okay, i know there are a lot of yuki haters out there...but i think this man is so underrated. he's basically canonically the most attractive character in all of blue lock and his back story is so sad, it makes me just want to hug him and i think the two of you would be so compatible— let me explain!!!

yuki's generally known as the more gentle and calm one amongst all of the blue lock player (though he obviously gets a little aggressive on the field, but we all have our moments right?). i think this calm demeanor would be a great trait to balance your anxious mindset. while you're struggling with post-action anxiety, he would be able to talk you through what's going on and help you understand that everything you do if okay! he's made his fair share of mistakes in the past, and he knows that the only way to move forward is to acknowledge that what's done is done— what matters today will likely not matter tomorrow, and he's an ace at comforting you on that subject.

he can also be a bit of a downer sometimes...or a lot of the time. i think that your upbeat attitude could challenge this negativity that he usually feels about himself. as i said before, he would be there for you when your having difficult times and you would also return the favor. when he's in the dumps because he lost a game or feels like his football career may be over, you're the person who's there to lift him up and make him laugh. to be frank, your laugh is probably his favorite sound and he'd think of it whenever he needs to focus and remember the things that bring him joy.

Ally! <3<3 Yay! How is it going? ^^ Sorry this took a little long, I actually had to think about my answers!!!

23: Most underrated member? Hmmmmmm..... hmmmmmmmmmmm.... I wanna say Jungwoo, obviously, I think he’s the one that comes to mind of most NCTzens. Because it took a long time for him to come ouf of his shell and then get comfortable again after his hiatus. And I think he has it all - great singer, great dancer, playful character, and I’m glad he’s getting the recognition lately that he deserves.

But! Who actually came on my mind as well, was Taeil. Yup, Taeil. With Taeil, it’s complicated. He’s “old”, so a portion of NCTzens just straight up ignores him because of a “generation gap”. He doesn’t really talk in variety shows, he’s not the most noticeable character in those shows, he’s just sitting down, waiting for his turn to speak. For me, he’s the most handsome man I’ve ever seen, but I’m also aware that beauty is a subjective thing and I’m also aware he does not look like your typical kpop idol, so yeah, he doesn’t fit the “visual” category either. Now, everyone in NCT are great dancers, but when you compare their skills among the members, Taeil is lacking sadly. I don’t know if it’s just me, but lately I’ve been noticing it a lot, like he’s out of sync, or doing it just halfway. I’m not saying he can’t dance or that he’s a bad dancer!!!!!!! Obviously noone in the kpop industry can afford the luxury of not being able to dance. I’m just saying, that when you say an “NCT dancer”, it’s not Taeil. So what am I trying to say? (I actually forgot my point) I’m saying that what Taeil is really excelling at, is singing. His voice is what blows my mind every time. And NCT doesn’t know how to use it properly. They only use Taeil for stupid useless high notes, like “yeah the song is finished, oh wait, we gotta give the Moonzens some Taeil content so they won’t cry, put a random highnote somewhere in the bridge, quick.” And that’s why I think he’s underrated. Because he doesn’t fit the classic kpop categories and the one he’s exceptionally good at isn’t being used to his advantage. I feel like he’s invisible to half of the fandom. And I also feel that if he wasn’t in NCT and studied that musical university he originally wanted, maybe he wouldn’t have made it internationally, but he could sing his heart out whenever he wanted to and he could be doing what he loves while living a decent normal life like any other adult deserves.

summary: your new neighbors were quite loud.. but it wasn’t until later that you found out why.

a/n: SO, as I’ve said this morning, this is going to be a little project of mine that will help both me and - hopefully - you guys. I want to write for underrated groups as well, but I unfortunately rarely get any requests for them and because I feel like the reason for that is because not a lot of people know about them, this is my solution. little, short stories that will hopefully get you kind of interested in the group. for starters, here is a.c.e, a group I’ve been listening to NON-STOP lately. the gifs are made from their most recent mv that you can find here, the entire group is filled with talent and if you have the time, please check them out and show them some love. I hope you enjoy this story and are looking forward to this project ♥ (ps: don’t worry, I won’t suddenly stop posting bts stuff or something like that lol, there will be another bts one - or about a single member of the group - tomorrow)

This apartment was everything you ever dreamed to have.

Sure, it wasn't necessarily the biggest with its 1.5 rooms plus bathroom, but it was enough for you and your needs.

And it wasn’t just the apartment itself, it was the area you were living that was definitely a lot better than where you had originally thought you'd end up with.

You had been looking for months, but all the apartments that were shown to you were in areas that you didn't feel comfortable in or the apartments were so run-down that you were afraid something would break upon touching it.

So you decided to invest a little more, but get something that you'd genuinely love coming back to at night.

And this was it.

If it.. weren't for the noisy neighbors that seemed to sing whenever they were at home.

The first day after getting your keys was fine, but maybe that was because after unpacking the first few boxes you had been so dead that you fell into your bed and fell asleep right away and didn’t hear anything else after that.

