They are a little bit groomed by Silco to be extra antagonistic towards, well I feel like any Piltite Viktor brought home, but especially Jayce.

Vi and Cait do absolutely get together in this verse (RIP Silco's blood pressure I guess). I feel like if Mylo also got himself a Piltite alpha boyfriend Silco would be of the position that peace with Piltover was a mistake (clearly it was just an elaborate long-game by Piltover to steal his children from him). Vander's just happy his kids are happy and honestly probably thinks it's a good sign considering his children are very much approaching these relationships as equals to their partners (and therefore shows that at least in the younger generation Piltover is less and less seeing them as ""lessor"" than them and instead seeing them as equals).

(Mylo is either a beta or omega in this verse depending on what suits the immediate idea better and whether I've decided to just relent and go with the omegaverse worldbuilding that just doesn't have betas apart from their Yordles).

(Oh yeah it is a bit hard for him because while he hates HATES the fact that so many of his pups are ending up with Piltites he has to admit that they at least didn't half-ass it with the ones they picked - he has Piltover's Alpha Goldern Boy and the Kiramman Omega Heir as his kids partners. They are basically the most highly sought over members of their designation in Piltover and Silco's commoner Zaunite pups managed to beat out all of the Piltite suitors for them. He is a little smug. But only to like Piltites. Anyone in Zaun he's grumbly about it.)

So, considering what's going on with Riot right now, do you think Arcane Season 2 got caught up in all of this restructuring?

Yes and no. Arcane season 2 is part of the reason for the restructuring.

As I understand it, internally at Riot, after Arcane was a huge (and more importantly: prestigious!) success, the decision was made to basically hand the entirety of the game's lore and story over to the Entertainment division within Riot. These are the people in large part responsible for projects like Arcane, K/DA, Heartsteel, that animated series China got, all that sort of thing.

The writers at Riot were basically told to flat out stop producing new content and lore for the game - that's why there's BEEN no new story content for League for over a year - because everything was going to be consolidated under the Entertainment division from now on. This is why Riot started talking about "One Runeterra" and "Arcane is going to be canon" and so on.

The success of Arcane convinced executives that what League of Legends needs is a singular cohesive brand with its most successful public property leading the charge, Arcane is going to be the gateway drug, the hook on the end of the line that brings new players and new paying customers into the exciting world of the League of Legends multimedia IP universe!

Nevermind that Arcane's story and worldbuilding is fundamentally incompatible with >checks notes< the overwhelming majority of Runeterra as it exists and enormous compromises would have to be made to either the world of Runeterra or Arcane itself to make it work. Arcane is the big shiny prestigious mainstream Emmy-award winning project that every executive wants to put their name next to, and like companies Pivoting To Video in 2015 because Facebook showed them inflated viewership stats, Riot Games is Pivoting To Arcane. It's better than them pivoting to crypto and NFTs, at least, although I know for a fact that high ranking people at Riot tried to make that happen too.

Now, the primary cause for all of these games industry layoffs is that interest rates aren't zero anymore. Borrowing money isn't free, the curve of constant growth has ever so slightly slowed, taking on debt is becoming a little tiny bit more risky than it was previously, and corporations are responding to this with massive rounds of layoffs and constriction to show "financial responsibility" and prove to shareholders that they are prioritizing core growth strategies and blah blah blah etc. They're also trying to kneecap the growing labor movement in the games industry and exert downwards pressure on wages, but the interest rates seem to have been the main thing.

In Riot's particular case, a secondary reason is they want to pivot the focus of the company to support their One Runeterra pipe dream, so a lot of the people who got fired at Riot are writers, artists, creative leads and sometimes extremely senior and successful staff who are now surplus to requirements. This is also why Riot shut down Riot Forge in the same round of layoffs - can't have a bunch of talented indie devs going off making video games that don't adhere to the new One Runeterra policy. What if someone played Mageseeker and got confused how there can be mages all over Demacia but somehow there are no mages in Arcane's Piltover and Zaun. That's a plot hole! People write snarky articles about that sort of thing. It turns off new consumers! What if Cinema Sins makes a video making fun of it?!?

