I'm reading these romance novels and grinning cheek to cheek. Its not like I haven't read them before, but I have never smiled quite like this while poring over the words. I blame you. I see you fucking everywhere lately, in photo galleries and instagram feeds and text notifications and in books. In the stories you show me, particularly, I see their careless banter, their coy smiles, their endless pining; and somewhere, somehow I think that could be you and me. I see too much of myself in him and you see so much of yourself in her. Do you know what it does to me? Knowing that I am him and you are her and we are talking about how much of ourselves we see in them while they lie, chest to back, holding each other? Do you know what it does to me? Joking about liking you a century ago, when I am here, just beside you, my chest aching from the thundering of my heart? Do you know, darling? Do you know what it does to me, when you smile at that name?

I want you to tell me that I am not alone. When I sleep, at 3 in the morning after talking to you, I dream of your warmth next to me. Of waking up to your morning hubbub and watching you get ready for work. Hair in ponytail, tugging on a blouse. This domesticity, this comfortable affection. I never wanted it before I met you, and now it is all I long for. A few years ago, I would have been horrified at how very consumed I have become with this small fantasy. This simple, little, unattainable dream.

I rarely ever have nightmares after talking to you. You have a way of quelling the darkness that wounds me.

If I could bring myself to, I would scream at you. See me now, I would say. Please. See me, arm outstretched, waiting for you to grab on. I would like to believe you would, chasing after the departing train like the love interest from a bollywood movie, shouting your sweet nothings from across the pathway. But I cannot scream at you, with your doe eyes gazing into my soul like that. And this isn't a bollywood movie. If I offered you my hand from the door of a moving train, if I begged you, just this once, to lace your fingers through mine, you would give me your photo smile and wave goodbye from the platform instead. You would stand there, quietly, the corners of your eyes crinkling so slightly. You would wait, and watch, as the world carried me far away.

So I scream in my own subtle ways for you, in the whispered compliments at 3:47 a.m.; in my affectionate insults and too-eager text messages. Praying that you notice, and also that you don't. Praying that someday, you will look at me like you look at her; all adoration and intoxication and love. Praying that this heart, this pulsing, stupid heart, wont cause the end of us, of this.

They say star death takes millions of years. The hottest, most brilliant ones live the shortest lives. If they are as spectacular as the thought of a you and a me; I would be afraid to even start. A star is the most spectacular in its death, no? The supernova. It is so beautiful, so colourful, so lovely- but it is still dying. It will be black and empty and wounded soon enough. I do not want to love you because it will be beautiful. And it will be the beginning of the end.

Happy moments blog 1

I read up on some site that an unhappy friend influences your mental health by -5 percent and a happy friend influences it by +7 percent. Since by blogs had been up until now all about unhappiness and all, I want to try and share something happy as well.

There are moments in life, when you feel like the king of the world. You feel like dancing, singing at public areas without a hint of shame. You don't care what the world thinks about you, because you are happy, inside and out.

Me and my friends decided to do a picnic early on this year. It was a magical day, it really was. If you're Indian, you would relate the day with some of the best Bollywood friendship movies you can find(like ZNMD, Dil Chahta Hai). There were 12-13 of us, the destination was at one of my friends' place, we cooked our own food and sat together in a room to eat. Athletico, remember him? Turns out he is the best chef among us. Another of my friend, Milking was the assistant. Milking has really funny stories, but today's not the day to share all of them. Well I won't name the other 10 now because it would then get confusing. We enjoyed a lot that day, we danced on beats, it was a great mood. Added to that, finally we had a really laughable photo session. When we went to our homes in the evening, a lot of us had it in our minds that we should go on a trip too. Even now, a lot of my friends including myself are pressurising the others for a post exam trip, don't know how that would turn out though, whether it would even occur or not.

Some of these moments really make me happy, everyone of us have memories, happy ones. Which helps us to cope up in times of sadness.

Whenever I'm sad, I go through my gallery where, among other things, I find those stupid yet precious dance videos where we danced carefree, our hearts out. They instantly lighten my mind.

Oh, did I tell you about the first time I received a gift from a girl I love? Stay tuned then cause I will, next..

90's Bollywood Diva Sonam Khan who has worked with some of the biggest names of Bollywood like Rishi Kapoor, Sunny Deol, Chunky Panday, recently took to Instagram to share a heartwarming post reflecting on the beautiful moments she shared with the iconic actor Dev Anand. For the unversed, they worked on the film Lashkar. The post featured a captivating photo from the sets of Lashkar, where Sonam played the role of Dev Sahaab's sister.

In her heartfelt caption, Sonam Khan takes a trip down memory lane, saying "Certain photos remind us of some beautiful moments that we gathered long ago and left us with a smile. This picture is from the sets of Lashkar, where I was playing the role of Dev Sahaab's sister. My role was a tough nut to crack as I was merely 15 years old and had such intense scenes, but Dev Sahaab was so kind to me that he made me prepare for my take and always got my back."

Reflecting on the excitement that always surrounded him and his love for films Sonam revealed "He had an enormous love for cinema and was very keen to continue his legacy, which can be seen as his excitement was always over the top. I found myself very fortunate that I got the opportunity to share the screen with someone whom I considered my idol.
