Ben and Ty from Apocalypse Story are strong vibes ocs. although I've given each of them some traits and personality quirks, they are largely two overlapping sets of vibes. Ben is the nervous, earnest, hopeful, lonely kind, and Ty is the unaffected, mysterious, pop-culture quoting, lonely kind.

all the kids from Thief story are vibes thus far. Ivan is the mischievous MC kid, Reed is the leaderly kid, Dreya is the adventurous kid, Poppy is the flighty, sassy kid, Caro is the unsure kid, and Katlan is the reliable kid.

Dair from Summon Story is largely vibes. he grew up in the Claybeak gang and recently left, so he's lost and awkward, and doesn't trust easily. the Claybeaks are a gang notorious for stealing children's dreams to feed them to spirits, and then the spirits possess the kids to hep them with thievery or even murder! Dair's vibes are fidgety and splotchy.

Ernest from Magick story is all vibes. he's a cool dude! he likes rocks and doing magick with rocks and going into caves and discovering rocks and teaching kids about rocks. he's got grey skin and red hair (from working with rocks) and he has the best catchphrase.

Emrik and Qaz from Ghost story are vibes. Emrik is "intelligent academic did not sign up to be a ghost in another dimension" and Qaz is "I'm too smart and cool to be solving your ghost problems but I'm also loyal friend so here I am'." Qaz is also a werecat, which is cool.

Era and Lin from Portal Story are a singular vibe, that being "I met someone from another world and I'm afraid to lose them and never see them again."

Faroom from Space Story is literally a cosmic being, so of course they're a vibe.

Gale from Summer Story is the vibe of "mentor you didn't know you needed until just now."

everybody from Emporium Story is a vibe currently. harried retail workers.

Lunetta and Sebastian from Train story, but they're supposed to be vibes? the whole wip is just VIBES the story.

Poll for my WIP Enchanted Illusions

Okay, so, I am developing one of my minor WIPs, my Victorian gothic fantasy, Enchanted Illusions. It takes place in a vaguely Victorian (as the genre suggests) inspired world where magic, monsters, and myths come to life amidst all the humans. I already know that it has Vampires, Dhampirs (half-human, half-vampires), Wizards/Sorcerers, and some form of ghostly hauntings, BUT... I need help to figure out what other creatures I should add to this period. (As in, actively create an MC that is a mythological creature). Keep in mind that the vibe of this story is heavily inspired by classic gothic literature, and so the creature this character will be should fit this vibe.

I was only half joking about the Obey Me x Monster High crossover. Now here’s more of my bullshit.

Mammon, of course, gets caught up in Toreleis nonsense. She probably told him there was all sorts of valuable things in the catacombs so he would help her. Is most likely to try and trick him into a pact until Mc has to intervene.

Cleo refuses to dorm anywhere when the Demon Lord castle is right there. She somehow convinces Diavolo to let her stay there.  

Cupid knows Asmo. She’s got beef with him because she’s had to fix so many relationships that he’s broken up over the centuries. It’s on sight.

The ghouls are so shocked the first time Levi calls them Normies. Dead silent as they all looked at him. He never did it again.

Satan has read all sorts of books on the Zombie language and is eager to have Ghoulia to practice with. 

Levi is immediately accepted by all the other sea monsters. Lagoona is always inviting him swimming. She also promised that Neptuna would be good and not eat Henry so they can hang out in the tank together. He’s also very jealous that she can pass off a fishbowl as a purse to carry her pet everywhere.

Asmo, Clawdeen ,and Draculaura shopping sprees. Asmo also has a blast going through Draculauras closet.

Levi and Ghoulia geeking out together. She’s also read all of TSL and is ready to marathon. 

Beel becomes friends with Deuce. Partly from playing sports together. But also because Deuce loves to cook and now has a very eager and supportive taste tester in Beel. 

Levi and Satan don’t know what to do about Catgirls being real at Monster High. They think the werecats are so cool and interesting. But then they have the misfortune of meeting Toralei and the twins and the wonder is gone.