So yeah. A bunch of cocaine-addled fame hungry executive vultures at Riot are absolutely gagging on their own d*cks to put their name next to Arcane related projects, and since they were going to be screwing hundreds of people out of their careers, healthcare, and in some cases their fucking visa status anyway, it seems to have presented a nice opportunity to clear the board for their latest Visionary Scheme for the company IP.

That is as I understand the situation, anyway. I'm a bitter old man and most of what I hear is second hand and anonymous gossip through my social networks, take what I say with a grain of salt, but I've followed this company for (oh god) twelve years now and I have developed a tragically keen understanding of how its executive class operates.

I honestly think that Ekko's trauma is often overlooked or outright pushed aside and ignored by a large section of the Arcane fandom.

Now this does make sense to some degree, Ekko is a side character so it makes sense why he's not as discussed as the main characters of the show but it feels like even as a side character he is often cast aside.

It feels like everyone analyzes every other character thoroughly and for good reason, these are very multi-layered characters but it also feels like with Ekko they barely even give him a side glance and when they do talk about his hurt it seems like they only extend to Jinx. While Jinx is a very large piece of it (seriously they have a whole other thing going on) she definitely is not the only thing lingering on in his mind. I mean he saw his basically uncle get killed in front of him, he is the leader of a resistance group and he also basically lost his entire family in one night, like have you seen the bags under his eyes, that boy is stressed out but it feels like these aspects of his character are ignored by the community.

Honestly his treatment within the fandom mirrors what a lot of black people go through our trauma and hurt is brought up. It is either brushed aside or outright ignored with it often being countered with "that was a long time ago" and this is especially seen with little black girls and boys. The fandom analyzes almost everything within the show from full blown characters to little background details but yet Ekko is often left out of the equation in these discussions and it just makes me a little bit annoyed.

Ekko also suffers from what a lot of other black characters in media do which is the almost bad faith criticisms or misinterpreted thrown them. It feels like a lot of black characters are held up to a standard that no other character gets held too and where their actions are taken in the most negative light on purpose. I haven't seen this that much but I have seen it a handful of times, where people will villainize Ekko and say that he is "getting in the way" of Zaun's liberation which is wild because Ekko out of everyone in the show is the only person that positively effects Zaun and it's people. You even see this in shipping where Ekko is label an abuser or aggressive.

Overall I know this probably doesn't really matter and most of the fandom probably likes Ekko but I just wanted to vent a little bit 😭 and I just hope in S2 they flesh out his character and that the fandom starts to take more notice of him.

Simp Sevika Headcanons

It took a lot to stir the heart of Zaun's scary lady. Sevika wasn't known for letting herself slip into romantic endeavors, preferring to simply visit the brothel whenever she needed to blow off some steam and let out her frustrations.

However, she couldn't help but notice your pretty face once you started frequenting the Last Drop. You always sat alone at the bar, sipping your regular order before paying and leaving. In a place full of rugged and loud people, you stood out like a sore thumb, especially with your calm and gentle demeanor.

Sevika preferred watching you from afar, not knowing how to approach you properly. It wasn't until a drunk man sat next to you and started flirting that she decided to take action. At first, she perked up when she noticed his presence next to you and kept an eye on the situation while appearing uninterested and absorbed in her card game.

However, once she noticed the man getting handsy with you, trying to wind an arm around your shoulders, Sevika couldn't take it anymore. She promptly stomped towards where you stood and pushed the guy off of you, kicking him out of the bar when he refused to leave you alone.

Once the drunkard was dealt with, Sevika made her way back to you to make sure you were alright. When you thanked her with a bright smile, it was as if her heart stirred for the first time in years. She tried to keep her cool and made sure to tell you that it was no problem.

You insisted on buying her a drink as a thanks, and how could Sevika ever refuse someone so cute and pretty?

With this, the two of you began your friendship. But for the both of you, it quickly blossomed into something more. However, Sevika had no idea you felt the same, and so she spent her days feeling like a lovesick teenager all over again.

It is no lie that she is an incredibly charming woman, who oozes with charisma when she's interested in someone. But she has little to no experience when it comes to romantic relationships, although she tries her best (bless her little lovesick heart).

