needs to chill for a bit

unfortunately, yuri would pull some shit out of his ass like he did in the ashen wolves route. he’d come up with some lie as to why he’s breaking up with you and make you hate him so that it’s a little easier for him. newsflash, it’s never easier

yuri is definitely not going to jump at the chance of marriage, but he’d be willing to sit down and talk with you about it. after you’d been together for a long time, of course

he’s good with commitment, like exceptionally good, which is why i don’t think that he believes marriage is necessary. what’s the point other than earning a new last name? you love him and he loves you, he doesn’t think that there needs to be some big ceremony to know that

but if you’re adamant about it, he won’t be against it. as long as the wedding ceremony isn’t too big

G -> Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

physically, yuri is very gentle. he’s kind of awkward at first, not knowing what to do, so he’s lowkey kind of scared of doing the wrong thing. everything he does is done with precision and care to make sure that you’re comfortable and happy

emotionally, it takes him a while to be a little less... closed off. yuri is blunt and brutally honest, preferring not to sugar coat things or get caught up in sweet pleasantries. he has to realize that sometimes, those things can be taken as mean and the last thing he wants to do is be mean to you. showing you his soft side comes slowly, but it’s worth it when he does.

hugs are reserved for the small, fleeting private moments that the two of you get alone

they’re loose, with his arms draped around your waist and yours resting on his shoulders as he smiles down at you, talking sweet nothings in a hushed voice

yuri’s love language is definitely not words of affirmation

it’s acts of service but that’s not what this letter is about

yuri doesn’t say i love you often. you’re the one to say it first, and even then, it’s a little hard for him to get out. it’s not that he doesn’t love you, because trust me, he does, it’s just that it’s such a vulnerable thing that caught him completely off guard when you said it.

he does say it back, though, muffled into the crown of your hair as he holds you in the middle of the night

J -> Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

to get yuri jealous is to accomplish the impossible

to even consider you as his s/o, yuri has to have an enormous amount of trust in you. he has faith that you won’t ever betray him

but if he does, somehow, get jealous, it’s kind of funny to watch. he’ll just casually walk up to whoever you’re talking to and join in on the conversation, making sure to butt in and interrupt the guy. he just wants to make the dude super duper frustrated, and it works.

K -> Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

super fiery and possessive, and yet unsure at the same time. yuri’s so passionate about you and loves you a lot, but he’s always on the cautious side, making sure that you’re comfy and okay

he love love love loves to kiss the crown of your head, especially as he’s holding you against his chest. it makes him feel like he’s protecting you

kiss his neck and chest!! please! he absolutely melts, even if it’s just cute lil loving sfw kisses

L -> Little Ones (How are they around children?)

yuri is very very good with kids. he’s like a hero to the children in the abyss, so he’s got a lot of practice. he loves to sit with them and tell them stories. his most popular is about a robin hood-esque character who somehow managed to get the most beautiful, sweetest person in the world to fall in love with him. that story makes you blush every time.

M -> Mornings (How are mornings spent with them?)

mornings together aren’t too often, but they’re not as scarce as they would be with felix. yuri’s day starts bright and early and he’d like it if yours did too. he’d love to wake up and spend like five minutes with you, but if you’re not an early bird he’d understand

if you’re still asleep by the time he wakes up, he’ll lay on his side and just admire you for a bit, running his fingers through your hair and just looking at you before giving you a kiss on the forehead and getting up to start his day.

N -> Nights (How are nights spent with them?)

nights with yuri kind of depend on his mood

as said in earlier headcanons, there are times when yuri just doesn’t want to be touched. those nights, you both just lay side by side and talk about different things

on nights that he’s comfortable with cuddling, he often will lay facing you and will hold you to his chest, his chin resting on your head as he rubs small circles into your back, still talking about the day and future plans

O -> Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything at once or wait to reveal things slowly?)

even years into your relationship with yuri, you’re still learning things. it’s usually menial things that he doesn’t deem necessary for someone to know, but you’re still learning.

it’s not that yuri doesn’t trust you, because he does, it’s just that he’s not an open person. he doesn’t find talking about his past beneficial for anyone, so he just doesn’t do it.

he will confide in you about his real name right after you get together, though, asking you to never use it again after that.

P -> Patience (How easily angered are they?)

yuri is very slow to anger. sure, he gets frustrated at times, but he’s never one to show such negative emotions. if someone sees that they’re getting to him, that’s a weakness that he just doesn’t want people to see.

he wouldn’t really ever get mad at you, i wish i could elaborate more on that but yuri’s just really tolerant and you don’t really do anything to make him mad anyways??

Q -> Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

yuri remembers big things like your birthday or other significant facts, but sometimes he has to be reminded of smaller things like your mother’s father’s dog’s cousin’s name. he remembers most things is what i’m trying to say

yuri likes to remember the day he realized that you were the one. he was very stressed that day because the abyssians were getting nervous about rumors of an impending attack from thieves and he was struggling calming them all down

you jumped right into the chaos when you saw what was happening and quickly began soothing the abyssians as well, rallying them up and improving their morale just in case they actually would have to defend their home again

yuri’s heart swelled as he realized that you truly cared about his people and his home as much as he did

S -> Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

yuri’s quite protective, but in a secretive way. he’s not really... out there. he chooses to watch you from the corner of his eye when you’re in the same room or fight close to you when you’re in battle, only swooping in to save the day when you absolutely need it.

that’s how he’d prefer to be “protected” as well, just don’t call it protected because the great yuri leclerc does NOT need protection according to him. don’t be overbearing, let him handle things and only really come in when he absolutely needs it.

T -> Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, etc?)

yuri would definitely try to make special days special, but he wouldn’t do much in terms of physical gifts. instead, he’d make you take a day off from duties and treat you to a tea party or a trip to the sauna and such

U -> Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

yuri will always always always struggle with leaning on you for support. he’s used to being the big, lone wolf leader who doesn’t need anybody and that won’t change easily.