Twyla and Belphie being nap buddies. She’ll even help him have nice dreams if he wants. 

The RAD newspaper does a collaboration with the Ghostly Gossip.

Mammon tried to take one of Cleos amulets, because obviously something that belonged to the ancient pharaohs must be pretty valuable. Only to quickly learn the hard way it was a cursed one. He got no sympathy from her. 

Clawdeen does not blink at how chaotic the House of Lamentation is. If anything it reminds her of home with her own brothers.

This sounds very interesting. What are the species the mc can be? Do they have abilities?

Thank you both! At first I considered having MC be a type of shifter. Primarily because this is my first ever IF and I figured it might make things easier on me. However, I've reconsidered and decided to open it up to different species. Those being: Human Vampire (abilities are pretty much your standard vampire canon here: increased speed and strength) Fae (There'll be sub-categories here, though I haven't decided what kinds. If you guys have any suggestions, feel free to leave them in my inbox) Shifters (werewolves, werecats, etc. Again, feel free to leave suggestions in my inbox. Abilities include increased speed and strenght) The Dead (ghosts, ghouls, etc. It's a very haunted city, and most of the dead aren't seen as anything too out of the ordinary. Abilities include phasing.) I might add another category for sea-folk seeing as one of the ROs belongs in this category, but the setting is a land-locked city and therefore this would be highly unusual (but not impossible) for your MC.

Hoiii, Mila! :3c I got to play your demo the other day and I like how it's going so far (More difference than similarities, if you ask me). I have multiple RO asks, so you can just select them if you prefer: 1) If this had been a Soulmate!AU where the mark of the soulmate appear, what would their mark be on the MC? 2) MC just got turned into a werewolf/werecat! Thankfully, it's temporarily, but how would the ROs handle an MC in both full and half form? (Please remember to rest well!)

I’ll go for the soulmate!au as Golden has the trope of soulmates in it.

I think the mark would be gold like the MC’s and the actual marks would be something personal to the MC, so, headcanon away with that!

Where the mark would be:

Athalia/Asher: The wrist. Somewhere that can be hidden easily, but it’s also pretty personal.

Blaire/Blaze: The bicep. I’d like to think that the mark would still be visible in B’s wood form.

Kiana/Kaidan: Collarbone. K, especially when there’s hot weather, isn’t always in denim jackets so it’s a visible, intimate spot.

Phoebe/Phoenix: The rib cage. Every time they’re changing or something they’d admire it

What would the characters be like if you story swapped the ROs and the MCs? Like, put the ROTT characters in the COI world and the COI characters in the ROTT world? Idk which world would be worse to live in. I would say the COI world but there seems to be something apocalyptic in the future for ROTT.

Ooh this is an interesting one! But I can neither confirm nor deny any post-apocalyptic futures for rott ;)

For starters the mc's would have vastly different roles than what they original had, their motivations are different and their life experiences would give them a completely different feel as main characters in rott vs coi.

Anyway, more under the cut but this is basically just me rambling incoherently lmao.

ROTT characters in COI

I imagine this would take place in two books; one set in Wasteland, the other set underground, or one big book.

The original group (Ardwen, Arke, Keller, Qora) probably wouldn’t be separated in this instance, instead being pulled, with mc, in opposite directions by the different factions vying for their assistance. I think in this case, the entire group would be werewolves, or were-whatever’s depending on who they are (Qora would be a werecat, fight me) as well.

The dads would also be werewolves, and would take on a more active mentor role in the story and might later either end up missing, injured, or dead, depending on the needs of the narrative.

The rebellion, or at least the characters within rott’s rebellion, would still exist and probably be more along the lines of a militia in Wasteland. They’d be the first group you meet and would probably serve as an introduction to Wasteland and the way it functions as a society. Cal would be the leader of a settlement, and the rest would be her hunters.

