can't believe a show based on a videogame (usually games adaptations are notoriously bad, which isn't the case here tho) gave me the beauty and the beast/twisted mirrors/enemies to traveling companions/ruthless antihero+optmistic but still badass heroine who takes none of his shit/age gap but make it sexy dynamic of my dreams. as much as i love maximus and i think he deserves the best writing ever because 1. he's a clever deconstruction of the aspiring Knight bro who's actually a bit of a loser and, as much as lucy, sees the world in black&white at first and then doesn't get what he thought he wanted but what he needs (or at least i hope he'll eventually get it), and 2. he's a cutie and i want an epic love story for him too, it's very funny how they tried to give us a puppy kind of romance and the tumblr girlies still fixated on the "toxic ~she bites his finger off and he cuts hers off and sews it on his hand in what we'll pretend it's a symbolic marriage rings exchange or whatever~ asshole who used to be a nice guy/good girl™ with a lot of spunk and hidden anger but unshakeable morals" kind of relationship.

#mind you idt the writers will ever have the guts to go for this pair or anything and i'm perfectly okay with the maximus/lucy romance #but still. they tried to give us the wholesome love story between two cuties with a killer side #and the fandom went ~mmmh we kinda want for that girl and the noseless radioactive ghoul to fuck nasty actually #shhdhdhf i'm sorry but this was so predictable to me. conosco i miei polli #also. i don't fully understand those who see it as a father/daughter thing? just because it worked on tlos #doesn't mean we need the same kind of dynamic here #1. despite him being an actual father (or at least. he was 200+ years ago) i've never seen a less paternal character than the ghoul lmao #2. lucy is an adult woman. young but in her mid twenties i guess? cooper had (and maybe still has) a daughter but the kid was like. 6 or 7? #lucy doesn't need a daddy she's a grown up. stop infantilizing women all the freaking time #let them be fully equals!! let them be bickering road trip companions/a killer squad/tentative allies who eventually form a real bond #i SWEAR if the writers go full parent/child bs with them in s2 because they're more popular #(at least on ao3. i don't expect the same level of insanity from the general audience) #than the canon ship i'll riot. idt they will but still #..... maybe they should go for a hot max/lucy/coop polycule instead. that would be interesting lmao #vaultghoul #fallout #val rambles in the tags #val speaks #txt

Figuring out looks for a post canon Coop. Im my headcanon he still retains traits from his magnetite condition, so he sports visible aging. I thought his clothes was a bit bland for for somone who comes from a skating planet so I looked at real skater boys for inspiration. His glasses and shirt symbols resemble Motherboard's eyes.

For colors I looked at skater and tropical palettes. I don't want to stick to just one.

I’m defs a dog person and i spend a lot of my time ensuring my dogs have full and enriched lives, and then I just vibe with my cats as if they are lil housemates. But lately I’ve been dedicating a lot of time to webinars and reading material on how to be a good cat mum and my cats are really benefiting from what I’m learning!!! I bought this tall cat tree that reaches the roof and Figgy feels safe enough to come and hang out with everybody in the living area because she can now be up high. Isn’t she cute!!

Christmas Family Fluff One Shot:

It was weird. That was the only way Slider could describe it. Major holidays, his bday, it all had become just... days. But ever since his pops had returned, suddenly there was an expectation of celebration, and Starlight Night was no exception.

Slider had woken up and stumbled groggily to the garage to see what in Motherboard's code all the racket was, only to find his father Coop, dragging boxes that had several layers of dust on them, out from the top of shelves.

Staring at him, Slider looked between the boxes and Coop with a puzzled expression, leaning on the doorframe with a raised eyebrow. Coop glanced up and caught Slider's look with a chuckle. "Hey Sly, decided to get a jump start on decorating since all the neighbors seem to have their lights up. Want to help?" He grinned easily at his son, unbothered by the stare he was on the recieving end of.

Slider racked his brain for what exactly would cause the neighborhood to be adored with lights, before blinking in suprise. "We're decorating for Starlight Night?" The answer was so obvious yet so foreign.

Coop gave his son an ever patient smile and shrugged with a chuckle. "Don't tell me you outgrew it or something!?" Coop half joked. It was awkward sometimes, how different Slider was from the young borg he'd left all those years ago, so much more serious and quiet. Not that he loved him any less or anything, it was sometimes a more startling contract.

Slider chuckled and shook his head. "No, no, I just kind of- well... didn't really see the point of celebrating when it was just me." He shrugged, unaware of how that sentence broke his father's h-drive.

Giving Slider a patient grin, Coop stood up, pulling a string of lights out of a box and holding them out to Slider. "Well, you're not alone anymore, and these lights aren't going to hang themselves." He teased, making Slider chuckle under his breath as he took them from the older Radster.

Holding up his hands in defeat, Slider quickly returned Coop's grin. "No, I guess they aren't." He agreed as the pair set to work.

It took the entire rest of the day, but the garage and small apartment attached were soon decorated inside and out, and although Slider and Coop were covered in pine needles, glitter, tinsel, and a fine layer of dust, they also had matching grins as Coop placed a star on top of the tree and stepped back proudly. It looked festive for the first time in years, and Slider could honestly say he felt more excited looking at the decor than saddened, like the many years past.

Coop looked down at Slider with a soft smile and pulled him into a side hug, gently rubbing his shoulder. "Happy early Starlight Night Sly, I think it's going to be a good one."

Slider was quick to wrap his arms around Coop and shoot him a relaxed grin in return. "The best." He corrected softly, and he was right.

Honestly, I really love the idea that the approach with the next gen tends to be “it takes a village” just bc of how embedded the sisters are in each other’s lives. I’ve mentioned it before in the tags of this post, but the idea that you wouldn’t be able to match parents/child or siblings of each set bc you just can’t really tell. I don’t know, just the idea of Piper making cupcakes for the twins’ class while Phoebe gives Mel advice about a boy while Leo teaches Phoebe’s daughter how to drive while Henry teaches Chris how to throw a punch and so on just hits for me for some reason. 

Especially when it comes to trouble, like a demon attack during a Warren family dinner night? Paige pulls Wyatt out of the way of a Darklighter attack, and doesn’t even need to look to know that Coop and Piper will do the same thing for her daughters. Whenever trouble pops up, they’d protect any of the kids with their own life, as if they were their own, no matter whose they actually are.
