Arcadian Wild just being the epitome of comfort lyrics
Lara, don't you let 'em get your head down … Oh, Lara dear No matter what they say, may you hear The daybreak's near
Lara, keep an eye on the horizon Don't worry bout the rain, the sun is rising -Lara
From day one you pushed me forward Never once stopped to take a breath When I look for you, you're standing in my corner Holding up the world -Corner
When the darkness makes me feel like I'm far away from you You gently remind me that this never was nor will be true -Shoulders
Whether or not there'll be warmer weather, There's just enough sun to see, you're the light over me … Be the ground underneath my feet I'll walk with no need to worry … Be in the wind I hear whispering I'll carry you when your weary -Willow
Wake up and break yourself out of here Don't be one of the cold souls who disappears Stop believing and telling the lie Why don't you look your life in the eye? -Dopamine
Listen to my voice Close your frightened eyes Hide behind my love for you ‘Cause fear’s only a choice, one that we all must make someday So know you’re not alone in this -Rain Clouds (my personal favorite)

Song of the Day 01/07/2023
Sonder - The Wrecks
Sonder (noun): The profound feeling of realizing that everyone, including strangers passing in the street, has a life as complex as one's own, which they are constantly living despite one's personal lack of awareness of it.
First of all, this song is a BANGER. The drums and the guitar and the vocals all go so hard. The main singer has this sort of growly rasp that just sounds so nice. I love the softer bit in the middle and how it contrasts the intensity of the rest of the song. There’s a really fun build up, in my opinion. This man’s voice just is one of my favorites.
Favorite Lyrics
All I wanted was some proof, that you cared about others
All I wanted was proof, that you understand sonder
Idk man, something about it just tickles my brain. Sonder is such an interesting thing, it’s hard to wrap your head around
Long nights, hard fights
Hold tight, we'll make it through
Starlight, street signs
Alright, it's all for you
Long nights, our nights
Soft like the month of June
I just love the rhyming here and the imagery. Soft like the month of June, man
Final Takeaway
One of my favorite songs right here man. It’s just such a banger. This is an excellent screaming in the car song. This band is incredible, and I can’t thank the person I’m dating enough for introducing me to them. I actually got to see this song live with them!! 12/10 show, I would absolutely recommend seeing The Wrecks in concert if you ever get the chance. Firm believer that every wlw should have an emotional support boy band and this is mine.
Bonus, check out the acoustic version!

Thanks to Marvel and Ms Johansson I am unable to listen to ‘Line without a hook’ without thinking of Natasha Romanoff being a guardian angel and watching over me when I’m sad/ scared. It’s the most comforting thing I swear

Electric Touch with "just breathe, just relax, it'll be okay" will become one of my new comfort songs right next to king of my heart with "I'm perfectly fine, I live on my own"

it must have been a figurative decade since I did a tag game! I got tagged by @firefly-party - so here goes my comfort list:
Comfort food: lasagna. but I haven’t had that in a loooong time,,, (if you have no oven that can be a little … challenging); probably anything my grandma makes? - AND LAHMACUN (preferably with my grandma’s recipe for the ‚topping‘ and made by the baker in her town)
Comfort movies: I usually have some crime show running in the background (The Mentalist, Criminal minds, one of the NCIS‘s etc.) as noise but I don’t rewatch movies - usually
But I do have an anime that I rewatch for comfort! Guardian of the Spirit
Comfort Clothing: Oversized hoodies. Definitely. Since I am also in a relationship with a chronic oversized hoodie wearer I have a virtually unlimited supply~
Comfort Songs: eh… I listen to a lot of classical music? But I do enjoy any kind of familiar song when looking for comfort. Since I am actually coming down with something at the moment I feel like …listening to TAD and also… I’ll probably listen to a lot of Rock & Alternative (+Alternative Rock) music
Comfort Books: I don’t reread books. But I reread a (1) fanfiction once. [and when you want to, kiss me by deeplywornletters - in the reread I skipped the smut though]
Comfort Games: Witcher 3 - even though I haven’t finished it yet… it brings me comfort already. Animal crossing; Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the white witch (it was the first video game I bought myself and got really immersed in :) - recently purchased it for the switch (played it on ps3 originally)
I tag ehm… @beaniorcitizen @detectivelucygumshoe @imsimplystupid @rainbow-asphyxiation @roombagreyjoy @sharkentine @sternmel99 @smol-stitch

Song of the Day 01/09/2023
She’s So Gone - Naomi Scott
Yes I AM choosing a DCOM song, and NO I don’t think that’s strange. She’s So Gone goes HARD. In fact, the entire Lemonade Mouth soundtrack slaps, but something about this song ignites something in me. It’s almost pop punk, I think, I LOVE the drums. You could tell me this was a song by a popular pop punk/pop rock band and I’d believe you. Naomi Scott has incredible vocals, and the message behind this song is so wonderful.
Favorite Lyrics
Insecure in her skin
Like a puppet, a girl on a string
Broke away, learned to fly
If you want her back, gotta let her shine
Starting off so strong, lyrics about breaking away from expectations (familial, societal, whatever) and becoming yourself, learning to be free
Are you shocked? Are you mad?
I just love the delivery of this part
Final Takeaway
Naomi Scott is an underappreciated queen. Lemonade Mouth is an underappreciated movie. I STAND by the fact that Lemonade Mouth is a better musical than High School Musical. This song is one of several bangers off of the soundtrack, and I’m obsessed, honestly. I love to belt this song. I love the almost pop punk vibe, but we been knew I’m a pop punk bitch first and a music love second.

On tonight’s music ramble, comfort songs!
What are y’all’s comfort songs that you can just chill to? Or songs that can calm you down when you’re in the middle of freaking out?
Currently (probably due to the season), my comfort song is “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper”, specifically Pierce The Veil’s rendition of it. While I absolutely adore Blue Öyster Cult’s og version, I think Pierce the Veil adds that extra kick.
Here it is, in case you want to take a listen for yourself!
Lately, this has been on repeat, in addition to the other spooky songs of the season. It’s by no means a new discovery or a new song, I just wanted to share with y’all.

I'm going to lay here and daydream for the next 8 hours straight with my headphones on full volume.
Do NOT disturb me unless my cat needs me. If you're dying, take yourself to the ER. This is important and I will be of no help to you-

Songs that Would Help Me Escape Vecna's Curse:
Here Comes a Thought from Steven Universe
100 Bad Days by AJR
Michael Bublé's Christmas Album
Wallow's Entire Discography
MCR's Entire Discography
The Entire Waitress Soundtrack
Rainbow Connection by Kermit the Frog
I'm sure there are more that I can't think of. If you judge me, I'll cry and that will add to my trauma and basically send Vecna after me. The fact Vecna hasn't come after me yet honestly baffles me. But anywayssss

The worst thing about RAB not being on Spotify is that I cannot listen to 'Kitchen Sink' , one of the most important comfort songs to my existence :(