Sevika brings you flowers, invites you to her apartment (you were the first and only person to ever step foot in it) and cooks for you, she walks you home when it's late at night, pays compliments to your outfits, and so on.

Basically, she does literally everything except confessing her feelings for you.

She is unsure whether you see her actions towards you as mere friendliness (though let's be honest, no one looks at their friends the way Sevika looks at you. Hell, most people don't even look at their spouses like that) and she doesn't want to ruin what you have now.

Sevika is deeply unfamiliar with being vulnerable and putting her feelings into words. She is much more accustomed to showing her adoration through actions but quickly realizes she must tell you out loud lest she'll burst from all of these confusing feelings that are bubbling up inside of her (seriously, she's too old to be feeling all these 'butterflies in her stomach').

So, the next time you come over for dinner, she prepares her confession. But before that, she gets you a fresh bouquet of flowers and decorates the dining table in a manner that can't be seen as anything but romantic.

Once the two of you eat, she walks over to your side of the table and gets on her knees in front of you as you're sitting in the chair. She takes your hands in hers and stutters through her confession, avoiding your gaze the whole time.

You never thought that someone so gruff could be so cute. You could feel the apprehension and anxiety in the way Sevika talked, as if she expected you to reject her at any moment.

Once she admits her feelings, Sevika patiently waits for the teasing or the rejection, but it never comes. Instead, you cup her face and gently lean in to kiss her.

Sevika hums into the kiss, sighing happily when the two of you pull away. This is the happiest she's felt in years and realizes that sometimes it pays off to be vulnerable.

Oh well, you live and you learn, and Sevika is more than ready to do both as long as she has you by her side.

ALSO? i don't think sevika dates someone unless she's absolutely enamored with them and can't go on without them. so it's not like she's just dating a younger girl to date a younger girl. she's dating you cuz you're you.

i could definitely see her being more sensitive about it in a modern setting tho.

there's parts of your age gap that she finds really entertaining.

you get to introduce her to all kinds of media from your generation that she'd never heard of.

we (by 'we' i mean people 18-25ish) grew up with so much good young adult media! like imagine getting sevika to read the hunger games for the first time. she'd eat that shit up.

she'd love the 2010's cartoons you show her too, especially the dumb ass lighthearted ones-- regular show, bob's burgers, that kinda thing.

she has no patience for technology, so it's a relief that any time she has an issue with a device she can just pass it off to you to figure it out. because if it was up to her? she'd smash the thing and call it a day.

when you're together long enough, you guys can even joke about it with each other. she'll teasingly call you a gold digger, and in return, you'll call her a perv.

some people might not understand it, but that doesn't matter, because to you and sevika? your relationship is the only thing in the world that makes sense.

Forward but Never Forget - Zaun tidbit

It just occurred to me that a city built straight down into the earth will not have the aerial bird's eye view maps, but rather, cascading vertical maps, similar to the ones used in mines.

Which is a very fun concept to play around with, because in such narrow quarters, outside the confines of a traditionally planned urban grid, you'd have residential zones basically sitting on top of each other, and thus sharing resources like water and electricity from a single hub. It's easy to picture plenty of electricity meters being manipulated via circuits to supply multiple illegal lines, and water tanks with supply pipes getting stamped in incorrect sizes to ishare a larger amount than has been officially sanctioned.

It also means businesses would've expanded organically, like a cigarette vendor switching it up to sell bread and milk in his little commercial pocket, because he straddled the space between two residential blocs. Meanwhile in the backroom, his wife would be running an unlicensed daycare center.

It also means, similar to Kowloon's Walled City, maps in general would be useless because each time there's a change in structure, it would happen seemingly overnight. And so, you'd need your own mental grid to navigate your way through the dynamic landscape.

Caitlyn was the first person in years to show Vi kindness and care. She listened and stuck by her and took care of her after Vi was locked up for years and beat up by cops (i wonder what led her to be thrown in there?). Cait being a cop stopped being a point of contention once Vi recognized her naivety and genuineness.

The only way I can see Vi touching ‘class traitor’ in season one was the shimmer raid. Guess who the hell put those kids in there in the first place.

