Nakshatra-Specific Birthday Rituals and Traditions
Janma Nakshatra is an important indicator of your destiny according to Vedic astrology. It is determined by the constellation or Nakshatra, in which the moon is placed at the time of your birth. It is believed that this position of the moon has a powerful influence on an individual’s life, affecting their physical and mental characteristics, career, and relationships.
In Vedic astrology, each Janma Nakshatra, or birth star, is associated with unique characteristics and instincts. These are determined by the deity and planet associated with the star. Every Nakshatra has its likes, dislikes and areas in which it excels. Through understanding these qualities, one can gain insight into their personality and use it to their advantage.
The different Nakshatras are:

Things To Be Done On Your Nakshatra Birthday
It is essential to wake up early throughout the year and even more important to do so on your Janma Tithi. The best time to wake up is during the Brahma Muhurta, when negative vibrations are significantly reduced, and you are protected for the rest of the day. If waking up in Brahma Muhurta is not possible, try to wake up as early as possible. This will help your body to reject any evil vibrations that may be present on your Janma tithi.
Abhyanga, or oil massage, is a key part of ‘Living Right’ according to Vedic astrology. This practice involves gently rubbing warm and medicated oils on your body before you take a bath each morning. This massage improves blood circulation and regulates the production of hormones, which can help to keep you alert to the beneficial vibrations of the cosmos throughout the day. Abhyanga helps to strengthen both the physical and psychological aspects of your being.
On the occasion of your Janma tithi, it is especially important to seek blessings from your parents. Our existence results from both our parents’ masculine and feminine energies and expressing gratitude to them is essential for energizing our mind and body. We are likely unaware of the benefits of their blessings in our lives, but they can help us overcome any difficulties we may face. Additionally, it is recommended to seek blessings from the elders in your family to get their sage advice and support.
It is important to remember the importance of worshipping your Kul Devata (Family Deity) on your Janma tithi (birthday). Your ancestors selected the Kul Devata with great wisdom, a powerful deity. By worshipping it on your birthday, you can recharge your spiritual energies, protect yourself from negative influences, and gain the inner courage and strength to overcome any obstacles you may face during the year. You can also choose to worship your Ishta Devata or any other deity.
Visiting a temple is a great way to nurture and cleanse yourself spiritually. On the day of your birth, known as Janma tithi, the vibrations of your being will be in harmony with the energy of the temple. This is an ideal time to visit the nearest temple and offer a ritualistic puja to receive the deity’s blessings and absorb the spiritual energy present in the temple.
Try making a traditional concoction of cow’s milk, jaggery, and black sesame seeds to bring joy to the year ahead. To get the most out of this remedy, face east and drink it three times. According to Vedic astrology, this practice will help to ward off any obstacles and put you in a more positive frame of mind.
Performing Aukshan should be done by a spiritually evolved person in the family or otherwise. He must light a lamp before you and sprinkle Akshat, or unbroken rice, along with yellow or vermillion, on your head and other body parts. This will activate your chakras. Aukshan will help you withdraw your senses from the outer world. Your contemplation and meditative powers will be enhanced. This ritual will cleanse your aura, remove the dark covering surrounding your body and increase your sattvikta.
At the time of your birth, the Sun and Moon align to create a special moment known as Tithi Pravesha. During this day, it is important to pay attention to your diet. Try to plan a sattvic diet that is pure and consumed in moderation. This type of diet should avoid non-vegetarian food, alcohol, cigarettes, and any other intoxicants. By avoiding pollutants and keeping your body clean, you can attract positive vibrations from the Universe. On your Janma tithi, practice Vratdharna or observe a fast. On the day of Tithi Pravesha, eating light and sticking to a sattvic diet will help you to enhance your concentration and evolve spiritually.
The 5 Great Elements, or Panchmahabhoot, form the basis of our physical existence. Through their combination, the human body is created. It is important to contemplate and chant mantras for these elements to ensure our spiritual and mental well-being. Doing so can purify our bodies and keep us in peace and balance for the year until the next Tithi Pravesha.
Tithi Pravesha is a perfect day to perform charity and increase karmic strength. This is done by donating food and clothes to those in need and feeding cows green grass. Doing so on this day can protect one from negative energies and help to progress along the spiritual path.
Tithi Pravesha is an important ritual that requires us to seek forgiveness from those we have hurt, intentionally or unintentionally. This is a complex ritual, but we must do so to rid ourselves of negative energies and move on the path of spirituality. We can be absolved of our sins by expressing remorse on this day. We should seek forgiveness with folded hands, humbly acknowledging our wrongdoings and vowing not to repeat them. When we seek forgiveness and apologize sincerely, we heal ourselves and others. Ultimately, we open the door to spiritual progress by forgiving those who have wronged us.
