i love that the rise of the internet is contributing to theatre culture on a whole, especially with bringing eyes to certain off-broadway or underground productions (speaking more directly about ride the cyclone). but i am very annoyed by the internetification of theatre in the way of like. fandom culture and forcing these poor actors to be permanently related to certain roles and having to pull back the curtain on certain things that should just always remain a mystery, bc theatre is all about that mystery and of letting the audience sit down unaware and be immersed in something completely new
#ignorance cloud on#im thinking abt how the actor for noel was like. answering questions people had abt his time on ride the cyclone#and like q&as are fine. theyre often nice bc it humanizes the actor rather than the character#but then at the end he teased answering like a very Fandom Specific Question and it bothered me#bc its like. peeling back the curtain of the show#some things are left unsaid bc thats how stories work. u dont need the actor spelling it out for u#also bc it was related to the dumbass 'noel is talia theory' which like. is so fandom-brained its insane#and it completely destroys the concept of noel and mischa as characters bc it implies an inherent maliciousness in noel w his relation to#mischa. in the way that its predatory to fake being someone and then like. string out this relationship#and it also reduces mischa down to an over-extended gay joke????? which is sad#like his song is full of so much longing and passion#i wish people just left it as is#but the fact that like. even the actor for noel is being bothered abt this is just -__-#i kno fandom culture has been harassing actors abt fan bullshit for decades#but its sad to see it in theatre bc theatre is my home and where i derive the most significant meaning#and i want more people to derive their happiness from theatre bc theatre is so wonderful!!!!!!!!!#but i dont want it to be fandomized in the ways it becoming since the hamilton days#which ig could have something to do w guerilla broadway marketing#but for a smaller production like ride the cyclone its like! a double edged sword basically#bc this show is getting the attention it deserves but its also being dragged to the spotlight in a way that can attract fandom culture#and fandom culture itself is a double edged sword so. yeah#thats ur insane mich rant for the night i will now return to thinking about miku's weird gay kids

Life’s Insanity - Christy 1.2
Christy took a logic class and Sarah Jessica Parker and her crew were there
Tumblr media
When she was leaving, Malcolm Landgraab nearly died
Tumblr media
"Are you alright?"
"I suddenly felt nauseous.."
Tumblr media
"Let me take a look"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lisa Bunch was really concerned
Tumblr media
Christy then punched him in the stomach
Tumblr media
"Feeling better?"
"Yeah...thanks"
Tumblr media
Christy went to the library to work on her writing skill.
She was very broke and thought taking a side gig as a writer might be a good idea
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Simis Bachelor was dying
Tumblr media
During all of this, Bella became terrifying
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She got better
Tumblr media
"Are you perhaps a werewolf?"
( It was a full moon)
Tumblr media
Christy punched a few of his pressure points, like she does this every day
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was a success
"Thankyou!"
Tumblr media
Christy wanted to skinny dip so why not
Tumblr media
The couple met up for dinner at the bistro
Tumblr media
"I didn't know you had a car..."
"I don't actually. I borrowed it from Stiles and promised not to write a bad article about his band"
Tumblr media
They headed to the karaoke bar to play dominos
Tumblr media
Things were going so well between them and Christy wanted their relationship to move to the next level
"I was wondering, Cy. Would you like to move in together?"
Tumblr media
"Of course! With Blair married with kids, my place is getting a little crowded."
Tumblr media
Cyclone stayed the night and would go get his things after work the next day
Let the fun begin!
Tumblr media
Christy found herself dealing with a feud at work and decided a party would fix the issue
It was Spooky Day after all
Tumblr media
Before her guest arrived, the trick or treaters did
"Trick or Treat!"
Tumblr media
Morgana, who is still married to Thornton, tried to flirt with Cyclone
Christy couldn't believe she tried it while she was in the room
Tumblr media
After that awkward moment, Christy got to the mission at hand: Make sure Reina had a good time
Tumblr media
Meanwhile....
Tumblr media
Cyclone just wants to be left alone...
Tumblr media
Cyclone's obligatory makeover
Tumblr media
Christy was on vaccination duty
Tumblr media
"See? That didn't hurt at all Stiles"
"I suppose you're right"
Tumblr media
Cyclone got a promotion!
+10
Tumblr media
The costume party did more than stop a feud at work.
Christy and Reina were now best friends
Tumblr media
Good Job, ya couch potato
Tumblr media
At least he puts away the laundry
Tumblr media
So much for dinner..
Tumblr media
So I have a mod that triggers household events that you can get when you start a new game
Well...I did want chaos
Tumblr media
The game gifted them a maid for a while
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Me too Cyclone, me too
Tumblr media
Well that maid sucked.
Couples that clean together, stay together
Tumblr media
WE WERE DOING SO WELL
-5
Tumblr media
AAAAHHH
Tumblr media
"Are you going back to cooking?"
