A Little Goncharov for Thanksgiving

I learned about Goncharov the way I learn about most memes and pop culture, from my teenagers. In the days leading up to Thanksgiving, we had a group chat spring up on Discord that included two family friends who were going to be joining us for the holiday from out of town. One of the topics of conversation turned to Goncharov, the imaginary film around which an active Tumblr fan community had sprung up, as if it had been a real, little-known cult classic from 1973 made by Martin Scorsese.

It became a fun creative exercise—in the middle of the day, one of the kids would send a question about Goncharov: “What do you think about the relationship between Katya and Sofia?” or “What did you make of the clock tower imagery?” or “Goncharov… iphone or android guy?” To which someone else would playfully answer.

This same kind of thing was happening on a massive scale on Tumblr, where artists created movie posters and promotional materials, composers posted songs and soundtracks, people posted deleted scenes and script fragments. There are reviews and academic papers, fictitious Wikipedia and IMDb listings, and A LOT of fan art.

Lynda Carter posted a photo on her Tumblr with Henry Winkler that she captioned, “Me and ‘The Fonz’ at the premiere of Goncharov (1973) at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.”

Discussions popped up about the characters and who would play them in the reboot. Posts were shared hundreds, then thousands of times. A Goncharov (1973) Lore Google Doc and Discord server were created to help keep the content organized.

Our family’s fan-favorite character was Ice-Pick Joe, so I wrote “Musings on Ice-Pick Joe” in between chopping veggies for stuffing and waiting for the sweet potatoes to roast, complete with some AI-generated art. That was four days ago, and the post has been liked and shared more than I anticipated, and I keep thinking about why that is.

Conversations around Goncharov have continued, and I find myself wondering what it is about this moment in time and this type of activity that continues to capture so many people’s imagination and engagement?

Tumblr is a hub for public fandom culture and community in a way that the other social media platforms are not. It’s where you can find discourse and fanfiction/fanart for almost anything.

Still, this is a little different and on a much larger scale. At a time when people are looking for Twitter alternatives, with the stress and joy of holidays approaching, what is drawing so many people in?

We talked about this over Thanksgiving: the way Goncharov allowed people low-stakes permission to create, to play to their particular strengths, to connect with other people, to escape reality for a moment, to build a new community. We talked about the shortcomings and challenges we saw: power dynamics, issues of race, etc.

It’s an evolving experiment, and as such, it has been shaped by the many variables involved and course-corrected each time someone notices a gap or opportunity: What would a musical look like? What if some of the actors had gone on Sesame Street or the Muppet Show? What if Gonzo played Goncharov and Miss Piggy played Katya? What would the remake look like set in 1980s NYC? What recipes might be created for the Goncharov cookbook? (I remember how much fun we had making the Forking Good cookbook.) There really is no end to what people can come up with. I’m waiting to see if Goncharov gets a Tom Gauld comic or a mention on Saturday Night Live.

It seems relevant that role-playing games, both online and tabletop, have recently increased in popularity. Dungeons and Dragons was the cornerstone of Stranger Things, and 50,000 people attended Gen Con (tabletop game convention) in 2022. It’s not my world, although I’ve watched the joy my kids take in it. My energy goes into writing, but I can absolutely appreciate the fun of playing together.

As a writer, I walk around with worlds in my head, but I don’t get to share them until they get published. Something like Goncharov, which was not an intellectual property “owned” by anyone, gives people permission to imagine and play.

I think it speaks to a need we have an human beings to experience connection, joy, wonder, and hope. We've always had those needs. People have been gathering around fires or tables, telling stories, for thousands of years.

Today, the hearth may be a computer or a phone, but the desire is not that different. My November began with the publication of Mother Christmas, my graphic novel, the secret origin of the Santa Claus story which is rooted in the ancient Muses, whose gifts inspire humanity. One of the questions my story attempts to answer is: Where does inspiration come from?

If we look at Goncharov we can see that inspiration comes from so many places. So much is possible when people given themselves permission to play, to shrug off the inner critics and outer trolls, and to imagine for a moment a different world that they have a part in creating. That is such a powerful and compelling idea.

Stories remind us that we are not alone, that we share struggles, and that we can overcome obstacles. There are so many challenges in the world right now.

Maybe Goncharov is a lens through which people are seeing themselves and each other, reminding us how much fun it is to make-believe and how powerful it can be to have a shared image of the world.