But on the second day you started hearing them. They were men.. more than one, probably even more than two, laughing, singing, screaming. And it was only then that you realized you maybe should have asked the landlord about the neighbors and about whether or not the walls were thin.

“If they're too loud you should just ask them to be quiet,” a friend of yours had come over after about a week of you staying in that apartment. She brought food and wine for you to celebrate your new place.

“I don't know, it could be worse I guess,” you shrugged, “I quite like their singing, actually..”

“Yeah,” she chuckled, “Imagine them having girls over.. that would be worse.”

You both started giggling at the thought of that.. and because maybe you've both had a little bit too much wine. But you didn't suddenly become deaf. The moment you heard them again, you were both immediately quiet, you pointing at the wall and looking at your friend with that: “I told you!” expression.

“You know what, this is the perfect opportunity,” she gulped down her last bit of wine in one go, then got up and pulled you to your feet as well, “You haven't introduced yourself yet, right?”

“Wh..- What? No, I don't want to! Not now!”

“Come on, don't be rude, you've living next to them for a week and you haven’t even said hello yet. You should at least know what the men look like that keep you up at night,” she laughed, probably thinking about something completely different as she just dragged you along despite your prostest.

She cleared her voice, then knocked on the door, making you think that she might want to talk to them as well..

..but nope.

The moment she pulled back her hand, she ran back into your apartment like a child, completely ignoring your: “No, don't!”.

You should have known that she’d pull a stunt like this. She was drunk and she thought this was funny and maybe she even wanted to give you a little push to talk to new men, but this wasn’t it, sis. You weren’t in a good condition to meet new neighbors, they’d think you’re super weird knocking at their door in the middle of the night, wearing sweatpants and an oversized sweatshirt.

“Open the door!” you hissed.

“I did,” a man chuckled.

Oh god, this was so humiliating.. even more so when you saw that, no, this wasn’t a guy in his late forties who gave up on life, but a very handsome young man that looked like he was in his prime.

"Uhm,” you started to fidget with your hands, “Hello.”

“Hi,” he laughed once again.

God. That's all you could think of. God.

But standing there like you were now, just staring at him, wasn’t a good idea either. You might as well introduce yourself.

“I'm.. (Y/N),” you cleared your voice, trying to be more confident as you slowly approached him, “I just moved into the apartment next to you. Well.. technically a week ago.”

“Ah, we thought someone new moved in.. I’m Jun.. nice to meet you, (Y/N).”

“Oh, we have a new neighbor?” another head peaked around the corner, smiling when he saw you, “It's nice to meet you! I’m Yuchan!”

“Nice.. to meet you too,” you smiled, “I’m (Y/N).”

And before you could say anything else, another man joined, but he just smiled at you and waved a little.

“So.. there’s three of you and I heard you sing quite a lot so.. are you guys a.. trio then?”

“There’s two more, actually, but they’re out having dinner right now.”

“Oh, wow.. so you’re an actual band, then?

They all hesitated. For a second you thought you had said something wrong, but then Jun started to smile and nod, but he didn't say anything else.

“Are we too loud?” Yuchan asked.

Should you lie? They were a band after all, so you could understand them singing.. and you liked it when they did.. but..-

“Well, it's fine throughout the day, but.. after midnight maybe..-”

“Sorry,” Jun immediately bowed, “We'll be more considerate from now on.”

“No, no, no, don't be formal with me, please,” you laughed and shook your head, “It's all good, really. I just thought I’d let you know.”

Before it could get awkward, your friend 'came to the rescue' – as she later called it – by opening the door again and saying: “What are you doing out there? The food's getting cold.”

And as you walked back inside your apartment, smiling at the three one last time, Donghun shoved his hands inside the pockets of his pants and grinned.

“So.. I’m going to say it first.. she’s super gorgeous.”

The other two boys just chuckled, shoving their fellow member back inside their own four walls.

That was the night you first met A.C.E.. without even knowing that they were A.C.E.

“Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry,” you quickly rushed to the table all your friends were already waiting at, “I overslept.”

“Yeah, we already heard about the handsome, noisy neighbors that are the cause of your messed up sleep schedule,” a friend of yours laughed, “We assumed they were the reason.”

“Or maybe one of them decided to personally introduce himself to you last night?” another one said, making all of them giggle.

You just shook your head, but with a smile, “I worked late last night and.. well, it is true, they were being pretty loud again, so it was kind of hard to fall asleep at first.. but I think one of them is a vocalist. He has.. such a beautiful voice. It lulled me to sleep in the end.”

“How many did you say there were again?”

“Five. I met all of them at this point.. very nice guys, actually. And from what I can hear, really talented. They should be stars in my opinion.”

She narrowed her eyes at you, “Did you ever consider that they might be an idol group? And that maybe.. they’re already part of the industry?”

For some reason, none of them, not even you, thought about that before.

Why?

Because making it in the kpop industry was fucking hard.

“Oh my god, you're living in one of the nicest areas in Seoul! She's right, they could be idols!”

