“C’mon, It doesn’t even hurt that bad. Just one time, please? It’ll be so cute, I promise.” Dina’s voice begged as you stood idly by the door, shying away from the idea of the girl getting anywhere near you with a needle. It had been a week since she’d found the kit, tucked comfortably under a bed in an old apartment the two of you had scouted. Hence it had also been a week since you’d gotten any peace and quiet about the situation. She’d convinced almost everyone to get a piercing (or two in Ellie’s case) and you were the last of her victims, all she had to do was convince you. 

Dina already had the kit out on her desk, needles, and jewelry packaged up in plastic awaiting to be of use. Her hands glided over the different piercing jewelry, moving them to be in piles of likeness. “I think you’d look really nice with a nose piercing! Oh, or maybe a tongue piercing!” She gushed, eyes lingering on your face as she debated more ways to get you on board. 

“I don’t know, Dina. I’m not sure if I want to have metal in my face, at least right now. You know how Joel is, he’s still upset about Ellie’s.. what did you call them?” You paused, looking over to the girl as you shifted from foot to foot.

She smiled, shrugging. “Snake bites, and who cares? It’s your body, but also you don’t have to get one on your face. There are also body piercings.” She explained, grabbing a folded paper from the top of the box, and unfolding it to display a dozen small diagrams of different body piercing placements. “See? You could totally get a navel piercing or something, Joel would never know.” 

“Navel piercing? My belly button?” You asked, lifting your shirt gingerly to glance at the thing before looking back over to Dina. As much as you didn’t want to get in trouble with Joel because you already knew he would find out off the bat due to Dina’s rambling, it peaked your attention, to say the least. 

Dina nodded gingerly, moving to pick up the jewelry options for the navel, whilst there weren't many- and most weren’t meant to be worn until healed, she displayed the options before you on the surface of her desk. “It would look really cute, I mean look at these options. Butterfly, heart-shaped, pink di-,” She paused, hand lingering over the last one as she pushed it towards you. 

As you picked it up you realized why she had reacted in such a way. It was a pink dinosaur on a plastic piercing. It aroused a giggle to fall from your lips, thinking of the people who would’ve worn something like this in the old world. “This is so fucking cute, Ellie would love it.” You stated, turning it in your fingers as you fought internally over whether to trust Dina with a needle or pass up the opportunity to surprise Ellie with something so comically small (but you knew she’d love.) 

“Soooo?” She drew out, hands clasped together in a pleading manner over her chest. “Is this a yes?” 

Why the fuck not? 

“Yes, okay. I’ll do it.” You agreed, shrugging off your jacket. “Don’t fuck it up though, okay?” 

“Sir yes sir.”

God, piercings were a pain in your ass. It had stayed sore for the first couple of days and now, it had calmed down enough to show to your girl- but she’d been called early that morning for a double on patrol and as much as you hated the fact, it gave you a reasonable amount of time to get ready to see her when she came home. 

“Fuck, how did they even use these?” You cursed, battling with the curling wand you held like a weapon. It had already given you a couple of mild burns before you called it quits, slamming it down on the counter angrily as you peered in the mirror. You’d somehow managed to curl most of it before giving up ultimately. At least it looked presentable, right?  

You wandered through the house, touching up tiny details of cleaning you’d missed. If anyone saw you right now, you’d look absolutely insane. Dressed in the slip Ellie loved so much, hair curled, hell you were even wearing a little makeup. In the apocalypse nonetheless, you were a crazy person, no fighting the label now as you wasted what some outside of Jackson would consider ‘valuable resources’ on your menial attempt at surprising your girlfriend. 

The sound of the doorknob caught your attention, shocking you into movement as you took your place on the arm of the couch- leaning against it so you’d be the first thing she’d see when she came in. Your heart began to pick up the pace, nervous with anticipation. What if she didn’t like it? What if she was upset that you didn’t tell her? 

“Babe?” Ellie called out, turning to close and lock the door as she came in just missing the sight of you by a couple seconds. 

You stifled a nervous giggle, quietly responding. “Over here, honey.” 

The woman turned on her heel, mouth already uptick in a small smile before she realized just what she was looking at. She halted in awe, taking in the sight of you. It was always so flattering when Ellie noticed the little things, like how the slip draped over your frame just right or how you’d used the tinted chapstick to give your lips a rosy hue. That’s how she showed she cared, by noticing the little details that perhaps even you didn’t realize. 

