Martyr’s don’t kill innocents including children. Content warning: it’s about a school shooting and people posting pictures of themselves holding weapons.
Controversial group behind 'Trans Day of Vengeance' raised money for firearms training - as other trans protestors pose with guns ahead of march in DC on Saturday
The protest was rebranded before the Nashville tragedy from 'visibility' to 'vengeance' by the Trans Radical Activist Network
But some social media users appear to have taken the protest to another level and have posed with powerful firearms posted along with the hashtag
Twitter has since removed more than 5,000 posts that have used the flyer for the event on April 1
Despite three nine-year-olds being gunned down by a transgender shooter at a private Christian school in Nashville, activists are still rallying the troops to protest for a 'Trans Day of Vengeance' - months after raising money for firearms training.
Transgender shooter Audrey Hale opened fire on the Covenant School in Nashville at 10.30am on Monday, killing Hallie Scruggs, William Kinney and Evelyn Dieckhaus during her rampage at the school.
But despite rising political tensions across the country, which saw a press secretary for Arizona Democrat Governor post a Tweet about shooting transphobes, the Trans Radical Activist Network (TRAN) is pushing forward with their protest in DC.
Tumblr media
The Virginia chapter of the group held a 'dance party fundraiser' in Richmond 'benefiting firearm/self-defense training for trans-Virginians' on March 7, before the mass shooting had taken place.
In statements, the group has taken pains to distance themselves from Hale, and her actions, and changed the name of the protest before the brutal slayings.
The protest on Saturday was initially meant to be called a 'day of visibility' but rebranded before the shooting to vengeance because it means 'fighting back with vehemence' – though the group was quick to say they do not 'encourage or promote violence' when contacted by DailyMail.com.
But one person posing as an activist appears to have taken the movement to the next level, posting a picture of a heavily armed person with an assault rifle and threatening to 'kill christcucks' - as Twitter removed thousands of posts with flyers for the event.
Twitter has been removing the posts that could be deemed threatening or involve guns associated with the 'TransDayofVengeance' hashtag - but it is unclear exactly how many were others posing with weapons as they have since been deleted.
Ella Irwin, Twitter's head of trust and safety, wrote that the company removed more than 5,000 tweets that included a poster for the event.
She said: 'We do not support tweets that incite violence irrespective of who posts them.
'Vengeance' does not imply peaceful protest. Organizing or support for peaceful protests is ok.'
Two other trans activists have since posted footage and photos of themselves with rifles, which appear to be in direct response to the Nashville shooting.
One says that she will use the weapon for 'protection' against 'transphobes' who  target them.
Kayla Denker, who describes themselves as a ‘communist, archaeologist and writer, posted the video of herself with her gun after the incident in Nashville – despite saying ‘advocating for trans people to arm ourselves is not any kind of a solution to the genocide we are facing’.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She is also appealing for help with the medical bills for her transition on her social media, which has now been locked down.
Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Green also saw her account removed after she launched several anti-trans attacks on Twitter.
Greene claimed that 'Antifa' was organizing the alleged event, and reposted a poster for the protest while complaining Twitter kept removing her posts before she was ultimately suspended.
Activists are being encouraged to 'bring a buddy' and wear a mask at the event outside of the Supreme Court in DC on April 1, and is billed as avenging a 'trans genocide.'
Organizers did not respond when asked questions about the safety of protests amid the increasing pressure between the two sides of the political spectrum.
Websites such as Etsy are still being used to sell pro-gun and trans merchandise, with stickers that say 'defend equality' with assault rifles on as well as t-shirts and other items emblazoned with 'Trans rights… or else' which also have the high-powered guns in pink, white and blue – the Trans colors – on them.

Tumblr media
Tumblr media
TRAN is run by three co-founders, one of whom is a former staffer for the Virginia Democrats and stepped down to work with the group.
Bo Belotti, the national recruitment director, is a 'trans masculine non-binary person' and helped the Virginia chapter of the group to raise money to go on guns and self-defence.
On March 7, the Virginia chapter held a 'dance party fundraiser' in Richmond 'benefiting firearm/self-defense training for trans-Virginians. Come boogie with us and defend trans life!'
Belotti worked as a fellow for Del. Elizabeth Guzman, and Del. Joshua Cole as a legislative aide and helped draft HB 145, which required the state to create model transgender policies for public schools.
His bio on the website adds: 'While working in their state's legislators they helped craft trans-affirming statewide policies.'
Tumblr media
Another co-founder is non-binary Tsukuru, who had been posting updates on the protest before locking down their account following the backlash in the aftermath of the mass shooting.
Their bio states that they were a 'graduate of a high school in Hiroshima where 350 young lives were brutally taken on August 6, 1945, Tsukuru is an anti-nuclear/anti-war/human rights activist.'
It adds: 'After his brief marriage to his best friend and the birth of his child, he first came out as lesbian at age 29 and as a transgender man at age 50.'
The final founder is Noah Buchanan who helped to set up Tran initially, writing on the website: 'Noah Buchanan; I am a transgender male and have been out since 2018. I have 10+ years of working in the mental health field.
'What motivated me to start TRAN was the fact I was bullied to the point where I attempted to end my own life. The person that bullied me was a fellow member of the LGBTIA+.'
Tumblr media
In a statement to DailyMail.com Buchanan said: 'What I will say is that this protest was not about encouraging or promoting violence.
