“La lengua es como un cuchillo afilado. Mata sin mostrar sangre” Buda

Siddhartha Gautama o Buda, fue un asceta, meditante, eremita y sabio, en cuyas enseñanzas se fundó el budismo.

Nació en una familia aristocrática, en la ya desaparecida república de Sakia, cerca de la frontera entre el actual Nepal y el estado de Uttar Pradesh, en India. Su padre era un jefe electo tribal y su madre, murió cuando Siddhartha era un niño. Los primeros textos budistas contienen muy poca información sobre el nacimiento y la juventud de Gautama.

Se dice que Siddhartha renunció a la vida laica y, después de varios años de mendicidad, meditaciones y ascetismo, experimentó un despertar espiritual. Por lo tanto se le conoce con el titulo de “Buda”, que significa “El despierto”.

Las leyendas biográficas cuentan cómo su padre, deseaba que su hijo se convirtiese en un gran rey y lo protegió de las enseñanzas religiosas y del conocimiento de la existencia del sufrimiento. Se dice que Siddhartha vivió como principe durante 29 años, hasta el incidente denominado de “Los cuatro encuentros”.

Durante “Los cuatro encuentros”, Siddhartha dejó el palacio para reunirse con sus súbditos en cuatro ocasiones, en cada uno de esas salidas, Siddhartha encontró a un hombre viejo, a un enfermo, un cadaver en descomposición y a un asceta. Estos “cuatro encuentros” deprimieron a Siddhartha por lo que se esforzó en encontrar la forma de erradicar el sufrimiento,  del envejecimiento, la enfermedad y la muerte llevando una vida de asceta.

El Buda enseñó lo que se conoce como el “camino medio”, entre la complacencia sensual y el ascetismo estricto que era común en esta región de la India. 

Los textos tempranos, relatan que en una noche de luna llena, Gautama se sentó bajo la reconocida “higuera arbórea sagrada”, en donde juraría que solo se levantaría hasta encontrar la verdad. Durante varias semanas debajo de este árbol, tras 49 días de meditación continua y contando con 35 años de edad, Siddhartha logra entrar en el estado “bodi”, de despertar y de completo discernimiento, no sin antes ser tentado por una tormenta, y estar rodeado por aflicciones.

Conforme al budismo, en el momento de su despertar, el Buda llevó a cabo una comprensión completa sobre la causa del sufrimiento y sobre cómo eliminarlo. A esta comprensión se le conoce como “Las cuatro nobles verdades”.

Comprendió que ya no pesaba sobre él, la ilusión del falso yo, y que su verdadero ser estaba más allá de las dualidades del aferramiento a lo placentero y a lo repulsivo. Y habiendo trascendido el espacio y el tiempo, la vida y la muerte, había detenido el eterno girar de la rueda del “Samsara”, o el ciclo de nacimiento, vida, muerte y rencarnación. 

Buda afirmaba que es a través del dominio total de estas cuatro nobles verdades, que cualquier ser humano es capaz de alcanzar el supremo estado de liberación o el “Nirvana”.

El Buda describió al Nirvana, como la perfecta paz de una psique que está libre de todo tipo de ignorancia (ausencia de sabiduría), avidez, odio y otros estados dolorosos.

Buda muere a la edad de 80 años en India entre los años 483 al 368 a.C.

Sonhadores Fáceis para a Vida

Ao decidir sonhar apenas sonhos autorrealizáveis, qual seja, que possam ser realizados apenas por mim, individualmente (sem envolver outros humanos), a vida tornou-se tanto mais fácil quanto mais encantadora e sonhável. Os tempos difíceis para os sonhadores - quem diria - podem ser fáceis. Basta ao sonhador adaptar-se. Eis a minha descoberta (até então secreta). Basta o sonhador ser fácil para a vida. É uma troca.

Dentre os sonhos autorrealizáveis, estava um, baixinho (quase calado), aparência simplória. Na superfície, poderia soar deveras bobo. De modo que apenas uma pessoa sabia. Aquela que tinha tanto amor que enxergaria as coisas como realmente são, e não como utopia, niilismo. Não como quer; como precisa. Ela era você (e você sou eu, lembra? Reflexos).

Eis o sonho: uma fotografia da minha família. Posto que fotos, para mim, são pedaços de memória perenes, poderosas, transporte no tempo e espaço. Considerando: o tempo, como o conhecemos, não existe, é mera convenção.

Era sábado. Meu filho mais novo, Max Eduardo, me acordara antes mesmo do sol aquiescer. É hoje! pensei. Realizar o sonho de alvorecer com o sol, o mar, a yoga, num lugar de poder da minha predileção e com meu filho do meio, Charles Eduardo. E foi mágico. Uma troca.

A vida - caixinha de surpresas e de Pandora - surpreendeu-me. Ainda havia muito que a maré iria me trazer naquela aurora tão ensolarada, doce e salgada: o surfe. Lá, por um feliz alinhamento, encontrei um amigo, talentoso e devoto retratador, cuja vida havia sido profundamente marcada pelo quinze de dezembro, assim como a minha. E houve uma troca: uma soma não-zero. Considerando: os números, como os conhecemos, não existem, são meras convenções.

Eis que meu filho mais velho, Artur Eduardo, por um feliz alinhamento, chegou. E o sonho, outrora dormente nos porões da alma - despegado, movediço, lodoso - alçou a luz: a fotografia, o recorte de momento imperecível, pelo olhar de um artista grandioso. Da lama nasce a flor de lótus.

nu doar aspectul, trecând prin întregul spectru.

El nu e nimeni

și-n același timp e tot,

pretutindeni, nelăsând loc de echivoc,

fără probleme de timp,

probleme de mod-
