Another WIP of our beloved Ghoul Mayor Hancock, this time a cropped grayscale teaser (it will be in full color when completed) laying down some Goodneighbor Justice on a currently unseen foe.
Wanted to do some more action battle scenes and some pissy expressions and also share some more of my Fallout fan art WIPs for Fallout’s 25th Anniversary.

I'm working on some clothes and hair for Vandal, but it is slow, slow going. I just don't have the brain for making patterns, so I had to do the tape pattern thing. We'll see how it goes lmao.
(This was not helped by me cracking the base of my head real bad on the kitchen counter. I was trying to do measurements and kept going, "Ooh it's so confusing it's giving me a headache!" but uh, it was actually the goose egg on the back of my head.)

War... War never changes.
On this day in 1997, the original Fallout was released, introducing the world to new flavor of the apocalypse.
Pour out a Nuka-Cola for Wasteland too. Without it there would be NO Fallout.

Fallout 2: 25th Anniversary
Tumblr media
Another day, another anniversary! 25 years ago today, on October 29, 1998, Fallout 2 released to the world! Development of Fallout 2 had already begun during the original Fallout's development!
Happy 25th Anniversary Fallout 2! And again, thank you to the developers who made it!
Tumblr media
According to Leonard Boyarsky, this loading screen art from the original Fallout depicts a scene from one of Fallout 2's early drafts, in which the player was ambushed by lobotomites.
They would be saved by a “renegade brotherhood soldier,” as seen in the image.
Tumblr media
Fallout 2 was informally announced on October 18, 1997 by Tim Cain via Usenet, who mentioned that content fixed by the original Fallout's patch would carry over to Fallout 2!
Tumblr media
The Fallout 2 Official Strategies & Secrets guide provided a really nice list of individual developer contributions to the game, something I'd like to see more often!
Tumblr media
Fallout 2 is definitely one of my favorites, so heres to Fallout 2's 25th birthday, and to more Fallout!
Thank you to all the skilled artists, programmers, writers and designers who worked on this game!

Fallout's 25th Anniversary is running all month long so wanted to squeeze in one last fan art WIP.
These are all part of the same illustration. Slowly chipping away at it. 💀

We here at Fallout Ghoul Zine want to wish the Fallout franchise a very happy 25th anniversary!
To celebrate, we’re announcing contributor applications for Vol 2: Greetings From Gecko will be opening Monday, November 7!
What we’ll be looking for:
Cover Artist(s)
Illustrators
Comic Artists
Fiction Authors
Merchandise Designers
Production Assistants
Pinch Hitters
We will be favoring fresh faces for this volume so if you were not accepted or called upon as a pinch hitter for volume 1, definitely apply again!
Those who previously contributed are welcome to apply again, however we would prefer you apply for a different type of contribution than the first volume (IE: illustrators for volume 1 applying as fiction authors for volume 2).
The zine will be rated M/18+ so all contributors need to be 18+ years old at time of application. We will be including an optional NSFW ‘addendum’ for x-rated content so if your work is decidedly adult in nature, there’s space for you!
Get your samples ready and keep your eyes peeled for when the applications go live!

Fallout’s 25th Anniversary is happening now, and Bethesda commissioned this artwork for the event! Of course, being from the newest single-player entry, Nate is front and center, but there’s representation for each of the canon games.. can you catch all the references?
And you’re asking, what event? This event!
Tumblr media
Go grab a free copy of Fallout 76 now if you’ve got Amazon/Twitch Prime, and if not, well there’s gonna be a free week of it coming up soon as well! I do like how they’re also giving away extra stuff on 4′s Creation Club too, which, if you didn’t know, already DOES a 100% discount on smaller items Bethesda themselves create each week (thus, mod authors aren’t losing any money), so you can get most of it’s items without ever paying a cent.
While of course I think the paid mods situation was handled poorly, a reminder that most games Valve’s created started life as a mod, and they’re some of the best and most popular titles ever made. The concept itself isn’t flawed, but implementation is, although that’s another story..
