On March 8th 1936 Oor Wullie and The Broons made their first appearance in the Sunday Post.
Jings , Crivven’s, and Help ma boab!! All words synonymous with oor we dungaree wearing hero.
Wullie and his gang have been keeping boredom at bay for decades in the typical Scottish town of Auchenshoogle.
The rascal has become an icon sitting on an upturned bucket in his famous dungarees as he plans the latest pranks and japes.
Fat Bob, Soapy Soutar, Wee Eck, Primrose (and don’t forget Jeemy the mouse) all join in the fun, with Wullie’s Ma, Pa and poor old PC Murdoch also playing starring roles.
Some famous faces have appeared in the strip over the years including Nicola Sturgeon, Ewan McGregor, Andy Murray and Amy Macdonald.
A 2004 survey voted Wullie ‘Scotland’s Favourite Son’, beating William Wallace, Sean Connery and Rabbie Burns in the top four
Everyone knows the Broons. Hen is still the tallest beanpole in Scotland, Joe’s still flexing his muscles, Maggie’s still as gorgeous as ever, Daphne’s still trying to get a man, Horace is constantly swotting and the never-named Twins are always up to mischief. And that’s not forgetting the brainiest Bairn in Scotland, the ever youthful Granpaw and heads of the whole clan - matriarch Maw and put-upon Paw.
Although they’ve only ever appeared in the pages of the Dundee-based Sunday newspaper, the annuals - which alternate year about between Oor Wullie and The Broons - are still flying off the shelves faster than Granpaw’s false teeth during a toffee apple eating contest.
The annuals are always in the top ten Christmas bestsellers at booksellers Waterstone’s.
While the two strips adhere to the traditional format there have been some changes over the years, not all go down well, like when hen they tried printing the comics strips in colour the 90s, Michty me! There were shoals of complaints from readers and they had to go back to black and white In the most recent annuals, Horace gets a makeover and is mistaken for Harry Potter, while other characters are seen clutching mobile phones, checking e-mails on laptops, singing on karaoke machines and watching satellite TV.

My headcanons behind all the dub names for digimon:
Adventure:
Taichi —> Tai. Very simple, making the name shorter
Yamato —> Matt. Took a try or two to get to this nickname, but also a pretty simple nickname
Koushiro Izumi —> Izzy. At first he was called “Kou” but then one day someone called him “Izzy” instead, because it was ‘more fun to say’ and it stuck
Takeru—> T.K.. When he was like, in kindergarten or first grade, there was another kid named Takeru, so T.K. Ended up being called that
Hikari—> Kari. Once again, a very simple nickname
02:
Daisuke —> Davis. Noticed that all of his friends have nicknames, and wanted one too. Davis was the first thing he thought of
Miyako —> Yolei. Probably was just hanging out one day and decided that she wanted to give herself a weird nickname, Yolei was the one that made it out
Iori—> Cody. Yolei’s the only one who really calls him this, furthering the idea that they were just hanging out one day, and gave each other nicknames
Extra: Wallace—>Willis. Someone mispronounced his name, and now no one knows which is right
Tamers:
Jianliang—>Henry. He got tired of everyone mispronouncing his name, that he just started saying, “Call me Henry”
Ruki—>Rika. A mispronunciation of her actual name. She hates it, but it won’t leave her alone.
Shaochung—>Susie. One day Henry told her that people have a hard time saying their names, so she should pick out a nickname.
Hirokazu—>Kazu. Once again, a very easy nickname.
(Think that’s all?)
Frontier:
Takuya—>Taky. Very easy nickname.
Izumi—>Zoe. A nickname she got from her friends in Italy. She liked it so she kept it when she got back to Japan. Sometimes shortened further to Z.
Junpei—>J.P.. he wanted to act cooler, so along with the magic and chocolate, he started to introduce himself as J.P. Zoe called him out on this when they first met on the Trailmon.
Tomoki—>Tommy. Again, very easy. Like how Thomas becomes Tommy.
Data Squad/Savers:
Masaru—>Marcus. I’m not even sure. His name just got corrupted one day and it stuck. He sometimes doesn’t even respond to his actual name now
Thoma—>Thomas. Thomas is his name, though sometimes people take off the ‘s’
Ikuto—>Keenan. Ikuto is his birth name, though when he got to the digital world, no one knew that, so they just called him “Keenanmon” Keenan eventually dropped the “mon” though
Chika—>Kristy. A corruption of her name that came about one day.
(I think that’s all?)
Xros wars/Fusion/Young Hunters:
Taiki—>Mikey. Jeremy wanted to see how many people he could get to believe Taiki’s name was Mikey, so one time when he was helping out a club, he yelled, “Go Mikey!” It confused the heck out of Taiki, but now people don’t know which is right. Tagiru just calls him “T.M.” At this point
Zenjiro—>Jeremy. First it was shortened to Jiro, then Jiro became Jeremy. Probably through a mispronunciation mixed with how the name Thomas became Tommy
Akari—>Angie. Jeremy is also behind this one. Probably the same reason he calls Taiki Mikey.
Kiriha—>Christopher. Christopher’s just his middle name.
Yuu—>Ewan. Tagiru gave him this one. Though, he’s not sure how the “an” part of that nickname came to be.
And, I think that’s it. Cause Hunters and Appmon weren’t dubbed, 2020 is just a reboot, and I’m not sure if/when Ghost Game is getting dubbed, so I can’t say.

