i've uh had some very specific Thoughts about Zelda's childhood for a while now so its about time i put them to paper - this is actually round TWO since the original doodles are lost to ... somewhere ... i like these second editions better though so alls well that ends well

iiitssss customary ranting about my BotW/TotK opinions tiiiimeeee welcome my darlingsss jfkdjfkd 💙

i had a much more solid idea about where i was going with Zelda than with Link but some of it is kinda abstract or weird lol

we know a fair amount about her upbringing in general, or can infer as much from Zelda's interactions with her father and what they and people around them wrote. she was clearly a smart and vivacious kid with a strong personality from the start, no matter how much you sort of squash that shit for the public face, repression etc. so yknow, her mother's death when she was 6, awful. her father's change in attitude especially in her teens, awful. being under public scrutiny her whole life, awful. restrictive structure of royal life, dull (i bet it bored Zelda to death at times no matter how strongly duty-oriented she is). having said that though, she got by and just by looking at her study, she clearly got stuff done to herself - you can take the kid away from the science but the science stays with the kid !!!

additionally, forgive me for mentioning ... timelines ... but in my humble onion, BotW/TotK serve as a Dragon-Break scenario which are SO far in the future from other entries that ALL timelines will inevitably converge and lead to that point, so it doesnt matter any more (i dont like extended Timeline theory, Nindooty doesnt like extended Timeline theory, the current writing team seem to want shot of it, let me be). being a history guy i also subscribe to leaning on the LEGEND aspect of 100 and 1000 year games of telephone, it makes things spicy. tradition is a strange thing, we do things we dont have much of a context for anymore, we're still living with the cultural hangovers of people living when mammoths were around and no thats not hyperbole lol its WILD. ive typed around the point enough lets get going

the other two are where my timeline thing comes in; the triforce is never mentioned by name, its just there in symbolism ?? something about the blood of the goddess ?? divine sealing powers ??? no one knows in the same vein, i like to think that its traditional for Hylian Princesses to learn archery and play a lyre or harp ... but no one remembers quite WHY ?? so Zelda does. the Priestess-Princess* role means the public is aware that Zelda had formal singing training, but its not really common knowledge outside of the Castle that the Royal Girls do THIS (no one knows why that part is important either, but it stays in the Castle). she might be a little out of practice now, but give that muscle memory enough time and she might be able to really surprise people.

*this is part of the Japanese translation, at least in Kass' final song Zelda is referred to as an term roughly meaning Priestess-Princess - which makes total sense to me

Yusuke:

He’s not a big holiday guy tbh

Like he doesn’t hate it necessarily but it does get annoying when he feels he HAS to put in a bit more effort on things like gift

Honestly doesn’t decorate or anything, but he’ll wear holiday clothes if asked nicely

9/10 he’s getting people money or gift cards anyway

He’s also not a big fan of the malls and such being more crowded than normal around this time, he likes having elbow room

Don’t even get him started on holiday music, he’s losing his mind by minute 2 of walking in the mall 😣

Ok so…what does he like then?

Food

Both making and eating it

Christmas in Japan is different from Christmas in America(obviously), but the one consistent thing is the importance of food

It’s also one of his love languages

He probably didn’t have many instances of eating together like a “family”. The few times he did was when Keiko’s family invited him and his mom to eat with them so being to eat with as many friends and family members as possible makes him really happy

He also goes out of his way to make sure every single one of his friends and loved ones is doing ok

financially, mentally, physically, emotionally, ect

He knows there’s only so much he can do, but he’s never gonna just leave a friend or family member to suffer in silence if has any word on the matter 😤

Keiko’s schoolwork been stressing her out? He’s bringing her snacks and a movie!

Shizuru been feeling down? Shopping trip! NOW!

Hiei and Yusuke being moodier than usual? Sparing time now, food after 🍜

Why wouldn’t he spread joy to his friends and family? Thats the whole point of the season to him!

Kurama both likes and dislikes the holidays

He likes it because he likes getting his friends and family gifts

They’re always practical gifts btw

Like clothes or home appliances that you’re in desperate need of

His mom is the one getting the extravagant gifts though

Don’t get him wrong, he’ll occasionally splurge on his friends…

But his mom 100% is getting like a Gucci bag or something for Christmas

His stepfather and stepbrother will also get nice gifts…but his mom’s getting the best gifts. Period. 💅

He also likes helping his mom decorate the house!