“Oh, my god.” She breathed, dropping her bag on the floor next to the door before moving into the living room gingerly. “What’s the occasion, babe?” It wasn’t your anniversary or her birthday, so her mind was spinning with ways to account for the absolutely delicious sight of you. 

You shrugged, “Oh nothing, just wanted to surprise you.” Lying directly through your teeth you checked the first box off of your list, heading directly for the second. Distract and seduce, easy enough, right? 

Ellie took half a second to come inches before you, hands automatically gravitating towards your waist, feeling the soft silk under her calloused hands. She sighed in delight, eyes skimming down your body before she landed in a tiny bulge pressing the fabric forward. That was definitely not there before, right? She knew your body, every curve and ridge from years of exploration and this was definitely new. “What’s this?” She asked, tilting her head in confusion as she pulled at the slip gently, coaxing it up towards your thighs. 

You giggled, pulling your lip between your teeth as you nodded at her to continue searching. You felt beyond giddy, anticipating that little face she made when she got excited. You felt like a little kid again, sharing a secret with a friend. 

She got the fabric bunched in her hands, finally pulling it over your navel before she gasped- her mouth falling into an ‘o’ shape as she gawked at the tiny piece of jewelry in your tummy. “Oh my god! No way!” She choked out, a hand immediately going to toy with it before she halted her actions- remembering Dina’s incredibly strict set of rules about piercings. “It's so cute, why didn’t you tell me?” 

“And ruin the surprise? No way!” You smiled, eyes grazing over her blushed cheeks as she kept staring at the jewelry in awe. God, you loved her. “Seeing you all surprised was so worth it.” 

“You’re such a dream.” Ellie sighed, letting the slip fall back down to its original length, dipping down to press a gentle kiss to your lips. She absolutely couldn't imagine a better surprise, though at this second she was thinking of a few surprises she could give you- looking so delectable she couldn’t help herself, deepening the kiss as you felt the balls of her piercing press into the warm skin of your bottom lip. “Let me show you how much I love it.”

daisy’s notes: this is gendered purely because i almost cried while eating dinner bc it was so good. im not even a huge crier. it was just so good :(

Chan was fairly used to the way your emotions fluctuated during your monthly cycle. The part he could never fully get used to was the sight of you crying over... well, the most random things. Your emotions weren’t always “sobs over everything” like you had initially made it out to be, but...

“Oh... Honey, you’re crying again.” He reached out, wiping away your tears. “Is it that good?”

He’d brought you takeout when you asked him to since you’d been craving something from Jun’s restaurant, and you’d warned him that you weren’t going to wait for him to get back from the bathroom (something he was fine with: he knew you hadn’t eaten since lunch and likely needed to take more pain medicine soon). So he walked back in and immediately saw you curled up on the couch with your food in your hand, already tearing up.

You nodded. “Yeah... It’s really, really good, Channie.”

The earnest sound in your voice nearly made him laugh--god, he adored you. He’d seen you cry over a good chocolate bar while on your period and had to keep himself from laughing as he consoled you. His laughter was never coming from a place of mockery, but always endearment. Recounting the stories to Seungkwan and Vernon once made him realize it, before he immediately realized that it was something you might not want out there.

But he had laughed, and came back down with a “God, I love her,” that made him realize just how much of his heart you’d stolen. He immediately apologized and asked for them to not let it slide that he, y’know, slipped up and mentioned you crying over a chocolate bar (or a video of ducklings you’d found) until he knew you’d be fine with that sort of thing.

(Thankfully, you were: you told him you made fun of yourself sometimes for how sensitive you were. You didn’t care if he shared the stories as long as he wasn’t being mean about it.)

“I’m glad you’re enjoying it,” he said, getting out his own meal.

“Jun drew on the container again,” you said a moment later. You pulled the styrofoam down so it covered your food, revealing where he’d drawn a little stick figure kitten and a few flowers--alongside a little message saying ‘hi!’ to you. “It was also really cute--” You sniffled. “We should go see him next time.”

Oh boy.

