Hi, mind if we get some headcannons for TFA Bumblebee?

I would say Tfa Bumblebee is a protective, very confident and sometimes playfull pred.

-Like the bots working for ghost, he'd also eat prey to keep them from danger, which in most cases means eating them when a rampaging decipticon appears, however other dangers work aswell

(I am aware that Bumblebee doesn't work for ghost, but he is quite similiar to the bots working at ghost when it comes to protecting civilians)

-Might think he can handle more prey than he actually can, due to being a little too confident

-Occasionally noms a friend to mess with them

Playfully nibbling them

licking them

etc

-Might even nom prey to put them in time out

(Due to him being a teacher)

He is so tired…

This planet has too many weird things, why not add this to the list.

At first, Ratchet doesn’t believe that Buddy in made of the gemstone. He thinks that this is some sort of prank or trick they are doing with Sari and or Bumblebee.

“I’m made out of gemstones.”--Buddy

“Oh yeah? And I suppose that Professor Sumdac has Megatron’s severed head in his lab.”--Ratchet

However, after finding out about Sari, he is more likely to believe or at least give it some thought. He is considering maybe doing some scan in the future, at least for health purposes.

When Buddy gives him permission to do some scans, Ratchet is absolutely in shock.

“By the Allspark…”--Ratchet

“See I told—”--Buddy

“How are you even functioning?! No fuel pump; no stomach; no heart; no spark?! It’s just gems! How are you even alive?!”--Ratchet

“…Now that you mention it, I don’t know…”--Buddy

“That doesn’t make me feel good kid. How do you not know?!”--Ratchet

“I don’t know! I never thought of it until now!”--Buddy

He wants to do some more testing, with Buddy’s permission of course. Ratchet wants to be a bit more educated on Buddy’s anatomy or whatever they have in case they get hurt.

If Buddy was ever near the line of fire, Ratchet is going to get in front of Buddy immediately.

Sure, Buddy may be a bit more durable than your average human, but a gemstone can only go so far against Autobot steel or Decepticon steel.

Buddy isn’t going to crack on his watch.

Bumblebee

Bumblebee doesn’t believe it at first. He thinks that it’s a prank like he has done with Sari.

No matter what Buddy tells him, Bee is determined not to fall for it.

“I’m telling you Bee! I’m made out of gemstones!”--Buddy

“Not falling for it Buddy. You’re not fooling this bot. Why don’t you try that trick on Doc-bot or Bulkhead?”--Bumblebee

It isn’t until Ratchet does some scans and sees the scans himself does, he believes it. Now he wants to know everything about Buddy’s rock body.

Bumblebee gets Sari to get the gemstone Buddy is made out of to make jokes.

“Hey Buddy look at this! You’ll never be too far from me now!”--Bumblebee

Shows off dozens of gem bracelets on his servos.

“… Nice.”--Buddy

Buddy just rolls with it.

If Buddy was ever near the line of fire, Bee wouldn’t worry too much, at first. If things start looking bad, Bee is getting Buddy out of there.

He has seen how quickly some rocks crumble on this planet, he doesn’t want that to happen to Buddy.

Started watching TFA. Only about 5 episodes in.

But can we talk about Prowl??

Seems like he was thrust onto the space bridge team like Optimus; no choice, after training for bigger and better things.

But he's trying. Not necessarily to be a team player, but to help. He's a bit of a loose cannon who doesn't like taking orders, but he's analytical. Works out solutions for if he was solo (which doesn't really work with the team following another own plan.)

I love just how much he loves organic life, too. And the way he retains information! Watched a cat stalk a bird one time, and can then replicate the movements to a T. He chose a room with a busted roof so he could study the birds in the tree. He was *trying* to watch a documentary on metamorphosis, but.. well. Bumbles isn't very patient.

Speaking of Bumblebee, I feel like the two are pretty close, even with Prowl's semi-lone wolf stance. Sure, Bumblebee teases him for his love of nature, but Bee's earthly fixation rn seems to be his friendship with Sari. Plus I saw a later clip where Prowl does p much the same thing, telling Bumblebee they'll be able to get Blitzwing to change face/alt mode by Bumbles annoying him.

Idk. I just think he's neat.

More stuff for the bee of the multiverse TFA arc

-during the elite guard boot camp bumble was actually top of the class- due to having the knowledge and skill from the past universes which annoys the heck out of Sentinal- I think bee would remind him of Optimus a little because bee idolises Optimus as learned a lot of his skills from him

-wasp and ironhide still bully bee because wasp is jealous but stop after a little bit since bumblebee by now is a master of showing fake happiness

-after that they become semi friends not full ones because both of them genuinely dislike each other but respect is there.