V -> Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks? Do your looks bother them?)

yuri is naturally a beauty, so he doesn’t really try with his looks. even if he doesn’t really think he’s that much of a catch, he doesn’t bother to make himself one either.

your looks don’t bother him at all. he likes you for your personality, loyalty, strength, and all those things. it’s just a plus that you’re exceedingly attractive

honestly i am........ too lazy to make this a nice bio so plz forgive me for settling on bullet points ,, but at least that’s less reading for you !!!!

mckenna’s father is from wales and works as a plastic surgeon for the rich and fabulous and her mother is from new york and works a beautician and stylist for celebrities . together they had 5 children in total , the kid in the very middle being kenna . the family spent most of her childhood living in wales before moving to new york just before mckenna started high school

Jon, Arya and the Childhood BFF to Lovers Trope: Or, why everyone ships J0nsa

I had an argument with my sister which was precipitated by her quipping “nobody likes childhood BFFs” and “hot new guy is always endgame.” I almost flipped a table. I sat there and I seethed for 30 seconds and then I texted her back PIRATES OF THE MOTHERFUCKING CARIBBEAN and I gotta say I was p pleased with myself because yes, Elizabeth and Will end up together even though Jack Sparrow exists and is indisputably hot.

My sister and I are reading Jenny Han’s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. This is a story that sets out to deconstruct the trope of “It was always gonna be you and me,” and while my sister can crow all day about how Hot New Guy Gets the Girl, I want to examine why it makes thematic and structural sense for that to be endgame. I think it comes down to the protagonist, who seldom ventures out of her comfort zone and has trouble letting herself want things. The combination of extremely deep feeling and almost pathological constraint is what makes her story so compelling—because in the course of the novel she learns to unabashedly want things, to reach out and take them: and what she wants is the sardonic lacrosse-playing jock, not the Boy Next Door she’s had a crush on since forever. One of the running gags in the background is her nine-year-old little sister inventing increasingly far-fetched reasons she should be allowed to have a puppy, because the kid “knows what she wants and will do anything it takes to get it.” The contrast with hyper-repressed Main Character could not be more pronounced. I ask you, who does Main Character remind you of? Not Arya, for a surety. This is one thousand percent Sansa.

After the finale aired Jenny Han and some other YA authors were dragged on twitter for openly shipping J0nsa, which, I mean (a) it was more “ugh fan fiction” and “ew incest” and “think of the children!!1!” than anything specific to J0nsa (b) of course she ships J0nsa. Of fucking COURSE. J0nsa is not a childhood BFFs ship, because the whole point is that Sansa’s character development leads her to see Jon in a new light. It’s above all about Sansa’s arc and the scales falling from Sansa’s eyes and there isn’t room for someone who has always seen the value in Jon, who has always loved him best. Because that would not be sufficiently Pride & Prejudice-y. Allow me to remind everyone that Pride & Prejudice is (1) the ur-Romance novel and (2) about people changing their minds and revising their initial judgments. Ffs it was originally titled “First Impressions.” This is the dominant narrative wrt romantic love, then—that one must fall in love, that it must be accompanied by major character development and reevaluation of preconceptions. This is the appeal of Enemies-to-Lovers.

Listen, I don’t ship a pairing because I think it’s endgame; I ship it because I think it’s interesting. What I’m trying to do here is formulate a theory as to why so many people find Jon & Sansa’s dynamic interesting, as compared to the small handful of us who find Jon & Arya’s dynamic interesting. I’m not engaging with the people who are anti-incest on principle (if you’re not into incest this is maybe not the fandom for you). I think it has a lot to do with the sort of romantic stories we elevate and validate. Gendrya is a wildly popular ship, and it falls very much in the Childhood BFFs mold, but I think we can all agree that Gendry & Arya are not a finished product—they have a lot of stuff to work on, and what shippers are interested in is the process of them hammering it out. Jon and Arya though? They’re already president of each other’s fan clubs, where’s the tension or drama in that? The obstacles to their relationship are external and plot-driven rather than internal and character-driven. And I say unto you: This is Arya’s creation myth: Before there was anything, there was Jon. Here is the thing I will die mad about: Everybody takes childhood BFFs for this hegemonic trope and wouldn’t it be so eDgY to subvert it by making her fall for a HANDSOME STRANGER instead. Jfc have you seen the biggest young adult franchises of the past decade? They are: Twilight, The Hunger Games, The Mortal Instruments. Spoiler alert none of the heroines end up with their childhood bffs. I know the love triangle is hardly the point of The Hunger Games but facts are facts. It’s been 150 years and the Little Women fandom is still generating twice as much Jo/Laurie fic as Jo/Bhaer fic because Louisa May Alcott did Jo March dirty by not letting her marry the man she clearly belonged with. I just think the idea of there being someone you belong with, always have and always will, is ultimate #goals and this is the hill i will die on.

I look at Sansa and Arya’s starting points, when it comes to Jon, and however their arcs resolve in the end I cannot imagine how you could retcon J0nsa into some kind of lifelong attachment?? Here is Sansa in the wake of Lysa’s death, mulling her options:

there was nowhere for her to go. Winterfell was burned and desolate, Bran and Rickon dead and cold. Robb had been betrayed and murdered at the Twins, along with their lady mother. Tyrion had been put to death for killing Joffrey, and if she ever returned to King’s Landing the queen would have her head as well. The aunt she’d hoped would keep her safe had tried to murder her instead. Her uncle Edmure was a captive of the Freys, while her great-uncle the Blackfish was under siege at Riverrun. I have no place but here, Sansa thought miserably.

She lists Tyrion among her potential refuges, without once mentioning Jon! TYRION. Unreal. Even Brienne weighs the possibility of Sansa going North to Jon, and Brienne has literally never even met Sansa:

though all her siblings had been slain, Brienne knew that Sansa still had an uncle and a bastard half brother on the Wall

In case anyone requires reminding, Arya takes every possible opportunity to suggest “hey we could go to the Wall instead of wherever we’re going!”:

One of these girls has been trying to get back to Jon for going on four books now. The other one thinks about Jon Arryn more times in her POVs than she thinks about Jon Snow (18 Arryns out of 27 total hits for “Jon” in all Sansa chapters). I’m not saying Sansa hasn’t grown and changed, or that her reunion with Jon might not evolve into something interesting; it’s just not a dynamic I personally care about. I’m definitely not saying that authors deserve to be publicly shamed for shipping fictional characters, but I think an author’s shipping preferences are revealing and shed light on their choices as far as which stories they choose to tell. I’m saying I ship Jon/Arya and I accept it’s not the ship dynamic that appeals to most people but here I am.