And then they all suddenly started talking over the other, bombarding you with both questions, as well as theories of who they could be and all you could do was stare and.. get confused by it all.

Until you interrupted them.

“Guys,” you put up your hands, “I'm glad you're all so interested in my neighbors, but I don't know anything about them except for their names and that they like to order take-away at night. If they’re an idol group, I unfortunately don’t know who they are.”

For a moment they just looked at you.. and then they continued, completely ignoring what you just said.

You weren’t able to answer deeply personal questions, because, again, you barely knew the guys.

At one point your head just fell back against the wall behind you, closing your eyes as you let them talk and talk and talk..

What you thought would be a nice brunch date with your girlfriends ended up in them making conspiracy theories and you leaving early, alone, despite protests, because they all suddenly wanted to personally meet your new neighbors.

You were so ready for your bed, Netflix and not seeing or talking to anybody else today.

But of course that wasn't on the menu.

Of course you ran into the topic of today.

Or at least one of them.

“Oh, hey,” Byeongkwan entered the elevator one floor above the one you got on with a gym bag over his shoulder and a football under his arm.

“Oh.. you play?”

“Not as much as I'd like to,” he chuckled, “Don't have a lot of free time anymore.”

You were just about to reply when you got a message from one of your friends that you had met earlier. You were thinking about ignoring it at first, but then you saw a picture that made you look a little closer at the phone screen.

A picture that included the same man that was standing next to you right now, no doubt.

“Okay, I narrowed it down. There's only so many boy groups with only five members. Do you recognize any of them?”

“Holy shit,” your eyes widened.

Byeongkwan looked a little taken aback, you immediately apologizing, but then he just laughed.

“It's fine. Good news, I hope?”

Good news? Good news that you were – now confirmed – living next to an idol group? An active one? One that seemed to be doing kind of well, actually?

What kind of news even were that?

None that you were expecting, that's for sure.

Before Byeongkwan could peak, you quickly shoved your phone back into your pocket, bowed and then rushed out of the elevator and into your apartment with only a quick goodbye.

“Wasn’t that.. our neighbor?” Sehyoon furrowed his eyebrows, having just disposed of the trash, so he had seen you rush away from his band member without any context.

“She was fine a moment ago.. I don't know what happened,” the younger member shrugged.

“Maybe she imagined you naked and then realized it wasn't a nice thought,” Byeongkwan gently hit his members chest, both of them laughing as they walked back into their own apartment.

And while they were laughing, you were starting to panic, which you didn't want to because.. so what that you were living next to them? That shouldn't change anything, right? Why was that a big deal to you all of a sudden when you didn’t even know who they were five minutes ago?

Yeah, you could now say: 'I'm living next to idols', but that wouldn't be a good idea, or conversations like the one you had today with your girlfriends would be more frequent and you were not looking forward to that. Then people would start to get very nosy, would show up here not because of you, but because of them and you didn't want that.

This was their space, maybe the only place where they could feel normal, at home and fully safe.

No, you shouldn't do anything differently than before and you shouldn't feel any different towards them. You should treat them the same as before, should be as respectful as before and not let it show that you knew who they were..

They were people. Just like you.

But.. very talented people.

And you couldn’t help yourself but to turn on YouTube instead of Netflix tonight and look for their music.

And the moment the song started playing and you heard them sing, you smiled.. because you heard this before.. ever since you moved in, they’ve been singing this song.

They were working so hard, even in their free time, something that you could definitely confirm. But even if you weren’t living next to them and didn’t hear them practice all day long, it was clear from their dance videos and their performances.

They poured everything they had into their careers.

With a bit more digging, you found out that they maybe weren’t as big as some other artists or groups, but they still had a very loyal fanbase. And.. a really nice one from what you could see, that wasn’t always a given, unfortunately.

However, you never responded to your friend about what group it was. Whenever they’d ask, you’d answer that you didn’t know. Whenever they wanted to meet them, you said no.

Because there was no way you’d make them uncomfortable in any way, shape or form.

These boys were genuinely nice to you whenever you ran into them in the hallway, because you were nice and respectful towards them. These boys were practicing freely at home, because they knew nobody would record them and put it online. These boys were carefree here.. and you wouldn’t change that.

It was only a few months later that the topic of them being an idol group came up between you.

“Going to work?” you asked when you locked your door and saw all of them walking to the elevator.

“Yep. You too?”

“Yeah.. quite early, though, right?”

“We uh.. have a show tonight, actually,” Donghun was very careful with his words, but his members smiled encouragingly, “If you watch it.. cheer for us?”

And all you did was smile and reply: “Of course I will. You will do great.”

First BTS song? Dope. It stuck out to me in a kpop playlist I used when working out, and it got me looking up BTS.

First Bias? Jimin! When I was learning about BTS and who’s who I didn’t realize the Wings album was a lot of solo songs at first. Lie was one of my favorites out of the whole album. I watched BTS Run and I was instantly enchanted by him. So when I found out the singer and the endearing cute man were one in the same my fate was sealed.

