hey! since the poll ended a while ago, i would like to give my two cents in-

If the general public or the twin's social circle found out about their relationship, how badly would everyone react? Would it be like a pre-HOM situation where everyone is tryna persecute the maximoffs? how would the kids (Billy, Tommy, & Luna) play a role in all this? (and yes, let us all finally acknowledge that these three kids are (long-lost) siblings) #sc*arletv*s*on fans feel free to rage hehehe

In their close social circle I dont know how many people are actually shocked. But suspecting something youd never say outloud and being publically told it are different. It would be a negative reaction generally. I feel like superheros have got better things to do than actually attack them for it, exclude, sure, make nasty comments about, some people probably, but no ones gonna try and arrest them I dont think (definitely not pre-HOM 'maybe we should kill them' ideas). As Toby's said, Wanda's friends might be worried about her, especially those of them that dont like Pietro. But none of them are likely to accept it comfortably if she tells them she's happy. She might get quietly pushed out.

Now its different if the general public find out (who have less reason to already think it). That'll cause a lot of outrage, and the angry crowd will always be louder than the crowd that don't care. That demands a PR response and some of the other heroes would be obliged to either publicly denounce them, argue that its fine and there should be no legal consequences (unlikely), or argue that the evidence is fake.

Frankly Wanda and Pietro should probably be arguing that the evidence is fake. I imagine Wanda would just pretend nothings happened and try and go about her life. A lot of her social circle who were already doing the same about their suspicions might continue to. I can see a lot of the avengers doing that, especially if she's still working with them cuz she's a big asset as well as a friend. But the xmen and that lot, the periphery social circle, who like her less, are much more likely to take the opportunity to attack her.

Pietro doesnt have a lot of friends to lose. Or a lot of good public rep. I do think he'd tailor his general response to fit with Wanda's even if he wanted to tell everyone to go fuck themselves. I see Wanda wanting to keep out of the spotlight (this isnt a wrong of hers to earnestly take accountability for and make right, it's one of the most important things to her heart that people want to insult), and Pietro taking the spotlight for them if she thinks either of them should make a public statement. He'd get in a lot of scuffles about it, especially if people are saying unkind or crude things about Wanda to him to goad him about it. Magneto is more likely to be his problem, either gonna deny it or blame pietro but almost certainly deny especially publicly. Maybe hed try and set Wanda up with other people he approves of more like in ultimates lol.

Wanda wouldnt want to stop doing her helping people job even if the people were horrible. I cant see her running off with Pietro to live away from any hate really, even if he might prefer that. She'd rather negotiate (or magically influence) her way out of a prison sentence if anyone actually managed to bring a legal case against her and keep working even if that means alone now. Maybe move her official domicile to new jersey or rhode island or wherever cuz it wouldnt be a legal crime there even if everyone still hated it. She'd be sadder and lonelier but people leave her that way a lot and she keeps going.

The only thing that might get her really set against other people is if they start bullying her kids. They still have the shield of being magically created even though everyone's gonna be theorising they're Pietro's. (I can see Vision taking the opportunity to blame her and the kids being someone elses for their marriage problems which would add fuel to the fire.)

Billy would hold onto the magically created thing both as a public defence and internally cuz he would not want to think of himself as an incest baby, he might step away from Wanda for a bit to collect himself but he does idolise her. It would be good for him to get over that idolising and appreciate her more as a real person with human flaws and struggles and not his favourite celebrity, and maybe this situation would be a way for that to happen. Or maybe he'd get over the incest first and things would stay the same. Or maybe he'd so not get over it that he starts to feel negatively about her instead. I don't like that but it's possible for him. Especially if he's recieving negative attention, he doesnt handle that well, but also he's a baby god how many people want to test him.

Tommy would definitely fight people bad mouthing him mom in public. He's not worried about protecting his own reputation, he doesnt have a particularly good one and he sets himself against other people easily so what they think is worthless to him. I don't see him being bothered about Wanda and Pietro's relationship. Its more likely to drive him closer to his mom (and dad) because he's setting himself against the people who are against them. People giving him a hard time is nothing new, and he's gonna give worse back because he's vengeful like that, and he can blow things up. (Tbh I'd like Billy and Tommy to argue about it, that would be fun.)

Luna would be far less affected because she isnt their kid, just Pietro's. And she's more than used to people saying bad things about her dad. In-marriage doesn't seem to be taboo for Inhumans so thats not gonna bother her. Maybe the other kids at her school try and bully her about it, but she's more than capable of spilling all their secrets which might keep them in line, and as I said, it's not about her like it is her half-brothers. At the least though, it's another nail in the coffin for Pietro not getting custody if he tries to again.

I've noticed all the signs have a specific link to certain types of names. And even the house the name (if there is an asteroid linked to it) can signify the reason why you have that name.

Im mainly talking about big three, but the house that holds the ruler of your acsedent also counts.

Aries- Names about being strong, a leader, and important war time names (generals, leaders, soldiers etc)

Libra- Love and being loved by many/popularity (also a link to Religious figures/themes and their names)

Taurus- Beauty, homely, vanity

Scorpio- Death/Rebirth, Night, Darkness/Dark

I truly believe Kaali is most comfortable in the 4th house. Kaali Ma herself is related to motherhood, beginnings/endings, and destruction. Those are all also themes of the fourth house, especially the womb phase of life.

🧟‍♀️Pluto:

Now I know some might think Pluto is most comfortable in the 8th house, I think the 10th is truly the house for Pluto. The themes of Pluto include power, recognition, permanent change and death. If you think about it the house of the public eye fits exactly this. You grow out of your younger self (death/permanent change).

🧟‍♀️Sirene:

I think this one is obvious. Yes its 12th house and I don't think I have to explain it but ya know.. I will. I mean sirens use their voice to convince you to listen to them, the same way your subconscious uses it's "thoughts" to guide you through life. They could bring down whole ships just by whispering something similar to how your whole perspective can change based off of experiencing something.

I believe that the 8th house is the best house for Nymph. Its about being hidden and having certain types of seductive qualities for personal gain. And the 8th house is about inheritance (idk why its not talked about more). Nymphs are also protectors of those who can't protect themselves.

🧞‍♂️I've noticed a lot of Scorpios work in childcare. And they also make some of the best teachers. Idk why people don't mention Scorpios in terms of childcare more. Not the risings... The suns and moons...

🧞‍♂️Idk why I just noticed this but Pisces tend to have a lisp. Also Neptunians, idk why its just something I've heard more and more lately

🧞‍♂️Convinced that Gemini and Sag celebrities don't have PR teams they just be saying anything. Literally rocks for brains and an ass for a mouth.