-longarm/shockwave and bulkhead were close to him, ghostscream knows that longarm is a traitor but is hiding it because he want him and bee to get to neutral territory to become neutrals, this never happens since they crashed landed on earth shockwave actually semi likes the little yellow guy and is quite curious about that black matter that appears when the bug gets to upset

-as soon as bulkhead accidentally destroys a building bee goes with him knowing this is his chance to get to neutral territory surprise the rest of his platoon because bee had a bright future ahead of him

-he clicks with Sari fast as usual but is sorta weary of the other humans

-while they were repairing space bridges he got close to Optimus with history since he technically live through it multiple times. He often has to hide his snicker when he thinks about the silly things that happened during the war.

Ratchet thought bumblebee would be extreamly annoying- which he is bumblebee is still a young adult after all but is surprised by his understanding by his ptsd (haha bumblebee comforting ratchet about his ptsd when in reality bumblebee has the ptsd of the past four universes to deal with) he is really worried about the kids upbringing

-when the whole dimensional thing is revealed ratchet immeadiatly turns to bee after finding out how many wars he’s lived through , how many wars he was essentially raised in he’s out for blood he also tells ghostscream “if I find out your manipulating him in any way I will go through dimensions as well to fragging kill you again”

Bulkhead and him are best friends to bumblebee bulkhead is like a breath of fresh air as he didn’t really know a bulkhead and it’s nice to meet new people

Prowl and him still annoy the heck out of each other but bumblebee can keep quiet when prowl needs it and they become quite the chaotic duo (trio if you count ghostscream) some examples of this is

-they stole the Dinobots together bumblebee is much Better at keeping secrets than in canon

-bumblebee who just looks at the earth born bots as sparklings somehow manages to convince prowl to repair soundwave and soundwave in TFA joins the repair crew (because TFA could of done so much with this character!” ) with a lot of restrictions until soundwave learns to behave mind you

- they pick up animals from the street and hide them from the rest of the team taking care of them for like a month only other person who knew was soundwave because he was hiden in the same place as the animals

-they watch a lot of movies together whenever prowl isn’t watching a documentary

I had a weird tfa dream

Like it's about the cancelled predacon plot of season 4 of tfa and how Bumblebee became Bumble Prime

Okay the dream goes as, the first few hordes of Predacon were destroying cities left and right. Bumblebee was leading a few refugees to safety when suddenly, he lost his head (well not like going insane, or maybe he would) by a Predacon, but anyways his head is gone! Coincidentally, Rodimus Prime lost his body (not sure if it took place before or after Bumblebee lost his head) but anyways, Rodimus is just a head, the medics thought it would be a great idea to pop that head into Bumblebee's torso. They had to modify that little body of course.

After some time, Bumblebee did wake up, only to realise that it's not his own head right away. Rodimus' thoughts absolutely clash with Bumblebee's at some occasions. Yeah, Bee is not doing so well. Eventually, he modified his face to not look like Rodimus and continued his duties at the field.

Inspired by Phos from Land of the Lustrous. Such a beautiful and sad manga.

But I guess also inspired by @/starlight-artisticmoonfall 's Tfp Bumblebee headcanon. With the parts of his comrades being one with him. I read it before I head to sleep. Such an interesting and sad, but cool headcanon 👍

(I've only found one t-word fic for TFA and that is a damn crime, thus I made this. Blurr is totally a lee because I said so.)

"Okay, that's not fair!"

Bumblebee huffed looking up to see Blurr had already turned around and was waiting impatiently at the finished line.

"What? My speed?"

Blurr asked sarcastically, not really getting why the younger was so upset.

"You're tires! I don't have those and besides, we agreed. Only robot mode, no helpsies!"

Blurr blinked then lifted his leg up and looked at the tires attached to his heels. He rolled his eyes, placing them back on the ground with a scoff.

"I technically don't have to transform in order to use these, not in any sense. They are a part of my root form which I would argue makes them an exception to the rule, or is it just that you're tired of losing to me because your frame wasn't built with the same capacity as mine. Fast though you may be my models max speed is-"

Blurr paused his rant to rapidly spin his wheels, launching forward without much effort before jumping up onto one of the nearby crates, then looking back down at Bee.

"Self-explanatory."

He finished turning away and preparing to jump off the crate and rush back inside before the golden bot could drag him into another lap, only to feel a servo grip his ankle. He yelped and tripped his upper body leaning off the crate as he turned around to see Bee holding onto his leg just above where his tires were.

'Oh for-'

"Bumblebee, what-"

"Zippy, we're doing one more lap and these are not coming into play, got it!? I don't want to see them-..."