the sweet spot for designing a fire emblem character seems to be 16-20 years old. Teenagers, too young to be fighting and dying for a nation but too old to be acting like that in support conversations: a perfect JRPG age. I wonder, if you compared the secondary demographics of Fucking Toddler (e.g. ewan) and Geezer (e.g. Wallace) who you’d get more of.

CATCHING MY BREATH, STARING OUT AN OPEN WINDOW
Donald Atwell is based on Doc from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. He is a 51 year old human, jewelry store owner, and uses he/him pronouns. He has no powers. Donald is portrayed by Ewan McGregor and he is open.
CATCHING MY DEATH, AND I COULDN’T BE SURE
Although, he had no proof of it, Donald was pretty sure that there had been more to life before Evermore, call it a chosen leader's intuition, but his memory didn't extend that far back. If there was anything to extend to. All he could remember was this town and the people within it. There were a few that stood out, Sienna and some others at the hostel and various places around town, but outside of some vague feeling that they were meant to know each other, and a love of jewels, Don didn't have much to go off of. After being in Evermore for a month or so, he became aware that there were weird things going on, considering some of the conversations he'd overheard, and there was a nagging feeling in the pit of his stomach that something had to be done. Somewhat against his will, people have gathered around him to ask for advice on what to do and calming words when they were stressed. It certainly wasn't always his choice to be the one in charge, leading the confused while confused himself, but Don wasn't going to turn any of them away. Not while they were looking for some kind of comfort. While Don hasn't figured everything out, in all honesty, he's barely figured out a single thing, he does remember working with gems and jewelry and the moment he opened up his store, things felt right. Not perfect, but right. And that was a start. Though he can sometimes have a pompous air about him, amplified with diamonds and priceless jewels in display cases, Don's heart is in the right place. He isn't as calculated and prim as he would like people to think, and it doesn't take much for someone to break through that wall to discover his true nature. His paternal instinct kicks in often and all he wants is the best for people in his life, even if he isn't the best at delivering that love to those people. He can be harsh but sometimes people need that, and he isn't going to hide his opinions to save someone's feelings. That just isn't who Donald is. He'll be there when you want him to be and when you need him to be without acknowledging that you do.
I HAD A FEELING SO PECULIAR
❀ Layla Holms: A regular customer in the store, Donald has come to look forward to her visits and the stories she shares from her classroom, she's easily one of the people he looks forward to seeing ❀ Phillip DeVille: Take about paternal instincts kicking into gear. Don can't help but worry about Phil whenever he runs into him around town. He wants to help the kid, but he doesn't entirely seem open to his advice ❀ Wallace Ellis: One of Don's closest friends, without a doubt. He's a little strange but who isn't? Many mornings Don will stop by for a coffee and get caught up just listening to all Wallace's stories
THAT THIS PAIN WOULD BE FOR EVERMORE