The first step in creation is imagining. Exercising that muscle, allowing ourselves to play and tell stories and make art is a worthwhile one, and I think it's one that we need to survive. The Goncharov phenomenon gives me hope, because if we can have this many people put their energy into creating a whole world around Goncharov, just imagine what else is possible?

Last Song: well I've been listening to a Playlist while I've been Working on this so I'll hand you Two: started writing to Sleep Walking Orchestra (Bump of Chicken) and ended on Nonsense Bungaku (Eve)! Both are solid imho hahaha. The first is the opening to the Dungeon Meshi anime (very solid and fun show. Oooo you want to watch it so bad) and the 2nd is the Result of me going on an Eve deep dive a couple months back lol

Favorite Color: I'm fond of actually. A Lot of shades of blue tbh! Aquamarine, Peacock Green/Teal, and Indigo are some particular shades that come to mind. I also love Raspberry/Wine red!

Last Book: hmmm let's see the last time I read A Book was Little Thieves by Margaret Owen! It's a retelling of the fairy tale The Goose Girl from the perspective of the maid who stole the princess's identity and its hella good if you like that good good folk fantasy magic!

Last Movie: uhhhHHHHH I Think??? It was Your Name? No wait it was Astro Boy (2009) with a friend of mine because we were reminiscing about nostalgia and realised we both remembered watching and enjoying it but not remembering Anything about the plot lmao. The pacing was like 500 mph but the animation aged pretty darn well! Storywise Defo had potential and I'm always a sucker for taking the sand a story was made of and seeing what kinds of castles could have been built

Last TV Show: Pluto on Netflix. Oh my god. Just watched Ep 6 last night and I'm ready to Not Be Normal (have not been normal since ep 1 but that's besides the point). Defo the kind of show that is to be Savored I Don't recommend binge watching it space out those 8 1 hr long eps so you can properly appreciate and process it. It's good I highly recommend it if you're into a good sci fi fantasy! How many sad dads can a singular mini series have. The answer is Yes

Sweet/Spicy/Savory: I tend to prefer Sweet>Savory>Spicy! I Do have A Spice Tolerance to some extent, but if given the choice I tend to prefer it light! (My Sweet tolerance is actually pretty pitiful but that doesn't stop me from eyeing all the pretty cakes and candies LMAO)

Relationship Status: I have Two Hands and I'm using them both for tax fraud >:'D

Last Thing I Googled: 'Shinji in Chair Meme' (searching for a reaction pic to send to a friend wrt ^Pluto)

Current Obsession: in case you haven't guessed already. Not being Normal about Pluto ncsvdjf. I'm also super into Kirby and the My OCs fandom (always rotating my and my buddies' OCs in the cranium condominium all the time all the time)

Looking Forward to: finally digging into and clearing out the sheer Mountain of WIPs I have accumulated :') holiday stressors are now over which means I can get working! (I am sincerely excited bc I've been looking forward to seeing some of them completed for a long long time hahaha) also got some future cosplans in the works! We'll see what comes out of it! 👀

My Highlights of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2023

Well it's time to open the door again as AEW and NJPW put on another big card PPV

Last year it was perhaps one of the best PPVs of the year, let's see how this one holds up

Spoilers for the Show

Zero Hour

Despy reluctant to participate in Chaos' Best Friendsery, including the hug

As much as I'd have loved it on the main card, it's such a big deal that AEW put Billie Starkz on a PPV show match, for a tournament, against Athena! And she held her ground

Also if you haven't been watching Athena on ROH, fix that she is practically the company's Ace

ELP's LED J A C K E T

It goes understated just how crisp both Stu and ELP are respectively, Stu never got much time because Dark Order are always set to lose while ELP is best known now for his chicanery but they are very good at the wrestling

Not only did Bryan beat Okada, he submitted Okada! Don't think anyone expected that

Conclusion

There were high expectations going into Forbidden Door, but if anyone tries to tell you that it's a 'two match card' feel free to slap them, because they'd probably jizz over the one Bloodline match per PPV and call it the best thing ever. This PPV had its downsides for sure, a lot of weak finishes - a couple maybe done due to injuries or Sting feeling a little loopy - so it didn't come out to its full potential, but it was still a really good night for wrestling.