This protest is about uniting and letting people know that we are human beings, we exist, and love conquers hate.'

TW: Trans activists
For more than a decade now, trans activists have been harassing those who belong to a feminist philosphy we call radical feminism or the women’s liberation movement.
Tumblr media
Radical feminists, like most feminists, believe that men use sex to oppress women. Meaning they oppress women through sexual exploitation and by perpetuating sexist discrimination towards those who belong to the female sex. They were the first to research and expose violence against women as endemic and traumatizing, and to create shelters for rape and domestic violence victims. Those shelters are now being vandalized and defunded by trans activists.
Tumblr media
Because radical feminists don’t believe in gender identities, gendered souls, gender roles or any form of innate personality based on sexist stereotypes, they have been receiving rape and death threats on a daily basis. The acronym “terf” was soon invented and is now used to describe any person who doesn’t support the trans movement, even if they’re not feminists, just as long as they're women, though lesbians and feminists tend to be the primary targets.
Tumblr media
As a whole, the trans movement claims that its biggest enemy and threat, its most pressing matter, its most dangerous opponent is the women’s liberation movement or what they call “radfems” or “terfs”. This is where their energy and anger is directed, typically in the form of sexist and sexual harassment, intimidation techniques, violence, censorship and social isolation. So let’s talk about that.
From the book Hate Crimes in Cyberspace:
Cyber harassment involves threats of violence, privacy invasions, reputation-harming lies, calls for strangers to physically harm victims, and technological attacks.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Victims’ in-boxes are inundated with threatening e-mails. Their employers receive anonymous e-mails accusing them of misdeeds. Even if some abuse is taken down from a site, it quickly reappears on others. Victims’ sites are forced offline with distributed-denial-of-service attacks.
Tumblr media
While some attackers confine abuse to networked technologies, others use all available tools to harass victims, including real-space contact. Offline harassment or stalking often includes abusive phone calls, vandalism, threatening mail, and physical assault.
Tumblr media
The Internet extends the life of destructive posts. Harassing letters are eventually thrown away, and memories fade in time. The web, however, can make it impossible to forget about malicious posts. And posts that go viral attract hundreds of thousands of readers.
Tumblr media
Online harassment can quickly become a team sport, with posters trying to outdo each other. Posters compete to be the most offensive, the most abusive. An accurate name for such online groups is cyber mobs. The term captures both the destructive potential of online groups and the shaming dynamic at the heart of the abuse.
Tumblr media
Cyber harassment disproportionately impacts women. The U.S. National Violence Against Women Survey reports that 60 percent of cyber stalking victims are women, and the National Center for Victims of Crimes estimates that the rate is 70 percent. Of the 3,393 individuals reporting cyber harass-ment to WHOA from 2000 to 2011, 72.5 percent were female. The most recent Bureau of Justice Statistics report found that 74 percent of individuals who were stalked on or offline were female, and 26 percent were male.
Tumblr media
Researchers found that users with female names received on average one hundred “malicious private messages,” which the study defined as “sexually explicit or threatening language,” for every four received by male users.
Tumblr media
According to the study, “Male human users specifically targeted female users.” By contrast, men are more often attacked for their ideas and actions. John Scalzi, a science fiction author and popular blogger, has found online invective typically situational. When he writes something that annoys people, they tell him so. People do not make a “hobby” out of attacking his appearance and existence as they do female bloggers.
Tumblr media
The nature of the attacks similarly attests to bigotry’s presence. Hate expresses something uniquely damaging. It labels members of a group as inhuman “others” who do not possess equal worth. It says that group members are inferior and damaged. Bigotry conveys the message that group members are objects that can be destroyed because they have no shared humanity to consider.
Tumblr media
Cyber harassment exploits these features by exposing victims’ sexuality in humiliating ways. Victims are equated with their sexual organs, often described as diseased.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Once cyber harassment victims are sexually exposed, posters penetrate them virtually with messages that say “I will fuck your ass to death you filthy fucking whore, your only worth on this planet is as a warm hole to stick my cock in.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rape threats profoundly impact women: over 86 percent of rape victims are female. Virtual elimination may follow the imagined penetration: “First I’ll rape you, then I’ll kill you.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
One woman who faced online abuse noted, “Someone who writes ‘You’re just a cunt’ is not trying to convince me of anything but my own worthlessness.” Despite the gravity of their predicaments, cyber harassment victims are often told that nothing can or should be done about online abuse. Journalists, bloggers, lay observers, and law enforcement officials urge them to ignore it. Victims are called “whiny baby girl[s]” who are overreacting to “a few text messages.” Often victims are blamed for the abuse. They are scolded for sharing their nude images with loved ones or for blogging about controversial topics. They are told that they could have avoided the abuse had they been more careful.
Tumblr media
A related message sent to victims is that the benefits of online opportunities are available only to those who are willing to face the Internet’s risks. They are advised not to expect anything different if they want to make a name for themselves online. The choice is theirs: they can toughen up or go offline.
The Internet is governed by society’s rules. Life online bleeds into life offline and vice versa. The notion that more aggression should be tolerated in cyberspace than in real space presumes that virtual spaces are cordoned off from physical ones.
