“Johnny?” you pitifully look up at him, as he starts to get dressed, “Johnny where are you going?” your lip trembles, and you hold your blanket tighter around you, your body starting to rock, and you look towards the door, “Please, don’t go.”
“Oh, honey,” he walks closer to you, giving you a quick hug, “Sweet little Fireball, I can only stay as long as I pay.  I paid for two hours, and now we’re nearing that two hour mark.”
“But,” you pout at him, your eyes going misty, and he himself feels a pang at the thought of leaving you.  “But, I don’t want you to go.  You…y-y-you, um,” biting at your lip you look away, covering up your mouth when you whisper, “You’re my Alpha.”
“Oh, god, I was afraid of this.  I’m not.”
“You came here though.”
“I didn’t mark you,” you turn away from him, wiping along your nose, and Johnny gulps, looking himself in the mirror.  He broke a big rule.  This was never part of the plan.
“You knotted me.  I was saving myself for my Alpha.  That’s what I was trained to do.”
“Trained?”
“And you took that from me.  August was supposed to be my Alpha, because Frank couldn’t be.  Nick made me promises, and so did you, and you’re all liars!”  Your voice rings in his ears, and ashamed, he looks away.  “You all lied.  All of you!  Y-y-you just take and take with no regards to feelings.  I have done everything right, and everyone wants me and no one wants to claim me, and now I’m used,” grabbing up one of your trinket gifts from Nick, you throw it towards Johnny in a bit of rage.  “I hate all of you.  Alphas are useless.  Go away.”
Crossing your arms over your chest, you turn your back to Johnny.  “I will refuse to see you from now on.  I’ll tell Nick.”
“You won’t tell Nick anything.  Or Marshall, or anyone in charge.  You will keep your damn mouth shut if you know what’s good for you,” the Alpha command rattles to your bones.  And you hate him even more.  “If I pay enough, you’re greedy little Alpha’s running the Pony will let me in.  Just remember that Omega.  Do not threaten me.”
“And you said you wouldn’t knot me, liar.”
Johnny sighs, before walking over to your bed.  When you don’t turn to look at him, he stomps out of the door with a quick promise that he would be back, and you couldn’t keep him from seeing you.  You wait until he gets further away, and turn to where Johnny had been standing.  He left you one of his shirts.  You hate the pull to it you feel. Hate that the amber and rose of Johnny’s scent was beckoning you to it.  It wouldn’t hurt to cling to it, and cry.
You resist, but your eyes linger on it.  It was late, you were exhausted, and still an emptiness could be felt through your entire body.  A self loathing of why you were so stupid.  You were used up, and now not even August would want you.  Nick would know.  You were convinced that he could smell Johnny’s true scent all over you.
Your core was tender, and you hated them.  You were never meant for an Alpha anyways, ‘No daughter of mine will be with a Beta,’ you hear your dad’s voice ringing in your ear.  Slamming your hand on Johnny’s shirt you wrap it around your face, and slam yourself into the pillow.  The tears you had tried to hold inside now cascading down your pretty little face leaving their tracks all down your skin.
“Hey,” Steve says as he timidly peeks his head in the door.  You don’t even hear him with the wailing that you’re doing.  Johnny’s shirt making your nose raw with how much you rub it against your tender skin.  “Ahem,” he clears his throat, and you look over to him, and that’s when he sees your red rimmed eyes.  He rushes over to you, crawling in the bed, and you settle into him,
Steve takes a whiff of your scent, and you smell off.  “Whose shirt is that?”
“Johnny’s.”
“Why are you crying?”
“He left me,” you sob, leaning more into his little frame.  “H-h-he l-l-left me.”
“You know we’re not supposed to get attached to clients,” you pull him even closer to you, and he knows one of the reasons you’re off.  “Nick allowed him in here when you’re in heat?” he wraps his skinny arms around you, and rocks your body with him.  “What are we gonna do about you?”
“I want an Alpha.”
Steve sighs, shaking his head, “They have their own set of issues.  Overly protective.  Brooding.  Always asking if you’ve drunk your water.  Sending you random text messages.  They’re prone to anger outbursts, or that could just be Bucky.”
“I want that, and now, I’ll never know, though.  I was supposed to have one.  That’s what I was designed to do.  I trained for that moment, and…”
“What do you mean trained?” bashfully you look away from him.  You weren’t supposed to talk about that.  “What does that even mean, trained?  You’re born as an Omega, it just comes naturally.”
“Really?  All those others really act like they’re compliant.  Not even you follow the rules, Steven.  You test those Betas.  I have done everything right.”
“They’re not Alphas.”
“Omegas listen.  They are to be seen, not heard.  They follow orders.  They make nests for their pups.  And…”
“It’s about time you talk,” you shake your head no, and Steve presses his forehead against yours.  “No one else has to know.  Were you ever in love?”
“Once.”
“August?”
“Frank.”
Tumblr media
“Franklin,” you giggle as you peek around the tree.  “Franklin Adler,” seeing the boy next door come around the tree line, you hide yourself back behind the tree, but when he jumps in front of you, you start to run in the other direction.
“Maple!” Frank shouts at you as he chases you through the woods, “That’s not fair, I had you!”
“You’ll just have to try harder,” you giggle, but he catches up to you, tackling the both of you to the ground.  “Frankie!”
“I’m ten now, just Frank.”
“I’ll call you what  I please.”
“I’m older than you, I make the rules,” you stick your tongue out at him, and end up laughing when you try to wiggle out of his embrace, but he just tickles you.  “You give up?”
“Never!  You’ll never take me alive!”
“Maple Leaf!” Frank immediately stops, and stands up quickly, pulling you up with him when your mother comes around the corner.  “There you are.  I should have known you would be with Franklin.  It’s dinner time, and your mother is looking for you as well.”
“Is daddy home?” you ask, getting scared to think that your traditionalist father is already there, and with the dirty hands, and skinned up knees, he wouldn’t like it.
“He’s not.  I suggest you scurry on home, and get cleaned up before he arrives.”
Tumblr media
“Franklin,” your father opens the door to see a thirteen-year-old Frank standing at your front door.  “What can I do for you?”
“Can Maple come out and catch fireflies?  It’s the first day of summer.”
“With you being a future Alpha, do you promise to take care of her?” Frank nods his head, and your father opens the door wider for Frank to run up the stairs to your room.  Bursting through your door, and you give him the biggest smile.
“You ready?” He was getting taller, and that childlike friendship was turning into your biggest crush.  “I promise to protect you, so as your Alpha, behave.”
“You’re so stupid.  You haven’t presented, and neither have I.  What if I’m the Alpha.”
“Impossible.  You don’t have the qualifications.  You’re too sweet,” he shrugs his shoulder into you, causing you to get the biggest smile on your face, “You’re getting that glow around you.”
“Stop and let’s catch your fireflies,” before you start to walk out of your room, he grabs your wrist, “What are you doing?”
“No matter what we present as, you’re always going to be my Maple Leaf aren’t you?”
“You’re getting sappy, Frankie.”
“I’m being serious.  I don’t think I could live without you in my life.”
“I’ll always be your Maple Leaf.”
Tumblr media
“Frank,” you pout up at him.  “We can’t keep lying to him.”
“When you get old enough, he won’t care,” his fingers rub on your wrists, before he pulls you in close to him.  His nose rubs over your mating gland, and even he wonders if a Beta could ever be what you really needed.  He had his doubts, and you deserved the world.  “Maybe, we’ve been lying to ourselves.”
“No, I’m your Maple Leaf.”
“I’m a Beta.  You’re an Omega, and your father is getting suspicious,” you cling to him tighter, and he starts rocking the two of you back and forth.  He stubbly face nuzzling up against your head, “I can’t lie forever.  My mom is the only reason this has carried on for so long.”
“I can’t lose you.”
Tumblr media
“A Beta?” Your father storms into your room, pulling you away from Frank.  “Is that why you never had your introduction into society?  A fucking Beta!”
“Do not talk that way in front of her!” Your father backhands Frank, but he still stands tall, leaving you screaming for your father to stop.
“No daughter of mine will be with a Beta,” he drags your body down the stairs, and throws you into the car.  “You’re going away.”
“Daddy no!  I love him.”
“Useless.  He’ll never be able to take care of you.  You’re going to a finishing school.  They’ll teach you how to be a proper Omega.  Will help find you the perfect Alpha, who will love and honor you.  I’m doing this for you.”
Tumblr media
You stare up at the old house as you travel up the twisted road.  The House of Walker was only supposed to be a story they told Omegas to scare them into submission.  But the darkened house was right in front of you.  Right out of a horror movie.  The manor was huge, dark, and foreboding.  Spread out on a large bit of land, and out in the middle of nowhere.  You were warned, once you went in, you never came out, and you worried that your father was making a mistake.
“When you learn how to act as a proper Omega, maybe you can come home.  If not, I’ll let Mistress Walker find you a suitable mate.”
“Daddy, no.  I love Frank.”
“Suitable.  Had the Adler boy presented as an Alpha, as his mother promised he would, he would have been suitable.  Came from a good family.  Has money, you two would have made a fine pair.  As it were, he’ll never do.  It’s best for you to put him in your past.  You need a strong Alpha with lots of influence, and you will learn to mind.  Your mother was here.  The quicker you learn to comply.  The quicker you get out,” your eyes roll up to meet your father, and you’re back to looking at the haunted house.  Even the woman in black that waits for you at the entrance was terrifying.
Your father stops the car, and pushes you towards the door, “Go on.  Mistress Walker needs to assess you.”
Gulping you get out, and stand still, eyes casted down to the ground, and you miss her sinister smile.  She walks around your body, pinching bits and pieces of your body, before lifting your chin up.  Opening both of your eyes wider, before opening your mouth to view your teeth.  “She is quite small.”
“She’s a true Omega.  Easy to turn into the perfect one.”
“Pfft, there’s no such thing.  They’re all sniveling little brats, who just want to be told what to do,” she clearly wasn’t Omega.  “Fine, send her tuition, and all is fair.  Omega, up the stairs and then to the left.  Let’s see how well she follows basic rules, without a command.  You speak nothing of where your daughter is.  And should she prove to be the asset you claim, I’ll find her the perfect husband.”
“And Mistress Walker,” you father begins as he walks to his car.  Staring at the cold woman, never giving the door you walked in a second glance.  He didn’t care anymore, appearances matter.  And the daughter of a former president would have an Alpha.  “Any means necessary.  I want a true Omega daughter, no matter the method.”
Tumblr media
“August,” Mistress Walker glares at her grandson.  “I thought I warned you about stepping foot in my manor with a bunch of sniveling, whining Omegas.”
“Hmm,” he straightens his tie in the mirror, and readjusts his watch.  “Grandmama, you worry too much.  Maybe they need to understand what a real Alpha is like, and just what they could have, if they learned to comply,” she raises her brow at him, before returning to the cameras.  Her eyes steadily on you, while you sit in a submissive pose, facing towards the door.  It is true, you made historic progress.  You had become the perfect Omega.
“I always have to look ahead.  While I might have secured the election, there eventually will be another.  I almost lost.  Walker’s do not lose.  My campaign manager said an unmated Alpha looks bad to the public.  Why is it that I have this manor right at my finger tips, and I can’t claim my own Omega.  I need her beautiful, obedient, compliant, pure as the white rose, and I need her worthy of my hand.  Just think about your grandson as a senator for life.  I’m doing my duty as an Alpha, now do yours, and present to me your best Omegas.”
She wiggles her finger over to him, and he walks around her desk.  His eyes zero on you immediately.  The other Omegas were playing around, giggly ,and flippant.  You were submitting without a command.  Waiting on whoever came to gather you.
“I had to take some extreme approaches to get her that way.  Her father said whatever.  She’s also a virgin,” August’s face turns up into a smile.  “I tested her myself.  She’d look pretty on your arm.  But, should you have your little whores around, she will react, she wants to be the only one.  She would become a fine mother to your pups.  And her pretty neck would look better with your mark.  She’d wear it with honor like a fine piece of jewelry.”
August watches you closer, you weren’t even fidgeting.  Back straight, hands in your lap, and gaze hung low.  You were perfect.  “I don’t even have to Alpha command her anymore.  She’s conditioned to take whatever you give her.  Her father would be proud to have a Walker in his family.”
“Should I want whores, I will have them.  Especially since she will wait to take my knot until our wedding night.  What a fine publicity tour we could have.  The Public will love her.  And still I will wait,” his eyes look over you hungrily, and he licks at his canines.  Your tender neck looked ripe enough to bite now.
“Why’s that?”
“Once a dog has a taste of raw meat, they’re never the same.”
Tumblr media
“Omega,” you finally look up at the handsome man.  He wasn’t Frank, but you could do worse.  Barely even sniffing, and the room bursts in his scent, making you dizzy, wanting to keel over, but you sit still.  “Stand.”
Doing as you’re told you stand, with the clearing of his throat, you walk closer.  His thick fingers rub over your wrists, and leaning forward his nose nuzzles up against your mating gland, and you start to see double.  Eyes burst wide with lust, and you feel faint.  It was too much at one time.  “Suppressants aren’t even clouding your scent.  It’s beautiful, Omega.  I’ve come to take you away from this place.”
“You’re saving me?”
“Of course I am.  I mean to make you my mate.  We’ve got to get you some more fashionable clothes.  You’ll become a senator’s wife.  Perfect and obedient, right?”
“Yes, Alpha.  Whatever it is that you want.”
“There’s a good, Omega,” he chuckles when you stumble towards him at the praise, becoming drunk off his scent.  “This is the first day of the rest of your life.”

