Okay, real quick before the Canadian pairs (btw, why is the opening ceremony 2/3 into the event?). VAST costume improvements by both the Lithuanians and the Finns, both teams looked really hot, and Allison and Saulius probably had the performance of their lives here, good for them! I was gonna roast the dance teams more but the stream got taken down, it looks like. I started watching midway through and when it ended, a thumbnail with F/G on it popped up and I was clenching for the rest of it, fearing the worst. Small mercies, but the comp sadly isn't over yet, and the teams are too close for my comfort at least. But even I have to admit the Italian RD is merda. Oh, am I'm pretty sure Carol went to Euros with S/F because she was worried they wouldn't get their minimums again 😩. I have to say, Dirty Diana skating to song titles such as Bad and Cheater is just 👨‍🍳's 💋. Btw, can you believe there's a Selevko brother on a Euros podium? Roman could make it a good day for Ukrainians if he so chose, I'm just saying.

And yay, Alicia and Paul! I was worried B/B would be pushed but they are sooooo slooooow ooooh myyyyy gooooood whyyyy are they so slow? Is it because the rink they train at has no boards and they're afraid they'll fly out? Seriously, why isn't this being addressed? They clearly have the power to skate faster, I just don't understand. Questionable choreographic choices and really messy transitions from them here. I'd prescribe a summer under mother hen Madison Hubbell, but she'll be on mat leave. Btw, the brain trust at Skate Canada with yet another cockamamie idea to have Charlie Bilodeau, notorious partner-ghosting turd, commentate. I swear, k2sh's outfit is carrying this broadcast on it's sparkly little shoulder pads. Damn, I hate to say it, but this even has the production value of a Wild Rose Invitational or something. I guess Alberta can't have more lighting because they elected a Nazi-adjacent government and now can't afford power. Alas, you reap what ye sow.

Opening ceremonies usually don't happen first, which is always funny, but it's like that for some reason. Love all your thoughts, the fear pun made me go "HA!" real loud, and Carol Lane got them their minimums, her power bob made the judges be kind. Although it's still utterly ridiculous that they got level 3 twizzles without mistakes, c'mon Carol, get them their features, what are you doing?

Of course, Albert is to blame for everything, they only pay GST on their taxes so they think they can get away with hosting Nationals in a basement. Sure, if I make 100$ here in Nova Scotia, I'll take home 86.96$, and in Alberta they would take home 95.24$, that doesn't mean they are allowed to get away with this! Fuck you, Alberta! It’s no secret that Mikey ‘I put on whatever I see’ Sano has little to no idea on what fashion entails. He’s always been simple in that regard - whatever is clean works, the only criteria he has followed all his life is for his clothes not to be too stuffy in case he needs to fight.

That is why you form such a funny antithesis. You, with your chunky high heels and matching bags, razor-sharp color choice and flashy outfits, and him; plain old sweater and skinny jeans (much to your dismay!) with maybe an acceptable choice on shoes. (you can’t really go that wrong with them)

It has never bothered Mikey. He likes watching you transform every day, he’s excited to see if you’ll be dressed like a supermodel or a library worker, and never fails to let you know that he loves every version of your wardrobe. In his own, ignorant way: He tries. If you want proper fashion advice, he’d redirect you to Mitsuya.

Speaking of, it’s not rare for you to have a three-person meetup. You and Mitsuya share a passion for clothes, and also for lightening the money load, so sewing your own pieces is more a mutual hobby than it is a nuisance.

+++ Still, on days where your friend can’t come, you always have Mikey to keep you company while you tatter away on your sewing machine. In between naps and curious questions (‘half-loop stitch? what's that?’, ‘what are you ironing the collar for?’) making that silk shirt you saw on Pinterest became a fun date with him.

You are a fashionista, and you accept the attention your title may bring. It’s not shocking for you to be the target of both compliments and remarks, and whether they slide off your back or not, there’s no need to even think about it. Your boyfriend will jump at the slightest affront, and then fix their mistake by telling you how that neon top does, in fact, not make you look like a clown, but like ‘that one super cool protagonist from the manga I’m reading with Takemitchy that I showed you last week’.

‘’s pretty cool.’ He mumbles it with no regard. Mikey’s already waiting, leaning by the door while you put on your gloss. You look back at him absent-mindedly. ‘What is?’ 

He raises his hands to gesture vaguely around his eyes. ‘the red thing on your eyes. makes them pop out, like, bam!” You infer he’s talking about your eyeshadow. 

‘It’s a reference to you.’ It was his favorite color, fitting for his birthday. You suppressed a smile for the sake of applying your gloss correctly. 

He gleamed a boyish smile as you stood up, and you could feel him move immediately, like a dog that’s been sitting still for too long. With a last look at your vanity (fringe is in place, mascara’s dry and ready), you walk with him to the door. You can only think whether the Babu's helmet will ruin your braid or not. You miss his mumbling in the process. 