“Like--he doesn’t have to draw on the container but he always does it for us--” You sniffled again, and Chan could see tears prickling at the corners of your eyes. “You have really sweet friends, Channie--”

And then you were already crying, babbling about how much you appreciated his friends and how they were always so nice to you. You stopped in at a coffee place the other day and Joshua happened to be there, and he offered to buy your drink and chat for a few minutes. And then there was the time Seungkwan brought medicine to both your apartment and his when the two of you were sick, taking a minute to console you since you were upset that you couldn’t make the journey to try and take care of Chan yourself...

Chan ended up laughing at how genuine you were, even when you were crying. He reached out, gently pulling you forward so that he could wipe your tears away again. “God, I love you so much...”

You pulled back, staring at Chan for a moment. “You what?”

Oh. Right. He’d never said it to you yet. Not like that, at least: his “love you”s were always so casual and never felt so committed as this one did.

He smiled nervously. “I love you? You don’t have to say it if you don’t want to, but I really, really love you, and...” He trailed off, unsure of where he was going. “And I think you’re cute even when you’re crying over how nice my friends are. Or good food, or the chocolate bar, or the ducklings--”

You sniffled again.

“Nononono!” He reached out, “Baby, it’s okay, you don’t have to say it if you aren’t ready--It just slipped out and I didn’t want to take it back--”

“I love you, too, you big dork,” you wiped at your own eyes after pushing his hands away. “God, I’m a mess today, aren’t I?”

“But you’re my mess,” he teased, “so I’ll take care of you. We can find a place that delivers dessert--or I can go out and get it!” He scooted closer to you. “Just let me take care of you and you can cry if you need to,” he chuckled. “Okay?”

You shifted so that your shoulder pressed against his. “Okay,” you said after a moment, a little hesitant. “I love you, Chan,” you said again, leaning in to brush your lips against his cheek. “Thank you for taking care of me.”

If you’d let him, he’d take care of you for as long as he lived. He snuggled in, already starting to talk about how his day had gone, about a dog he had seen on his walk home while the two of you grew more comfortable. It might not be easy for you to go through things like this so regularly, but Chan would be there to dry your tears whenever you needed him to.

Ok I post about Faren’s information already. And this post I’ll mention about one of his friends, Start with no.1 Adrian Adonis, a good friend/ big brother whose known him since they both was YoungLion and before go to WWF

My lovely brothers, Keith Adonis Franke a.k.a Adrian Adonis. He’s one of Raymond and my close friends since before we go to WWF, but reason why I still close with him because we are all obsessed with “Biker lifestyle”/ very long-winded, never stop talking😎 (different from Raymond whose more polite and taciturn / we love dressing as biker but Adonis’ style is better than me lol he spend so much money for this!

Adonis is older than me 7 years, chubby but good-looking/ nice hairstyle/ sassy man and big-mouth…and seems he doesn’t care about his weight that much. In the past we often go everywhere by our big bike/ ride in the same car, but when we both are in WWF we have different role, Adonis is heel but I’m babyface, we live in different locker room/ everybody has his own friends whose have the same role& same personalities and similar in age.. now we shouldn’t acting like close friend when go outside.

Adonis is funny person/ tough and good worker for someone…and sometimes he’s sassy man and like to act cocky for someone too, and one of these people are Lanny Poffo, one of my the first friends in WWF and Danny Spivey, one of dumbass Mike’s close friend.

I don’t know it can calls “luckily” or not that I’m one of persons whose don’t have problem with him.. we don’t have match to fight and eventhough we have similar style (or gimmick) that about biker, but we never have any problem about comparing who is better or who should be owner of biker gimmick, because we think we have many difference in their own way.

The fact that we have different role, we must act in different personality traits sometimes, and because we’re famous wrestlers to some extent , when we go outside we often see some fangirls excited to us and stop to say hi😅

Babyface like me must wave and say hi back to her even though that time I’m in a bad mood/ tired/ hungry or bored😐

But for Adonis when he notices some fangirl say hi,

He just act cold and said “get back in da house! ” . that’s why sometimes I jealous some heel wrestlers that can be honest with their feelings🫠 but at the same time I’m not ready to have heel role too, I can’t😖

Look at this👇🏻. It’s funny that we both dye our hair to blonde following some “backstage person” ‘s advice (Vince? Pat Patterson? or some bookers? I’m not sure who the hell is owner of these idea)

