Round 1D: The Republic of Sarah vs Walker Independence

The Republic of Sarah: The bucolic tranquility of Greylock, N.H., is upended when a massive vein of coltan, an incredibly valuable mineral used in tech, is discovered under the town. Lydon Industries swoops in with plans to extract the mineral and wipe Greylock off the map. With her friends and family in danger of losing their homes, rebellious high school teacher Sarah Cooper vows to stop Lydon's bulldozers. Sarah enlists her friends in the fight, but there seems to be no way to stop the town's impending demise -- until Sarah proposes an oddly intriguing solution: Greylock could declare independence. If Sarah and her friends can convince the town to vote for independence, Greylock would gain international sovereignty and could protect its land for good. After a federal judge agrees that Greylock isn't -- and never was -- part of the United States, the town becomes a new nation. Now, Sarah and her allies must confront an even more daunting task and build a country from scratch.

Walker Independence: Set in the late 1800s, an origin story of the series "Walker," "Walker Independence" follows Abby Walker, an affluent and tough-minded Bostonian whose husband is murdered before her eyes while on their journey out West. Abby arrives in the town of Independence, Texas, where she encounters diverse and eclectic residents running from their pasts, chasing their dreams, and keeping their own secrets. Abby runs into Hoyt Rawlins, a slippery rogue, thief, and con artist with a dented heart of gold who quickly eyes Abby as a mark, until she turns the tables on him. In seeking justice for her husband, Abby and Hoyt soon find themselves precariously aligned, both seeking to uncover the truth about the identity of Abby's husband's killer, and vow to save Independence -- a frontier boomtown where nothing is what it seems.

hello, you can call me billy, i am a massive nerd and i love to write and i love to read!

my first goal is to slowly get myself back into writing. i decided to do that by writing weird and horny stuff so i can get used to writing something anything at this point and hopefully evolve myself in the future, don't think too much about it...my second goal is to write headcanons for those characters that nobody else writes about, you see a book/movie/show/video game etc character, and you think, hey that character has zero fans, wish i had somebody else to share my thirst about this character with, i want that person to be me, i want us to go through it together, as one...

i will write about video games, books, shows, movies, ttrpgs, my own and my friends' original characters and maybe i will also do oc match ups! who knows, i surely don't.

eligible nominees for this category. 1) it’s pretty shameful that there are no women of color on this list 2) unfortunately i feel like amy ryan does not have a chance against american horror story juggernauts jessica lange and sarah paulson. also appropriate is such an ensemble piece that i would’ve put sarah in featured but i get why she’s submitted here

#from what i’ve seen my heart would give it to amy but #i think it’s Sarah’s Turn #jessica lange was also amazing though #we’ll see re: rachel #prayer for the french republic and the cottage are not at all on my radar so can’t vouch there #i also just don’t think the material on grey house was strong enough for tatiana or laurie to win

#immune by Groenland from killjoys lives in my head is all I’m saying #Ik it technically wouldn’t count in my head but. the opening to republic of Doyle does just baffle me bc idk why but I like the actual song #infinitely better than the version they use for the show #but. for real that show and Mrs. McGrath Bruce Springsteen #make believe you love me. from endeavour only bc that song was so UNECESSARY. like. it didn’t need to be there. it was so extra #seen it all for Alex rider was actually just a thing for me. i mean the whole canon of that was whack but also. like. the heart stopping #moment I had. adding it to my playlist without listening to it. and then the chorus happening while I WAS IN PUBLIC and it finally clicking #what song it was. like. no joke. I had to stop walking. reset my whole brain that was def checked out. this is what happens when sarah is #in the throws of a few week obsession #sympathy for the devil has also fucking RUINED ME from criminal minds #y’all I could go on about this for hours

Bobbie straight-up issues a Trial of Grievance against Martens, citing "the Donnager Code" (after the mysterious and well-equipped Colonel Arthur Donnager, who showed up during the Independence War with a full regiment of very advanced 'Mechs in the livery of the 331st)

please like me. i legitimately watch this like once a year and sob through the last 2 episodes every time.

black sails. show of all time. a story is true a story is untrue. wough 😵‍💫 have never been able to fully rewatch this show

the oa. watched this in april 2020 and SOBBED for 2 straight hours after finishing the second season because it was cancelled. its SO good and SO sexy (the house in s2 that eats people. my god....) and SO beautiful. forever mad it got cancelled because the cliffhanger makes me so crazy (i simply love when actors play themselves in things). jason isaacs

murdoch mysteries. well this show is not good (and is somehow still running) but i was Obsessed with it in middle/high school which has to count for something

dispatches from elsewhere. this show made me so crazy i genuinely believed the characters were going to walk out of my television screen and into real life. v funny and v heartfelt and also richard e grant is there to monologue at the camera

taskmaster. its fun! i love watching comedians fail to do tasks. shoutout to the guy on youtube who's uploading the new seasons :) also the new zealand and australian versions are v good

halt and catch fire. i watched this while i was quarantining in a hotel for 2 weeks and joe macmillan is the character of all time. keot yelling HE'S A PERSON at my laptop screen because he's real to me

EYE was #there when the doctor husband got murdered and everyone thought it was murdoch. EYE remember murdoch was discriminated against for being #roman catholic and not protestant. EYE was there for the republic of doyle/murdoch mysteries crossover event. and when arthur conan doyle #was there and wrote a sherlock holmes story about murdoch. truly stupid show #isabel.txt #honourable mentions to alias grace (the best canadian tv show ever made. sarah gadon was so incredible in it and everyone should watch it)#and the exorcist which took over my life for 6 months in 2017-2018 even though it scares me so so bad. rip ben daniels i've watched some #truly terrible things because you were in them
