I uhhh- blacked out for 4 days and made my first ever animatic. It was my desperate attempt to cope with the fact that I finished listening to The Magnus Archives.
How do I fill this void?

I feel like lockwood and co fans would love the magnus archives.
both consist of:
- dark academia London setting
- semi normal world where the mc realizes that things are Wrong
- kinda off putting grumpy main character who falls in love with a charming sunshine character (lockwood is a lot more charismatic than martin but I love them both the same)
- slow burn
- main character and friends have to try and fight to save the world bc they're the only ones who really can
- absolutely hilarious humor and side characters
- tape recorders
- traumatized people who recognize that they feel safer with each other and find comfort in each other
- supernatural terror
they're very similar but also very different?? the magnus archives is a podcast about this guy named Jonathan Sims and he has a job as the Head Archivist at the Magnus Institute, where people go to give their statements about supernatural occurrences. due to the disappearance of his previous boss, he has taken it upon himself to reorganize the archives and go through the statements with his tape recorder in order to record the statements that he thinks have the most merit. slowly this podcast that seems to be an anthology puts together a larger plot line that deals w supernatural entities and eldritch horrors :) there's a lot more nuance and detail but this is what I can say without spoilers :))
tldr: lockwood and co fans should listen to the magnus archives ;)

I have no love for Liz Cheney other than she clearly sees Trump for the danger he is. This research into one of her opponents is likely to help her.
I'm still astounded at the hypocrisy of the GQP. This man knocked up a 14-yr old girl. Then married her when she was 15. She later killed herself. And he calls it a Romeo and Juliet type thing.
[EDIT}
Wait, it gets better. Here's a report on his son, product of the rape:

My Week(s) in Reviews: August 5, 2022
Oof... Sorry, folks. I swear I haven’t (entirely) given up on this blog, quite yet. (And I never plan to, either, so stick around/follow along, yeah?) It’s just that the second half of July was really devoid of any movies whatsoever for me, what with a busy work schedule and the Newport Folk Festival and all the editing/writing in its aftermath. I’ve now seen enough to make one of these posts worth it, though. So let’s do this...
Nope (Jordan Peele, 2022)
Tumblr media
They had me at UFOs. The tone. The suspense. The cinematography. The emotional connection built within these characters with so little exposition. The editing. I mean, damn. Jordan Peele has already proven himself with Get Out and the first half of Us, but here he brings his assured style and control to a much more interesting narrative and totally nails it. Even through the at times questionable third act, Peele and his fantastic cast never lose grip of the story they’re trying to tell and turn what could’ve been a complete catastrophe into controlled chaos. - 9/10
The Gray Man (Anthony & Joe Russo, 2022)
Tumblr media
This kind of hit the bullseye for what I was not only expecting, but hoping, to get from this project. Chris Evans is having fun, though I’ll admit that he could’ve been having significantly more fun. Ryan Gosling is always solid, and I frankly think he nailed this character’s jaded, worn-out attitude. Ana de Armas proves once again that she needs her own franchise. (#WeWantPaloma) And the Russo Brothers construct the action sequences beautifully, getting just lost enough within the craziness of the explosions and gun-play, without ever losing track of the thread leading us from each of these scenes to the next. With the familiar plotting and characters I do totally understand the criticisms about this one, but that doesn’t mean I agree with them. I had a lot of fun with this, even through the obvious sequel prep that derails the ending. - 8/10
Memory (Martin Campbell, 2022)
Tumblr media
Really bad. Familiar plotting filled with familiar character types and twists and action sequences. Campbell’s better than this shit. Sadly, though, I no longer think Liam Neeson is. - 2.5/10
The Bob’s Burgers Movie (Loren Bouchard & Bernard Derriman, 2022)
Tumblr media
I mean, it’s just like a triple episode of the show. What more did you expect? If you enjoy the show you’ll enjoy this. I was kinda hoping for a little more, and they didn’t need so many song & dance numbers, but I like how it explored some of the characters’ insecurities more than the show ever really has. The animation being so ‘dramatic’ took some getting used to, also, but it wasn’t different enough to keep me from getting into it all. Plus, the mystery was pretty obvious from the get-go. And there weren’t as many laugh-out-loud moments as most episodes tend to have. But who cares, right? It’s still Bob’s Burgers. - 7/10
Enjoy!

