Just watched The Buccaneers (2023) for the second time and the finale destroyed even more.

All the girls sticking together to save Jinny. The voiceover of the conversation between the duchess and Mrs. St. George during the escape (“one daughter’s sacrifice for the other daughter’s freedom”!!!!😭). And then they added “Long Live” as the closing song to the season.

God, I balled my eyes out. Again.💀

I don’t you really get this ending unless you have an older sister that you sacrifice everything for.

What I also really love about the story is how they show how much a younger sister they can have because they need to fight for their older sister.

I hope there will be a season two!!!!😫

Jin and Hoseok brought dessert out to the table and your heart sank a little when you saw the coconut bars. Dessert was your favorite part of dinner but you always hated coconut things so this was not something you were looking forward to. Yet you still couldn’t turn down something sweet so you started to reach for the plate when Jin stopped you and placed a plate in front of you. Your eyes lit up when you saw the single chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting and little heart sprinkles. You jumped up to give him a kiss and he returned the gesture. “Jin always gives Y/N special treatment. You know we like cupcakes too.”, Taehyung whined. “Hey at least you didn’t have to drive all over Seoul with Jin looking for heart shaped sprinkles like I did.”, Jimin smirked. “Just ignore them. I love the cupcake. Thank you so much babe.”, you said before giving him another kiss. Jungkook whined at all the affection, “Seriously guys. Keep your hands off of each other when I’m around. You’re both my friends and this is just weird.” The room erupted with laughter as Jin shoved a whole coconut bar in Jungkook’s mouth to quiet him before heading off to get the dishes started.

A little while later you walked into the kitchen and saw Jin with his back to you washing something in the sink. Slowly you walked forward and wrapped your arms around his waist, “Thank you again for going out of your way to make me a cupcake. I really appreciate it.” Jin squeezed your arm, “Any thing for you Y/N. I know you hate coconut but the boys had been begging me to make those for a while.” The room went silent for a while before you spoke up. “There’s something I wanted to say for a while and it’s okay if you don’t want to say it back but I wanted you to know that I love you Jinnie.”, you said before placing a kiss to the middle of his back. He turned around and gave you a big smile, “I love you too Y/N. More than anything.”

You started to lean in for a kiss when you heard someone clearing their throat and you looked over to see the other six members standing in the doorway. “Awwwww did we just witness the first I love you?”, Taehyung asked. Jin threw a towel at the boys as Hoseok and Jimin started recreating the scene they all just witnessed while Jungkook started making exaggerated gagging sounds to make his displeasure known. Jin smiled down at you, “Just ignore them. Where were we again?”

A strip of his dark brown hair slipped out of the hair tie that was holding the long strands out of his face, gently falling against his temple which he swept away briefly with the back of his wrist as he turned to face you.

The smile on your face was nothing but joyous, your hands reaching for the ends of the white gown which you picked up and twirled around with a little giggle. The length of the dress dipped a little past your ankles even though you were holding it up, as you weren't wearing your heels and only just had your baby pink socks on.

"Come here," he held out a hand in your direction. Hyunjin found himself mirroring your smile, however, he quickly erupted into a series of chuckles when he noticed that his eyes were welling up with tears.

"Are you crying?"

"No way," Hyunjin laughed but wiped at his eyes nonetheless, standing up with a proud smile and walking towards you.

"You're just so beautiful, jagiya."

"Thank you," you giggled into your palm, reaching out for him when Hyunjin placed his hands out in front of you.

"Reminds me of the day I saw you for the first time with this dress on," he whispered in awe, his thumbs gently running across the skin of your hand as his eyes trailed over the intricate designs that were embroidered all over the dress.

"So pretty."

"You're making me all shy now," you smiled, tugging at his hands until he stood mere inches away from you. He looked down at you with fond eyes that had tears glistening in them, both arms slipping around your waist, being careful with every little touch so that he wouldn't destroy your dress in any way.

It reminded you of the day you walked down the aisle. Hyunjin was so cautious, because he found the dress that you were wearing so delicate that he didn't want to touch you in a way that could harm the dress in any way.

"Should I pull out my suit too?"

"Do you want to?"

He nodded eagerly.

"I wouldn't mind marrying you again. Right here, in our bedroom."

The laugh that bubbled out of your chest made Hyunjin grin from ear to ear, his grip on you loosening so that you could bend forward to lean into him while you laughed.