Current Bias? Still Jimin! Stay back Taehyung haha.

Put the members in order of your bias list: It really depends on the moment. Jimin is the bias, then I was thinking for awhile I could triple bias with Jin and Yoongi, but the Taehyung wrecks all of that saying its him or nothing. When I went to the concert I couldn’t keep my eyes off Namjoon and Hoseok, their like my concert bias. Jungkook has to go in a special corner because I can’t handle him haha, I love him lots.

Favorite BTS song? This is so hard!! Going to go with DNA or Serendipity. DNA I find so much fun and Serendipity always helps me calm down and relax.

Favorite underrated BTS song? I never hear anyone talk about Look Here. It’s so fun sounding!

Favorite song of Wings? Lie

Yoongi - Literally all of them, he can pull anything off. Maybe Mint and Reddish Brown.

Hobi - Brown! His brown hair has so many shades, its beautiful.

Jimin - Blonde, Silver, and that coral type color he has going on

Taehyung - Same as Yoongi, literally anything and everything. Blonde and Red probably at the top.

Jungkook - I know this is hair color question but I’m just going to say his long hair style. That is a look. So I guess brown and black then haha.

Favorite choreography? Boy with Luv, its soooo cute and fun

Favorite (bromance) ship? Love Jin’s and Suga’s friendship. They always make me laugh. Honorary mention for Sope.

taehyun is genuinely so smart! i remember this one vlive where taehyun and huening were wearing little hats to cover their hair and a comment asked them to write something on the whiteboard and huening turned around before taehyun was like "nah man they're trying to trick us to look back" LOL so quick witted!

yeonjun is insanely attractively though!! i always find it hilarious when he'll flirt with a fan briefly and ppl are like "his photocard is sleeping on the couch tonight 😤" he's also super talented and he raps so well! beomgyu is really hilarious though! in his last vlive, he was choking on his tea and as he's coughing he's like "i'm.... i'm choking" like i can't with him!!

rollercoaster is such an amazing song! i think it is severely underrated and i think it's so cool that you've written an essay on it before! i bet it was brilliant :)) poppin' star is also such a fun song! it's so catchy and uplifting it's really nice to listen to on a nice, sunny day. whenever i go karaoke, i sing 0x1=love song and it's genuinely one of the best feelings so i get what you mean by yelling along to the lyrics!

my favourites in txt are beomgyu and soobin! i got into txt after a friend introduced cat and dog to me and then i started stanning them bc cat and dog is just iconic!

i know you mentioned being an amateur music producer, so what kind of other artists do you listen to aside from txt? do you listen to other kpop groups (whether that be gg's or bg's)?

Cat and dog IS so iconic! It’s so catchy and bright, and such a unique concept. It’s also kind of silly, which is one of my favorite things about txt—but they’re really talented actors, and they pull off serious concepts so well too! Multitalented kings 😤

Soobin is so funny. And tall 😳 I think if I ever ran into him somewhere I would just freeze. I’m often taller than or the same height as other people, so my brain wouldn’t be able to comprehend having to look that far up at somebody lmao

Hm, aside from txt, I like bts and I recently got into stray kids. I listen to tons of different stuff though! Especially around the holidays I start listening to a lot of jazz, haha. Bill Evans is my favorite jazz pianist. And there’s an alternative band called Pinegrove that I like; their lyrics are odd and don’t always make sense, but somehow they still manage to evoke this nostalgic, plainspoken feeling. Their song Old Friends is a perfect example.

Ok so today is my Birthdy (15!!) so I wanted to make an appreciation post of NCT because I love them very much and they were the first group to get me to Kpop!!

Ok lets start!

Taeyong - A great leader of NCT, Just imagine how hard it was for him to deal with all those bad rumors that were going on when they debuted, but he kept it in and even APOLOGIZED about it even though it was a fake rumor. He is really strong and great mom for dreamies. I wish I could meet him and hug him and tell him all of this ❤️ I Love you stay tack❤️

Taeil - Ummmm can he get please get appreciate more because I feel like he is very underrated and not love enough! I mean DID U HEAR HIM SINGING? Huh? huh?? Because his voice could literally melt someone ears, people who recorded NCT’s songs are blessed ok? And he is so beautiful yet not really expressing much, I hope he will be more open and comfortable, ❤️I LOVE YOU MOON TAEIL❤️