I would still say in spite of everything it was still a success, but I also feel like AEW and New Japan need to consider making it a 2-Day event to fit more talent on the show, we still lacked names on AEW's side like FTR, HoB, Acclaimed, BCG (if they wanted to come on I'm not sure how Jay feels about using FD as a loophole), Miro, Ethan, Dark Order, PAC, Keith Lee, TNT Champion Christian I mean Luchasaurus, Wardlow, Samoa Joe, and names on NJPW's side like Bullet Club, GoD, Alex Zayne, Nagata, Team Filthy, Bishamon, Great O Khan, Toru Yano (let Yano and Mox face off you cowards!), Master Wato, and KUSHIDA, and this is not even bringing up all the women we could've used - which frankly, we should try to schedule an All-Women's crossover PPV with Stardom featuring DDT/TJPW, AEW/ROH and maybe even other companies' talents.

But I digress, a lot of match finishes were poor but a lot of the wrestling in matches were enjoyable, I had fun and we set up some new directions and potential rematches down the line.

Match of the Night: This is probably gonna be controversial to some but I felt that the 10 Man Tag was the best of the night. Omega/Ospreay and Okada/Danielson were really good, but they also took time to get going, and I do prefer a high-energy wrestling match to a slower technical bout. Best Attire: Tetsuya Naito, man looks like he stepped out of a masquerade party and since SANADA is just his 'regular guy' persona rather than the cold skull and we had no extended Omega attire he's really the only choice. Best Performance: I want to give it to Eddie for carrying the emotional weight of the 10-man, I also want to give it to Punk for being a proper shithouse to a mixed crowd, I also really want to give it to Danielson for wrestling a clinic with a fractured arm, but I do have to give it to Omega and Ospreay as a tie they wrestled their butts off Spot of the Night: As much as I still love Takeshita decking Ishii, it's Omega kicking out of the OWA at 1

I'm new to Tumblr and I came for the memes and the meta (a new term I just learned about since to me this was all analysis) of KinnPorsche. Like everyone else in the fandom, I don't know what to do in between episodes so this seemed like a good idea.

I came to Tumblr during Not Me area so while not new to the BL world, new to Tumblr. I was not familiar with the word meta either and still tend to call it analysis so we are kindred spirits.

Oh yay!! I'm so glad you like the posts. They are fun to write so I am always tickled that other people enjoy reading them. 💜💜💜

I honestly, naturally fell into the kink community. I always had a very natural tendency to dominate which did not serve me well in the deep south. Let me tell you. Men do not appreciate a Dominant female and at a young age, I didn't know how to fight back. Then I ran into a switch that changed my life.

I got my dream job working at a book store, and I notice this glorious ass from a mile away. As I get closer to this 8th wonder of the world, I hear her talking. Somebody had told her to move and she is replying "I'll move when I move, nobody appreciates my ass" and me being who I am, smacked the ever living fuck out of that bent over ass and she looks over at me "and now you ruuuuuuub" and that is how I fell into the kink community and never looked back.

She guided me through everything. Introduced me to the community, people, showed me how to walk and talk like a Dom. We have been soul spirits for going on 18 years. When someone talks about getting into the community, I always suggest finding a mentor. Go to your local kinkster website and find the older female Dom/sub and ask for guidance. They are your safest way in. Make sure to do your research and know who you are because it's best that you pick a mentor that matches you. There will be kinks that you are going to want to avoid, not every kink is for everyone and therefor you need the person who matches as closely to you as possible.

Now I admit to having a small circle of people in real life I've known for years. The occasional New Orleans dungeon but alas most of it is online cause kids. I've expanded again thanks to Tumblr!! Hope this was helpful, please let me know if I can answer any other questions. 💜💜💜

Started following you back in the day for your darkest dungeon stuff, and the fact that we arrived into the pathologic fandom nearly at the same time makes me so happy.

