🩷 What is the sweetest thing they've done for one another?

Just staying in touch like they did, even after learning that they were related, with a tacit acknowledgement that they wouldn't be kept apart, and without any willingness to put a name on their peculiar relationship.

🖤 What is their biggest regret in their relationship so far (or in the future, if you don't mind giving spoilers)?

Ash is a broody soul, and is full of regrets about what he should or should not have done. Out of the two, he's the one who doubts. He regrets having gone too far with Sam. There was no way either of them could have known, but it changed something for him and he wonders if he will always be broken.

Sam doesn't look back. She never regretted anything with regards to Ash.

💋 What is their favorite place to kiss their partner? Do either enjoy 'leaving a mark'?

Okay, so first of all... Sam and Ash's relationship is a difficult one to define. When they did kiss, it was under rather tense circumstances and Sam was the one to initiate it. Ash is clearly uncomfortable with kissing (but has no issue with hugging). Sam is much more tactile, and has physical urges that Ash doesn't have. They will need to sort it out, and define better what they expect from the other. We'll get to that (hopefully!), but for now... anything other than a chaste kiss is out of the equation, let alone "leaving a mark".

For Nate & Ivy

💛 What are their favorite activites to do together?

They both enjoy playing pool. That is the first thing that they did the night they met, and also how they reconnected after all that they've been through.

And then... sex. The instant chemistry they had when they were young has never gone away. They don't spend that much time together outside of the bedroom, but once they're in bed, everything just clicks. They do a lot of pillow talk too, that's their moment to share what's on their mind: when they're both literally naked.

For Erik & Laurie

🤍 What is their favorite or most admired quality in the other?

Erik admires Laurie and everything that he’s become despite all the challenges. He has always believed in him, and seeing him standing at the top, using his brains and his charisma to their full potential, is a source of pride for Erik.

Laurie loves Erik’s steadfast belief in his own justice. His single-mindedness can make him look naive sometimes but Laurie knows that Erik is wiser than people give him credit for.

🫦 What's something seemingly innocent that the other does, says or wears that turns the other on?

Watching Laurie being bossy, including to him, is a sure turn-on for Erik. Especially since he knows that in bed, roles are reversed.

Erik will easily go shirtless without second thoughts, but Laurie is far from being indifferent to seeing him half-naked.

For Anh and Laurie

🍭 What's something they can never agree on (big or small)?

That question is spot-on for them: it is kind of obvious that Anh has an issue with criminals and law breakers. Despite what she has seen of him and what she still has to learn about him, Laurie’s career path will always be irreconcilable with Anh’s values.

writing hasn't been going that well this past week, so everything has slowed down a little

barely something for BTVAFTV (god this is so long lmao) chapter 2 (Shireen)

She holds her blaster to his head.

“Who are you?”, she breathes out. “Where am I? How did I —” She can barely croak out the rest of her question. The cold is pulling the air out of her lungs, and she can feel her insides freezing.

also picked Luna's story up again, this one's definitely longer (that little oneshot with Luc incited me ig) this is still pre-av*ngers

Luna takes the blue glowing cube out of its containment, which is accompanied by a faint hiss.

It feels surprisingly light, almost like a feather. And it is radiating with energy. Though, this one feels different from anything she’s ever encountered before. The base energy is unlike that of her own, but oddly enough it creates some form of synergy with hers. So much so that it doesn’t affect her the same way it does other people. Granted, the others don’t have any psychic powers, but energy certainly can clash.

Her eyes widen. “This is pure energy.” And yet, somehow, it’s contained within itself.

“Precisely”, Coulson says. The crinkles around his eyes giving away his amusement at Luna’s childlike wonder for the cube.

“Where did you get this from? It’s not human-made.”

“No. It was found alongside Steve Rogers.” He hands her the files regarding the man out of time. “Originally used by Hydra, though its origins are without doubt extraterrestrial.”

After browsing through the information regarding Captain America, Hydra and the Tesseract, Luna tilts her head, “So, you want me to do what exactly?”

“Figure out how to utilize the Tesseract for unlimited sustainable energy.”

Something feels iffy. Since when is Shield interested in something like sustainability?