Critical thinking is very necessary for watching shows like Arcane

Caitlyn is trying to make Piltover and Zaun a better place. Is that not allowed? Am I missing something?

Caitlyn and Vi’s arcs have only just started. Season one is basically fully set up except for characters like silco and Jinx. This is far from the end.

Genuinely think Vander would appreciate Vi for being friends (using this term loosely because they are in love) with Caitlyn considering he was the one who was opposed to war and Vi wasn’t.

Silco should NOT be your idea of Undercity independence and respect. He oppressed the Undercity the same way the Council and the Enforcers did. He helped no one but himself, his team (barely) and Jinx.

You’re allowed to like and dislike any character you want but pretending like Silco is better for the Undercity than others is just so ridiculous to me. Everyone is of course completely allowed to like Silco, but we can’t pretend like he’s this stand up guy. If you have to pretend like he was, maybe you don’t like him as much as you think.

“Because Cait’s pretty” is also incredibly incorrect. Go check point #14.

Vi never stopped loving and caring for Powder. Powder’s mental health issues were amplified and utilized by Silco because he couldn’t even heal himself.

If all of your opinions of Caitlyn and Vi start and end with “cops suck” and “class traitor” then you genuinely don’t respect Arcane as a show enough to show you nuance.

The misinterpretation of characters is just so … it’s like you go out of your way to love and/or hate characters no matter how much they show you who you are.

Your closed mindedness is clouding your judgement and making you out to seem like you don’t actually want the Undercity’s triumph, you want Silco and Jinx’s, even if it means ruining the Undercity. And that would be fine because father/daughter evil duo but trying to say you’re all for this duo because you want what’s better for the Undercity when they continue to hurt it is simply not correct and very harmful (to fictional characters in a fictional universe 😭)

Only being able to understand how Silco and Jinx were oppressed and therefore should be able to not just destroy Piltover but also Zaun is not the eat you think it is

Why is Viktor never called a class traitor? I think he's great (I also think Silco and Jinx are wonderfully written) but we hardly saw him in the Undercity/ interact with people from the Undercity plus he killed someone (Sky) from there (accidentally)

EDIT TO ADD ANOTHER POINT: Caitlyn has shown little to NO malicious intent and has no real negative impacts other than Jinx’s attachment issues and insecurities being amplified by her mere existence. Again, this is her story and development. Throughout the season she is exposed to reality and recognizes her and her peers/ families wrongs. I have no idea what you want from this character. Should Piltover just be gotten rid of in the story? Then what? Should Caitlyn have just never gotten involved and continued to embrace her privilege? Should she have left Vi in prison and stay ignorant?

You were a prodigy at Piltover academy, fascinated in everything technological. You worked hard, sending in letter after letter begging to enroll regardless of your age. After your letter was read by Heimerdinger himself and you peaked his eye, you were finally allowed in.

Your enrollment was faced with a lot of skepticism by Heimerdinger's assistant, Viktor. He was warry about you and how your age would affect your ability to learn, but respected Heimerdinger's opinion on you. Either way, he was too wrapped up in Hextech to even involve himself in the happenings of a random student.

Jayce, however, was super interested in you. It didn't take long for rumors about you to travel through the academy, eventually leading back to him. Jayce often personally left comments on your assignments, projects, and even your inventions. Your knowledge was very evident in each of your worlds, clear passion seeping into everything you created. Eventually, Jayce met you in person, having a long and eventful conversation about your dreams and goals. From that moment forward, Jayce was your best friend.

After a few conversations with you, Jayce wanted you to become his and Viktor's student. He knew you could greatly benefit from being able to learn from them, and a small part of him was reminded of his younger self. You were wide eyed and constantly happy, he wanted to foster an environment where that could grow, not be stomped out.

While Viktor was a little apprehensive, he agreed with Jayce. Viktor was less hands on with you when it came to teaching, wanting to know what you could do on your own. Honestly, he was impressed. You were extremely smart for your age, driven by your passion for technology and your want to help people. Viktor wasn't fully convinced of you until you shared with him your dream of unifying Piltover and Zaun, wanting to bring them together rather than further separating them. He could see the fire in your eyes, and he was hooked.

