ok so i read ttm and dear callum (and cried over both of them but that’s not important) and by my understanding that’s the only thing i had to read to understand what’s happening so i think i’m good

Episode 1

-“rebirthday” oh this is gonna hurt

-if dark magic eventually makes your hair turn white then why isn’t viren’s hair also white also he’s old

-are they really expecting the staff to still be there?

-ezran literally never questions any of callum’s dorkiness he’s always just like “you do you big bro”

-also ibis going from “powerful sky mage” to “dragonsitter” is so funny to me like there are so many more important things for him to do but nope he’s here trying to convince the prince to eat his vegetables

-also i’m pretty sure i’ve said this before i’m gonna ask again, are the runes for the wing spell tattooed on ibis’s arms or does he just like regularly repaint them? or after you do the spell once are they just there permanently? and if that’s so does callum also have the runes on his arms? he has to in some way because he just did the wing spell last episode

List of hc’s concerning a clown (mephi fgo) as requested

(Not ordered in any way, old hcs and new ones intermixed.)

-Do not put your clown in direct sunlight for extended periods, he will sunburn SO fast.

--Jeanne’s interlude? Where she thanks Mephi for helping her and his response is, open quotes, “Reeeally? I’m not used to this sort of thing, so I’m not quite sure how to respond to that. And makeup artist. he’d 100% help james/moriRuler/what have you, with his goofy makeup. edit FORGOT ABOUT THE CASINO DEALER TOO. At this point mephi’s just talented way outside the expected perimeters that aren’t combat. he does a LOT. buttling/butlering if he HAS to. etc. etc. etc. etc. talent clown.

--His eye color is startlingly inconsistent- Sometimes they’re blue and pink, and sometimes just plain Purple. I think in life they were blue without the pink. here’s a visual complaint. i do like the purple but it’s not... correct?

-There is a joke around here somewhere concerning what it means to have an “ego”. There is also a comment regarding clown gender around here somewhere. Spoilers: it’s a bomb down there. for emergencies. trans rigs. local baby homun goes to dad and says “im boy”. situation over. his ingame bio says ♂? you cannot fight me here. if he really needs to prove it, he’ll let euryale shoot him. for science.

--For the longest time I thought the make-up was permanent markings. In this house they’re permanent markings except when they’re not.

-Santa Mephi could potentially lead to a Krampus situation, especially if he ends up in half again. I would accept this. I’d also accept getting a costume and being an elf for someone else. I just want him to get into a christmas event for more than 1 seconds. as cute as a lily mephi would be, his spirit origin wouldnt be strong enough to be on it’s own. these are less HCs and more commentary

--I drew mephi in his lab coat once here, take it, and yes that Is an alchemy circle on his neck. Tattoo from Papa Faust. That’s kept covered up 100% of the time. no touchy. (DID DRAW HIM AGAIN RECENTLY BUT NOT DONE YET)

-bc of his panicked reaction to the large ghost in knk, secretly a bit scared of ghosts. a “bit”. only a “little” (BLATANT LIE)

--the tiny horns he can hide at will and are from innocent monster. two of his tails are from the same source. one tail he’s always had.

-this is the absolute hardest take on here, but i dont think he (mephi the homunculus) killed faust. the innocent monster mephi (the demon) would take CREDIT for it, but he’s just acting in accordance to the myth that he caused it, like how salieri’s totally fucked up. who actually killed faust? idk. the church probably. stop summoning demons and making shit. thats not very churchgoing of you. unless faust himself asks, in which case mephi is free to say “no, i didnt!”. cause he didnt and he liked dad outside of the whole “killing people” thing. (which i did NOT know about when that was decided. kept outta spite and it being too late to fix.)

--isn’t mephi gay in at least one version of Faust. I’d need to research that one. highest honor, slaps with both ace and bi labels and then leaves without explaining myself.

-mephi cares. mephi cares so Fucking Much and probably genuinely struggles with it. the one i write figured it out, kinda, but he’s lucky. canon mephi and generally accurate mephis have Issues with this.