He’s tall so he puts up all the lights and the ornaments that go at the top of the tree

He’s very paranoid that she’ll fall of a ladder so she’s just straight up not allowed to help him hang the lights when he’s around

It’s been their cute little tradition to make snickerdoodles since he was a wee lad 🥰

Now for why he doesn’t like the holidays…

I feel like his human father died around the holidays…

So naturally, it was a very hard time of the year for him and his mother

Especially for his mother…

He’d often catch her crying alone in the living room or in her bedroom when she thought her son was asleep or busy

But he heard her…he always heard her…

Some of his memories from around that time in his childhood are mostly of him consoling his morning mother in any way he could

He’d sometimes take her out for walks in the snow and ask her to build a snowman or make snow angels with him

Sometimes he’d make hot chocolate and watch TV with her

And sometimes he’d even throw away his pride and sing cute holiday songs and do little dances for her!

Seeing her smile for even a moment was worth all the embarrassing home videos she’d take of him

Now that she’s now remarried with a new family, he’s not as worried about her since he knows she’s not lonely anymore

It’s still a difficult time for her, but she has people who love her to distract her

If he does put effort into getting his friends any sort of gift…it’s either something he stole or weird demon world stuff

He claims he felt she needed more substance in her diet

To his credit…she did eat it…

One of the best ways to get him to go to an event/ gathering willingly is to tell him that there’s gonna be a lot of free food

He grew up with bandits, he didn’t always have consistent access to food…it’s part of why he’s so short…that and genetics

So hearing that he has free access to food for the evening that he doesn’t have to fight for will have him being social and polite for at least an hour

He would rather saw his legs off with a rusty saw than admit this but he does secretly enjoy these human holiday gatherings

Everyone he knows and loves is in one spot where he can easily keep tabs on them

He kinda doesn’t mind the music and chatter

And the inside of the building they’re all in is always toast warm

He’s a fire demon so being out in the snow doesn’t bother him

But…it’s kinda nice to just be inside where it’s warm with all his friends and his sister looking so happy and at peace…

Satan and Belphie love being menaces in Lucifer's life, it gives them purpose. ...the same cannot be said for Beel. Beel is the complete opposite of his twin, he doesn't like playing pranks on Lucifer. He doesn't like adding more problems to Lucifer's plate at all, Lucifer already deals with enough in Beel's eyes, keeping the family together and out of trouble. So Beel always says no to participating in pranks with his brothers...but Beel is only a demon. But I'm only human! Like other demons, Beel can be bribed, Beel likes food..like a lot. So when Satan and Belphie told Beel they'd buy him whatever food he wanted as long as he participated in a prank with the Anti-Luicfer League..well let's just say his stomach answered for him. Beel couldn't pass an opportunity like this up, whatever food he wanted? That's crazy possibilities, just the thought of it gots him drooling. Lucifer would understand, or Beel hopes he will. Beel doesn't really participate, he's just kind of there. As Satan and Belphie come up with their brilliant prank plan, Beel scurries off to the kitchen to get a snack. Thinking of what food he's going to have his brothers get him made him hungry. By the time Beel comes back with his arms full of food to snack on, Satan and Belphie have their plan made. The three make their way to Lucifer's bedroom, and they successfully sneak into Lucifer's room. Satan and Belphie get straight to work on executing the prank...while Beel just kind of stands in the corner munching on his snacks. Satan and Belphie giggle like a bunch of teen girls while they prepare the prank. They honestly look like psychos laughing up a storm. Whether it is the laughing, or Lucifer's sixth sense kicks in, it doesn't matter. What matters is that the door to Lucifer's bedroom swings open and there he stands, Lucifer, the man, the myth, the legend. I'm sorry idk what I'm doing. Satan and Belphie go from: 😂😂🤣🤣 to: 😬😐🧍‍♂️🧍‍♂️real quick. Lucifer, Satan, and Belphie all just stand there, having a stare off all like: 🧍‍♂️🧍‍♂️🧍‍♂️it only lasts for a minute before Lucifer is all like: 😠😡🤬😤 while this happens Beel is just standing in the corner munching on snacks like: 🧍‍♂️🍟🍔🍿😋. Again idk what I'm doing man I'm sorry. After Lucifer lectures them for a bit, he obviously gives the three their punishment, but the funny part is Beel barely gets punished. When Satan and Belphie throw a fit over Beel basically getting a slap on the wrist, Lucifer points out that Beel is basically an accomplice, all he did was stand there and eat snacks, he didn't actually help with the prank. So Satan and Belphie get the awful punishment while Beel barely gets punished, Satan and Belphie learned one thing, don't bribe invite Beel to do pranks. If Satan and Belphie did this with Asmo, I feel like it'd be pretty much the same, except Asmo has to be bribed with beauty products, and when they get caught Asmo stands in the corner like: 🧍‍♂️💅😗✌️🤳 unlike how Beel was. Asmo also basically gets off Scott free for barely participating. It really just depends on Asmo's mood and if he's mad at Lucifer if he participates or not tho.