The Dark Trio Meets (Part 2)

Anibase watched outside of the cage, still completely invisible, sitting on the floor nearby. She loved this, it was just like watching cartoons! She held Nini, who was also invisible under her touch, cleaning off the ink and trying her best to stitch her back together.

The hyenas shake off Unreal’s influence but all turn to look at her. Two of them rush at her aggressively. They aren't made of actual ink like Niy and Gary are. Ouros had learned her lesson.

A few break off to sniff around the room and circle the area Anibase is in while the rest go to Ouros to bite the ink trapping her.

“F̙͕̟̃̇̇u̢͇͈̽̆̉c̬̜̟͛͗̃k̢̜̺̊̄͛!̳͇͗͗̚ͅ ̡̬̘̆͛͘”Unreal cries as she made a shield of ink in front of her, stealing some the ink from Anibase’s empty cage.

“What the fuck are these mongrels made of?!”

Unreal hears the hyenas chomping on her and can feel the unpleasant sensation. She growls and has the ink extend out, covering their mouths with sticky ink.

Anibase finishes with Nini and hovers her above the pendant. “WW91J2xsIGJlIHNhZmUgaW4gaGVyZS4uLg== ((You’ll be safe in here…))” And with that, Nini vanishes inside. Anibase then looks up and see the hyenas and gasps, the softly squeals in delight.

“UFVQUElFUyEhIQ== ((PUPPIES!!!))” And her eyes filled with childish glee as she phased back into the material plane.

The hyenas snarl at the sticky ink and devolve into a dark liquid that looks disturbingly like blood before reforming healthy and whole. They attack the ink holding Ouros with renewed vigor. The ones attacking Unreal circled her while laughing unable to get past the shield.

Ouros was taking deep breaths in the ink trapping her. She glared over at Anibase, “My hyenas are not puppies.”

The hyenas near Anibase growled in agreement and backed away from her wearily.

Panic seized Unreals’s heart but she tried not to show it as the laughter of the hyenas increased. She made the ink shield surround her completely like a dome and huddled down trying to think. She heard something buzz in her jeans and took out Huffle’s phone from her pocket. Ah annoying pop up for the game she played. Unreal studied the device before her hand glitched in front of her again. Hmm… she might be able to use this.

Anibase frowns as the hyenas pad away. She then looks at Ouros again and observes her more closely. “SGF2aW5nIG90aGVycyBkbyB5b3VyIGZpZ2h0aW5nLCBodWguLi4/ ((Having others do your fighting, huh…?))” Anibase asked. She looks at the ink-shield-bubble. “U28gaG93IHdvdWxkIHlvdSBmaXggdGhpcyB0aGVuIEFtYmVyLi4uPw== ((So how would you fix this then Amber…?))”

Ouros snorts, “My ink creations are familiars and should be considered mere extensions of myself.”

With one last snarl the hyenas tore through the ink holding Ouros and she stepped out with a shake. The hyenas padded to Ouros and brushed up against her.

Ouros looked over at the ink shield and pointed up at the ceiling where there were a few sprinklers. “How good are you at starting fires?” Ouros asked.

Unreal stares at the phone then quickly starts typing, knowing exactly where to go. She touched the screen and her frantic glitchy pixels seemed to be sucked into the screen, as if drawn into it.

Then she heard Ouros’s plan and cursed slightly. But an idea struck her. She held the phone close to her chest and waited to see what their next moves would be.

Anibase grins. “T29oLCBJIGhhdmVu4oCZdCBzZXQgVGVGQSBvbiBmaXJlIHlldCwgdGhhdOKAmXMgYSBnb29kIGlkZWHigKYh ((Ooh, I haven’t set TeFA on fire yet, that’s a good idea…!))” Anibase stores the idea for later and rubs her hands quickly together. She then spreads them apart and fire dances between her hands. She then quickly brings her hands to the ground, letting the sparks light up the room around them. She raises her arm over one of the flames and her arm phases out. She laughs as if being tickled. “VGhhdCBnb29kIGVub3VnaCBmb3IgeWEgQSBtIEIgZSBS4oCmPw== ((That good enough for ya A m B e R…?))”

Ouros nodded while ignoring the flames creeping toward her, “This is good enough.” As she said it the sprinklers above Ouros burst into life and began spitting out water.

The hyenas growled and melted back into Ouros’s skin as she stood with her arms crossed waiting for the ink bubble to melt away.

The instant the water touched the ink it almost seemed to screech and sizzle slightly. Sparks like wet electronics started to erupt from the bubble as it started to dissolve. Unreal winced in pain at the sounds and felt the ink of her skin start to spark slightly too. She had to hurry to escape this!

She opens the messenger app Huffle uses to talk to her friends and shoves her hand into the screen. Immediately she’s sucked into the screen leaving it covered in ink and it hits the floor with a dull thud.

A ping goes off on both TeFA’s and Juri’s phones.

Anibase hears Juri’s phone goes off and bursts into immediate laughter. “T2ggbXkgZ29vZG5lc3MgY2FuIHlvdSBwbGF5IHRoYXQgYWdhaW4gcCBMIGUgQSBzIEU/IQ== ((Oh my goodness can you play that again p L e A s E?!))” Anibase continues to laugh, unable to control her childish nature.

Ouros’s eye twitched as the ringtone faded out. “Juri,” Ouros seethed. She reached back to pull out her phone and turn the annoying thing off.

As soon as Ouros unlocked the screen Unreal came bursting out as colorful pixels, sending a hand right to Ouros’s face. The full weight of her body pushed Ouros to the ground as Unreal settled back into her body. Acting fast she shot another wave of ink at Anibase but already the water from the sprinklers was burning her skin. It started sparking and smoking and Unreal held back a scream of pain.

Anibase, caught slightly off guard, quickly dodged, but looked again seeing that her arm got slightly hit. She growled and quickly wiped it off. She looked back, her right eye starting to faintly glow. An idea suddenly struck her and with a lot of her strength, wrapped the two of them up with her noose, and hung them above the ground. She stared up at them with furious eyes.