The security guard of the marina looked at your modest car dubiously as you pulled up to the entrance. Flashing your pass and license at him, he waves you through with a shrug. After coming home to Florida for the first time in nearly three and a half years, you had spent an uncomfortable evening with your family. Hoping for the holiday spirit would lighten the mood had proved fruitless. So, after several hours and more pointed conversations than you could stomach, you had no choice but to escape. You head to the one place where you had always found solace growing up, the water.
As you walked down the dock to your family’s boat slip, you could see there was only one other boat with lights on further down. The clink of tools and softly spoken curses were unmistakable as you carefully boarded your vessel and made your way down below. It was the same as you always remembered and the bottle of much needed whiskey was easily located. A highball glass, a perfectly square chunk of ice, and a stiff pour had you sighing in relief.
The night had been taxing to say the least. You had returned at the behest of your family to discuss an important matter. You were hopeful this would be a reconciliation of sorts and looked forward to telling them you were being transferred back to the area. The night had begun smoothly enough but as dinner progressed it became increasingly more obvious that the “important matter” was your need to move up in the world or marry well to stop embarrassing them all. You were a stain on the family reputation, the reprobate that chose to follow your heart rather than the family dictates.
Your musings are interrupted by a voice from above, “Ahoy there!”
Your eyes widen as you recognize the voice as smooth as the drink in your hand. You down the liquid contents and grab the bottle before taking the stairs up.
“Ahoy yourself,” you smirk as your eyes light on the handsome face of Frank Adler.
“Well, if the prodigal daughter hasn’t returned,” Frank smiles as he looks you over.
“Yup,” you pop the 'p' while pouring yourself another glass of the amber liquid.
“Shouldn’t you be home having a fancy dinner?”
“Been there, done that, and lost my appetite. Besides whiskey is a perfectly acceptable alternative to turkey,” you sip from your glass while studying him over the rim. Making up your mind, you smile at him, “Care to join me?”
“Permission to come aboard?” Frank raises a playful eyebrow.
“Granted,” you turn away coyly and return below. As expected, he follows you. “How have you been, my fellow prodigal?”
"Missing you mostly," Frank quips.
"Awwww, be still my heart," you sass back.
"How about you? Where have you been?" Frank's voice turned more serious as he found a seat on the couch and watched you fix his drink.
"Got away, finished school, found a job, and lived my life on my own terms. Not anyone else's. It's been great," you hand him the glass and sit next to him.
"What brings you back to town then?" Frank raises an eyebrow.
"My family asked me to visit. I hoped this would be a reconciliation but not so much," you shrug and then change the subject. "How's Mary?"
Frank gives a genuine smile, "She is a little sasshole."
"Sasshole?" You laugh. "Must take after her uncle."
"Definitely," Frank grins and launches into an explanation of Mary's college classes, girl scout troop, and growth as both a prodigy and a kid.
"Sounds like she's doing amazing," you study him over the rim of your glass. He looks the same, maybe somehow even more handsome than you remember. You’d always been so attracted to him but you knew his reputation and you were sure you had never been his type.
"Yeah. What about you?"
"I'm, uh, I'm moving back."
"Why? Your parents?" Frank’s brows knit together.
"No, I got a job offer. It's a dream job and I can't pass up the opportunity. Even if it is here," you explain.
"What happened tonight?" Frank asks the question he's had on the tip of his tongue since he first saw you. He knew you being here alone could only mean one thing.
"Same thing that always happens, Frank. I'm a stain on the family's pristine reputation. I need to move up or marry up in the world and stop embarrassing them with the demeaning work I do." You shake your head at the absurdity of it all.
"Your family is a piece of work," he shakes his head and shifts a little closer to you.
"Tell me about it " you roll your eyes.
"Of course, you know about mine. No room to talk."
You laugh and salute him with your glass, eyeing him as he leans in closer.
"You could always start dating me. That would give them another reason to look down on you," Frank winks.
"Oh no, they'd love that. Evelyn Adler's son! The brother of the brilliant mathematician that solved Navier-Stokes. What excellent stock to produce grandchildren from," you roll your eyes.
"Are you serious?" Franks asks incredulously.
"I don't know," you shrug.
"Is that why you were never interested in me?"
"What?" Your confused stare makes him chuckle.
"I mean, you always kept me at arms length. We'd always talk but you rarely flirted back whenever I saw you at Ferg's," Frank elbows you playfully.
"Pfft, you never flirted with me. Besides, you were looking for a one-nighter and that's not my style. You knew that," you look down at your glass, a little embarrassed.
"What if I had wanted more than that?" Frank asks.
"Frank, we both know that the only person you could commit to then was Mary. She took up your whole life except for Friday nights. That's all you had to give to anyone."
"Yeah," Frank sips his drink while staring into the distance. "Yeah, that's true. Still true in some ways."
"Just some ways?" You raise your eyebrow and shift a little closer to him.
"Yeah. Mary still takes up most of my time but…" he trails off, looking away.
"But what?" You prompt, forcing his gaze back to yours.
"But now I'm ready. I want to have the same person on those Friday nights. Eventually, in between Friday nights, too."
"What? Frank Adler is ready to commit!?!" You tease him.
"Yeah, I am," Frank scratches the back of his neck as if a little bit embarrassed.
"Anyone made the cut?"
"I was dating a teacher, Mary's teacher, for a while but it didn't really pan out."
"Sounds complicated," your lips twist.
"It was,” Frank chuckles.
"What about now?"
"Hadn't really been anyone who caught my attention until recently," Frank’s gaze makes your stomach drop.
"Do tell. Who's caught your eye recently?" You ask.
"Old acquaintance. Showed up out of nowhere. I hear she might even be moving back to town soon."
"Frank," you roll your eyes at his insinuation, trying to hide how you really feel.
"You really never realized I was flirting with you?"
"You never flirted with me!" Your mouth gapes in disbelief.
"Only every single time I saw you," Frank looks at you with raised eyebrows.
"No, you… We were just friends. You never-" cutting yourself off, you look back on the times over the years you ran into Frank. He was always sweet, solicitous but not flirtatious. He always complimented you but it was just him being nice. He- shit, you realize what an idiot you are. Frank seems to see the realization on your face and smirks.
"It's not Friday. Where is Mary?" You ask suddenly.
Frank seems caught off guard by the question,"Uh, Roberta has her for the night so I could work late. I needed to have that boat repair done by the morning. Why?"
Draining your glass and setting it on the table, you lean into Frank. His arms immediately go around you. Putting your lips close to his you say quietly, "It's not Friday so I won't be one of your Friday Night girls."
Frank looks at you with a grin, "Shouldn't I take you on a date first? If we're gonna do this right?"
"Frank," you say coyly, "we're the renegades. We do things our own way. Sometimes completely backwards."
"I have some backwards moves I can show you," he teases, nudging your nose with his.
You straighten, smile at him, and begin unbuttoning your shirt, "Then let's get started."

You Will Find Me: Chapter 9.
Tumblr media
Whoa it's been a hot minute since I wrote about these two! And sorry it's been a while! I had it in my drafts for long time, and I just wasn't happy with it...until now!
Also, this series almost coming to an end, with 4 more chapters left.
I know it's not one of biggest and popular series that I've written. But I love these two none the less, as it was one of my original OG fics.
Anyways, enough of me blabbing!
A big thanks to @hollybee8917 for betaing this!
Frank
It was late in the evening when Frank walked into the Inn. Beth was busy with the front desk, checking in the weekend guests. He looked around the lobby area, Sarah wasn’t anywhere in sight. Sighing, he headed to the restaurant and entered through the double doors. As he walked in, the whole place was in chaos due to the busy night. From there, he could see the bakery in full swing, and his beloved working.
He noticed Sarah’s smile as she laughed with the bakers, helping them make some items. But it quickly disappeared when she looked up from piping whipped cream onto the fresh fruit cake, looking at him for a moment before returning to what she was doing.
Frank would have gone over to her, but he could tell she was still mad. So with one last sigh, he turned and left the Inn. As he gathered his luggage, a taxi came around, stopping to pick Frank up. As the taxi was driving out the driveway, for some reason, maybe hope, Frank turned around thinking that somehow Sarah had a change of heart and ran after him as in those romantic movies they would watch. Slowly though, the Inn was fading away from his sight as the driver continued on. Frank made one last attempt to call her but was sent straight to voicemail. He took a deep breath and left a voicemail.
“I hope we can figure things out and I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me. We have been through so much together to just let it all go. I will wait for you to come back to me.”
**
The following morning, Frank arrived at his family home, his parent’s driver, Mr. Davis, pulled into their driveway and opened the car door once he’d parked and shut the engine off. Frank got out to see his mother was standing there.
“Where’s Sarah?” Evelyn asked as Frank walked up to the front. He sighed and looked toward his mother.
“Back at the Inn,” he said and walked into the house.
“Something happened, didn’t it?” Evelyn asked, knowing that something did indeed happen before her son came to see her.
Frank paused and turned around, “Nothing-“
“She’s starting to remember everything, am I correct?” Evelyn asked.
“Mother, I came here to help you, not to be interrogated” Frank said, changing the subject.
“I know that and I’m grateful, but you know, you can’t keep that a secret forever. From the beginning I’ve told you to be honest with her -“
“Mother, I can, I will keep it from her. I love her, and she’s-“
“But you’re being selfish. You know she belongs to someone else. You know that-“
“Cut it, mother!” Frank yelled and headed upstairs to his old bedroom.
“Franklin Adler, you can’t hide from this! The truth will eventually come out!” His mother yelled, as the door slammed shut.
**
Sarah
Beep
Beep
The annoying sound of her alarm clock blared in her ear. Moaning, Sarah rolled over, picked up her phone, and swiped the red button. Looking through one eye, the time read 3:30 am. Placing her phone down, Sarah kicked the sheets off and got up. The cold immediately hit her, and she grabbed her robe from the chair in front of her. She wrapped it around her, tying it nice and snug. Yawning once more, Sarah went to the bathroom to do her business.
As she got to the bottom of the stairs, Sarah headed to the bar to make her morning latte. She knew that she was still in her robe, in her nightgown and still looked like sleep had won the battle, but she didn’t care.
“You’re up early.” Sarah heard a familiar voice, causing her to turn around, Sarah smiled at Beth.
“Oh Beth, you know I’m always awake at this time.” Sarah said as she put the first two shots into her cup.
“That’s true, but honey, is everything okay? You seem upset.” Beth asked as she took a seat at the bar. Sarah thought for a moment, debating on if she should tell Betty.
“Frank and I argued last night,” Sarah said quietly.
Beth looked at her, knowing that something else was going on, but at the same time knowing that Sarah wasn't ready to tell the rest. Before Sarah could respond, the front desk phone rang, and Beth left to answer it.
**
Nat
While Steve took advantage of the boat tours, Natasha was sitting down in the lobby working on research. The kind lady at the front desk told Steve that Frank was out for the rest of the week and that their tour guide would be Lewis.
As Nat stared at her computer screen, she looked out to see that the sun was out amid clear skies. Smiling, Nat closed her laptop, packed everything, and headed out. It was warm as Nat strolled, a familiar voice was heard. As she continued to walk, the voice sounded more like a cry. Nat wanted to ignore it but the more she walked, the louder it got. The moment she got closer, the more familiar it became.
The woman sat on the bench, wiping her eyes as she wrapped her arms around her tight hoping the pain would go away. Nat then took a seat on the bench next to her. Not wanting to intrude, Nat gave her time to collect herself.
“Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t see you there.” Nat heard her say. Nat noticed that she was looking for a tissue when Nat grabbed a handkerchief in her purse and extended her hand to her. The woman tried to decline her offer, but Nat insisted.
“Thank you, you didn’t have to.” The woman said as she dabbed her eyes, and Nat smiled.
“It’s not a problem,” Nat said. The two sat in silence for a moment until Nat turned towards the woman.
“You seem to be alone; wanna join me for lunch?” Nat asked. The woman looked at her for a moment and smiled.
“I would like that, but I don’t even know who-“
“I’m Natasha. But my friends call me Nat.” The woman looked at her for a second.
“That’s a pretty name; I’m Sarah.” She said with a smile.

During the walk to the restaurant, Nat asked if she'd been there before, knowing she already knew the answer but needed to play dumb for a bit. Sarah told Nat she was the owner of the Inn. Nat gave a surprised look and apologized.
“Oh, don’t be sorry, Nat, I don’t expect people to know unless they see the website. But I do own this place with my fiancée.” Sarah said she led Nat inside. Nat then watched as she talked to the hostess, bringing them to the outside patio and looking over the beachside. It was a bit chilly, but luckily, the heater was on.
“I have to ask, but if it’s too personal, you don’t have-“
“How did I meet Frank? It’s fine, and I get that question a lot. But to answer your question, Frank saved me. I was involved in a serious car accident, he was driving by. My car was down in a ditch.” Sarah said quietly.
Nat looked at her in shock; then she noticed the scarring on her face. The more Nat looked at her, the more she knew that there was something more to this story. For her car to go down into the ditch? There had to be something that caused it to be that bad, not even Neal remembered what really happened.
“Anyways, enough sappiness; what are you in the mood for?” Sarah asked. Shaking her head, Nat smiled and picked up the menu.
“Well, last night, I had the Salmon Parcells. Oh, this looks good. The Spring Citrus Strawberry Salad.” Nat said. Sarah laughed as she too placed her menu down.
“My sous chef and I made that one. Do you like Feta Cheese?” Sarah asked, making Nat smiled.
“Of course, it reminds me of an old friend I had.” Nat said sadly, and Sarah looked at her.
“Oh, I’m sorry. Then-“
“No, it’s okay. She’s not gone. We just-she went missing, and I miss her dearly but I know she will come back.” Nat said, smiling through her pain.