Rituals performed on Tithi Pravesha are a significant part of Samskaras and an important part of Vedic tradition. The practice of these rituals helps to increase a person’s spiritual awareness and further accelerates the flow of prana through the chakras. This helps the individual to combat any negative energies that may be surrounding them. It is important to observe the Janma tithi, which is the day of one’s birth, as closely as possible according to the Vedic traditions. By doing so, an individual can strive to gain true knowledge and enlightenment, dispel darkness and understand the purpose of their human form.
Conclusion
Birth time is important in Vedic astrology, as it can help you benefit from its positive vibrations. Your birth’s Tithi (lunar day) is particularly significant, as it can provide you with the auspicious principles to welcome divine influence. This is also related to the alignment of the stars and constellations at the time of your birth. Therefore, it is important to note your Janam-tithi (birth Tithi) to use the positive energy it can provide.

Ketu and Purpose of life
The sooner your talents and limitations are identified, the more blunders you can steer clear of!
Identify your mission!
In the Vimshottari dasha system of Vedic Astrology, Ketu and Rahu both have their own periods, with the primary Ketu period lasting seven years. If Ketu is not in the proper position, it is said that one cannot endure more. In a sense, Ketu pulls a person into a spiritual existence throughout its phase by eliminating material ties.
Every planet has its own season throughout the year. The peak summer season in India, which falls in May and June in the West, is tied to Ketu along with the Sun and Moon.
Ketu gains more power during Dakshinayan, like all malefics (when the Sun passes along the northern path - from June 21 to December 22).
The days throughout the month when the Moon passes over the Ketu-owned Nakshatras of Ashvini (Aries), Mahga (Leo), and Mula are when Ketu is most potent (Sagittarius).
Additionally, Ketu is associated with Chaturthi, or the fourth lunar day of a waning or growing moon. And in Krishna Paksha, Ketu is most potent (the time when the Moon is waning).
Every day of the week has a distinct planet linked with it, as you are all aware. And because of his excellent relationships with Jupiter and Mars, it is said that Ketu is most potent on Tuesday and Thursday.
Ketu's powers are most potent during daybreak and the early morning hours. In Vedic culture, this period is known as Brahma Muhurta. The Creator's time is now. The astral spheres are at their greatest during Brahma Muhurta, making this the ideal time for meditation and devotion. You may now feel the Divine and have a spiritual experience.
People who are born at night are most impacted by Ketu in their life since, like other malefics, he is strongest during the night.
The time of Ketu in a person's life is between the ages of 47 and 54. When they get close to this age, people change. Depending on the placement of Ketu and the planets in the horoscope, a person may acquire a lot at this time or lose everything.
A spiritual journey is thought to begin at the age of 47.

Goddess Kushmanda is the destroyer of diseases instantly. The devotee who worships him gets good health along with wealth and prosperity. If there is any most efficient way to please Hanuman Ji, then it is Hanuman Chalisa followed by the Path (recitation) of Sunderkand. Doing these with reverence and devotion pleases Bajrang Bali, and he rectifies all the troubles of his devotees. The Ramayana shows the virtues of Shri Ram and his efforts. The entire life character of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram is contained in the Ramcharit Manas composed by Goswami Tulsidas. Although reading each of its chapters is virtuous and will take one closer to Lord Shri Ram, Sundarkand has been considered the best. Sunderkand is a part of Shri Ramcharit Manas, composed by Tulsidas Ji. The great works done by Hanuman Ji have been described in Sunderkand. Sunderkand is the chapter in Ramayana, which focuses on the story of the power and triumph of Hanuman Ji.
Maharishi Valmiki wrote the entire Ramayana in the Sanskrit language. After that, Tulsidas Ji wrote Ramayana (Shri Ram Charit Manas) in the Awadhi language. Sunderkand is the fifth chapter (kand) of Shri Ram Charit Manas.
Sundarkand describes the departure of Hanuman Ji to Lanka, meeting Vibhishan, meeting Sita and giving her the ring of Shri Ram, the killing of Akshay Kumar, Lanka Dahan, and his return from Lanka. In Sunderkand, Hanuman Ji reaches to the rescue of Mata Sita and provides her with hope of Shri Rama’s long-awaited arrival. The Sunderkand has a special significance for the devotees of Hanuman Ji. By reciting Sunderkand, one gets freedom from fear, strengthening his/her confidence. Those who recite the Sunderkand, especially on Tuesdays and Saturdays, get rid from all the diseases, plagues, troubles, and misfortunes and good news starts knocking on the door for them.
youtube
Hanuman Ji discovered Sita with his intelligence and strength. Sunderkand describes the success and valour of Hanuman Ji as he went to Lanka in search of Sita Mata. Ashok Vatika was situated in the beautiful mountain of Lanka where Hanuman Ji met Sita Mata. Their meeting is beautifully described in this episode. Due to this major incident, and the beauty with which Mata Sita and Hanuman Ji meet, as if the meeting of a Son and Mother, this chapter of the Ramayana was named Sunderkand.
