i know there’s a million things that we all want to see in season 2 of ofmd, but i want rhys darby to make weird sound effects during a fuckery. like that should be a skill that stede uncovers and uses to his advantage. can you imagine getting raided by THEE blackbeard and his absurd little paramour only to hear this:
i think david needs to know that the fandom would be absolutely thrilled if we just got two seasons of edede fluff and light hijinx aboard the revenge whist ed and stede build their life together
here’s a sneak peek of the project i’m currently working on:
Someone screams.
It’s a high-pitched, shrill noise of pure terror, dread crawling into the hearts of whoever hears it. In the previously quiet deck, it spreads like a fire, consuming everyone’s attention, seeming to shake the ship by its core, filling it with a dread not once known to man. The firing squad lowers their weapons, the British officers lean on the rail, the crew is left unsupervised for a moment.
Stede can’t see what’s happening, but he knows it must be something serious, because, suddenly, everyone is screaming, too, sobbing, even.
Were the British attacked? Was the Revenge under attack?
“Gentlemen of the English Navy,” he hears Ed’s voice, booming and proud. “It is my immense pleasure to announce that you… are completely fucked.”
Chaos breaks on deck. There’s screaming and shouting and fighting, and someone is dragging Stede away from it all. He trips over the steps down into the ship, but whoever is leading him on catches him, pushes him into one of the rooms. They untie his hands, and remove his blindfold.
It’s Lucius, shaking slightly, paler than a sheet. He looks like he’s about to throw up. There are tear tracks on his face.
“What happened?” Stede asks.
“The Kraken made the British ships capsize,” Lucius says, voice trembling as much as he is.
just so you guys have an idea, the working title of this is “ofmd sucker for love edition”. so. prepare yourselves for a ride.

Summary:
“But Blackbeard, Stede? I thought you were exaggerating!”
Forgetting to be slightly offended, Stede shot a look over his shoulder in protest.
“He’s hardly as bad as he’s made out to be,” he objected. “Look, he and Doug already have a secret handshake.”
Stede glanced back over his shoulder at a pale-faced Doug seeming to accept the sweet embrace of death as Ed tried and failed to explain how exactly one accomplished a fist bump.
in which stede brings ed home for his occasional visit home, ed meets the family, etc. domestic fluff and healing ensues
In the same vein of Ed trying to put together fancy things for Stede,
One night he tries to organize a fancy dinner for the two of them. He even wants to cook the food, because he can do anything! Roach watches him in fear as Ed follows his instructions on how to make the food. There’s a couple close calls and a few dishes may be over seasoned, and a few over cooked, but it’s good!
Then comes trying to arrange the table. He and Stede had been over the damn spoons so many times but he still had trouble especially being the one placing them. Spoons are definitely out of order but he is VERY confident he got it just right.