🧞‍♂️In terms of Venusians and their voices/sound. Libras tend to have more of a high and heady voice while Taureans have a more deep and gut sounding voice. Both are pleasing to the ear, just different ways. (Pretty much Libras talk with their head/noses- airy, Taurus talk with their gut/diaphragm- earthy)

🧞‍♂️Mercurials can be broken down the same way. Geminis have more flowy and sharp voices while Virgos have a stable and muted voices. {Virgos- talk with their chest (they take deeper breaths and use all the "breathing" parts). Geminis- talk with their lungs (hence the sharpness they have to take more breaths)}

🧞‍♂️I've seen Geminis confused for Scorpios. Mainly ones with Tone/Sirene/Nymph in the 8th house or Scorpio. I've seen Scorpios confused for Geminis mainly those with Sag Mercury/Viv/Young in Gemini(...not the Mercury one)/3rd house.

🧞‍♂️Drama wise this is how the earth signs are:

Capricorn- The one who "caused" the drama by calling you out. Virgo- the one trying to soothe the situation because "you are giving me a headache with all that yelling". Taurus- Watching all of it happen because"couldn't be me"

I'd say Conquest's plot isn't even in the same league of stupidity as Golden Wildfire's tho, especially in regards to each route's mid-story twist; all the Nohrian royals were convinced Garon could still go back to being the good man he used to be if they kept doing as he said, meaning they wouldn't rebel against him solely on Corrin's say-so, especially when Azura's crystal ball only works for people with Vallite blood or exceptionally powerful magical talent like Leo, meaning Corrin would have had no evidence for their claim that Garon was actually a walking corpse who can never be redeemed and, as such, needed to be taken down, leaving them no choice but to try and get him to sit on the truth-revealing Hoshidan throne in order to get hard evidence for their accusations and convince the Nohrian siblings to turn on their father.

In contrast, Clout's plan (and, therefore, the entire rest of the story in GW) is idiotic and unnecessary on every conceivable level, to a much larger, more obvious and more consistent degree than Azura's plan in Chapter 15 of CQ; not only is allying with someone who's made it abundantly clear that she wants to conquer all of Fódlan, including his own territory, just because he thinks she cares about good PR and isn't going to keep the war going if she loses her initial publically-stated purpose for starting the conflict, stupid, so is thinking that the CoS is solely responsible for every bad thing that has ever happened in Fódlan, along with the notion that killing it's leader will just cause all those issues to disappear overnight and for everyone to be able to sing kumbaya together forever.

And for what it's worth, the CQ twist does have issues of it's own; the crystal ball, even if i defend it in regards to it having enough estabilished limitations to keep it from being of much use for anything other than what Azura used it for, is still a massively convenient asspull that's never brought up before or after the scene it's introduced in (and no, the Birthright scene doesn't count, needing to play through practically the entirety of a completely different route just for basic set-up on an important plot element would still be bad writing, especially when the game never tells you to play the routes in order of BR then CQ), and there should probably have been a few extra scenes at the end of the chapter of Corrin and Azura thinking over other possibilities and realizing that the latter's plan was the only realistic option they had, if only to make their reasoning clearer to the audience in-text instead of forcing them to infer it themselves, but even with those in mind, the combination of the plan in CQ being significantly more justified than in GW and the characters having actual reactions to what happens as a result makes it so CQ's plot is much less nonsensical than GW's, imo.

Well, tbh

Claude's GW stunt, imo, stings more because it's pretty obvious how the world, its characters and even lore are completely neutralised to make GW happen.

Say, in AG, when Dimitri takes the throne from his Uncle, we see and hear about revolts, and AG in general has him think a lot about Faerghus' stability, to make sure his people aren't embroiled in another civil war and can finally start living in peace.

Claudio pisses on the "no king no emperor" Alliance and turns it in a Federation, then sides with the imperialist who legit tried to conquer his land 5 months earlier - and we only hear in a footnote people being pissed but they're either erased in an auxilliary map or unheard of.

AG NPCs are learning to "adapt" and "accept" each others - Duscur with Faerghians, Church peeps with Kingdom peeps, etc. There used to be a conflict - lore wise - a few years ago (Regicide + revenge on Duscur) so there is a tension between Faerghus and Duscur, it's the topic of a few supports, and we see NPCs establish it : it exists.

Claudio's Federation?

Well, Almyrans were trying to force the border for funsies last month? Who cares, it's not like we have a Goneril NPC actually wondering why the fuck they are allied witl Almyrans or siding with Nader "I love to bring souvenirs!", one of the most well-known Almyran generals.

Apparently the CoS is so VeRy BaD that it forces people to be racist... but we don't see anyone, of the GW side, being miffed about fighting side by side with Almyrans. The party went to Sreng to arrange a surprise for the Kingdom? Again, no NPC, dialogue, support even suggests that anyone in the Alliance thinks the Srengese are BaD because they're not Fodlanese.

FFS GW bothered with giving us Holst, the leader of the Goneril vanguard and defence against Almyrans who are invading for funsies, but nothing he said is relevant to the conflict he is supposed to play a major part in.

We're left with Clout saying a lot of things that aren't shown on screen - and yet his sycophant allies buy everything and we end up with, well, what the route ends up as.

For the midtwist reveal...

Well, given how Clout (and Supreme Leader, but her plot is a special case) manages to get away with everything without having to work within the confines of Fodlan's foggy lore (just imagine if Dimitri, one day in AG, enrolled Sreng's most famous general in his troops and the Gautiers had nothing to say about that, not even the NPCs) - so him coming up with completely ridiculous plot and reasons/excuses to get rid of the Evil Lizard Lady - isn't more problematic as him calling Nader and his pals to his aid, since no one gives fuck about Almyran raiding Fodlan, why should people give a fuck about killing Rhea today because you had a strawberry jam toast this morning, or because Supreme Leader wants to use a pawn ?

Granted, credit where it is due, I once joked with friends about a NPC I arbitrarly called Padmé, who is, in GW, the only person who thought Clout was going to ally with the Kingdom and is puzzled and questions his choice to ally with the Empire instead.

At least in Conquest, we have the feeling we're playing the same game, with the same stakes, but reversed (in a way!) that the ones presented to us when we're playing BR : each time we invade a country, people call us traitors, we demolish a tribe of shifters and by the end of the story we're left with unfinished solutions - especially not helped by CQ - and Fates in general - being Treehouse'd !

Maybe this is the reason why the premise of Conquest - having Garon sit on the magic throne to reveal he's Gooron being the only thing that can make his children turn against him - felt really wrong to me - even if Treehouse downplayed how horribly fucked up the Nohrian royals were - because of the Camus effect : we have people being loyal/loving someone, despite starting a war and invading a neighbouring nation with all those things war entails, and they will still continue to fight no matter what - but if stars align a certain way and they realise their beloved leader is not the one they initially followed anymore, they will finally fight against him to try and stop the war?

Granted, I'm disgressing a bit here.

CQ ends on a similar story beat as GW - sort of, we have the conqueror of a nation wishing to make peace and sing kumbaya with the people he just invaded for, to those invaded people, no plausible reason, slaughtered key figures of the nations who were just trying to defend their lands and people, while having a puppet ruler (sure sure, Dimitri and Hinoka are rulers that exist in their own right, but can we seriously believe their actions wouldn't be monitored/restreigned by the Empire/Federation or Nohr?) in place.