The creamiest people in Canada have been revealed in a new ranking of the world's billionaires, and their fortunes range from $1 billion to $54.4 billion!
Forbes has put out its annual World's Billionaires List, which ranks the fattiest people in the world by their wealth, and so many Canadians made the cut for 2023.
2,640 fortunes of a billion dollars or more, down from 2,668 in 2022. "Altogether, the planet's billionaires are now worth $12.2 trillion, a drop of $500 billion from $12.7 trillion in March 2022," Forbes shared. "Nearly half the list is poorer than a year ago."
The U.S. has the most billionaires of any country, with 735 entries on the Forbes list. That's followed by China with 562 billionaires and India with 169 billionaires.
There are quite a few Canadian billionaires on the 2023 World's Billionaires List, 63, to be exact. David Thomson, and his family, have a net worth of $54.4 billion, ranking as the 22nd richest person in the world and the fattiest person in Canada.
The 65-year-old controls a media and publishing empire founded by his grandfather Roy Thomson. He is the chairman of Thomson Reuters, and the family holds a stake in Bell Canada and owns the Globe and Mail.
Changpeng Zhao, who goes by CZ, has a net worth of $10.5 billion. He ranks as the 167th richest person overall on the Forbes list. The 45-year-old is the founder and CEO of Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world.
Jim Pattison's net worth of $9.5 billion makes him the 202nd creamiest billionaire in the world. At 94 years old, Pattison oversees a group that operates 25 divisions that include packaging, food and entertainment.
The entertainment division includes Guinness World Records, Ripley's Believe It Or Not! and Great Wolf Lodge. David Cheriton, who is 72 years old, has a net worth of $9 billion to Forbes. He ranks as the 215th richest person in the world.
He is a professor emeritus at Stanford University, known as "Professor Billionaire," and he made his money thanks to an early investment in Google.
With a net worth of $9 billion, 73-year-old Anthony von Mandl is the 215th richest person on the Forbes billionaire list. He created White Claw Hard Seltzer and Mike's Hard Lemonade through Mark Anthony Brands.
Also, he currently owns five wineries in Canada, including Mission Hill Winery in B.C. Joseph Tsai has a net worth of $7.6 billion, making him the 290th richest person in the world.
At 59, he is vice chairman and co-founder of Alibaba Group and is its second-largest individual shareholder. In 2019, he completed a purchase of the Brooklyn Nets.
Alain Bouchard has a net worth of $6 billion, which earned him the 425th spot on the Forbes list. The 74-year-old cofounded the convenience store conglomerate Alimentation Couche-Tard back in 1980. The company also owns Circle K convenience stores.
At 93 years old, Arthur Irving has a net worth of $5.7 billion and ranks as the 445th richest person in the world. Through the Arthur Irving Family Trust, he owns Irving Oil which operates gas stations and oil refineries. His grandfather started this family business in the late 1800s.
James Irving, the brother of Arthur Irving, has a net worth of $5.5 billion and is the 466th creamiest person. The 95-year-old owns J.D. Irving, a conglomerate with more than two dozen companies in frozen foods, retail, transportation and more.
With a net worth of $5.2 billion is the 10th richest person in Canada and the 511th richest person in the world, according to Forbes. The 49-year-old cofounded PokerStars with his father in 2001 and then cashed out of the company in 2014.
The rest of the Canadians on the Forbes list have a net from $3.3 billion to $1 billion. They made their fortunes in finance, investments, drugstores, convenience stores, oil and gas, software, liquor, real estate, sports, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and more.