Tumblr media
Most victims do not report cyber harassment to the police because they assume that nothing will be done about it. Sadly, they are right. Law enforcement frequently fails to act on victims’ complaints even though criminal law would punish some of the behavior. Victims are told to turn off their computers because “boys will be boys.” Online harassment victims are told that nothing can be done; they are advised to ignore rape and death threats. During the summer of 2013, high-profile women were subjected to a torrent of online threats. The feminist activist Caroline Criado Perez received hundreds of graphic rape threats via Twitter after her successful campaign to feature more female images on British banknotes.
Tumblr media
Members of Parliament and female writers who publicly supported Criado-Perez faced the same, including bomb threats. One tweet featured a picture of a masked man holding a knife with the message, “I’m gonna be the first thing u see when u wake up.”
Tumblr media
Because the Internet serves as people’s workspaces, professional networks, résumés, social clubs, and zones of public conversation, it deserves the same protection as offline speech. No more, no less.
Tumblr media
Without doubt, the free speech interests at stake are weighty. Free expression is crucial to our ability to govern ourselves, to express our thoughts, and to discover truths. For that reason, government cannot censor ideas because society finds them offensive. Truthful speech must not be banned just because it makes people uncomfortable.
Tumblr media
But credible threats, certain defamatory falsehoods, social security numbers, and nude images posted without consent contribute little to discourse essential for citizens to govern themselves and discover truths. Their net effect is the silencing of victims. Victims could blog, post videos, and engage on social networks without fear of destructive cyber harassment. They could raise money using networked tools unencumbered by rape threats, reputation-harming lies, and distributed- denial- of- service attacks. They could take advantage of all of the expressive opportunities available online. Protecting against online harassment would secure the necessary preconditions for victims’ free expression.
Tumblr media
With the help of law and the voluntary efforts of Internet intermediaries, parents, and teachers, we might someday achieve a free and equal Internet. We need to take action before cyber harassment becomes a normal feature of online interactions. A hostile online environment is neither inevitable nor desirable. We should not squander this chance to combat discriminatory online abuse; it is early enough in our use of networked tools to introduce equality of opportunity as a baseline norm of interaction.

Published: Apr 15, 2024
CHICAGO — About 300 anti-war activists crowded into the basement of the Teamsters Union’s headquarters on Saturday to hear organizers from all over the country describe their plans to disrupt the Democratic National Convention this August. Joe Biden’s backing of Israel since Hamas’s October 7 attack has turned these left-wing radicals against their own party.
“It’s really inspiring to see that people are just as enthusiastic, and maybe even more enthusiastic, to march on the DNC as they are to march on the RNC,” says Omar Florez, a Milwaukee-based activist. “We can thank Genocide Joe and our movement for that.”
But then a man stumbles to the podium, wiping sweat from his forehead. He grabs the microphone to announce that the Islamic regime of Iran has launched missiles and drones heading straight toward Israel.
“They believe that they will be in Palestinian—I don’t call it Israeli—airspace between two and four a.m., which means about two to four hours from now,” he says. “In addition, there are reports of drones having been fired on Israel from Yemen and Iraq.”
The crowd, all wearing black N95s, erupts into applause. Someone in the back lowers their mask to send a celebratory whistle soaring throughout the room.
The man at the podium, Hatem Abudayyeh, heads the U.S. Palestinian Community Network, “a purported community group which, on information and belief, is an affiliate of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a designated terror organization based in Gaza,” according to a lawsuit over the alleged relations between U.S. advocacy groups and Hamas.
“This is when this country and the world needs us because the United States is going to, quote unquote, defend the criminal Israeli state,” says Abudayyeh, whose home was raided by the FBI in 2010 as part of an investigation “concerning the material support of terrorism.”
“We have to assume that the United States is going to try to retaliate against Iran.”
After the boos and calls of “shame” subside, Abudayyeh says it is “incumbent” upon Americans to “stop the United States from expanding this war and hitting Iran.”
“We’ve got to be the strong, powerful anti-war movement that we are,” he says, placing the microphone down and exiting the stage.
The crowd immediately began chanting, “Hands off Iran.”
A woman in a hot pink gas mask, wielding a matching neon cane and dressed in a “Protect Trans Kids” t-shirt, throws her fist in the air. Nearby, a service poodle is taking a nap under the chair of his owner, who is wearing a leather harness over his t-shirt. Then the group that has joined here from cities across America—Seattle, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles—cheers and claps in celebration.
Joe Iosbaker, an organizer with the Freedom Road Socialist Organization, which called October 7 a “good turn of events” in its press release about the terrorist attacks, tells me he supports Iran. His organization has since released a statement backing Iran, where citizens gathered to shout “Death to America” during their nation’s strike against Israel Saturday night.
“We demand hands off Iran,” the statement says. “The people have power, and we will exercise it in the streets.”
Earlier that day, before news of the attack broke, at a “breakout session” on “the anti-war movement,” Shabbir Rizvi, an organizer with Anti-War Committee Chicago, taught participants how to chant “death to Israel” and “death to America” in Farsi.
“Marg bar Israel,” he chanted, leading a group of about 80 attendees along with him. A man draped in a Soviet flag bearing a gold hammer and sickle clapped his hands.
A man in a full black denim outfit shouted out behind his N95—“Can we get a ‘marg bar America’?”
“We can get a ‘marg bar America,’ ” Rizvi replied.
Then Rizvi raised his hand in the air, leading the crowd like a conductor.
“Marg bar America,” they cheered.