‘That’s why it looks so nice.’

✧ 1.2 —   TANJIRO KAMADO

As opposed to the blonde, Tanjiro does have a slightly more refined sense of style - maybe Nezuko’s influence, or because he’s got a proper head on his shoulders most of the time. He doesn’t apply it to himself (his haori is ravaged from use), but it serves as nice reassurance whenever you decide to change it up.

From your color choice to the tailoring in the sleeves - Tanjiro has an eye for your fits alone. He doesn’t think of how this raindrop pattern would look good on Zenitsu or Shinobu: He only thinks about how it makes your eyes pop, or how it subtly enhances your waist. In that sense, he only has a fashion sense when it comes to you. 

More often than not, the comments you receive as a (rare and revered) Demon Slayer are thirsty at best and predatory at worst. ‘Come ‘ere, pretty!’ is as common as your name, low whistles sound like the bark of a dog. No matter, though; even if you know you could roundhouse them at any moment, there’s a warm comfort in knowing that your boyfriend is sending them a vicious glare their way. 

+++ Hate is more common from the Corps itself. ‘How will you fight in such heels? Won’t that skirt fly up quickly? It looks a little too tight.’ You can’t do anything but fight it, but you always seem to prove them wrong. Your high status is more than enough proof of your skill! 

Sewing is actually an incredibly sought-after skill in the Slayer Corps. Whether you patch people’s uniforms up for a quick coin, or do it only for your own pleasure, be aware that Tanjiro will be absolutely smitten with your ability.

+++ Don’t even think of making him or Nezuko a replacement haori. He might actually cry on the spot - I headcanon him as a very ‘acts of service’ kind of partner, so anything to lighten the burden softens him quickly. (Especially if his sister or friends are involved!)

‘Look in the basket, Tanjiro!’ Your excitement betrays all secretism, and the red-head smiles with a sliver of anticipation. He reaches for it rather quickly, and you can’t help but gear yourself to offer your reasoning the moment the gift is revealed.

Tanjiro opens the basket. A haori pours out, silky and indigo in color, with an excellent stitch that can belong only to you. (in the distance, you are talking about how you think matching haoris for you two would look cute, and how you had leftover materials, and-) For a moment, his world stops, and there are only three things he can feel: the softness of the fabric, a distant stream of words, and an overwhelming, suffocating love for you. 

You are still talking, by the way. ‘It may have been a little invasive. But I- Well, this color really suits you, with your hair color and eyes and all, and, I don’t know. I just wanted to make you something ni- Oof.’

A hug freezes you in place. You can feel the callousness of Tanjiro’s hand in the back of your head, tight, steady, like he’s holding a dream. It feels good. ‘Thank you so much, y/n. I’ll treasure it.’ Until death. Until it’s over. Until it’s just us.

Time to talk about the outfits, Flora and Beatrix being the best one to dress. It suits teenagers and definitely had little Y2K vibe to it. I wish Flora had more skirts but yeah it’s just me. Bloom and Aisha being next, they improved from the whole red and blue color coded clothes to more realistic ones. Bloom’s blue dress was stunning easily the best, loved Aisha’s outfit party too. Still there are those oversized outfits that Bloom had and it was weird for her. The last three are the worst, Musa was mess, look like a toddler trying to dress herself. (1/2)

Terra, seriously what that thing they put her in for the party, I got that she supposed to be a lesbian but you couldn’t find something better? Eliot Salt if I remember correctly is a lesbian herself and her suits are great unlike her character . They really did her dirty. Then finally we have Stella, look everyone I understand the whole rebellious princess they wanted to go with her character and I don’t mind it her writing was great this season that being said I still think they just rushed so fast with it! I didn’t see enough of Stella in S1 and her fashion wasn’t great either, so her moving away immediately without taking time to see more of her princess/fashionista vibe came out as if they were lazy to put her in fancy clothes. Maybe because Stella was my favorite fairy growing up that’s why I am upset about her the most XD (2/2)

I think I agree with pretty much everything you’ve sad nonny. Flora, Beatrix, Bloom were great, I don’t agree on the oversized not suiting Bloom (I think it makes a LOT of sense with her character and her journey this season). 

Aisha... You put her as one of the “Ok” and agreed. Hell, even more of a eeeeh than okay. The yellow bar outfit and the party satin suit were bangers and I loved them - though I wish she was in heels at the party. Considering Bloom and Stell were wearing super refined shoes and Aisha wanted to impress the alumni, I wish they had given her the heels. That said.... Can we just stop putting this woman in track suits. Please? I don’t give a flying fuck if her cartoon counterpart was sporty, stop putting her in freaking gym clothes!!