Your art, (especially the memes and shitposts) always used to be my favorites, and they honestly still are to this day. Thank you so much for being one of the best artists in two of the biggest fandoms tha gave me very severe brainrot. I can very happily say that every time you post, you provides me with that extra bit of dopamine needed to get through even the rougher days.

last night i finished twilight princess for the first time and i have a LOT to say about it...

i didn't grow up with twilight princess like i grew up with the other zelda games. i don't remember why i didn't pick it up back in the day – some combination of tone and timing, i guess? – but i played every other zelda i could get my hands on, 2d and 3d alike.

it wasn't until college that i picked up a gamecube copy, stopped right after twilight kakariko village, and never returned to it. the pace of the game's opening areas is GLACIAL, and despite me actually liking the twilight areas, i didn't really gel with much else.

so i didn't have strong expectations when i returned to the game a couple weeks ago. i knew the game's tone was extremely 2006, i knew i'd have to be patient with the game's pacing, i'd heard the memes about it being Ocarina But More, and not much else.

now that i'm finished, i'm happy to report that i'm utterly FASCINATED by both the game's strengths and by its flaws. every good thing that the game does is accompanied by a major setback, usually due to sticking too hard to the zelda series's roots in the process.

like how the game's coolest ideas are punctuated by pacing issues – for example, the second dungeon's magnetic floors make for such incredible dungeon design! but they require the iron boots, and walking around the entire ceiling of a room in iron boots is SO FREAKING SLOW

or how hyrule field is scaled up for horseback travel, which in turn makes traversing on foot slow and monotonous... so they added warps, which you can only use as a wolf, which you can't switch to around people, which makes getting around needlessly complicated???

i was really surprised at how much i like the game's tone. i do love majora, it's my favorite 3d zelda, but twilight princess always seemed like it'd be 2006 gritty grimdark to me. far from it; the tone is tasteful and never takes itself too seriously.

but the biggest surprise to me personally is this: every other 3d zelda game is pretty unique in terms of structure, tone, and added mechanics.

by comparison, twilight princess sits almost exactly halfway between oot and botw. it's the missing link i never knew existed!!

so much of what twilight princess iterated or added beyond oot was then iterated further in botw. big things like the expanded overworld emphasizing horses and warps, but also little things like bomb arrows, bug collecting – even snowboarding, which led to shield surfing!

it blows my mind how much these games share dna beyond the obvious zelda tropes; it gave me more appreciation for the development history of the series, how everything led to what we have now. honestly, twilight princess has me more hyped to play botw2 than botw1 itself ever did!

twilight princess also gave me more appreciation for what oot did right that didn't really make it to the other 3d zeldas, things i'd forgotten since it's been so long since i last played – or maybe things that twilight princess leaned too much into that oot did more tastefully.

it may seem like i'm ragging on twilight princess at this point – i'm not, i promise! the game does a lot right, like having some of the best dungeons in the series, some fascinating (if underutilized) new items, and, uh, pretty much everything relating to Wolf Link and Midna

but like light casting shadows, the game's strengths betray its own weaknesses – and in the broader context of the series, it creates a fascinating contrast that shines new light on why i love these games in the first place. a 10/10 experience, even if the game itself isn't.

I have no concept of a consistent social life or media presence, so I just post whatever and whenever I want to, usually mid afternoon for me because that's my time to Survive™ my day to day stressors. Whatever hits my dopamine reserves just right will probably end up here!

I am a self taught artist who only really picked up on certain techniques and styles in recent years, I have quite a few inspirations for the directions my art is going in and I actually adore how my style(s) look right now! Which is good because it's a lot of work maintaining and improving all the time-

I mostly indulge in art and writing of my OCs, and the occasional fan art here and there when I'm in a particular mood, and everything (I would hope) is made with the love in my heart for my creations, from the 6+ hours of work on a digital piece to maybe a 10 min sketch of my OCs smooching from the confines of my canvasses.

We can ignore the musician part for now, at this time I haven't really delved too deep into making my own tunes aside from some really rough drafts, but eventually I will! I am a sucker for orchestral pieces, but I need to relearn music theory-

Answer for 6:

I love how his velvet room is different than the others since it’s more darker with all of the execution things located in it. It is a prison after all but something with the iron maiden in Strikers or the guillotine in the original game makes it stand out much more than the other rooms for the previous guests and yes this even means Persona 1 and Persona 2.

Akira and his friends getting outfits instead of the traditional school uniforms in the dungeons is also really neat. I always found it odd that the party members would just waltz into a weird realm and not wear anything to somewhat protect themselves or their identity. Having an outfit even helps the game’s rival have an advantage in the beginning of the set up because Goro would had been recognizable without his black mask getup.

I have what is called a gamer’s back so I slouch a lot and I find it neat to have a main character such as Akira always having a spine problem just like me. It made me have a connection with a character that is a silent protagonist because the nuance made it feel more believable.

