If I had a nickel for every time Agents of SHIELD dropped a seemingly dead, super powered character into the ocean while showing their abilities possibly preserving their life, and then never following up on it, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

My whole body shivers as I slider down the Skyscraper. I check my Web shooters again. This time I heated not only the shooters but also the web mixing. Let’s hope they don’t freeze this time.

New York is silent as I jump from building to building. The snow falls off in clumps and shrouds me from the meager street lamps. I leap off the building and sling my self to Central Park.

At least Dr. Simmons could give me a rough location.

The tree I wing on snaps, like in half. I plummet down to the snow, the landing was for from soft. The snow cracks under my force.

“Oww,” I shift over to my wide and cough a few times before pulling my self up. I decide to walk the rest of the way. I walk quickly on the ice, shivering as I go.

After while I finally hear a sound that’s not my breath and the wind. Like a mechanical hum I get closer. I sneak along something that might be bushes

The guy stands there. Donald Gill, just a few years older than me. He isn’t even wearing a hat, he seems rather unbothered. But next to him is a huge chunk of metal pulsing out blue light.

“Just destroy that and your done, simple enough.” I shrug and glance at my knife, hopefully not.

Finally, we have Iron Man! You might be calling shenanigans, this figure has appeared in a set or two before today, it’s not new! That’s true, I got this figure around the end of November. I simply didn’t feel like taking toy pics at that time. The recent glut of Marvel cartoon inspired toys made me backtrack to snap some pics for this.

This figure actually pulls double duty, acting as both a cartoon AND MvC inspired Tony. The cartoon influence even extends to the alternate head with red eyes and mouth, which is from the first season of the show. Mine has a small molding error on the chin, which is a little frustrating. Thankfully, that’s my less preferred head since I always thought that look was a little dorky.

Speaking of dorky alternate looks, check out that mullet! Even Tony wasn’t immune to the ‘90s. The MvC inspiration comes from the effects parts and that big ass PROTON CANNON. The cannon itself is a beast, but I wish the blast effect were a bit more impressive. One more nit is that I wish the eyes on the mouthless head were red or black rather than blue. It’s not a big deal, but it’s enough for me to complain about.

I loved the previous modular Iron Man, but I always worried about how it would hold up over time. Hasbro’s swirly metallic plastic always feels frailer than the usual materials used for their toys. My metallic Iron Man was even showing cracks around the neck from usage. So I’m happy to have this figure in a sturdier form. Those bright colors are so pretty too.

Mikey; secondary mutation fox, there fav color is pink and they're very sneaky. Second youngest 12. They/them no gender label. Aromatic pansexual 3'11

Donny; secondary mutation is red tailed hawk he cant fly but can see thing really far away and needs glasses so he can see things that are close. Dose boton twirling. 12 he/they/ pronouns beyond flesh speaking capabilities agender n aroace. Second oldest 4'8

Raph; secondary mutation axolotl, can breathe underwater if she didn't hurt her gills recently. Youngest likes sneaking into buildings that her being taken down and smashing things. She/her trans woman lesbian. 3'10

Splinter; is 1 feet tall and posed by the ghost of homato yoshi. Doesn't really care who wins the custody battle as long as his with his children and there are safe and happy

Kranng n shredder; made the Turtles and are divorced n in a custody battle for them.

Welcome to the Tournament of the hottest boy band members of the 80s/90s

It was inspired by all the tournaments pitting famous beautiful people versus famous beautiful people of specific eras and specific jobs. The polls should start on the 8th of April, leaving around two weeks for submissions. I’ve compiled a list already but you can submit other boys that aren’t on the list through a google form. “What’s a bout Donnie Boy?” I call as a pop out of the bush, I shoot my red hot webs all over his body to pin him down as I advance. He topples to the ground stunned.

His face is blank confession as he struggles against the web. I feel bad cause I know that proably burns but… I shake my head and my my way to the machine. The thing is bigger than li thought.