On my way out of the event, I ask a woman smoking a cigarette to fill me in on the latest news regarding Iran’s lobbing of missiles and drones, which were later intercepted with help from forces from France, the U.S., and the UK. Iran said its strike was retaliation for Israel’s hit on the Iranian embassy in Syria earlier this month, which destroyed the consulate building next to the embassy and killed two of Tehran’s top commanders, and that the matter is “concluded”—unless Israel hits back.
“Iran is part of the resistance,” said the woman, who flew in that morning from New Orleans, where she’s been part of an effort to disrupt Israel-bound shipments in her hometown. “Yemen and Iran and Hezbollah, who are also a militant group in Lebanon, and the Syrian government are all parts of the arc of resistance.”
A smile creeps across her face as she tells me: “They’re part of the arc of resistance because the enemies are Israel and the USA.”

Remember Mahsa Amini? These insane fuckers don't. They've sided with the brutal Islamic Republic of Iran.
They hate our liberal, secular countries and they want to destroy them. They keep telling us who they are. Do you believe them yet?
Revoke citizenship and deport. I wasn't kidding before and I'm still not kidding now.

Vox documents the transphobia of J.K. Rowling
Tumblr media
There can be no doubt about this: J.K. Rowling is severely transphobic.
Bigots do not want to seen as bigots, even when they are. They therefore often feign sympathy for the group they are harassing in a “I am not a racist, but...” kind of way.
I have lost count on the number of times gender critical TERFs have told me that calling J.K. Rowling transphobic is offensive both to her and to them. This is a fascinating exercise, as there are few people around that have done this much to harm and invalidate transgender women.
Vox has now done the excellent job of gathering J.K. Rowling’s most transphobic statements and acts in one easy to read article. I suggest that we all bookmark the piece and add a link to it in all threads where transphobes try to deny their own cruelty.
(I am not recommending engaging them in a discussion, as they would love to drag you down into their dark rabbit hole of lies and half-truths. Just add a link to the Vox article, so that other readers are informed about the truth.)
J.K. Rowling’s rampant transphobia
Aja Romano writes:
Rowling has made her antagonistic position on trans issues clear through tweets, sound bites, actions, and even a 3,600-word blog post.
By 2023, her transphobia has become so rampant and constant that it’s difficult to build a completely comprehensive timeline of it. For those attuned to it, she doesn’t have to spell it out every single time; it’s a huge part of her identity.
These dog whistles only lead to more confusion, however, allowing people to point to the absence of immediately obvious bigotry to claim she’s being unfairly maligned.
Additionally, she increasingly threatens detractors with legal action, which contributes to critics of her behavior falling silent. Conspicuously, many of her legal threats appear to be directed at individuals identifying as part of the LGBTQ+ community.
The destructive nature of the TERF community
Since Rowling began airing her views, her community, especially online where many of these conversations are had, is now stacked with similarly minded people who share her transphobic beliefs.
For instance, Rowling is friends with numerous anti-trans activists, including Helen Joyce, who’s made alarmingly transphobic statements calling for a “reduction” in the number of trans people.
She’s tweeted public support for anti-gay, anti-trans activist Caroline Farrow. These connections are part of a social network echo chamber of trans-exclusionary radical feminists, or TERFs (sometimes called “radfems” or the “gender-critical” movement). In Rowling’s native UK, TERFism has gained a unique stronghold over some particularly vocal, ostensibly liberal feminists like Rowling.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Organizers of the Washington D.C. march scheduled for April 1 have called off the action due to credible threats of fascist violence.
The Trans Day of Vengeance protest became a flashpoint for far right threats in recent days.
Statement from Trans Radical Activist Network & Our Rights DC:
“This action will not be taking place Saturday due to a credible threat to life and safety. The safety of our trans community is first priority. This threat is the direct result of the flood of raw hatred directed toward the trans community after the Tennessee shooting.
"Individuals who had nothing to with that heinous act have been subjected to highly serious threats and blamed only because of their gender identity. This is one of the steps in genocide, and we will continue our efforts to protect trans lives. "While we wholeheartedly believe in the mission and message we put forth for trans day of vengeance, we must prioritize the safety of our community and the people that make it up.
"In an ideal world we would have continued on in defiance of the attempt to silence our right to free expression. However, we lack the resources to ensure the safety of the protest and cannot in good conscience move forward with it. In our continued efforts to preserve trans and non binary life we have notified the appropriate agencies."

The problem though feels like a lot of mainstream feminism no longer wants to dismantle the patriarchy. It's been coopted by systems of power that include patriarchy, capitalism, and white supremacy and deform and defang it. So many people are becoming disillusioned with feminism because the most visible face of it is #girlboss shit and other forms of commodified feminism. That's not a feminism I want to ally with, and it's the most common one to see around.
In addition, the the influx of radical feminist ideas and the poisoning of the well that MRAs did around legitimate men's issues, mean that even effective feminist groups are often suspicious to hostile of men and men's issues, and it's... tiring, trying to prove yourself over and over to people who've been hurt by other people that you're not like them and that your issues are important. That's if they even let you try to prove yourself rather than saying that you have no place trying because you're a man.
I don't think that men who are trying to take down the patriarchy are going to be able to find a home in most feminist spaces because #girlboss has no space for men and radical feminism has even less. Personally, I like Men's Lib. It aligns with the goals of feminism, but doesn't result in being told that I'm speaking over women for discussing our issues with patriarchy.