Jayce and Viktor both want to bring you to your full potential. What that sometimes means is working you to your bones. Both of them are workaholics, so they aren't that good knowing when to take a break. When they eventually to realize that you're tired and need a break, they'll basically demand you to stop working. They don't like using 'teacher' card against you, but they will if you don't listen.

When Viktor's condition gets worse, he takes comfort in you. He's views you as his legacy, the last think left of him when he eventually passes. He continues to teach you, even when he's hacking up a lung and loosing balance. Jayce will have to talk sense into him, but it never sinks in.

When Jayce joins the council, you two eventually stop spending as much time together. It's not something he enjoys, but he has bigger responsibilities now. In his head, he's doing this all for you. Jayce likes to spoil you and now that he has the ability to, he does it any chance he gets. Though, this can also be misconstrued as a flimsy attempt to make up for not seeing you in days.

I'm so glad there are people discussing the politics of Arcane! It's something that bothered me too while watching. One thing I wish they had portrayed more fairly was Silco's time in power. I mean, we only get one montage of the more advanced industrialized Zaun with clean air stations, and only one mention of "Silco the Industrialist." Meanwhile his Shimmer business got episode upon episode of "look at how evil this is".

It even seems to be common for watchers to think he was ONLY doing Shimmer. So many people didn't pick up on the industrialization of Zaun, the cars and new machinery, nor the clean air stations. To the point that it's common to say he only destroyed Zaun and did nothing to improve it. I'm just like.... why did the show not put in more effort to portray both sides of the coin of Silco's operations, especially when his faction is the ONLY one specifically fighting for independence from their oppressors. Just seems like an odd choice.

I feel like Silco has more implied time in the way he talks to the chembarons. He makes it quite clear that HE brought them up here, and they're now corrupted by their time in the sun. And it's set in a gorgeous cultivair... So I think Silco making the Lanes wealthy is really undeniable. It's just that making crimelords wealthy is dodgy in itself, even if we assume that everyone got richer and better.

But honestly I want to say... People have a tendency of forgetting that Silco is a private individual. It's not his job to make people richer or to modernise the Undercity. It's not his responsibility to keep the streets clean or control crime.

That's the Council's.

The scene where Jayce looks in wonder/disgust at all the children in the shimmer factory always strikes me as a great moment for him. I've seen a lot of bad takes on it, making Silco EVIL for having kids working there and Jayce GOOD for feeling bad. Like, flashnews, Silco is providing them with stable income! Kids in his factories don't need to steal or prostitute themselves.

Wouldn't it be great though if they didn't have to work at all? No shit. Shall we ask the Council why there is ZERO social wellfare programs for such poor kids in Zaun?

Well, probably because when they don't work at Silco's, they work at Piltovan factories and mines for scraps. Because Piltovans don't have a normal relationship with Zaunites.

Silco is basically the head of a mafia, and he operates in a power vacuum left by Piltover. If the council took an active interest in the well being of Zaunites, if they weren't starved and beaten and killed point blank for wanting rights, there would be no need for Silco's dream, and no show.

I think even if the show made a greater effort to portray both sides, people would still vilify Silco, because "drugs" have such a demonic reputation. What bums me out more is that they made no effort to make separate chemicals, and ended up making shimmer into the philosopher's stone. WHY wouldn't you make shimmer??? It powers crazy cool engines, saves people from imminent death with no visible bad side effects, gives people a strength boost, and is a cool party drug?

Those are all things we're shown as well. It's so weird.

It really bums me out how Ekko talks about the horrors of shimmer, what it did to Zaun as it flooded the streets, and yet what we're shown is a camp of a dozen people, and a couple homeless people begging in the street when Heimer visits. As well as a violent fight.

Like... Yes? Zaun apparently has been the pits for generations. Is that truly the worst you have? A few addicts and 1 homeless beggar? As well as being "told" it affected families?

I totally get this is horrible, but we are shown a lot more screen time of shimmer being super OP when well used, and used for years without bad effects at that, via Sevika. It makes the criticism sort of moot, especially after one drop of shimmer saves Vi from a horrendous gut wound.

