I don't see where your assumptions come from since I have never bashed Yui. Yuriko has interacted with Yui blogs in a friendly manner and I do think the two could make great friends.

I have also said publicly that I adore Yui. So… not liking her? Okay, I admit. I'm not a native English speaker. Maybe I have misunderstood the meaning of "to adore"? Please, feel free to correct me. I'm still learning this language after all.

you rb something from my art account and mentioned some marina, and not to be nosy but who the hell is that

oh boy, strap in for a loooong story. I was gonna answer this privately because i just know she can sniff her name out in a crowd and will come for me, but I saved it as a draft and because tumblr is such a marvel of technology now there's no option to answer privately anymore so 🙃 Gonna put this under a cut. Fandom drama ahead.

Basically Marina is a a user who has been involved in a lot of fandom drama (that she keeps starting). She ships Roche with Ciri, and I assume she's a monoshipper (or whatever you call the opposite of multiship) because she can't get it into her head that other people ship different things. She insists that Ciri is the one true partner for Roche, and has been going around harassing people who ship Roche with other characters, mostly Iorveth, because that's the most popular pairing for him, but I've also gotten some flak for shipping him with Geralt. On the other side she goes around to people who ship Ciri with other characters as well, most prominently whenever people have wlw ships for her (Marina is homophobic, it's clear from some of the asks she sends).

Lots of people are uncomfortable with Roche/Ciri (Or VernonCiri, as is the ship name she uses) because of the big age gap, and more specifically the fact that Ciri is only barely out of her teens (I've got some age gap ships myself, since that's just a thing that happens in a fandom with characters that reach supernaturally high ages, but where I get uncomfortable is when characters that aren't quite settled into adulthood are involved, and Ciri is shown throughout especially the third game to still be quite immature in a lot of aspects)

Anyway, this aversion some people show really grates on Marina, and she keeps insisting that people's refusal to ship something equals harassment and "throwing shit" at her ship, when really I've not seen many instances of people actually talking badly about her ship outside of trying to explain why they don't ship it.

Marina has a habit of stalking the tags of Roche and Ciri, as well as rorveth, cirys, vesiri, many of the ships she doesn't like, and then sending hate to the people who post things she doesn't like. I assume this is what happened on your art blog, since when i went down it and found the old ask she sent you, you'd posted a picture of Roche and Iorveth before that, and I think she just assumes it's ship art whenever those two are shown together, regardless of context. She'll often say things about ships not being canon (funnily enough neither is hers, but whatever), Roche or Ciri not being gay, or asking why X ship and not VernonCiri. She also keeps insisting that her ship is not pedophilia, which none of us ever claimed it was, so.

She's also sent explicit modded screenshots of her ships to people unprompted (and by explicit i mean nsfw), has taken credit for other people's mods, as well as plagiarised a friend of mine's edits by recreating the set of images exactly except with the models swapped out, with no mention of any "inspiration" or credit. Over on twitter she quote retweeted a fic summary i'd tweeted, copied the summary and swapped out the character names, then blocked me so I couldn't see, and when called out for it tried to claim that wasn't plagiarism and that I shouldn't take it so seriously.

This whole thing got to the point my friend made a callout post because there was just so much harassment going on across so many different throwaway blogs, anon messages, and even different platforms. If you want to see everything she's done (or did up to the point that post was made) here's a masterpost with all the receipts.

It hasn’t happened on this blog yet, but on my previous blog I’ve always gotten a few anons critiquing me for shipping Mills with people other than Mox. But yet I never got shit for shipping Mox with other people. It makes me a lil salty that apparently for some people it’s okay to ship Mox with everyone under the sun but Mills has to stay in her canon pairing. Just something I’m thinking about today.