Ettia and Gwyn would be immortals who have either turned their back on the city in an attempt to aid those they wronged, or they’d be working against Wasteland to keep the city’s secrets. Perhaps, in their own ways, both.

The mercenaries would probably serve a similar purpose that Arthur and his agency does; ideologically they’d be against what the city is doing, and how they make immortals but they would practically work for anyone who has the coin.

Emil would take the role of a saga-like character with Necrolym as a close confidant. The cult just straight up wouldn’t exist or be integrated into the main leadership in Ledala/city of immortals with Druvel taking on a mouthpiece or public relations role and Lokeira serving a similar function to Deimos being basically hired muscle.

A lot of them would end up dying, most likely Necrolym.

COI characters in ROTT

The two Mc’s would probably know they’re Godkin by the time the story starts and would go about things differently. There would be no Queenslaying, but they might also be separated and have their own groups of intrepid adventurers to choose their ros from. They’d probably be ex-soldiers either Hadarian or Xacthan and be on the run for most of the story if the world hasn’t ended by the time the mc’s get their asses into gear.

Mordred would also be an old soldier friend and another Godkin, whereas Carol, Lowrie, Ridley, Harley, and Doc would serve a similar function to the rebellion in their own ways. Allard would be an antagonistic character the whole time, serving as a rival or a part of the cult looking to bring about the end of the Gods.

I imagine mc2 gets injured at some point and Arthur and Perci take them in and ultimately help them--provided mc helps them first with Saga’s little problem. Adrastea, Dagda, and Deimos would show up later as antagonists searching for Saga but later the group would band together despite their differences in loyalties.

Saga would probably be a runaway Hadarian heir, Deimos an old bodyguard. Adrastea, a similar function to Felicia, and Dagda maybe a minor noble. The main antagonists would probably be the rulers of Hadaria in this case as opposed to a singular cult hiding in the shadows.

None of this probably makes sense, but it was fun to write anyway haha

I just wanted to share some of my dreams for this blog with everyone

I know I cannot recreate the game and I’m stuck in what I’m limited to, so I’m mostly thinking about stories and fanfiction.  Most of these I had proposed to SWD, and I even wrote them recently, but it does not seem they are watching their emails at this time for GMS.

What makes you more likely to drop a web novel?

A few things:

1. The amount of chapters. I have to be really fascinated by the concept/love the novel to want to read 400 and over chapters (for some reason, 399 is less psychologically crazy for me.) And I will literally not read anything over 1000 chapters, I don't care what's in it.

2. I don't have any interest in anything that's not period (whether historical, fantasy, xianxia, wuxia, whatever.) Now, it's usually not an issue since I won't even start a contemporary but if a novel shifted into modern lives in some sort of multiple life setup, I'd peace out.

3. Harem or reverse harem. I need there to be an OTP. I have zero interest in harem set-up.

4. It's not IMPOSSIBLE for me to like a slice of life period novel, but it's highly unlikely.

4a. I might like slice of life but I will never like fluffy. If I find out that despite the premise the thing is fluffy, I am gonna bail.

5. I have to like the protagonists, or at least like one of them and not mind the other one. This seems simple but it's not. Too many novels make theirs boring/unlikeable/whatever. If I end up loathing a main, I am done, however well-done the novel. Thousand Autumns is a great example. I read a fair bit into it and I will be the first to admit it's wonderfully written. But I loathed Yan Wushi so so so much, I really couldn't keep reading it because all I wanted was to have him get tortured to death on the page and then MC continue the story with someone else as his ML.

5a. I guess this brings me to my dealbreaker. I am fine with a main committing almost any atrocity as a "crime of passion" - i.e., they are driven by hurt/pain/revenge/madness/combo - they are unhinged, they are not in their right mind. But when a main does something horrible as a result of detached curiosity or calculation or an experiment, where they don't have the excuse of being out of their mind with emotion, nothing can fix it for me - see A Thousand Autumns.