For me, I think reblogging everyone’s promos, despite quality should happen. I know mine aren’t the best or someone else’s too that may not have any skill to make it look more professional but we still did put some effort into them. If you see someone reblog a promo, do them a solid and reblog it. No harm done and it gets their blog out there since the tags are full of literal ads, which can be hard for a blog to be seen out there. So yeah, be kind and nice for those who are struggling to find some new people to interact with. I sure appreciate it and those others blogs do as well when people reblog our promos.

Ryuji & Sonia.

How did they meet?: In our default verse, they first meet at the convenience store Ryuji works at! Sonia quickly becomes his favorite regular.

Who flirted with who first?: I think that after a long time, Ryuji would start to take the initiative and try to make more active and intentional attempts to flirt with her.

Was it love at first sight or a slowburn romance?: A simmering, slow cooking ship that’s still burning as we speak.

Did they start dating right away or were they friends before things became romantic?: ...They were definitely friends for a quite a long time at first - there was no rushing with these two.

What was their first date?: If memory serves, in a recent thread Ryuji just asked Sonia out for the first time - I’ve always headcanoned their first date as being at that buffet place he first goes to after the Kamoshida dungeon. He definitely saves up quite a few pay cheques to ensure that they can enjoy a few hours there.

What are their favourite things to do on date nights?: Chatting, talking about each other’s cultures, listening to each others’ stories.

Do they still go on dates after being together for a while?: I think so.

What is their love language?: Well, one thing I’ve always loved about them is that they never judge each other - they both have had time to recognize that the other has their quirks and while they may not agree on everything, I feel like at their core, they really try to understand each other and appreciate the other for exactly who they are. There is no judgment or shame between them.

Who kissed who first?: Ryuji would probably be the one to initiate the first kiss.

Who started the relationship?: I think Ryuji would also be the one to suggest making things ‘official’ although he’d be very nervous about doing so, as he doesn’t really know much about royalty dating protocol or if they’d even be ‘allowed’ to date.

Are they/do they plan on getting married?: He definitely thinks about it, but it’s something that he also feels that he can’t take lightly - Sonia is a princess and might not even be able to marry just a regular guy like him. He thinks about if often but is hesitant to suggest it.

Who proposed? Was it a yes or a no?: Well, as a subversion toward Ryuji’s earlier forwardness and his own apprehension - I think a Sonia proposal - or at least, her being the one to vocalize the idea would be cute.

Do they want kids? Who brought it up first?: I feel like it’s something they’d both bring up together - kids are another thing Ryuji is hesitant about since they wouldn’t just be his kids, they’d be royal or half-royal kids, so he’d feel a lot of pressure about it.

Do they already have kids, together or from previous relationships?: No.

Do they have any routines/rituals in their relationship?: They try to make it a habit to spend every major holiday together - eating cup noodles and watching the New Years fireworks, getting hot chocolate at Christmas, going to any and every major festival around. He tries to spend as many of his days off as he can with Sonia.

How do they take care of each other when they are sick/hurt?: Admittedly I don’t know much about Sonia but I get the sense they both wouldn’t be great nurses but they try their best and it is the thought that counts.

How do they like to spend time together?: There’s no one specific thing, they enjoy each other’s company no matter what they’re doing.

What are some of their favourite things about their partner?: He honestly loves how Sonia can speak so casually about her own royalty without a hint of smugness or looking down on anyone else. She is a princess and yet she is more down to earth and grounded than most adults he’s met in Tokyo. He appreciates that she has a humble heart and a good mind.

How do they comfort their partner when they’re upset?: He just holds her close.

Who buys the other spontaneous gifts?: They’re both good at it.

What position do they sleep in?: On their sides facing each other, Ryuji’s arms around her waist.

Do they do anything else in the bath/shower other than wash?: He lets Sonia play with and wash his hair.

In the bedroom - Vanilla, a little spice, or kinky af?

Okay okay now again

Sorryyy it took me so long. But here I am again, this time with Felix. Dear god I really hope it’s as fluffy as I want it to be.

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

He’s definitely amongst the more affectionate members. I honestly can’t even tell if he’s the most affectionate, the most affectionate with another member or the second/maybe third or second together with another member most affectionate of them, but he’s really affectionate.