If there’s one thing she’s learned in all those years working for the secret organization, it’s to never take anything as it is. Unfortunately, trust is a luxury unaffordable in this business. While she does believe Coulson would never lie to her, he might not know about everything going on either. Her shoulders go tense.

“That’s it?”, she asks deadpanned.

Rumlow snorts, “That’s it? What, like it’s that easy?”

“I do firmly believe that Ms Richards is more than capable of taking on this task. She’s the best we have. I wouldn’t be here otherwise.”

In any other given situation, Luna would have been more than flattered but she pays his compliment no mind. “Not what I meant.”

While his expression remains fairly neutral, something in Coulson’s posture shifts. He drops his head as he exhales. Then his eyes move to look at her again. “I assure you, this is our sole intention. As I said, you are the best in the field. What you’re implying isn’t exactly your field, now is it?”

She drops her shoulders, her eyes roaming the Tesseract that’s still sitting in her gloved hand. She puts two fingers on the cube and slowly drags them over it. Almost as if she were touching a sky full of stars.

Luna is usually head over heels for new challenges. However, something tells her she should trust her gut. What would her dad do? He’d certainly see it as an opportunity. But thanks to her mom, he also learned to never blindly trust organizations that work with the government.

“Under one condition, I’ll be in charge of the project”, she states.

Coulson wants to agree but Luna interrupts him before he can speak. “And, I’ll work on it alone.”

In hopes of shedding the skin she couldn’t stand to look at anymore. The scars being the reward she received for the atrocities she had to commit for the people who fed her with nothing but cruelty. The acts of violence she doesn’t even remember.

“Just when I thought the pain finally stopped, it comes back to haunt me again. I've already been buried in the ground the day I was born. How much further down can it all push me?” she says, her voice dry and hoarse from crying for so long.

“Why didn't you do it?”, she blurts out after a moment of silence.

Simon remains silent. Whether he doesn't know how to answer or simply doesn't want to answer, she can't tell.

She decides to be a little bit more specific and turns her head to look at him. “Why didn't you kill me?” He turns to her ever so slightly, barely moving a muscle. But as his eyes meet hers, she can feel her own starting to burn again. Tears forming at the corners

🍭 What's something they can never agree on (big or small)?

Letting the other put himself in danger. Accepting that it's not their decision to make.

🍰 What is 'their song'? Officially or unofficially.

They don't have one song, but several depending on where they stand in their rocky relationship.

The song I listened to the most while I was writing the scene in which they get together is "Losing My Mind" by David Nevory. It doesn't entirely fit them, because the song tells a different story from theirs, but the chorus is absolutely on point. I was literally influenced by the lyrics as I wrote the dialogues.

That being said, I've recently been listening to the perfect song for them at this exact moment in the story: "TIMEZONE" by Måneskin.

I'm hoping to bring them someday to "Kiss Me" by Dermot Kennedy. :3

For Nathaniel and Ivy:

🫦 What's something seemingly innocent that the other does, says or wears that turns the other on?

Ivy doesn't wear bras (or rarely). That habit is not entirely innocent, and she knows that men notice it, but she mostly hates feeling compressed.

Talking about clothes: Nate's clean-cut suits that hug all the right places are definitely to a big turn-on for Ivy.

🥂 What does a night out look like for them?

You can actually see them on a date on the night of Ivy's birthday. :) They like booking an entire place for themselves (even if in the scene above, Ivy was the owner!).

For Laurie and Anh:

🍬 Who is their biggest supporter (friend, family, etc)?

I'm afraid that they have none. :( But no one actually noticed the sparks between them, except for Shu (and she's very much an objector). If I had to guess though... I think Omar would not only notice, but also approve. He'd think it's a clever move on Laurie's part.

(Side note: Omar is ten thousand miles from guessing what's happening between Laurie and Erik. To him, they are close, for sure, and they don't always see eye to eye, which creates tension, but he just can't imagine that this could hide something more... intimate)

🤍 What is their favorite or most admired quality in the other?

They both recognize each other's brainpower. Aside from that, Laurie admires Anh's bravery, particularly since she's an outsider to his world. And Anh can't help but liking the fact that Laurie listens. Like, truly listens.
