Rewatched s2e2 for time loop fic reasons and. So much fic set in s2 actually has Steve stopping Jonathan on his way out of the party and asking Jonathan to take Nancy home that I had forgotten that that doesn't actually happen in the show. We see Steve push past Jonathan and out of the party without a word, and Jonathan head deeper into the house in the direction Steve just came from. Jonathan straight-up made that whole thing up and lied to Nancy about it.

And what's making me bite the wires of my cage about this is that there's no reason for him to do this. It makes Steve look like a more considerate boyfriend than he actually is at that point, and benefits Jonathan in absolutely no way. Maybe it spares Nancy's feelings a little, to not think she was abandoned when she was drunk and vulnerable, but she's like actively in the middle of telling Jonathan about how unimpressed she is with Steve anyway when he tells this lie, so it's just. Like. Why. Why did you go out of your way to make Steve Harrington look better to the girl both of you want to date. Why are you trying to salvage somebody else's relationship when you supposedly actively want it to end because you're in love with one-half of it.

Add to that the fact that Steve lied about being behind the camera Nancy gave Jonathan in s1, so now they've got a parallel, and I just. I need. I need a moment.

“So,” Tim responded from where he was typing on his computer, mostly in civilian clothes save for his gauntlets and boots. The Red Robin outfit was haphazardly dropped across the couch and his pole leaning against the end. 

“Technically there’s proper procedures for clones…” Danny motioned to both himself and Ellie from where they sat on the counter, snacking on a plateful of scones. From Alfred, he was certain. 

“Technically, yes… but do we want to actually do that?” 

All three of them smiled, something almost feral in the motion. Of course not. They all had the same memories after all, and Bruce had just returned from the past, from exactly where and when Tim had said he was. Despite no one believing him, hence why they were in his boathouse, and not in the apartment or manor. 

“Think we can pull it off?” Ellie took a sip of tea, mischief swirling in her eyes. 

“Of course we can.” Both Danny and Tim spoke at once, one pulling up a new doc and the other pulling the whiteboard out from under a curtain.

ayyyyy look who it is! Neynari, Se'txelu, and Rolukx, for those who don't know lol. Anyways, just a bit of design refining for these dummies, mostly in the outfit department but some minor stripe pattern adjustments as well.

Yes I finally settled on a new name for Neyntìsti! I wanted to keep the "neyn" part of course, because I mean. look at her. I was a little hesitant to go with "Neynari" at first because it still kinda looks like "neyn-nari" and I wanted to avoid the smush-two-words-together thing, that was the whole point of changing her name in the first place lol, but after rolling several potential variations around in my head for quite a while, Neynari was the one I kept coming back to as just sounding right. So Neynari it is.

Speaking of Neynari, I've finally picked a birth clan for her, which was a mystery up to this point: she was born in the Aranahe clan! thanks FoP lol

(Se'txelu and Rolukx are brothers from the Anurai clan for those who don't know; Neynari met Se'txelu while visiting the Anurai on a trading trip and wound up deciding to stay when the pair fell in love.)

Psy as well (with changes to a few quirks in voice). #Fys skills though...well...wwx is in a different body! WWX is withdrawing and craving substances he's never even heard of before) #While I personally don't fully subscribe to Volition Jean I *do* see Volition Jiang Cheng.