"We're hungry Ms. Firefighter"
Tumblr media
Christy then rolled the want to woohoo
I guess the fire got her all bothered

things about the Boboiboy series that drive me NUTS (this list is written solely from memory)
the fact that the first three elements, Wind, Earth, and Lightning, didn't really start out as having different personality's from Boboiboy himself (at least, not by much/it wasn't extremely noticable) but then, Lightning, after being split for too long, losing his memories completely, and achieving tier 2, becoming Thunderstorm, suddenly goes all Edgy(TM). and then Wind eats a mood-changing potion and goes manic, and not only does that unlock his tier 2, making him Cyclone but that becomes his personality. like. hello??? the implications.... and then later on, Fire, Water, Leaf, and Light manifest WITH their personalities pre-set. what??? the vague implication that the elements are sentient and the personalities started becoming more obvious when Boboiboy's mind started slipping/letting them have freer reign haunts me every day.
speaking of Fire's manifestation. he initially manifested from the stress of exams and walked around accidentally burning shit down in the middle of the night. what a mood tbh.
if the elements are sentient, the implications of Retak'ka stealing them from Boboiboy and using them- without having his personality change, is INSANE. like bro. he used them as a weapon instead of letting them be actual people..... and then later on in the comics Thunderstorm gets taken away AGAIN and is trapped in a sword, a literal weapon, and is used. again. HELLO????
both of the first times Thunderstorm gets summoned (both the obvious first time and the first time after they all got reset to tier 1 due to Complications) involving his phobia kills me every time why the FUCK did they do that. they didn't even address it the second time around but they animated Lightning looking like he was in distress anyways. WHY DID THEY DO THAT TO HIM. i know he's the fave but like. was this necessary.
BOBOIBOY JUST DECIDING "Y'KNOW WHAT??? I'M GONNA INVENT FUSIONS NOW HERE WE GO" IN THE SECOND MOVIE AND PROCEEDING TO ABSOLUTELY WIPE THE FLOOR WITH RETAK'KA
i could list so much Thunderstorm stuff tbh he's definitely the fave they give him so many cool bits of animation. he does the "teleports behind you" move SO OFTEN and it's SO GOOD
Leaf's deadpan "Fashion Tragedy" line
that one time Boboiboy split into Fire, Wind, and Leaf, and EVERYONE agreed he shouldn't have done that and should never do it again cause those three have negative braincells when in a group together
the songs??? like. the opening songs. the insert songs used in the movies. the OST. why the hell are they so good. i mean i know i personally like em cause they tend to use rock. but like. its SO GOOD.
Yaya and Ying being arguably the two most powerful/capable members of the friend group as they should
that one time Thunderstorm and Fang fought and they paused right before hitting each other and the objects behind both of them exploded from the force of the other's attack
in the first movie when it hinted that we'd see Boboiboy without his hat for the first time ever throughout the entire movie and then it FINALLY HAPPENED when he caught a giant hammer right before it could hit him and punched the dude away with a blast of energy. he has a white streak in his hair and it's visible in the series from this point onwards.
I KNOW IVE SAID A LOT OF THUNDERSTORM SCENES BUT THAT POINT IN GALAXY WHERE HE WAS USING TIER 2 BEFORE HE SHOULD'VE BEEN USING IT AND HE KEPT SWAPPING IN BETWEEN BOBOIBOY AND THUNDERSTORM THROUGHOUT THE FIGHT??? THAT WAS COOL AS FUCK I LOVED THAT
i could list so many of the really cool shots from this series tbh. that one time Light slow-mo backflipped over a bunch of debris and then activated laser eyes to shoot at the villain is a highlight.
literally everything about the fact the plot of this show went from "aliens come to earth to steal chocolate" to "boboiboy nearly fucking dies on an almost daily basis"

hey I'm moving to a state with lax knife laws, and I use a cane. it's clear I need a sword cane, any recs?
I don’t have any because a sword cane is a special, even more different kind of illegal in the UK. This is because in 1988 the Thatcher government was psychologically obsessed with scary VHS movies and therefore banned every possible cool kung-fu movie weapon. Here’s the complete list of cool illegal weapons:
a knuckleduster, that is, a band of metal or other hard material worn on one or more fingers, and designed to cause injury, and any weapon incorporating a knuckleduster;
a swordstick, that is, a hollow walking-stick or cane containing a blade which may be used as a sword;
the weapon sometimes known as a “handclaw”, being a band of metal or other hard material from which a number of sharp spikes protrude, and worn around the hand;
the weapon sometimes known as a “belt buckle knife”, being a buckle which incorporates or conceals a knife;
the weapon sometimes known as a “push dagger”, being a knife the handle of which fits within a clenched fist and the blade of which protrudes from between two fingers;
the weapon sometimes known as a “hollow kubotan”, being a cylindrical container containing a number of sharp spikes;
the weapon sometimes known as a “footclaw”, being a bar of metal or other hard material from which a number of sharp spikes protrude, and worn strapped to the foot;
the weapon sometimes known as a “shuriken”, “shaken” or “death star”, being a hard non-flexible plate having three or more sharp radiating points and designed to be thrown;
the weapon sometimes known as a “balisong” or “butterfly knife”, being a blade enclosed by its handle, which is designed to split down the middle, without the operation of a spring or other mechanical means, to reveal the blade;
the weapon sometimes known as a “telescopic truncheon”, being a truncheon which extends automatically by hand pressure applied to a button, spring or other device in or attached to its handle;
the weapon sometimes known as a “blowpipe” or “blow gun”, being a hollow tube out of which hard pellets or darts are shot by the use of breath;
the weapon sometimes known as a “kusari gama”, being a length of rope, cord, wire or chain fastened at one end to a sickle;
the weapon sometimes known as a “kyoketsu shoge”, being a length of rope, cord, wire or chain fastened at one end to a hooked knife;
the weapon sometimes known as a “manrikigusari” or “kusari”, being a length of rope, cord, wire or chain fastened at each end to a hard weight or hand grip;
a disguised knife, that is any knife which has a concealed blade or concealed sharp point and is designed to appear to be an everyday object of a kind commonly carried on the person or in a handbag, briefcase, or other hand luggage (such as a comb, brush, writing instrument, cigarette lighter, key, lipstick or telephone);
a stealth knife, that is a knife or spike, which has a blade, or sharp point, made from a material that is not readily detectable by apparatus used for detecting metal and which is not designed for domestic use or for use in the processing, preparation or consumption of food or as a toy;
a straight, side-handled or friction-lock truncheon (sometimes known as a baton);
a sword with a curved blade of 50 centimetres or over in length; and for the purposes of this sub-paragraph, the length of the blade shall be the straight line distance from the top of the handle to the tip of the blade;
the weapon sometimes known as a “zombie knife”, “zombie killer knife” or “zombie slayer knife”, being a blade with—a cutting edge; a serrated edge; and images or words (whether on the blade or handle) that suggest that it is to be used for the purpose of violence.