And yet, unlike Golden Shower, CQ's end is not positive at all, because Azura disappears and... there are still things that moved the plot that aren't adressed at all, it's an ominous ending and Corrin, at least, knows it - especially as they see (iirc?) Azura disappearing!

Golden Shower's ending is as unconclusive as the rest of Nopes' endings - but there's no feeling of dread or anything similar we can get from CQ's ending "maybe the war will stop, or not" yeah sure.

Ultimately, I think the main difference between the two "plot twists" in those routes is, again, how divorced from the lore/world Clout's reasoning is - for his plan to actually make sense, it has to shoot itself in the leg (apparently Rhea BaD bcs people follow her religion and her religion make people marry, or whatever... but then, Judith says no one gives a fuck about her teachings in the Alliance :/) or, and worse imo, drags other characters down (just imagine a second Hinoka telling Takumi that, maybe they should let Garon sit on the throne so that would reduce the number of casualties, or Sakura confirming with Corrin that she will let Ryoma die to defend the capital, but only if that makes less Hoshidan civilians die).

So, in termes of nonsense, I agree, Golden Shower is way more nonsensical - not only because of Clout's ""plot"" twist, but because it bends the rest of the world (characters included!) for it to sort of make sense/be justified - than CQ's plot, even if I have my own grievances about it.

Form the worm power oc thing.

A shaker/blaster that opens portals that blast out extreem heat or extreem winds or extreem colds etc. That they are only as effected by as they want to be. Like if they want to they can stand there in enough heat to melt a car and not even sweat or practicly fly on tornado level winds.

Oh this one has some fun potential.... I'll admit that my first thoughts were a Eidolon/Myrrdin type Cape or a Weiss Schnee from RWBY epxy, using the Portals as a stand in for Dust-Fuelled Glyphs.

That being said I'm thinking a Hero, someone who is very well suited to the Cape dynamic of a city like New York but also doesn't get as much publicity due to just how big the market/scene in that city is and the fact she's in the shadow of some of the best in the business.

I feel like this is someone who's actual personality and Cape image don't really match up, like in person she's an absolute sweetheart but her image is that she's a brutal, no nonsense heavy hitter.....A lot of that comes from her costume and the way she's used.

The Protectorate like using her for raids and attacks on villain lairs, New York's scene is based around destructive power and she can open up a portal that drops the heat of a sun directly through your ceiling and then have another portal creating a tornado outside for people trying to run....Even her flight is destructive a lot of the time as she's basically ricocheting herself from the effects of one portal to the next.....Also I like the idea that she had at least one run in with String Theory before String got caged, just completely no-selled an early 'Driver' weapon

Costume wise, I'm thinking something that's a mix of spacesuit and cyberpunk tech wear....the general astronaut look but a lot sleeker and angular in some places, especially the helmet which is completely featureless and opaque, then layered over with the straps and armour.... It's actually a little restrictive to her movement but it's like the capes who wear actual capes, you can get away with it if your power doesn't need you to move; colour wise I'm thinking white with black and orange details.

Name wise....It took me a while, mainly because I had to stop myself from making Portal references. Next I liked the idea of "Extremophile" as a nod to the conditions she creates, but I also like the idea that marketing and PR vetoed it because they don't want a cape whose name is anything ending in "Phile" the headlines would be horrendous.

Perhaps I am biased as he is one of my favourites but do you have any theory on why George Russell [if you are interested that is] seems get such a rough ride with press.

As far as I know, he doesn't do anything particularly problematic, he seems pretty low key when he's not at races and just genuinely seems to life his life with his partner. As yet there has been no scandal from his personal life. I can see that his on track brand might have been dampened from his years at the back with Williams. But his time so far at Mercedes don't seem to have helped either, last year he got so much abuse from fans, and the most seem to be from his teammates fans. For years now people have called him a Tory [the slang word for the right wing Conservative Party in the UK] and PR63, like all drivers don't have to do press? Huge double standards seems to exist for George, and not the other drivers.

Okay so a bit late but I do think I may be able to help a bit upon further thought! I have a few ideas, so this will be an essay format. This is a bit of a complicated PR case because particularly stuff with the press is less about him as you will see, and is largely for the mean time out of his control:

Firstly, British drivers often occupy a place of contention in the sport whether they initially annoyed people or otherwise. I am sure you have long heard people say things like British bias but it actually goes beyond people talking about British media, and also goes into the longheld association of Britain, with the birth of F1, with many also calling it the "home" of F1. For drivers like George in specific, (British, White, Male), there is a kind of assumption even from non-English media, that in every generation of F1 drivers, you will see someone like George at the front of the pack, being considered a serious WDC contender.

So even back in Williams, where he was thought to be a backmarker car, he was a major topic of conversation, which bred a lot of resentment. But the point of the matter is that PR wise, British drivers especially the ones that are not marginalized in the way that Lewis are (although people do also say British bias about him), are always sort of a press focus, even outside of anglophone media.

I am sure since you're a George fan, you have seen conversations and sometimes arguments about who between George and Lando will be the next great British driver, and who is most likely to succeed Lewis, but you don't see Alex Albon in the media despite the fact that he was once in an RBR seat. You also don't see a lot of fanfare in the racer capacity around people like Susan Wolff.

There also is the assumption in and of itself that (white male) British drivers are something of a dynasty that often rubs fans the wrong way. So on that part, it is largely out of George's control, because white male British drivers like him and Lando will always be seen as "establishment" especially to older fans of the sport that have watched since prior to F1 having a growing presence on social media. Drivers have "always" been like him and Lando, engineers have been like him and Lando, media have been like them, etc. To date the UK is home to a lot of F1 related business, so it has the PR of not just heritage, but also establishment. And of course whilst him and Lando are very different, with Lando even writing in a paper nicknamed the torygraph (Thats the telegraph for those of you unaware), that aspect of his image is less about *him* and more about what he is believed to represent.

The other thing to take into account is that Williams for a long time was PR wise seen as a British family business, with a heritage to boot. When British drivers leave teams associated with British identity like McLaren and Mercedes, it often leads to anger from the British public like when Lewis left McLaren years back so that also meant for him that there is resentment from establishment fans who considered Lewis to be unpatriotic or unBritish for leaving (and incidentally is also a strand of anger that still exists today about Lewis "leaving a British team"). That being said, in DTS there was a lot of emphasis on Williams as a struggling British family endeavor and following the various seasons of DTS George was often accused of being self absorbed and not being able to be a team player. So that was another part of it.

The last aspect is that the people from the previous paragraph that would be considered "establishment" supporters, don't like Mercedes because they consider it to be a company that is the antithesis of traditional motorsports, with diversity initiatives and so on. But unlike a couple of years prior, seeing those things as negative would draw criticism, so its sort of been hidden behind this thing of "Mercedes is too PR". Mercedes has long been accused of being overly concerned with its PR and branding, and you see both former and current drivers being accused of saying things for the purposes of PR.