Now... Stella. Personally speaking, I have to say I loved everything she wore. Sometimes they felt out of place, but definitely fit MY style. However, like you said, for the fashionista princess rebel... No. I can excuse the first episode, but as it’s shown by both her getting closer to Beatrix and her letter to her mom, Stella tries a different approach straight after ep2. She’s playing Luna’s game. If she’s playing Luna’s game, I wish her looks were more fashionista yes and also that they reflected how trapped she felt. Everything she wore looked so damn comfy, I don’t want her comfy, she’s suffering! I want Stella in military inspired outfits! I want her wearing constricting clothing! Beauty is pain! 

Terra. Honestly, just preach anon. Nothing to add there. I liked some of Terra’s outfits in season 1 and it bothers me how she completely stopped dressing like that in s2, as if her coming to senses with her sexuality somehow was reflected in her style, which I just... Don’t agree? She’s such an absolute romantic and shy and just bashful. Lean into the femme!! 

Then there’s Musa. Nothing to say there, it sucked, I hope whoever keeps dressing her gets fired. Period.

We didn’t talk about the guys’ fashion but I do have a couple cents to throw. 

Riven’s outfits AND Dane’s this season all felt like they had thought put into it and they reflected something of the characters which I really appreciated. Sebastian was rocking his Just-Some-Guy fits.

Sky looks amazing in huge jackets and the slutty little knife holder in his back keeps me up at night. I didn’t love the brown suit tho, but I did like the 90s boxy style they went for. I don’t love Sky in black but it made sense with his emo phase so I’ll suffer in silence (please give me this man in cuddly sweaters, I’m begging on my knees).

Silva... Silva was suffering from Andreas S1′s disease. Was he only allowed 1 outfit? criminal. Bring back the dad sweaters!

Andreas - I don’t know Ken is too hot, everything he wears looks perfect. 1000/10. 

Grey needs to be shirtless more often. And get RID of that bloody fucking windbreaker. 

Sam looked awful, but in a good way because his character was going Through it. Very appreciated.

Since we are on Peter Hale, what are some of your headcanons for the Peter and Malia relationship?

I’ll be honest, I didn’t watch far enough in the original run to ever meet Malia.  THAT SAID!  I fucking love the “otherwise evil or shady dude who loves and supports his kids” trope so, uh, here’s a bunch of that.

-Peter finding all the ways to teach Malia what she needs to know to function in society.  Peter having a VERY DIFFERENT idea of what’s “necessary.”

-Peter focusing Malia on all the REALLY AWESOME SHIT she can do that other people can’t, like FULL SHIFT!

-Peter being the bestest morally ambiguous dad he can be.  His version of “the talk” involves fifteen ways to disable another humanoid.  He constantly slips blessed pocketknives into her bags, coats, etc.  He also slips protein bars in because he knows how much it sucks to apologize for “things you said while hangry.”

-Peter and Malia having a bonding moment over the fact that they like the same types of people (Stilinskis.  They both like Stilinskis.) and also both being constantly annoyed with/oddly fond of Scott.

-Peter buying Malia a motorcycle because GO FAST!  MUST GO FAST!

-Peter trying to find as many books on coyote myths and coyote magic as he possible can find through all his shady connections.

-Peter hunting deer for Malia while she’s in school so she can come home to her favorite snacks.  Peter making homemade deer jerky for her to take TO school.

-Peter and Sheriff Stilinski having a bonding moment over “kids these days.”

probably pretty busy and lives in the city. you’re more than welcome to stay at his place if you want, but he realizes that his luxurious apartment can get pretty lonely if he’s not there

is very apologetic on the nights he comes home late (which is most of them). but, you get to lay in bed and watch him take off his shirt and tie as he changes into his pajamas, so you’re never frustrated for too long.

just wants to cuddle and watch movies whenever he has downtime with you after work. he works a lot :( just take it easy with him

probably has a chef that will cook for the two of you, but also doesn’t really like people crawling around his apartment when he’s there (aside from you, of course)

he’s rich. that’s what i’m trying to say.

definitely dresses in suits every day for work, but has a pretty decent fashion sense outside of work. he works the expensive-looking, all black outfits. likes to match with you, but won’t outright say so unless if you ask.

likely adores the concept of those heartbeat bracelets? it just seems something he would be super into.

also has flowers delivered to your workplace if you’re comfortable with him doing such a thing.

he tries to make time once a week to have lunch with you, but you’ll likely have to come to his office if you want to do so. he always pays for the meal in return!

he likely worked seven days a week until the two of you got super serious. if you have a specific day of the week off, guess what? so does he now.

very much a cuddlebug. his favorite way to spend a lazy saturday morning, when he’s able to, is to stay in bed with you until 1pm.

he’s pretty introverted, but you’re one of the few people that doesn’t tire him out, so diluc’s absolutely enamored with you.