Johnny - Firts of all let’s all take a moment and think that this guy trained for 9 years where Jisung was ONLY 6 at that time BISH! Jaehyun - He lived in America for 5 years already! WHAAAT?! Ikr, anyways, can I just say that how handsome he is? Winwin - Winwin has Wonwon parts in 0mile which everyone is blessed. I just really want to talk about how brave it was for him to move to South Korea from China (KNOWING NO HANGUL) and joining SM, top 3 biggest companies. Just imagine, I’m waiting. His flip in fire truck still make me shook and can watch that part nonstop tbh, but I really do want him to get even more lines!! ❤️Winwin please keep on learning Hangul! Mark - Ok but how hard working he is do you know? Welp time to learn if you don’t; He is in 3 sub units, and he basically has been practicing this whole (2016/17) year. I mean he just turned 18 2 months ago and started rapping “Long ass ride” at 16, I am..speechless. I don’t have to mention this he is loved by everyone I mean come on how can you not like this any lion of sunshine? Right? And his rapping is just SO GOOD IM GONNA FLIP RN! ❤️MARK I LOVE YOU PLEASE CONTINUE TO BLESS US AND DO WHATEVER MAKES YOU HAPPY DEAR❤️

okay, so i legit have no idea who my bias is and i’m having a crisis over it

seokjin: man who wouldn’t love this guy? first off, very punny, and i absolutely love puns. second of all, loud and random and self confident which i wish i was. and third of all, freaking worldwide handsome like no joke-

next, yoongi: i relate to this guy so, so much. he plays piano really well, and i play piano, but not as good, he’s makes songs really well, and i also makes songs but also not as well, and he’s an ice cube on the outside but a softie on the inside. he’s gone through you-know-what, and i have too. every time i hear his name, i just get all fuzzy on the inside and ugh-

Jsuki; PRODUCE 101 Season 2 - Personal Final 11 Ranking

Lately, I've been really into this Korean idol show called "Produce 101". I'm usually very bent towards Japanese entertainment and idols, as you may be able to tell from this blog, but I had a few friends around me who strongly recommended this to me so I gave it a shot. It's safe to say now that I've fallen deeply into the PD101 pit XD

In a gist, 101 trainees from different entertainment companies (or even some with no companies), come together to compete and try to make it to the top 11. These top 11 ultimately get to debut together as a group, but it isn't easy. They participate in a series of performances, which challenge them on their vocals, dance and rap abilities, and also how they work with their team mates. Afterwards, fans and viewers will then get to vote for their favourites. As of right now, the next episode will cut down to the final 22 trainees. The top 11 will then be revealed on 16th June 2017, at a live finale show.

So here is my personal prediction of the final 11! Aside from my bias at No.1, everyone else is not in any particular order. Also, their ultimate ranking doesn't really matter as much to me; I just really hope to see these above boys make the group and debut professionally!

No.1 Lai Guanlin: At first glance, Guanlin looks a lot more mature than his age - He's talented in rap, he's visually captivating and he gets along extremely well with his friends on the show. He is also multilingual (Mandarin, English & Korean), and can play the piano. But Guanlin is just a boy of 15, originally hailing from Taipei, Taiwan, but who eventually moved to S.Korea to pursue his dream. Prior to this show, he only trained in Cube for 6 months. Guanlin is confident and he knows what he wants, but shows great respect towards his seniors and never fails to pitch in ideas that can help the group. Originally, while he struggles to grasp the Korean language and dance properly, you can tell he's always putting in 101% of his effort, and he wants to perform on stage. The top 11 cannot be without Guanlin.

No.2 Park Jihoon: A consistent and top performer, Jihoon is best known as the 'Winkboy', for his performance of 'PICK ME'. Right from the start, he holds a high rank and is crowned as Produce 101's 'visual center' (for his good looks), but that's never made Jihoon complacent in any way. He has high expectations for himself and strives every time to put on the best show possible. For me, he's the most well-rounded idol - From dancing to singing to his looks and mannerism, it's hard not to recognise that he's a true A-class trainee. I'm also very confident that Jihoon will make the final 11.

No.3 Yoo Seonho: The other half of the Cube duo, Seonho came into the competition alongside Guanlin. He's cute in every possible way, loves food way too much, and refers to himself as a 'chick trainee', but when on stage, he has an attractive aura that I think he doesn't even know himself. He also helps Guanlin with his Korean, and alongside, picks up bits of mandarin from him as well. Seonho can also play the piano, and he's just an adorable young boy (you cannot believe he was born in year 2002). I am desperate to see him and Guanlin debut together. Buy 1 get 1 free, that's them for me.

No.4 Kim Jaehwan: Jaehwan has never been the front-runner, but the moment he opens his mouth to sing, you'll feel that he should be. His recent performance in "NEVER" absolutely blew me away, and since the top 11 should definitely have a strong vocalist, I think Jaehwan should be that man. Off camera, Jaehwan is a practical selfie king, and he's just an overall cutie. It's just a bit sad that I feel he's rather underrated.

No.5 Park Woojin: Woojin was never my favourite in the start. He seemed like a powerful dancer, but otherwise, I never felt like he was very 'idol-y' and his looks don't beat that of people like Jihoon or Guanlin either. But this boy really, really grew on me along the way. He gets along so well with his team mates and in the latest episode, when he went around filming Jonghyun and Minhyun and Jaehwan, I thought he was just super cute. Despite getting hospitalised from shingles recently, Woojin still bounced back like a total pro. I'd say he's the dark horse of this competition for sure.