I will admit, I haven’t seen too much of the vilification of darker content myself, but I have heard it’s something of a problem. I think it also boils down to if you’re writing a character people like or identify with in a way that they don’t see them themselves, it causes that friction. What I have seen is a lot of blogs throwing mud around at each other over different opinions regarding sexualities and other things - what should or shouldn’t be, when in reality, there’s only so much canon material to go off. If people want to expand the character and imagination in other ways, why not? 

It’s not a great place to be right now, and I find it difficult how anybody could argue against that. I haven’t been around too much, haven’t been posting - but I still watch, and there is so, so much aggressiveness. Everyone is ready to fight everyone else, and if you have one disagreement, one little slip up - your head’s on a pike and you’re entirely blacklisted from all the big, active writers. It’s messed up. Even with working on bettering my own communication skills, it’s not something that would fly in real world settings, so why does it become so prevalent here? Block people that you need to, cater your blog for your own comfort, but man - if you’ve had friends and writing partners in the fandom for years, and suddenly it’s a case of you don’t owe anybody anything and nobody gets close to anyone over the internet, we’re all strangers? I can’t really work with that, myself. I’d much rather try to resolve a problem if I can, especially if I care about someone. 

Probably said far too much of my piece already, but just know you can always come and talk to me, anon. I appreciate your message, and your concerns. I’ve honestly just been having so much difficulty aspiring to write anything at all. Maybe I’ll get back to it in a little while - but it has been nice to just. Turn off from all of the bullshit, do some of my drawing and focus on getting my own life in order.

Who Said You Can’t Like Villains?

I didn’t want to make this post but it’s gotten to the point where the Fandom Drama (or Wank, as we should call it) has been pushed to point of harassment so it’s time to talk about this.

Backstory: There’s currently ongoing drama between The Owl House fans and Belos stans. On one side, there’s the Owl House fans who are upset about the behavior of a sect of fanatics who are making Eda, Luz, Caleb, Camila, Darius, and other characters out to be the bad guys while Belos is being apologized and for lack of a better word, woobified. On the other side there’s the Belos stans who believe they are the victims of Dana Terrace secretly hating Belos and the onslaught of people who say “You can’t like villains”, and are claiming that they are on the receiving end of harassment. Both sides of the argument are receiving harassment, and I will not doubt be getting harassment due to talking about this. There are claims of death threats, and if those are true please REPORT them.  Real humans are being brought into this: One of the talking points from the Belos stans is that Dana and her crew secretly hates Belos and there’s some kind of conspiracy that she changed the show just to spite them/because she’s a Belos hater. This isn’t true. She WROTE the character, has made fanart of him, and he was never meant to be a tragic hero. She wrote him to be a bad person. He tries to murder Luz, Eda, King, and Lilith in his second episode. And that’s okay! There’s nothing wrong with writing a villain who is bad! Who Said You Can’t Like Villains? Nobody. Well, somebody did but that’s not what most of TOH Fans are mad about. The reason the Belos stans are getting criticism is not because Belos is a villain but rather because people feel that he’s being justified and that these people are putting other characters down, as well as feeling harassed when they speak their opinions. A lot of the anger from TOH fans has been due to justification that makes Luz, Caleb, etc out to be terrible people who hurt Belos, and that Belos is an innocent character who was justified. There have been people on twitter on the side of the Belos stans using eugenics speak and “he didn’t know better” or “Belos was justified because Caleb left him” as arguments which is why people are mad. Ultimately, if you enjoy Belos as a villain, that’s okay and cool. I personally am a Belos fan and have been for a while. Villains are cool. But that’s not why people are upset right now. Stop making Luz/Caleb/Camila out to be the bad guy and stop making excuses for Belos. Enjoy him as who he is, a flawed human who made a bunch of bad choices of HIS OWN FREE WILL, rather than a sad baby who needs to be rescued from the evil showrunner.

My experience with the worst most toxic parts of the IWTV fandom

Okay, there are going to be details here that are changed or admitted for obvious mostly safety reasons. And I personally don't care if you think I'm lying, but it was still a scary experience and I do think there are people in the fandom that need to be aware this crap goes on all over fictional characters. So warning they're going to be mentions of threats a violence, doxing, harassment, the works, It was bad.