he’s not overprotective per se, but he knows how nasty people can be and he worries. if you’re working late, even if he’s not home, he appreciates a text whenever you get home for peace of mind. he’ll always text you when he’s working late, too!

speaking of texting, he’s probably very formal in texts. you could be like “ilysm, you’re so cute aaaaaaaa” and he would be like “Thank you. I love you too. I will be home later.”

uses emojis on rare occasions. it’s always just a smiley face or something simple. doesn’t really understand memes if you send them to him, but he’ll laugh anyways if it makes you happy. doesn’t really understand text slang or acronyms either.

diluc secretly likes if you send cute animal pictures or videos to him while he’s at work. if the two of you have a pet together, sending pictures of that pet would make him absolutely melt.

he also enjoys receiving selfies of you! he’ll often time text compliments that are often too brazen to say irl. things like Your eyes catch the sunlight and glow like gemstones. in that picture or You look adorable. I hope you are having fun! if you text him a picture of you out at lunch with friends.

he might suck at texting, but messages from you give him a brief reprieve from work ;;;

likes to cook with you. if you don’t know how, he’ll make time to take cooking classes with you. he finds it romantic.

also likes to drive when the two of you are in the car together. sure, it’s partially because he’s the owner of a nice car, but he primarily does it for one reason: to see your flustered face when he puts his arm behind your headrest when he turns to check that it’s okay to back the car up. who cares if his car has a backup camera? he’s going to do it anyways.

kaeya

kaeya is less busy than diluc when it comes to work schedule. he more or less has the 40-50 hour work week and can relax on the weekends. much more of a stable schedule than his brother!

which means, of course, more kaeya time.

if you’re working late, he WILL make you dinner. he’s big on doing little things for his s/o and he LOVES the way your eyes light up when you see cooking, especially his cooking, waiting for you when you get home.

he prefers to go on dates outside of the house! the two of you take turns planning dates and he likes to get creative with his. there’s an old retro arcade in the city? he’s taking you there. a cute little speakeasy nestled into a newer part of town? kaeya will surprise you with it.

kaeya 100% gives me art museum vibes. surprisingly, he gets flustered when you say that he’s prettier than the paintings that line the walls.

SUPER big on fashion. have you seen how he makes his knight uniform look good? yeah. 100% is a fashionista and rocks it. will also help you with your wardrobe if you’re not confident in it!

seems like a guy who would actually like to go shopping. if you don’t go shopping with him, expect a bunch of selfies of him in the dressing room mirror asking if outfits look good.

wayyyy less of a formal texter than diluc but definitely is probably bad at responding to texts. he’ll see your texts, register them in his head, and be like “i will respond to that in a second!” then immediately gets distracted and forgets

so yeah, he leaves you on read a lot :( not intentionally !!! he’s apologetic when he does for too long.

prefers if you drive because he’s too busy trying to show off that he knows all of the lyrics to your joint playlist on spotify. yes, he’s even memorized the songs you added, if only to flex.

when the two of you go out drinking, a lot of times it’s not together. you go with your friends and he goes with his, but the two of you text each other throughout the night to ensure the other’s safety. it’s one of the few times he ensures that he doesn’t leave you on read.

when the two of you first move in with each other, he gets excited to buy new furniture with you and eagerly looks forward to all of the simple little tasks the two of you will have to complete in order to move in with each other.

plasters you all over his social media. probably loses a lot of followers because of it (after all, he’s a hot guy who is no longer single) but still posts you incessantly, as long as you’re comfortable with it. he doesn’t really care about anyone else.

will start talking about how awesome you are to girls/guys who try to slide into his dms. it scares them off.

he adores your cooking, even if you’re godawful at it. to him, anything you cook is a five star meal! he’s very supportive of everything you do, even if you’re objectively bad at it

surprisingly likes to play board games? i feel like he would be a chess guy, but monopoly and the likes are fun to him. he’s not the best at video games, but he’ll be effortlessly good at mariokart. it’s almost infuriating the way he stays completely calm throughout every game, win or lose.

very much an impromptu kind of guy when it comes to romance while diluc is more of a planner. kaeya figures the best moments to sweep you off your feet are when you aren’t expecting it!

Idk if there's much point to going through each individual free because the issues in ice dance are above all systemic and we've already discussed them at length. That said, I think LaLa are the closest to a full package team, but even at their best, they're still at 90% of where they need to be to truly break through. They rebounded massively in the free but I think the injury early on in the season knocked their whole periodization schedule out of whack. I still prefer their overall material to anything else we saw here, but I can acknowledge that Zak in particular was off. Still, I want to be taken on an emotional journey by a program and they gave me that in spades.

