After Ted kills the other humans, he becomes the sole target of AM’s torture; he is turned into an amorphous creature unable to harm itself, without a mouth, and has his perception of time continuously accelerated and decelerated, with his only hope for escape being when AM finally stops functioning, potentially thousands of years later."

The Creature (Frankenstein) "When the Creature created by Victor Frankenstein felt that happiness was out of his reach, he made it his life’s purpose to torment his creator. In the Creature’s own words: “Have a care: I will work at your destruction, nor finish until I desolate your heart, so that you curse the hour of your birth."

He carries out this threat by killing Victor’s loved ones one by one, driving him to repeated suicide attempts and mental breakdowns until he’s institutionalized for insanity. Even after he’s released the killings continue, until Victor forsakes civilization to spend the rest of his life trying to stop the creature. Most vital to the concept of Desolation is that the Creature won’t let Victor die: he even will leave food out in secret when he’s starving, because he doesn’t want the emotional and physical torture to stop.

The Creature’s first turn towards destruction is to burn down the house of the family that turned on him, but he is a great example of the all-too-rare desolation of ice: in wanting to further escalate his creator’s suffering, he leads their chase to the Arctic to intensify the physical pain on top of the rest. This last choice went just too far, and Victor dies of illness and fatigue in the cold. The Creature’s final words are realizing that—just as many avatars do—he had fed on his own misery as much as any others."

Ashes O'Reilly (The Mechanisms) "Ashes became a Mechanisms after being betrayed a left locked in a burning building to die. Their Mechanisms is their lungs, which were replaced after the fire and smoke inhalation destroyed them. Ashes came back for revenge and burned down their entire homeworld. Burning whole inhibited planets is not a one-time thing, as they do so again in Ulysses Dies At Dawn and presumably has a habit of doing so with other planets as well. Their death is being sent to the end of time, where they set themselves ablaze as the last point light in a dying universe."

Desolation synopsis

Fire. Burning wax, boiling water, melting flesh. Singed paper. Singed hair. A fire you can't see, that destroys you anyway. A burning desire, engulfing you like flame. Smoke, ash, charcoal. Something you can never get back.

The desolation is so underrated. fire is so beautiful, its so much more than just chaos and destruction

Corruption synopsis

Rot. Insects. Disease. It lives under your skin. Mycelium burrowing in, eggs laid underneath, plague spreading through the blood. Fungi, mold, slime. Wasps, maggots, flies. Boils, pus, rashes. But it loves you. And it consumes you. Isn't that love?

Propaganda

A sweet living mandala of maggots and bones bleached white long ago. They feast and writhe and feast and die, what a blessed life they live. One could be consecrated into their order, although you cannot become a member. To me Mag 34 was kind of funny. The way they just took their hearts out and casually asked if it was normal. If you don’t listen to tma, it’s better than it sounds (it’s not). Mag 19 and 20 aren’t talked about enough. That priest got screwed over so badly by half of the entities and it was a two parter. Imo the peak of season 1. He also appeared in mag 8 burned out and in someone else’s statement. It just kind of connected all together and I loved that. Discuss your opinions in the comments 👍
