#sherlock #it might be the cough medicine but I'm really feeling the bbc sherlock wedding episode today #a good feeling ₍՞◌′ᵕ‵ू◌₎♡#like finding an old block of cheese in the back of the fridge you forgot about and its gotten super hard and chewy #i currently have half a block of gouda curating in the vegetable cupboard #waiting #how are you doing friends!! I still have the cough but I also got a new scarf #I'm still thinking about buying window colors as well but I am waiting if that is also just because of the cough medicine #I can't believe it's already been a year since I have moved! last year I was doing everything here for the first time #and now everything is happening for a second time! that year was both very long and also happened very fast #our floor in the “office” my father wanted to install still is not completly done but he threw up last time he tried #he did not threw up because of the floor but because every time he does a home renovation project he drinks 3 liters of Cherry Coca Cola #we are trying to not make him drink 3 liters of Cherry Coca Cola but he doesn't want anyone else to finish the floor I think so we just do #not mention the hole in the floor #have a nice autumn day friends!! My finished piece for Dottolus' Dotnomicon: Grimoire of Wonders! I was going for kind of a folk-magicky vibe with my one, heh. That's the Fortune Teller! :D #This style was so fun and cute at the time and I keep feeling nostalgic!#What was up in 2019 that kept having cute chibi styles #(It was the looser art style in general it was just sketching 24/7 pfft)#It's always good to revisit some lads that I've set down for a while ♪#I was hoping to get some new ideas for the HA map since the area is still kinda empty but nothin' doin' so far #The idea of making some modular isometric locations does sound kind fun tho :) I haven't cracked out my grid paper in ages #For the moment tho it's nice just to see some familiar faces #They're all still so cute hehe <3 #I'd like to add Todd and Keita to the chibi lineup as well! okay today was like the first time since surgery that i've been able to exist as a human outside my house!! and i had a great time even though i am PAYING FOR IT. HEAVILY 💀

#god my ribs are KILLING ME SLOWLY #anyway i had a good day 🥺🥺🥺 last night my partner and i woke up at the same time #bc we both had to pee. and i totally forgot but when we laid back down i told her ''i'm hungy..''#bc it was like 3 am and i didnt wanna get up. so i just wanted to complain lol #but she woke me up to a big breakfast she ordered in like ''hey it made me sad that you were hungry jn the night-#so i got you and i a big breakfast 🥺👉👈💖'' and UGH it made my heart so happy #and then we chilled out before i decided i could handle leaving home and wanted to go to the mall #and i had a really good time existing in public!!! im getting a little depressed from being bed bound #i FINALLY got after laughter on vinyl after wanting it for like almost 5 years 😭😭😭#and some cute stickers!!! anyway yeah i had a nice day w my baby and it made me happy 🥹💖#as much as im hurting badly rn it was worth it for the lil date 💖💖💖 pain meds should help soon anyway #im just glad to have finally gotten out of the house #chatter #round 2 #also let me just say my previous thoracotomy did NOT prepare me for this one.#turns out the open version is VERY DIFFERENT. which i knew but god its so stark when youre living it #p sure by 2 weeks post op last time i was relatively fine!!!! almost back to normal #oh and uh #autumn

We may not have the most exciting or blooming garden in the world but we do have:

Ladybirds living on the holly (eating aphids)

Blackbirds regularly hopping about, eating the few slugs that ever actually appear, and picking up leaves from the lawn for their nests

Finches, sparrows, and tits (haha) chattering to each other in crowds on the one small tree

Many different kinds of visiting bee and wasp

And this is relatively normal for a Scottish garden so it's not just us and even if we could do better by our wildlife, it still makes me happy to know they're there