I mean, yeah! imo what you're describing is a kind of adjacent group, or internal group, of people who have similar goals to you already.
That's what transmascs who've been talking about transandrophobia have been doing, too. We're not outside of trans activism, nor are we at odds with any demographic of trans people. We're just not welcome in a lot of trans activist spaces right now; what we're doing is building communities and networks within ourselves, working with the ideas and goals of the rest of the community, and trying to build allyship between us and everyone else so we can be a stronger trans community overall.
It's not a 1:1 allegory, but the situation with feminism and men is similar. Mainstream feminism has absolutely been poisoned by libfem and corporate #girlboss bullshit; radical feminism is on the rise lately; those things all range from useless to openly hostile to men. But that's not all feminism is, either. Men's Lib is adjacent to feminism if not wholly a part of it, it's just doing that in a way that's productive.
My saying "MRAs are not your allies, feminism is" is not me saying I think men should try independently to join and change spaces that are hostile to them. Obviously that's unsafe and unproductive. What I'm saying is that the spaces we need to cultivate in order to make progress need to be seeking allyship, not confrontation.
Feminist spaces are currently pretty hostile to men, particularly those who want to talk about what they face under patriarchy, and who want to participate without being pressured to self-flagellate or allow themselves to be a target for other people's unrelated frustrations. Considering there are actual problems that men face as a part of patriarchy, that's really unfortunate and really counterproductive to larger systemic change.
So yeah, find people who have similar goals. Join and form communities. But you have to do the work to make sure those communities are healthy, to course-correct as needed, and to keep your goals firmly in front of you at all times. Don't get sidetracked by MRA bullshit, and don't mistake them for your friends or allies.
Feminism is going through some shit right now, and that sucks for all of us. But we need to stand by and fight for the core values and goals, because that's what's ultimately going to fix the problems we're all working to solve. Not reviving misogynistic hate groups from 8 years ago.

So, y'all seemed to like my last TMR OC/idea prompt list thing, so I thought I'd do another one.
But actually focus on OC ideas this time.
Okay, so here are some cool OC ideas because there's actually a lot you can do with this universe, but everyone does the same shit.
And I am here to provide:
A transfer character. Can be used for either the books or the movies, but an OC that starts off in one Maze and then gets moved to another with no warning could be an interesting concept. WICKED has made giant simulation Mazes, monsters, flesh eating floating metal balls and teleportation windows- I don't think it's that far-fetched that they could scoop a kid from one Maze and throw them in another.
So, Thomas and Teresa obviously built the Maze, so prodigy characters are a staple of the series. I think an OC that has a lot of knowledge about anatomy and biology, who could work as a Med-jack or a Slicer, who actually designed and made the Grievers, and obviously doesn't remember it, could be a interesting concept.
More male OCs pls. I love seeing these ladies, don't get me wrong because it makes things more interesting. But I think fanfiction can just be for fun and I love seeing some casual normal guy OCs kicking it around the Glade. (Saying this as someone who has male and female characters for this universe.)
I'd also love to see a trans character.
An OC that snuck into the Maze could also be fun. I feel like I need to explain this one more. Picture this: your character is like Teresa and Thomas and has enough of watching their friends be tortured and killed, so they set themself up to go into the Maze early. So they rock up early, like in the middle of two Greenie days and it freaks everyone out. (This could also be an easy way to make it make more sense for fem! OCs to end up in the Glade.)
OC with a cyborg limp of some kind. WICKED could make it happen, don't tell me they wouldn't.
Also, lemme give some names 'cause there was a phase a while back where OCs had the most random names and people completely ignored the fact that all the characters in the Mazes are named after famous people.
(I have used some of these names for my own characters, but I will not be revealing the name of my main OC because she is too precious to me and I am protective over her name. I may one day post about her if people are interested.)
MASCULINE
Otto - Otto Hahn: A German nuclear chemist who is often referred to as the father of nuclear chemistry and nuclear fission.
Leo - Leonardo da Vinci: This one is obvious but just in case you don't know; a famous polymath of the High Renaissance who had several talents, including painting, engineering, science and sculpting.
Dalton - John Dalton: An English chemist, physicist and meteorologist. He introduced the atomic theory into chemistry and researched into colour blindness (also known as Daltonism in many languages).
Al/Alan - Alan Turing: Cryptanalyst famous for his work during the Second World War.
Micky- Michael Faraday: A philosopher who contributed to the study of electromagnetism and electrochemistry.
GENDER-NEUTRAL
Clerk - James Clerk Maxwell: Scottish mathematician responsible for the theory of electromagnetic radiation.
Coper - Nicolaus Copernicus: A Renaissance polymath who formulated the model of the universe with the Sun in the middle.
Andy - Anders Celsius: A Swedish astronomer who invented the Celsius temperature scale.
Mo - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Famous composer.
Hol - Andy Warhol: Famous artist.
FEMININE
Mea/Marie - Marie Salomea Curie: A pioneer of radioactivity.