(Umm🫤idk I can call it’s just “advice” or not !?… I think I should use this word instead, “wanting” 🤔 I mean.. if some wrestlers don’t abide by the plans of boss’ idea , We can‘t know about our fate (wrestling role) in the future. They make you shine but they can ruined you also. Me/ Adonis and Dino Bravo are one of the people who agreed to dye our hair to blonde following their advise inevitably

Adonis must dye his hair bc he has gay gimmick of flower shop. Man.. he gain so much weight! Nobody can stop him! Ok I know that this guy is reckless, my I just can’t believe he can be reckless in this way too! 💀

I must dye my hair bc some backstage guy told me to “being more American”. Everyone knew I was the son of famous Hawaiian wrestlers “Ailani Kamealoha”, I have brown hair like my dad , but someone tried to change my identity, make wrestling fans forget everything whose son I am and where did I come from. Now I have become an American biker from Texas USA not Honolulu..I only talk about the biker lifestyle, dressing fashionably, Do not mention anything related to Hawaii or mention to my father who was a Hawaiian warrior.

Moreover, sometimes I have to act flirty, even though in fact I’m like my dad that clumsy and not good at flirting at all , I am not allowed to say that I have 3 children too🤥

Ok, back to Adonis. I want to share one of He has ever buy Pepsi for me during we are fixing a big bike(he often go out and back with some snacks).. but that time I keep that Pepsi can in my bag before bring it to hometown in Texas together and forget it in my house, and I wasn’t go back to my house for a few year after that. And not many months later, Adonis left WWF and goes to AWA and I’ve never saw him again.

Believe or not.. until this day in 2024 I still keep that can in my shelf that full of 80-90s stuffs. Seiji, my son whose doesn’t know anything often ask me to throw it in garbage because it’s expire food but I stop him😑

ok I accept the truth that I have some “old man habits” whose like to collect little things not only about biker. But I can’t help it! 🤷🏻

Stories between me and Adonis are just a short part of my whole career story, he passed away from car accident in 1988. Eventough we’re not close that much after we’re in WWF because we have their own friends/ own roles but I can’t refuse that Adonis is good brother for me and my fond memories include Adrian as one of them. He’s gone too fast, that’s the reason why I feel like…I still have unresolved issues and still not used to accept that he’s gone to somewhere. I still imagine if we both are 60 years old men, have white hair, sit together, drink some beer and share crazy journey of our wrestling career. I love you my brother, tell wrestling friends up there I said hi🤍

My Top Favorite Drawings from 2023:

"I shouldn't be here!" I put my heart and soul in this one. i am the cartoon dino. i don't know why i'm here or what i'm doing.

2. "Do you only know how to run?" the color palette, the imagery with the landscape shaped to a heartrate monitor, the way this was extrapolated from my real-life worries and the way fear can become overwhelming when playing a survival sim game. it's a comic from the heart.

3. "Let's stay here a while." another labor of love, to capture something sweet. i'll overlook it's flaws for the sentimental value it holds. in this i see a dream of peace.

4. "two snarky robots". this one turned out cleeeeaaaan. the character interaction is everything i wanted, very amusing.

5. "no brain no brawn". 1st digital thing i drew in 2023 and i just love the energy in it. i see anger threatening tears in the eyes as the pachy is scrambling after seemingly being knocked down. a lot of the same ideas/themes as the #1 drawing, and 100% inspired it.

6. Redraw of that one SA2 art, you know the one, with my oc Trench, and Blaze. i love how the lineweights and colors came thru for it being traditional art.

7. "Sonic Rush Adventure 2 minicomic"(page 3). Even if i didn't finish my very short comic, i reached the moment that inspired the whole thing. the "copy-cat" callout and ensuing interaction. and i've got my OC looking rather professional in not one but TWO fullbody shots here!

8. "Sona". i don't think i've ever put such nice detail and color into my fursona before, and the face shape seems so well constructed. normally my art construction tends to be very loose and result in faces sliding off of heads and such

9. "Between a rock and a bunch of hungry carnivores". the cartoonism combined with the 'perspective' and lineweights and visual story of this one delight me.

10. "they're just really cute, okay?" yes i had a bit of a year shipping these two lol. i love how relaxed and joyful they both look here, and the way they overlap and lean into each other despite the toonishly giant hands and shoes. the uncharacteristically large smile on blaze. it's good fluff.