the weapon sometimes known as a “cyclone knife” or “spiral knife” being a weapon with—a handle, a blade with two or more cutting edges, each of which forms a helix, and a sharp point at the end of the blade.

⸻ THE HEART OF RUINS
pairing: kenpachi x doctor!reader
warnings: a lil gory? not really that bad though, just mild descriptions of injuries.
themes: hurt/comfort, short drabble, sorta-established relationship, flashback, sunshine x grumpy (?)
word count: 2.4K (vv short lol)
+ + + + + + + + + + + + +
Kenpachi knew something was off the moment Captain Mayuri came barreling through his room in near hysterics, frantically inquiring about your whereabouts.
“Where is [name]?” He demanded, eyes shifting around the room in search of you, unusually panicked.
Kenpachi lazily glanced over at the mad scientist, a little curious, a little bored. Mostly irritated. “The hell are you doing in my house?”
“I do not have time to humour simple-minded buffoons like you. The doctor is in grave danger, which means my dear experiment is in grave danger! Now, tell me where [name] went,” Mayuri hissed.
At that, Kenpachi went rigid. Any and all nonchalance fizzled out of existence, replaced by icy tension. “The hell are you talking about, [name] in danger?”
It isn’t possible, he thought. Sure, you didn’t exactly have Kenpachi’s battle prowess, but your own reiatsu and skill rivalled those of the Gotei 13—your healing abilities are only exceeded by Unohana herself.
[Name] hurt? In Kenpachi’s mind, such a thing was inconceivable.
Forbidden.
“Oh for—” Mayuri huffed, exasperated, and quickly spewed out a rapid explanation. “[Name] is helping me test a new drug, and I’ve been monitoring all of their circulatory and respiratory vitals during the serum’s incubation period. Five minutes ago, every vital sign went flat.”
Silence.
A crack! sounded.
The wall splintered and caved in at the force of Kenpachi’s fist striking it.
“What?!” He snarled, the harsh sound ripped from his throat at the news.
Mayuri rolled his eyes. “Yes. Without the host, my research is over, so hurry up and tell me where—“
Before he could utter another syllable, Kenpachi bolted out the door, sword in hand—his eyepatch long forgotten on the bedside table. The force was so great, it sent Mayuri’s headpiece flying off.
“Bumbling idiot!”
As he swore up a storm, the mad (and equally furious) scientist chased after the speeding cyclone of a captain, all while praying for the safe return of his experiment.
✧ ˚ · .
“Hello there.”
Zaraki Kenpachi stared down at the figure before him. His own stature dwarfed you in comparison, and the scar on his hardened features did nothing to soften his visage.
You greeted him with a gentle smile all the same.
“Huh? What are you?”
“I am the new head field doctor, [name]. It is so nice to meet you,” you grinned. Strangely, Kenpachi isn’t annoyed by it, nor by the way you treated him—as if you’d known him his whole life. “I have heard so much about you, Captain Zaraki.”
“New field doctor? Never heard of ya,” he said.
“Captain! You can’t just—”
Kenpachi’s gaze swivelled towards his number three. Ikakku fell silent at the look in his captain’s eyes.
“It’s alright, Ikkaku. I don’t mind. Go ahead and help the others. Your captain and I have much to discuss,” you reassured him.
The Third Seat looked unconvinced, but relented at your pacifying tone. He shot an anxious look at his captain before exiting the field, leaving you alone with Kenpachi.
He regarded you with mild disinterest, but you paid no heed. There was only one thing on your mind.
“Please lie down, Captain.”
Kenpachi’s eyes narrowed. “This is nothing. I can still fight.”