Andy
Andy stepped out of the bathroom after a nice relaxing shower. He’d had a long night last night trying to find more information on his wife’s whereabouts. Even being a successful ADA, Andy couldn’t for the life of him figure out why he was at a dead end. Everything was leading him in circles. As he changed, Andy saw the black box on his side of the bed. He knew what it was, he’d placed it there the night he returned to this house. Now and then, he would take it out, and her memories would come flooding his mind.
He sat on the bed, letting everything sink in. Andy looked at the ring and placed it onto his left hand without thinking it out. The moment he had it on, he felt an instant connection: her voice, scent, everything.
“I’m coming, sweetheart,” Andy said out loud.
Beep
Beep
His phone rang, disturbing his thoughts. He placed the box down and grabbed his phone from his side table. Steve was on his screen, and Andy picked up right away.
Steve, what’s up? Anything new?
Andy, I do have news. And you’re not going to believe what I found.”

Then it led you to meet Dennis’s other “brothers”, a chain of accidents made you and them become closer. Little do you know, you’ve been marked by them, and they vow to cherish you until their life end.
A/N: No beta, English is not my first language, but all mistakes are mine.
Tumblr media
Today is your off day, you checked the fridge, and you find nothing.
Sigh as you close the door, you decide to go down the town, eat your brunch, and go to the grocery store to fill your fridge.
Mint green frill sleeve blouse, mango yellow long skirt, you check your outfits the last time. Take a deep breath, murmuring under breath
“It will be OK, just eating brunch, buying food, and you can go back. Yes, totally don't need to worry.”
You hope the the Cafeteria has self-service ordering machine as you ride your bike.
Tumblr media
The brunch was great, they did have some machines you need so you don't have to meet the barista.
But when you went to the grocery store, you and a man met in a aisle.
At first, you went to right side and tried to pass him. But he do the same side of you, you straight up, tried to go left side, and he shifted to left.
This time, you bumped into his strong and large arms. Congratulations =)
“I'm …I'm sorry! I didn't mean to…are you alright?”
You lifted your head up, then swallowed heavy
Oh my Diavolo, he's a delicious beafcake. What have you done so lucky to meet him?
“Um…no, it's ok. Actually it's my fault, I notice you move first and I just…be stupid I guess. I'm sorry.”
His sea foam blue eyes shining behind his glasses, the grey shirt showing his muscles under the fabrics, and his dark blonde hair…
Is he real? Or this attractive man just your imagination?
Blinked slowly, you offered a shy smile to him
“Well, you don't need to apologizes, sir. I would let you go first this time.” You took a gesture as you left some space for him
“Oh…uh hum, thank you, miss.”
You almost couldn't handle the urge to inhale when he passed you. The scents of juniper berry and coffee made you feel dizzy.
You released the breath you were holding, shaken the romance and unrealistic thoughts away, and focus on your shopping list again.
When you found the cereal was on the top shelf, you growled
“Seriously? Why can't the store offer some ladder or whatever to help their customers.”
You complained as you tipped your toes, try to get the cereal was hide in depth
“Miss, can I do something for you?”
A familiar voice showed up behind you, you turn to him as your act paused. Your sights shifted between the cereal and the man you just met a while ago
Then you nodded
“Yes, please. Can you get the cereal for me, sir? I can't reach it even I tip my toes.”
He stepped forward as you stepped back, let him take the cereal for you.
“How many box do you need, miss?”
“Two boxes are enough.”
He grabbed two boxes and place them into your cart. You offered him another smile
“Thanks for your help again, sir. You're so kind.”
“That's not a big deal. Hehe…um,can, could I know your name?”
He rested his hand on the back of his neck, laughed shyly, his eyes landed on your lips, then back to your eyes
“I mean, I think maybe we could drink some coffee sometime or…” The blush was covered up his face and his ears from his neck
Why a man could be so adorable? Why this man want to ask you out? But the more important, who are you dare to turn him down?
“If you're asking me out, then my answer is yes. I'd love to have a date with you.”
It's definitely not the sentences you'd said in normal, especially to a stranger, but his herbivore nature just woke your instinct that deep in your mind, you're a woman prefer to carnivore after all.
“My name is y/n l/n, you can call me y/n,my friend.”
“Dennis, Dennis Baker. It's nice to meet you, y/n.”
God help me, is today really my lucky day?
When you screaming internally, you didn't notice Dennis is looking over your shoulder and smirked
Behind your back, there were three other men staring at you and Dennis, and they smiled back.

Frank Adler x fem!reader
Word count: 2515
Summary: You and Frank ship up to Boston with Mary to visit your mother-in-law for the holidays. Unfortunately, you get snowed in, but that doesn't mean you and your husband aren't able to get a little hot and heavy. 😏
Warnings: smut (18+ only!!!!!!), some cursing, breeding kink, unprotected sex (m/f), tiny bit of fluff, sprinkle of corny jokes
Author's note: This is my second entry for @stargazingfangirl18, @navybrat817, and @drabblewithfrannybarnes’s Happy Hoelidays Challenge! I'm thrilled to be sharing this and happy that I've managed to write two fics for this challenge, a total of three fics in one month (a new record for me). 🥰
Thank you so much to Iva (@beefybuckrrito) for beta-reading this, making me laugh, and letting me blather on about my own breeding kink (oop!), especially when it comes to cranky Frankie. We all have to thank Thevy (@the-sal-del-mar) for the elaboration on nipple play and suggestions for reader's dirty talk. 🥴
(Dialogue prompts are in bold!)
-
Evelyn Adler was on your last goddamn nerve. It was your first Christmas with Frank after getting married in the fall, and you somehow ended up spending it snowed in at your mother-in-law’s home outside of Boston. Frank suggested that you and Mary join him in wearing ugly sweaters to dinner, insisting that he “had no idea” his mother required formal wear for the party she hosted on Christmas Eve.
From the moment you arrived that morning, Evelyn made you want to scream. She paid no attention to you or Frank until the two of you would try to sneak away for a moment. Then all of a sudden, she just needed Francis to check something with her car or she simply couldn’t allow you to attend the party with your hair looking like that. In a house as large as hers, you thought it would be easy to lose her, but she was always hot on your heels, deceptively saccharine insults at the ready.
For whatever reason, Evelyn stipulated that gifts be exchanged on Christmas Eve, after dinner and before dessert. She showered Mary with presents, including a desktop computer and several mathematics textbooks that were now out of print. Mary was elated, and you hoped that Evelyn had gotten at least one comparably nice gift for her son. To his (completely expected) dismay, Frank received two custom-made suits, one black and one navy. However, you were delighted, anxious to see how your newly minted husband looked in the expensive material.
“Thank you so much, Evelyn,” you smiled, hearing him mumble something about gotta be fuckin’ kidding me under his breath as your hand ever so slightly crept up his thigh.
“Oh, I almost forgot!” Evelyn rushed to the other side of the tree, retrieving a small, but beautifully wrapped box. She handed it to you, and upon feeling its weight, you hoped it was the new Bluetooth speaker you’d asked for. Knowing your mother-in-law, it was probably some expensive tchotchke, but you were surprised she’d gotten you anything at all.
You untied the ribbon carefully, wanting to save it to make a headband for Mary. You removed the wrapping paper to reveal a plain, white cardboard box. You smiled at Evelyn as you opened the box, gasping at her audacity when you found a large scented candle similar to one you’d purchased recently at Target. And of course, it wasn’t even a scent that you liked, rendering the thoughtless gift useless, too.
Frank clocked the tic of your jaw and the new tension in your neck, your tendons straining as he willed the steam not to escape your ears when Evelyn grinned and asked if you liked your present. He decided to defuse the situation before the bomb inevitably burst, taking advantage of Mary’s preoccupation with working on problems in her new Moleskine notebook with her rose gold and pearl Montblanc fountain pen.
“Honey, will you come upstairs with me for a sec? I think we forgot something. Come help me look?”
You looked at him in confusion before you noticed the slight nod of his head toward the staircase.
“Oh, right! Let’s go check. Thanks, Evelyn.” You flipped her off behind her back as you passed, making Frank chuckle and give your ass a light smack as you walked ahead of him.
As soon as Frank closed and locked the bedroom door behind you, you launched yourself into his arms, screeching into his chest.
“Your mother is actually insufferable, Adler. I cannot understand how you came from her.”
You walked in circles around the room, waving your hands so wildly that you began to resemble an air traffic controller. “It would have been better if she just didn’t give me anything. Do you see how calculatedly insulting she is? You know this already. I know you know this.”
You pulled at your hair as you rambled, your husband sitting at the edge of the bed and listening as you let it out. “She bought a ten-year-old a thousand-dollar pen! Who the actual fuck spends that much money on a pen, Frank? For a TEN-YEAR-OLD. I’m tempted to throw the candle through the front window like a brick. That’s all it’s good for since it smells like shit.”
Frank chuckled as he listened to you. He hated that you were so angry, but he’d be lying if he said his dick hated your passion in the moment.
“I’m sorry, Y/N. We shouldn’t have even come. I just didn’t want to disappoint Mary. She wanted to see the snow and I should have said n-”
You walked over to him and pressed a finger to his pouty lips, one of your favorite features of his. “You have nothing to apologize for, babe. And I’m not going to get an apology from the person who owes me - us - one.”
His hands found your waist, thumbs brushing back and forth in the pattern he knew instantly soothed you.
You ran your hands through his thick, messy hair, pulling his face to your belly. “Frankie?”
“Mhm.”
“Just promise me when we have our own children, we’re not going to do this shit.” His grip on you tightened. “We’re going to buy them normal presents. If they end up being geniuses like Mary, then they can do math with a mechanical pencil from the drugstore like everyone else.”
He pressed a kiss to your stomach before leaning back to look up at you, his normally bright, sky blue eyes now darkened like a hurricane was coming, and you were in a fucking rowboat with one oar.
But he let you continue, slowly standing up as you rattled on. “And if Evelyn wants to spend the holidays with her grandkids, she can come to Florida. I’m not dealing with her nonsense when we have little ones running around. I don’t need her immaturity on top of ev-”
You yelped as Frank backed you up into the wall, pinning you there with his thick thigh between your legs. “So children, huh? Like… more than one?”
You rolled your eyes at him in a lazy attempt to hide the way he quickly affected you. “Out of everything I said, that’s the only thing that stood out to you?”
“No, lots of things stood out, but now something else is standing out because of it.” He pressed his body against yours, glancing down between you.
You tried to duck away, but he kept you caged in with his arms and thigh. “You know, you pretend to be this brooding, mysterious man, but you’re actually just a giant cornball.”
“You love it.”
“I never said I didn’t.” You couldn’t help but giggle at his impatience when he started fiddling with the hem of your sweater.
He hummed as you subconsciously ground yourself down on his thigh. “Well, since we’ve established you love my corny ass, let me help you out of that ugly sweater.”
“Frank, there’s a whole party going on downstairs. We can’t. Your mother or Mary will come looking f-”
“Sweetheart, I wasn’t really asking.” You knew you were fucked (literally) when he switched to sweetheart from honey. Frank only broke out that term of endearment when he was about to wreck you thoroughly.
He bunched up your skirt past your hips after removing your sweater, mentally noting that he should not have purchased you a sweater covered in jingle bells if his intention was to remove it during a holiday party.
“Frank, is this why you told me to wear a skirt instead of jeans?” The last word of your question devolved into some kind of broken moan as he got to work nipping and sucking at the tops of your breasts.
He huffed and looked you in the eyes. “I can neither confirm nor deny whether this was premeditated. Now come on.” He tapped your hip, signaling you to hop up and wrap your legs around his unfairly narrow waist.
You dipped your head to kiss him as he worked his thumb over your clit, your folds exposed now that he’d pushed your panties to the side. You whined into his mouth as he teased you, scratching your back against the wall.
“If I knew just talking about having kids would make you lose your mind, I’d have mentioned it SO much sooner, fuck.” Your eyes closed as his lips found one of the more sensitive spots on your throat.
With that, Frank harshly thrust two thick fingers inside you, pleased to find you were more than wet and wanting enough to take him. “Love getting you all worked up for me like this, sweetheart. Don’t even need to prep you.”
“Good. We don’t have time for you to prep me, Adler.” You clenched around his fingers for good measure. “Bed. Now.”
“So bossy, Adler,” he whispered in between kisses as he walked you over to the bed, laying you down gently before removing his jeans and boxers.
“Sweater, too. We are not trying to conceive while you’re wearing that thing,” scrunching your nose at his knit monstrosity depicting the Boston Tea Party, complete with 1776 emblazoned across the back in metallic silver thread.
He hummed as he kissed across your chest before standing up to remove his clothes. “So good to me, Y/N. Gonna give you the best gift of all.”
You raised your eyebrows at him as he rested his weight on top of you. “Yeah? What’s that?”
He smirked as he reached between you, lining himself up with your aching heat. “A belly full of me.”
“So corny,” you whisper-moaned as he sank into you, rendering you unable to talk back to him for once.
Although you and Frank had been sleeping together for the better part of three years, you were amazed by how full you felt every single time. Although his hands were rough from his work, his touch was always gentle, as if you were a rare book whose pages he couldn’t wait to turn. Even when you were in a rush or wanted it rough, he treated you with such care and warmth, only the sun itself might compare. The way he handled your body and your heart made you think you were meant to be.
Frank kissed you, using his tongue to silence your moans as he thrust into you once, twice, three times. Covering your mouth with his large hand, he nipped at your throat. “Love when you just let me take you like this, sweetheart,” he breathed into your ear. “So damn tight and all mine.”
