Let me tell you how happy my autistic ass is to have a toothpaste that tastes like Orange Creamsicle & how much easier it is to get myself to brush my teeth now. I look forward to it rather than it being a Chore. My teeth feel fucking great.

We got both the Lemon and Lavender & Orange and Cream. There's also Coco Ginger, Watermelon Mint, White Cranberry, and a regular Mint. It's flouride-free, gluten-free, vegan, and supposedly remineralizing.

Note: it does have xylitol in it. Our dogs are never in our bathroom unsupervised and rarely ever in our bathroom at all, period, but if your situation is different, please be aware, as xylitol is extremely toxic to dogs.

“Uh, um, ma’am?” The same man as before stands off to the side, the boxes stacked by his feet as he looks at you with cheeks stained bright red, “Your, uh, your dress-”

You realize what he’s talking about as Mari finally looks down at your body, his eyes widening. Your cream-colored dress is obviously soaked through, revealing the lace lingerie beneath. Only the lace lingerie, to be specific, because that’s all you put on in way of undergarments this morning.

Before you can do anything outside of fumbling for words, Marius has ripped the coat from his own shoulders and tossed it over you. He’s taller and broader, and the thick material is warming your wind-chilled, damp form quickly. You tug it tight around your front, hiding as much of yourself as possible while trying to scurry from the deckhand’s eyes. Mari notices, turning toward the man with a deadly glare.

“Get the fuck away from us.” He snaps, teeth bared in a deadly smile, “Or they’ll be fishing you from the water next.”

“Mr. De Klerk?” The man’s face whitens rapidly as he takes several quick steps back, “I swear, I didn’t mean to-”

“I couldn’t give any less of a fuck what you meant to do.” Mari says, his voice dark, “I did tell you to leave, however, and I would suggest you listen.”

The deckhand clearly doesn’t need another suggestion, as all present know it would likely involve a bullet. He scatters in seconds, abandoning the cargo he’d been carrying in favor of his life, and Mari turns to pull you close as if hiding you from the world.

“That was mean,” You chide.

“I’m mean,” He counters, “And I’m also not worried about that right now.”

You avoid his gaze, but he only shifts to maintain eye contact.

“I’m sorry,” You say, sheepish, “I know it was a waste of money.”

“I’m going to give you a pile of gold the size of your head,” He says, voice even and clear, “And you’re going to buy whatever lacy, silky items you like. Then, should I be so privileged, you’ll show me yourself in them.”

Freezing, you look at him, “But I-”

“If a single word of self-deprecation comes out of your mouth, I’ll have to find something to occupy it. You know I can’t stand lies.” He draws closer, his lips barely brushing your own, “Luckily, I know just the thing.”

You’re not sure who tilts forward first, but his lips are warm against yours. His hands move down your waist, brushing against his own coat as if he’s imagining the lace that lies beneath. He draws you closer until your bodies are flush from chest to thigh, and you feel his hardness against your hip.

You shudder slightly as you pull away. He watches you, eyes hungry, and you damn near have to press your knees together against the surge of heat that washes over you.

“We’re in public,” He mutters, pained.

You shift against him, making him close his eyes and bite off a moan.

“Then let’s not be in public anymore.” You say, kissing his neck, “My place is closer…um, if you can just ditch Kumar’s messenger like that, of course.”

“Fuck Kumar,” He hisses.

He says nothing else, only taking you by the hand and tugging you forward.

That’s how you both end up in your small apartment above the still-open bookstore. The owner waves at the both of you, blissfully unaware of your plans. You sheepishly wave back before dashing past the customers and heading up the stairs.

You’re stripped of his coat and your dress upon entrance, leaving only the damp lace to adorn your skin. He pushes you up against the wall, the kiss greedy and demanding; in the end, you can’t help the moan he rips out of you.

“Again,” He whispers, “Make that noise again. Let everyone know how good I make you feel.”

His hands drift south and you throw your head back obediently. You think of the customers downstairs, of the owner running the shop for the day, and the embarrassment that pools in your gut only worsens your arousal.

The fingers withdraw after a moment, leaving you to whine at the loss. Then he drops to his knees, hikes up your lacey little slip around your waist, and replaces the digits with that damned quick tongue of his.