if he's doing some late-night broadcasts for his station, then he'll make sure that your comfortable. He'll set down a mic in front of you, and hand you some headphones if you want to join him

if not, then he'll make sure to give you as much attention as he can

he'll let you help him grade papers, or to come up with some lesson plans if you want to help him out

if you don't want a distraction, and instead want to talk about your anxiety, then he's all ears

if you don't have any coping mechanisms, then he's helping bounce ideas off of you to help come up with some for you

if you take some of his ideas to heart and start using them, then he's falling in love all over again

he's super happy to see that he was able to help you to any capacity

Midoriya Izuku || Deku

chances are, deku has already figured out something's keeping you up at night

he's already got a couple of journals dedicated to you, and a handful of pages are dedicated to brainstorming what the possible affliction is and ways to help with it

you two strive to be as communicative as possible, so it doesn't take you too long to let him know that you have anxiety surrounding sleep

he doesn't want to overwhelm you, but he does immediately jump to questioning you about it

do you prefer distractions, or should he focus on checking the room over? should he get you some warm milk/hot coco/tea and you two sit down and talk about stuff??

mans just wants you to be ok, and regardless of how long or rough his day is, you come first

if you simply want to shadow him through his nightly routine, thats fine with him too

just don't push him away. its not healthy to bottle things up and, while he understands the desire to 'protect' others from negative feelings, it only leads to making you feel worse

he doesn't beat around the bush and, after the first month of you two living together, he questions you on why it seems like you haven't slept at all

he might get a bit more aggressive, and tell you to suck it up at first, you simply need to be firm with him. tell him how your anxieties aren't something that you can simply put aside

when he realizes just how much it affects you, and how much you have a hard time going to sleep, he jumps to trying to help you

i feel like he's likely to suggest ideas to physically tire yourself out, so your brain has no time to allow your anxieties to form

so, things like sparing, lifting weights, maybe even going on an evening jog/run every night

if those don't work, then perhaps the two of you could talk until you feel better or sleepy enough to... well, sleep

he'll ask you if you have coping mechanisms, and seems relieved when you tell him you have some

he'll ask what they are so that he can help you better

kats will even ask if theres times where you become nonverbal, and if there are, if you have ways of communicating when you do

if you don't, then he'll help you with that too

he just wants the best for you, even if he shows that weirdly sometimes

They’re said to be the Nightmare of China Town.

» They both work under Lady Thirteen, The China Town Beauty, as Her Hit men. They would do anything just to clear the speck of dirt in Her name, whether if They had to get their hands bloodied up in the process. Lady Thirteen was a mere celebrity in China Town, seen as perfect and Elegant. yet who knew that She would actually be their Boss?

» They work for Lady Thirteen as a way to repay her for what she has done for them in the past. It was during a difficult time in both their Lives and ever since then, They started to work for Her. yet theres a small rumor that spread like wildfire, that Flying Guillotine is trying to find Lady Thirteen and Hurt her. Many Residents of the Town have feared and prayed for that Rumour to be nothing more but a false narrative that was created just for a scare. yet who knows? no one knows the true intentions of Flying Guillotine and their main goal in the first place, not even Lady Thirteen herself in that matter.

» starting off strong with their dynamic being absolutely like a cat and dog one. you have FG!Wujiu whose just tired + no energy while FG!Bi’an has tons of energy.

» during off days, Bi’an would usually ask Wujiu if He’s up to check some places in the area, relax in the Tea-House or have a nice game of cards. Wujiu would usually (mostly) say yes, but in some cases He would just be too tired.

» Flying Guillotine are smokers, if you couldn’t tell. They would usually smoke to cool off some steam and thats about it, well, there would be some occasions where They would just want to smoke for no reason or they just feel like it.

» if cigarettes aren’t available, they would usually just lay around in the Tea-House to drink Tea or to grab a bite. Fan Wujiu usually opts for something filling while Xie Bi’an chooses something light. They usually use it as their resting place during closing hours since it’ll just cause havoc if they come in during working hours, besides, Lady Thirteen owns the place. so another reason would be so they could discuss business with Her.

» when doing actual business per se, They usually tend to avoid public spaces as it’ll just lead to more suspicion. imagine going to the market just to get some fruit, and you just see an unconscious body right infront of you. either way, not really pleasant.

» If they have no choice whatsoever, They’d usually clean up the evidence (or atleast try to) when they have the time. if the blood is way too cemented on the ground, They usually just leave it be. sure, it can still hold suspicion which contradicts to their actual plan, but atleast its not a literal body.

» Their Missions usually go smoothly, until a certain distraction has been showing up.

» It was no other than Requiem. Requiem and Flying Guillotine are in no good terms. Their bosses, True Proof and Lady Thirteen has also some vendetta against eachother aswell, which lead to a rivarly between the two groups. so maybe that also adds onto that.

» Their meetings are pure coincidences. if they do happen to meet, It’ll just be laced with pure annoyance with a spat exchange of words.