No.6 Kang Daniel: Do I even have to write about him? Daniel has been strong competition since the start, and his fandom is consistently growing, even more so after his latest performance of "Open Up" this week. Daniel has also been b-boying since junior high school too, and (since getting inspired by Jonghyun), he's been trying to be a leader, so he's not just an empty vassle with good looks. He also showed his affectionate side in the earlier episodes, as he cares for Lee Woojin like his little brother. Although he got into a bit of trouble for indirectly interacting with fans on his IG during the taping of the show, he apologised sincerely, so he's forgiven. I personally think he is a shoo-in for the final 11 as well.

No.7 Ong Seongwoo: (I'm always so confused if I should write his name as Seongwoo or Seungwoo or Sungwoo) But this boy is not only talented and good-looking, but also super hilarious! He's an A-class kid through and through, with his crazy dancing chops and infectious laughter, he's every group's mood-maker. The latest 'slate compilation' of him made me laugh so much too XD I think he really has everything it takes to make the top 11 cut.

No.8 Kim Jonghyun: The backstory for Kim Jonghyun, as well as Minhyun, Dongho and Minki, are that they're members from the debuted Kpop group, Nu'est. However, the group didn't do well and they landed in debt even, so after 6 years of professional training, they're now at Produce 101 to become trainees again. It's actually a very sad story (because their company, Pledis isn't very good). Jonghyun is like an absolute angel, which I learned from this show. He's leads his team and listens to his group mates, offering help and humbly accepting opinions, and that's not all he is. He also came in No.1 for Rap overall during one of the week's challenges, (which he was still extremely humble about.) Jonghyun is really a dedicated, top-performer, and if the final 11 has Jonghyun in it, we can trust that the team will have a wonderful leader as well.

No.9 Hwang Minhyun: Like Jihoon, I view Minhyun as a well-rounded, full-packaged idol. He checks all the boxes when it comes to vocals, dancing and outlooks, and he just has one of the greatest smiles. The only thing that's a bit lacking for me is that he's always taking a bit of a back seat, so I was happy when in the recent episode that he wanted to be center and he did so well in that role. He currently ranks 12th in the competition overall, and is safe till the top 11 is announced.

No.10 Lee Daehwi: I think Daehwi has been a stand-out, right from the very start. Not only did he flag himself as a composer (he composed 35 songs prior to this competition), he also composed and wrote his team's audition song, which impressed the judges. Later, he goes on to front the show's theme song, "PICK ME", and forms the 'Avengers' team (a team made out of all the most talked-about boys at that point of time) to perform BTS' "Boy in Luv". While he seems like an over-achiever, Daehwi is really a cinnamon roll in disguise. In the later episodes, he is seen accomodating to other team mates and showing different sides of himself in different songs, but he never lazes off and is always working hard. Despite his young age, Daehwi truly shows immense potential.

No.11 Kang Dongho: How can the Top 11 be complete without the 'sexy bandit'? Dongho is also one of the Pledis boys, and came into the show being shown like some oversized bear, ready to pounce on weaker members, but he is just a softie through and through. Dongho always tries his best to help struggling members, without ever being mean, and even stands up for them when he feels he has to. He's the true man amongst the men, and I think all the guys in the house respect Dongho (even Daehwi who is scared shitless by him XDD). Also, if you ever need someone to set things straight, teacher / mama / bodyguard Dongho is always on the standby.

My next pick if any of these 11 above don't make it: Jung Sewoon: For some reason, I always have a bit of a soft spot for Sewoon. He doesn't stand out like the other guys, with their handsome features and crazy dancing chops, but Sewoon has a sweet voice and whenever he sings, he makes it his own very naturally. I always wonder why he can't be a bit more popular, but I also guess he seems more like a bandman than an idol? Nevertheless, if Sewoon somehow makes the top 11, I'll really be quite happy too.

My next pick if any of these 11 above don't make it: Kim Samuel: Samuel was like that fallen member, whom nobody knew what happened. He was super outstanding during the first few weeks, making the A-class, 'Avengers' and 'Get Ugly' team, all of which featured front-runners in the competition, but then he suddenly slipped from 2nd to 16th, the most shocking drop of all. Samuel is multi-talented and excels especially in dancing, and we'll be seeing him in SEVENTEEN now, if not for the fact that he was too young to debut back then when they did. He's not really a favourite of mine, but I'll admit he works hard and for his age, his dancing chops are amazing. I'm praying his ranking goes up in the next elimination.

While us overseas folks can't quite vote, what we can vote on is the MABOY competition, where the boys will then receive gifts after they receive a certain amount of votes. The finale will air on Mnet on 16th June 2017 (Fri). It will be a live broadcast, which is estimated to end late. The airing time is currenly unrevealed yet.