🧼Hygiene Headcanons for Taejon🧼

Author's Note: Given what we’ve seen so far of his habits, it's safe to say that Taejin don't play bout his hygiene and his looks. And I’m fucking here for it bc I love him and I wanna sit on his face🤤.  ANYWAYS, I said in my previous post that I had a lot to say about Taejin’s personal hygiene so here it is. Here’s the stuffs. I’m already obsessed with this man ughhhh. 

I wouldn’t say that he’s self-conscious about his body odor per se, I would call it a kind of hyper-awareness of it. 

And because he’s aware of how he smells throughout the day, Taejin goes the extra mile to smell good. 

Like he has a signature cologne and everything. I would give him the scent of Baccarat Rouge 540. It's a bold and woodsy kind of scent with hints of citrusy sweetness. (Imma eat him rahhh) 

He always carries a little bottle in his suit pocket (when he chooses to wear a suit that is) and goes for quick scent touch-ups throughout the day. Like a few sprits on his wrists and neck.

Because his signature scent is so strong, Taejin doesn't go all out with his body wash surprisingly. He likes to keep it simple with light scents that won’t clash with his cologne.

Oh, and you best believe that he uses the body cream of the same scent, though he uses it sparingly because he doesn’t want the scent to be too powerful.

 When he’s not using his special body cream, he’ll instead use imported cocoa butter.

Since he’s a smoker, I think he might get into teeth whitening. To save on time tho, he’d get one of those expensive home kits and just sits around his place with the light thingy in his mouth.

He doesn’t really seem like the type to care too much about freshly starched laundry, but maybe he’s just used to his suits being ironed and pressed because Yisu seems to take care of that. (Heh boyfriends)

Taejin, like most people tbh, hates having hangnails or getting accidentally scratched. So to combat this on his end, he keeps his nails blunt and clean (or as clean as you can have them when you’re a fighter I guess)

Chapter Sixteen (Part 2)

When Fleet Foxes finish their gig Jen announces that she’s going to get ice cream, and I jump at the chance to go with her. I want a bottle of water, the midday heat has become so much that I feel parched, and even though the cocoon Jude made for me with his body was comforting, he’s like a radiator. I dip out from under him and link arms with Jen. “Are you coming?” I ask. 

“Nah, there’s another band next that I wanted to hear and I don’t want to lose my spot.”

“Okay, we’ll see you later. Will I text you where we are?”

“Yeah sure!”

I notice a wry little smile on Jen’s lips as we dip out of the thinning crowd and past the portaloos. I nudge her inquiringly. “What?”

“Oh, nothing.”

“It’s not nothing! You’re smirking, what are you smirking about?”

She stops to read a hand painted signpost with arrows towards the food stands, and we start walking in that direction. “Just vibes.” She says cryptically. “I’m just feeling vibes.”

I laugh, “What do you mean ‘vibes’?” 

“I think I sensed something at the gig just there, something between you and my bestie?”

I dismiss it automatically, “Oh, no, there’s nothing like that.”

“Hm. So him standing with his hands on that barrier on either side of you was nothing?”

“Definitely nothing.”

“And what about the time that you fell asleep together in his room, and he came out to us looking very sheepish.”

“We were tired.”

“And him doing your laundry?”

“Oh. I never collected that. I need to remember to ask him when I can have it back.”

She snickers as we join the queue for the ice cream stand. “You’re not going to be able to hide this from me. I’m a very astute kind of person.”

“I believe you, but there’s nothing to hide.”

“Hm. Okay.”

I feel my cheeks burning. “There’s nothing sleazy going on, if that’s what you’re thinking. Him doing my laundry, it doesn’t mean…”

“And if there was the chance for something sleazy to be happening, would you be opposed to it?”

“What is this, an interrogation?” I say, feeling shy all of a sudden. “I don’t know! It’s not like that, so I don’t even think about… that.”

“Okay, well, I don’t know you incredibly well yet, but I do know him. I’ve actually known him since he was twelve, and I know that look he gets in his eye when-”

“There’s no look in his eye,” I interrupt desperately. “I would have seen a look in his eye.”

“Why are you obsessed with him not fancying you?” We reach the top of the queue and she orders a 99 and a bottle of water. She tosses it to me and I gulp down a few mouthfuls, hoping that maybe the break in conversation will mean she’ll drop it, but she doesn’t. “Is he not your type or something?” She seems a little offended on his behalf, which is funny to me. I am sure he wouldn’t be bothered if he heard he wasn’t my type. Which, actually, he is, but that’s not the point. 