» maybe a glare, maybe a side eye, who knows. Their Interactions with the pair have always been Limited due to their respective Missions. They could maybe get into good terms, yes. but with how things are happening, its doubtful. but not impossible.

How to nail 💅your Essays

No matter if you’re in university or school, you will need to write a research paper. Now this post will be dedicated to a normal essay structure, if you need to write an essay based assignment on medical, biological, chemical, or any other science, you need to be more specific, as writing a lab report has a couple extra steps.

Now, you have an essay due in two weeks? A week? Tonight? I’ve been there and I share your pain. I am currently in my last year in university studying for bachelor degree in Marketing, and oh boy let me tell you, the amount of essays I had to write was unreal. Therefore, let me share with you some of my essays skills, to help your speed run your own assignment.

Step 1: OUTLINE IT!?

Ok i think so many of you out there are missing this step. You cant expect yourself to sit in front of the computer and start typing away your essay? No you cant do that. You need to spend a good amount of time sitting down and outlining your essay. Figure out what goes where, and what sources to use for each section. Luckily for you, you have me here to tell you the basic outline structure of every essay. It consists of the:

Table of content (depends on how professional your essay is asked for)

Introduction

Main body

Conclusion

… THATS IT! Only 4 sections (and a half) to write your essay. However of course there is more to write then just that. Lets break down those sections

1) Introduction: When writing the introduction for your essay, it's important to start off with a bang! You want to give your readers a glimpse of what's to come and hook their attention right from the beginning. Make sure to include a strong thesis statement that clearly states the main argument or purpose of your essay. To make it even more engaging, you can provide some background information about the topic and give a brief outline of the main points you'll be discussing in your essay. Therefore, every introduction should have an hook, explanation what you’re writing, what you think will be the result or what is the point you’re writing your essay, and outline all the points of the main body (but simplify them)

2) Main body: In each section of your essay, it's important to provide a detailed analysis and offer supporting evidence for the points you introduced at the beginning. Take each paragraph as a chance to present a single main idea or argument and support it with enough evidence, examples, or citations to back up your claim. To make sure your ideas flow smoothly, use clear and logical transitions between paragraphs. Lastly, remember to give credit to your sources and include proper references for any external information you include in your essay. Here are some side tips for you

Try to have at least a minimum of 3 main body paragraphs . Each paragraph should have one point which helps support your main hypothesis or reasons or this essay.

Each essay will have different main bodies, depending on the subject. Sometimes your main bodies will be dedicated to presenting information about your topic. So for example, as a marketer, I had to write many reports. Most reports written will always include a main analysis of the company (so SWOT, PESTEL, Stakeholder analysis, mission and vision of the company, etc). Depending on what the essay require you to do, you should consider to present your points in that order.

Even your main body should have a proper structure of introduction, main points, and the conclusion.

Don’t forget to have a proper in-text citations depending on which format you use.

3) Conclusion: A conclusion is a chance to wrap up your essay by summarizing the main points and restating the thesis statement. Remember not to introduce any new information here; instead, provide a concise summary of the arguments you've made throughout your essay. Furthermore, this is your chance to leave a lasting impression on your reader by offering insights, implications, or recommendations related to the topic. A well-written conclusion should leave your reader with a sense of closure and a clear understanding of the importance of your essay's content.

4) References: The references section of your essay is where you list all the sources you have cited or referenced. It's important because it helps readers find and verify the credibility of the sources you used. When writing the references section, make sure to follow the specific citation style required by your institution or professor, such as APA, MLA, or Chicago style. Include the author's name, publication year (if there is no publication year, then the article must not be reliable. It must always have a year), title of the source, publication information, and any other required details. Arrange the references alphabetically by the author's last name or by the title if there is no author (if there is no author try using the organisation or the website that published the text). Don't forget to double-check the formatting and punctuation for accuracy and consistency throughout the references section.

After your essay was outlines and you know exactly what you’re supposed to write… write it dude? Like you have the format, you have the sources, and you know your points. If you want to go the extra mile, and also make the essay more professional here are some of my personal tips to accomplish that:

size 12 for normal text and size 14 for title (titles can be only bold)

Use text Times New Roman (ROMAN EMPIREEEEEEEEEE)

Double space of all essay

Have a cover page! You can find templates in the insert section of the word tabs.

Have numbers tag the foot of the page

like he was almost jealous when he found out the timeless child was the doctor? so he could have opened the fobwatch because HE wanted to be the special chosen one, HE wants to be the origin of the time lords, he wants the doctor to exist because of HIM and not the other way around

maybe it's a bit of a combination of everything??? he just wants to have that advantage over the doctor because that's always how their relationship has gone, a millenia long quarrel between them that will never stop no matter who or what gets in the way ?