Blurr blinked as the shorter bot trailed off staring at his tires, Blurr began sitting back up hoping to get Bumblebee off his ankle but halted with a jolt when he felt a finger drag against his tires.

"Actually how do these things even spin, when I touch em' they don't budge but with you..?"

Blurr bit down a smile keeping his head ducked low and out of sight trying desperately to ignore the ticklish sensation running through his wheels. The last thing he wanted was Bee figuring out just how sensitive the area was, Longarm finding out had been humiliating enough.

Blurr tried to pull his leg away from Bee but yanking only wound up dragging the other with him. Blurr launched further off the edge of the crate with Bee being the only thing keeping him from falling off completely by this point.

'Scrap, this is worse…'

Bee yelled in surprise at the sudden pull before beginning to berate the other over the sudden movement.

"Hey, warn a guy next time! You almost took me down with-"

Bee squeezed the rubber amidst the rant and Blurr just couldn't help it. He jolted and an undignified squeal tore from his voice box.

Bumblebee blinked as Blurr slapped his servos over his mouth in horror, a look of utter terror on his face. Bumblebee looked confused and Blurr felt him climb up onto the crate never releasing his grip on Blurr's legs.

'Oh no…'

Bee straddled Blurred legs and rested his servos on top of his tires.

'Oh no no no no!'

A gentle squeeze came to the left tire and the reaction was immediate.

"AAAIIEEee!"

Bumblebee smirked and Blurr knew it was too late for him.

"Ticklish Zippy?"

That was the only warning Blurr received before Bee's fingers rapidly wiggled and scribbled across both his tires. Blurr almost screamed in response to the sensation, it wasn't quite at that volume but it was definitely loud. Loud enough that Blurr began to genuinely worry that the others would hear and walk in on this, and that thought was dreadful.

"GyyAAAAHH! N-Naaoho! Bumble- Bu- BeeEEEE! Puh- PleEEEASE!"

Blurr got cut off by a long wheeze as he felt Bee squeeze the warm rubber once more. Blurr pounced his fists against the crate in some futile attempt to get the sensations to stop, meanwhile his legs were firmly pinned down by Bumblebee's weight. Meaning Blurr was utterly trapped, and that made the feeling so much worse.

"Damn Zippy, you've got some pipes on ya'! Y'know you're a lot more fun when you like this, like, laughing instead of being a killjoy."

Blurr wanted to make a snippy remark he really did, but his tires were way too ticklish to allow it. Blurr tried pushing himself up onto the crate again but his body was still confused and weakened by his own laughter. Which made most of his pushes no more than a frantic shoves.

"Sh-shUUUHUT Ihihit! Y-yoOUU- NAAHOO! Stop ihitTT NAHahoow! I- I- I CAHAHAHAN'T!"

Blurr downright screamed when Bee's servos traveled inside of his tires, scratching and prodding at the rubber inside. That was definitely not the worse he'd felt but by the Allspark it was up there! Not knowing what else to do Blurr just frantically twisted his torso around observing his flushed face with servos as shrieking laughter poured out of him like a faucet.

Bumblebee let out an excited giggle (that did not give Blurr much hope in terms of mercy) and dug harder into the rubber, drawing out another high-pitched scream from the blue bot. An absolutely evil grin spread across his faceplates as he turned his head around to see Blurr.

"What's the matter Blurr, can't take a little bit of tickling? Imagine if this got out, the fastest bot on Cybertron can't handle it when his tires are messed with? Oh, you must be real fun during tire changes~"

Blurr couldn't respond through his tortured laughs but Bee heard the beginnings of a "Don't!" in there somewhere, and if Blurr's flushed face was anything to go by, the taunting was making it worse for him. So naturally Bee continued after a bit of brainstorming, and he came up with something down right evil.

"Oh my- Blurr I can only imagine how bad any of Bulkhead's brushes would be for you."

Blurr let out a flustered squeak, before a shrieky, giggly groan filled the air. Blurr gave up on fighting, hanging limp off the side of the crate servos covering his face so Bee couldn't see just how flustered he'd become.

Bumblebee snickered before continuing to brainstorm different ideas.

"Oh, and those feather dusters that humans use. Sponges, you'd really hate electric toothbrushes, they'd get all up in between your tire treads. Classic feathers are the same deal…Bristle brushes would be the absolute worst for you though."

Blurr grew more and more flustered at each tool listed. It really seemed like it couldn't get any worse, but then Bee slowed down. His fingers were still idly tracing over his tires which kept him giggling but now he could actually speak.