Pitch for a video game:
GENERAL IDEA
A choice-based romantic drama along the lines of “Detroit: Become Human” and “Life is Strange”.
You play as Demetrius Davids (voiced and mo-capped by Michael B. Jordan), a successful lawyer living in Seattle, Washington. At the start of the game, Demetrius ends his 5-year relationship with his girlfriend, Tanisha Wallace, over irreconcilable differences. The two then have a falling out which leads to Demetrius cutting Tanisha out of his life.
Six years later, depending on the player’s choice, Demetrius’ life can be in either one of four places:
1) Married to Dominique Wells, a fellow lawyer who is dealing with her deeply problematic brother, Lamar.
2) Married to Amy Potter, a florist and single mother who won full custody over her children from her abusive ex-lover Dylan.
3) Married to Joy Chang, a news reporter whose first husband, Jason, had supposedly died in a plane crash while serving as a Marine stationed in Afghanistan.
4) Married to Eduardo Cruz, a rising actor in Hollywood who is dealing with behind-the-scenes drama with his agent, Carlos.
Demetrius is happy in either of these relationships and things seem to be going well for him…until Tanisha returns to the fold. As the two exes grapple with their complicated past, Demetrius also learns that not all is right with his current marriage. There are secrets all over and it’ll be up to the player to figure out what those secrets are and how Demetrius will react.
Basically, you’re in charge of this dark, sexy romance movie that could end in either happiness or despair for our main hero and everyone else involved.
WAYS THAT THE STORY CAN BRANCH OUT
* Players can start a toxic love affair with Tanisha. Obviously, this won’t end well, but for players looking for a juicy, drama-filled story, this is one path to take. Players who don’t get involved with Tanisha will still have to deal with her as she plots your downfall with Demetrius’ other enemies (see below). Either way, Tanisha can either be an ally or a villain as you deal with the other major problems in Demetrius’ life (see below).
* Players who married Dominique will have to choose whether or not they will get on Lamar’s good side or bad side. Befriending Lamar will lead to him dragging Demetrius into his destructive schemes. Antagonizing Lamar will put Demetrius in danger as Lamar will be gunning for him.
* Players who married Amy will be harassed by Dylan, who wants full custody over their children. Dylan can be dealt with in many ways, such as directly getting him killed, framing him for a crime, or talking with him to reach an understanding.
* Players who married Joy will eventually learn that her supposedly-dead husband Jason is actually alive. Jason will want his wife back, so it’s up to the player to either fight him or be reasonable. Also, your choices will determine whether Joy stays with Demetrius or leaves him for Jason.
* Players who married Eduardo will eventually learn that Eduardo’s agent Carlos is blackmailing them for profit. The player will have multiple ways to deal with Carlos, such as outsmarting him or just straight up killing him. The worst ending would be Carlos leaking the dirt he has on Demetrius and Eduardo, thus ruining them for life.
FANCAST (voice acting and motion capture)
1) Michael B. Jordan as the protagonist, Demetrius Davids
2) Ruth Negga as the deuteragonist/major antagonist, Tanisha Wallace
3) Lashana Lynch as Dominique Wells
4) Elizabeth Henstridge as Amy Potter
5) Ali Wong as Joy Chang
6) Johnny Sibilly as Eduardo Cruz
/
7) Damson Idris as Lamar
8) Ewan Mitchell as Dylan
9) Harry Shum Jr. as Jason
10) Kirk Acevedo as Carlos

I can’t help but think this is a story directed at writers specifically. It doesn’t hit all the bases of a great story but i think it achieves what it sets out to.
Big Fish is a 2003 American fantasy comedy-drama film directed by Tim Burton, and based on the 1998 novel of the same name by Daniel Wallace. The film stars Ewan McGregor, Albert Finney, Billy Crudup, Jessica Lange, Helena Bonham Carter, Alison Lohman, Robert Guillaume, Marion Cotillard, Steve Buscemi, and Danny DeVito.

//I made a blog a while back for the agent who betrayed Maria. I wanted to make him a villain to play around with. I'm struggling with the FC,
Originally I was using Toby Stephens in his Bond era but ergh I'm not a big fan of his face and I like to want to stare at the faces of the people I'm playing/making gifsets of/including in my muses backstory..... soooooooooooo....
I'm thinking Ewan McGregor or David Tennant.........
because I now have this whole thing in my head about like a full character for him and his whole deal being he is so insecure and shit that's the whole reason he'd ended up going whacko.
Bio: HUGO WALLACE
005 - MI6
Cocky, arrogant, thoroughly unlikable. Hugo was known for being smarmy in a way he didn't seem to recognize. Hugo always seemed more concerned with what Bond was up to, with what missions he was on and how Bond was M's 'golden child'. A vicious jealousy ran in Hugo's bones and it just so happened that Bond was the subject of his ire for a long time.
Hugo looked like he had charm and warmth but in actuality he lacked both, though he believed he had it in spades. When Maria first met him as an agent she despised him in a way that wasn't built on tension. It was entirely different from her dislike of Bond which came about from pre-conceived notions.
Maria defied her gut time and again though, because she wanted to give him a chance. She felt for Hugo. In doing so Hugo globbed onto her and whilst Maria didn't mind for the most part being one of his few friends, it took a sinister turn when Hugo became possessive over her.
so....