Mike Johnson “applauds” efforts to make gay marriage & sodomy illegal again
Anti-LGBTQ+ House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) didn’t just agree with Justice Clarence Thomas’ suggestion that the Supreme Court should revisit its 2015 decision legalizing same-sex marriage — he applauded it. The court’s 2022 decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization struck down Roe v. Wade, ending the constitutional right to abortion in the U.S. In his concurring opinion, Thomas included a footnote asserting that by striking down the legal basis for Roe, the court had called into question every other decision using the same reasoning. Related: Mike Johnson says his pals would use trans laws to spy on naked girls He argued that trans people shouldn’t have rights because his friends were peeping Toms. Thomas went so far as to specifically name the Supreme Court’s decisions in Obergefell v. Hodges and Lawrence v. Get the Daily Brief The news you care about, reported on by the people who care about you: Subscribe to our Newsletter The same day that the court released its Dobbs decision in June 2022, Johnson cheered Thomas’s footnote on conservative pundit Todd Starnes’s radio show. In an audio recording resurfaced by CNN this week, Johnson touted his years of experience fighting against same-sex marriage, same-sex adoption, and same-sex marital benefits as a senior attorney for anti-LGBTQ+ hate group Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) prior to being elected to public office. “We’ve been sort of working against these activist courts for years,” Johnson said. “I was in those courts for 20 years, in federal court litigating these big cases, religious freedom, pro-life cases before I got elected to Congress in 2016.” “There’s been some really bad law made,” Johnson continued. “They’ve made a mess of our jurisprudence in this country for the last, you know, several decades, and maybe some of that needs to be cleaned up.” “What Justice Thomas is calling for is not radical,” he added. “In fact, it’s the opposite of that, you know? We finally have a majority of originalists on the court, and all that means is that they want to fairly interpret and apply the Constitution as it’s written, as the framers of the Constitution intended. That’s the basis of our whole system of government, and we have to get back to that. And that’s what he stands for, and we applaud that.” Since taking the speakership late last month after weeks of Republican infighting, Johnson’s anti-LGBTQ+ beliefs and extensive history of opposing LGBTQ+ rights have come under scrutiny alongside his key role in efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election. In addition to his work for the ADF, which included work for a now-defunct anti-LGBTQ+ Christian group that promoted so-called “conversion therapy,” he wrote several editorials in the early 2000s criticizing the Supreme Court for striking down anti-sodomy laws. His editorials also opposed same-sex marriage and argued against non-discrimination protections for LGBTQ+ people. More recently, as a member of Congress, Johnson introduced a federal version of Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” law, falsely accused President Joe Biden of breaking federal law by displaying the Progress Pride flag outside the White House, and claimed that parents do not have the right to provide their children with access to gender-affirming healthcare. Johnson still sits on the board of a conservative Christian publishing company that says MPOX is the “appropriate penalty” for being gay. His wife, Kelly, runs a Christian counseling service that compared LGBTQ+ identities to bestiality on its website. In an October 3 call with the World Prayer Network, Johnson said that America is “dark and depraved” because there are too many LGBTQ+ people. http://dlvr.it/SzJ7G7

A journalist job is to report the truth. Even when that conflicts with someone’s sense of identity
French associations SOS Homophobie and Mousse filed a complaint against journalist Dora Moutot for “public insults because of gender identity, and public provocation to hatred or violence against a group of people because of their gender identity.” The two associations released a joint statement on February 15, 2023, after Moutot said on TV show Quelle Époque (France 2) that Marie Cau, the first trans-identified male elected as mayor in France, was a “transfeminine man.”
The remark about Marie Cau’s male biological sex was made after journalist Léa Salamé asked Moutot “Is Marie Cau a woman to you?”
The complaint also accuses Moutot of “transphobia” for an Instagram post she made on August 25, 2022, where she described an individual called Hanneli Escurier as a “trans-identified woman.” Escurier was born with female anatomy but self-declares as male. Moutot was “reacting” to a text published by Escurier, in which the trans activist wrote “One day very soon, I think, trans people will go and smash TERFS ( Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist: expression which designates activists who exclude trans women of feminist struggles, Editor's note)That's how it's going to end (...) It's not a call for violence, just a public premonition about something that will become inevitable.”
Moutot is said to have created a crowdfunding for her legal costs against the complaint filed against her.
Recently, an opinion piece in French publication Marianne with several personalities - journalists, historians and doctors - protested the allegations against Moutot. According to the piece, published on February 27, there was relentless “outcry” on the internet, describing Moutot as a “violent, transphobic and anti-trans activist.”
The authors of the article continue: “In her remarks, no hatred, [there was] no desire to damage anyone. She describes what she sees. She talks about her perception, her reality. She repeats it several times: for her, a woman is a female. Faced with several men who revile her and an audience who boos her (scenes cut during editing), she unfolds her arguments calmly. She worries about the practical consequences of transgender ideology for women, for children, for society as a whole. She didn't come to stigmatize trans people, she came to defend women.”
The opinion piece further argues that people should have the right to disagree with Moutot’s remarks, but claims that the journalist is being accused of “wrongthink,” quoting the words attributed to Voltaire: “I don't agree with what you say, but I will fight to the death for you to have the right to say it."
“With this complaint, for the first time in France… transidentitarian activists are seeking to put into practice their mantra (which was) limited to social networks: ‘Transphobia is not an opinion, it is a crime’.”
In 2022, Moutot teamed up with French feminist Marguerite Stern and formed the group Femelliste after both women have been subjected to years of harassment for their views on women’s rights. Moutot was talking about female sexuality on her Instagram account @TasJoui, when, in 2019, trans activists started “explaining to her that talking about clitorises was not inclusive of trans women,” according to their website.