You peered down at the five-inch hole in his stomach. The wound was so deep, you were surprised he was still standing, much less speaking to you. Blood gushed out in streams, and the more he breathed, the more flesh teared. As a doctor, you were impressed at his tenacity. As a person, you were horrified.
You smiled sweetly. “I will not ask again.”
He only scoffed before turning his back to you.
One step.
Two steps.
Kenpachi took three steps away from you before you wrapped a hand around his neck and tapped the base of his throat with three fingers—light as a feather and as effective as a tranquilizer. Your power flowed through his veins and pooled in his stomach, shutting off any and all protests.
Kenpachi’s eyes rolled into the back of his head and he collapsed to the ground.
“Oh, shit,” you muttered, a grave oversight made. How the hell were you going to lug this giant back to base camp alone?
“Shit, shit, shit, shit…”
“[Name]?”
“Oh, Ikkaku, thank god!”
The shinigami had come back. His eyes widened at the sight before him.
“I’m going to need some help.”
It took a few tries and a lot of breaks, but the two of you managed to successfully drag the captain back to the medical cabins.
Kenpachi woke up from his medically-induced coma a day later, demanding to fight you.
“Where’s that damned doctor? I’ll—”
You waved a hand of dismissal as you walked into his ward. Your nurses scattered, all wearing expressions of relief as they left.
“No need to shout, my dear patient. I am right here.”
“You,” he growled, the accusation ripe on his tongue.
“Me,” you sighed, rubbing your dry eyes with a gloved hand. The fatigue lingered despite your best efforts of staying alert.
Kenpachi faltered as he took in your state. His words were still gruff—unkept, but softer, somehow. Careful.
“What's wrong with you?”
You squinted at him, vision blurry. “Huh?”
“You look like hell,” he grunted.
You blinked, his comment catching you off guard. It caught you so off guard that you found yourself bursting into laughter—or hysterics, you weren’t sure.
“Believe me, I feel like it too,” you breathed, all sorts of aches flooding your muscles. You rolled your shoulder and made your way to his bedside, about to check on his wounds. “So if you want to fight me, it will have to wait until I am rested. Though you’ll win regardless, so I don’t really see a point in it.”
Kenpachi eyed you warily as you got closer, but the tension left him after you finished fiddling with the IV, letting the second dose of morphine hit.
“You never know. Maybe you’re just what I need in an opponent. You knocked me out earlier, remember?” His tone was almost… hopeful? It made you smile, despite your exhaustion.
“You were severely weakened, Captain Zaraki. Three types of venom were found festering within your body. Your organs were shredded to practically nothing. The fact that you survived is nothing short of a miracle, and most definitely beyond me. Hell, beyond the scope of anatomy and physiology itself.
“All that, and it still took me an immense amount of energy to put you to sleep. If you were any closer to your original strength, I would likely be dead,” you pointed out matter-of-factly.
It was true. The sheer power he contained and the potential he had… it was nothing short of monstrous.
Kenpachi barked out a laugh. “How boring.”
“I shall take that as a compliment.”
He laughed again. You found you quite liked the sound of his laughter.
“You have a nice laugh,” you pointed out.
Kenpachi doesn’t respond, only slides you a look of half-boredom and half-nonchalance.
“You could at least say thank you,” you teased.
“I don’t do that,” he grunted.
That time, it was you who laughed.
“You don’t say…”
You glanced at him, and the motion made you dizzy. You squeezed your eyes shut for a few seconds in an attempt to curb it as everything went hazy.
“Damn. That was some really bad vertigo,” you murmured.
Kenpachi tilted his head, craning his neck. “What?”
“I said—” you paused as the world tilted left.
Then, right.
Then, upside down.
“Hey—what’s wrong with you?!”
The last thing you remembered before blacking out is the warmth of large arms wrapping around you, and a string of curses that came from their owner.
✧ ˚ · .
Kenpachi ignored the biting winds whipping against his skin and the harsh summer heat bearing down on his back as he sped across mountains and plains. Sweat streamed down the frame of his face from the effort, slowing only against the rigid tension in his jaw.
Move, he thought.
Faster, he pleaded with himself.
Just get to them.
The last time Kenpachi had felt panic to such a degree was four years ago—when he had witnessed your unconscious form crumple to the hospital floor, unresponsive to his shouts. Your head had been cradled in his palm, mere inches from hitting the stone floor.
It took six hours for you to wake up, and by that time, Kenpachi had reached a new level of anxiety—one that he did not realize he was capable of. For some obscure and completely unknown reason, the captain who had never cared much about anything seemed to care way too much for a stranger. The feeling gnawed at him and made him uneasy. Such a person was dangerous. He should get rid of you, yet, as soon as you began to lose your balance, his first and only instinct was to catch you—to protect you.
But this time, he may be too late.
Kenpachi shook that paralyzing thought out of his head and pushed himself to even quicker speeds. Solid surroundings turned to vertical blurs as he cut through forests and lakes in his haste.
As the sky shifted to black and the air grew cold, he finally slowed to a stop. Kenpachi found himself at the edge of a familiar cliff overlooking miles and miles of flat fields. On them, rested hundreds of stone pillars and ruins of a broken city. A vast civilization that once flourished—-now eroded by time’s decay, leaving only rotted land and torn buildings.