--the mephi i write for is Lucky. the guda that summoned him (her name is Minako, mink for short) is a horror fan and as soon as she saw his name she was like “oh fuck yes”. in hindsight this is hilarious knowing now that Most People in Chaldea or In General do not like him. no wonder her mephis doing so well. Immediate Acceptance. i wrote that in fucking 2017 with a base knowledge of him. im not fixing it. im not linking it either bc i do need to rewrite a small segment. the og rp that came before that is from even EARLIER. mephi betraying his betrayal nature SPEEDRUN ANY % bc mink yelled “YES I LIKE YOU” immediately. again not changing this.

-hates being Not Clowny, esp. in public. he can tolerate it for short bursts, if its to fuck with everybody, or if he’s allowed to be an Absolute Menace the entire time.

--need a read on his emotions? cant trust his face? look at his tails. his hearts on his tails [i am booed off stage for the pun, and i shout “BUT ITS TRUE!” on the way out]. they wag, they wave, they curl up or go still. sometimes they all do different stuff. i know they’re meant to be one splitting into three but consider;;;; no?

-im like 90% sure he called mash his sister once as a joke in the knk event... he’s not far off. shes a designer baby (that hadn’t been revealed yet), hes a homunculus with an ego. hes like... the prototype to most homunculi and to mash. hes absolutely her older “brother” and if u fuck with her, he gets to kill you for free. from this, he absolutely accepts jokes about Lancelot being his dad. He thinks its Very Funny.

--his SERVANT name is Mephistopheles. named after the contract demon (NAME EXPUNGED). as a Just a Little Guy his name was Philetus and No One is allowed to use that. One of the few things hes serious about. (i don’t remember where i go that from. i think bc it sounded good. I genuinely don’t remember. something between the Pheles part and Philos (which is a name for a type of love, and also the name of a completely unrelated oc that has 0% to do with fate or any of this but. i think it was just bc it sounded good next to Faust or Faustus.)

update on above: Philetos means beloved so THATS also probably where it came from. faust cared him so goddamn much.

-since he’s very much not human, getting sick is a bit easier for him than the average servant. he also doesnt drink booze for the same reason. 0 to 100 speedrun of a clown eating SHIT.

--Something about being good at witchcraft so hes aware of the witching hour. local fake demon can just. abuse a magical extra hour.

-Always knows the time (HES ALWAYS COVERED IN CLOCKS, CMON). ... actually, even without the clocks. thats his Thing.

--Can and will loophole. Someone call a place Hell? Sure, that’s a hellscape now! He can now appear.

-I DID give a rough design for the contract demon and faust but not putting here.

I know this discourse is old as heck but just wanted to give my 2 cents on JK's tattoo: Why so many are willing to claim the OT7 theory as fact while shouting how JM+ARMY is BLASPHEMOUS and IMPOSSIBLE utterly baffles me. OT7 is dictated on and completely falls apart if it weren't for that one missing line in the A and even so the "evidence" for it is flimsy, fluctuating weirdly between stage names and real names, especially "Y means Yoongi" is such a weird notion (1)

because the Korean alphabet is structured completely different from the Roman one, why would JK care about the romanized version of YG's name, when Romanizations aren't even set in stone and can differ greatly? JK's name alone can be romanized as Jungkook or Jeongguk, Yoongi could be written as Yunki, Yonki or in some other languages that use the same system even Jungi. Why does RM get 2 letters when J, JM, JK and JH have to share the J? The "+" signs can easily be explained away either (2)as stylised dots, because A.R.M.Y was always an acronym. If we go into the JM side of things it's ridiculous how much more plausible it is. It's there written in plain sight, the J was added afterwards (that it lines up on the ringfinger means nothing imo btw, but whacky coincidence I guess), that RUN episode ... what even?? JK basically did the same of taking a pre-existing word and taking it apart to squeeze in a JM lol yadda yadda. I know I know this is all old news. My point is just: (3)Honestly the only reason I can't quite believe the JM+ARMY theory is because I refuse, REFUSE to believe that people in this day and age still get the name of their s/o permanently inked on their body lol, it's so sappy I think I'm gonna puke 🌈s and simultaneously gives my abandonement-issues-riddled ass anxiety lmao. Also I'm super sceptical of anything I see on screen and I don't want to pry more into their private lifes than they already have to expose to us (4)so when it comes to KM I always try to remain in my sphere of chaotic neutrality. I enjoy their moments and the memes greatly but always try to at least think up one counter-argument, to not completely succumb to blind bias and assumptions. So imagine my complete meltdown when I saw that tattoo because holy geez how the heck do you even explain that away xD??! The only thing I can come up with is ARMY+J for JK and thats at least a whole lot more plausible and less convoluted than the OT7 one (5)