The main events of this chapter of Shri Ram Charit Manas include Hanuman Ji’s departure towards Lanka, meeting Vibhishana, meeting Mata Sita, giving her the ring of Shri Ram, Lanka Dahan (burning), and return from Lanka. The entire story of valour gets the well deserved name of Sunderkand

• Sunderkand provides most auspicious results when recited at the time of Brahma Muhurta (1 hour and 36 minutes before sunrise) or evening. The timing for Brahma Mahurat varies every day and one must consult a Pandit to find out the best time for recitation.
• One should not get up in between the recitation of the Path and must complete it in one sitting. The Path should be done with utmost devotion and al taking and distractions must be avoided if possible.
• Also ensure to follow Brahmacharya throughout the day on which Sunderkand Path is performed.
• Avoiding vengeful things, non-vegetarian diet, alcohol, foul word, etc are a must throughout the day if you want to please Hanuman Ji.
youtube
• If one wants to recite Sundarkand alone, it should be done in the morning, between 4 to 6 o’clock in the Brahma Muhurta. If reciting Sunderkand with a group, then it can be done after 7 pm in the evening.
• While reciting Sunderkand, its book should be kept in front of you by laying a clean cloth on a checkpost (chaukee).
• Its book should never be kept on the ground or near the feet.
• Sunderkand can be recited in the clean room of your house or in the temple.
• Before the beginning of the lesson, Hanuman Ji and Shri Ram must be called and farewell at the end.
• A monolithic lamp must be lit during the entire recitation of Sunderkand.
• The pronunciation of all the chaupais of Sunderkand should be clear and flawless.
• Once you start a chapter, get up only after completing it.
• The recitation/reading should not be paused in between if possible, or else follow the rules mentioned above.
• Do not eat or drink anything during the Paath.
• Hanuman Chalisa should also be recited after the recitation of Sunderkand is completed.
• Pregnant women should not recite Sunderkand.
• Do not consume tamasic things like meat, alcohol, smoking, gutka, etc., at all.
• On the day of Paath, do not cut nails and do not cut hair.
• For the whole day of the recitation, follow celibacy.
• Do not buy sharp things like knives or scissors on that day.
• Keep a red handkerchief in your pocket on this day.
• After the Sundarkand Paath, distribute sweets to the children and feed food to Brahmins.
Tumblr media
The best days for Sunderkand recitation are Saturdays and Tuesdays. In fact, Tuesday is dedicated to Hanuman Ji and any non-vegetarian food is generally avoided by Hindus on Tuesdays in honour of Lord Hanuman. Sunderkand Path is typically performed with full devotion and in one sitting.
Poornima (Full Moon Day) and Amavasya (New Moon Day) are also considered auspicious for Sunderkand Recitation.
• Firstly, the devotee should take a bath and wear clean clothes for the Puja. After this, make preparations for some Prasad for the Puja. Yellow Ladoo as well as Boondi can be used as a prasad for Hanuman Ji.
• Offer flowers, garlands, tilak, sandalwood, and other Puja Materials to the idol/picture of Bajrang Bali.
• Light a lamp which is made from either metal or clay, with a cotton wick, dipped in pure Desi Ghee in front of Hanuman Ji. This needs to be kept on during the entire Sunderkand Path.
• Start the prayer with the Aarti or worship to Lord Shree Ganesh, followed by Mantras for Shankar-Parvati, Lord Rama-Sita-Lakshman, and finally Lord Hanuman mantras and Hanuman Chalisa.
• The recitation of Sunderkand Path can now be started. It is optional to call upon a Bhajan Mandali and perform the Path on full scale.
• After completing the Path, perform the Shri Ram Ji and Lord Hanuman. Offer bhog of sweet boondi (droplet like sweet) or jaggery gram and distribute it to all the people present

Parmeshwar Kabir’s 506th Emancipation Day (Nirvan Diwas)
This is a non-controversial fact that Kabir Saheb did not die. Kabir Saheb manifested on a Lotus flower in Lahartara pond in Kashi. He ascended in His body to his personal abode Satlok in front of thousands of people on the Ekadashi of Shukl Paksha in the Magh month of Hindu calendar in 1575 Vikrami Samvat (1518 A.D.). At that time King Bijali Khan Pathan, Bir Singh Baghel, and other followers were there. Hindu and Muslim both communities were among His followers. On the remembrance of that day 506th Emancipation day is going to be celebrated. Let's know more about His Emancipation Day.