“V2UgYXJlIGdvbm5hIGdldCBub3doZXJlIHdpdGggdGhpcy4uLg== ((We are gonna get nowhere with this…))” Anibase admitted through strained teeth, trying to keep the two of them together. Holding up something that weighed a lot more than you, let alone two, was a struggle. She then eyed Unreal with a glare. “RXNwZWNpYWxseSB3aXRoIHlvdSBhIEMgdCBJIG4gRyBsaWtlIGEgY2hpbGQsIGFuZCB0aGF04oCZcyBjb21pbmcgZnJvbSBtZS4uLiE= ((Especially with you a C t I n G like a child, and that’s coming from me...!))”

Ouros lay limply in the noose staring deadpan down at Anibase. “Why am I strung up here with Anger Management issues,” She asked Anibase while pointing at Unreal.

There was a pain building up in Ouros’s head signaling Juri trying to wake up. Ouros grit her teeth as a new stab of pain hit her. Juri usually didn’t try to fight Ouros for control so Ouros struggled to force Juri back to sleep.

Unreal growled and struggled against the ropes but couldn’t budge. She was starting to smoke more and spark more and finally let out a pained cry. Her skin was burning and she was close to passing out.

Anibase crossed her arms and evilly smiled. “RiBJIE4gYSBMIGwgWSEgWW91IGxlYXJuZWQgd2hlbiBlbm91Z2ggd2FzIGVub3VnaC4uLiE= ((F I N a L l Y! You learned when enough was enough...!))” She built up a jump and leaped up high, and broke the sprinklers. She then landed back down and started panting. “V2h5IGRvIHlvdXIgaG9zdHMgaGF2ZSB0byBoYXZlIG1hdGVyaWFsIG1hc3MuLi4/IQ== ((Why do your hosts have to have material mass…?!)) She rolled her hands into fists to focus.

“SXQncyBvYnZpb3VzIHRoYXQgd2Ugd29uJ3QgZ2V0IGFueXdoZXJlIGZpZ2h0aW5nIGVhY2ggb3RoZXIgbGlrZSB0aGlzLi4uIFdlIGFsbCBoYXZlIGdvYWxzIHdlIHdhbnQgdG8gYWNjb21wbGlzaC4uLiBBbmQgd2Ugd2lsbCBkbyBhIE4geSBUIGggSSBuIEcgdG8gZ2V0IHRoZW0uLi4= ((It's obvious that we won't get anywhere fighting each other like this... Certainly it doesn't involve me or Inky, right...?))”

Ouros glared at them both. “My only goal is to get a body. That in no way involves either of you.”

Her head was really pounding now and dangling in the air wasn't helping. Ouros glanced over at the hurt Unreal and huffed.

“Put me down,” Ouros demanded, “I have no more reason to fight.”

Unreal whimpered quietly, ink falling off her face in big watery drips. Under the ink you could see red blotched burned skin. Unreal weakly tried to use her ink to cut them down but all her ink was rendered useless from the water. It was gonna take her a long time to rebuild her reserves….

“What makes you think…” Unreal rasped, glaring at Ouros, “You’re the only one that wants a b̬̮͇̊̾̓o͖͕̙͂̉͐d̜͎͈͂͒͝ŷ̢̱̱̽̉?”

She shuddered at the sting of her ink slithering over her burns then muttered through gritted teeth, “Maybe… we could help each other? Since our hosts are close or whatever…”

Anibase smiles, but this time truly happy. “SC1IZWgsIGxvb2tzIGxpa2Ugd2UncmUgYWxsIGZpbmRpbmcgb3VyIHBsYWNlLi4u ((H-Heh, looks like we're all finding our place…)) And with that she drops them both and collapses to the ground, her body unable to keep itself from staying materialized. She pushes herself up so she's sitting in front of them. She holds both of her hands out to be shaken.

“SSBjYW4gaCBFLQ== ((I can h E-))” Anibase starts her bargain, but stops. She sighs. “V2UsIGNhbiBoIEUgbCBQIGVhY2ggb3RoZXIuLi4= ((We, can h E l P each other…))” Anibase repeats, with an added look to the two darksonas to get their reassurance.

Ouros had landed on her feet with a slight stumble and listened to Anibase’s proposal. Without glancing back Ouros turned and strode out of the room to enter her room she used for experiments. She grabbed a tiny cauldron and walked back into the other room.

“The proposal sounds interesting to me but I know that Unreal and I have bad blood so I have a peace offering as humans do,” Ouros said. She set the cauldron on the ground and used one foot to shove it and let it slide over to Unreal.

Unreal’s ink bubbled in it. “I went back after our fight and collected all the ink that dripped off you to experiment on,” Ouros explained with a shrug, “it should be safe for you.”

Unreal stared at the cauldron with a wary glance. “You’re a fucking weirdo…” she mumbles. She peers in before plunging her hands in, letting the ink settle into her skin. She sighs in relief as her ink reforms on places outside of her burns. She leans back and cracks her neck loudly, wincing at the burns still but she looks better.

“This seems like it could backfire easily. Cuz you both are assholes and I’m the worst. But…” she sighs and shrugs, “Not many other dark sides go work with.”

Unreal sticks out her hand and tenderly shakes Anibase’s hand with a scowl. “Let’s see if we avoid killing each other...unless y̭̻̥͆̀̚ö̼̝̞̊̌ȕ̡̲̊͛͜ ̫̞̬̈̽́p̛͚̫̲̃͝í̮̠̱̐͝s̖̘͚̑̌̃ś̢̳̱̏͠ ̢̱̃̄̉͜m̲̲͙͆̏̌e͚̦̖͂͋̐ ̼̻̗͑͛̂ơ̱̝̣̓̎f̨̘̞́̽͆f̱̜̰͌͊̚.̖̲̻̉̇͝”

Anibase shrugs and returns the handshake. “U2FtZS4uLg== ((Same…))” She then returns to Ouros, her hand still slightly outstretched. “V2VsbCBBbWJlci4uLj8gSSBrbm93IHdlIGp1c3QgbWV0LCBidXQgeW91IGhhdmVuJ3QgZ2l2ZW4gbWUgYSBmdWxsIHJlYXNvbiB0byBrIEkgbCBMIHlvdSwgeWV0Li4u ((Well Amber...? I know we just met, but you haven't given me a full reason to k I l L you, yet…))”

“My name is Ouros,” Ouros announced as she shook Anibase's hand. She took a step back after peered around the destroyed room.