TLDR: So if some ppl really so desperately want a non-Jikook interpretation (which doesn't even really have to be out of malicious intent) I don't get why people don't just headcanon that one, when it makes at least much more sense than the OT7 one PS: That we will never know anything for sure until Kook says it himself ofc goes without saying (Ok, I'm done, sorry for subjecting you to that, just wanted to see if some peeps feel the same 😅) (6/6)

But yeah it really does annoy me when people try to state the OT7 theory as fact when he has NEVER told us the meaning of his tattoos. Speculation is fine, but to me it crosses the line when that speculation is stated as fact. Whatever the tattoos mean, it’s incredibly personal to him and we have no right to parading around our theories as facts to anyone.

I hadn’t heard the J = JK theory, that’s an interesting idea I hadn’t thought of.

he also has a septum piercing and multiple ear piercings! i like to imagine his makeup as more stylised, so smokey purple eyeshadow and black eyeliner, mascara

HE HIDES HIS ALBINO BROWS AND LASHES behind dark makeup! But he doesnt hide his freckles so much anymore now that he's comfy with the light sides - black nail varnish ALWAYS, sometimes lets roman do cool nail art too

eventually he will be confident enough to wear more feminine clothes when he's big - sheer black lace dress over the top of pants and tshirt, blue and purple tartan skirt with fishnets, that kind of vibe

honestly what wouldnt he wear

he puts as much effort into his outfits as roman does but in the opposit direction, he wants to look as unsavoury and unapproachable as possible

leather pants that are too tight, practically see-through shirts (sheer fabric) to show off his nipple piercings and dozens of stick n poke tattoos, wears a necklace with vials of blood - he says they are all from different people but no one wants to ask how he got them

he has ear tunnels and wants to stretch them enough to fit his fist through. a lot of creepy jewelry - eg earrings made of real teeth, old doll parts, etc

Pairing: Leonard McCoy/Reader

Description: Unrequited love, grumpy Len, angst Part 2

A/N: 1. I posted a few days ago that I really liked the song “All the Pretty Girls” by Kaleo. This is my response to it. I don’t know I just felt a really strong connection between the song and Len. 2. I like the idea that no one but Jim calls our grumpy doctor, Bones so he will be called Len, Leonard, or Dr. McCoy for this unless Jim is in the scene. 3. This is only part one so I’ll probably have part two up this weekend. Thank you! :) Also! Please be kind… this is the first time I’ve tried to write anything that isn’t poetry.

Prologue:

All the pretty girls like Samuel Oh he really doesn’t share Though it’s more than he can handle Life is anything but fair, life is anything but fair

The first time Leonard McCoy sees you, you’re both sixteen. The first thing that runs through his mind is “Jesus Christ! This girl is gorgeous” It only takes him seconds to commit your beauty to memory. Permanently engrained like a tattoo on his subconscious.

The feeling of euphoria only lasts for a second or two as he moves his line of sight by one degree and feels deflated. Angry even. Because fuck you’re standing next to his best friend and the schools resident play boy, Samuel. The next thought that passes through his mind is that you’re new. You have to be. Because as much as he loves Sammy, and he really does, Len knows that he’s wooed literally every girl in the county. “She can’t possibly know.” he says to himself. He knows already by the way you carry yourself that you wouldn’t fall for his best friends tricks were you any the wiser. His suspicions are confirmed moments later when Sammy claps him on the back.