Nicollage at least won the puffiest shirt competition among the Canadian men. I love them but he was so clearly struggling to keep up with her, and she was quite literally pushing him at times the way the female partner is sometimes dragged by the male one, just in reverse. I wish they'd just come up with a concept where they simply allow her to be the dominant partner. The traditional lead/follow dynamic is generally useful for social dancing with strangers but it's conveniently grounded in sexism, and what's the point of it in choreographed, practiced programs? V/M were great at letting Tessa lead once in a while (just look at their Finnstep), and that played a part in why they were so successful. The switchup in the jr pattern is a step in the right direction and it's time for the seniors to be a bit more vers as well. This FD for them feels like an afterthought, like their coaches don't know what to give them, the concept is tired and outdated, and so are the costumes. All of their FDs are starting to blend into one another. They're very smooth together and very connected, I just wish they were doing steamier material, seen as how they're the only couple in ice dance that looks like they're hot for each other. He's sooo shaky and you could see the fatigue get the better of him in the second half. With the placements from Worlds staying the same, I don't know if there's enough in it for them anymore. They need a fresh approach to the free, the RDs they've generally been great with. Her abs are +5, as always.

The Rocky I won't even dignify with an analysis because none really went into creating it, all I'll say is that Lewis is fabulous and he deserves the world, just not at this cost.

My feelings and affections about the Wuthering Heights haven't changed, I'll just admit that they've improved it since Skate Canada. It has some fantastic lifts but other than that I think it would've been way more suitable for a younger team. They just don't have the performative mettle to pitch it correctly tonally. The opening is very 80s ice dance and Paul's mullet doesn't help. It doesn't come together in terms of vocabulary of movement, it feels like they threw in each and every idea they had, so it flip-flops from retro to contemporary and back again throughout. I still despise the pink satin shirt, they need to rethink it if they want to capture the inherent inequality between the characters. They also looked shaky and tired in the second half, the flights must've been grueling. Their spin was the worst one here. Musically it has potential, though, I'd just bring in a fresh set of eyes to streamline and unify the choreographic choices. The hydroblade is cool, I just wish they weren't such awkward actors. Idk, there's something very Millennially twee about them, like they're a decade or so behind the curve.

G/F's free was my favorite here, despite it being in certain ways the most generic and predictable of the bunch. What I find appealing is the sincerity of their approach to the sport and they seem aware of their limitations and are working to correct them, unlike some other teams (ahem). For example, Charlene's posture isn't natural, but she's trying. The costuming is understated and classy, which is why I don't understand how they ended up with that goofy RD. I really like the music cut, you can't tell it's from four different movies. They're the best skaters, but their glaring lack of It factor kills them. The combo lift is based, and so are the spin positions. They're so tender and fold into each other effortlessly. They were the only team that maintained its energy throughout. I would've had them further ahead of P2, but I'll take it after the international embarrassment that was the NHK judging.

I have to say, whoever dug up that video of Evan doing the same opening pose with Emily ~15 years ago is a hero, because that tidbit epitomizes the thing that bothers me most about this program, which is that this whole concept is something a 19-year-old would think is cool. You know, when they first leave for university and they're listening to Pink Floyd for the first time, experimenting with drugs, discovering all these artists, but then they start reading about Dali being a N*zi and his internalized homophobia and the shit he pulled in his life and the whole disillusionment stage kicks in? That's where this program falls apart for me - at the lack of thought and depth. Their only saving grace is that their upper bodies move more smoothly than the other teams', but that's reversely proportional to their skating ability. Their patterns across the ice are choppy and sloppy, and their speed and glide are far inferior to their competitors. But what puts me off the most is that this is such a cynical approach to ice dance, and that's my issue with the Rocky as well - these teams aren't here to create something of value in the world, they're here for the accolades, the medals and the money, there's no deeper pursuit to any of it, and it seems like they'd rather die than give you a window into their souls. Maybe there's nothing there, we can't know. But at the end of the day, the rules are structured to prop up a team like this, so it's a "don't hate the player, hate the game" situation. Ultimately no other team has stepped up to claim the top spot a la P/C in 2015, so of course it'll go to the longest-tenured team. I just wish I could watch a competition and not yell "look how they've massacred my sport!" at the end of it. There's no emotion to this or the Rocky, it's all tricks and gimmicks, smoke and mirrors, thoughts and prayers. It feels like forever ago when the likes of V/M, P/C and H/D were duking it out, but it was a mere 5 years ago. How we got from there to here just isn't mathing. They feel fully comfortable putting just anything out there and then shamelessly relying on politics to get them where they want to go, which a slap in the face for the fans. Count me the fuck out.

LaLa were so amazing in the free, I love them so much. Agreed on all things, they easily had the best pair of programs at the GPF, that free dance makes me cry. I hope Zak can take some time between now and Nationals to rest, he did seem a little off. They always have a stellar Nats though, so I'm less worried about them.