Where…?
Kenpachi screamed your name. The only answer he got back was the faded echo of his own voice.
A soft scuffle sounded behind him.
It was not you. Kenpachi knew this and pulled his blade out, as fast as lightning and deadlier by tenfold. The ragged metal glinted underneath the moon’s glow as it pointed at its victim, the tip mere millimeters from the hollow of Ikkaku’s throat.
“Captain. We’re here to help,” Ikkaku announces. If he was threatened by Kenpachi, he did nothing to let it show.
Behind Ikkaku stood the entirety of Kenpachi’s squad. All of whom were drenched in sweat and breathing heavily, sharing the same grim expression of determination.
“If you come back with empty hands, you will die with empty hands,” Kenpachi promised in a low voice.
No one argued. No one complained. Squad 11 dispatched, ready to either bring you back to Kenpachi or forfeit their lives.
The captain ignored his squad members, and jumped straight off the cliff into the rubble below. The ground shook in protest underneath his heavy footsteps as he searched through stone caverns and collapsed wreckage in a crazed, feral frenzy, blind to everything but his desperate need to find you.
Rocks tumbled, dust flew into the air, and darkness crept its way alongside Kenpachi as the night aged. Hours and hours passed without a single sign of life.
Not one squad member had reported anything back to their captain since the search began.
A guttural roar ripped free from Kenpachi as he hit the peak of his rage and frustration. Sheer panic sliced through his bones. He dug through solid walls, fingernails broken and bleeding, calling out your name until it burned his throat to speak.
Think.
Kenpachi had to think. His mind was racing—a storm of jittering anxiety and distress. The thought of you was the only pillar of order in that whirling chaos.
You.
His doctor.
The one who promised to save him, always. Forever.
That day, he had silently vowed to do the same. He would not break that promise tonight.
With renewed clarity, the captain scanned the horizon, squinting at the darkness. His squad members roamed the land, yelling your name and searching. Kenpachi ignored them and focused, looking over each area with a critical eye.
A dull glint of something caught his eye. It peeked out from underneath a huge mass of crumbling granite that had fallen in place of what looked like the entrance to an abandoned mausoleum.
Kenpachi got closer.
The metal’s shape came into form. A familiar ring.
He bolted.
In one swift motion, Kenpachi had heaved the stone slab away, removing the only obstacle between him and what was on the other side.
Your broken body, bruised and caked with dried blood, laid there as still as a corpse. Your complexion was paler than the marble tiles you were found on, and your skin was so cold that it made Kenpachi shiver when he gently gathered you into his arms.
“Hey…” his voice had never been so quiet. He had never felt so small, so helpless.
You didn’t respond.
Kenpachi felt for a pulse, heart hammering, and almost collapsed in relief when he found one, albeit faint.
A few of the squad members realized what had happened and started to swarm, all having similar reactions of shock and fear.
“Is that…?”
“Oh god, do you think—“
“Get Mayuri here now!” Kenpachi barked out, interrupting the whispers and startling the soldiers back into action. They scrambled to locate the other doctor, leaving their captain and yourself alone by the tombs.
You still had not awoken.
“C’mon… Wake up… [name], wake up,” Kenpachi muttered, softly stroking your matted hair. His hands shook, fingers trembling as he kept you within his grasp.
After what seemed like lifetimes, but were probably only mere minutes, Mayuri came running, Ikkaku followed with a myriad of odd (medical?) aids in his arms.
“Damned… give them to me!”
A possessive, irrational streak reared its ugly head and Kenpachi almost refused, clutching you closer, until his senses knocked him straight. He relented, though not without reluctance.
Mayuri immediately got to work, and after a long stretch of tense waiting, he had stabilized you.
“[Name] will be fine, but we need to get them back to the city.”
At those words, the pressure in Kenpachi’s chest that had been present since the beginning of the whole ordeal finally lifted, and he felt like he could breathe again.
He would chew you out later for being so stupid, but for now, he had you.
You were safe.
And that was the only thing that seemed to matter.

Deities/Deity-like Figures of Zelda
I've noticed a common trend in the Zelda community where most deities aside from the ones mentioned in Skyward Sword are rarely brought up or discussed, and I think that's really a shame. Hyrule is implied to be very polytheistic and has a multitude of less frequently mentioned gods and godlike beings. Here's a list of all the gods I'm aware of in alphabetical order, as well as a short description. Some of this will be based on my own headcanons and opinions, but if there's anything you want to add on or that I missed please let me know!
As an additional warning—This contains major spoilers for Majora's Mask, Skyward Sword, Link's Awakening, Phantom Hourglass, and Twilight Princess. Proceed with caution!
Cyclos
A wind god who creates cyclones, featured in The Wind Waker. According to The King of Red Lions, he bears some ill will towards humans, and will mock Link if he is trapped in one of his cyclones. After defeating him, Link receives the Ballad of Gales, which allows him to control cyclones. Cyclos's brother is Zephos, another wind god.