When you’re with him, you should expect some of the most creative date ideas and while not too expensive, you won’t forget them. He also wouldn’t be shy showing his affection towards you in front of others. The opposite is the case! He’d WANT to show others how much he loves and adores you.

So if you’re fine with it, you can expect a lot of PAD when you’re with him. But there would still be a lot just between you two. I don’t see him as the kind of person to go out with you in public places like restaurants, but as the person to plan something just as fun (or even more fun) on a less visited place, so you can be just with each other.

B = Besties (How would they be like as a Best Friend?)

Absolutely fun best friend. You would play a lot of video games together and whether just kill each other and not play seriously, or you’d play in one team and make the best team ever. Since he’s a good gamer, I can see him as someone who guides you through dungeons and shows you what items to use.

But if anyone DARES to hurt your character or talk shit about you (online gaming community is terrible oof), he would absolutely destroy them. Well that or if they’re friendly but kill your character, he would laugh about you and eventually avenge you after some time.

Also if you can’t agree on something, you would play about who’s right. But a game where both of you have a chance like Uno or other card games or Pokémon Showdown. (Before you say something, you can play with randomized teams in showdown and sometimes you can be the best Pokémon player ever and play against a newbie, but if you have a terrible team and the other one has a great team, you can’t win.)

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

Bold of you to assume you’ll even spend time with him without cuddling. Nah, I’m kidding. He’s a big Teddy and would love to hold you or to be held by you almost all the time, but he isn’t gonna be too clingy since he knows that you need space in a healthy relationship. The way he cuddles would be holding you close. When you’re laying down, you would look at each other while holding each other or if he feels like it, he would want you to lay on his chest. But at the same time he also has lots of phases where he just wants to lay his head on your lap and have you pet him.

Or of course…

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

Just like Seungmin, maybe one day but not yet. He also would love to own a small apartment in Australia or where you’re from since it’s his home after all, but he wants you to feel home as well. Felix is GREAT at cooking as we all know. He would constantly spoil you with good food. I don’t know about cleaning, but I can see him making a similar agreement with you like Seungmin did, just reversed. Aka he cooks and you clean or you guys clean together or something. He doesn’t want to put you in a role that you don’t wanna be in, so if you don’t wanna do the cleaning, he will understand and do it for you sometimes or do it together with you since, come on, he can’t do everything by himself.

E = Early (How would they be like in the morning?)

Very sleepy and cuddly. If it’s not too late, expect him to just lay around with you for a little longer. He would want to cuddle in the morning before getting up to wake up properly. But once he’s feeling like he could get up, expect a delicious breakfast. He would ask you if you’re craving something specific and make that for you, or if you just want anything, he will come up with something good himself.

I can also see him as the person to check social media in the morning while still laying around. He would probably look at memes or read some of their comments, but if he’s still really tired, he would just want to cuddle up to you and close his eyes again.

Also his morning voice?? God you’re in for a treat. He would say “Good morning” whenever he notices you’re awake in his raspy morning voice, or if you’re still asleep but need to wake up, he will do the “Wakey wakey, Wake up sunshine” thing we all hopefully remember.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

He would love it! Not so quickly of course, but he would think it’s cute if you would make subtle allusions about marriage and if he feels like you want it, he would propose to you. But it’s not so important to him. In his eyes, love doesn’t need a title and if he doesn’t feel like it’s important to you either, he would just be together with you and show you the exact same form of love and appreciation every day like he would if you married.

However, if you want to marry him, you’d have to be together for at least over a year or else he would feel like he’s rushing things a bit, since even if he loves you and doesn’t think about ever breaking up with you, it’s a big thing and you should definitely take your time before going such a big step.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Felix is an absolute Gentleman! You better expect him to stroke your back whenever he hugs or holds you, because that’s absolutely what he’s gonna do! He will hold your hand, intertwine fingers or kiss your hand really often.

He would also be emotional very gentle by asking you how you’re doing regularly, but he doesn’t really need it since he senses when something’s not okay with you, no matter how hard you try to act like you’re fine. But he would never force you into talking to him, he would just make sure that you know he’s there for you by hugging you or sweet talking to you or baking cookies or something for you. (Btw when I said sweet talking I meant the genuine kind, not the “I’ll compliment you to make you do something for me” kind)

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

He would almost always have an arm around you. He loves hugs and appreciates every single one of them, regardless of if you’re the one that came to hug him or if he’s allowed to hug you. He’s just really happy to hold you.