With a grimace Ouros spoke, “I would take you to a new room but my host is fighting me right now when she never has before and I don't have much time left.”

“Since when were you one for hospitality, Medusa?” Unreal taunted with a smirk. She winced and held one of her burnt arms with a grimace. “I...I might be close to gone too. Lauren’s still asleep but her body…” She curses and glares at her arms with disdain.

“If we’re gonna work together. We need to keep our hosts together…”

Anibase thinks. “VHJ1ZS4uLg== ((True…))” The dream demon then thinks and crosses her arms. “QnV0IHRoYXQgc2hvdWxkbid0IGJlIG11Y2ggb2YgYSBwcm9ibGVtLi4u ((But that shouldn't be much of a problem…))” Anibase smirks. “TGV0J3MgcmVzdCB1cCwgYW5kIHRoZW4gd2lsbCBnbyB0YWNrbGUgb3VyIGZpcnN0IHByb2JsZW0uLi4= ((Let's rest up, and then will go tackle our first problem...))”

My Day6inNYC Experience!

EDIT: I typed this up in word and pasted it into Tumblr. Tumblr kinda make some things look a little weird so excuse that please.

This is super late coming but as soon as I left NYC I had to cram for a ton of exams and now that most of those are over I can take the time to talk about my experience seeing Day6 perform live and even hi-touching them;;;; This post might be a little bit all over the place, but I cant help but to feel SO MANY FEELINGS when I think about this okay. Its still so surreal I cant believe it actually happened it felt like a really good dream okay. Also, I wish my English were better to express myself here I have so many emotions I wish to express but honestly, I dont know how Id even describe these feelings in any other languages I know SO ILL TRY MY BEST WITH ENGLISH. Also, fair warning, thisll probably be really long so prepare yourself.

Okay, first things first. I arrived like 30 mins early to pick up my P2 wristband and apparently had I been a little earlier I could have seen day6 enter the Town Hall! Somehow, even though I was not the first that arrived at the venue to pick up my wristband, I did end up being first in the P2 line. And lord behold. Someone opened the backstage door. Then and there, I caught a glimpse of Sungjin, playing his guitar singing his part in the You Were Beautiful chorus. EVERYONE AROUND ME STARTED SCREAMING LOL. I was in such shock. Sungjin is so beautiful (in present tense) and has one of the best voices Ive ever heard okay. I dont think I really realized until then I was going to see Day6, like the band that inspires me to work hard every day and makes me so happy. Even though I had bought the ticket and everything that brought me to NYC, it felt surreal and then I knew it was R E A L. Theyre real and I was about to watch them perform live and even meet them afterwards like what the heck? After getting my wristband, I picked up a fanproject banner that would later be used to move day6 to tears:) These boys are so wholesome.

I went back to my hotel for a while after that because it was rainy and windy so walking around didnt sound so nice. Around 5:30 I left to get a bite to eat and then head back to the venue. Ended up getting a burger at Five Guys (and okay totally off topic from seeing Day6, but the Five Guys burger I had in NYC was so much better than any Ive had here in VA? Or maybe excitement makes stuff taste better.) I arrived at the venue at like 6:00 and the line was already pretty long! There were some My Days handing out photocards and I bought a Sungjin badge from one girl. (This experience is gonna make me sound so Sungjin biased but omg my bias is definitely Young K)

Once I was in the Town Hall I decided to buy a lightstick to cheer for the band! Id already ordered some of the other merch from the Subkulture Shop, because I was literally only traveling with one backpack and didnt want to buy more than I could fit in to take back home.

I had no idea on which side my seat would be, I only knew I would be 12 rows away from the stage. So, when I found my seat I was beyond happy to see I was on Young K and Wonpils side of the stage omg. With a really clear view of the both of them also! All the MyDays there were so sweet man, I had a great time talking with some while waiting for the concert to begin. Though I do honestly really wish that @mikulinneamew or @reading-river would have been there with me. Day6s instruments were already set on the stage and oh my goodness I fell in love with Sungjins Gibson Les Paul. Its white body with the black pickguard and golden hardware is SO BEAUTIFUL. Makes me want to go out and buy a Les Paul just like it, but going to this concert I used money I was originally saving for a new Fender P-Bass (That aint happening for a while now lol) but I am so not complaining. Sungjins Martin acoustic is also really beautiful, but I still prefer Taylors. Young Ks bass is also super pretty. Really, I was drooling over these instruments while waiting for the concert to begin.

Its two minutes before the concert was set to begin and everyone is already chanting â€œDAY6! DAY6! DAY6! DAY6!â€. Shortly after the lights went dark and the screen behind the stage started to play a video introducing the members (And can I say I love how so many of their songs were mashed up perfectly in that video like wow Id love the audio of just that)! One by one then the members came on stage. First Dowoon, then Wonpil, followed by Young K, Jae and last but not least, leader Sungjin! While the video was finishing playing I could see Young K getting his bass tuned and ready to perform. I started tearing up here already because they were right in front of me? Unreal, but yet so real.

And then, the first song was: I WAIT! One of my favorite songs already ;; (what am I saying, all of their songs are my favorites) Such a high energy song for the first one. It was perfect to get the crowd hyped and pumped for what was to come! Then there was me crying of happiness and singing along though omg. DAY6 IS SO COOL PERFORMING. Sungjin and Jae rocking out on their guitars, Young K thumping on the Bass, Wonpil playing the Synth and Dowoon rocking the drums! I loved how connected the audience was with the band too like out of all the live performances from bands Ive seen, this one was definitely the one with the most chemistry with the audience and music! All of the â€œI WAIT!â€ chants were so nice to hear with the music aaaa. THE SONG ENDED SO FAST. All songs went by so quick really, but hey that just means youre having a great time.