I highly doubt Silco invented poverty or addiction. The show makes it seem like those are his responsibility in equal measure because he commercializes shimmer (which is true) and because they need him as a villain. If shimmer is too good, then he'll become a straight up hero, instead of an anti-hero in villain clothing.

The show just wouldn't commit to have the third act fully go with 'the council are the villains, Silco is in the right', and I genuinely think it's because Riot is an American Company owned by a Chinese one, and that nobody up the foodchain really wants a story in which an underdog character is morally justified in exacting violence on the powerful.

It's my tinfoil hat theory. The hopeful tinfoil says that the writers did their best to give us that story but couldn't realise it fully. The dark tinfoil says that everyone involved is too far deep the neoliberal hellhole to escape centrist narratives (in which Ekko and his useless, powerless artsy rebels are the true heroes).

I'm happy to take the show as it is though, and fill in the blanks my way. I don't have to bend the canon's arm too much to tell a politically charged story that fits my desires!

In your family au was viktor born with his disability (his leg)? If so did it cause any complications with the birth?. If not then what caused it? Also how do you think vander and silco reacted when they realised?

So it's a slightly difficult question to answer because there isn't really one thing you can pin it on.

Yes, Viktor's leg was somewhat damaged in birth but that damage was made worse because of low bone density and being on the borderline of premature. And at least the low bone density is a result of the toxins that he was exposed to by essence of being inside someone living in one of the lowest parts of Zaun (the coming early thing could also be a result of the toxins or it could just be a genetic thing that would of happened to matter what lifestyle and medical care Silco had).

Another element of it is the lack of medical care available. Both in terms of the injury being able to be avoided, it being able to be identified earlier and possible treatments available.

You have to remember that eventually Viktor has spinal issues as well (also the cough-of-death but I think that one can be separated for this purpose). And that at least has nothing to do with his birth and just probably the result of the underlying condition (that I do not have enough information to even hazard a guess at). So even if there hadn't been the injury at birth there is still the real possibility he would have developed the need for a knee/leg-brace (and cane followed by crutch) just because whatever that underlying condition is it clearly is degenerative generally.

I rambled a little about Vander and Silco's reaction to it over here. But its also a bit of a complicated one. Obviously they are mad at Piltover about it - the toxins they are living in and lack of medical something they can squarely pin as Piltover's fault. But they don't really know what's causing it or how it's going to progress. So it's worrying (they don't know if its the first sign of something that will kill their son young) but they don't really have a choice but to take it a day at a time and manage it as it changes over time.

Are there any champions from Piltover/Zaun or beyond, who didn't show up in s1 of Arcane, who you'd like to see in s2? Both from a “this character would work really well with the story” perspective, and a “I just really like this champion” perspective.

Mm... I'm really wary about introducing more characters, honestly. Arcane's first season was already absolutely crammed to the gills with characters and one of my criticisms of Season 1 is that while everything that was in it was very very good, it was also so incredibly dense that the audience barely has time to breathe.

It's the kind of delicate balance where it feels like they just barely had the time and space to tell the stories of the main ensemble, and introducing more champions into that mix might make it all tip over.

That said, they do have the advantage that all the introductions and worldbuilding have basically been done now, and there's probably room to introduce one or two more characters to shake things up.

Instinctively I want to say Camille, except it makes no bloody sense why she'd only turn up in Season 2 and have been a complete non-presence in Season 1. Like, there was some shit happening that she should have been involved with in the first season.

Renata Glasc is an option. Zaun is going to have a big power vacuum and she would slot in very nicely as the new major power in the undercity. On the other hand, she's also perhaps a little bit too much like Silco 2.0, being partly based on him in the first place, and I think there's a solid argument for bringing the chembarons from season 1 back to fight with each other instead. Especially since one of them has a literal death vendetta against Jayce now.

Then there's Orianna, who in this canon seems to be Singed's... daughter? Some kind of family member? If all of Singed's research in the first season was about trying to find a way to save her life or bring her back to life, then she'd be a natural character to use to expand on Singed as a character in season 2. I think she'd have to be substantially redesigned, though - "music box ballerina" would be a weird thing for Singed to want to build her into.