Frank had you fluttering around him in what felt like no time at all. His filthy words combined with his expert motions brought you to the brink without fail, a skill in which he took the greatest pride. Each purposeful stroke had you arching your back beneath him, head empty apart from thoughts of how good he felt in and around you, completely oblivious to the knowledge of the party continuing mere feet away from where you laid.
Supporting his weight on his forearm, he used his other hand to guide your breast to his mouth, nibbling and licking at your soft flesh, then catching your nipple lightly between his teeth before sucking on the hardened nub. This was another trick he employed when time was of the essence, which was often, given your living situation. You certainly had no complaints when his stubble scratched against your skin as he pulled away to blow cool air over the wetness he left behind, causing you to clench. He chuckled when you bucked your hips to meet his, pleased with how worked up he’d gotten you through such a simple act.
“Frank, shit, I’m close. P- please, baby, please.” You were reduced to a babbling, whimpering mess as your husband continued fucking into you. He throbbed inside you and his pace faltered, both signs that he was reaching his peak as quickly as you were.
“God, sweetheart, you’re so beautiful like this, but the thought of you all round and glowy because of me? Makes me wanna keep you full all day, every day.” You couldn’t form a complete sentence, so your response was delivered in the form of scratches down his muscular back - souvenirs you were happy to leave behind once Frank told you he loved being marked by you.
On instinct, you wrapped your legs around his waist, your heels pressing into his toned ass, making it so his thrusts were shorter, but deeper. As you tightened around him, he let out a moan so feral, you were granted a moment of clarity and wanted to send him over the edge.
“Come on, Frankie, please give it to me,” you murmured in his ear. “Gonna let me make you a daddy?” You gripped him tight, holding him impossibly close to you as you mouthed at his throat.
Frank pounded into you with abandon, slamming the headboard into the wall again and again until you let out a broken whine, finally creaming around him. He damn near roared as he came, biting down on your shoulder and filling you to the brim. He chained kisses up your neck and across your jaw before reaching your lips, loving you sweet and slow in contrast to what you’d just shared.
He sagged against you for a moment as you both attempted to steady your breathing. “I love you so damn much, baby. Thank you for giving me everything.”
You smiled while you lazily ran your fingers through his hair. “I love you more, Frankie… We’d better get cleaned up before someone comes looking for us.”
He groaned and reluctantly pulled out of you, his cock twitching as he watched your combined release spilling from your swollen folds. He walked to the en suite bathroom, returning with a damp cloth to wipe up your thighs, avoiding your messy center.
He didn’t give you a chance to reprimand him, pulling your panties back into place and chuckling at your face, twisted in mild discomfort. He ghosted his fingers over the wet spot developing on the fabric.“Nuh-uh, baby. Gotta keep you filled with me. Make sure it takes.”
You squinted at him before your face broke into a grin. “C’mere, handsome,” you mumbled, kissing him once more before straightening yourselves up and returning to the party, astounded that you managed to restore your pre-sexcapades appearance.
As the two of you joined family and friends at the table for dessert, Evelyn took notice that Frank only had one slice of pie and two cookies on his plate. Anyone who paid attention to Frank for more than two minutes knew he wasn’t a big sweets guy, preferring chips and dips to cakes and puddings.
“Is something wrong, Francis? Is there nothing you like?”
He smiled warmly as he squeezed your thigh under the table. “Oh, everything’s great,” he simpered, mocking her fake concern. He slid his hand up your thigh, slipping his fingers past the hem of your skirt. “I think I just overdid it on the stuffing.”

Love On The Brain: Part 3
It was Ari who first noticed your restful state, and it was Ari who first made a note of the soft trilling that had come from an omega who was at peace, even if that peace was temporary. You were so physically and emotionally exhausted that it took you mere minutes to fall asleep and only a few more for you to push yourself against Jensen while Ari drove.
As Ari looked at the rearview mirror, his blue eyes scanned you two sitting in the back, while Jensen had his arm around your waist and held you to his side, perfectly positioning your head in the crook of his neck as if you were made for each other.
As if you were made for all of them.
“You can sense it,” Jensen finally spoke after moments of silence in between the two.
“Sense what?” Ari asked, tightening his fingers around the steering wheel.
"Her exhaustion. She has no energy left. She's fearful, she's anxious, but-"
“She's relieved,” Ari finished for him. "She's in a pack now and feels safe."
“They we’re on the run for three years, and before that-“ Jensen stopped speaking when he heard you whine, and as he glanced down at you, he noted your furrowed brow and your pursed lips.
You were sleeping against him, finally having a deep and restful sleep cycle, yet it seemed you were reacting to what they were talking about. It seemed you were listening to Jensen and Ari even though you weren’t conscious and could not control your facial expressions.
“Frank Adler is a social worker.” Ari looked through the rearview mirror, locking eyes with Jensen through the reflective surface. “She got caught with a fake ID after trying to buy illegal suppressants.”
“Shit.” Jensen cursed, regretting shifting in the way he had when you made a noise that sounded pained. It wasn’t quite a whimper of a whine, but maybe a verbal complaint that made the alpha you were sleeping on release his own quiet and nearly incomprehensible whine.
Was it possible to meet an omega and feel that instant connection? Was it possible for an alpha to meet an omega and instantly feel like they were meant to be mates?
Could the idea of ‘perfect mates’ be explained by the rarity of omegas in the world?
There were 328.5 million people in the united states, and of that population, only 2 million were omegas. It was a significant decline from when omegas, alphas and betas were far more even in the percentage of the population.
The decline came after the mistreatment of omegas and the domestic and sexual servitude, which had eventually led to fewer omegas being born over an alarming period. There were 326 million more alphas and betas than omegas, and the balance was entirely thrown off.
That rapid decline led to initiatives being put in place.
The government formed O.A.D., an organization created to deal with such a crisis. And thus, the decision was made to have omegas assigned to a pack of alphas, who would keep them safe and protected to hopefully boost the population of omegas by reintroducing a secure environment. The O.A.D. was meant to help omegas survive and thrive with a pack of alphas who would not only keep them safe but also prevent them from being trafficked, used as human incubators, and breeding vessels.
And yet, omegas were being trafficked regularly. Traffickers could disguise themselves as a pack, find themselves in the care of an omega they were supposed to keep safe and still end up forcing them into sexual servitude.
It was what Ari and Jensen were trying to prevent. They attempted to find and stop the trafficking rings and save any omegas from falling to that same fate. When Frank had called Andy, when you had the charges of assault laid against you, and Andy had spoken to Ari, Jake, Steve and Bucky about forming a pack, your name was recognized.
Ari and Jensen were aware of you. You had been on their watch list three years ago for a potential trafficking target, only you had disappeared and had gone on the run. They knew you had helped to go on the run, to shirk the alphas who had wanted you, but they weren’t aware of who it could have been, and they had more cases to work on.
They moved on, and you had slipped from their minds until they received a file from Andy. You had resurfaced with an alpha, and because of your charge, which had since been cleared, the OAD had good reason to send you back to the pack that wanted you three years ago.
To save you, to keep you from a fate that would be worse than death, they had formed a pack of their own with you at the core. If they hadn’t intervened, they knew that the fate you would meet would be one of many omegas that had succumbed to either the ‘breeding houses’ hidden in the states or somewhere in Europe, or you would sold/traded to a wealthy pack of alphas who would use you as their pleasure toy.
If the interaction had continued with the traffickers disguised as a formed alpha pack, it would be up to Jensen and Ari, their team, to intercept your transport before you were handed off to your final destination. And if they had failed and you were moved beyond the borders of the united states, then it would fall to Steve and Bucky to try and intercept your descent into the clutches of corrupted and debauched alphas who thought they were within their rights to use omegas as they pleased and discard them to the lesser crowds when they were ready to move on to a new omega.
There could have been only a few days or months between them, or there could have been years. An omega can remain in the grasps of the gluttonous alphas for years before being cast down the social ladder, broken and weak and stuck in a vicious cycle told "they were nothing but toys." and that their worth is limited.
Bucky and Steve had been part of a team that went undercover in order to infiltrate and stop these trafficking rings before they began, but not every omega they found could be saved and returned to any normality. Those omegas that had managed to survive were nothing more than shells of who they once were. Having resources to aid in stopping these crimes against omegas was the international committee's objective, but often it was too late.
Most of the omegas who were rescued and saved had lost themselves in their suffering.
“If we hadn’t intervened,” Ari knew what Jake was thinking; he could see the contemplation on his face as he studied you sleeping against him, “we both know what would’ve happened.”
“But does she?” Jensen questioned, lifting his head and then turning his attention to the scenery passing by through the windows in the backseats of the SUV. They were nearly there; it would only be a matter of ten minutes before they were at the estate, and you would officially be in the midst of every alpha that would be yours.
“She doesn’t need to.” Ari turned from the main road to a side road, driving on the gravel road until a bend in the road that would ultimately lead to the gated entrance.
When Ari stopped the SUV in front of the gate, he rolled down the driver’s side window and reached out, pressing the correct code sequence to grant them access to the grounds. After the code was punched in, the two thick steel gates hard started to open, allowing them to continue the ascent to the house at the end of the drive.
It was only a matter of moments before the large black SUV came to a stop in front of the 19th-century lake house, and as Ari had put the vehicle into park, he glanced over his right shoulder, watching Jensen slowly start to shake you although your descent from slumber was slow.
“Omega,” Jensen raised straighter his right index finger and lightly poked you in the cheek, trying to ease you into consciousness, whistling as he did so.
“Jensen,” Ari grunted, his eyes narrowing, “you don’t need to poke her like that. Or whistle.”
He trailed his fingertips down your arm and back again as he complained, "I don't want to wake her. She's so tired. And she's so cute when she's sleeping."
“Cute or not,” Ari turned the vehicle off and then shifted in the driver’s seat to reach behind him, his large and heavy hand resting on your knee, “she needs to get up.”
“Ari-“ Jensen protested, whining as if this disturbance was being inflicted on him.
“Hi sweetheart," Ari shook you gently, "we're here." "Wake up, honey."
There was an inhale of air and the gentle stirring of you against Jensen as you became spatially aware of where you were and who you were leaning against. As your hand wandered across his right pectoral, there was a sense of clarity that settled within you, that had soon given way to a state of shock.
Your eyes flew wide open then you found yourself studying the firm and broad chest of alpha while you felt the soft cotton of his black graphic shirt. There was an image of a red gun on the front with some incomprehensible writing below and above the handle. Your fingers had been running along with the detail on the front of his shirt, feeling the strength of his pectoral and the expanse of his chest while you were canoodling against him.
“Oh my god!” Sense and reason came back to you, and the moment after you realized what you’d done, you had shot away from him to the other side of the seat in a panic.
“Good morning, sunshine. Hope you slept well.”
Not only were you feeling up one of the alphas who had saved you, but you had been tucked into his side, sleeping on him. You were using his large body as your pillow while your hand was pressed against his pectoral and your mouth was inches from his neck.
“Oh god…I slept on you the whole time?!” You squeaked, your gaze flirting between Jake Jensen and Ari Levinson. “The entire time..?”
“We’re here, sweetheart.” Ari motioned with a nod of his head toward the house. “They’re all waiting for you.”
They may have all been waiting for you, but you couldn’t get the fact that you had spent the entirety of the trip from the airport to the estate, using alpha as your body pillow.
Had you remained that unaware? Or did you turn a blind eye to the way you were sleeping against him for the sake of having a profound slumber?
“I’m sorry.” You rushed through an apology. “I didn’t mean to use you as a…pillow.”
“It’s fine. I didn’t mind.” Jake blushed and rubbed the back of his neck, averting his eyes as if you were making him anxious. “I…you…smell nice. Your scent is lovely. Your scent-“
“Leave him, sweetheart,” Ari glanced between you and Jake, “he’ll be there all day trying to finish.”
“Right…” you reached for the silver handle built into the left side passenger door, pulling on the handle and pushing the door with your foot. “Well…thanks anyway.”
You slid off the seat and stepped out of the SUV, sweeping your eyes across the front of the house. It wasn’t just a 19th-century house; it was something so much more.
And it was far grander than you could’ve imagined. The front of the house was encased in stone rocks, with two large pillars that supported the Porte-cochere, and bathed the solid wood doors in the shade, giving a relief from the heat when it was summer.
The double French wooden doors that led to the inside of the house were stained white with brass handles, and both were closed, though not for long. You had just stepped onto the front porch when the door on the left swung wide open, and Frank came into view.
“Hi-“ you squeaked and had been cut off when Frank pulled you into his arms, your lungs feeling as if his tight embrace was compressing them.
“You’re okay.” He pulled away and studied every inch of you, his gaze heavily scrutinizing you as if there would be some invisible wounds hidden beneath your clothes.
“Why were you so worried?” You were distracted, but it was hard to stay focused when there were two alphas behind you watching you with equal levels of intensity and the other three inside, not far behind Frank.
“They could’ve held you longer.” Frank’s eyebrows were furrowed; the wrinkle between his brows was a telling sign of his distress from the moment he had to leave. And until you had gotten back, he seemed worried.
You reached out and touched the wrinkle between his brows and matched his expression. There was an influx of testosterone in the house and the thorough and heady mix of alpha scents that created this powerful invisible cloud that slammed right into you.
It was hard not to ignore the way their scents seemed to seek you out like some haunted fog as if their scents were living organisms that had no other purpose but to find an omega and consume them. All of their perfumes were being projected, almost as if they were battling each other to see which could become more potent than the last.
“I’m fine.” It felt like a lie, telling him you were fine while your stomach was tightening from the influx of alpha scents and your inevitable induction into a pack of six alphas. “I’m-“
“Your scent is different,” Frank grunted and leaned in, sliding his hands around your waist to your hips, his fingers digging into your jeans.