You nailed it with the Canadanes. Imagine her with a technically proficient partner. Or, imagine if Nik didn't have knee issues. Le sigh. I don't get this free dance for them, I've watched it 3-4 times now and I cannot tell you a single moment from it. It's all-in-all quite forgettable, and that's a shame.

I don't even know what or who 'Rocky' is, so I'd be lost if you mentioned it anyway.

I agree with all parts of what you said about Gilles and Poirier but I am just going to rant about their spin for a moment: WHY oh WHY does Piper curl in on that first position? She is a skater known for her lack of posture, and instead of having her put her arm up and out to lengthen and open up her shoulders, they have her look like she's holding a giant beach ball. It infuriates me to NO end. Carol Lane, text me, we can fix this.

I won't lie, I just skipped the Italians and Chock and Bates. The former is too boring for words and the latter is too frustrating for words. You are correct on all things though, and I agree with all you said.

Working as a fashionista is a very tiring job, possibly even more-so when you’re the Ultimate Fashionista.

So when Junko gets home she’ll be tired from all the modeling she had to do that day, a cuddling session with her S/O would be something she absolutely looks forward to!

She’d definitely cuddle you in bed.

Junko would probably be the little spoon if we’re being honest here.

She’d lay her head on your chest, listening to the sound of your heartbeat.

Hearing her S/O feel relaxed would definitely help her feel relaxed as well, especially when she’s tired.

Please stroke her hair or back, she loves it.

Kissing her on the forehead would probably make her a little flustered.

But then she’d probably kiss you back right after!

I love your little next Gen ideas! Do you have a list of like who are all your next Gen Halliwell kids?

Oh, nonnie, you have no idea. I started coming up with a next gen series all the way back in early 2014, and I have story fragments and arc ideas and whatever else scattered across half of my footprint on the internet, including a very outdated wikia. It's evolved a lot since then (probably because it was like 8 years ago, oops), so some of this may change later on, but I'll give you the current rundown anyways. I've been meaning to post a list anyways, so this is a great excuse! I also included some important background characters, because I love them. There are more characters I'd love to talk about, but this is already so long and these are just the main characters.

Piper & Leo's kids

Wyatt Halliwell - eldest; first of the next gen. 23. Still Twice-Blessed because I don't count comics as canon. His power set is a little ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ due to said prophecy. He's very reminiscent of early seasons Piper as the mediator, compassionate, romantic at heart, etc. In the current series incarnation, he's working at Magic School as an assistant librarian while he figures out what he wants to do.

Chris Halliwell - middle kid; second of the next gen. 21. Unaware of the unchanged future (as are all of the next gen.) His predominant powerset is his telekinesis, along with like orbing. He's made it work through, especially since he's basically a fulltime demon hunter. Unfortunately, that doesn't pay the bills very well, so he's also working at P3 and Halliwell's. His personality is still very similar to his s6!self; he's intelligent, sarcastic, and incredibly independent. Also almost always in the thick of the trouble of the week.

Melinda Halliwell - youngest kid; fourth of the next gen. 19. She's the last pure witch of the Halliwells. She got molecular immobilization! If Wyatt's like early seasons Piper, then Mel is like later seasons Piper. She's very sarcastic and can occasionally dip out on her magical responsibilities to do her own thing, but she's still incredibly loyal to her family and always comes through in the end. Her current occupation is much more ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and I just have her listed as a college student in my notes. Still working on figuring out what she wants in life.

Phoebe & Coop's kids

Peyton Halliwell - eldest; third of the next gen. 20. She has premonitions and empathy, but her empathy is on her Cupid side and is currently limited to feelings of love. She's like the only emotionally intelligent one of the next gen, so she features heavily in a lot of the emotional beats for it. It helps that she also cares far more about helping innocents than fighting demons. (I want to expand on that but this is already so long, so another time.) She has her fair share of "blonde moments" (yes, I made her blonde because why not), and she's a bit of a stereotypically girly girl: romantic, sweet, fashionista, etc. She's currently a psych major in college.

Parker Halliwell - middle; eighth of the next gen. 17. She has telekinesis and the same kind of empathy as Peyton, but she basically ignores it. A bit more of a teen angst kind of character, Parker is brash, overconfident, and desperate to prove herself. Despite that, she's creative and quick-witted, v much inspired by teen!Phoebe and teen!Paige. She's in high school, but wants nothing more than to be a musician.

Patience Halliwell - youngest; ninth of the next gen. 15. She has premonitions and the same type of empathy as her sisters. She's sweet, a little naïve, but also very intelligent. She's pretty good at seeing things for what they are, so can offer a bit of a wakeup call to her sisters/cousins/friends when they need it. Stays largely out of the trouble due to her personality and being the baby. Currently in high school and dances on the side.

Paige & Henry's kids

Twins disclaimer: still considering if I want to change their powers so they're some of the most up-in-the-air. Also may switch their birth order with Mel's, but it doesn't really matter either way right now.