Purna Brahm Kabir Saheb
It is illustrated in the Vedas that the Supreme God descends on the earth in every age. In Satyug He appears by the name of Sat Sukrit, in the Treta Yug by the name of Munindra Rishi, in the Dwapar Yug by the name of Karunamayi, and in the Kalyug by His real name Kabir. Kabir Saheb appears in the form of a baby on earth and is received by the childless couple in every yug. So Kabir Saheb manifested in Kaliyug also and went back to His immortal abode Satlok. When Kabir Saheb appeared on the lotus flower in Lahartara pond in Kashi in the Brahma muhurta, Swami Ramanand ji's disciple Rishi Ashtanand ji was a direct witness to that scene. Later, a Brahmin couple, Neeru and Neema, found the baby and took Him with them. There is evidence in the Vedas (Rigveda Mandala 10 Sukta 4 Mantra 3) that the Supreme God never takes birth from the womb of the mother and He is nurtured by virgin cows. (Rigveda Mandala 9 Sukta 1 Mantra 9).
Role of Kabir Saheb on Earth
Kabir Sahib came in the Bhakti era i.e. in the medieval period of our history. His unique and valuable Kabir Vani/poetry is an invaluable treasure for not only to devotees but also to the literary world. Many secrets are hidden in those poems/ Kabir Vani that are famous as Kabir Amrit Vani, but what did Lord Kabir try to teach through his poems?
Kabir Saheb's ideologies are mainly related to the segment of the society that is discriminated against on the basis of economic background and caste. He often criticized the religious preachers of both the Hindu and Muslim sects for not giving information about the True Almighty. He directly criticized the ritualistic practices guided by religious preachers in the name of God.
We have been listening to Kabir Ji’s poems since our childhood days. One may wonder, then Who is Kabir? The reality is that the poet / the saint whom the whole world calls a weaver is actually God who came in human form and gave true spiritual knowledge to His beloved souls. This has been proved in all the holy scriptures i.e. pious Quran Sharif, pious Vedas, holy Bible, pious Guru Granth Sahib that Kabir is God.
Kabir Saheb Maghar Leela
When Kabir Saheb was 120 years old in His divine Kashi act, He decided to bid goodbye to this world from a place called Maghar, presently in Uttar Pradesh. During that time, the Hindu preachers propagated the belief that those who die in the city of Kashi go to heaven while those who die in the city of Maghar go to hell and become a donkey in the next birth. To refute this belief system, Kabir Saheb decided to go back to Satlok from the city of Maghar.
He used to live in Kashi. Kashi was under the reign of Bir Singh Baghel while Maghar was under the reign of Bijali Khan Pathan and both the kings were Kabir Saheb’s disciples. To demonstrate that place plays no role in attaining heaven, Kabir Saheb started His journey to Maghar on foot. Bir Singh Baghel came along with his army to accompany Kabir Saheb with an intention to claim His dead body for cremation as per Hindu rites. This year (2024) Parmeshwar Kabir’s Emancipation Day is on February 20.
Departure of God Kabir From Maghar to Satlok
When Bijali Khan learned that Kabir Saheb is coming to Maghar to live His final few days along with Bir Singh Baghel, he made all the necessary arrangements for all of them and even he prepared his army to claim Kabir Saheb's dead body for final rites as per Islamic traditions. When everyone arrived at the city of Maghar, Kabir Saheb informed Bijali Khan that He wanted to take a bath. Bijali Khan told Kabir Saheb that water was ready.
Kabir Saheb told Bijali Khan that He wanted to take a bath in flowing water. Bijali Khan informed Kabir Saheb that due to lord Shiva's curse the only river in the area called "Aami River" had dried up, so it wouldn't be possible for Him to have a bath in flowing water. Kabir Saheb asked Bijali Khan to take Him to the river. When they reached the bank of the river Aami, Kabir Saheb made a gesture as if He was calling the water and immediately water started flowing in the river.
Instructions of Kabir saheb to Hindus and Muslims
When they came back, both the kings started arguing as to who would take the dead body for final rites. Kabir Saheb got angry with this and told them that no one will fight for His dead body as they would not find one. To resolve the issue, Kabir Saheb asked for two sheets of cloth. He spread one of them on the floor and layed down on it while He used the other to cover Himself. He instructed both the kings to divide whatever they got in between these sheets into equal parts and use them for cremation as per their individual traditions.