“Yeah…about that…” you could feel Jake’s gaze from behind you, the steadiness of his eyes simultaneously filling you with heat and a glimmer of discomfort. “I slept the whole way-“
“You can use me as your pillow whenever you want. I didn’t mind.” Jake pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose, that same blush on his cheeks.
You smiled small when he passed, although your smile fell when you felt Frank’s hands tighten on your hips and the sudden burst of jealousy that made him growl under his breath. He was acting on possession, and the three years he spent alone with you had given him some manner of entitlement. As if the three years you’d spent together meant he had a leg up on all the other alphas.
“Frank-“
“We talked about this, Adler.” The door was opened wider, and the appearance of another alpha had caught your attention.
Your eyes were immediately drawn to the alpha, which was massive in size with shoulders a little wider than Ari’s and a chest that was just as broad. His biceps were well defined and had been strained against the plain grey shirt he wore, the exact definition carrying through the rest of his abdomen and even further into the pair of dark black jeans he wore.
His messy blonde hair was styled and slicked back, in a coif, his blue-green eyes moving from the alpha who had a firm hold on your hips and had been attempting to show his possession to you. His blue-green eyes lingered on you, studying you with a half-smirk tugging at his lips.
He was massive, and he made you feel even smaller than Ari had. You knew who he was the moment he stepped through the door, the moment your eyes landed on the powerful and intimidating alpha who was part of an international effort to save omegas from trafficking.
And his scent matched his power as an alpha. Now that he was here, standing so close to you, his scent had radiated and at the root of it was the smell of aged parchment and books, some earthy spice and firewood. The combination was as comforting and homey as Frank’s scent of saltwater and gin, citrus and teakwood, the two of them stirring some deep warmth in your belly. His approach had you pulling away from Frank and leaning toward Steve, despite half of you being intimidated by the large alphas size and sheer strength.
“Steve,” you swallowed the thick pill in your throat, “right?”
“You talked,” Frank growled again, his hands tightening around you, speaking of the topic previous, “I didn’t listen.”
“Steve Rogers, little flower.” He reached out with his hand and drew the back of his finger down the side of your cheek, the warmth from his affection trailing after his finger. “We’ve been waiting for you.”
Jake and Ari had gone in already, passing by you without you noticing. The other alphas were close but not immediately set after the door like you had initially thought. They had dispersed within the house, giving you some brief moment of peace from the whole of them, leaving you with Frank and Steve.
“I didn’t mean to.” You mumbled in a daze, still within Frank’s embrace and being figuratively compressed by their combining scents. “I wish I hadn’t been stopped at all.”
“They were pre-cautious,” Steve added, with the intent to offer you comfort, after which he had held out his hand for you to take. “I can show you around, omega.”
“Or I can,” Frank interjected, stepping closer to you, attempting to cut Steve off. “We should probably talk anyway.”
He was envious. He was struck with jealousy, and you knew he couldn’t be blamed. For three years, it was you and Frank. For three years, he was the only alpha you had to depend on, and now there were five others. Five other alphas could and would provide everything you needed. It wasn’t just Frank; it wouldn’t be Frank and you alone anymore, and after three years, envy and jealousy were to be expected.
And you would be caught between them.
“You can’t keep her to yourself, Adler.” The warning came from further within the house, a moment before you slipped out of his grasp and allowed Steve to take your hand in his.
As you followed him through the door, you looked over your shoulder to gaze at Frank. He was following behind you with an expression of aggravation, the irritancy that seemed to radiate from him positively.
You almost wanted to make a comment or throw a little joke about how jealous he was appearing, but you stopped when the influx of heat currently bubbling in you had grown exponentially. It was getting harder to ignore; it was impossible to let it slip by without feeling some manner of concern at just how much heat you were feeling radiate throughout your body.
“Y/N-“ their scents were getting stronger, so much so that it felt like you could see the tendrils of their scent creeping along the floor like mist.
They were all here, all six of the alphas. Steve was by your side, his hand practically swallowing yours, and Frank was behind you.
Jake and Ari must’ve been upstairs, and Andy…you could pick up his scent from the kitchen. That left…
“Bucky,” Steve spoke; he called for the only alpha you had yet to meet.
His scent was thick, like the others, yet it had been the most focused around rich and distinguishable markers like aged leather and smoke from burning wood, sage or clover. Bucky had reminded you of crisp and frigid air that came with the change of seasons between fall and winter. It was cold, yet it just as quickly promised comfort as winter has been naturally.
When he had physically appeared in the front entrance, you were once again reminded that compared to these alphas, you were tiny, if tiny could have even honestly described the size difference between you and all of them.
Bucky, like Steve and Ari, was massive. His chest was firm and broad, accentuated and not at all hidden by the plain black shirt he wore that had wrapped around his toned body. He was a mountain of a man, towering over Frank, Andy and Jake, comparable to Ari and Steve.
His thick, dark hair was pulled away from his face and secured in a hair elastic at the nape of his neck, and his cerulean irises had first widened and then narrowed. His lips were pursed, and the rugged features of his jaw added to his entire appearance of an alpha who was as deadly as he was beautiful.
And was he beautiful. Like every other alpha in this house, he was breathtaking, and his scent was entirely too endearing.
“This is Y/N.” Steve slipped his hand down the small of your back, and heat followed.
It was the first initial jab of heat that had your knees ready to give out. It was the rush of liquid fire through your veins that came at the start of every one of your heats as you were dragged down into the depth of a heat-driven lust. That heat was settling in your belly, and the slick that started to pool between your thighs was drawing the attention of every alpha in the house.
“God,” you groaned and doubled over in searing pain, the driving fire that was going to make you feverish within minutes, “not now!”
“Y/N,” Frank was by your side, the inside of his wrist against your forehead as he felt your temperature, “you’re in heat-“
“No shit!” You groaned and pushed his hand away from you, both bothered and settled by his scent. By all their scents. “It’s you. It’s all of you.”
“Oh God,” they were all here, but it was Jake’s moan at the thickening of your scent and slick that had pushed you further toward the precipice, “you smell so good.”
You reached out and grabbed the first body near you after they’d all come closer. There was a hand at your back steadying you and the firm chest against your right shoulder. They were steadying you while you were feeling every potent symptom of a rapid heat, a cycle that had been started earlier than it should’ve. It was your body’s reaction to the presence of so many alphas and so many scents. Every alpha in the house was powerful and robust; every alpha here was yours. Inherently, your body knew that, and your heat was the driving force that would finally see you become mated, at least with some of them.
“Everything is on fire.” You whimpered, turning your head to press your forehead against a thick arm. “Everything hurts.”
“You’re going to be okay.” They were all here, but it was only one steadying you. “You’re going to be okay. We’re going to take you upstairs.”
It was inevitable. Your heat had arrived, and you were unable to prevent it. Even if you had injected double the dose of suppressants into your veins, it was too late.

How about “Meeting their gaze after throwing a coin in a wishing fountain.” For Frank Adler
Hi friend! I wrote you a little something for this prompt I hope you enjoy it.
Make A Wish
Tumblr media
Pairing: Frank Adler x reader
Words: 717
Summary: after a bad break up you happen upon a wishing fountain and a persistent little blonde girl.
Warnings: mentions of a break up but it's basically fluff.
A/N: thanks to my wonderful beta @river-soul for looking this over and the solid ending. As always minors DNI. Enjoy the fluff!
You took in a deep breath and wiped your tear-stained face. Ending your six year relationship was not as easy as you thought it would be after finding out your ex had been cheating on you for over a year. You milled about the promenade unsure where you were going when you caught the sound of upbeat music in the distance. As you worked your way closer, the music grew louder and the smell of fried food engulfed your senses. You rounded a corner and saw vibrant colors signaling a street fair. A slow smile worked its way onto your face as you made your way through the scene. As you passed street vendors and carnival games, the weight of the day melted away.
After buying yourself some ice cream and pocketing the change, you walked over to the center fountain and sat down to enjoy your cool treat. When you were about half way finished you felt someone saddle up next to you. Turning your head you saw a cute little blonde girl happily swinging her legs and eating a cinnamon sugar covered churro. She looked up at you and smiled.
“Did you know this is a wishing fountain?” The girl asked.
You looked around briefly before responding. “A wishing fountain? Does that mean you’re going to make a wish?”
The girl shrugged. “I have everything I need, but Frank says if you toss a coin in the fountain and make a wish it’ll come true. I don’t buy it though.”
She handed you a shiny copper penny and hopped from her seat. “But Frank says this is a lucky penny and a lucky fountain, so, if you need something maybe you should make the wish.”
You watched her disappear into the crowd with a confused look on your face. You shook your head and started to pocket the penny before holding it in your hand, laughing to yourself. After the day you had, you could use all the luck you could get. Finishing your ice cream you palmed the penny and closed your eyes tight. What did you need? You had a great job, friends, and a wonderful place to live. But what did you need? A second chance at love. You needed to know that what you just went through wasn’t what it was supposed to be. That love was still out there and all you needed was to be brave enough to remember what that felt like. You took a deep breath and threw the coin into the fountain. When you opened your eyes you were met with piercing blue ones staring at you from across the sculpture. A smile spread across his face as the small blonde girl dragged him back around to where you stood.
“This is her Frank, she’s the one I gave the penny to. Tell her what you told me, she looked confused.” The girl rolled her eyes.
Frank laughed and shook his head before meeting your gaze. “I’m sorry, what I tried to explain to Mary is that wishing wells keep your wishes safe until they can be fulfilled. If you take a wish, the coin, out of the fountain then that person’s wish won’t come true. So the water protects against thieves.”
You looked at him bewildered but smiled. “Well, I really hope someone doesn’t try to steal my wish.”
Mary looked at you with her head tilted, “What did you wish for?”
You looked down at her before your eyes flitted back to Frank. “A second chance at love.”
Frank smiled and introduced himself and Mary properly. After telling him your name he repeated it back in a whisper. You smiled as Mary impatiently looked between you and Frank. Her heavy sigh broke you out of your stupor.
“Do you want to walk around with us for a bit? Frank can tell you about all these superstitions and I can go on some more rides.” Mary suggested with a huff.
Frank was about to say something when you cut him off. “I would be happy to if that’s alright?”
Frank’s eyes lit up. “That would be more than alright,” he said offering you his arm.
You smiled and linked your arm with his, maybe your wish was going to come true sooner than you expected.

You stood, waiting impatiently, gauging your husband’s reaction to the news that had you been slapped with earlier this morning. The envelope, not very thick in weight, burned like an icy fire in the palm of your hand. When you tore the seal, your heart fell into the pit of your stomach.
Frank’s mom was suing the two of you for legal and full custody.
You knew that when Frank was busy with work, he hardly ever answered his phone. So, you had to show him personally. It wasn’t hard to find him a few miles down from your home, working on the Phillips’ fishing boat.
He was surprised to find you standing in front of him, but was a little more concerned when he saw the look written on your face. You didn’t have the nerve to tell him aloud, so you just handed him the envelope.
And now you stood here waiting.
You watched Frank’s shoulders tense, as he continued to read every single word of the affidavit. When he finally finished, he angrily balled the paper up and tossed it into the lake.
You took that as your cue to step further into the boat. Frank immediately pulled you into his arms, as you sobbed into his chest.
This couldn’t be happening.
“What are we gonna do, Frank?”
Frank cupped your face in his hands, pressing his mouth to yours. “I promise you, Y/N. No one is going to take Mary away from us.”
It had been over a week since the trial for Mary’s custody hearing had gone underway. And today was your day on the chopping block.
You were plenty terrified to take the stand. Things had already been a rollercoaster this past week, and there were things about your past that you hoped and prayed that it wouldn't come back to ruin Frank’s chance of keeping custody of Mary. Of course Frank knew all about them —the two of you never kept secrets from each other.
Well, except the secret you’re carrying now. You still hadn’t found the time to tell your husband that he was going to be a father. You knew it was wrong to keep him in the dark this long, but it was never the right time. You and Frank had been dealing with so much already with Evelyn wanting to take Mary away from you, that telling him about this baby would have been adding more stress that he didn’t need.
So, here you were, sitting on the stand. Your nails bitten down to the nub; your legs shaking uncontrollably. The butterflies swarming, by the hundreds, in your belly. You had already thrown up more than twice since this morning, and you didn’t know if it was morning sickness or just nervous anxiety. You definitely felt like it was closer to the latter.
After you were sworn in by the bailiff, you glanced quickly over at your husband, who gave you a soft smile, which settled the nerves in your gut. You returned the gesture. You then looked over at your mother in law, as she hadn’t even acknowledged your presence.
“Can you please state your full name for the court please?” The man you knew to be Greg Cullen, Frank’s lawyer, questioned you.
You swallowed thickly, before clearing your throat. “Um, [Your First, Middle Name] Adler.”
“And Mrs. Adler how long’ve you known my client?” Frank’s attorney asked, pointing toward your husband.
“About 6 years total.”
“How long have you been with Mr. Adler?”
“We were friends for a year,” you began to explain, “then we dated for a few months and have been married for almost 3 years in two months.” You threw another small smile Frank’s way, and he acknowledged it with a nod of agreement.
“And when did you first meet Mary?” Mr. Cullen inquired, starting his stalk around the courtroom.
You took a deep breath, the memory of meeting baby Mary for the first time, filling your belly with warmth. “It was about 6 months after we first met. Frank needed someone to watch her while he went to work on a client’s boat, so I volunteered.”
“Okay, and out of the 6 years, you’ve known and been with Mr. Adler, how has he been toward Mary?”
“Amazing.” You looked over at Frank, giving him a reassuring smile. “I had never seen someone willing to sacrifice their entire life, for this tiny, little life. Mary had never been more taken care of than she is when she is with Frank.”