Thoughts after BTS brought heaven down to Earth last night

First personal KPOP post ever after a thoroughly enoyable display of act of mercy by Bangtan in Chicago last night (2017/3/29). Jin: HOLY SHIT WHY IS HE SO UNDERRATED? The cameras do not do him justice. He is so... Just so unbelievably handsome. Husband husband husband material. And his voice. His solo. He killed it. He killed me. I'm writing this from my grave. Rapmon: Literally, every time he moves his mouth you can see the craters that are embodied by his face. He is so tall. He is so handsome. He is so thoughtful. So hardworking. So. Ugh, just the though of all his efforts makes me want to cry. JHope: Talk about born singer. JHope is literal sunshine. He glowed/glows. He was born for this. I was so blessed to just see him smile in rl. He's my official bias wrecker. There is literally nothing JHope cannot do. Hoseok for president. Suga, suga suga: Okay, talk about badass. How can a man so small, porcelain skin man have so much charisma? Like, badass mf just oozes off of him. And don't even get me started about his smile. Wow wow wow wow. I swear I only saw him smile once, but that was enough to feed me for the rest of my life. Jimin: okay. I always thought his thigh appreciation posts were a bit weird... But I definitely appreciate your thighs. He moves like liquid, like Jin said, he is literal dust. I just. I cannot deal with him. Like, I'm okay when he's standing, but then he starts to pick up his leg in a walk and I'm already dead. Even the way he walks is beautiful. Every movement is so balanced. I hate him. Jungkook: how does one even exist? His hip thrusts in person... Just what? His face is person... More what? The way he looks at Namjoon when Namjoon talks in English, just pure admiration, pure trust in his Hyung. Get you a man who looks at you like Jungkook looks at Namjoon. KIM FUCKING TAEHYUNG: The actual reason why I'm always in the verge of heartbreak. I love him so much. Seeing him last night was so surreal. I can't even talk about it because there are literally no words at how unbelievably complete he makes me. Honestly. Just seeing him cheese up on stage is enough for me. I don't even want to possess him I just want to protect him--a love so pure actually exists and it exists between KTH stans I swear. His happiness brings me life. And seeing him in person just 2639396291x confirmed it. I could write a entire novel on what I feel for this man and last night's performance.

Ramblings: Reflection

My 3 weeks of freedom is coming to an end in 3 more days.

The first week was filled with apprehension and anxiety as I busied myself with the thoughts of finding a part-time job right away before my internship officially starts. It seems that I had forgotten how tough it was to get a job. I sent several resumes and even had an interview however time was a cruel factor. After a few half-hearted attempt in securing a job, I realise that I would not get this opportunity again in the near future. The opportunity to just do nothing. To rest and relax after 3 years of monotonous and toxic environment, I can afford to rest for a mere 3 weeks, can’t I? So rest and relax I did.

In the second week, there were news of EXO’s grand comeback, and EXO’s official SNS were created. Rumors about teaser (and eventually official news of the teasers) started to arise. SM dropped individual teasers at 12am KST each night for their title track.

It was the beginning of my fangirl experience in comebacks. I was on twitter 24/7 and I think that I am an annoyance to my non-EXO twitter stans who had to see all my fangirling EXO tweets, so I am a little sorry about that. As this was my first comeback experience (EXO was my first ever kpop group I am obsessed with), I had no idea what to expect. So, I stayed up every night to wait for the new teaser alongside my twitter timeline that became frenzied every night an hour before it was released. The experience was in a word... fun. I had a sense of comradeship with my fellow EXO-Ls (although I don’t have any common mutuals -- I usually tweet and talk to myself loll). But I had a great time reading, liking and retweeting. The best part was 5 minutes before the teaser. Everyone in the timeline was filled with anticipation and excitement so it’s so easy to fall into the delirium as well.

Kai was the first member in the teaser. Even though I had been excited just a minute before, when the teaser opened with the catchy tune, my heart dropped. Kai had dreads. Disappointment mixed with adoration. Kai looked so cute as always but he had dreads. My stand on it is that it is cultural appropriation and that it is not right for those not in the African culture to have it. Some don’t share my view but I think it is still wrong. He had dreads during the Wolf era as well and he did not like it so why now? Many (including me) defended him saying that the stylist/SM were the ones who forced it upon him. However, now we know that Kai was the one who requested for the hairstyle which disappointed me even more. He needs to be educated about this and some EXO-Ls had planned to do so. Hope that the message will reach him and he will be more knowledgeable about it and hopefully he would stopped wearing that hairstyle.

Baekhyun was next. The first thing that I did was to laugh at his hairstyle. But as time goes by, I think he pulls off the mullet really well. I fell in love right away with the song in his teaser, Forever. Kyungsoo’s line “Don’t break my soul...” was a clincher.

There were many theories of whose teaser it will be the following night. Some said it was in alphabetical order, some said it followed the old songs order, some said it was the appearance in the teaser of the previous member. The last theory proved to be right (well, only for the first few nights). Chanyeol was the one to appear in the teaser. I loved his cotton candy hair. I love any hair that is bright. Chanyeol look so handsome in the teaser. The song Chill was awesome too.

Sehun came next and he looks good as always. He had grown on me over time. I always look forward to him when he is in variety shows. He has that natural entertainment sense. Anyway, he was amazingly badass in the teaser. His chest was covered with tattoos and his gaze was intense. I was like, woahhhh the maknae has grown up!