Okay a few months ago. I kicked the hornets nest when it comes to the worst part of the interview with the vampire fandom. I had engaged in some fan discourse. Made a couple of posts. A lot of it had to do with defending the added diversity with the casting of Assad and Jacob. Theorizing about possible characters in the future that can be race swapped how it could be a good thing and how it could be historically possible. You get the idea. I love what the show is done with all the race swapping it has added so much to the story.

And then all the sudden I woke up to my inbox being full of over 100 anonymous ask that ranged from the average calling me evil racist. I didn't know the books. How dare I it was ruining the story. I should kill myself. The usual online internet harassment. It was horrible. And they kept on coming and would not stop until I shut off anonymous ask. And they will remain off because of this but again I had well over 100 messages to go through. And it took me well over a week to go through them but when I got to like the last I think 10 one of them stuck out. Not because it was particularly bad because apparently I pissed off the Armand people who don't realize how creepy it is and kind of comes off as pro pedophilia when all of you insist that he has to be 17 much less the racist issues. There's a reason it took me over a week to go through all the messages they made my skin crawl. But this particular message scared the crap out of me it was a death threat with my home address. Someone cared so much about a fictional character. They tracked down my address and threaten to kill me. So guess who immediately started screenshotting the rest of the messages. And had to make a police report. Do you know what it's like having to explain to cops? Yes, I got a death threat with my address over a fictional gay vampire. No, getting death threats over Tumblr is not new to me unfortunately, but my address was new and that I want documented. So being harassed by a couple racist book purists turned into a police report and me buying security cameras. Thank you Tumblr. I nearly deleted the app.

I don't even know if I want to finish the Vampire Chronicles books now because of you idiots you took it way too far. And the worst part is I'm white. I can only imagine what you idiots are doing to the fans of color. Again someone tracked down my address to threaten to kill me. But again it's documented. I filed a police report and if any of you idiots try something I got cameras now.

And for all those who are going to be demanding proof well I thought about sharing a redacted screenshot or maybe a redacted version of the police report. But I decided I would ask the cops what they thought just to be safe. I'm glad I did because they advised me not to do that and they explained to me there is technology out there that if someone really wanted to they can remove that redacting. And I already have one crazy person that knows my address and is threatening to kill me so I don't want another one. So everyone is just going to have to take my word for it. However the cops were all for me sharing my story because of the rise of things like swatting. A in a nearby police department had to deal with a middle schooler (so a 11 to 13-year-old) who made a bomb threat at their school because they didn't want to take a test. So, they think this would be good for people to hear because what you do on the internet does have real life consequences.

So remember people the internet is real life. These things have real life consequences. And I'm pretty sure these people thought it was a joke. But now I have to worry about things like someone breaking into my house killing me or swatting. Which is something I didn't even think of until the cops brought it up. And it does affect my real life. I'm looking to move and hopefully we'll be out of my house soon. So, thank you, Internet stranger

So to sum it all up. The fandom needs to take a bunch of chill pills and calm down. Because we are literally harassing, bullying and threatening people out of the fandom. Again, I thought about leaving Tumblr due to this experience and now I'm having to move. Thank you. Interview with the vampire fandom please do better.

Cringe culture isn't just about fandom culture, or people that use terms like XD and rawr. It's about making fun of a group of people that isn't actively doing harm solely because you deem them "embarrassing". Don't say you dislike cringe culture if you stop at what YOU deem as cringe. Normalize doing whatever you want on the internet, as long as it's not hurting anybody there's no reason for you to be made fun of for it.

Something I noticed about Poison

*These two* This is a free transactional/thankful hand shake between two lovers who are abusers; Val is Overt & Vox is Covert.