5b. Even with crimes of passion, if there is no remorse later, I'd still bail but it's a separate matter. Looking at the list of my favorite web novels, clearly some seriously unhinged and problematic behavior is not a deal breaker for me, but I want the novel to share my view that problematic behavior is problematic and also still make me care.

6. Too overpowered - I've ditched too many where heroine or hero might as well be a god, winning over everything and everyone.

7. You want to bang a cat, I am done. Even if said cat is alien from Planet Meow who turns into a hot human, or is a werecat or whatever. No thanks.

8. Too much cultivation - I am just not interested in a story which spends a lot of time dealing with mechanics of protag powering up.

“Surprise!” Kida walked into the large ballroom in Jumin’s building and was blown away. She already knew everyone was in there because she could smell them before she opened the door. But she hadn’t expected this. There was her family, however strange, celebrating with her.

Her adoptive parents, Saeyoung, a werewolf, and MC, a werecat, stood in the front of everyone faces beaming. Typical proud parents. Behind them was Saeran, werewolf, and Yoosung, werecat, her very enthusiastic uncles. Then of course there were the vampires Jumin and Zen, both smiling, Zen wiping away tears dramatically. Persephone had joined their pack when Jumin and she fell in love, the witch was quite stunning. And the last werewolf of the pack, Jaehee.

All monsters, each and every one, but the most loving family she could have ever hoped for besides her biological mother and father. They had welcomed her with open arms and made her feel safe. The twins, Saeyoung and Saeran taught her about strength and mastering her predatory nature. MC and Yoosung taught her about compassion, love, and a passive inner strength. Jumin taught her about control. Persephone taught her about power and balance. Zen taught her not to take herself so seriously and learn to have fun. Jaehee taught her about personal pride in a job well done. And there was so much more! She was still learning how to navigate in the human world as a vampire, but it wasn’t as difficult as she had imagined it would be.

Of course it helped to have such a fantastic cast of characters supporting her. The RFA, in all its glory, fangs and all. Celebrating her graduation! It didn’t get any better than this!

They descended on her. Tears were shed. Words of love were spoken, and her heart swelled in the tempest of emotion.

Tolys as if he were in sonic. There is some designs I’d change obviously but gotta stick with iron wolf with a sword because.... yeah.

Bonus, my own style and a series i started in like 2016 with a Prototype Title of Joel. The MC’s name.

Joel is a human, kind of. All of his life he thought he was just crazy and no one believed him when he said he had two massive demonic worms sticking out of his back. Most others cannot see them. He’s a carhop and works at Sonic Drive-In or A&W type of place, can roller skate and what not. The worms, they can touch and mess with stuff. Based off my late cat @bjthecat​ I made the worms like trained to chase after bottle caps and such. He’s trained them to respond to the sound and other things and to him, for now, he’s just a human guy who sees these worms and everyone thinks he is crazy even if the worms can respond and react to think that can feel or see them.

After he notices he’s been being trailed for some time by a strange being, he decides to track it down too. There he finds a ghost and the ghost wants to take the worms, explaining A: well they’re not cool snakes, B: they’re a parasitic heartworm C: they’re not supposed to grow this big in humans... nor exist in humans... what the fuck. D: i want you for experiment time woo.

Joel is not pleased and they kinda duke it out but they eventually find out in a sense they’re worthy rivals and joel, who’s worms overpowers this ghost dude, on the sheer fact that he can pass it like a parasite to spiritual beings (ghosts and such) grosses out the ghost dude.

the two work together to uncover secrets they never thought possible AND start to find more paranormal things in the school, like how the weird emo kid who doesn’t talk to anyone and is always kinda scary and playing with lighters is actually a werecat that terrorizes the town or other monsters that show up.

I don’t  have much in there developed but I’d love to discuss more of this with people and build off it. :/ there is two other characters, regulars at the drive up place that sit at the table, playing TCG and eating fries, and they’re obsessed with paranormal stuff and they’re always watching Joel carefully trying to expose he is hiding something.