His hugs aren’t tight, but still feel really good and warm. He wants to show you that he always has and loves you, but that you’re allowed to do things without having him be overprotective or jealous. His hugs also would result in cuddles most of the time by him just rubbing his head on you or something like that.

So you could absolutely feel his love in his hugs.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

I can see him saying it pretty quickly actually. But that doesn’t mean that the words aren’t strong to him or mean less, he’s just a very emotional person who is certain about his feelings. And once he starts saying it, he will remind you of it all the time. You wouldn’t go a day without hearing those words from him and whenever you say you love him back, his heart will skip a beat. It doesn’t matter how often you say it or how long you’re already together, these words will always keep him going and always affect him in a very special way.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

He isn’t the jealous type. Not as long as he still feels your love towards him. He knows that you need space and that you can be affectionate towards your friends and he doesn’t mind, as long as you’re not crossing a line, like kissing them on their lips.

But if he gets jealous, he wouldn’t talk to you about it. He doesn’t wanna make you feel trapped or something, so he tries to convince himself that it’s not a big deal to him, while it clearly is. However, when you talk about it, he wouldn’t try to keep it all inside and seriously talk to you about it.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Very soft but passionate kisses. He would take things slowly, no tongue, just very lovely and soft kisses. I feel like he would kiss you very often and play with your hair while doing so. Also I kinda see his kisses as Disney kisses? You know, the way the prince kisses the princess to save her from the curse? xD

Yea I kinda see his kisses like that. You can feel or taste his emotions when he kisses you, since he puts his everything in the kiss. He loves kisses on the lip, regardless if it’s you who’s kissing him or if he kisses you. He just absolutely loves your lips and wants to feel them on his own lips. But I also see him as someone who would kiss your hand and would love having you kiss his collarbone. But whatever it is, he would go really slow and kiss you softly.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

Can we agree that all of Stray Kids are great with kids? Well anyways, Felix would play a lot with them, video games and card or board games. Or things like Hide and Seek as well! He would just love playing with children and would be very cute while doing so. I think the children wouldn’t see him as an adult either, but rather as one of them (in a good way of course) and he would just do anything with the kids. I think they would trust him really quickly and tell him their innocent little secrets.

M = Meeting (How would you meet them?)

In an online gaming lobby. As I already said, online gaming lobbies are the worst. How is anyone supposed to enjoy the game when you’re playing against toxic people? You can’t. Especially in popular games, the lobbies are filled with racists, pedophiles, homophobes, salty losers, cheaters, hackers, simps (the creepy sort) and so on. Which is why it’s even more important to keep the people you have fun playing with, so you can play again.

You and Felix were together in a random online game lobby and had several games with each other. In some of them you were in the same team, in some you weren’t. The other players changed regularly, so that in the end there were no people in the lobby anymore that were in the first game, other than you and Felix of course.

The lobby eventually died out after a while and would close soon due to inactivity, but since you had lots of fun with each other since the first game, you decide to stay in contact as just gamer buddies for now. He gives you his Discord or any other social media and you play almost daily with each other. But it doesn’t stay at just gaming, you start having conversations unrelated to the game and even call, until you finally manage to meet each other in real life.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

Cuddles. I cannot stress this enough, but dating Felix includes lots of cuddles. Other than that, if we’re not talking about Date nights, we have one of three possibilities. Considering that you can even connect them, there are more than three, but that’s not the point. You’d either have some conversations that could end up being really deep, dorky or just you guys talking about how your day went. Number two is watching a movie or a series or random YouTube videos. And number three is gaming night! I mean, playing games at night is probably the best time to play games. But I think it all depends on your mood. If you’re feeling lazy and tired, you would just watch a movie and talk. But if you’re energetic, you’re in for a long night with several games! And obviously talking, he won’t leave out the late night conversations. If you’re watching a movie together, you would spoon each other. Who the big spoon is depends on how you’re feeling. If you’re playing games, you’d either sit on his laps or you would sit next to each other with his head on your shoulder.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

That’s what the late night conversations are for! Communication is important to him and he would be open to you from the start. He would start slowly and not reveal everything at once, but the more you guys grow together, the more he’ll tell you. He wouldn’t expect you telling him the same amount if you’re not feeling good yet, but it’s important to him that you’re not keeping everything to yourself either since, again, communication is the key to a healthy relationship and trust is also a big thing to him. He wouldn’t feel comfortable if you wouldn’t trust him at all or if he feels like he can’t trust you.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