Seraphine and Zeri are non-starters, I think, primarily because they are both mages, which would make absolutely no sense in the Arcane universe. Like, it is kind of important to the plot of Arcane that mages are essentially as rare as cryptids in this world. Same reason I don't think they'd introduce something like Janna either. She's a literal demigod, it would raise too many unanswerable questions.

There's no reason to bring in Ezreal, Zac, or Dr. Mundo, but Urgot is... not out of the question. He's the kind of relentlessly dogmatic, bloodthirsty cult leader that would make sense as a figure in the chaos and violence of the war that's likely to erupt. Twitch could also cameo, I suppose, but only as a cameo, I don't think it makes sense to make him a central character.

Outside of Piltover and Zaun, I'd say the main champions we are likely to encounter would be Swain or Darius (Darius specifically was most likely teased by Ambessa), and if Darius shows up there's a greater than average chance he'll have Draven with him. It's not impossible that Samira could show up for a bit of a cameo, as some kind of Noxian bounty hunter getting in the way of things. Katarina and Talon are... not impossible, I suppose, Noxus is probably going to want to assassinate someone, but I also doubt they'd introduce a champion character to fill that role in the narrative. It'd be wasteful.

If Noxus is making moves, of course, there's a non-zero chance that there'll be like a Demacian diplomat at some meeting, which... makes it possible that Xin Zhao or Garen might cameo, and if Noxus wants Piltover's technology to prosecute their war in Ionia, hey, maybe there will be Ionian diplomat characters showing up to plead their case, which opens the distant possibility of someone like Irelia or Shen showing up.

I very, very much doubt it though.

Most likely new champions: Darius, Swain, Orianna, and Warwick (Warwick being Vander)

Not impossible: Twitch, Urgot, Renata Glasc, Draven, Camille

Extremely small Easter Egg cameos at best: Xin Zhao/Garen/Jarvan, Irelia/Shen/Karma, Azir (Shurima is Piltover's southern neighbor), Miss Fortune/Gangplank (Piltover controls the sea gate and trade between two oceans), Ziggs (Heimerdinger's best friend), Ryze (the science boys are starting to fuck with World Rune-level magic hazards), Vel'koz (might show up in a Void vision inside the Hexcore or something).

You are most likely the oldest of Vander's adopted children, being 18 years old.

As a result Vander may trust you with riskier jobs to get by in Zaun.

You are seen as an older sibling to Vi, Powder, Mylo, and Claggor.

Yet even though you're the oldest that does not mean Vander doesn't worry about you.

Vander appears to be a decent father to all of his children.

You end up helping a lot when it comes to wounds or watching after them.

If anything sometimes you take on a secondary parenting role while Vander is busy.

This is your family, ever since the Civil War you have considered Zaun your home.

It's your job to mend wounds, settle arguments, and keep your family safe.

In a way you do love Vander.

So he isn't entirely forcing you to be his child for the most part.

He's your father, has been since he found you.

In return you do what jobs you can in order to have money to spend.

In this concept I'm going to primarily explain how this family would be as yanderes.

Vander is the typical overprotective father of the group.

He'd rather you stayed in sight yet sometimes relies on you to do bigger jobs the kids can't do.

He gives you some freedoms, but they can easily be taken if you get yourself hurt or have a falling out.

The kids are primarily emotionally manipulative and clingy siblings.

Vi is protective of her family, including you

Powder is always asking to help you on jobs but you decline.

Mylo often complains that Vander gives you better jobs yet really is just worried.

Claggor is also one to be protective of you and the others, yet you reassure him you're fine.

Honestly, there's no real yandere signs until something happens.

The kids ultimately listen to Vander.

If Vander enforces a rule, they'll probably go along with it.

Especially if we assume they're just as bad as Vander.

Things would turn sour if there was conflict between you and Vander.

Maybe you got hurt and never told him, maybe you just disobeyed orders.

When Vander realizes his eldest kid is being too reckless he knows he has to do something.

Vander would be the platonic yandere father to ground you to one spot so he can keep an eye on you.

He doesn't want to lose you to death or you leaving on your own.