11. "Anger". it's all in the emotion and the colors and shapes. i can feel the burst of heat and the white-hot rage i wanted to capture.

Nazuna proposing you say? Well not that you'd say no anyway, but with the amount of thought and planning he put into this? You’d never find the words.

He wants everything to be PERFECT. 

The venue is picked out- somewhere nice but lowkey, he doesn't want it to be super public, for the sake of both of your nerves- he's thought about potential outfits, the weather, food, music- you name it, he's thought of it. 

If he thinks you'll worry, he'll subtly get your friends to propose a manicure so your nails are nice for any potential photos with the ring- 

Speaking of the ring; it's gorgeous.

You'd both had a discussion and agreed you felt it was good timing to get married, and of course you'd browsed some engagement rings together, but that was awhile ago… Of course, Nazuna had compiled everything you'd said. Gems you liked, adornments that caught your eye- he even went as far to call your family and ask if there were any special rings that passed through the family. 

After everything though he had the ring you were sure to love. It checked every box of your dream ring.

It was tucked away up the back of his nightstand. Sometimes when you weren't home he'd pull it out and just stare it, entranced by the idea that soon it would rest upon your finger. That soon you and he would be married.

As the day he's picked out approaches, every time he sees you he can't help but smile. Butterflies erupt in his stomach that he can't quell. He's falling in love all over again.

Finally, it's the day before the proposal. You always make time to go out on date nights, so tomorrow evening will be under the guise of a typical, but albeit fancier, date night.

As the days drew closer he started making habit of always having the ring on him, or at least near him- lest you accidentally stumble upon it incase of cleaning or searching for something like a charger. 

It bears a certain weight- not physically, but almost emotionally. Mentally. It brings him comfort. 

Although, tonight, it also brings a sense of giddiness as it sits in his pyjama pants pocket.

You're both sprawled out on the couch, watching a movie that you're both only half paying attention to.

You're too busy laughing at a joke you cracked, his laughter mingling with yours in the air.

Thanks to the blanket wrapped around your legs though, and the couch not being particularly big enough for you both to be laying on side to side, you tumble of the couch in a fit of giggles.

Nazuna is quick to kneel beside you, asking through gasping breaths if you're alright.

He takes your hand in his and pulls you to sit up.

Then, without thinking- just knowing the emotions that are surging through him, Nazuna takes out the ring from his pocket and presents it to you with the words "Will you marry me?" tumbling out before he can stop them.

Yes, he just proposed to you as you sat on your lounge room floor, in your pyjamas and tangled in blankets, the day before he was MEANT to do it.

The answer is, of course, yes, and it's a long session of crying and emotions before Nazuna finally realises what he's done.

He sheepishly admits to his plans once you ask what's wrong and you can't help but laugh and cry all over again.

You ask if you can still do the date- and if he wants, he can ask again.

He says he will- he'll recite his speech properly next time too.

Needless to say, you're excited for tomorrow.

So umm...What do you think about each iteration of ryoma(toei,armageddon,new getter, etc.)?

Idk why you anon but ooo I was expecting a question like this! For reference: I haven’t fully read any of the mangas-I DESPERATELY need to read OG but I have a terrible attention span, the spin offs don’t really interest me-and toei I only saw a ep of, so sorry to disappoint but I can only fully give my thoughts fully on the OVAs. (Also probably won’t put noir here cause uh- yeah lol)

That said.

Armageddon: My favorite even though he’s gone for a good portion of the show, it doesn’t make him any less of a character even if he had missed potential in development-but with that at least SRW gives him more screen time! Even if I’m mixed on his characterization in newer stuff-he has so much to him and he’s the reason I fell in love with this series. He went from “OOOO hot criminal guy” to “war vet hobo who’s mentally fucked up and needs help but will never get it” for me, I just- love him dearly.

