#so as ive talked abt before i cant put external links in the descriptions of my youtube videos because of copyright strikes- #-i got seven years ago. so i decided to bite the bullet like ok fuck it i'll give them a photo of my ID to get advanced features back #1. Reminder that not everyone can get their drivers license within the time frame deemed "socially acceptable". Sometimes it takes extra time for financial reasons, physical health reasons, mental health reasons, accessibility reasons, lack of support reasons, etc. It's a difficult process and it's completely acceptable to not get it on your 16th birthday, or to not get it at all. There's nothing to be ashamed of and I'm tired of people being judgemental towards adults who don't have their licenses.

Absolutely ECSTATIC to report that I am two months seizure free today!! 🥳🎊✨️

This is the longest I've gone without a single seizure since I was fifteen years old. I've been working with my therapist, taking my medication as prescribed, and have been practicing coping mechanisms and learning to recognize my cues. I'm actually feeling better, and I never thought that would happen.

I know a lot of Europeans wonder why America doesn’t utilize round-a-bouts more readily, but I’m just here to tell you it’s none of the more complex reasons you’ve come up with. It’s simply because our permit and license tests are JOKES and they will literally give a license to almost anyone. I’m not kidding or exaggerating.

Our Permit test is a roughly 20 question exam that consists of mostly “what is the legal limit for drinking and driving,” and “when is it most dangerous to drive when raining?” There are very few, if any, questions about the rules of the road, sign meanings, or defensive driving. Most people can do their permit test, unmonitored, online; and therefore, can easily cheat. Our actual license tests? Much, much worse. For mine, I drove around a zero-traffic, one-way backroad. That was it. My brothers who got their licenses in the pandemic? They got in their car, drove around the DMV parking lot twice while the lady watched, and that was that.

The reason we don’t do round-a-bouts is the same reason aggression and road rage is on the rise in this country: they don’t actually check if you’re qualified to drive before they let you, so they have to idiot proof everything, and then idiot proof some more, only for some moron to prove they didn’t idiot proof enough; and unfortunately, round-a-bouts require advanced and intelligent decision-making skills, which the majority of Americans aren’t required to have before earning their licenses.