“He’s good looking.” I admit, and we sit down on a pair of wicker peacock chairs that are set up under a small copse of trees. Fairy lights and jars with candles in them dangle from the branches, and I’m sure it will be a magical place once the sun goes down. I examine my nails and tut at a small fleck of lilac nail varnish that’s chipped off. 

“He’s very good looking.” She agrees. “In a kind of not-normal way.”

“Yes.” I gasp. “That’s what I think, it’s like, Irish boys don’t look like that. He looks like the boys on TV.”

“It’s because his teeth are so perfect.” she says covertly, “I have a theory that he has them periodically whitened. His dad is a dental surgeon, and I just know he does a job on them, but he won’t admit it. He’s a little weasel.” It’s fun talking to her like this, it’s like we’re sharing dirty, slanderous secrets. 

“What else do you know about him?” I giggle, and she taps her nose. “Everything.”

“Everything?”

“Everything. That’s why I know there’s something going on with you two, because I know what he’s like when he doesn’t like someone.”

“How’s that?”

“A sour bastard.” She takes the flake from the top of her melting cone and scoops up a glob of ice cream with it, taking a thoughtful bite. “You know, when he broke up with Michelle in June it was really touch-and-go. He was thinking a lot about getting back with her in the first few weeks after we went down to the holiday home.”

“Really? But he seemed fairly certain that it was the right choice when I talked to him about it.”

She shrugs. “I don’t know, like, they were really serious, he was really mad about her, so obviously it was devastating. He said he could never imagine being with anybody else after that, it was like, really intense actually.”

“So what changed?”

Her eyes flick to mine, and some hardly detectable emotion flashes in them. “No idea.” She says. “He just got over it.” She stretches out her legs and sighs, watching throngs of people shuffle through the copse and towards a smaller stage nearby where some other band is setting up. “This is all to say that it’s not often you’d find him single, and actually, it’s not often you’d find him in a state where he’s grand with being single. As in, when he’s not moping after somebody, so look. If you sense a vibe, just go for it. What do you have to lose?”

“He’s moving to Berlin.”

“Hm.” She shrugs. “Maybe.”

I sit up straight. “What do you mean ‘maybe’?

“The college offers aren’t coming until the end of this month. He applied to three art and design colleges in Ireland as well. If he gets into one of those, who knows maybe he’ll stay here.”

I shake my head. “He won’t.” 

“Well lately he’s been saying that he might.”

I keep shaking my head, because it’s too good to be true, but if he doesn’t go to Berlin, then maybe I’ll just work hard in school for a year, get the points I need and then I’ll apply to the same college and we’ll be able to see each other all the time. The thought of passing him in the halls and eating lunch with him outside a trendy Dublin cafe is so sweet that it almost makes me start crying, but I have to restrain myself. “He won’t do that.”

“Well maybe something will change his mind.” Jen finishes the butt of her ice cream and chucks the napkin into a bin. “Stranger things have happened.” She gets up and offers her hand to me. “Come on, I think there’s a tent somewhere where people are just mad dancing for twenty four hours straight, we should go in for a bop.”

sick sick sick of the way medical professionals use their authority to push beauty standards

when I was a young teen, around 14 years old, my doctor asked at my regular checkup if I wanted him to prescribe something for my acne. I told him no, it’s just a few pimples scattered around, it’s pretty mild and they don’t hurt, they don’t bother me. he tried to push the issue and it took me saying no multiple times for him to let it go.

a few years later, a different doctor recommended me, unprompted, a lightening cream for stretch marks on my hips. I told her I don’t think there’s anything wrong with my stretch marks and I don’t want any product to “treat” them. she plowed on through, telling me more about the product and where I could get it. this wasn’t even a prescription or anything that could have any financial kickback to her in any way even if there were shady under-the-table deals going on, just an over-the-counter cream I’d have to go find and buy myself. I told her no, no, I don’t want it five times before she stopped pushing it.

recently, at a dentist appointment, the assistant asked me if I’d ever noticed my teeth aren’t perfectly white. I said yeah I’ve noticed, is there a problem with them? are they healthy? he said oh no, there’s no problem, they’re perfectly healthy, they look like that naturally. I said ok then, as long as they’re healthy I don’t care. he then spent the next 5 minutes telling me all about some whitening product I could go get at any drugstore to make them whiter, despite my repeated protestations that I don’t want it.