Lando not being accused of PR is less about him not doing or having PR (Lando absolutely does, like every other driver, regardless of what fans are led to believe based on branding), and more of him benefitting from McLaren formerly having a PR image as this British for the Family team that's just about racing and not overly calculated. And of course you're starting to see the fall out of that image collapsing but I will save that for my McLaren essay. In George's case he is in a team that has an image of a certain kind of sophistication and a push towards the kinds of initiatives that some sections of F1 do not like.

It is definitely a complicated PR conundrum because the primary causes of what he is disliked for and really about him, but what he represents and who his team is, but also, whilst people who dislike him call him a Tory and PR63, those are more so related to him being viewed as having a sort of bland and uncontroversial personality (not that he is actually bland and uncontroversial), which when it comes to athletes is often met with skepticism and suspicion that something lies underneath the surface.

Audiences, especially in F1 often have this thing especially with Vettel and Hamilton about disliking them having strong personalities, depending on who you ask also being very competitive drivers, or being vocal about their politics, but the current media climate is such that if you are not like Vettel and Hamilton, in the sense that you're considered to have a distinctive personality and expressing opinions on social issues, even the audiences that vehemently dislike that about them find it suspicious. Having a PR image that comes across to audiences as neutral is useful in the sense that there will likely never be any major PR mishaps, but it also means that audiences think that in an era of social media and the likes, especially as a younger driver, it is unusual to come across that way hence comes the sentiments that he is deliberately hiding who he is.

Overall, since he is newer at Merc, only time can tell whether being in a more visible team will benefit him in the long run as audiences will see more of him, his personality etc, or if it will continue to be an issue with audiences that are more set in their image of him. With the press because of the nature of being associated with establishment, that will always be a tricky thing to navigate PR wise. As for teammate fans, from a PR perspective that that would not be a point of concern because in a sport where your teammate is your biggest competitor, it is kind of the expected standard procedure that not all fans will be very receptive, a big example of this is Carlos and Charles, it only becomes an issue when you have explicit incidents like multi 21 or Brazil 22 where that would be a PR focal point, or matter of concern.

I just unfollowed someone because they didn’t want me to interact with them because Im part of the dsmp fandom. They listed a bunch of things members of the smp had done that were r@cist pr d!scriminatory but some I know aren’t true and some I don’t. I don’t know what to believe and I’m really stressed. I really liked that person who i mentioned. I only really watch streamers like Tommyinnit, tubbo and ranboo, who haven’t done anything bad, but the person i unfollowed says you can’t pick and choose who to like in the group, and I agree with them, but the streamers have helped me so much through lockdown and they make me smile. I don’t know What to believe and I’m really stressed :(

I think it was a positive that you unfollowed that person, it’s always best that we make sure we follow and are in contact with people that we feel safe and comfortable with – positive people!

I know how hard it can be to have a conflict with someone who is in way demanding something of us (in your case being told you cannot pick and choose who you like in the group) I think this is extremely unfair to you and that as a person, you have the right to like and dislike people as you choose too and especially when it comes to following and unfollowing people.

It sounds as though the streamers you mentioned really helped you throughout all of the craziness of lockdowns and covid-19 in general. This is a really big positive as you were actively able to find something that helped you through those tough times. And, so despite this one person telling you that you cannot choose who you like and dislike in the group is it possible you can just focus on those people you do find helpful and like? You don’t have to make it public, but just actively keep in mind that you do not have to take on board what everyone is posting.

Stamp duty and interest rates are going to mess with the rental market more until there's political intervention basically, I believe. Which could be at any time in the 2 years. But with the budget just release by the Chancellor, it's not looking good. I would say a big chunk of disposable income is going down even with the tax changes - the removal of the 45% income tax band. The pound/dollar parity is currently at (writing this on Friday, 400pm is $1.09, now Monday 1pm $1.07), even pound to euro being basically 1=1 (1.12euro) is quite worrying.

A few economists are saying that the UK is looking like an emerging economy and what happens in "emerging economies"? Mass inequality and I would even say social unrest - the trickles of we can see in strikes right now.

Headphones as accessories is a trend I wanted to touch on last week (pre my holiday). Every few months there's a new headphones on TikTok that is the headphones to buy, whether they're the Sony WH1000XM4 or Koss Porta Pros or AirPod Maxs. The Sony headphones are so popular the tag itself has 54M views for videos combined. I think some of this has to do with the back to reality, back to work, out in the world vibe that is going on. I basically had this twitter convo on Thursday night with Mat Dryhurst which was in response to his response on this Guardian article and it really got me thinking about how music is a public good and how musicians especially in the UK talk about burn out and mental health issues. (See also the Music Minds Matter charity becoming a single focus charity with 30% more enquiries). And he suggested NFTs as a solution - I said that they have a high barrier to entry.

I also said that certain things need a PR redo - not that I 100% believe in web 3 but I do think it's coming aggressively, artists, creators want solutions and answers to things right now and I think if the believers and architects of bigger things in Web3 want the general public on board, it's best to do this now than later.

Which also begs the question of is this exclusive? Inclusive? Isn't crypto just luxury on a grander scale? How will social media work on web 3?

Personally, I am all-in with Seb having a PR relationship if it does him some good, but neither Ale nor Annabelle have benefited him in the slightest from a PR perspective. If he'd done a PR relationship with Shailene Woodley, for example, that would have helped broaden his visibility with the general public. Neither Ale (especially Ale lol) nor Annabelle benefits him PR-wise because they are both much lower-tier. Why was the Prequel announced sooo early? Why is Jared being super dumb? Why might his tweets cause SERIOUS issues for the future of the prequel? Why should Jensen and Dannel be livid and actually quite worried as CEOs?

I see lots of people, Jared being the main one, super confused as to why the Prequel was announced in Deadline when apparently its still just an idea? Surely its further down the road, development-wise, than Deadline and Jensen and Daneel are saying? Surely Jared has been left out of months and months of development of this show??? Well, no. Not really. This is what i think, as someone who works in TV development...

A lot of questions have occurred as to why Jared may not have known about the Ackles’ prequel, and yes it might be because they haven’t talked, but let’s look at this from an industry perspective…

Of course the project may already have NDAs attached to it, and as it seems to be in the incredibly early stages, there may not even be anything to the project right now. Working in TV development, you can have big announcements in the Trade publications (such as Deadline) with just an idea for a project with maybe one high profile talent attached. When the company’s ive worked for announce a project in it’s really early stages, without even a script and just an idea but also with IMPORTANT TALENT ATTACHED, it is for one reason: finance. The prod company and the Trade magazine work together to announce the project and it’s all planed. 

So I would guess that maybe Jensen and Daneel’s prod company are looking for extra financing? That is always why the companies ive worked for have made super early announcements like this, without even a script or an entire treatment written. If you announce a project super early but there is big talent attached, then big industry financiers may read, see the project has legs and has buzz around it already, and plonk in their money early on. 