“Len? Dude! Earth to Leonard!” Sammy shouts knocking Leonard out of his reverie.

“What?” Leonard asks. Still slightly dazed. Looking up at his friend he suddenly realizes that their are people talking to him. “Oh hey, man! Sorry, guess ‘m still sleepin’.” Leonard drawls and you giggle causing him to snap his gaze over to you.

“Len, this here is Y/N Y/L/N. Y/N, this is Leonard McCoy.” Sammy introduces and Leonard is already holding out his hand to shake yours. “Len, this is Y/N’s first day. I’ve just been showing her around.” Samuel winks conspiratorially over at Leonard.

Just as soon as they turn older He’ll come and sweep them off their feet It’s only making me feel smaller All the hidden love beneath

After that first day you’re caught up in Samuels game and Leonards once happy demeanor around you, turns to bitter anger. And you can’t figure out why. “He seemed so sweet this morning.” You’d thought to yourself as you process the terse encounters with the hazel eyed boy.

He isn’t angry with you though. He’s angry with Sammy. His best friend of his full sixteen years, and Leonard can’t help the seething glare that he pins Sammy with from behind for the next two years of your lives.

After that first encounter Leonard had already fallen in love. The way his name fell off your tongue sent shivers down his spine. Leaving him wondering for the first time in his life, what it would feel like to run his fingers through your hair through fits of passion. “But its too late.” Leonard thinks to himself. “Life is anything but fair.”

And thats the way the next two years of Leonards life roll. Watching from a distance wistfully wondering what he had done to have fate play with his heart like this. Until graduation, Leonard is mopey and short with you. You can only coax a smile out of him when the charming boy you call your boyfriend isn’t around.

He’s finally able to escape this hell with the promises of the big city and a scholarship to the prestigious Emory University. His plan is to forget about you. To throw himself in to his studies. To become the “best damn doctor” he can. Because damnit he’s going to be happy. To move on and maybe even fall in love with someone that will love him back. And he does. He finally finds happiness. For a little while at least.

17 years later…

35 years old and Len is broken again. His wife has left him. The she-devil otherwise known as Jocelyn “took the whole damn planet in the divorce.” And what’s worse is that she’s taken his little girl with her. “Bitch.” He thinks as he’s awaiting sure death from space.

This is his last stitch effort. His last chance to escape his miserable life. The Star Fleet medical path is his sure fire way to distract himself and if this doesn’t work well then hell, Leonard really doesn’t know what to do.

Sail on by, sail on by for now They play naked in the water You know it’s hard, heaven knows I’ve tried But it just keeps getting harder

3 years later…

and Leonard is about to graduate for the third time in his life. And he’s praying to a God that he doesn’t believe in because he thinks that this might just be it. By this time tomorrow he will be a certified xeno-medical doctor. It took him significantly less time because he was already a doctor in the civilian world before he joined Star Fleet so he’s graduating early. Moving on with the man that has quickly become the best friend that he’s had since the one he hasn’t talked to in almost 21 years. Jim Kirk.

The cocky bastard has stood by Leonard since meeting him on the transport shuttle 3 years to the day. And now they’re moving on together. The U.S.S. Enterprise calls their name and in less than 48 hours the duo will be venturing in to the unknown. Boldly going where no man has gone before. . . or something like that.

Fates a bitch though because try as he might, Leonards past comes back to haunt him. And this time its harder. Because now its you.

After the Narada incident. After Jim succeeds Captain Pike and Commander Spock for the Captaincy. After Leonard assumes the role of Chief Medical Officer aboard the Enterprise they have to re-supply. New equipment, and after the lost crew has been buried, new personnel. Which means you.

You’ve been reassigned and are now the Head Nurse aboard the Fleets newest ship. And 21 years of pain and suffering come to smack the good doctor in the face the minute he sees you.

“Dr. McCoy, I’m Nurse Y/L/N. I’m you’re new head of nursing.” And fuck. . . if he doesn’t still recognize that sweet as sugar voice that he hasn’t heard in years.

