Flores is I think the youngest of the daughters but ig it doesn't matter really since she's past tense now. And to grrm marriage order doesn't mean anything Garlan and Margaery married before Willas so ig it's who gets the offer os getting married

There’s nothing in either show or book canon that indicates Floris is the youngest (pretty sure it’s just a widespread fandom assumption). F&B stated Cassandra is eldest and Floris is prettiest, that’s it.

Remember that Willas is crippled, and in a masculine, physical society like Westeros, that can count a lot against his desirability even if he is the heir. It’s also possible that Olenna and/or Mace are holding out for an alliance with another kingdom, whereas Garlan is married to a Fossoway, who is a Reach banner man. Also Margaery is a girl, so her eligible time on the marriage market is seen as shorter. The age order matters more if the siblings are same gender IMO.

Think of it as the Bennet sisters’ dilemma in Pride and Prejudice. Lady Catherine might be ridiculous, but she has good reason to be aghast when she finds out the youngest sisters are out before the eldest are married. The eldest have less time before they’re “on the shelf,” and they don’t need their younger sisters distracting potential suitors.

For the Baratheon girls, assuming there isn’t a surprise little brother (which there is in canon), birth order is very important because the eldest will inherit. If something happens to Cassandra and she dies, then the next eldest (presumably Maris) inherits, and if she dies, then it’s the next eldest, etc.

The baratheons are one of my least liked houses for so many reasons... They are the only house who supported the green usurper fron the start till the end, and while they supported princess Rhaenys' claim during the great council. It was because, Lord Boremund Baratheon was Rgaenys' maternal uncle through his sister Jocelyn.

During the dance, his son lord Borrus baratheon will side with the greens, unlike his late father. All the lords sided with the party they liked because it served their interests, the greens knew that the baratheons would be great support to them, and would make the greens a bigger threat than they already are.

So Prince Aemond Targaryen was sent to Storm's End, [where Lucerys also dies, starting the dance] to get Lord Borros to side with Aegon II, by offering a betrothal between himself and one of Lord Borros' four daughters. It is unknown whether this marriage occurred prior to Aemond's death the next year. Lord Borros was reluctant to face the dragons during the war, but marched with his army towards the end of the war, seizing King's Landing for Aegon II during the Moon of the Three Kings, restoring the city to order. He was promised that his eldest daughter would marry King Aegon II, who had lost both his Queen, Helaena Targaryen, as well as both of his sons, during the war. Borros then marched against the approaching riverlander army, and fought in the Battle of the Kingsroad, where he was killed by young Lord Kermit Tully.

Listen, Cersei is a bad politician and makes decisions that are incredibly counterproductive to the Lannister and incredibly funny sometimes but holy shit putting Rubies (Rhaegar's symbolic gemstone) with her black "grieving" gown, which would essentially be her wearing Targaryen colors, for Robert after his death was such a fucking move.

Bravo, 10 out 10, nothing to say here,probably my favorite thing she ever does. This was the correct and only choice she could have made in this moment.

It's so petty and Robert frankly deserves it.