The second song was: HUNT! I was NOT prepared for this song so early on in the show already. If I had to summarize this performance in two words: Younghyuns rap (I love it so much). I really love the guitar riffs in this song so I payed a lot of attention to Jae and Sungjin at first but man, as soon as it was rapping time my eyes were focused on Young K. His rapping timbre is soooOOO darn good. And hes such a good performer too when he does it. HE FEELS EVERY WORD HE SAYS. Hunt is such a good song. I loved it. So much.

After the first two songs, lights went back on for a moment and Jae hyped up the audience! Young K shook his head the first time everyone made noise at Jaes request, but the second time Jae asked us to make some noise BOY THAT WAS GOOD VOLUME MYDAYS HAVE GREAT LUNGS.

That was followed by: IM SERIOUS! This song is so fluffy and catchy Im pretty sure everyone was singing along in the â€œI cant stop loving youâ€ part. I mean, how could anyone stop loving day6 theyre so wholesome and talented and KIND AND SWEET. Wow. Its SO FUN to watch Sungjin play his acoustic guitar he was smiling the whole time. Everyone was smiling during that performance EVEN DOWOON HE WAS SO CUTE. Its such a sweet song how can you not smile playing it or listening to it. During the acapella part Young K was shooting finger hearts and did an AMAZING adlib. I was m e l t i n g. Turning me into a puddle.

The next song was: MAN IN A MOVIE! I REALLY LOVE THIS SONG A LOT. Another really soft and fluffy song, but soOOO musically interesting. Day6 is one of the few groups that not only produces earcandy, but earcandy that is also thinking candy for people who enjoy music theory (a n d I d o) This is the only day6 song Ive actually written out a fingerstyle ukulele arrangement for (totally weird instrument choice, but Im working on rewriting it for guitar LOL). Im EXTREMELY fond of everyones vocals on this song. Especially Sungjins and Young Ks :)

After this song it was game and Q&A time! I cant remember if the preference game or Q&A was first so Im just going to talk about the preference game first.

Firstly though, all the members introduced themselves. They all looked so happy that it made me even happier LOL. For the preference game, all of the audience had to stand up and participate in a game with day6! It was so fun! First up the audience had to guess which one Jae like more, by either raising their left or right arm: The statue of liberty or Brooklyn bridge. The right answer was Brooklyn bridge and the majority of the audience (including me) had guessed it right! The MyDays who guessed wrong, had to take their seat again. Second was Bob (Sungjin). I guessed his wrong already! >3< The question was if he preferred playing Overwatch or Fifa. The correct answer was Fifa. Sadly, most people had guessed this one wrong. Next was Dowoon. We had to guess if he prefers skirts or jeans on girls LOL. His answer was jeans but it got too loud that I couldnt quite hear his reasoning. Then was Young K. Does he prefer sneakers or high heels? His answer was sneakers, because high heels are very uncomfortable (he said hes even tried them on before what a cutie). Wonpil had the most far fetched question in my opinion it was kinda funny! The audience had to guess if he likes Ariel or Snow White more. His answer was Snow White because he feels more sorry for her. Lastly was a question that would decide the faith of a lot of Jae stans hair LOL. Does he like long hair or short hair better on girls? His answer was short hair, because it makes them seem more confident. After all of those guesses only four lucky MyDays out of about 1500 were left standing! They got invited onto the stage and got a bag full of (signed!) tour merch gifted to them by Day6! It was so sweet and kind that the winners even received such a gift from Day6 themselves!

MOVING ON TO THE Q&A! Before they picked their questions to answer, Sungjin said â€œThis! Is! Paradise!â€ and Dowoon sang the â€œOh you are My Daaayâ€ part of their song MY DAY to the NYC MyDays. Wonpil went first to pick his question. While each member would choose their question, the audience would sing the jeopardy theme song. It was hilarious. He chose the question: â€œWhere did your interest in music come from?â€ Right when he was about to answer the question someone in the audience screamed â€œI LOVE YOU YOUNG Kâ€ but Young K shut her down so fast saying â€œIts Wonpil time!â€ Wonpil was flustered for a sec but then resumed to answer his question and said that he listened to a lot of hip hop when he was young and that got him interested. Next up was Young K! He chose the question: â€œWhat was the funniest moment in your life?â€. He began to say that since Chuseok hes been eating more. And his most funny moment was before he came onto the stage. Apparently his pants didnt fit him anymore and he had to expand them a bit! The way he told this story was utterly hilarious and cute I can highly recommend finding a fancam of this moment omg. After him was Dowoon. His question was: â€œIf you could have a superpower what would it be?â€ He said he wishes he could talk to animals. When he was in college he had a pet cat which he neglected and now he feels bad for that. He said if he could only communicate with one kind of animal though it would be bear LOL. Sungjin started imitating a bear after that and it was so hilarious omg he puffed himself up and was clawing at him. Next was Sungjin! He was lowkey dancing along to the jeopardy theme omg. His question was: â€œWhat is the hardest thing you have ever done?â€. He said working towards Day6s debut was the hardest time in his life ;; He shouted out collapsedone who helped them a lot towards their debut and he was actually at the concert right there ;; Jae was the last one to get a question. He chose: â€œWhat inspired you to pursue music?â€. He said he was getting into a bunch of Youtube musicians and thought he should try it out too. He met Wong Fu Productions Phil who also further inspired him to pursue music. And so Yellowpostitman was born. That concluded the Q&A! Day6 left the stage for a quick moment while the NYC Vlog-like video they made for the tour started playing. This time it was Wonpils cut! It showed the boys having fun at times square (someone in the audience screamed I SEE MYSELF and everyone laughed it was so funny) and Wonpil loosing his phone while dancing on the street LOL. I really love this vlog concept they had to play during intermission its so sweet of them.