Demise
The ruler of demons, featured primarily in Skyward Sword. He tried to attain the Triforce, but was imprisoned by Hylia under a magical seal. He is permanently destroyed in Skyward Sword's present day, but his servant Ghirahim travels into the past and revives him using Hylia's spirit. He is defeated, and his consciousness is sealed into the Master Sword.
Din
The Golden Goddess of Power, primarily featured in Ocarina of Time. She appears in Oracle of Seasons as an oracle, and in Minish Cap as an NPC. She is mentioned or referenced in The Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword. Dinraal the dragon from Breath of the Wild is likely a reference to her, as well as a crest featured in Memory #1, but she is not directly referred to or featured in Breath of the Wild. Din along with the other Golden Goddesses created the world (or Hyrule, as is stated in Ocarina of Time, however we are assuming that Hyrule is referring to the entire world despite canonical countries outside of Hyrule), and left the Triforce behind.
Earth God
Mentioned in a learnable song in The Wind Waker, the Earth God's Lyric.
Farore
The Golden Goddess of Courage, featured primarily in Ocarina of Time. She appears in Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages as an oracle, and in The Minish Cap as an NPC. She is mentioned or referenced in The Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword, and the dragon Farosh in Breath of the Wild is likely a reference to her. Her symbol is on a Triforce crest in Breath of the Wild Memory #1. She, along with the other Golden Goddesses, created the world and left the Triforce behind.
Fierce Deity
A god featured in Majora's Mask. He is a powerful deity that assumedly was turned into a mask. Link can wear this mask to transform into the Fierce Deity.
Four Giants
Guardian Deities of Termina. Link's journey in Majora's Mask is to find and summon the Four Giants to prevent the moon from falling.
Frog Deities
Guardian deities of the Sheikah, featured in Breath of the Wild. The Sheikah and the Yiga will bring offerings to these deities and they are frequent around Sheikah and Yiga occupied areas.
Goddess of Time
Featured in Majora's Mask. As the moon falls down on Clock Town, Tatl cries out for the Goddess of Time to save them. This prayer may have been answered, as Link relearns the Song of Time to travel three days into the past.
Goddess of Sand
Featured in Ocarina of Time. The Desert Colossus is mentioned by Sheik to be a "goddess of sand."
Hylia
Featured in Skyward Sword and Breath of the Wild. Appointed to guard the Triforce, Hylia orchestrated the events of Skyward Sword as an attempt to stop Demise. While trying to save the surface world, she sent hylians to Skyloft while staying and fighting alongside the other races in an attempt to defeat Demise. She was then killed, and reincarnated years later in the form of a mortal girl, Zelda from Skyward Sword. In Breath of the Wild, she is a deity worshipped in most settlements. It is believed that women of the royal bloodline can pray to Hylia to unlock a sealing power. The Sheikah seem to revere her highly.
Light Spirits
Featured in Twilight Princess. The light spirits Ordona, Faron, Eldin, and Lanayru guard Hyrule "at the behest of the gods," and seem to reside at springs in their respective provinces. They prevented the Interlopers, the ancestors of the Twili, from using the Triforce and sealed them into the Twilight Realm. In the final encounter with Ganondorf, Princess Zelda calls (or even prays) for aid, and they provide her with Light Arrows.
Lord Jabu-Jabu/Jabun
A fish deity worshipped by the Zora in Ocarina of Time and Oracle of Ages. He eats the Princess of the Zora, Ruto, and is infected by a parasite that is defeated by Link. Jabun, who is likely related to him (or could possibly be him) is featured in The Wind Waker.
Malanya
A god of horses featured in Breath of the Wild. He functions similarly to a Great Fairy, living inside a large flower and needing to be revived. He is able to bring horses back to life, and will scold Link for letting them die.
Nayru
The Golden Goddess of Wisdom, featured primarily in Ocarina of Time. She is alluded to or mentioned in The Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword, she is an oracle in Oracle of Ages, and an NPC in the Minish Cap. The dragon Naydra is likely a reference to her, and her symbol is on a Triforce crest in Breath of the Wild Memory #1. She, along with the other Golden Goddesses, created the world and left the Triforce behind.
Oshus
Also known as the Ocean King, Oshus is featured in Phantom Hourglass. He is the guardian of a portion of the sea, and creates an realm that Link travels into.
The Seven Heroines/Eighth Heroine
Guardians revered and worshiped by the Gerudo at some point, first mentioned in Breath of the Wild. They all represent a different virtue: skill, spirit, flight, gentleness, motion, endurance, and knowledge. The Eighth Heroine is rumored to be worshipped by the inhabitants of the Gerudo Highlands.
Valoo
Guardian deity of the Rito in The Wind Waker. In order to grow wings, young Rito must climb to the top of Dragon Roost Island to obtain a scale from Valoo.
The Wind Fish
The creator of an illusory realm called Koholint Island featured in Link's Awakening.
Wind Waker Prologue Deities
Gods called upon by the people that flooded Hyrule with a magical sea. They are implied to be connected to the Triforce, however this is never confirmed.
Zephos
Wind god, and the brother of Cyclos in The Wind Waker. Zephos seems to reside around a small shrine near Dragon Roost Island, and the Wind's Requiem song located on his shrine will let Link learn to control the wind direction.