I know it seems like if Deadline announce a project then that infers that lots has been done to develop the show already, but especially with the pandemic and the industry not doing well from a dev and prod point of view, and especially because Jensen and Daneel’s prod company hasn’t made anything yet (even if it does have a co-production deal with Warner Bros television), they still might need to get financing during the early stages of the project. Anyway, it makes sense that very little has been done on the prequel show, and they just want early buzz for financiers. So they got their PR team to talk to Deadline and Deadline and Warner Bros TV and J&D’s prod company’s PR team set up a date for the article to go out to get optimal buzz in line with when financing needs to get off the ground. 

I don’t know, but I’m sure J&D’s prod company paid a lot for the spin-off rights / general supernatural IP. So that’s a lot of sunken costs already. Also, even with The CW on board, the industry is pretty shaky right now and they still might need early financing from international distributers. 

Anyway, all I’m saying is that lots of times, when a project so early in development gets a Trade publication announcement, it’s to secure financing for the project, or to raise the awareness of a new production company, like J&A’s company. Maybe they have a whole slate of projects and are looking for co-producers, and need some legit PR to play with the other big lads in the industry (however, Chaos Machine could do with like… i mean the bare minimum of a website,, unless anyone can see their website? i cant find one?) Maybe they just want to focus on the SPN prequel. But even so, why do they need money, you ask?

If the CW is involved, and if Warner Bros television is co-producing, then why do the Ackles’s prod company need money? Surely the CW can support them and make the show?! Well… i mean, yes they could. But the Ackles wouldn’t necessarily WANT that. You see, whichever company funds the show, gets most of the creative rights to the show. The big issue with SPN was always that the CW/Warner Bros TV probably had things like ‘the final cut privalege’, and could ALWAYS have the final say on scripts. Having been through that on SPN, Jensen needs his production company to retain creative control over the IP and the rights, and for that to happen is prod co NEEDS to fund a majority of the costs. So the Ackles’ need to secure a heck of a lot of financing as a separate entity to the CW. This will mean they might get financiers, other prod cos, distribution companies, and such on board, just by an early announcement of a big project that already has legs and a buzz around it and YOU CAN HELP GET IT MADE AND GET A SLICE OF THE PROFITS ONCE IT’S MADE. See how great this project is ALREADY? Give us some money to help us retain the creative rights and get it made, then you get whatever percentage of the show’s profits. A great investment right? Look at our willing and lovely fanbase! We’re like a big family! A big, happy, fa — *enter Jared with a bulldozer*

SO. With this PR disaster from Jared’s stupid rage tweets like he’s a child, what’s the situation now? I mean, all press is good press… kind of? 

I expect the announcement has something to do with money. Either the project needs money or J&D’s production company needs money. I expect the Ackles are looking for financing, but now is their lovely PR stunt to try to get the project financially off the ground, or at least the PR stunt to try to make sure THE ACKLES retain creative rights by majorly funding the project in jeopardy? 

It depends. Certainly Jared storming in and destroying the idea of a solid and family-like fanbase is going to hamper things. Jared destroying the brotherly vibe, a central theme of the IP, is going to be an issue, but the statements J&J put out to end the drama, and Deadline’s unbelievably obvious ‘solve the drama PR’ where they wrote about the drama ‘All’s well that ends well. After some Supernatural drama that mobilized the series’ legions of fans Thursday night and Friday morning, showcasing the series’ massive social media reach, the #spnfamily is happily back together after a heart-to-heart between Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki.’ (https://deadline.com/2021/06/jared-padalecki-supernatural-prequel-reaction-bummed-gutted-the-winchesters-jensen-ackles-the-cw-1234781475/) will help. Side note, Deadline writing the announcement article with the Ackles to help them get good PR for a project, then having to write an article to solve the bad PR that was caused by their original ‘this’ll be great PR’ article is pretty hilarious. 

Basically, I don’t know if this’ll really affect the reason for the article: getting the Ackle’s money for the project. Whether it will affect the project or how much creative control the Ackles can keep if the CW does have to step in and fund it, I don’t know. But Jared obviously has no idea about how television development works, and certainly has no idea that shows so early in development have these trade publication announcements for financing (a pretty obvious and known-about thing to anyone who works at a film or tv company). Jared also seemed to think that BECAUSE it was announced in Deadline, THAT MUST MEAN that the project was more than an idea with some creatives attached, which again shows that he doesn’t understand how projects in development work and why they’re so often announced when there isn’t even a proper treatment let alone script. The dude is obviously clueless, and there is J&D trying to run a production company which pulls PR moves like this regularly, as an industry standard.

So, even if this doesn’t jeopardise the projects financing, and therefore the control the Ackle’s prod company has over the project, the personal effect this will have on Jensen could be huge. Jared, with his stupid uninformed idea that he’s been left out of loads of development of a project just because it was announced in a magazine, could be read by Jensen as really putting his baby of a project in danger. The article was about money, and what if Jared’s tweets mean that they won’t be able to fund it? What if the CW does have to majority fund it and therefore keep creative control like they did with SPN? Like, this is Jensen and his wife’s COMPANY. Which they’ve already sunken costs into? Like… this is their FINANCIAL FUTURE Jared has stuck his foot into? That article WAS ABOUT MONEY FOR THEIR COMPANY. OF COURSE IT WAS. And now Jared has put their company, and financial future into question potentially? DUMB IDIOT. 

Anyway, that’s how announcements like this work, this is why they normally happen when a project is so early in its development it seems silly to even ‘announce’ anything. Someone forward this to Jared plz and thanks. xxx

coney island and evermore: taylor’s apology to kaylors

it rained today and for the first time i was able to really sit down with evermore and try to work through the heartache and confusion caused by lyrics that had me taking turns between filling my wine glass in the kitchen and crying in front of the bathroom mirror

because i finished all the wine and am too dehydrated to cry anymore, i offer a hesitant but nonetheless hopeful interpretation of the heart-wrenchingly volatile emotional forklift of an album that is evermore

upon the first listen through, i really was convinced that kaylor had broken up. every time a new album gets released, it becomes increasingly difficult to understand the meaning behind songs that appear to have satisfying interpretations for both swifties and gaylors. for me, the two songs that really cut deep were coney island and evermore. they all seem to have this soul-shattering rawness with references to the struggle that tay has given kaylors a peek into throughout the years. after listening a few more times (and crying way more than a few times), i no longer think this song is about losing karlie- i think it’s about losing kaylors, the fandom that has stuck by her and vowed to stick around through her journey, as she has slowly but surely gotten closer to coming out and into her authentic self

fellow tired kaylors have definitely been vocal about their disappointments and decisions to stop following or supporting kaylor when times get tough and it seems that we’re back at the dead end we started from. but more than that, specifically i think this was written as a result of the backlash and hurt that came from the long pond sessions and taylor crediting toe with co-writing betty and straightwashing the entire song and narrative- something that was so sacred to the hope not only we felt, but that everyone felt, about betty being the queer anthem that could open a real window in the darkness to let the daylight shine through

perhaps this line is referencing her playing on two different narratives, looking for the community that can see through the PR lies and cover-ups- the fans that see her and support her and karlie together

this line cuts deep because she compares losing the fans that see her for who she really is as losing family- it’s such a special relationship to have with lgbtq+ fans, one in which we relate to taylor and her truth that she tells in her lyrics, and take comfort in knowing that she is like us