Charlotte Mitchell - older twin; fifth of the next gen. 19. She has telekinesis and orbing. She's very much a book smarts type of girl, creative, overachiever, etc. Halfway to a voice of reason, halfway to not really wanting to deal with the inevitable magical hijinks. She's in art history major, and is currently working at an art gallery or auction house to get experience.

Penny Mitchell - younger twin; sixth of the next gen. 19. She has premonitions and orbing. She and Chris are basically the two demon hunters of the family, but she's much more well-adjusted. She's honest, funny, and stubborn. Currently, she's a criminal justice and sociology major, but she's not sure what she wants to do with that yet. (I was originally gonna have her as a cop, but I'm not really keen on that now. I'm leaning more towards her working with DJ now.)

Henry Mitchell Jr. - youngest; seventh of the next gen. 18. The lone mortal of the Halliwell kids (may eventually change, we'll see.) Very well adjusted though, he's having a great time. He's intelligent and tech-savvy, but also kind of impulsive and a bit of obnoxious at times. He's a college freshman and has no idea if he wants to the journalism or biology route. (I'm tempted to make him go journalism because I'm a minor and know what I'm talking about there.)

Other important members of the next gen

DJ Morris - I fucked up the timeline so bad for this one, but I kinda forget it's not canon now so we're sticking with it at this point. Morris family moved back to San Francisco when DJ was young, so he's besties with the other next gen kids bc I said so. He's also 22 even though he should be older than Wyatt. He's a PI that ends up predominantly working on magical cases because I felt uncomfy having him as a cop anymore. He's very much the voice of reason and puts up with too much, like his dad. Unlike Darryl, it's because he's kind of a people pleaser and doesn't want to disappoint the people he loves. He's very compassionate, rational, and just wants to help people. Literally the entire next gen would go to war for him. (Consider it a next gen version of fixing the shows' bad choices with Darryl and the sisters.)

Michael Morris - honestly, he's v much a reoccurring character in contrast to everyone else here being much more main character but I wanted to throw him in as well. He's a lawyer in New York and he's very good at what he does! But also everytime he shows up, it's when demonic shit is going on and poor Mikey just ends up anxious and stressed because he doesn't do magic. honestly, here's a post from my personal about the Morris boys so I shut up about them.

Sebastian Johnson - half-manticore baby has been named! He's 23. He has the sonic scream and shimmering thing. He's flirty and an asshole, not a flirty asshole. Basically: he's charming, funny, loyal, but really likes trolling his friends. Not really sure what's going on with his career right now, might have him working with his dad as a mechanic but idk for sure.

Bianca Atwood - the myth, the legend, the icon herself Bianca Atwood!!! I haven't calculated her age yet, probably around like 26ish? Idk, but anyways: She still has her energy balls, power stripping, and knife summoning things but also I've kinda tweaked the power stripping so that she can make the powers she strips into one of those power balls to either use herself, give to the Phoenix, sell, etc. Most of the time though, it's just her powers along with her very dangerous combat skills. She's sarcastic, smart as hell, and terrifying, but she's also incredibly loyal to her loved ones and to her moral code. She has her own mini supporting cast with other Phoenixes, specifically the girls she trained with: Alessandra, Zoey (who I discussed v little here), Viv, and Roxy.

This is already a freaking book, but I could go into so much more detail about these characters or even the other characters I didn't mention because pretty much everyone has at least some individual supporting cast around them because like Patience has her dance class and Chris has his coworkers at P3 and Bianca has her coven and just oof, I love them all so much! For real though, thank you so much for asking me about them, nonnie, it really did make my day!

But I just wanted to say privately that that tweet you reblogged complaining about skinny women who don't dress fashionably... is really seriously upsetting? Many skinny women cannot dress fashionably for reasons of income or mental/physical health... or just have a different sense of style... or don't care about fashion... or are neuroatypical.... or a million reasons! No woman should be judged that way for what she wears, whether she's fat or skinny. I love that you celebrate fat fashion, but that doesn't have to come at the cost of hating on unfashionable skinny women. It's just one more way for internalized misogyny to divide us.

But it is upsetting to see skinny women lauded as some sort of "fashion genius" when 90% of the time they're not even well dressed. So yes, not every skinny person HAS to care abt fashion. But they don't have to. They simply don't. They get the same respect regardless and people act like they're fashionistas!

I put a lot of work into my blog and original content. I receive... Not many notes. Which, is fine. But no one can sit here and tell me I wouldn't get more notes if I was a bland skinny person with no fashion sense.

Even IF I was worried abt hurting skinny women's feelings (which I'm really... not.) they're never showing fat women the same regard.