The next night was Suho. I love Suho and his awkwardness. But there were no traces of awkwardness in his teaser. He looks dashing even in the various weirdly-styled outfit and his centre-parted mob of hair; both fits him perfectly. Suho is very princely and he has that royal aura surrounding him. As expected, that is our leader with high ranked visuals.

We were left with my top 3 biases: Kyungsoo, Xiumin, Chen & Lay. I know now that Lay is not in the comeback, but back then, I still had that tiny hope that he would appear the last night or something. Anyways, I was still so grateful and happy that SM saved my favourite boys for the last.

The next night was Xiumin. Wow. I was so speechless by his ethereal beauty. Is Minseok even real? As I have posted often here on Tumblr (LOL), Xiumin is my bias wrecker. I just can’t keep my eyes of him in the teaser. He has that gentle and feminine look that I adore so much, yet he is manly (do I make sense?). He is just so so beautiful. His eyes is his best feature. With his black comma hairstyle, (let’s face it he can dye his hair in any colour and he still look gorgeous) he was the most good-looking out of all the members by far. Of course, EXO has no visual hole (everyone is so very extremely handsome) and this is just my personal opinion anyways. Xiumin is just so underrated sometimes and I just want to shake everyone and tell them to look at that beauty and talent and intelligent human being and stop sleeping on him. His vocal is one of the top in EXO but he was still overlooked. I’m so glad that SM gave him more chance to shine with Young and Free and also The War album. So proud of you my darling, beautiful Minseok.

Chen came next. Different from the other nights, I watched the teaser late because I was not home. The first thing when I got data was to check who was next HAHA. This level of dedication (or obsession) surprise even me. Anyway, it was the vocalist who slays high notes in EXO, Chen. I like Chen’s personality. He even bleached his hair for the first time just for this album. That is dedication. I always like idols with blonde hair as I find them good-looking and Jongdae was no exception. he looks so good in the teaser.

And then who do we have left? Yes, it is my ult bias in EXO, D.O, Do Kyungsoo. Out of all the members, I like his voice the most (yes I may be slightly biased). I like everything about him. I like that he is shy outside, but his stage presence is amazing. I like that he is passionate about both his singing and acting. I like that he is a man of few words, but when he talks, everyone cracks up. I like that even though he is physically small, he is a manly man. I like his smile, I like his hair. I like his loyalty because even though he has acting commitments, he drops everything for EXO. I like him so so much. In the teaser, he smiled so gently, it feels like he is my boyfriend. In this album, I like that he has a lot of parts because i like his singing voice. You know how you like someone and you like everything about them but you cannot also point out specifically what you like about them because you are afraid you will miss out on something? Yeah, that’s how I feel about Kyungsoo. I just... like him as a person. I admire him so much.

Even though I have biases in EXO, I love each and every member too. They are talented and popular, yet they remain humble and polite and down-to-earth. They were met with so many challenges but even so, they are still one. Their gratitude towards the fans are what made us EXO-Ls stay and what makes them still relevant imo. I hope Lay will join them in the repackage album!!!

Anyway, the group teaser of Kokobop was released night after Kyungsoo’s and then the MV the day after. I love the song. I love the whole The War album. I love how EXO feels so excited about this album because they were involved in the making thus making them attached to it. The MV itself needed some time to get used to because there were slight drug references in it. The first time I watched, I had already picked up on the not-so-subtle cues that they were high on drugs lol (don’t do drugs kids). But I may have overreacted and think too much as well. I don’t know. Baekhyun explained they were aliens sent to Earth (in reference to previous MVs). The filmography was amazing though.

They then had Vlive and everyone was so funny and cute omg especially Kyungsoo’s freestyle dance to Touch It. HAHAHA that ahjussi. The most exciting schedule that they have and that I am looking forward to would be their appearance in Knowing brothers. I am a Knowing Brothers maniac so having two of my faves set of people meet is the best thing a fangirl can get.

Their first live performance of Kokobop was just tonight and it was amazing. The dance, the vocal, the visual were top notch. I like the starting and the dance break part the best.

And they performed The Eve too. Wow. It has a sensuous feeling to it. HAHA. I am barely explaining it but the whole album is that way so yeah. (I want to see this live lol. I attended Exor’dium concert where they performed Artificial Love and woah what an incredible experience).

Anyway, my point of this entry (before I could stop myself from writing an essay about EXO) was that EXO unintentionally became my project during these 3 weeks break. I experienced how it was like becoming a full-time fangirl and it was an amazing and fun experience. I foresee myself not having the luxury of committing this much time and effort in the future due to internship and work commitment hence these 3 weeks had been an enriching and novel experience in its’ own way. I believe that everything happened for a reason. EXO’s comeback just happened to be at the time where I have no commitment and for that, I am utterly grateful.

I will be cherishing my last 3 days and giving full support towards my boys whose rival is their 2016 self (as wisely said by Minseok). I will be like them and constantly try to improve myself as well.

This had been really fun. I will miss this feeling.