And if this is the long haul How'd we get here so soon?

again, i think this makes a lot of sense in the context of how many kaylors were vocal about how they really gave up after the william bowery ordeal, when most of the time we hang in there and proclaim to be in it for the ‘long haul,’ when she finally comes out

Did I close my fist around something delicate? Did I shatter you?

this line is the one that made me fully trust that this song is a kaylor apology, because it references the Spade riddle, of love not being able to grow in closed fists, but rather open hands. her connection to us through her queerness of her songs is so sacred (and delicate), and it was incredibly painful for her to take that from us in the long pond sessions, especially when she could’ve remained vague in her explanation

i think this captures how long kaylors have waited and continued clowning only to be disappointed or robbed of hope when she stunts with toe or reverts to straightwashing her music and persona

What's a lifetime of achievement If I pushed you to the edge? But you were too polite to leave me And do you miss the rogue Who coaxed you into paradise and left you there? Will you forgive my soul When you're too wise to trust me and too old to care?

were all her achievements worth it when she wasn’t being her authentic self, and when she denied her truth so much to the point of losing the only people that could see it? kaylors constantly say something along the lines of “if she doesn’t come out by the next album, i’m done with her,” but then they’ll continue to stick around and continue to postpone the time that they will officially give up (did i leave you hanging every single day?). we were too polite, too invested, and we had too much love for tay to give up hope

if her coming out album really was going to be called ‘paradise,’ i imagine the ‘rogue’ being 1989 and rep, the first of album that strayed from denial and moved closer to acceptance, made clear by the more and more explicit queerness of lyrics and aesthetics. it kept us around imagining that she was close to coming out, it validated us and let us place our trust in her that one day paradise would finally happen.

but of course it didn’t and even after all this time, she is still stunting. she asks for forgiveness, for if we do give up because we stop trusting that she will finally come out, or for when she does, but it has taken so long that it’s no longer a big deal to us

The fast times, the bright lights, the merry go Sorry for not making you my centerfold

i think this references the 1989 era and the fast pace of it all, the lights that never blind her, and especially this era where the glass-closeting began- where we all became die-hard shippers of kaylor

she apologizes again- i know many people think this is about karlie and a reference to magazine covers- but i genuinely believe this is a reference to her career and PR in general. kaylors were never given the attention that swifties are- she can never publicly declare her love for us or interact with us in the way she wants in order to maintain her public narrative. we just stay in the background, having our own interpretations and trying to pinpoint the truth in her art, but we never get the spotlight. the easter eggs on magazine covers and big-time interviews are always filtered and not the total truth- though she does feed us well with kaylor hints and references behind the scenes. 

But when I walked up to the podium I think that I forgot to say your name

this line falls into a similar meaning- when she stands on podiums thanking her fans for support and how happy she is that people can relate to her music- but she is never able to thank us kaylors, who see her for her and relate to her truth in her music

coney island is an apology to kaylors for not being able to acknowledge us or the truest parts of herself just yet

as for evermore, i think taylor is again using this song to work through and make sense of the pain that her and kaylors felt together after the betty explanation in the long pond sessions.

these lines reference November, when the long pond sessions were released and the backlash occurred not long after. the sessions are the film that put her in a ‘bad light,’ showing her credit toe with betty and slowly destroy us with the seemingly never-ending nervous hetsplanation of betty being written from a male perspective

I replay my footsteps on each stepping stone Trying to find the one where I went wrong

i think this references the song visual for betty on Spotify, which was her walking along the ‘stone wall’

I rewind thе tape but all it does is pause On thе very moment, all was lost Sending signals To be double-crossed

i think these lyrics probably provide insight into her rewatching that moment of the sessions, another moment where she is freezing her ground and not being able to move forward into a future where she can be open about who she is. some people thought that her explanation of betty was intentionally supposed to sound ridiculous, or that we’d know she was lying- that she was giving us signs that this was not true and that it was just to satisfy the other side of the fanbase, give promotion to toe, or strengthen her chances of winning more Grammys. she thought she was doing what she always does, splitting herself into two, playing both sides- but she did not recognize how much this would hurt us, how much we would lose by losing betty.. and by words coming from her own mouth especially. our loss turned into her loss because so many kaylors gave up after this moment

i won’t go into detail surrounding lyrics that seem pretty evident regarding the pain and hurt that being in the closet and letting down kaylors has caused her, but i do strongly believe that through these lyrics, she is speaking to us <3

BRF Mini Reading, 3/9/2021

I hope it is not too late, and it is rather late here where I live this will be just a very simple three-card spread I do about the BRF. I will do a more in-depth reading about this topic somewhere around this week, most probably on Sunday my time.

As written, this is merely a speculation and therefore must be taken with a grain of salt. This speculation is not true until proven otherwise.

Summary: Because there are no major arcana cards in this spread (I do not include clarifiers in the main spread), it seems to suggest that this month will be rather uneventful -- this does not mean, however, that there is nothing going on behind the scenes.

The Queen of Wands has mustered her Strength, gathering her wit and ready to persist throughout the situation, and triumph. She is the woman depicted in my card, controlling the lion with quiet determination. This affirms the idea that this card is talking about the Andrew-Roberts lawsuit, as Roberts is a fire-sign person (according to Wikipedia, she is born on August 9, making her a Leo).

Second card: Page of Cups. Pages are messengers, and Page of Cups, in particular, heralds a good omen for a creative project, venture, or relationship. She also brings the message of the necessity of turning inwards rather than outwards, but she can also be a message that the decision to turn inwards has turned into escapism, the unwillingness to look outwards and to face the problem presented by the situation. This card also warns about an unwelcome message, young and immature people, and not to take everything at the face value.

This card comes across to me in two ways: first, this month will be the month where BRF will once again turn inwards rather than outwards as they are dealing with the Andrew lawsuit, and this seems to suggest that anything done by the family regarding this lawsuit will not see the light of the day unless BRF decides it is allowed to be known to the public. Second, this is a warning to us -- as this card represents immature people (Harry and Meghan) and to not take everything at the face value. I am sure this is a classic adage by this time around here, but we are once again reminded not to take whatever Harry and Meghan push through their PR at the face value.

Third card: Ten of Wands. This is the card of being burdened, of responsibility, rewards, and being fatigued. This card is illustrated with the character sitting in an awkward, burdened pose as if she's hunching over to support the wands on her back. This card seems to suggest that the BRF will be quite burdened this month, perhaps they are having too much on their plate?

Underlying energy: Knight of Cups. This is a court card of a Pisces, and my gut says that this card stands for Andrew, a Pisces. As the underlying energy of this spread, this card seems to suggest that this month we will see bits of him here and there, especially concerning his alleged sexual abuse. However, because this card belongs to the minor arcana, I feel like this month we are not going to understand the situation better than previous months, for those who are following the lawsuit.