“Y/N… “ he all but whispers. And your head snaps up at the use of your first name from that voice that you had long ago adored.

Leonard grabs your hand and pulls you in to his office, much to the bewilderment of the rest of his staff. “What are you doing here?” He asks as soon as he’s shut the door. He’s reeling. How can this be?

“Len, I… I can’t believe its you.” you say going up to him. All of a sudden as if you’ve noticed your proximity you step back a micro-meter of a step. Knowing in your mind that if you were to hop on to one of the bio-beds it would immediately begin to scream from the sheer force with which your heart is beating inside your chest. And whats more is that you know Leonard can tell.

He looks bewildered. Like he’s seen a ghost. And suddenly you can’t look at the man with whom you fell in love with the minute you met him. So you run. Like you did the first time.

And Leonard doesn’t know what to do. One second you were there. In his office. In his medbay! The next you were gone. And his mind is screaming at him. “Run! Run after her!” But he can’t. His feet are glued to the floor.

Suddenly though it’s like his feet are thinking for him and he’s sprinting after you. He can just make out your shiny locks as they disappear through the medbay doors and he’s on auto pilot.

“Y/N! wait! Darlin’ hold on.” and you do but not before knocking in to a door that you could have sworn was not there before. And then your on the ground. And Leonard is above you seconds later.

“Darlin’ are you okay?” He asks but your eyes are closed and you’re not responding. “Y/N! wake up sweetheart.” and again Leonard is praying to a God he doesn’t believe in to “Please let her be okay.” and he’s yelling at people around him to “give her some space damnit!”

Again, he’s on autopilot. Carrying you as fast as his legs will allow back to medbay and laying you on a biobed.

And then it’s a waiting game. Because your knocked out for, to Leonard, what seems like hours. Which gives Leonard the time to process all that has taken place.