Once the vlog was over they came back on stage and started to perform You Were Beautiful. THIS SONG IS SO BEAUTIFUL. Its one of the first songs of theirs I heard that got me into them ;; I was tearing up during this whole performance its such a heartfelt song and you could truly feel the emotions of the song being conveyed in their performance. They all sing it so softly yet powerfully. I really love Young Ks vocal parts in this song and his voice was so stable too (everyones was really) aaa ;;

The next song they performed was their debut song CONGRATULATIONS! Everyone in the audience had received a red sticker to cover their phone flashlight with during this song to create a red ocean. I wasnt in a good seat so see if it was a success or not but the lighting definitely seemed more red :) Everyone was singing along to EVERY BIT of this song it was fantastic. I love this song so much aaa. Young Ks rap makes me feel so many FEELINGS. This song was over way too quick I wish itd last forever.

After Congratulations Jae was saying that the last two songs are coming now and everyone was getting a LIL SAD that the night was coming to an end soon. (Jae didnt count the encore though ;D) Jae also took a moment to tell everyone that they should follow their dreams and not let anyone tell them that they cant make it. Even when it seems impossible to make it to your dreams he believes that we can make the jump and achieve them ;; Hearing those words from him made me a sobbing mess. For a few reasons I think. Even just seeing them perform live was a dream come true. Being in NYC (if even just for two days) was a dream come true. Its a city Id been dreaming of seeing someday since I was a little kid. Probably because music as a career has almost always been my dream. And NYC is one of the worlds music capitals. I used to want to become a concert pianist. Then I wanted to become a music teacher. Right now Im leaning more towards songwriting, production and playing guitar LOL. But as someone whos in the position where I need to decide what I want to do with my future relatively soon, Jaes words helped me so much.

Their next song was LETTING GO! And oh my goodness. I was not prepared for those buttery sweet harmonies in the beginning. I was thinking so much about what Jae had said before during this performance so Im a little blank on what special happened during this performance but I totally remember it being mesmerizing;;

Their last song before encore was I SMILE! The fanchants on this one were so strong! Everyone held their banner up which read â€œMy Day6 which I thought I only met in my dreams is right in front of meâ€. I could see Young K tear up when he read it. It was so sweet :) I do wish that Wonpils synth had been a tiny bit louder because he has that cool solo part in it, but I could hardly hear it. But the whole performance was so overwhelmingly beautiful that I was crying.

After performing I SMILE they left the stage and everyone started chanting â€œDAY6! DAY6!â€ again. Shortly after they came back on stage and THEY PERFORMED DANCE DANCE. This song is so upbeat and happy and makes you forget all the stress so much I love it to bits. I absolutely love Jaes guitar part in this song too so I tried to focus on him until Brians rap distracted me AGAIN (rapper K is my weakness okay). The entire performance was so high energy it was perfect buildup to the next song they performed which was also their last performance for the night. FREEí•˜ê²Œ! This is my go-to song for escaping from the stress of life and simply basking in how powerful music truly is. So, hearing it live, as the encore really touched me (and I cried more). I felt so many emotions go through me during this performance. It felt like a reminder of why I love music so much, which sometimes is well needed. Its so energetic and uplifting. My highlight of this performance: â€¦Young Ks rap (wow surprise surprise). Also Sungjins high note! And Jae jumping into the crowd and hyping us up even more! (If Jae tells you to jump, you have to jump.) This performance was a perfect end for the concert. I really didnt want it to end though.

After this performance Day6 bowed and thanked the audience. I dont know where to begin describing how I felt after that. I still had the high touch left but the main event was over. I felt (still feel and always will) so extremely blessed to have been able to experience that. Theyre such a wholesome, hardworking and admirable band. I felt such extreme happiness.

The night was nearly over, but the hi-touch was still left for those who had purchased a P2 ticket! Id never done a hi-touch before, so I didnt know what to expect. I only knew itd go by super quick. What I did NOT expect however, is to walk around a corner and BAM there standing is Young K, Mr. Brian Kang, THE KANG YOUNGHYUN, BASSIST RAPPER GODLY VOCALS FULL TIME COLLEGE STUDENT BUT ALSO FULL TIME BANDMEMBER HE WORKS SO HARD OK. It is a lot to take in when you see your ultimate bias being the first in line for the hi-touch. My first thought was how pretty his NOSE is. Like dang, boys got the finest nose Ive ever seen. My second thought was how intimidating he seemed though omg. But as soon as it was my turn for a brief second with him it seemed like he was glowing and flowers were blooming around him? Hes got the sweetest smile and eyes. Instead of high fiving him I held onto his hand for a second and all I could say was â€œI love you so muchâ€ I WAS IN SUCH AWE. He gave my hand a bit of a squeeze and said he loves me back. SUCH A NICE MAN IM CRYING.Â Then it was already time to move on though and next was Dowoon! My mind was completely blank from Young K being first (I was hoping hed be last for this reason LOL) I also grabbed onto Dowoons hand for a moment and I mustve not said anything at first, because he was like â€œThank you!â€ first (his Korean accent is adorable) so I said thank you back to him and he then gave a teeny bow like how polite omg. Thats all I had with Dowoon though (Wish I could have said more I wanted to tell him how cool he is!) But next was Jae. First impression: Hes so TALL. Second impression: Hes so NICE. I think Jae made it a thing to keep eye contact with his fans for as much as he could. I told him â€œThank you so much Jaeâ€ because man especially his speech about following dreams hit me hard as I had mentioned before. Hes honestly the member I was most thankful for that night (Im thankful for them all though please dont misunderstand!) I would have hugged him if I could. His face is so pretty up close too, how can someone manage to look handsome but like a personification of Chicken Little at the same time? Jae can. Next was Wonpil! And I must say I was taken a back a little like â€œWho is this man?â€ HE LOOKS SO DIFFERENT IN REAL LIFE. In a good way of course! I held onto his hand for a moment and said â€œThanks Wonpilâ€ he nodded and had such a smug look on his face like omg. SUNGJIN WAS NEXT AND BOY THIS WAS MY FAVORITE ENCOUNTER. He was already like pulling his arm back to give a really hard high five so I was BRACING myself, because it looked like it might be painful omg. Hes the only member I actually high fived whoops. BUT his high five was so happy and so energetic! Yet it was aggressively soft? It was definitely a hard high five but it didnt hurt at all LOL. He was like â€œAh yeah!â€ after that and I thanked him for the great show. Then the hi-touch was over for me. Even though I wish I could have had a little more time with them, I was so thankful to have had the experience in the first place.