The Femelliste website has been collecting and archiving evidence of the harassment women are being subjected to if they dare to talk about female issues. “FEMELLISTE was born out of the compelling desire to fight against harassment, violence and censorship of women referred to as ‘TERFs’.” Femelliste published their manifesto on January 9, 2023.
“The harassment, the insults, the threats and the cancel culture that we endure form a sprawling system,” says the Femelliste website. “For the past three years, we have been archiving what we experience. Downloading, filing and analyzing the thousands of screenshots.”
The Femelliste group warns that they are not the only ones to have been subjected to harassment for their views on women’s rights. “All over the world, other women who hold the same positions as us are also constantly harassed. Like us, they are referred to as TERFs - Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminists. This term - used as an insult, and most of the time accompanied by threats - is a new way to disqualify women who oppose transgender ideology by affirming biological realities. In France, some associations and activists are calling for the exclusion of "TERFS" through the slogan "TERF out of our struggles".

The Political Landscape for Transgender Rights and Its Implications
Anna Bojorqiez
Many people don’t even realize that transgender rights are under attack, or care about the “culture war”, the cultural conflict that has become much more prominent due to failing institutions, growing inequalities, and technology that encourages people to cluster in their cultural groups.
But the fact of the matter is that this culture war is going to harm the people it is targeting. Former President Donald Trump has promised to ban gender-affirming care for minors, and to go after gender-affirming healthcare providers.
During this past years Conservative Political Action Coalition (CPAC), which is a political rally full of speeches, panel discussions, breakout sessions, and networking breakfasts. Michael Knowels, a political pundit with conservative values on the media company known as the Daily Wire, has called for the eradication of “transgenderism”.
The state of transgender rights to gender-affirming healthcare is dire, and help from cishet allies is needed.
In this essay I will define those who stand in the way of gender-affirming healthcare and the context surrounding it, the implications of banning it, and then provide solutions to making gender affirming care a national right.
Tumblr media
My Personal Experience
As a transgender person myself, I feel the impact first-hand. There are nights when I cry myself to sleep, knowing that my trans siblings in conservative states might or will have their access to gender affirming care cut off by these invasive laws and consequently die out of fear that the same could happen to me if a Republican takes office as president again.
It is a traumatic experience to watch our rights get slowly stripped away, state by state, and it is an experience that is not talked about enough within spaces occupied by cishet people.
LGB Drop the T
Even in the gay community, there is a growing number of gay people in the UK who are aligning themselves with the LGB Alliance, which is a trans-exclusive radical feminist (TERF) group.
TERFs, as the name would suggest, are radical feminists who reject the inclusion and recognition of transgender people in feminist spaces.
However, this differs from the intersectional feminist ideas of intersectionality, which takes account the different ways in which women experience discrimination, whereas TERF feminism is a form of white feminism and has a tendency to overshadow not only the struggles of queer women, but women of color, disabled women, and women in other minority groups.
This puts TERFs in a weird position where they align more with fascists that believe in authoritarianism and the exclusion of people who don’t fit into their definitions of “normal”.
JK Rowling And Matt Walsh Bond Over Transphobia
In fact, the author of the Harry Potter book series and well known TERF activist J.K. Rowling, has made numerous transphobic dog whistles on twitter.
She has also praised the right-wing political commentator for the Daily Wire who has directly quoted fascists’ speeches, Matt Walsh, for his What Is a Woman documentary, stating that the film did a “good job exposing the incoherence of gender identity theory and some of the harms it's done.”
This is just a minuscule example of how even liberal people who consider themselves openminded individuals can just as easily turn around and stab the trans community in the back.
Tumblr media
No, Were Not Grooming Your Kids.
With that said, many conservatives and TERFs have repeatedly made the claim that transgender people are “grooming kids” into transitioning, which is a process by which a predator builds trust and emotional connection with someone, usually a minor, for the purposes of abusing or exploiting the person who is being groomed.
There is absolutely no evidence to suggest that transgender people are grooming children. There is, however, ample evidence to show that gender-affirming healthcare, such as Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and puberty blockers, greatly improves the lives of transgender minors.
Why Minors Are Coming Out and the History of Left-Handedness
One might be asking, “if trans people aren’t grooming kids, why are so many minors coming out and transitioning?” The answer to that is simple.
If you are familiar with the left-handedness graph from the beginning of the 20th century to the beginning of the 21st century, you will see that left-handedness was at a low. Over the years it began to increase, and for similar reasons the transgender population is increasing. In the early 1900s, around 3% of the population identified as lefthanded. Over the course of the next 60 years, we saw an increase in the amount of left-handed people, but after the 1960s, the graph begins to even out.
This is because in the 1900s, there was a lot of religious and societal stigma around left-handedness, and people who were left-handed were forced to use their right hands, and wouldn’t admit to being left-handed due to the potential social backlash. (10)
Tumblr media
Similarly, up until recently, most people didn’t even know that transgender people existed, and those that did often used offensive terms to describe transgender folks, which contributed to an environment of hostility towards transgender people.
For so long, so many trans people were afraid to come out due to the social backlash that came with it. But in the late 2010s and early 2020s, trans people were just barely starting to be shown in some mainstream media outlets in a positive light, and more people started to come out overtime.
Overtime, as acceptance of the transgender community begins to grow, the percentage of transgender folks will start to even out, just like it did in the left-handedness graph.