Mr. Cullen just gave you a smile and a wink, nodding. “No further questions, Your Honor.”
The judge then gave Frank’s attorney a curt nod, then turning to Evelyn’s attorney, Mr. Aubrey Highsmith; probably the best lawyer money could buy. “Counselor, your defense.”
Evelyn and Mr. Highsmith were whispering to each other quietly, and when Evelyn looked to peer her eyes at you, it made you even more uncomfortable. So, you nervously rubbed your hands together.
“Counselor,” the judge called out again, and the two pulled apart, “your defense.”
The balding attorney also gave a curt nod, standing to his feet and straightening what looked like a very expensive suit. He strutted his way over to you, with an almost unpleasant glare to his face. Or what you thought you saw was an unpleasant glare behind a pair of round silver frames.
“So,” Mr. Highsmith cleared his throat, holding his arms behind his back, “Mrs. Adler, where did you meet Mr. Adler for the first time?”
“He, um,” you trembled, nervously, “came into my bar about six years ago.”
“Your bar? This bar, you own it?” Mr. Highsmith then began his own casual stalk around the room.
You nodded, feeling the anxiety growing in the pit of your stomach. “Yes, I bought it from the original owner, Adam Fergs, a few years back.”
“Okay, and how many times does Mr. Adler frequent this bar?”
You swallowed thickly, looking over at Frank. This time he gave you a reassuring nod, to let you know that it was okay to tell them. “About a few nights out of the week. Sometimes, he’s there to make sure I get home safely.”
“So, you own the bar that your husband frequents quite often you say? Who takes care of Mary during this time?” Mr. Highsmith finally stopped to face you.
“Our next door neighbor, Roberta, who loves Mary, about as much as Frank and I do.” You answered, now looking over at Roberta, who was sitting behind Frank, and she gave you a bashful smile.
“Do you and Mr. Adler plan to have children of your own someday?”
You could start to feel your heart start to beat angrily in your chest. That someday was now, but again, still not the right time. “Hopefully.”
“Okay, and when this child arrives, what’s going to happen with Mary?”
“Mary’s still going to be taken care of and loved unconditionally no matter how many children my husband and I decide to have.” You bit back, offended that this man would even have the nerve to assume that when you have this baby that Mary would become neglected.
“And you think you’re capable of taking care of Mary yourself?” Mr. Highsmith began to slowly approach your podium, to look directly at you.
“I have for the last six and a half years.” You spat bitterly.
“Even with your past history of substance use?” Mr. Highsmith questioned dramatically, this time facing the jury, as they let out a collective inaudible gasp.
Oh God, this was what you were afraid of. Frank’s lawyer told you that Evelyn’s team could bring this up to try to hurt your case, but you had to be strong about this. Once they see you sweat, they’d have you right where they wanted you.
So, you pushed the nerves back and focused on the task at hand. You and Frank were not going to lose Mary. Not without a fight.
“Yes, I have had a past with drugs and alcohol, but I’m no longer that person.” You took in a deep breath, fighting back the emotions that came with thinking about your past.
“But you own a bar.” Mr. Highsmith turned back to you, that unpleasant look back on his face. “How can a recovering junkie alcoholic run a full bar without a relapse?”
“Objection, your Honor,” Mr. Cullen quickly stood to his feet, “badgering the witness. Mr. Adler’s wife has been clean and sober long before she became owner of Fergs and met Mr. Adler. I have her records to prove it.”
The judge nodded, “sustained.” Then turned to look at Mr. Highsmith. “Counselor, please stay on topic.”
“Actually, your Honor, I have no further questions.” Evelyn’s lawyer gave the judge, and then you, a smug smile, before walking back to his seat next to Evelyn.
But you were shaking. His last question had pushed you to the edge. It didn’t take much for someone to mention anything from your past for you to be triggered. That life you had —although it felt like a lifetime ago— still haunted you.
You were young and stupid, and in a horrible, abusive relationship. It took you to nearly OD on a former friend’s couch, for you to realize that you really needed to change your life. So, you did.
8 years you’ve been clean and sober. You never wanted to look back on that life. But sometimes life has its way of shoving it in your face when you’d least expect it. Even when you did expect it, it always hurt the same.
“Mrs. Adler...Mrs. Adler—”
You quickly looked up at the judge, and you hadn’t realized that they had been calling your name.
“You can step down now.”
You nodded, finally jumping up from your seat. You felt nauseous, and this time you knew, it wasn’t from the morning sickness. You needed to get out of this room, and you needed to get out of here fast.
You didn’t even bother to look at your husband —not even when you heard him call your name— as you quickly stormed out of the courtroom to the nearest bathroom.
You shoved yourself into the closest stall, dropping to your knees and releasing what little food you’d had in your stomach from this morning. Once you felt that your stomach was not going to produce anything else, you stepped out of the stall and up the sink to wash yourself up.
When you felt that you were ready, you finally walked out of the bathroom only to find Frank standing outside of the door waiting for you. His hands were shoved in his pants pockets and his grayish blue eyes looked at you with worry.
“You alright?” Frank questioned, walking over to you. You could see the concern written in those steel blue eyes you loved so much.
You nodded, trying not to let the tears spill. Your past could possibly ruin Frank’s chances of keeping Mary.
“I’m fine.” You whispered softly, and your husband immediately pulled you into his arms.
“It’s okay.” He kissed the top of your head, while running his hands up and down your back. “I promise. We’re not losing Mary.”
Then you felt it. It was sharp, painful, and it pierced right through your lower abdomen. You quickly pushed Frank back, clutching at your stomach. This could not be happening. Not now.
“Hey,” Frank reached out to cup your jaw in panic, “what’s happening? You okay?”
You weren’t able to answer, as another pain, sharper than the first, hit you. You managed to whisper “the baby” to your husband, before everything faded to black.

SaiyanPrincessSwanie - Reading List Week 31
Tumblr media
Hey all, it’s time to bring you week 31of my reading list. These are all one-shots, drabbles and stories from authors who have either tagged me in their work or they have been recommended to me. Every week, I will put a list together of what I’m reading. I want to do this to help spread the love in the Marvel Community.
If you would like to be added, signal boosted, please tag me in your fics or tag me in someone else’s stories. If you don’t see your story listed it’s probably due to my cut off date I had earlier in the week or Tumblr might have eaten your tagged story. All stories not listed that I did receive will be featured on the following week. Completed series that I’m tagged in will take longer for me to get through but please still tag me.
This week was crazy as I fell behind in my reading due to the sudden loss of a family member. I had 50 fics this week and had to push off another 20 until next week. Please be kind and patient as I continue to make my way through all tags. The list is almost filled so make sure you tag me for this week.
Make sure you read the warnings on every story. They range from dark to fluff.
These will be listed in no particular order. None of these stories are mine. I’m just signal boosting them. Author is listed next to title.
Page break made by @whimsicalrogers
If you can please reblog these lists so they can reach more people on Tumblr.

Chapter 1
Tumblr media
“Mary…” Frank sighed. “Take the boots off and get in bed.” “You told me that Miss Gallagher said I needed to wear them.” she looked at him.
“Yeah, but you can’t wear them in bed…”
Mary flopped onto the side of her bed and reached down to unzip the boots before she kicked them off and Frank picked them up and placed them out of the way. Mary shuffled down under her covers and lay her head back on the pillow and, once she was settled, Frank gently smoothed her blonde hair back off her face and smiled at her. Times like this she really did remind him of Diane.
“Frank?”
“Yeah?” “Can I read for a little while?” she asked.
Frank rolled his eyes “Mary…”
“Please!”
“Fine, fifteen minutes tops. And I’ll be in to turn the light off, ok?” With a grin she sat up and reached for her latest book- Moby Dick, and he dropped a kiss to her head and left her to it. He made his way into the kitchen, cleared the dishes and then grabbed a beer his attention turning to the table which was had clear, the other half scattered with the parts from one of the engines he had been working on. He knew he really shouldn’t bring this home with him but sometimes it was just easier.
His phone buzzed and he reached for it, glancing down at the unknown number.
“Hi Mr Adler, just a courtesy message to remind you of Mary’s lesson tomorrow at One. If you can’t make it please let me know ASAP so I can offer the slot to someone else. Otherwise see you then. Regards, Fliss.” Frank smiled, like he would have chance to forget. Mary had talked of nothing else since Saturday. His fingers hovered over the reply button, before he dropped the phone back down. He didn’t need to reply…did he? I mean…
Oh fuck it. What was a bit of harmless flirting? He picked the phone back up and tapped in a quick response.
“Like I’d have chance to forget. She’s been like a broken record since Wednesday. I had to pry her
boots off tonight as she was threatening to wear them in bed.” Setting the phone down he headed back through to check on Mary, her 15 minutes was over. He found her fast asleep, book clutched to her chest. Gently taking it from her, he slipped the bookmark into the page and turned off the lights, making sure she was tucked in. When he moved back into the main part of the trailer he had a reply.
“Brilliant! That’s what I like to hear. Get used to it, you’re going to hear about nothing but horses now for the rest of your life.” “Great, I can’t wait…” he set his Nokia down, not really having a smarter response to that, so he gathered a few pieces of the engine, setting to work. About five minutes passed and his phone went again.
“You know I offer starter lessons for adults too, maybe you should try it, see if you understand what the fuss is all about.” “No thanks, my feet stay firmly on the ground. Unless I’m on a boat.” “A boat? I didn’t have you pegged as a sailor?” At that Frank let out a bark of a laugh.
“I’m not, not really. I fix them. And besides, you don’t sail speedboats.” “What do you do then?”
“You drive them.”
“Do you drive them on water?” “Dur.” “That’s called Sailing.”
His work abandoned, he took a pull from his beer bottle and shook his head, smile tugging at his lips as he replied.
“But they don’t have sails…” “It’s a boat. It goes on water. It’s called Sailing.” “Alright, I bow to your superior knowledge…” “Glad we agree…even if I do detect a serious underlying tone of sarcasm in your message. See you tomorrow Sailor.” He laughed again, shaking his head. He tapped in a goodnight and placed the phone down, turning his attention to his work.
***** “What are you grinning about?” Bill Gallagher looked at his daughter as they walked across the field, Thor and his own dog, Rupert, hurtling ahead in front of them, their flashing collars keeping them located in the twilight.
“Oh, nothing, just winding someone up.” she smiled “One of the dad’s from tomorrow’s lesson, trying to convince me you drive, not sail, a speedboat.” “Hmmm…well they don’t have sails.” Bill mused.
“Whatever, they go on water, they sail.” Fliss shrugged, slipping her phone back into her pocket as Frank’s ‘Goodnight’ rounded off their conversation.
“So, who is he then?” Bill asked.
“Oh, his name’s Frank.” Fliss replied, nonchalantly, but her dad didn’t miss the flicker of a smile that hit her mouth.
“Is he the one that your mum said was eyeing you up in the bar?” “He was not eyeing me up.” Fliss groaned “He was just being friendly.” “Sure he was.” “Dad.” she warned him, nudging him with her elbow.
“What?” “You know what!” she laughed “Stop it.” “Alright.” he smiled, holding his hands up “I yield, it’s just nice to see you happy, that’s all.” “Well, I am.” she said after a moment, and she meant it “The last six months the riding school has taken off, I’m feeling more, well, myself than I have in years. Just need to find an apartment now.” “Well, on that.” Bill looked at her. “Me and your mum have been thinking. We thought, maybe, you might want to move into the annex. We can do it up, gives you your own space…”
Fliss paused walking and turned to her dad. “That’s where Steeby stays though, when he comes out with Sian and the kids.” “There’s plenty of room in the house.” Bill shrugged “And they come like what, four times a year? It’s stood empty the rest of the time.” Fliss bit her lip.
“It’s just an idea and your brother won’t mind. Look, I know it’s probably not what you had in mind, living in your parent’s annex but for the time being until the Yard starts to turn over more of a profit we just thought it might give you a little bit more freedom.” “Whilst still staying close.”
“I want to keep you safe Titch.” Bill shrugged “I didn’t do that before but,” “Dad don’t.” Fliss shook her head “None of that, it wasn’t your fault. I hid from everyone what was happening…you didn’t know.”
“I should have.” he sighed “You’re my daughter.” “He had everyone fooled, including me. This is no one’s fault but his, I get that now.” Bill smiled and pulled her into a hug. “I know.”
“We should head back.” Fliss smiled, pulling away. “Mum will be wondering where we are.”
“You have anything to finish off?” he asked
“Nope, everything is out for the night and looks reasonably settled.” she squinted at the various horses dotted across her land.
“Hmmm, unlike this fencing.” Bill frowned, examining the broken bit of post and rail that Fliss had patched up with electric tape “This could do with replacing, love.” “Yeah, I know.” she shrugged “I was going to mention it but forgot. The temporary fix has worked for the time being.” “I’ll stop by and do it tomorrow.” he nodded, “Won’t take me long. I’ll level that top field as well whilst I’m at it if you want.” “Thanks Dad” she smiled. In comfortable silence they made their way back towards the main part of the yard. *******
Fliss grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge in her office and took a long drink. The heat was pretty intense today, and she was just wondering if really holding Mary’s lesson as advisable when she realised it wasn’t like they’d be doing anything too strenuous. She adjusted her baseball cap and walked back onto the yard, shouting instructions to the three members of staff to go and take a water break. Just as they were passing her towards the office, she saw Frank and Mary walking onto the yard. Mary was sporting a new riding hat and Fliss couldn’t help but smile.
“Well check you out!” she said, tapping the little girl on the head “Nice hat.” “I liked the silver on it!” Mary grinned, pointing to the sparkly strip that ran along the front.