IN CONCLUSION: This was the best night of my life so far. This definitely is not going to be the last time I see them live. If they come back to NA while Im still here you can count on me doing my best to get that P1 or P2 ticket. They better come to Europe someday too! For their next tour if it works out I might even try to go to more than one of their concerts. I was trying to go to the Toronto concert for this tour too, but my exam schedule wouldnt allow that. But I am so blessed that NYC happened. I will also definitely plan any trip to Asia around their concert schedule!

Tl;dr: I love day6 so much. See them live someday plz. Tell Brian I love him plz.

Who is behind Young Blood Initiative? The A-Z series’ continues with the team member edition, get to know the team working backstage that make things happen. Jimena Mendizàbal de Moral, our Assistant Director & art researcher, gives us an insight on what inspires her.

A for… Art! What makes me feel alive and definitely part of what it means to be human. B for… Becoming. A key concept in Continental Philosophy that points to the changing nature of things, it contrasts being as a fixed identity with being as movement and evolution. It points to continuous evolution and it captures the zesty nature of life itself.

C for… Creativity & Collaboration. My favourite research subjects which I pursue through my personal practice and in my work with YBI. I consider them the most powerful tools available to humans to endure and thrive in the world, and to change the status quo. D for… Deleuze. My favourite philosopher! He challenged hierarchies and the traditions of XX Century thought, turning European philosophy upside down. His writings are challenging but illuminating. E for… Ecology. An important subject not only because of climate change but also as a tool to think about society and economy in a different way and have an innovative vision for the future that includes a more holistic view of humans as part of a larger ecosystem. F for… Family. Lots and lots of aunts, uncles and cousins, some are not even blood relatives but family is the centre of Latin-American life and incredible important when you are living abroad. G for… Guattari. Gilles Deleuze’s long time collaborator and committed communist. Felix Guattari’s writings on revolution and the possibility of changing the world through small, everyday actions changed my way of looking at personal responsibility. H for… Hopscotch. The seminal novel by Argentine writer Julio Cortazar. It follows the love story between La Maga and Horacio through a fantastic world of linguistic and conceptual experimentation. The chapters jump from Paris to Buenos Aires, from reality to imagination, attraction and repulsion, and of course the 56 regular chapters and the 99 expendable ones can be read in a straight fashion or in ‘hopscotch’ jumping through numbers. I for… Ingres, Jean-Auguste-Dominique. A guardian of classicism and an innovator at the same time. His flawless technique seamlessly blends tradition and experimentation. I am still fascinated by his distortions of shape and space, specially by ‘La Grande Odalisque’ with her ‘extra’ vertebra that elongates her back in an unreal but striking way.

J for… Janis Joplin. The Cosmic Witch and the first woman that mesmerised me with her talents and attitude. Her voice plays my soul like a violin, it shreds my heart to pieces and picks me up in a delirious high. She will always be an icon of female strength and freedom. K for… Kafka Tamura. The lead character of Haruki Murakami’s novel ‘Kafka on the Shore’. Sometimes the right book comes at the right time and magic happens. I read this one non-stop, it shook me to the core and my way to see life changed as I turned the pages. L for… LeWitt, Sol. I fell in love with Minimalism as soon as I started studying contemporary art. LeWitt questioned established ideas of authorship, originality, art-making and the relation between idea and artwork, privileging intuition over everything else. He is also regarded by some as one of the precursors of Conceptual art.

M for… Marcus Aurelius’ Meditations. Stoicism is one of the most useful philosophies for life, this book has helped me uncountable times. “Take away your opinion, and there is taken away the complaint, […] Take away the complaint, […] and the hurt is gone (IV. 7)” N for… Neuroscience. I have always being fascinated about the workings of the brain. The neurologic systems that allow us to perceive, think, love, decide, plan, etc. are one of the wonders of the universe. O for… Oliver Sacks. A curios neuroscientist in love with music is a terrific combination. His books explore the borderlands of brain function with entrapping narrative and clear but poetic language. P for… Petit Prince. I read The Little Prince for the first time when I was 7 years old and I haven’t stoped reading it since. Q for… Queen. I dare you not to sing along to Bohemian Rhapsody! They were my first music crush and are still my go-to band when I am sad, happy, anxious, excited, or for any mood really.

R for… Resistance. One of my research subjects and a constant in all human relations. The capacity to resist adversity and the grit to find ways forward despite the difficulties of the world might not be what makes us human but it is certainly what gives us dignity and makes us complete. S for… Sci-fi. I just love science fiction: Ursula K. LeGuin, Alien movies, Arthur C. Clarke, Donnie Darko, Phillip K. Dick, Snowpiercer, Isaac Asimov, Sunshine, Neal Stephenson… I love them all! T for… Tortillas, tacos, tortas, tamales, tlacoyos, tlayudas… As a Mexican, I consider all corn base foods as tasty gifts from heaven. We usually group these under the label ‘Vitamin T’… not exactly nutritious but certainly delicious. U for… Universe. I never get tired of learning about the cosmos, every single thing about the physical universe fills me with wonder and it makes me feel happy to be alive. V for… Vonnegut, Kurt. And so it goes… His book ‘Slaughterhouse V’ blew me away, not only because of its use of science fiction to develop an irreverent anti-war stance but also because of its unique story structure. W for… Wes Anderson. Nobody mixes comedy and drama as well as he does. His visual and narrative style is so unique that you can recognise his films from a mile away. I could watch his movies all day long… and I have.

X for… Xokoyotl or ‘little sibling’ in Nahuatl, the language of the ancient Aztecs and of more than 1 million people in Mexico. I love the sound of the word, it is sweet and it rolls of the tongue. And I love my little sister with all my heart, she is an artist and my best and oldest friend. Y for… Y.T. One of the characters of one of my favourite books of all time: Snow Crash. She is brave, strong, smart, cynical, one hell of a skater and on her way to save the world while being just a teenager. Z for… Zeno of Elea. I still remember my philosophy class about this thinker and hero (he tried to overthrow a tyrant — or several depending on who you ask — and ultimately paid with his life). He was one of the first occidental philosophers and his paradoxes are still as baffling, entertaining and absurd as they were 2500 years ago.