Probably finalized designs for my Chaos Quest au! I love how these look! I'm going to talk about it now because it plagues my mind every second. So if you want more info read below! vvv
--
Chaos Quest is my au of Sonic which is basically set in a fantasy rpg! These five are the main "heroes" of the story with other side stories that tie into the overall story. The gist is the Master Crystal has been shattered and a prophesied hero must gather them along with the 7 Chaos Crystals to unite the 7 kingdoms and defeat an evil darkness plaguing the land. Very tropey but I love rpg tropes. :)
Below is some basic info about each character. vvv
there are probably typos and weird wording because my proofreader isn't with me atm so bear with me

Backstory: found alone and unconscious on the beach of South Island, Sonic was adopted into the Prower family with Tails becoming his little brother. He remembers little, but doesn’t let that bother him much. Sonic and Tails enjoy helping other islanders with menial tasks and taking care of occasional monster appearances. Despite being a little bit anti-social, he loves helping his neighbors with inventions and testing them out by fighting monsters. He usually follows along with Sonic’s adventures, but some seem crazier than others.
He can be timid and anti-social but he is ready to help where he can. Despite his gentle heart he had a habit of giving sarcastic remarks. He is very intelligent, but lacks street smarts and is very naive about the world.
~Knuckles~
Class: Brawler

Icon element: earth
Backstory: After his parents died, Knuckles was left alone on the floating Angel Island. He takes care of the creatures and old ruins of his ancestors. His sole duty is to keep guard of the Master Crystal. He often prays and calls out to the spirits of the island but no one answers back. One day strange shadowy monsters attack the island and shatter the Master Crystal, causing the shards to scatter into the world. Without the Master Crystal, the island falls and Knuckles is left calling to his ancestors to find out what to do.
~Amy~
Class: Paladin
Weapon: Heart Smasher
Icon element: fire
Backstory: Amy grew up with a great sense of care for others, that’s why she joined the Heroes Guild. She often takes circumstances at face value and sometimes it can get her in trouble. She still takes every small task she can if she believes it will make a difference. When Sonic and his party arrive in Stella City, Amy convinces them to join her so she can ascend the ranks help them with their quest.

Steel in Her Veins, Chapter: Fifteen
Read On: AO3 | Table of Contents | Next Chapter
Characters: Fem!Reader x Roronoa Zoro
Tumblr media
Chapter Fifteen: Did You Watch Your Spine Run Away From You, Too?
Blood dances in your mouth like knocking back a shot of adrenaline. Your limbs twirl with the grace of a water nymph, the sword in your hand becoming a mere extension of your being; it exists simply to heighten your senses, your hand stretching like a branch burgeoning from a tree.
You slam yourself against Roronoa, feeling that sensation you’ve been craving – no, itching – for, for many months. The resonance of clashing steel reverberates through your teeth, nestling in your muscles and burrowing deep into your bones, and it feels like you’ve finally, finally, woken up from a long slumber.
With a predatory smile, you glance up at the samurai with shrewdness festering within your eyes.
Roronoa responds with a glare, a silent challenge etching in the furrow of his brow; then, with a subtle click of his teeth, he propels himself toward you, a cyclone of lethal intent.
But you already know how he fights. Silly samurai, for openly showing you his techniques.
With a deft dodge, you waltz around his piercing blow, and with a little tap to his shoulder, you watch him turn to you with an exceptionally dumbfounded look on his face.
A smile plays on your lips, your face dangerously nearing his.
“You’re powerful. But like a bull, you stagger,” you whisper, leaving a faint impression of words in the air, tucking them deeply into the pillowed silence.
You feel him breathe against your cheeks. His eye stares you down with as little irritation as he can express, his chest heaving.
“You’re not as devilish as you pretend to be, Roronoa,” you egg on harder, trying to elicit a reaction out of this rock of a person.
He pauses for a second, a silent eye flickering down on you. Blood stains his face, your previous winning blow striking crimson from the side of his mouth, and with slow, intentional movements, he proceeds to lick the stain away with his gaze steadfast on yours.
His response is a low grumble, a mixture of annoyance and wry humour. “Still standing, aren’t I?”
And without any hesitation, your arm glides through the air with the grace of an assassin’s pirouette, painting coldly across the canvas of wind.
Clang!
Both his and your hands tremble by the pressure of keeping one another at bay, where metal is on metal, where teeth are clenched, and lips are still bleeding.
“This isn’t getting either of us anywhere,” Roronoa snaps, pushing his sword deeper against yours. “I’m not here to play fucking games.”
“The least you could do is apologise to me,” you exhale, twisting your sword away from his crushing weight.
You circle each other, dancing around like two snarling predators.
"I won't say sorry for keeping us alive," Roronoa repeats, his voice cutting firmly into your skin.
With a sudden burst of speed, you whirl around him, the blade in your hand slicing through the air. Roronoa reacts with lightning reflexes, blocking your assault with a resounding clang of metal meeting metal.
You grit your teeth at his speed, and with a sudden burst of energy, you launch a series of rapid strikes, each blow aimed at breaking through Roronoa's defenses.