(Please read what's above if you do not know what Overt/Covert means.) Note: These terms will be brought up again.

-Vox's face is smug, a sense of accomplishment residing in said smugness. - Additionally, he is gazing away from his lover to look towards Angels Bedroom.

-The, oh shit your up & walking face. (A massive tell tale sign someone feels caught; aka the victim or a bystander has seen the abuser in/after the act.) ^^^The drop of his heads posture/Widening of his eyes, mainly his hypnosis eye/His frown.^^^ (He uses his hypnosis eye for control) -Lil side note: The demon doing repair work, looks very uncomfortable, I think it's the only expression he makes. (This does not remove the fact that he has been drawn with a face of discomfort; engaging with apathy/sloth with a hint of sadness.)

-Vox is giving Val a gaze that speaks "are you going to keep things under control?" aka, Angel, the prized porn star. OR. You got this right? (simplified take) -Vals lip expression shows lack of enthusiasm plus lack of joy.

^^^Val uses this expression to show disapproval while asserting dominance. (A common tactic with abusers; both Overt & Covert abusers do this often as a means of utilizing fear. Because the victim knows they are upset & know what can happen when said abuser is upset.) + (Lowkey difference: Covert abusers are more carful about who is around to see/read that mentally abusive power move/Overt abusers usually thrive with an audience around.)

-This is the face of an abuser who has gotten away with it, through the aid of a lover. (It is not uncommon for SA abusers to share their victims/help other abusers SA individuals.) He knows that he got away with it, of course he did, they are top dog overlords who control minds & bodies through media influence. ^^^Vox gets away with keeping Angels truth a tucked away secret- (Him being raped via means of being drugged up in his own bedroom)-through Val; whom uses overt means of control, while Vox prefers his less tasteful habits be less known. Val makes sure what happened, stays unknown by others. ^^^Something something, birds of a feather or some crap^^^ (Match made in hell dead ass.)

*Reminder that this is Angels bedroom* -He's super disorientated, & has no idea what time it is & is most likely slowly processing what the actual fuck has happened. ^^^Recovering from being high out of his mind on cocaine & Vals Saliva/or the love potion made by Val & Velvet.^^^

-Background noise such as running water can allow some people to focus/calm down from a panic attack or both.

-He looks so hurt yet tired. (He's just sick of being so personally used as an object by genuine rapists.)

-It all comes back to him & hits him like a train. Edit note: I sent this post by mistake when it wasn't finished so I had to rush these last bits. (I can expand more on this in the future maybe) Last note: I wish we got a scene of Vox asking sex from Angel but that request is declined/ or invading Angels space. (Its very impactful but needs genuine breathing room outside of the music video.)

After learning abt what happened, I have nothing much to say other than I wish the best for cellbit, his family, and his viewers/fans as a whole, and if the rest of the Brazilian community chooses to leave the qsmp fandom I think most of us would understand

What happened to him was far past horrible and a lot of the qsmp fandom have been awful and xenophobic towards not only him but multiple other Brazilians

I really hope Quackity addresses it, (keyword, addresses, he's not entirely responsible if his fans decides to be horrible and nor can he stop them but I feel like a response to all of the drama is in order, considering they are his fans) not just as the owner of the qsmp but as cellbits friend

What cellbit had to do/say in order to clear his name against accusations, accusing him of things that were lies to begin with, and on top of that information from his private life, was so far past an invasion of privacy.

I literally never take part in discourse or drama and I wouldn't even touch Twitter with a 10-foot pole, but I just wanted to say that what happened was definitely not acceptable for community that's supposed to be accepting and that's supposed to bring people together

Xenophobia inside said community is especially shocking, and has the other (not racist xd) half of the community is reluctant to affiliate with the 'qsmp fandom' title AT ALL, understandably

So, for the love of everything good in this world, be kind and respectful to cellbit, be kind to the Brazilians, be kind. Be respectful. Just be a good person. Please.