Conclusion: I will perhaps do a bigger spread about this question later this week, as I am curious if I can see anything about Harry and Meghan -- their energy is there, but it is rather weak and the card that carries their energy (the Page of Cups) is more inclined towards warning us, rather than saying anything about them or what they are planning.

Question: Will Catherine attend Prince Philip's funeral?

Interpretation: Catherine wants to go to the funeral, but it may not be wise. The final decision is what HM the Queen wants.

Card One: The Ace of Wands. Aces are new beginnings, and the Ace of Wand represents a new rush of creative energy, a new inspiration, which can take the from of a new PR narrative (Wands can be PR). This is especially important when you consider the next card, a card of conflicting PRs. The funeral is the first public appearance at a formal royal event of the seven working royals of the BRF (The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, the Earl and Countess of Wessex, The Princess Royal, and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge). It is crucial for the future of the group that this appearance goes without a hitch, to give reassurance and confidence in the group going forwards.

The Ace of Wands, as a card of new beginnings, is also the card of a baby. The image on the card always looks very phallic to me, with Zeus (king of the gods, known for not being able to keep it in his pants) holding a wand that is spurting fire (the seed of life) everywhere. In these cards, the BRF is frequently represented by the gods and goddesses (both the highest in the land), so the presence of Zeus on the card reinforces that this is a baby in the BRF. The world that Zeus shows indicates that this is a baby that will have the interest of the world. Wands are ideas, so this is the idea of a baby, and the PR involved in presenting a royal pregnancy (the idea of a new baby) to the world. Is a funeral the place to announce or hint at a new royal baby? Absolutely not. So the new royal baby is posing a bit of a problem.

Card Two: The Seven of Wands. This is usually a card of conflict, showing the battle between the supporters of Jason of the Golden Fleece, the rightful King, and the supporters of the usurper king. This time, my eyes are drawn the the number seven and the bright flames on the torches, so there are two messages from this card.

The first message is one of conflict, of competing PRs (Wands can be the suit of PR). The rightful King, the BRF, want everything done at the funeral in accordance with protocol, with the focus being on Prince Philip and his life. Anything that distracts from this focus is being avoided. The rival PR, that of the usurper king (Prince Harry and Meghan), is trying to make the funeral all about them. The BRF is trying not to feed the flames of Meghan and Harry's PR, but instead to hold a funeral that follows protocol and focuses on Prince Philip and only Prince Philip.

The second message is also one of PR. This is the PR of the future monarchy. We have seen that earlier this year, when the seven working members of the BRF and HM the Queen were presented to the world, represented here by the number seven on the card. Catherine is one of those seven working royals and as such she should be attending the funeral.

The third message from this card comes when you take it in combination with the first card. We have a new royal baby on the way for the BRF. The usurper king, Harry, has a 'heavily pregnant' wife, Meghan. The last thing the BRF wants is for the funeral to turn into a PR battle over the two babies. Meghan is using her current pregnancy as an excuse for not attending the funeral. To have Catherine appear at the funeral looking pregnant will ignite a PR war and give the opportunity for comparisons that will be twisted to advantage in the victim narrative of King and Queen of Montecito.

Card Three: The Hierophant. This is the card of institutions, and in this spread it represents the BRF. It is the first of three major arcana cards in the spread, and hence one of the major energies in the spread. Lying directly above the underlying energy card representing HM the Queen, it amplifies and reinforces that energy. The main concern of the funeral is to do everything according to protocol, to make a royal funeral fit for a royal consort, and everything else comes second to that.

As a lesser point, coming directly after the Seven of Wands, this says that the BRF will win the PR war over Prince Philip's funeral in the eyes of the general public.

Card Four: The Fool. This is the second major arcana card in the spread, and so the second main energy in the spread. The Fool is a card of new beginnings, especially those that are unexpected and surprising. It is beginning a journey into and across territory that we know nothing about. It is a card of children, of innocence, and of naivete. It is also a warning against appearing or acting foolish, to look before you go plunging over that cliff edge.

This card is a further indicator or pregnancy as the issue in this question, as it represents a child or children. It aptly sums up the dilemma facing the BRF. This is an unusual situation, to have a Royal Ceremonial funeral and an unannounced royal pregnancy at the same time, and no one is quite sure what to do.

Announcing the pregnancy at the moment is out of the question. Do they let Catherine attend and hope that no one spots the signs of pregnancy? If the signs of pregnancy are spotted, do they announce it? If so, what would be the appropriate time for such an announcement? No one wants the BRF to look foolish, or to make an unconsidered move (that would send them 'over the cliff'), so this unusual situation must be considered with care for the image of the BRF, the focus of the funeral on Prince Philip, and the health of the mother and child.

If Catherine does stay at home, the needs of her current children may be put forward as a reason for why she did not attend the funeral, although that also brings PR issues. The best course may be to announce her non attendance and say nothing else, as any reasons for the nonattendance that are possible to give would look foolish.

Card Five: The Star. The Star is the last major arcana card in the spread, and the last main energy in the spread. The picture shows Pandora opening the forbidden box and letting out all of the evils within to plague the world, as well as the figure of hope. This sums up the situation around Catherine. A pregnancy is usually taken as a sign of hope. It would be nice to have a pregnant Catherine at the funeral, and for people to see the pregnancy as a sign of hope, However, if she does appear and is seen as being pregnant, this will unleash the 'evils' of a PR war with Meghan and the nastiness of the press in general, as well as being the evil of taking the focus away from Prince Philip.

This card tells me that Catherine wants to go to the funeral and hopes that she will attend, but she is well aware of the potential evils arising from her attendance and she has no wish to have the attention focused on herself instead of on Prince Philip and HM the Queen (the underlying energy of the reading). Taken with the prior card, she is aware that this would be a foolish act that would damage the reputation of the BRF.

Underlying Energy: The King of Pentacles. This is an earth sign person, particularly a Taurus. In this reading the card comes across as a person, not the qualities of the King of Pentacles (although the person may embody those qualities). That person is HM the Queen, a sun sign Taurus. What will happen at the funeral and who will attend is being decided in accordance with the wishes of HM the Queen. Everything is being decided with the utmost consideration for her and her wishes.

Major Arcana cards: Three out of the six cards in the spread are major arcana cards, so this quite a serious consideration that has implications on the world stage. The energies of the major arcana cards are that of the BRF (The Hierophant), a child/not wanting to appear foolish/naive (The Fool), and of hope (The Star). These are the major energies of the spread, set against a backdrop of competing PR narratives and supported by the concern and consideration for HM the Queen and her personal wishes at this time.

Conclusion: Catherine wants to go to the funeral, and as a member of the seven working royals who now represent the BRF, she should attend. Unfortunately, her pregnancy is against this. Showing up with an pregnant body will ignite a new and fierce PR war with Meghan, who is already battling to make the funeral all about herself. It will damage the first public appearance of the BRF's new group of seven working royals, and it will take the focus of the funeral away from Prince Philip, something that no member of the BRF wants to happen. The BRF does not want to do anything foolish or naive that will start a PR war, and it is concerned for the well-being of the child and its mother. As much as Catherine wants to attend the funeral, she is well aware of the consequences of her attendance, and she will be guided by the wishes of HM the Queen and what is best for the BRF as a whole.