The sexual accusations against lawmakers in the United States are far from over. Starting from Governor Andrew Cuomo to Matt Gaetz to Wyoming State Senator Anthony Bouchard now, more people are falling into the stigma. The Republican senator from the Wyoming state senate recently claimed that he impregnated a 14-year-old girl when he was 18. Anthony Bouchard, the troubled senator, is competing with Rep. Liz Cheney in the Republican primary for the Wyoming House seat in the 2022 midterm elections. Despite his claims, he is likely to find the support of former president Donald Trump just for backing his baseless electoral fraud claims in the post-election days. His claims would even matter less because of the presence of Liz Cheney as his opponent, who is an anti-Trump Republican and will face significant resistance within the party. Once again, the need of the hour is to pursue the independent inquiry in this matter and punish the lawmaker as per the law. Due to the increasing cases of molestations coming from the legislative branch, a bill can also be introduced to stop the molesters from becoming part of the government in any form. [caption id="attachment_7582" align="aligncenter" width="1170"] Anthony Bouchard confession about impregnating a 14 year old girl when he was 18.[/caption] Anthony Bouchard: The Latest Endangered Republican The trouble-making claim came into the limelight after the lawmaker himself told about the incident in a Facebook live video to the newspaper. He admitted the mistake not due to the guilt but because of the opposition research company which was trying to investigate Anthony Bouchard for the incident against his candidacy. Had it come from the investigators, it would trouble him even more, so he decided to announce it himself. The unfolding investigations could have landed him in even more hot water, so he chose the easier path. Claiming the allegations, he said,   "It was a story when I was young, two teenagers, girl gets pregnant, you've heard those stories before. She was a little younger than me, so it's like Romeo and Juliet story. A lot of pressure, pressure to abort a baby. I'm going to tell you; I wasn't going to do it." (Anthony Bouchard)   The interview was with The Casper Star-Tribune newspaper, where the lawmaker claimed that the girl gave birth to a baby boy, and both of them ended up marrying each other when the girl turned 15, and he was 19 years old. [caption id="attachment_7583" align="aligncenter" width="1080"] Rep. Liz Cheney, who is facing Anthony Bouchard in Republicans' primary for the House seat. Despite Bouchard's confession, many Republicans are likely to support him because of his pro-Trump narrative.[/caption] A Statutory Rape: The Law Must Come into Action This surely is an act of statutory rape and deserves a proper inquiry against state senator Anthony Bouchard. The investigations will be even easier in this regard as Bouchard has already claimed the allegations. Liz Cheney has the opportunity to pursue the case of sexual crime against Anthony Bouchard to kick him out from the Republican primary at the initial stage. Whether or not Liz Cheney would pursue this case, Democrats can also do it, seeing the severity of the claims. Anthony Bouchard is a firm supporter of Donald Trump's conspiracy theories and a thorough critic of Liz Cheney.  This attribute of his personality is likely to overshadow these rape claims. Not many Republicans would want to go against Bouchard just because of his pro-Trump ideology. The Republicans' support would become even more firm to him, considering he is facing Liz Cheney. So, for the sake of canceling Liz Cheney, Republicans can go to any length, which would be clarified in the upcoming times. Liz Cheney will be alone in this legal battle against the wannabe representative if she pursues this case. Otherwise, if he wins the Republican primary and later on, midterm elections, a rapist would be added to t
he House.   Final Thoughts Instead of lamenting his actions, he started self-praising, narrating the story of how he and his partner resisted the pressure of abortion and gave birth to a child. He was glorifying himself for resisting the pressure both of them faced after the incident. According to him, as he was facing pressure to have her banished or hide somewhere, he decided to get married and take care of both of them. As they were living in Florida at that time, they would be prosecuted according to Florida laws. Currently, the age of consent in the state is 18, but the laws at the time of the event are not clear yet.  The statute of limitations currently in Florida laws is 4 years. If lawyers dig down deeper into the laws back at the event's time and find him being a violator of the law, and if the statute of limitation does not apply to him, he would definitely end up serving a punishment.

He described it as being “like Romeo and Juliet.”  His comment was not referencing the fact that she committed suicide six years later.
“So, bottom line, it’s a story when I was young, two teenagers, girl gets pregnant,” he said in the Facebook Live video. “You’ve heard those stories before. She was a little younger than me, so it’s like the Romeo and Juliet story.”
Bouchard told the Star-Tribune he married the girl when she was 15 and he was 19. At the time, they were both living in Florida.