"You think I wanted to be saved by a coward?" The accusation lingers, a searing mark on the battlefield. “Where’s your spine? Did you watch that run away from you, too?”
Roronoa's eye narrows, a flicker of irritation crossing his face. The intensity of the spar reaches its zenith as you press on, pushing him to the brink.
In a burst of anger, Roronoa counters your onslaught with a powerful swing, attempting to turn the tide. The blades lock, the force sending a shockwave through your arms. The muscles strain, and for a moment, the world seems suspended in the dance of blades.
"You don't get it," he grumbles, a low growl escaping his lips.
With a sudden surge of strength, you manage to break the deadlock, your blade veering dangerously close to Roronoa. The controlled rage in his eye intensifies, his jaw locked tensely as he glares at you with resentment.
"I'm done here," he declares abruptly, withdrawing his sword and sheathing it with a sharp, deliberate motion. The sound of metal sliding into its scabbard cuts through the silence before he turns on his heel without even casting a parting glance towards you.
The gym falls into an eerie silence as Roronoa exits, his figure disappearing into the distance. Your breath steadies as you lower your sword, your gaze fixed on the spot where he was just moments ago.
When you're certain that he’s gone, and his footsteps no longer echo in the distance, the weight of the confrontation crashes down upon you. You collapse onto your knees, the sound reverberating through the wooden panels like a mournful symphony.
Tears, fat and heavy, spill down your cheeks as you gasp for breath. A sense of pathetic weakness envelopes you, a feeling you've always dismissed but now can't escape.
Pathetic. You’re pathetic.
Crying is for the weak, or so you’ve always believed. Someone like you has no space for weakness – you don’t have the liberty to, aren’t that lucky to be breaking down like this, to even entertain the notion of expressing pain. But in this silence, of the smell of blood and sweat and the strain of your constantly consuming anger, you can’t help it; the weight of everything collapses on you and in the first time in your life, you aren’t able to defend yourself with simply only your strength.
Deep down, you think, maybe you’re lashing out on Roronoa for other reasons. What he did was unforgivable, sure, but does he deserve to be reminded of it constantly? Are you mad at him for choosing the lesser of the two evils that were presented to him in that moment, or are you tainted by something else? You don’t know.
What you do know, is that moving into a pirate ship in less than a week and sailing directionless across the sea makes you feel overwhelming;y out of control. It's not just about the loss you've experienced; it's the prospect of yet another significant change weighing down on your sanity. You have no kin and no trust - only a small sense of hope.
Nami stumbles in through the doors with a sense of urgency in her steps, her arms heaving aggressively against the metal frame, and with a flicker of her eyes, she takes in your curled body on the floor and exhales sharply.
“Fuck.” She runs into a kneeling crouch besides you, her hands immediately caressing over your back and hair.
“Zoro had blood on his face,” Nami whispers, stroking your hair. “I had a bad feeling.”
You try to choke back the sobs, attempting to regain composure, but your body betrays you. Nami, with a heavy gaze, pulls you into a comforting embrace.
"You've been carrying too much on your own. It's okay to let it out,” she whispers.
“I don’t even know what I’m doing anymore,” you breathe out furiously, wiping the tears against the back of your hand. “I feel like I’ve lost control.”
Nami holds you tighter, her presence unwavering.
“Fuck everything. Fuck it all. You don’t deserve this.”
You let out a small, surprised laugh, shaking your head at her.
“Mmm, I dunno about that,” you mumble out.
With a crooked smile on her face, she looks down to you and takes in all the cuts that have been brandished across your face. She sighs, gingerly pressing over the ones that are still bleeding, her cold fingers soothing the sweat across your face.
"Why don’t we get you cleaned up?" She offers, extending a hand to help you rise. “I can lure you with some really good rum?”
You roll your eyes, not entirely worried about your injuries.
“I’m only standing up for the rum,” you say while placing a hand in hers, gently shifting yourself away from the floor.
As the two of you move to leave the gym, the world momentarily swirls around you when Nami abruptly halts, causing you to stumble backward with unexpected force.
With a quick response, you turn to her, a spark of alertness in your eyes.
"What’s wrong?”
Nami's gaze drops, fixating on the hands that remain intertwined. Her expression undergoes a startling transformation, a mixture of disbelief and a dawning horror, as if she has stumbled upon some profound revelation.
A nervous chuckle escapes your lips. “We’re just holding hands, Nami.”
However, her head shakes, not in dismissal, but with a gravity that suggests a deeper, more unsettling truth.
“No, Raya. Look at your hand.”
Confused, you follow her gaze downward, and the world seems to pause for an instant as you come face to face with a horrifying metamorphosis.
Your skin, once unblemished, now bears witness to a haunting glint across its surface. A surreal, iridescent wet layer of paint unfolds across your hand—a shimmering cloak of blackened blue and grey, reminiscent not of a bruise, but of cells dying and reforming within your flesh at an alarming pace. It undulates, each darkened hue pulsating with an ominous rhythm, casting a hollow glow that stains your precious blacksmith tools.
The air around you thickens. You and Nami continue to gape at the skin, her fingers gripped tighter across your palm, watching the colour spread further into your veins like ink bulleting across a plane of water.