I have a background in PR (for a couple of years I worked as an agent too) and from a professional point of view what they're doing with holivia is not that bad. As a fan I'm very upset and unhappy but when I see how they're handling things from a work perspective I think they're being smart. From what I see they're not going to confirm the relationship, they will let people speculate and tabloids write articles about them. When they're done, they can deny it and say it was just a friendship and blame the public for misunderstanding them. This allows them to do the bare minimum interaction wise (they only hung out two or three times at the beginning of January and were papped for like, five sets of pics) and they can keep the conversation going with the clothes and accessories sharing, moving in together rumours and all those PR 101 tactics. I know the pandemic is an awful time to stunt and it's very disrespectful to health care workers and I don't condone that, but if their PR team was told they didn't have an option and had to stunt to promote the movie, the way they're doing it is working. Also, about the public reception of the couple, most fans only focus on the fandom reacting, but to the general public she is not doing bad (some even praise her for being a badass and getting a young bf), and Harry is Harry, the general public is used to this image of him and most don't care (white male privilège in the industry, am I right?)

Sorry this message got long but I wanted to give my perspective on the stunt. I know we all are tired of seeing this shit going on and we are not happy with harry's image right now but I don't think this will damage his career, if anything it will give him more opportunities in the future.

Analysis of the PR Relationship between Liam and Maya

Okay, Liam and Maya made their relationship official in September 2019 through Liam’s Instagram post:

(notice how there are only two points of contact on his behalf, the two fingers on her waist and their foreheads. Doesn’t come off very relationship-y to me. I can’t say for sure, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this were photo shopped) 

Conveniently, this news came to light a few days after the release of his new single at the time, Stack it Up (shocker, I know). And what did we get? The same thing that happened with Zigi:

Maya Henry

But who is Maya Henry? The first real news we ever get about her is due to her father spending a whopping 6 million dollars on her fifteenth birthday party back in 2016 (more on that later). But what does this prove? That her father is incredibly rich, and has no issues spending millions of dollars on a single night if it means getting his name in the papers. He hasn’t just done this with Maya, he spent another 4 million on his son’s 18th and another 4.5 million on his own 56th birthday, and both somehow made headlines (paid promo maybe?)

That’s not even the best part... They tried to do their own Kardashian style reality TV show but it flopped massively. 

(Literally the only place I could find it anywhere was dailymotion...)

They have a Facebook page, but most of the videos have been set to private on YouTube so you can’t watch pretty much anything on the page anyway. There’s probably on average 50 interactions per post (and that’s me being generous).

Maya started her own YouTube channel early 2018, but that didn’t gain any traction either (it’s currently sitting at 16K) and there are no videos on the page at all (I’m pretty sure she’s deleted them off, although I can’t find copies of them any where, probably because no one actually cared to download them).

I will admit, she was doing pretty decently before she was connected to Liam, had even done a few international covers for magazines like Elle Romania and Vogue Ukraine.

But Gigi had walked the New York Fashion runway at the age of 18, a feat Maya herself didn’t seem to be nearing. However, Gigi also has a lot of connections that no doubt helped her gain a following (her “friendship” with the Jenners, as well as her connections with Swift and her mean girl posse).

But how does an increase of following help you career wise, isn’t about talent? You may ask, and I would have a hard time not chuckling at the question, because talent has nothing to do with it (Miss Gigi “I’m still learning how to cat walk” Hadid is a testament to that).

As for the answer, an increase in following leads to an increase of fans, which leads to an increased likelihood of more people buying the shit her name is attached to - makeup, accessories, clothing lines ect. - and increased viewership that have her (and her ‘best friends’) starring in. *cough* Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show *cough*. 

But one thing in particular that really stood out, was Gigi’s ‘relationship’ with one Zayn Malik... you see where this is going?

Why Liam?

Now, unlike Zayn, Liam didn’t really have any bad press he needed to distract the general public from. However, he pretty much only had three different talking points in interviews; ‘his son’, Cheryl and One Direction. Those three subjects no one really cared to listen to anymore, because it was the same bullshit over and over again. Enter new (but also extremely old) topic: a new girlfriend!

It gave the papers something new to talk about (although funnily enough, they would always end the article talking about Cheryl and her kid), someone Liam could use to promote himself a little more. So although the benefits were heavily leaning to her side, there still was something in it for Liam, and she had already been linked to him in the past, an easy set up.

Maya’s Age (this is where you’ll either feel really grossed out or extremely pissed, fair warning)

Now this is where shit gets hella shady. According to articles, Maya has been 19 since last year: 

Using the fact that Maya’s 15th birthday was in 2016 as according to this Daily Mail article detailing all the expenses and a little bit of quick math, it’s easy to see that she only turned 19 in February of this year.

Now, your eyebrows might be furrowed right now, and you may be asking why does her age matter?She’s still a legally consenting adult. However according to articles, Liam and Maya had actually met back in 2015 at a One Direction Meet and Greet:

This shit has me feeling sick to my stomach (I did give you a fair warning) because this is the second time Liam has been linked in some way to what some could argue somewhat child grooming behaviour. Because not only did he meet her back in 2015, when she was actually 14 despite what the papers are trying to tell you she was 15, he apparently started dating her back in 2018, when she was 17 years old:

Realising their mistake, my guess is that Liam’s team tried their best to have her birthday changed a year earlier, so as to make people think they started dating when she was 18, to make their relationship more acceptable. But the damage had already been done, and when someone made a thread on their twitter pointing out this fact, some absolute idiot decided to use Liam’s twitter to try and discredit them:

Despite the fact that neither Liam or Maya were tagged in the thread, meaning that whoever was behind the keyboard would have had to go searching for it, especially since the thread probably only had a few hundred interactions before, they drew eyes to it. (The tinhat in me wants to believe that this was actually a smart move made by Liam to show people just how shady their relationship is, but I highly doubt that fact considering how creepy it makes him look 😒)

And, because people were smart enough to actually read through the thread, they weren’t buying what whoever was running the account at the time was selling:

Conclusion

Maya and her family are crazy thirsty for attention. They tried to acquire that attention through spending millions of dollars on birthdays parties to gain headlines. Obviously not enough for them, they tried out their own reality TV show which somehow made it to season two before scrapping the whole thing entirely due to low ratings. Maya started a YouTube channel, it didn’t go as well as she hoped and then focused on Modelling full time. However she wasn’t climbing anywhere near as much as she would like, and since her father had no issues paying for celebrities in the past, probably had no issues with paying Liam’s team for him to play boyfriend, and try to recreate a Zigi situation.

Liam’s team saw this as an opportunity for a new subject to be brought up in interviews and headlines and decided to go for it. They fucked up with the age, tried to fix it and just made the situation worse, and hoped eventually everyone would just forget about it.
