22/2/24

Today, I... got home right after giving the test. I gave the wrong date on it, but oh well, it doesn't matter. I finished reading a fanfic of Kazuscara: How to Bag an Idol. At first, I thought, why is this so famous???

The most marvellous work of fiction was revealed.

The writing was realistic in every way possible; it made me feel like the author had experienced all this first-hand. No words can't explain my amazement. I won't give any spoilers, but I will say that we see Kazuha and Kunikuzushi/Scaramouche as teenagers at the start. They spent their lives together with each other most of their teenage years. It felt like I was sharing the same timeline as them, and after a time skip, they were adults. The writing of them meeting up again was astonishingly spectacular.

Now, back to my day: After reading it, I realized how much people can do as teenagers. Just how much time have I been wasting? I can do lots to make memories just like they did. It made me feel less guilty to pursue my goals and hobbies. I am just a teenager, and I am allowed to spend my life enjoying it. My time may soon disappear, so I should make the most of it. Yes, school is necessary. I agree. As long as I keep my grades up, everything should be okay. I want to get first place; it feels impossible, considering my current performance at school, but I will try my best to achieve it. Just because I want to, not because my parents want me to.

I do want balance, well, not exactly 'balance'; honestly, I want more time to enjoy writing, learning Python, reading, gaming and even chores and cooking(which is very unlikely for me to do) compared to the time spent on schoolwork. I struggle with time management, as my sense of time is far from reliable. So, I decided to prioritize the most important thing I have to do for school and then do whatever I like; it doesn't matter when I do it as long as I do it in due time. If I'm feeling down, I may focus on schoolwork only if I have a test or an assignment due the next day.

I did only math and learned a bit of Python; I also played Genshin Impact. It was fun.