“Me too.” Fliss nodded. “I have the same hat but mine has blue sparkles.” she straightened up and looked at Frank. “Hey Sailor.” He gave a snort of a laugh “I told you, you don’t sail speedboats.” “They go on water.” Mary said, “Its’ sailing.” “Ha, see!” Fliss laughed
Frank sighed “Whatever.” The corners of his mouth turned up and he handed Fliss the forms he had brought back.
“Oh great…” she thanked him “I’ll just file these and then Ruby will get Monty ready. I thought you might like to help her.” Mary nodded eagerly. Fliss excused herself and Frank heard her shouting something and a moment later a tall, wirey Hispanic girl emerged from the office with a saddle. Fliss followed, bridle slung over her shoulder and gestured for Mary to follow. Frank watched as the girl skipped off following and headed after her at a slower pace, rubbing at his neck which felt like it was burning. He’d slathered Mary in sunscreen before but of course had forgotten his own.
He stepped into the relative cool of the barn and watched as the stable hand was explaining to Mary what each piece of tack was as she began to place it onto the pony. He knew Mary would be taking all of this in, just like she did with everything, and Roberta would be hearing all about it later on.
Fliss handed over the bridle and stepped back, heading towards Frank. “I normally do have the ponies ready” she said, almost apologetically “But I thought she’d enjoy this bit.” “You thought right.” Frank laughed “I was just thinking to myself she’ll be chewing our neighbour’s ear off later.”
Fliss smiled and they both stood in silence watching until the other girl said they were ready.
“Alright, let’s go!” Fliss grinned and they walked out into the yard. She took the pony from her staff member with a thanks, and walked with Mary following into the riding paddock. Frank leaned on the fencing outside as Fliss led Mary and Monty over to the wooden mounting block at the side.
“Ok, so…” she turned to Mary and patted the top step “Climb up here…” Mary hopped up.
“Left foot in this stirrup,” she instructed. Mary placed her foot in. “Left hand here,” she guided it to the front of the saddle, “and then I want you to swing your right leg over.” Mary did as she was told, sitting down on the saddle.
“Good stuff kiddo!” Fliss smiled as she checked the stirrups “Ok, so we need to put these up a hole so…”
She busied herself shortening the stirrup leathers, and eventually when she was happy she nodded.
“So, what we’re gonna do for today is a bit of walking around, and stopping, and then if you’re happy with your balance we can try a bit of trot ok?” Mary grinned.
“Right…so take your reins…” Fliss showed her how to hold the reins correctly, and then she slipped the lunge line through the ponies bit and looked at the girl. “If you feel wobbly or anything you grab this…” she said, gesturing to the leather strap around the pony’s neck. “And shout to me ok?”
Mary nodded.
Fliss began to walk besides the pony who followed her like a dog. Mary all the time concentrating on what she was doing. Fliss explained to her how her legs made the animal go, and how to make it stop, and they practiced that for five minutes before Fliss moved slightly further away to let Mary take a bit of control, instructing her to go, then stop, go, then stop…
Frank watched intently. He’d be lying if he said he wasn’t slightly nervous about Mary falling off but he knew that he had to let her discover all this for herself. He leaned further over on the fence, watching and couldn’t help but smile at the look on Mary’s face, she was concentrating so hard her brow was furrowed, tongue poking out from the side of her mouth.
“Your kid?” a deep voice with a similar accent to Fliss said and he turned to his right to see a tall, stocky guy in his sixties, maybe, dressed in a white T-shirt and jeans looking at him.
“Neice.” he nodded, “First lesson.” “Ahh...” the man chuckled “Yeah I remember Fliss’ first lesson. I crapped myself.” Frank let out a laugh “Yeah, I’m a little nervous.” “Bill Gallagher” The man stuck his hand out “Fliss’ dad.” “Nice to meet you, I’m Frank.” Bill looked at him, nodding before his attention turned to the paddock “Hey, Titch, sorry to interrupt…” Fliss stopped the pony and turned to her dad “Hey.” “Fencing is done but I can’t get that bloody tractor started, so the field’s gonna have to wait.” “I can look at it.” Frank offered immediately “I mean, if you want.” Bill turned to him, “You a mechanic?” “No he’s a sailor.” Fliss shot back and Frank rolled his eyes.
“I fix boats. Engines, that type of thing.” “Huh.” Bill nodded appraisingly. “Well if you wouldn’t mind…” “Not a problem. Mary you okay here if I go for a minute?” Mary looked at him “Dur.” Bill let out a chuckle as Frank turned to him “Tell me raising them gets easier.” “Oh no mate.” Bill shook his head, grinning “You just get different shit to deal with.” Frank followed the man round to the back of the barn and spotted a dark green baby tractor. Bill explained what it was doing and Frank crouched closer to have a look before he headed to his truck for the jump leads.
After ten minutes or so he’d found the problem. They could start it, but it wasn’t holding any charge. Meaning when the turned the engine off it needed jump starting again.
“I’m pretty sure it’s the alternator.” he chewed his lip, stepping back “I’ll need to strip it down to see whether I can repair it or if it needs a new one but we can get it started again you can do what you need to do for today.”
Bill nodded “So not quite ready for the scrap heap?” “Not quite.” Frank smiled, wiping his hands on his jeans “Just needs a bit of a fiddle with.” “Don’t we all?” Bill quipped, making Frank laugh. They jump started it again and Bill thanked him before hopping on and heading over to the gate that led to the field.
By the time Frank returned, he was surprised to see that Mary was now riding the pony almost unaided in a circle around Fliss who was holding the end of the line attached to the Monty’s bridle as it trotted around. Mary was gripping the strap round the pony’s neck and trying to rise in time to the trot. It was clumsy and she was a little bit out of balance but that didn’t matter. He could hear Fliss shouting gentle encouragement to her, counting out the rhythm and eventually Mary fell in time with her counts.
“Good!” Fliss beamed “see, I told you you’d get it…” This continued for another 5 minutes or so before Fliss told Mary to slow Monty down to a walk and give him a good pat. They walked the pony around for a while, to give him chance to cool down a little before Fliss walked towards Mary gathering up the line as she went.
“That was awesome for a first go!” she said, smiling “Did you enjoy it?”
Mary nodded “Yeah, it was really cool!”
“Good!” Fliss said. “Now I’m gonna unclip the line and walk around for a bit. He’ll follow me but when I stop I want you to stop him yeah?”
Mary nodded eagerly and she unclipped the line and began to walk. Fliss knew Monty would stop when she did but she wanted to let Mary have a go anyway. They did a lap of the paddock and on the second she stopped by Frank.
“Look, Frank!” Mary smiled “I’m not on the line.” “Yeah, I see!” he smiled at her “Good job!”
“How’s my tractor?” Fliss asked.
“Think it’s the alternator. We got it started for your dad but I’ll need to strip it down properly…I can come back tomorrow and sort it properly if you want?” “Oh, I don’t wanna put you out.” Fliss started to protest but Frank shook his head
“It’s no bother, honestly.” he ran his hand through his hair. “I can’t promise I can fix it but I’ll be able to see if I can or if you need a new one.” Fliss looked at him and then nodded “Alright, but in that case today is free.” “No, that’s not why I offered.” Frank began to protest but Fliss shook her head
“I know.” she smiled that damned gorgeous smile again, and Frank felt his stomach flip. “But I’d like to.” Frank looked at her for a moment, her brown eyes locked onto his and he swallowed, nodding. “Ok, thanks.” “Wait am I coming back tomorrow?” Mary asked
“I’m booked up, sorry sweetie.” Fliss looked at her “But you’re welcome to come anyway, that is if Frank says its okay. You can always give Monty a groom.” “We’ll see. “Frank looked at Mary.
“I can put her to work.” Fliss said, grinning “Nothing like a bit of child labour.” “That’s illegal.” Mary said.
“I won’t tell if you don’t.” Fliss looked at her and Frank gave a chuckle.
They made their way out of the paddock and Fliss showed Mary how to swing her leg back round the saddle and slide down. She landed on her feet and took the reins from Fliss’ hand, leading the pony back to his stable. She helped untack and then Fliss handed her the bridle to carry. They walked into the office and Fliss tapped a code into the door to the left and led them into a tidy tack room, rows of saddles and racks adorned the wall along with bridle pegs and a few shelves full of rugs and blankets for the horses. Fliss slipped the saddle onto a spare rack and then directed Mary to Monty’s bridle peg. Frank took the bridle from her as the peg was a little high and hooked it over.
“Now, you need a drink.” Fliss looked at Mary “I got water or some apple juice.”
“Apple please.”  Mary said. Fliss nodded and headed back into the office, giving her a juice box from the fridge “Frank?”
“Oh, errr, water would be great thanks.” She handed him a bottle and he screwed off the tap.
“So, do you want to book in again now or do it tomorrow?” Fliss looked at him. “I think she’ll cope on the group lesson fine.” “So when do they run?”  Frank asked, swallowing his water.
“Saturday afternoons at two.” Fliss said. “Or Wednesday at six.” “Can we come Saturday?” Mary asked.
Frank hesitated “I did say you couldn’t do this every week.” “Yeah but you didn’t pay for today.” Mary shot back.
Jesus Christ
He glanced up at Fliss who was biting her lip, trying not to laugh.
“Fine, you can come this Saturday but then that’s it, we go to every other week like we agreed, okay?” Mary nodded.
“Settled, I’ll book you in.” Fliss grinned. “If you get here about quarter to I’ll introduce you to the other girls before you join.” Mary frowned a little, before she recovered and nodded. “Okay.” “So do you like work here every day?” Frank asked and Fliss nodded
“Mostly. If I want a day off then I get Joanne to cover the lessons and the girls can open and close up.” she said “But it’s few and far between. Like I said, still in the early days so…”
Frank nodded “Yeah I know what it’s like, trying to get yourself established.” “I take it you’re a self-employed sailor then?” Fliss smiled and he gave a grin back and nodded.
“He takes me for rides.” Mary said “In the boats sometimes.” “That’s really cool. I’ve never been on speedboat.” Fliss mused.
“You should come with us one day, right Frank?”
Frank hesitated a little, surprised to find that he wasn’t filled with dread at the idea of her joining them.
“I’m sure Fliss has enough to be doing without you demanding more of her time.” he shot the girl a look, his tone even.
“Yeah, I’m very busy.” Fliss smiled, offering him a way out. He shot her a thankful look.
“We can do it when you’re free…” “Mary!” Frank’s tone was exasperated as Fliss laughed.
“Maybe one day.” she said, nodding.
This placated the girl somewhat and she bounced off towards the truck.
“Sorry.” Frank turned to Fliss “She can be a little bit…” “Tenacious?” “I was gonna say a pain in the ass.” Frank shrugged, causing Fliss to laugh, her soft chuckles made him feel a little warm, or maybe it was the afternoon heat…
“She’s a good kid.” Fliss said gently.
Frank smiled and then jerked his head in the direction of the car park “I better…” “Sure.”
“I’ll drop you a message about tomorrow?” Fliss nodded “Yeah, but don’t put yourself out.” “Well I owe you now for the lesson so…” he shrugged “I’ll see you tomorrow.” “Yeah, guess you will.” Fliss smiled. There was a pause again and Frank nodded, before he turned and headed after Mary. He turned to look over his shoulder at Fliss who was now walking back towards her office before he wandered onto the car park to find Mary was now chewing Bill’s ear off.
“For the love of God.” he mumbled as he drew nearer to find her mid discussion with the man about the Olympics.
“Did you go?” she was asking.
“You bet!” Bill smiled “I’ll tell you something else as well…” “What?” “Those fences are even bigger in real life than they look on the photos.” “It said on the internet she jumped One meter forty!”
“The internet?” Bill asked.
“Yeah, we googled her.” Frank groaned “Mary.” “What?” she looked at him. “I was just saying…” “Well don’t.” He said, “Truck, now…”
“It was nice to meet you Mary.” Bill smiled as the little girl bid him goodbye.
“Sorry.” Frank apologised to him.
“Don’t be silly.” Bill waved his apology off. “She wasn’t doing any harm.”
“I meant about the google thing.” Frank sighed. “We weren’t prying, she was just curious after seeing the medal and…” Bill shook his head “Kids are nosey.” he shrugged.
With another nod he climbed in the truck and turned to Mary with a sigh “What did I say to you about not telling Miss Gallagher we googled her?” “I didn’t.” Mary said “I told her dad.”
There was a pause as Frank contemplated what she had said, and realised technically she was right. He should have closed that particular loop hole. “Smart ass.” He grumbled back, before he clipped in her belt and they left.
***** Fliss was surprised to see Mary wasn’t with Frank the next day. Frank explained he had come straight from the boat yard so she was busy doing some lesson work with their neighbour. “Gives me chance to work without her continually running around causing a nuisance.” he had explained, setting his tools down by the tractor.
Fliss chuckled, “Ok, well, I got another client due in a second so just give me a shout if you need anything.” He nodded. It didn’t take him long to realise he had been right. It was the alternator. He took the engine apart and was leaning over it on the flat bed of his truck when he heard footsteps behind him. He turned to look at Fliss.
“It is the alternator, but it looks like it’s the brushes inside.” he said, “I can fix this.” She nodded, the movement almost imperceptible, and he frowned at the look on her face. She’d glazed over in front of him, eyes were widened, almost like she was stuck in a memory.
And she was. Something about the fact he’d been leaning over the back of a truck, his grubby t-shirt riding up slightly, dirt on his hands and arms had stirred a really inappropriate thought in her head…which in turn had triggered another flashback.