#Also woodlice but they're everwhere round here #When we lived in England we even had a toad that lived at the bottom of the garden #We do try to make a hospitable environment for the species that come along but we're not very good at it #So we can't really take credit for this except in what we don't do or refuse to do #I think the key is to keep things somewhat tidy but not too much #Every other garden on our street- even the ones that are supposed to be wildlife friendly- are so TIDY #There's no fallen branches for insects to hide under and no worms and slugs in the lawn because of overcutting #Thus no food for birds and no places for them to hide either #We also have a hedgerow which helps #We also have a hedgerow of hawthorn and beech and holly instead of a fence so I think that helps #And for a long time we had an elderly dog who couldn't chase anything herself but it kept the cats away #(I love cats but they shouldn't be allowed to just roam around threatening wildlife and shitting in the flowers)#We could do much better #We need more early food for bees so I will try to remember to plant some muscarii or something this autumn #And we do need to do some tidying soon but on the whole I am happy with it #It's nice to think that the ordinary British garden can be adequate for wildlife without any work really #Obviously we could make it a haven if we put the work in #But it's as much about what we're NOT doing (excessive use of weedkiller and insecticides; overtidying)#As what we are doing (planting pollinator friendly plants)#Especially this year it's been a year of birds #There are SO many of them because they have lots of places to hide and it has a great result #Because the few slugs and things we have tend to get picked off by them before they do serious damae #And the slugs that don't I tend to spot and put in the compost heap where they can be useful #By contrast our small back garden is an awful example #Astroturf and paving stones and no shelter and no plants/food- even the weeds aren't flowering ones like dandelions #I'm gradually trying to improve it as we get a lot of sun and there are fences so less wind #It will be good for growing fruit and veg but there's no point in even putting birdseed or flowers back there #No birds or bees will go near it until we make substantial improvements #Even if I fill it with plants it will have no other wildlife except insects as there is nowhere for them to perch and hide #It will just be pots and paving stones

#river.txt #its only really been the past. year-ish? maybe less?#because before i was probably less in touch with my own emotions and definitely still had the habit of bottling shit up #and not to mention before that i was on this hardcore emotions/feelings diet lmao idk what else to call it #but i basically refused to acknowledge anything ever i was just straight up emotionless feelingless #but ever since therapy and opening up about stuff there and etc etc #i generally became more. sensitive to the inner workings of myself #And. the point of this post: to other people #so back to my sponge point #lately i really feel like a sponge because #i can be having an okay brain day and then one of my friends says they are upset or something happens or whatever #and im instantly feeling so fucking shit im all like oh ok nvm life bad actually life is so shit im so sad and/or angry #idk i cant explain it i just absord it so fast and it can instantly impact and change my own mood #like today i was in the mountains right. nice cozy autumnal time. felt chilled.#but then i was on the train back home and i started talking to a friend and we talked about all this. hmm.#shitty server stuff. just bad vibes. he is upset because of the same stuff as me too. we were both hurt by someone. etc #so we started discussing that but then it got more personal and he said how he is really not doing well and how hurt he is #and i just had a nice mountain time i was feeling ok but after this i was immediately just #so fucking down

thinking of that one sappy post that i love about how people from your past affect you through your whole life bc every time i watch star wars i read the opening scrawl aloud bc that's what we did the first time i ever watched the movies at age ten when my best friend invited me over for a marathon bc they were so appalled that i had never seen them before

yeah i dont really consider myself that socially anxious anymore [<- speaks on the phone about grownup things for 15 minutes and my fingertips start to sweat]

#I LOVE HAVING A BODY #särmäs sermons #good news everyboy i have acquired a summer job :) now if i only figured out what im gonna do once autumn rolls around....#.... that everyboy was a typo that i dont wanna fix actually #i still have to apply to schooling . tho im not sure if i HAVE to do it or if its just advised or whatever. i do want to its just that #i still dont know what the hell i wanna do. i had a little expedition at a woodworking/carpenter school #~vocational school~ that is. and im running outta time to apply so i could start in august.#seemed pretty fun seemed like the sorta thing i might WANT to do #but ive been noticing this. Thing. in my brain where nothing is fucking sticking to it #i dont know how to learn and also to keep that knowledge. cant see myself learning how to use all those big scary machines.#its really fucking with my confidence to even applyyyy even tho all the people there were so nice and confident that anyone could learnnnnn #oh well. these are my problems. there are others but i'll spiral about them once theyre more timely and relevant lmao #DO WE THINK I SHOULD TRY GETTING MY ASS TO SPEAK WITH A PROFESSIONAL
