Today’s musical Christmas song is an entire musical "slime tutorial": Elf!

Based on the movie of the same name, the musical does a pretty good job of retelling the story and adding songs as appropriate. It's certainly a better adaptation than another musical I could name (coughthegrinchcough) but not quite as good as an other-other musical also starring a green outcast (coughshrekcough).

tl;dr: If you've ever unironically quoted "Santa! I know him!" this musical won't disappoint.

Dancing Auditions

Dancing auditions are not really the ones they go off of, but I. Did. Terrible.

I am horrible at choreography already and could not follow with what she was teaching (we had 30 minutes to learn it) And I was the first group who had to do their dancing audition 😭 I was in a group full of a bunch of also clueless kids and I did not remember the dance. But like honestly I’m fine with that I did what I could and at least I got it over with.

as someone doing elf the musical...i do have to say. its a Lot! there are some very Weird lines. i think the one the post was referencing was "we've only been to one pole / but you still might be bipolar / because we're just so happy all the time!" (among others are "when they sing until they're bluish santa wishes he were jewish", "if he were any sweeter we might end up diabetic")