Shin Vs Neo: Despite this ova being the weakest in terms of plot, this Ryoma is actually REALLY interesting. It’s so nice to actually see a timeline where Ryoma gets to relax, especially in one that’s a water downed Manga timeline-since even though I need to fully read, I know it gets FUCKED. Since the panels got spoiled for me lol-He’s literally “living his best life ™️ “ and with how 90% of this franchise is it’s nice to have an iteration like this. Of course, he never got a proper character arc so it’s mainly his personality that shines, but he’s still up there as my third favorite. Especially with the ponytail OOOOOOO-

New: *slams fist* FUCKAAHAHAHAB. I have many emotions about this one. While Arma is my favorite, New is easily the best Ryoma has ever been animated, from a writing standpoint. Taking all his development from the manga but turning it on its side by Ryoma ACTUALLY fighting against the will of Emperor is just brilliant, and this isn’t even getting into how his personality is completely fleshed out. I honestly think the only reason he isn’t my favorite overall is due to the ending- GOD. Not to say it’s a “he didn't deserve this” way, it makes sense why it went that path it just- fucking HURTS to think about and I know that was the intent. Yeah Arma doesn't get his happy ending either, but at least he’s with his bros so it eases me a bit to know “well he’s happy even if he’s in quiet the situation” and I know New path is better then just being consumed into cosmic horror it still just AAAAAA. (I want a spin off manga that continues New so bad but I know that won’t happen… I just- I just want him to be okay)

Anyways Ryoma rank is Arma>New>SVN. Whenever I finally get through the manga and if I make myself watch more Toei I’ll update this, but I do love every Ryoma in some capacity regardless of how well I know him. (And maybe I’ll read like Devo or Dino since Devo I vaguely know about + it has a official translation and as for Dino the artist for the SKL manga drew it so I’m a bit interested- but you have to pay me to EVER touch Darkness lol)

Also feel free to ask my opinions about different Hayato’s or any character in the OVAs! I love giving my thoughts about the general cast.

My Thoughts on Gargoyles Issue 8 and Dark Ages issue 2

Gargoyles issue 8 Mayday

Bit late writing issue 8 as i've been busy

Great issue love seeing The Pack again, even though Wolf was in issue 6, we haven't seen Jackal and Hyena since the episode The Green, so it was nice to see them back together. But as Goliath was able to defeat them easily they certainly need another upgrade and possible new members.

I've lost count on how many times Rikers Island has been broken into. even with the extra security.

the prison guard who enjoys shocking Goliath has a redemption moment, he sets Goliath free to stop the Pack.

Love Coldfire, she's the narrator for this issue. love the 2 page spread of her and Coldstone's life.

Brooklyn's still mad at Broadway and Lexington leaving the castle the night before. He's still struggling as leader and in my opinion, I think he should step down as Second in Command when Goliath is back with the clan and give it to Angela or Broadway instead.

There are 2 new characters, Izaak Slaughters associates Murray and lol, Alphabet.

Peter Choy and Rosaria Sanchez are still captured and obviously Dino Dracon, Glasses and Pal Joey are in the Trio masks. I assume Brooklyn, Broadway and Lexington go save them in issue 10.

Can't wait for issue 9.

Gargoyles Dark Ages issue 2 The Draw

Great issue, lots of action and it was heart breaking. Love Drew Moss's art.

New Character Lord Valois, who knows magic, he looks oddly similar to Valmont (SLG issue 10, 11 and 12) and Duval (SLG issue 9). He attacked some Gargoyles with water using magic from a spear, which looks similar to Archmage attacking Goliath, Angela ect with sand in Avalon part 2.

Verity's death, knew it was coming but it's still heart breaking but I was hoping it wasn't going to happen so soon, the art of their reactions of her death was brilliantly done. I wonder if we get to see a Wind Ceremony.

I definitely blame Hyppolyta and Angel for Verity's Death, as they shouldn't been there in the first place. I'm glad that their Rookery Siblings stayed behind.

Angel is captured by Culen, which I knew was coming due to issue 3 description.

Love that Goliath is held back by Mentor.

Culen calls Hudson Rhydderch, I looked it up and it says 'Welsh male given name being a compound of the elements "rhi" (ruler) and "derch" (exalted)' and there is a Rhydderch in 971 in Scottish history, I decided to not look it up just incase it may contain a spoiler.

So Lefty is actually Angel biological Brother, I originally thought he was her biological Father, I assume he was hatched in 898 or 918.

Great issue, can't wait for issue 3.

The Joy of Life Challenge - #23

The family enjoy a nice breakfast together before Aspen heads to school and Casper heads off to work.

