you know i think i had gotten kinda lucky finding so many great to ok totk reviews bc i went to search yesterday (my god is youtube shit at searches now man, i want to see stuff for what i searched for not 20 things other people watched) but there truly is some utter shit there
i went through some that boiled down to angry gamer mad about game (kinda glad really bc seeing someone that actually is like that it makes me feel less like im doing the same xD) one of which saying the only reason the building is in there is bc they were trying to copy ... FORTNITE??? and another ones big point was that .. the graphics and animations are the same which ... just sounds like one of those pokémon people angry that a new game doesnt redo every single model and animation for 400 NPCs
(also one with a one step away from porn thumbnail that later i saw someone else talk about and apparently og video was about zelda being ..... too ... woke ... actually made me a little curious bc what the fuck could possibly be woke in totk?? sonia having slightly darker skin????? but theres no way im giving someone like that views lol)
and a huge portion is videos making fun of bad reviews for totk ...... which i dont think i need to explain why thats not worth anyones time lol
i find it sad how hard it is to find more diverse kind of people making totk reviews since id love to hear someone that may understand and know more than i do talk about it, new perspective and all that (also since most reviews i found good are really taking everything at face value with no one really looking at how the whole hyrule kingdom vs evil desert man is kinda ... not cool) but then again i know how youtube can be and how extreme some hardcore totk defenders are so i probably wouldnt want to get into all that either :U

ohhhhh just finished raincode and im having a lot of complicated feelings. i feel like i need to write a looong long summary of my thoughts abt the game as a whole but as of rn i can say that in the end i did like it. even though i only sincerely became interested in it from chapter 4 on lol but anyway chapter 5 intrigued me so fucking much i finally felt like this is an actual well produced story. the epilogue broke me it made me so silly sad i cant help but think "aw. these r my little guys. i only wish for them to be happy." but yeah the game could use a few changes and improvements imo but its fine. i enjoy being into it

I lost all hope or trust for the 2024 live action ATLA when I heard talk of things happening in like episode 2 that originally took place in like ep 5 of the og show.
Any and all plot and character changes aside. The og atla, although having the old 20 ep season standard, is a decently fast-paced show. They literally go from the south poll to the North poll + detours in those 20 episodes.
I can't find it in me to believe that anyone could do any sort of justice to a story previously comprised of 20 distinct episodes in only 8 episodes.
I don't care that those episodes are, for some reason, the length of an overachieving short film (52mins)
I lose faith in something as soon as you start compressing storylines just for the sake of compressing things.

good morning everyone. i just did a search for the word 'love' in dune and noticed that jessica says or thinks about loving leto, alia, chani, gaius helen fucking mohaim... but not paul. and paul never says or thinks about loving jessica (although certainly about hating her). and i just feel so sad for her and him both. because they do clearly both love each other but there's so much in the way.

I miss being able to sit and do a thing until it is done. I keep having to take breaks to put my feet up and rest my arms.
But the case fans, power supply, blu ray drive and hard drive cage are all correctly installed in the case (not wired yet), the extra cage is removed, and my next step is to install the mobo standoffs, which requires standing and which I may well have to draft someone else in the family to do. We'll see how I am in an hour or three.
The case fans were finicky and really annoying because the case came with two white fans, and I bought two black fans, and was going to either have two black fans or two white fans in front and one of the other color on each of the back and the bottom. HOWEVER, the case came with ONE set of short screws suitable for back and bottom, and two sets of long front screws. The fans came with install pegs... which are not flat enough to go on the bottom. I couldn't install the white fans in the back AND bottom because not enough of the right, odd screws. So now the front has one black and one white and the bottom has a white with the flat short screws and the back has a black one and I won't see it in day to day because the front panel will obscure them but I KNOW THEY ARE THERE and it bothers me. I may well email the case manufacturer and say, "Dude, you sent eight power supply screws but zero extra short fan screws."
They are not interchangeable. This felt like a missionaries and cannibals problem. (And do we have a less obnoxious, less colonizer name for that puzzle?)
To make up for this headache, the optical drive aligned with EIGHT screw holes and I completely unnecessarily put ALL EIGHT screws in the aligned screw holes and now if I ever somehow need to secure something in the bay below it, I will KNOW where the extra screws are.

Happy Blorbo Blursday! I don't have a specific question, but wanna tell me something about Kristopher's siblings?
OOOH, THANK YOU ROSE!!! This is a very good question!!
tw for vague mentions of abuse / neglect !!
So, Kristopher is the youngest of 6 kids, and has four brothers and one sister. His brothers are all assholes, and joined in with the kingdom's (and his parents') sentiment that Kristopher was a useless piece of shit. They bullied him as a child, and will still take any chance to make fun of him or push his buttons.
His brothers all were raised more closely by their father, meaning that they were taught to be uncaring and cruel like him, and to not give a shit about the people of the kingdom they might eventually rule. Ironically, by being neglected, Kristopher actually wound up having morals.
Because his brothers, especially the oldest two, actually have a chance at becoming King one day, they got tutors and and stuff, and when they were older got taught how to use a sword, and were allowed to sit in with their father on meetings and stuff. Pierre (Kristopher's father) basically thought there was no point in wasting money on tutors for a son who was never going to amount to anything, so Kristopher had a lot of free time. He finally convinced someone to allow him to train with a sword, and really, really liked it. It's one of his actually healthy ways to deal with stress. Even though he started later than all his brothers and was younger than them, he can kick their asses in his sleep. (and frequently does)
However, his brothers would hate to be embarrassed by losing to their younger brother, especially the Extra, so whenever the princes participate in a tournament or something, Kris is politely asked (read: forced) to sit out.
However, not all of his siblings are quite so awful. His sister was also viewed as a relatively unimportant child, given that Oryn is a strict patriarchy. So, she kind of related to Kristopher, even though her growing up was nothing like his. She's the one who started calling him Kris, and is really the only person who did so up until he went to Anvia.
Sadly, she was married off a few years before the story starts, against her will, to a foreign noble. Kristopher hasn't seen her in a couple years, though they still exchange letters. But letters are slow when they have to cross the ocean.
P.S.: I should also note that his sister would absolutely get along marvelously with Fallon, and I headcanon that she's the only relative he invites to their wedding. <3

Heidi how have you never watched the lodge?!?!?!??!
i don't know, it just happened this way
i started watching their clips in 2016 when aaron's sl started. and when i decided i'm invested, i decided to check how their story actually started. and i watched from 2014 till july 2015, probably the 7th. and then i stopped for some reason and i did watch the who killed robert sl but somehow i never went back to the lodge.
maybe part of me was scared for some reason? i'm still not really in the mood to watch it, i always skip it on my rewatches too.