“Be a dear and tell me how to turn it of Donnie Boy.” I grunt as I take my knife out. Maybe just unscrew it? My knife touches the machine and shatters. “Well shit.” My breath starts fogging up my mask. “Gonna help?” I turn around again and, he’s blue. That’s not good.

I dash away from the machine and to his side. The webbing starts splintering, his whole body is turning to ice. He snaps through the webbing and reaches to my throat. I flip out of the way and rush back to the machine.

I launch my self up and bring my arms down on the metal. The whole thing caves in like a cheap wooden table. My arms burn from the cold and my fingers feel like they are going to snap. A cold blast shots out of the machine knocking down trees all around us.

Gill approaches raising up his arm, a chunk of ice hurtles towards me. I dodge it and shot a string of webs at his arms. They stick for a bit but shatter away moments later.

“Come on Donnie Boy,” I plead. “You don’t wanna do this.”

The other day, I read a fic called "Two by Two" (or something along the lines) where both Leonardo and Raphael were humans but both Donatello and Michelangelo are mutant turtles (Hamato Yoshi is still a giant rat in this) and it depicts that, despite being (somewhat) weaker comparing to the other boys, Leonardo and Raphael makes it their personal goal in protecting the two from the horror this world got to offer.

While leaving for topside, Leonardo makes sure he scouted the area thoroughly, make sure that it's safe, etc— and absolutely forbad the two getting involved in any fights although both he and Raphael are vigilantes themselves.

So I harnessed an idea.

Introducing my AU: Skewered Two

Both Donatello and Michelangelo are a product of Kraang experiments and neither of them knew of their origins— whether or not they are originally humans or animals (or aliens) are a mystery yet to unravel. They looked human, but they were complimented with animal-like characteristics.

Donatello has wings— like, a whole 3 set of wings. One set is portruding from his ankle, one on his back (the biggest one) and one from his head. Otherwise, he would've looked human; with pale complexion, red eyes and pale brown wavy hair. His animal is a dove.

Michelangelo has gills— there's gills portruding from his arms, legs and head. Scales are littered, but he wasn't covered with it. He has tails. He would've looked human. His animal is an axolotl.

Both Leonado and Raphael are humans. Yoshi is still a rat.

Shenanigans ensues.

I feel like I know this story. Like, maybe I follow it?? Or I used to?? And it hasn’t been updated in a little while or somethin’??

Future addition: I meant to respond to this way sooner, but then I went looking for this Two by Two and totally forgot about this ask. I’m so sorry, but you mentioned something familiar! A fanfic of all things! Sadly, I never found it but now I wanna go searching again-

Skewered Two sounds awesome!

I’m addicted to protective Leo&Raph fanfics. The idea of them being the weaker brothers of these winged/gilled mutants and still feeling the distinct needs to protect already has me craving some content to snack on. Ah, well.

Imagine Donnie being able to fly but having no way to do it tho! Like, Mikey could technically go for swims and embrace his nature, but flying around has to be risky. A rooftop is easier to duck down and hide on than the nights sky. Any human looks up and he’s straight busted. I wonder how often the wings get in the way, with clothes and what not… Mikey’s tails/gills too…

Mikey’s an animal, but with Donnie being partly human-looking, doesn’t that mean he’s so insanely close to being what he needs to be to fit in, but can’t fit the quota? Acceptance always is just out of reach… But perhaps, he’s more interested in focusing on their mystery past. I bet they get in a lot of trouble that their bros gotta bail them out of while finding answers.

I wonder how Splinter being a rat fits into all this…?

I don’t know if you’re the same person who shared your AU with Karai & Donnie as Shredder’s golden children and Mikey the oddball who befriends the ‘enemy’/future fam, but I love all the content!

Even if it never comes into fruition, I appreciate the sneak peeks into these different worlds! Thank you!

Hello!!!! Thank you for the interest, I don’t have commissions open at the moment—but I am hoping to soon, once I figure out some things. (I have wanted to do commissions but I often get overwhelmed with figuring out payment methods, if I need a business license etc.) I will be sure to let you know if I get commissions set up :]

And thank you so much, I would love to talk about River!!!

