KENCO si impegna a tenere lontano i giovani dalle gang

Kenco, uno dei marchi di caffè istanteneo più popolare nel Regno Unito e in Irlanda, si schiera dalla parte dei giovani Houndurenos educandoli a coltivare caffè in loco, per dar loro una prospettiva diversa rispetto alle gang criminali, che minacciano la vita dei ragazzi del luogo a causa della mancanza di opportunità.

Il progetto di Kenco è stato lanciato nel 2014 con la campagna “Coffee vs gang”, un breve video in cui viene mostrato il dilagare della criminalità nel tentativo di convincere i giovani a passare dalla violenza all'agricoltura.

I giovani che decidono di partecipare a questo progetto, frequentano un corso annuale di formazione per diventare coltivatori di caffè, apprendendo vere e proprie competenze per coltivare chicchi di caffè di grande qualità, infatti i primi studenti che hanno completato il percorso di studi Kenco sono riusciti a fondare una propria attività, grazie ai finanziamenti della torrefazione.

2019年12月22日になり、31歳の誕生日を迎えました。いつもお世話になっている皆様、本当にありがとうございます。生まれてきてから31年、起業家として活動してきて13年、今日もこうやって元気に健康に、そして自分らしくいられる事に心より感謝しています。

30歳最後の日は箱根の日帰り温泉にてゆっくりとした時間を過ごし、今は帰りの箱根ロマンスカーの中でこのエントリーをまとめています。

ここ1、2年、社会起業家として社会や事業や自分自身と向き合い、それらに没頭するあまり自分が今思っている事や感情を言葉や文章にする事が少し苦手になりました。昔よりもより一層複雑なメタファーを含むようになった私の思考に、私自身の語彙力が追いついていないと言った方が正確でしょうか、それとも新しい刺激や知識の咀嚼が追いついてないと言った方が正確でしょうか、とにかく自分の今の感覚を言葉に残して誰かに伝える事はとても重要だと言う事をわかっていながらも、それを怠ってきたことで皆様が知る私と、私自身が知る私の間に大きなギャップが生まれてしまった事を痛感しています。

さて話は私の振り返りに戻りますが、1年前の事が5年前の事のように感じるほど、この一年は本当に色々な事がありました。海外進出による価値観の変化(具体的には海外に出てみて日本経済やシステムを客観的に見れるようになりこれまでにはなかった価値観が生まれた。)、新しい出会いも、辛い別れも、勃興する新しい自分のアイデンティティの発現、新しいうねり、引っ越しも婚約も婚約破棄も…実に様々なことがありました。

この一年は自分自身の"野性"つまり、動物的に何が大事か、何をすべきか、誰と付き合うべきかをありのままに感じる力と、"全体最適"つまり、会社や組織の枠に囚われずに社会全体がより良くなるいわゆるソーシャルグッドを、SDGsと言うフィルターを通して包摂的に捉えて最適解を見つける力、この2つの力が養われた一年だったように思います。

── 前者の野性については言わずもがな私がこれまで6年近くに渡りトレイルランナーとして向き合っている自然界の中や、日々の坐禅の中で得られるものが多く、いい意味での自分の中での無力感や心が無になる感覚は私に謙虚さとありとあらゆる現象に対して感謝をする感受性をもたらしてくれます。

トレイルを一歩ずつ噛みしめながら走っていると自分が動物以外の何者でもないことを強く認識し、自然の壮大さと厳しさの前に自分はなんと無力かと言う事をヒシヒシと感じさせられます。

我々はそれが当たり前のように、自分の能力の一部かのようにテクノロジーを駆使しadd-onでそのテクノロジーが掛け合わさったものを”スキル”と錯覚していますが、2045年のシンギュラリティ(技術的特異点)を迎えた時にあなたのそのスキルは平準化されたものとなり、誤解を恐れずにあえて極端な言い方をすれば、その時あなたは無価値な存在となってしまうでしょう。

私はそうはなりたくないのです。自分自身の素体としての強さ、SNSや社会の様々な情報操作、大量の広告、誇張表現に惑わされない本来の自分自身の感情、そして”今”と向き合う事で、どこからどこまでが自分のオリジンで、それ以外のどの部分がテクノロジーに"生かされている"部分なのかを、しっかりと見極める事で、社会と向き合う時、会社と向き合う時、人と接する時の"自分本来のものさし"を心の中に常に持っていたいのです。

その結果自分自身ができることなんて本当にちっぽけで、本来自分はとても弱い人間だと言う事に気づき、周りの全てに感謝すると言う好循環が生まれるでしょう。

── 次に全体最適についてですが、まず私の中での日本の資本主義に対する嫌悪感は日々増すばかりです。この国の資本主義のイデオロギーはYESとNO以外の中間的な声を汲み取る事とは反対の場所にあり、あるパワーを持った人たちの声だけが反映される中央集権主義(セントラライズドシステム)のような仕組みになりつつあります。

今年実行された消費税の増税、年金問題、その他主な政策への国民の介入は「一票だけの投票」のみの権利が与えられ、組織票を組む事は非とされ、開示は一部に留まり多くの政策がブラックボックスの中で進められます。

そんな今の世の中に一矢報いるがごとく発展している市場がブロックチェーンひいては非中央集権(ディセントラライズド)市場ですが、既得権益を作りたい一部の有権者達に阻まれその市場拡大は低迷しているのが現状です。

これは組織においても言えることで、中央集権的にひとつの会社でアセットを共有する時代ではなくなりつつあり、会社の垣根を超えて適材適所でアセットが流動しているシーンが多く見受けられるようになりました。

例えばあるプロジェクトを実施する中で、会社の垣根を超えて人材が集まりNDAの範囲内で絶妙な議論を繰り広げる、会社外の人のリファレンスを重要視する、オープンイノベーションの一般化、社員の面談の際も「その社員が自分の会社でどう活躍できるか」と言う点の目線ではなく、「その社員が社会でどう活躍できるか？」を考えた結果”他の会社や組織ひいてはその人の最適化された生き方を推薦する”など。

また「会社のために君がどう在るべきか？」ではなく、「その組織にいる全員の人生の一部の中で会社がどう在るべきで、SDGsの達成にどう寄与していくか？」と言う論点が非常に重要で、2020年からはピラミッド型の従来の株式会社の構造からホラクラシーやティール組織と呼ばれる組織体制がマジョリティになっていく未来が加速し始めると確信しています。

私自身はこれらを野生の生態系の中で直感的に学んだ後、ありとあらゆる書籍や文献をインプットする事で自分の価値観として定着させるに至りました。

また私独自の視点としては、ティール組織とは最強の分散型組織であり、会社の垣根を超えたアセットのリクイディティが非常に重要であると言う点と、自分、会社、社会の先にどんなビジョンがあるのかと言う高い視点と、

「他人ごとを自分ごと」として考えれる強い責任感の醸成と、その責任感と表裏一体になってしまう”失敗のリスク”に対しての心理的安全性の確保が必要になってくると思っています。このあたりはまた別のエントリーで詳しく話せたらなと思います。(そして後者は一般的なティール組織論でしたね、すみません。)

自分が最近考えていることをツラツラと書いてみたら、まったく誕生日の振り返りと関係ないエントリーになってしまいましたね。それもまた私らしいと言うべきでしょうか。最後に最近出会ったチャールズ・ダーウィンの言葉を紹介してクロージングとさせて頂きます。