Not easily at all! He’s a very chill person and instead of getting mad at others for talking shit about you, he’d rather spend his taking care of you. However, as I mentioned in the beginning, he would absolutely avenge you. At least in games, he wouldn’t hurt anyone in real life. And if they hurt you before, he’ll make sure you’re okay before taking legal actions if they really did something terrible. He’s a big softie, so you wouldn’t see him angered often and if he is, he won’t be it for long, but he’ll need you to take care of him since he’s unpredictable when he’s mad. But he would never hurt you in any way.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

Similar to Seungmin, he would memorize your details and would remind you about how much he loves and adores them. He would also put them in consideration when preparing something for you or buying a present for you. He just wants to assure you that he’s paying attention to every little thing you say and that he treasures those things and never forgets them. (Not my head making up a really sad scenario right now jdyhdkj I might send it in as an angst thought later)

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

Your first kiss and first I love you. I can see it as something that happens at the same time. It took you a while to be completely clear about your feelings, even if the two of you have been dating for a while now. You never made anything official because while you felt safe around each other, you couldn’t tell if that’s really what you want.

But in that one moment you finally feel that yes, this is it. It would be on a date night and Felix prepared the cutest date ever, that’s when you start feeling it. Start realizing that you really do love him. So you tell him. You didn’t even notice, the words just slipped out of your mouth while you were stargazing. His heart skips a beat and he rolls over to you and whispers “I love you too.”, while softly pulling you in for a kiss.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Not overprotective at all. However, when he notices you’re uncomfortable, he will protect you by pulling you close and patting your head. He would let anything go for you to be comfortable, since you’re his everything.

He would like the same protection from you. Just hugging hm, holding him close and patting his head when he’s anxious will help him calm down. Remind him that you’re there for him if he needs it and he will be forever thankful.

T = Travel (Where would they travel with you?)

Australia! He would want to show you everything about his home, all the beautiful and unique places and the colorful wildlife. He would be so excited to see your reaction to every single thing and would take so many pictures to safe this moment forever.

But he doesn’t need the pictures, because he would never forget this time with you. I’ve never been in Australia, but my brother and his girlfriend have and the things they told me-

Honestly, this one is HARD. But maybe that he would be a bit overexcited or overly careful sometimes. It’s not that much of a bad habit, but it can be a bit annoying sometimes when someone is overexcited and screams constantly or is overly careful and doesn’t dare to take the next step or is even still unsure about your current step.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

I can see him being similar to Seungmin again. Not really concerned, but also not overly confident. I think he’s fine with his looks. At least I hope so, because he’s so good-looking :((

Yes, he would. You’re important to him and if you’re not with him for a longer time, he would feel kinda lost and lonely. He would miss you and be really excited to see you again. He isn’t obsessed with you in an unhealthy way, but he adores you a lot and is way better when he can hug and kiss you.

You two cooking together!

When you would cook together, he would pay less attention to the food and more to you. Let’s say you’re making brownies together. You’d share the work equally, but sometimes you can’t do something at the same time, so when he isn’t busy right now, he would hug you from behind and shower your neck with kisses while watching what you’re doing. Or when you’re both doing something, he would probably put some of this in your face and kiss it off afterwards.

Honestly, you’d be less baking and rather annoy each other with love.

The cookies would end up being wayyy to sweet because you didn’t pay attention while he was kissing your neck and put too much sugar in them.

And they also might have been a little bit too long in the oven because you were busy cuddling. So you end up pranking the other members since they expect great brownies.

If their partner doesn’t show affection at all. If they aren’t as affectionate as he is, he wouldn’t mind. But if they don’t show any affection at all, he would feel sad and trapped in a cold relationship.

Of course you can have bad days and not be in a mood to cuddle, but that’s something else. I’m really talking about taking the relationship as granted and not putting any effort in it.

Z = Zzz (What are sleep habits of theirs?)

He would go to sleep late and get up late. He wants to spend much time with you in the night, cuddle, watch movies, or play game, so he would go to back late. And while he might wake up not too late in the morning, he would absolutely lay there with you for a while. So yea, he falls asleep late and gets up late because he needs the time before sleeping and after waking up to show you that he loves you.