Casper gives Aspen a hug and a beautiful (and expensive) gift: a toy dinosaur! He was really in need of more grown-up toys. He had only just donated his toddler ones!

While the boys were busy at school and work, April had a peaceful jog with the doggo, Betsy.

And then I got a shock!

Like, okay. April and Casper autonomously woohoo more than any couple i've ever known... and I checked and their protection RAN OUT because of how much they were woohooing...

But almost instantly after finding out she was pregnant...

She immediately out of my control went to the hospital after she felt intense cramping, just like last time.

Fortunately, the doctors were able to help, and she didn't lose her baby!!!

She's so extremely happy to be pregnant. But after the miscarraige last time, and her nearly losing the baby this time... she decided to keep the pregnancy from Casper until her second trimester.

She wanted to avoid causing him upset again, especially since he nearly became an alcoholic last time they lost the baby.

It was going to be tough keeping such a big secret from him, especially since he may notice and ask questions anyway!

Casper came back home with good news: he got a promotion at work! April immediately congratulated him on his promotion. She's so unbelievably proud of him.

However, after asking Aspen if he wants siblings, he did NOT want them! Yikes!!

Later that evening, Aspen drew a beautiful picture, and gifted it to Casper to thank him for his dino toy. Casper loved it!

He put it up next to the picture Aspen did on his first day at school! By the way, the lucky little shit was able to go on a field trip to the theatre on the second day of school?! What school is this and why wasn't I there?!

The next morning, April felt a little icky...

But she was finally in the second trimester, and things were going well! She finally had the courage to share the news of her pregnancy with Casper!

And he, of course, was ecstatic!

April actually had an ultrasound scan that same day, along with the 'get togetehr' that Keane (more like Keane's wife, Lori) invited them to, for a chance for Aspen to get to know his siblings more.

April & Casper arrived at the hospital, and Summer Holiday was the obstetrician that gave the ultrasound scan.

They learned that they're having....

A baby GIRL!!

They're so excited to know more about their little one!!

Before they got ready to go to Keane & Lori's place for the little get together, April & Casper decided to woohoo (yet again) and read to their baby!

Afterwards, April told Aspen about the news that he's expecting a baby sister!

And well, it didn't go that great.

But, I think he's more excited than he's letting on...

In the next part, the family arrive at the get together at Keane & Lori's.

Bronze to Mythic: Lost Caverns of Ixalan, draft #3

This deck played out much better than I thought it would! 5-3.

Pack 1 pick 1 Dead Weight as a disappointing first pick in a horrible pack. Pick 2 Deep-Cavern Bat over Confounding Riddle in another pretty bad pack, no real reason to switch colors. Pick 3 Dead Weight over Staunch Crewmate and Sunfire Torch, again, no real reason to go into another color. Pick 4 Primordial Gnawer and I'm wondering where the good cards are? Pick 5 was probably a mistake, River Herald Scout over Petrify, which I don't remember seeing in the pack (I'm still not used to arts yet). Pick 6 Join the Dead, pick 7 Tithing Blade, pick 8 Skullcap Snail, pick 9 deathcap Marionette, pick 10 and 13 Cartographer's Companion. I felt pretty good about where I was given how weak the packs were.

Pack 2, pick 1 Chupacabra Echo over Ojer Pakpatiq, as I realized I had only 1 spell to copy. Pick 2 Synapse Necromage over Spring-Loaded Saw blades as O figured I had enough removal I could just stay black. Pick 3 Clay-Fired Bricks over nothing, which felt like a good draw to white for a late game bomb-adjacent threat. Pick 4 Bitter Triumph. Pick 5 Spyglass Siren over Sunfire Torch with no black cards in the pack. Pick 6 was a Brackish Blunder to pick it over a second Primordial Gnawer or Attentive Subscribe. Pick 7 Acolyte of Aclazotz. The pick 8 Tinker's Tote pretty much solidified a white splash, and getting a second one pick 10 sealed the deal. The Clay-Fired Bricks will be real good. Vanguard of the Rose pick 11 feels like a crime.

Pack 3 did not go well. I got a playable but not fantastic Bloodletter oof Aclazotz, and then 4 packs in a row with basically no playable black or white cards before a pick 5 Snail, and that was basically the end of the draft.