She’s my mutant-sona for Rise of the Tmnt, and was a human mutated to be part white-tailed deer by one of Draxum’s oozesquitoes. Her power from that mutation is growing and controlling plants. (She can grow any plant if she knows what it looks like.)

She was then mutated a second time with split gill mushroom dna (although she attacked the oozesquito with a venus flytrap and was only partially mutated.) Because the mutation wasn’t as complete, River can’t really control her second set of powers—which are ghost-like abilities. She can float, turn transparently purple, shrink, and summon a misty substance. However, these things tend to happen when River’s stressed, scared, or sad and can be hard to stop. They are more of a hindrance than a power most of the time. River was an aspiring children’s book author and illustrator, and had come to New York, from California, to pitch one of her ideas. After the whole being a mutant situation though, she lost the confidence to push on with that dream. She was homeless for a while, and grew lots of small gardens for fellow people living on the streets. Later, she meets Todd, and they become friends, and she moves into the woods near him. She’s friendly towards the turtles, though it takes some time for her to feel comfortable around them, since she’s a pretty quiet and anxious person and they are vigilantes basically and are so full of reckless energy. She connects with Mikey over a shared love of art, sews little accessories for Raph’s plushies, enjoys Leo’s jokes, and grows exotic plants for Donnie to study. After the movie, she and Todd both spend time supporting them and their family as they recover.

River does not get along with/is very scared of most of the mutant villains, but does kind-of accidentally befriend Hypno and Warren. When she first meets them, she finds a lost and trapped Warren (I have a headcanon that he gets lost every once and a while, being so small) and helps him get back to Hypno. Seeing them together, River instinctively feels that they are safe people. (Of course, they’re not safe really, even though they don’t mean her any harm. But River can be a little too trusting when her anxiety calms down.)

She meets them again when she is running a flower stand at the hidden city, and they become repeat customers.

Then, after she hears about the run-in they had with Draxum (in Warren and Hypno Sitting in a Tree) she goes to check in on them. After that they meet up every once and a while to visit and play board games. (At this point, she knows they are thieves, but isn’t judging that since being a mutant makes getting by really hard. She doesn’t know they have tried to kill the turtles.)

However, later on she ends up getting in the middle of a fight between Hypno and the turtles. She is devastated to learn that Hypno and Warren would put people’s lives in danger, especially since the turtles are kids. (Superheroes basically, but still kids.)

River avoids Hypno and Warren for a while after that, but when Hypno goes missing before Battle Nexus New York, Warren calls River and she comes to try and help.

She ends up giving friendship with them another chance after hearing about how Hypno helped Donnie (and how Warren helped April save the turtles from his twin in that unaired episode).

[This intersects with an AU of mine (though River is more of a minor character in the AU), that I’m working on but haven’t posted much about yet, where Hypno and Warren get a redemption arc. (It seemed like they were leaning that way in the show too.) Once River knows that Hypno and Warren have been enemies of the turtles, she’s only really willing to be friends when they start working towards setting things right.]

After the movie, River trusts Hypno and Warren when they say they didn’t know what that artifact was and remains their friend as they grapple with the guilt of being part of that disaster.

River had a flower stand at a marketplace in the hidden city, while Todd sold lemonade nearby. (He gives most of it away though, and doesn’t end up working there for long.) River works her flower stand for a year or so and then switches to creating flowers and plants for someone’s (a yokai oc who is a work in progress, maybe a kirin?) shop. She still helps with arranging flowers etc, but it’s less stressful.

When it comes to other people River gets to know, there’s a few yokai working at the market that are nice to her. She enjoys when April is around when she visits the turtles, and River likes to listen to some of Splinter’s stories. Casey Jr. has joined her and Todd on nature walks sometimes. She doesn’t really know Bullhop or Casey Sr. She always loves visiting with Franken-Foot. And she gave Harold a new little corpse flower plant.

River can barely tolerate Draxum. If she’s around him for much time at all, little thorn bushes will start growing near her. She has found out though, that she can take control of the vines he grows.