Blurr gasped and took in air desperately trying to calm his heated vents. A smile was still hopelessly stuck to his face which he hated, this whole situation was embracing beyond belief.

'At least we're alone out here. If the others saw this I would literally throw myself into the Pits.'

Bee snickered which made Blurr's head snap up quicker than it ever had before.

"I've really only touched your tires so far.."

The golden bot looked back at him with an evi gleam in his optics.

"How sensitive is the rest of ya'?"

Blurr's optics widened as a certain memory wormed its way back into his mind.

…

Longarms fingers dug mercilessly into Blurr's hips drawing out utterly tortured screams. Blurr shoved against the Prime's bulkier build to no avail, his smaller, speed focused model offered little in terms of strength.

No amount of him trying was getting Longarm to budge, forcing him to kick out helplessly. Arms wrapped around his torso, optics squeezed shut, (had he been organic Blurr definitely would've been in tears by now) Longarm merely chuckled above him.

"My, my agent Blurr. I never would've suspected you to be this sensitive, now how about we up the ante?"

Blurr was about to question how this could possibly get any worse before Longarm leaned down. He lifted up Blurr's torso and blew a long drawn out raspberry onto Blurr's waist, his vocalizer shorted out for a brief moment before returning as a long and tortured shriek of hysterical laughter.

…

Oh Pits no.

Blurr yanked his right pede out from under Bumblebee and promptly kicked him in the back. Bumblebee yelled out in pain falling forward off the crate whilst Blurr launched off it backwards. Faster than ever before Blurr raced back inside sooner than Bee could even pick himself up.

Bumblebee just looked back with a shocked look on his face…one that was quickly replaced by a devious grin. Oh, now that was tempting.

LITERALLY THO like i hate how tfa bumblebee is reduced to a “so random! 😝🤪” only silly idiot prankster kinda guy when like. He’s smart! He’s caring! Yes he can be silly and yes he can be a bit reckless but he loves his friends and he can figure out how to care for them (like where he and bulk are comforting sari 🥺) and also figure out the best strategy to defeat whatever villain of the week is there! TFA bee means so much to me and i am also so excited for earthspark. Continuities where bumblebee is not the kid appeal character my beloves

LICHERALLY !!!! Like I love Bumblebees silly fun nature thats why he's one of my favorites ever, BUT IT DOESNT MEAN he can't be more than that.

Tfa in particular bothers me bc like. It's my fav bumblebee bc he has more bite and spunk (due to being based more on hot shot), but then. They never. Truly take him as seriously as other characters (except maybe bulk but that's bc hes also not taken seriously,)

which is so absurd bc he has some Legit shit going on with him that should fuck him up!! His whole career, his dreams, got flushed down the toilet bc he was unfortunate to have an instructor that doesn't like him and doesn't give him a chance (except when he did 1 singular time and then he immediately sent him to space repair duty for doing the noble thing and taking the fall for bulkhead)

And he doesn't get over this. He is still depressed about it when he says to Longarm "at least one of us achieved their dreams" in like the saddest tone ever (I think it's literally the saddest line delivery bee gives in the entire show) and he talks abt how no one believed he would amount to anything in the trial of megs script reading.

I'd argue his general behavior reflects this too (though idk how intentional it was), bc hes always like attention seeking- approval seeking. He wants to appear to Earth like he's a hero so he can feel successful (and that still went down the drain bc the humans started hating the autobots later)

But do they ever take time to address this issue and sympathize with him? No <3 instead they act like bee has no issues at all, to the point it's like "wasp is suffering so much, bumblebee wtf is wrong with you. YOU CANNOT RELATE TO LOSING EVERYTHING you just can't. nothing bad has ever happened to you. Go play videogames you stupid motherfucker" not that wasp isn't suffering but cmon. don't act like bee didnt have his entire career fucked over like it's not a serious thing

Not to mention as you said he has multitudes to him, he's caring and compassionate! He's quick witted and has lots of skill! He's not just a bumbling fool- Sentinel is wrong about that! (His assessment of ppl is not rlly accurate at all btw, he called bulkhead "bulk and no brains" when that guy is literally the leading expert on space bridge tech)

I am rlly excited to see earthspark bee bc its like. I think he's going to have the same kind of wise-cracking spunk tfa bee has BUT he is in a mentor role now. So there's a good chance he won't be reduced to being a silly jokester, bc he has to have some seriousness to teach (and thus the writers will treat him more seriously) also there's already those earth bots that are probably going to fill up that kid appeal role anyway

tldr: I love tfa bee's personality but I think his writing is lacking bc it doesn't take him as seriously as other characters, and I hope earthspark bee takes what's good abt tfa bee but gets better treatment from the writers