So, here’s a picture of a suspended stone. It hangs on a three inch hawser I dug out of a dumpster. The rope was retired in the traditional fashion, without ceremony. In its working life it served as a dockline for a 100 foot wooden fishing boat called sunrise. When I went to thread the thing through the three inch hole in the stone I found it too snug, and had to parse out & hack off a strand. It took longer than I’d expected to cut, even with a sharp knife. Strong rope. The stone I’m not 100 percent on where I got it. Certainly I may have dragged it off a beach. I think that’s the most likely. I think I remember it being a bit softened from weather. Likely it came from rip rap downtown. A few years ago I walked all the rocks & pulled the ones I could do with anything less than a machine. This one is likely from that time. I have a long running and extensive collection of rocks with natural holes in them, not sure if I’ve discussed that here... but it’s- other than being a rock based obsession- unrelated to this blog. When I was working with Aragorn going to the quarry & picking rock for rock walls he found a drilled one in the man rock pile. I’m pretty sure he sold it as part of a landscape, but it got me on thinking about basalt & the way it crystallizes and can make such good crystals that they can withstand an internal blast in a drilled hole... as I said- I went and found all the local ones. So- I met this girl who has a little dinghy. Same as the ones I’ve had, hers is a little el toro painted starburst colors, and I used my interest in her boat as an excuse to get her number. Anyway, I asked her if she’d be into loading my rock in there & hanging it from the old ferry dock (as pictured). We’ve been spending a lot of time together. She helped me pick up the rock from where I’ve stored it at my uncles property, and round up the hawser & handy billy. The rock is not too heavy for me to lift, it is way too heavy for me to lift. She’s a small girl, and together we can barely manage to move it by tying the thing to the middle of a stick and doing the hunters bringing home the kill carry. To put it in the boat I had to put one end of the stick on a boulder & sweat the other end while she ice cream scooped the thing with her boat. It was a scene. Loading that thing in took quite a while with me barely able to support it with the stick, losing my strength, try again. And Taylor in the water maxing out her strength too, trying to control a heavy boat & scoop the rock just right... We put our wallets & phones in the truck, pretty sure we’d be going for a swim & probably sink the boat too. When I jumped into the boat with the rock & Taylor water gushed up through the centerboard trunk until we got balanced... We rowed out carefully, extra lines ready. Barefoot & armed with knives & beer. Totally unsure if we’d be able to get the thing out of the boat. But it worked. We did it. (Post removal) I have to do these things. It may start with an idea of the meaning, or just the flavor of the idea or the image with just the hint of the meaning. I guess this is my space to talk about meaning. That thing people say they’re finding in their lives. That thing people ask you what your tattoo signifies. Its not a thing that i talk about in my daily life. People who use the word daily are insufferable... needing more meaning than there is. Unable or unwilling to create their own, find it. Obsessed, dogged by it. Unsure why their attempts aren’t bringing them an authentic sense of meaning. In its elusiveness it galvanizes them & they become desperate. Trying to find meaning in the control of meaning, or force its creation. The flaneur seeking conversations The born again yoga woman The fake indian. Anyway- im pissed off. What i really wanted to talk about was what the rock came to mean to me. If you know me you might know that ive been doing this. And i have to tell you- i had some reservations about using a rock that had been drilled. Awhile ago when i was working for a landscaper i learned a bit about these rocks. Of course ive been collecting the natural versions forever, drilled quarry rock has some of the same characteristics that attract me to their natural cousins- with an added pop. These basalt quarry rock have not only been drilled but also blasted. Although im not completely familiar with the blasting program, i gather that those surviving with thier bore holes intact must represent areas of relative good crystallization (although i have broken one...) So, i just decided that a find is a find, wether it was the earth that left the spaces or people that did, its still a rock thats survived with a hole in it. Now, what does that mean. In one sense, its sexual. Its a womb. A protected space that functions as a gateway to and from security, or at least the security of someone potentially giving a damn about you. A rock with a hole in it symbolizes fertility as much as it does strength or permanence. Its a portal, a process, a chrysalis. The idea being that its a safe space to change & grow. Also like a womb, its a literal point of connection, and while the stone symbolized strength & permanence, the womb symbolism speaks to the transitory nature of connection. A perfect symbol, in a tidy package. I heard an artist friend say that any object in art that is taller than it is wide represents a phallus. I just heard this... not sure if im on board there... Counterpoint from douchebag culture: a hole is a hole is a hole. I guess you call that a supporting statement. So then, when you bring attachment into the mix by literally suspending the stone, now youre talking about the relationship between attachment & support. (And, dare i admit: dependance) However, in the case of stone that is pennant, you’re also talking about independance. I want to talk about alternatives to this life on this planet. I want to show you that although I’ve not chosen to pursue literal space colonization, I’m thinking on that scale, but internally. We can fly all our problems to a new planet and set up a real scene, right? plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose I want a real change. I want to understand gravity, i want to make rocks fly. I want to pick that ancient lock that holds us down. I want to find the hole in myself that i can be attached by, i want that for all of us. I want a planet where flying rocks do not mean bombs are blowing up. Or oppressed people are fighting back with the only weapons they have. So, is it about sex & violence? Yes. Is it about the fleeting way we get to even discuss these issues? Absolutely. It has all the meaning you can put into it. Its like a mirror in that it can be as beautiful as you can. Its specifically about other things too, this in particular. Those meanings above are things i brought with me. There are others too. Its a statement about our (as people) ownership of our spaces. It hanging from a ferry terminal. Ferries like bridges are about connection and communication, and the rock hangs in abandoned dockage, do the math. (It represents a rebirth of communication on a human scale, so now were talking about the failure of social media) Ownership of ones space in this sense does not mean control, rather, responsibility to. It marks the progression of our growing infrastructure, while simultaneously defying the rising waters to lick it. It also blocks traffic, or forces you to witness its silent protest And while it screams out this defiant feminity, its also yanging hard with its immensity & boldness. Its clearly human yet godlike assertion of its (searching for the right word) yeah. Presence? Creative... prescence? No doubt. Hard yang Hard enough for all that yin. But apparent it was too yin to be tolerated by the fucking boy scouts troupe leader.