I thought my deck was pretty medium, but it played out a little better than that. I do enjoy these kind of underpowered cobble together a win however you can get it grind-em-out attrition decks. I started 3-0 against three GW decks with better card quality but I just ground them into paste.

My first loss was to BW mostly because I couldn't draw a second black source and could never double-spell. Maybe I should have been 11-6 instead of 10-7. My second loss I kept a 4 land hand with Hidden Necropolis, Clay Fired Bricks, and Chupacabra Echo. A little slow but I have a low curve and lots of things to trade off and turn on Chupacabra. But I drew 5 lands, one spell, and they had the 3 mana 6/6 dino on curve, so... I won a nail-biter off the back of my Bloodletter of Aclazots, and a non-game where my opponent got stuck on 2 land. Then to return the favor, I had a really nice 2-lander with Dead Weight, multiple 2 mana plays on the draw and stumbled a couple turns on the 3rd land. I couldn't double-spell with my Dead Weight when I needed to. I had to Clay-Fired Bricks for my 4th land, which was also very awkward, and I just died to random creatures I could have otherwise beaten.

Grasping Shadows was pretty solid for me. The nice part is that the turn you transform it, it comes in untapped so you can draw right away. I wouldn't play it unless you can go wide and block though, because 4 mana to not affect the board is a tall ask.

5-3 is a good result, but I can't help but feel like my last two drafts have been bitten by mana/color issues.

The set is growing on me.

I am so sorry I debated which scene to use and yeah... time got away from me. I have decided to keep these light-hearted so this first scene is older and will likely change but it has my favorite out of context line. (It does qualify for one character caring for another right?)

Triceratops - share a scene where one character is protecting or caring for another

“Here,” Takashti blinked as a fragrant, plush squirrel was shoved into his chest. He grabbed onto it more out of reflex than a desire to keep it. “Ella helps me a lot when I’m anxious. I refreshed her perfume before coming so it should be nice and strong.” Jayme continued, grinning at Takashti. “Yeah, I can smell that.” Takashti tried passing it back but Jayme shook his head as he pushed it into Takashti again. “It’s ok, Takashti, Ella wants to help you.” Takashti opened his mouth but stopped at the earnest look in Jayme’s eyes. “Yeah, whatever,” He grumbled. What was he going to do with a toy squirrel? He was not going to hug it, that was for sure. And then they were taking off. Nothing between them and certain death besides human engineering. Takashti clutched the armrest with his right hand and the squirrel to his chest with his left. “We’re going to die,” he muttered. “Smell the squirrel,” Jayme said. “What?” Takashti looked at him. “Smell. The squirrel.” Jayme tried to force Takashti to raise the dumb squirrel to his nose. “I can smell it just fine where it is, mome.” “But you need to immerse yourself in the scent to relax. Just close your eyes and take the scent in and the flight will be over before you know it.” Takashti rolled his eyes and raised the squirrel to his nose. “There, you happy?” He asked. He started to lower it then stopped, relaxing just a little as he breathed in the nearly overwhelming scents of lavender and chamomile. Ok, maybe the mome had a point. But he forced himself to lower the squirrel just a little bit.

I don't think I've posted much of Mrs. Bee (a crime) so here is her introduction:

The inn was decorated with various illustrations of sea animals and rigging and parts from various ship wrecks. Shuntala looked about, admiring each drawing that she could see. Nahuel led the way to a seat by one of the windows that was near a large drawing of a whale. He pulled her seat out and pushed it in for her. She couldn’t take her eyes off of the nearby drawing. “Mrs. Bee’s husband works on ships and loves to draw.” Nahuel explained. “He drew this? It’s very detailed. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a drawing done this well.” She lightly touched part of the whale. It looked like a humpback. “Thank you, I’ll let him know the next time he comes back.” Shuntala turned to a plump, middle-aged woman. “Hello, darling, I’m Mrs. Bee or just Bee.” She nodded in Nahuel’s direction. “He didn’t kidnap you, did he?” “Why would I kidnap anyone?” Nahuel asked defensively. “A man like you with someone like her? I thought I was hallucinating at first.” Bee winked at Shuntala. Shuntala smiled. “How do you know I didn’t kidnap him?” she asked. Bee laughed. “Alright, whoever kidnapped who is not my business as long as you order.”