"Your suit is not even here, Jinnie," you chuckled fondly, gently touching the side of his face. You couldn't help but coo when he leaned into your touch with the softest of smiles.

"I just remembered that," he whispered, running his eyes over your dress once again.

"In that case," he blinked, reaching up for the hand that was on his face and bringing it to his lips so that he could place a kiss on the back of your hand.

It took you a moment to understand what he was trying to do, but soon enough, Hyunjin moved a step back so that he could get down on one knee, holding your left hand in his as he looked up at you with eyes shining with so much of love.

"Marry me."

Your heart leaped at his words.

It was so different from the night he proposed to you. Four years ago, although Hyunjin had it fully planned, he couldn't help but splutter out words that weren't even on his script out of nervousness, and you remembered laughing fondly at the way he couldn't even ask you to marry him until you just said yes.

The Hyunjin that was now on one knee in front of you was so much bolder. So much more confident. The stability in his voice told you that he was finally able to ask you the one question he failed to ask you four years ago.

After all, this was the very first time you had heard him ask you to marry him. Even though Hyunjin had apologized numerous times after the night he had somewhat proposed to you. Even though Hyunjin had asked you the same question - over text - after that night. This was the first time you heard these words from his mouth.

Almost in sync, a tear slipped past his eye at the same time it did from yours, his grip on your hand tightening at the sight.

"Yes."

Hyunjin couldn't help but laugh with joy when he heard you say yes, his head falling briefly at the action before he stood up and reached for your face, holding it within his palms and pulling you to him until he could kiss your lips.

"I should've been this confident that day," he murmured against your mouth, kissing your lips a few more times before he leaned up to place a long kiss on your forehead.

"I loved it, either way," you assured him, wrapping your arms around his frame when he took a tiny step forward to embrace you in a warm him.

"I know you did. You said yes even before I asked you to marry me."

"We both know you were too nervous to ask me that. We would've spent all night on that balcony if I had waited for you to ask me."

His chest buzzed with warm chuckles as he laughed at your playful teasing, gently patting your bare back before bending forward until his lips could reach your shoulder.

"Thank you for understanding me that day. Thank you for marrying me. I really couldn't be happier."

Your favorite thing about Hyunjin was how open he was with you. He never felt the need to hide his tears away from you, so when you pulled away from his hug to take a look at his face, Hyunjin never once stopped you.

"Don't cry, Jinnie," you whispered softly, letting your thumbs swipe away the tears that were slowly trailing down his cheeks.

He nodded with another laugh, assuring you that he was alright.

Soon enough, he took a hold of your hand and pulled you to his desk, taking a seat on his chair and tugging at your forearm.

"Come here, sit on my lap."

He didn't give you time to do it yourself though, gently pulling you until you were completely seated on his thighs, your arm holding onto his shoulder for support as he gripped your waist and placed a sweet kiss on your cheek.

"Look, I was making this for you."

You took a look at the design that he was sketching onto his iPad, a beautiful diamond in the shape of a heart along with a tiny delicate lavender flower right beside it.

"Is this a design for a pendant?"

"Does it look like one?" Hyunjin giggled as he looked back at his work once more.

"A little," you laughed, telling him that it was beautiful nonetheless.

"I made this with the intention to make a ring for you," he explained after a moment.

"I wanted to propose to you again. It's scary how you just decided to wear your wedding dress today. It's almost like I got a confirmation that I was doing the right thing."

"Really?" You turned a little to look into his eyes. He nodded.

"I wanted to give you the proposal of your dreams."

"What makes you think the proposal that night wasn't the proposal of my dreams?"

He should his head with a disappointed sigh.

"I messed up that day, jagiya. I still can't get over how nervous I was, I just ended up embarrassing myself. It's a surprise you agreed to marry me."

"Jinnie," you frowned, taking a hold of his face and making him look at you.

"I married you because I love you. Not because of the way you proposed to me. And that night was one of the best moments of my life. The fact that you wanted to marry me made me the happiest girl in the world."

"I know," he nodded, his eyes trained on your lips as your spoke. He briefly pecked your lips before looking back at his iPad.

"But I've been wanting to make this ring for you for almost a year now. I hope you like the design."

"It's beautiful," you murmured in awe, gazing at the intricate details that he had sketched onto the diamond.

"Like you," he smirked, kissing your shoulder playfully.

"So you'll marry me again, won't you?"

"You don't even need to ask."

"That's even funnier when you know the back story," he whined, referring to the way you were teasing him about the day you agreed to marry him even though he didn't ask you.