“He was fixing the car.” Fliss looked at John “I offered him a drink, that’s all…” “He was in our kitchen.” John advanced “I saw you looking at him. Admiring him…” “I wasn’t…”
“Don’t LIE TO ME!” John’s voice as loud and then there was a stinging slap to the side of her face, which sent her reeling. As she recovered, the ringing in her ear still loud from the blow, she gently reached up to her cheek, tears stinging her eyes. John’s face was immediately apologetic, and he reached out for her, causing her to shrink back against the counter.
“You hit me.” she gasped.
“Sugar, I’m so sorry.” John stuttered, his eyes filing with tears “I didn’t, you just made me so jealous…I…” He held his arms out and pulled her to him, his hands on her back as he dropped a kiss to her head “I will never do that again, I’m sorry…” “Fliss?”
She started slightly and looked at Frank. “Yeah, sorry, I was…” “Miles away?” he frowned.
“Something like that.” she nodded, shaking her head “Sorry, you said you could fix it?”
“Yeah.” he said “I can take it with me and then I can bring it back Saturday unless you need it before that?”
“No, Saturday’s fine.” she said gently.
“Look, I don’t mean to pry but are you sure you’re ok?” he asked.
“Yeah, I’m good.” she spoke quickly. “Look, I gotta get on and…” “Sure.” he nodded, “I should be going anyway…” She smiled at him, and turned and headed back to the yard.
****
“You clearly triggered something.” Roberta said to Frank wisely as they both sat in his living room later that evening. He’d just finished telling her about the afternoon. “Some kind of memory.”
Frank hmmed his response. “Question is why are you so bothered?” Roberta asked.
“I’m not, I just, well it wasn’t nice to see. She looked so scared.” “Well you said her husband was sent down for assaulting her.” Roberta shrugged “She’s clearly had a lot of trauma. Maybe she just needs a friend.” “Yeah, maybe.”
“Could be good for both of you.” “I know what you’re doing.” Frank looked at her sternly
“I’m not trying to do anything!” Roberta chuckled
“Course you’re not.” he rolled his eyes before he changed the subject.
It wasn’t until he was alone later, that he pulled his phone out to text Fliss. He’d typed out his message, just a perfectly innocent one to check she was okay before he deleted it, shaking his head.
Whatever it was, it really was none of his business. He had enough of his own past demons to live with as it was.
But the more he lay there the more it wound him up. And he couldn’t get the thought of her out of his head.
“Fucks sake,” he grumbled, before he retyped the message and sent it.
**** Fliss was curled up on the sofa watching TV. Her parents were out for the evening so she was making the most of enjoying the space. Her phone went and she leaned over to grab it from the coffee table, unable to stop smiling as she saw who it was from.
“Hey, just wanted to check you were ok after before. I hope I didn’t do anything or say anything that upset or scared you.” The last line made her heart sink. He clearly knew about her past. Her dad had mentioned something about them googling her, and the case had been fairly big news amongst the equestrian circuit so she knew that the story was out there to read. Well, most of it was anyway. She rubbed at her eyes, thinking of how to respond. She hated that even after almost a year of him being out of her life John was till effectively a shadow she couldn’t seem to emerge from.
“It’s not your fault. I get flashbacks sometimes, nothing I can’t handle.”
“Well the past has a way of doing that. Trust me, I know.”
Fliss smiled gently as she tapped out her response. “Yeah, what is it Rafiki says on the Lion King? You can either run from your past or learn from it?”
Little over thirty seconds later he responded.
“Sound advice from a cartoon monkey…not always that easy in real life. If you ever want a non-judgmental ear to talk to, I’m a pretty good listener if you fancy a beer and a chat. Just as friends.” There was just something about this man, something that Fliss couldn’t help but warm to. She wasn’t stupid, the girls at the yard had told her a bit about him, his reputation amongst the ladies…he was a bit of a player from all accounts, but there was something there, something buried deeper, she could just tell. And what’s more, for the first time in years, she felt like she could trust another person other than her family.
It was for that reason she found it so easy to almost, sort of, maybe, possibly accept his invitation.
“I might just hold you to that Sailor.”

Friendly Neighbors
Tumblr media
Pairing: Frank Adler x Reader
Words: 2025
Warnings: SMUT (18+ ONLY) Oral (f receiving), choking (kind of), face riding.
Summary: Your neighbors with Frank Adler and can’t seem to think straight around him. His niece Mary likes you and wants you and Frank to hang out so she can see you more.
A/N: This was inspired by a thot given to me by @fluffycutecevans I hope you like it! Thank you to @river-soul for being an amazing beta and friend and for helping me with the ending. All mistakes are my own and as always Minors DNI
You looked out your window and saw your neighbor, Frank, putting his niece Mary on the bus. He was always so gentle with her and you couldn’t help but let out a wistful sigh whenever you saw them interact. Even his reprimands came out more like guidance than punishment. Mary saw you watching and gave you a small wave which you returned. Noticing the exchange, Frank looked over at you and smiled, causing you to drop your hand and offer a tight smile embarrassed at the effect such a simple gesture had on you.
You'd never actually spoken with Frank, you always got tongue-tied around him. You have, however, run into Mary on more than one occasion when she was with Roberta. That girl was smart as a whip and took a liking to you almost immediately. She would invite you over for dinner weekly, which you always politely declined. You didn't know what you would do if you were alone with Frank for that long. The thought brought butterflies to your stomach and a deep want between your thighs.
Friday night rolled around and you took your glass of wine to your front stoop, waiting for Frank to drop Mary off at Roberta's so you could hear about her week. You saw Mary jump down the stairs and giggle as Frank started walking towards Roberta's house. Mary, however, had different plans and doubled back to sit with you on your stoop.
"Hey, can you come over for dinner tomorrow night? Franks making burgers. He makes good burgers and you said they were your favorite so I asked him to make them."
You stared at Mary wide-eyed. "Thank you for the offer sweetheart, but I don't want to impose. Besides I have a drawer full of takeout menus to choose from." You chuckled.
Mary looked past you. "Frank can you tell her that she wouldn't be imposing."
You stiffened and slowly turned around to catch Frank's sly smirk.
"Mary what did I say about bothering the pretty neighbor? Come on we have to get you to Roberta's."
"I have a great idea, Frank. Instead of going out tonight why don't you stay in with," Mary paused to look at you with a mischievous glint in her eyes. "The pretty neighbor."
Your whole body heated up at her statement. For a kid, she was as sly as a fox and too observant. Maybe it was the wine, maybe it was to prove to Mary that women should be strong and confident, whatever the reason you decided to double down on Mary's suggestion. Although if you were being honest with yourself you knew the real reason you wanted to spend time with Frank.
"I would love the company. I have more wine inside and beer in the fridge. I also may have ordered enough takeout for a small army." You bit your lip in anticipation of what Frank would say.
Frank looked over at Mary and then back to you, a smile slowly creeping onto his face.
"We have to get you to Roberta's first." Frank motioned for Mary to come with him. "I'll be back in 10 minutes if you wanna have one of those beers ready for me."
You smiled and nodded. As they headed toward Roberta's house, Mary turned around and gave you a not-so-subtle thumbs up that had you laughing.
You got up and went to refill your glass and grabbed a beer from the fridge. After you set them both on the kitchen table, you went back to the front door to prop it open for Frank. You ran to the bathroom to straighten out your hair and make-up when you heard heavy footfalls coming down the hallway.
“Hello? The door was open so I just let myself in,” Frank shouted through the house.
You reappeared in the kitchen and gave Frank a shy smile.
“Hey, your beer’s on the table. Food should be here in 15 minutes give or take, make yourself comfortable,” you rambled nervously.
Frank chuckled as he made his way over to the table and picked up his beer.
“You’ve made quite the impression on Mary,” Franks stated fondly. “She always talks about the pretty neighbor who teaches her about the stars.”
You let out a soft laugh. “Well, when I was her age I was fascinated by the constellations.”
“Yeah? Tell me more about yourself, sunshine.”
You bit your lip at the nickname Frank gave you. The next 15 minutes were spent talking about your childhood and where you grew up. You learned that Frank used to be a professor of philosophy and after his sister’s passing he gave that up to move here in order to make sure Mary had a normal childhood. As the conversation went on you and Frank seemed to be pulled closer together.
“I don’t know if you noticed. Mary is a bit of a genius,” Frank joked as he finished off his beer, brushing his arm against your thigh.
Flustered, you stood up to go to the fridge and get him another beer. “Yeah, I noticed. She’s a good kid, makes me think about things in a whole new way. I like her.”
Frank smiled as you handed him his beer. His fingers brushed against yours and your breath caught in your throat.
“Why is it this is the first time we’re enjoying each other’s company?” Frank wondered as he opened the beer.
“Oh come on Frank. Have you seen yourself? I’ve seen the Saturday morning walks of shame leave your house. They don’t exactly look like me,” you reasoned, surprised at your boldness.
He considered you for a moment. “You know Mary didn’t give you the nickname ‘pretty neighbor’ I did,” Frank admitted easily.
You looked up at Frank shocked and saw his eyes blown black with lust. There was a knock on the door and you cleared your throat, getting up to answer it. Frank was right behind you, handing the delivery person money for the food before quickly shutting the door.
“You didn’t have to do that. I was the one who ordered the food.”
He grabbed the bags from you and walked over to set them on the table.
“Wouldn’t be much of a gentleman if I didn’t pay for the food, now would I?” He offered.
“Can I ask you a question?” You rushed out, feeling the wine course through your veins giving you a sense of confidence.
He raised an eyebrow at you, signaling you to continue.
“Did you and Mary plan this?”
Frank smiled at you. “I may have suggested to Mary that I didn’t feel like going to the bar tonight, but that she was still spending the night with Roberta. She’s a smart kid, she came up with the plan all on her own. I just didn’t stop her.”
You considered his answer for a moment before you pulled him into a kiss that was filled with urgency and desperation. His hands gripped your waist and pushed you back into the wall, his grip tightening as the kiss grew deeper.
“Bedroom?” Frank asked huskily.
“Down the hall, second door on the left.”
Frank grabbed your hand and led you to the room, pausing every few steps to give you kisses and nips along your neck. By the time he laid you on the bed you were a whimpering mess, and you were sure you were soaked. He unzipped your dress and pulled down the straps with gentle ease. A perfect contrast to the urgency he was just kissing you with.
“No bra sweetheart?” Frank asked with a mischievous glint in his eye.
“It’s 100 degrees and humid Frank. I barely wanted to wear the dress,” you said breathlessly.
“Oh sunshine, I barely want you to wear this dress too.” Frank pulled the rest of your dress off your body.
You grabbed at his shirt and ripped it over his head. You threw it across the room and licked your lips at the sight of his tanned and toned chest. He bent down and placed kisses across your chest, taking a nipple in his mouth flicking the peak with his tongue while rolling the other between his fingers. You arched your back at the sensation and wrapped your legs around his waist. You rocked your hips against his growing erection, trying to provide some relief to the ache in your cunt.
“Relax, sunshine. I’ll make you feel real good,” Frank murmured into your chest as his fingers hooked around the hem of your underwear.
He pulled them down your legs and pressed kisses into your thighs.
“You’re absolutely soaked.” He spread your slick around before taking his fingers into his mouth with a satisfied hum. “Delicious.”
Frank climbed up the bed and pulled you onto his chest.
“I want you to ride my face honey.”
You looked up at him shocked. “I’ve never done that before what if,” you bit your lip. “What if you can’t breathe?”
Frank let out a short laugh. “If being suffocated by this pussy is what kills me then that’s how I go.”
He grabbed the back of your thighs and lifted you up towards his face.
“Go on sweetheart, get comfortable. I’m going to make you come on my tongue then I’m gonna fuck you until you can’t see straight.”
You settled your knees on each side of his face and slowly lowered yourself, still hovering.
“Is this okay?” You asked hesitantly.
Frank gripped your thighs and pulled you down until you felt his nose nudged your clit, causing you to mewl.
“Just like that, now ride my face baby.”
You tentatively rocked your hips against his face as his hands held your thighs in place. His tongue was delving into your wet folds and flicking your clit. You picked up the pace as his tongue moved faster. Soon you found yourself circling your hips as he latched onto your clit humming and sucking, bringing you higher until your orgasm buzzed through your body. Frank’s tongue relentlessly fucked into your core as you rode out your high, and with one final, hard suck on your clit that caused you to whine, he sat up and pushed you on the bed.
“Now, gorgeous, I need to be inside of you.” Frank made quick work of his pants and kicked them into the pile of clothes.
“Condoms are in the drawer,” you panted.
Frank reached into the drawer and pulled out a condom, rolling it down his hardened length. He climbed back over you and lined himself up, slowly pushing in as you arched your back reveling in the stretch.
“Fuck, Frank you feel amazing,” you moaned.
“Nowhere near as good as you sweetheart. You’re so tight, fucking made for me,” Frank grunted.
He started slowly sliding through your warmth until you wrapped your legs around his waist urging him to move faster. As he moved you grabbed his wrist to place his hand around your neck. He gently squeezed the sides of your throat and your eyes rolled back in pleasure.
“Oh, sunshine you look so good under me with my hand around your neck. I’m not gonna last much longer.”
You moaned as his thrusts became harder and more erratic. He removed his hand from your neck and pressed circles on your clit, making you clench around him as your orgasm washed through you. Frank followed closely behind you, stilling as he spilled into the condom. After a moment he pulled out causing you to whimper at the sensation. He tossed the condom in the trash before laying back on the bed and pulling you onto his chest.
“So, do you think you’ll come over for dinner tomorrow night?” Frank asked as he placed a kiss on the crown of your head.
“I think we can make that happen. I hear burgers are on the menu and they are my favorite,” you stated shyly.
“Well my favorite thing to eat is right here,” Frank said as he moved his fingers in between your thighs. “Might just make this my dessert tomorrow night after Mary goes to bed.”