E/C is canon - I'm pretty sure he asked her, but there may have been a choice at the beginning of the chapter that gave Casey the option (I don't recall). But, if so, I didn't pick that, so it remains Ethan.

T/C it is Tobias.

E/C - it's both, but they have a very classic, tailored style that is timeless. Casey seeks out fashion information to try to stay current, whereas Ethan could not care less. So I guess the true answer is Casey.

T/C - it is Tobias. He is a fashionista. Casey is not.

69. Who is the most likely to hurt the others feelings unintentionally?

Tough one.

At the beginning with E/C, the answer is definitely Ethan. He's still not sure what to do. With T/C, she is the one more likely to hurt his feelings. She's coping with PTSD and not always making the best choices. As time goes on, both couples learn to be honest with each other and avoid conflict, but it could be either at times.

70. Which of the two has the most dominant traits, aka., which of the two would their child end up resembling the most?

E/C - Casey. Emma is her clone.

TC - Tobias. But Brooke (their second daughter) does have a lot of Casey in her, she looks like a good mix between the two. But the other two, they're all daddy.

Listen, if I knew which exact bar those two went to and took a candlelit picture at I’d be there all the fucking time just on the off chance that they might show up. Heck, if I’m ever in Vancouver when they are I might just rush around to different candlelit bars on the off chance. So I don’t know where they took it.

But your real question is one I got–in a consistently panicked tone–from other anons here so I’ll address it. Were Jensen and Misha maybe not on a date at all but actually just sitting very close together at a candlelit table taking a ten-year anniversary pic and tagging it on social media…when there were other cast and crew (including Jared around) in the restaurant??? PERISH THE THOUGHT!!!

I jest, anon, and I get why y’all are worrying b/c the inevitable backlash of people being like “your joy is too much, Cockles shippers! for God’s sake, cut back on the joy!” is unpleasant. But here’s the thing, friends: it doesn’t matter. Yes, we’d like to imagine maybe it was the night of the three least ordered items and it’s at an overtly datelike and romantic location and it was just them but…if it was the two of them cozying up at a cast party that’s…not a problem. It doesn’t invalidate the romance of it or our happiness.

What makes the whole thing romantic is the way it happened, not whether anyone they knew was nearby. Say it was at a holiday cast party both times (maybe one held in the same location in 2009 and 2019, hence the caption). That STILL means that 1) Jensen took the first pic of them; 2) Jensen SAVED the first pic of them, either across multiple phones, or in the cloud, or (as I speculated) by printing it out; 3) Jensen remembered the anniversary of that picture; 4) Jensen thought to recreate that picture and asked Misha to; 5) Jensen decided to post it to social media with a sentimental caption. The fact is that that shit is fucking romantic and it doesn’t matter one bit whether their castmates were at the same event. In fact, maybe it’s WORSE! Imagine Jensen pulling Misha away from a party to recreate this photo he has on his phone…so much more obvious, in a way, then doing it if they just went to dinner together. 

I actually believe the photos are both from cast and crew Christmas parties! For one thing, I think Misha is wearing that same checked shirt that you can see in this photo where they are doing…whatever it is they’re doing:

Looks like it to me! (Kudos to @jensensitive for having that other xmas party photo on hand.) Sure, it’s later in the night so they are drunker and sweatier and have some seriously blown pupils, let’s be real, but that’s the same shirt and even though Misha likes to recycle it’s sufficiently…distinctive that makes sense. 

ETA: @jensensitive says it’s a different shirt and def not from the party...she’s probably right, since she is about most things, and the check looks narrower (which isn’t something, like the colors, that could really be affected by lighting and filters). I’ll let you fashionistas decide for yourself. But my original point that the presence of other people at a cast party where this picture may have een taken does not invalidate its romantic context totally stands.

You know what else makes sense? Jensen being able to remember the date and the place b/c there was a party there and because after the party…maybe…something happened between them. (Or maybe it happened before. Or maybe not yet. This is all conjecture and headcanoning and I hope you all know that!)  All I’m saying is that if you’ve been trying to work up the nerve to hit on your coworker who you’ve already spent a year being fascinated with what better chance to do it than at the office Christmas party? (Plus Cockles historians know) some tension between them was evident in the moment captured above and the whole emcee act that they did that it is taken from.)

To recap and reassure, then, I’d go one better on your question and say that yes, it’s more than possible both times were at the SPN cast and crew holiday party or afterparty. That’s why Jensen could confirm things like the date, location, and table. And that fact makes zero difference to how sentimental and romantic it is to recreate the photo and post it in that particular way. I would certainly believe you if you told me this was also an anniversary for them because it provided a catalyst to take their flirtation into something else…but that also doesn’t HAVE to be true to make it romantic. (Also: this would mean that the “three least ordered items” story is from a DIFFERENT NIGHT, probably the previous year, and that means they have multiple romantic night stories and we are all dead.)