Not Dead Body but Only Fragrant Flowers were Found
When Kabir Saheb left this planet and ascended back to Satlok He made an ether announcement stating that He is going to Satlok which is far beyond heaven and that there was no body between those sheets. People saw a bright effulgent body of Kabir Saheb ascending into the sky. When they opened the sheet all they found was a bunch of fragrant flowers in the shape of Kabir Sahib's body. Kabir Saheb went back to Satlok along with His body.
When Kabir Saheb left this universe, everyone present there cried bitterly as if they had lost a parent. Both the kings divided those flowers and sheets, and cremated them as per their religious beliefs. Memorial structures stand there today for both Hindus and Muslims just some distance away from each other. Bir Singh Baghel took a few of those flowers to Kashi and made a tombstone for Kabir Saheb's memory in Kashi as well.
Kabir Parmeshwar Ji's 506th Emancipation Day Celebration
In memory of the same day, Huge Bhandara is being organized at 10 Satlok Ashrams - Satlok Ashram Dhanana Dham Rohtak (Haryana), Satlok Ashram Kurukshetra (Haryana), Satlok Ashram Bhiwani (Haryana), Satlok Ashram Sojat (Rajasthan), Satlok Ashram Shamli (Uttar Pradesh), Satlok Ashram Khamanon (Punjab), Satlok Ashram Dhuri (Punjab), Satlok Ashram Mundka (Delhi) and Satlok Ashram Janakpur (Nepal). Free Naam Diksha, blood donation camp, dowry and dowry free Ramaini (marriage) etc. are also being organized. All are invited to attend this huge Bhandara.

But playing the role of a weaver, Supreme God Kabir Sahe ji provided food to all the eighteen lakh saints and saints. Bhandara brought all the food from Satlok (Immortal World) and gave a dohar and a mohar to each person eating food and also gave dry rice. That supernatural feast continued for three consecutive days.
Kabir Gosai, you did not give the kitchen, you came as a hair dryer. Through Paranandani Jaa, disguised as Bahu Bidhi.
Kabir Parmeshwar had acted in two forms at that time, one in the form of a poor weaver sitting in his hut and the other in the form of Keshi carrying bags of cooked goods and dry goods and Dohar-Mohar on 9 lakh bulls from his Satlok. Filled it and brought it. Around 18 lakh people were blessed with Sadavrata Bhandara for three days, and Satgyan was explained through satsang for 8 pahar (24 hours), after listening to which many lakhs of saints took Naam Diksha and got their welfare done.
God Kabir is present even today. He always remains present as a Tatvadarshi saint. Today he has come before us in the form of Jagatguru Tatvdarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. Such precious bhandaras are also organized in the presence of Sant Rampalji Maharaj. In which uninterrupted recitation of respected Garib Das Ji Maharaj's speech, satsang, dowry-free marriage, blood donation and body donation camps are also organised. Apart from this, Sadavrata Bhandara is held throughout the year in all his ashrams.
By visiting such religious stores given by complete saints, crores of sins and sorrows are destroyed. One gets virtue and the ancestors also get liberated.
A similar Divya Dharma Bhandara is being organized on 26-27-28 November 2023. Three-day free Bhandara in 9 ashrams of Sant Rampalji Maharaj across the country.
Kabir ji is known by the entire human society as a great saint and poet. But in reality he is completely divine. Kabir ji has been coming in every era, the testimony of which is also given by our religious texts.
Kabir Saheb ji appeared in the form of an infant on a lotus flower in the Brahma Muhurta in the morning of Jyestha month Shukla Purnamasi Vikram Samvat 1455 (year 1398) in Lahartara pond of Kashi city of India in Kalyug.
Kabir Saheb came to this earth approximately 626 years ago and left after performing many activities. At that time Kabir Saheb had 64 lakh disciples, this is a big thing for you.
Kabir Saheb did many activities throughout his life, one of which was organizing a Bhandara for lakhs of people in Kashi, it was not within the power of any poor weaver to do this, but Kabir Saheb was actually a complete God for whom it was not impossible to do anything. .
Pir Shekatki of Delhi's King Sikandar Lodhi was jealous of Kabir ji. He did not want to accept Kabir ji as Allah/God, and also kept making plans to humiliate him in different ways. The fake pundits of Kashi also wanted to take advantage of this because their shop of hypocrisy was being closed due to the true knowledge of Kabir Saheb. Together they wrote false letters and invited eighteen lakh people including Sikandar Lodhi to the Bhandara. It was also written in the letter that each person who dined would get one dohar and one gold mohar. He did this thinking that how would one weaver provide food to so many people?