Even if you're an adult... he doesn't want you to leave his family.

Plus... the kids don't want that either, yeah?

If you're "grounded" by Vander, the kids often visit you.

They continue to do jobs even if you're forced to stay at Vander's bar.

Even though you now see this place as a prison... the kids do make you smile a bit.

They love you but don't want to go against Vander's orders.

Plus... they don't want you to leave them either.

Even if you thought of escaping, you may be guilt-tripped into staying.

Especially by Powder... you really don't want to leave any of them.

Yet Vander keeping you locked away makes you antsy.

Even when he pulls you aside to hold you or speak with you, you are distant.

Your love towards your family wanes the moment your freedoms are restricted.

Being stuck in Zaun is a cage enough... now you're stuck in a bar by your family.

You try to distract yourself from your isolation by interacting with family.

You hug the kids and Vander... you tinker to occupy yourself...

But it's all only temporary relief.

At some point, you'll find time to run off.

Yet Vander will know and track you down himself if he has to.

Who knows, maybe he'll even ask Vi to help him.

He keeps you hidden away for a reason.

If he has to drag you back and chain your ankle to your bed... then maybe that will get the point across!

Mylo is certainly the one to throw a fit at you for leaving while Claggor just appears hurt.

Vi feels bad as she understands you want freedom.

Yet Powder simply clings onto you and doesn't let go once you're brought back.

Vander can't have you being reckless... he plans on keeping his family safe....

He'll sacrifice everything if it means keeping you and the kids out of harm... even your freedom.

Plus... you being around more often makes the kids happier, right?

If you ever join her in combat, she is so dazzled with the way your body moves and the strength it possesses, it just makes her fall in love all over again. She feeds into your love for food by taking you to try all different kinds of food stalls around the Undercity and even steals some fancy cakes from some Topside bakeries. Anything to keep her little trinket happy and strong.

CAITLYN is a sweetheart who loves to spoil you with the best and fanciest food you could ever imagine. She'd hire a personal chef for you if you'd let her and always makes sure to bring you pastries from your favorite bakery on her way home from work. She'd love to have you join her for some training and target shooting if you're up for it! She tries to hide it but Caitlyn gets very flustered whenever you showcase your strength, there's just something about it that makes her into a blushing and stuttering mess. It's adorable just how enamored with you she is.

Oh man, you have no idea how much EKKO adores you, do you? He loves going on missions with you and running errands for the Firelights because this way it's easier to keep an eye on you. However, it does make him anxious at the same time. He knows you can take care of yourself but he can't help but worry for your safety. Lord knows Little Man needs his fuel with all the running around he does so one of his favorite ways to relax is by cooking with you. Although you two are more than likely to either have a food fight or start making out in the middle of it, so going to Jericho's is usually just the best decision and you two make a nice little outing of it!

SILCO is a man whose work is a priority and if he deems your strength an advantage to the cause, he will try to offer you a job in helping him gain Zaun's independence. He will understand if you refuse but it would be a huge benefit in the way he views you. Silco also likes to spoil you with good food, only the best for his dearest. He loves to take you on lavish and romantic dates whenever he has time and loves to reward you with your favorite type of cake whenever you are of help to him.

Like Vi, SEVIKA is very happy to be in a relationship with someone so alike herself. She loves to go to the gym with you and gladly lets her eyes wander over your flushed and sweaty form. She loves to spar with you because it also lets her show off her strength and Sevika is well aware of how much you like it when she does that. Sweaty and breathless, the two of you then head home and get some takeout food for dinner. Later the two of you enjoy your meals, stealing bites from each others containers and giggling on the couch while sharing giddy kisses.

VIKTOR is very taken aback by your strength after an incident where the two of you were walking home and he slipped on some ice since it was the middle of winter. He already closed his eyes and prepared for impact when he felt someone's arms taking a hold of his waist and lifting him up. Upon realizing that it was you who held him, his face turned red as he mumbled out a ''thank you''. Viktor has to admit that being in your warm and strong embrace felt pretty nice. His eating habits actually improved thanks to you insisting that the two of you have your meals together. He loves seeing your face light up when you're eating and he loves sharing all his meals with the love of his life.