Left-handed people did not groom right-handed people into becoming left-handed, acceptance of left-handedness increased. In the same way, transgender adults are not grooming kids to become transgender; transgender kids are just starting to feel safe enough to come out, and it would be silly to suggest otherwise.
Banning Gender Affirming Healthcare Is Going to Kill Us
In addition, there is evidence to suggest that these bills that are banning gender-affirming care for transgender people, particularly minors, have been and are going to increase suicidality in the trans community.
In a policy analysis by Journal of Law Med Ethics, it mentions that these laws impact the trans community by shaping the contexts within which they receive social services, healthcare, and engage with their communities, and by “creating an overarching social landscape within which anti-trans sentiment and rhetoric cultivate misunderstanding of, hostility towards, and even violence against trans folks."
In a 2018 study by the American Academy of Pediatrics found that “nearly 14% of [transgender] adolescents reported a previous suicide attempt,” while the Journal of Law Med Ethics policy analysis found that the suicide attempt rate for transgender youths in 2022 was 19%.
The suicide attempt rate increase may seem small and insignificant, but that is a major increase. It is no coincidence that the suicide attempt rate has gone up as the amount of anti-trans bills being proposed goes up. This goes to show just how dangerous these laws are to the transgender population, and the need for everyone, including cisgender people, to stand up for what is right.
Tumblr media
What Can We Do?
The situation in the US surrounding gender-affirming healthcare rights may seem hopeless to some, especially trans folks, but there are ways to help.
Cis allies need to talk to other cis people about the issue, spread awareness, and advocate for trans rights. People who are anti-trans aren’t going to listen to other trans people.
Cis people need to stop voting for the Republicans, and consider voting for a progressive candidate. Engage with lawmakers, especially local lawmakers. Attend townhall meetings, write letters, make phone calls, and use social media to urge them to oppose or repeal discriminatory legislation with evidence-based arguments and personal experiences.
And if all else fails, go to protests and make your voice heard.
Final Thoughts on the Issue
Hopefully this essay will clear up any misconceptions about the political implications of banning gender-affirming care.
In conclusion, the rights of the transgender community are being stripped away state by state. This will cause irreparable harm to transgender people, and will result in an increased suicide rate among those who are gender-nonconforming.
We need to meet each other where were at and ask questions to better understand each other, engage with lawmakers, and vote. It is vital to the survival of trans community that we take action now.

A Day of Vengeance
Yesterday in Washington DC, a few miles away from the church I pastor, was a rally called the “Trans Day of Vengeance.” The event will be led by the “Trans Radical Activist Network,” and has been promoted by political leaders around the country. Supporters of the “Trans Day of Vengeance” say that the Trans Community is under attack, and their protection can only come through retribution. This…

British TERF quotes Hitler in support of her transphobic ideology
Gender critical TERFs (”trans-exclusionary radical feminists”) have been know to ally themselves with far right extremists in their war against transgender women, but Lisa Morgan takes the cake.
In a rally in Newcastle in England she found support in Adolf Hitler’s awful book Mein Kampf.
Elizabeth “Lisa” Morgan, said:
“I know about language, and I know that this is based on something that we call the big lie.
“Do you know the big lie? The big lie was first described by Adolf Hitler in Mein Kampf.
“The big lie is such a big lie that ordinary people like us think, ‘Well, that can’t be a lie because I would never tell such a big lie as that. We only lie in small ways.’
Tumblr media
The Hitler regime turned Germany into a Fascist dictatorship, developed a sophisticated propaganda machine all based on lies, destroyed the German LGBTQA culture, started World War II and killed six million Jews. Yet, here’s a TERF that thinks his opinions matter.
The need for a simple conspiracy theory
It actually makes perfect sense for her to go to Hitler for support. Hitler’s propaganda was based a conspiracy theory very similar to the one of far right extremists today.
For Hitler it was a conspiracy run by capitalists, Soviet Communists, Jews and the media. For the current fanatics it is a conspiracy between big tech, Communists, Jews and the media.
Anyone who makes any argument against these conspiracy theories are seen as presenting the “big lie”, disseminating “fake news,” or spread propaganda produced by “the Jews” or  “the transgender cult”.
Feminists lost in their own hatred
One should think “radical feminists” would see through such arguments. Indeed, most feminists do. But some are so completely consumed by their irrational hatred for trans people that they have become copies of their own enemies.
One counter-protester, named Abbie, told PinkNews that the use of Hitler’s ideas by anti-trans activists made both her – as well as the wider community in Newcastle – feel angry.
“Who in the right mind quotes Hitler!?,” she said.
The Norwegian trans activist Christine Jentoft put it this way:
If transphobes can actively name drop Adolf Hitler, quote him and use his specific strategies and you still do not understand, you should probably look into yourself and reflect on the possibility that you are part of the problem.
TransSafety Network has more.

Please spread the word to your trans/non-binary, gender non-conforming siblings and allies!
A weekend of protests on March 31st and April 1st in Washington, DC. Details TBD.
(March 31st is Trans Day of Visibility, but we are re-branding it as Trans Day of Vengeance.)
We are dedicating these actions to Ivory Nicole Smith, a beloved black trans woman community organizer in San Francisco, who was found dead last week. She was 27 years old.
We protest more than 200 anti-trans legislations that have already been introduced in this legislative cycle across the nation. We protest for our rights to exist and be respected as human beings. #transrightsarehumanrights
