Happy very cloudy Halloween! The Pancakes decide not to have a party since they had one last night and Bob will need to work tonight. After a quick breakfast the household splits up as everyone has their own tasks to do this morning.

Bob of course wants to get his work out in before shift. Fergus is in a patch of hyper focus with his ADHD and decides to play mad scientist in the treehouse. Eliza decides to do a dance workout since she cleaned everything yesterday and finally Onyx is set to walk Ginger again.

Eliza is dancing away when she pulls a muscle in her back.

Eliza: Ouch! Oh, maybe an adoption is a good idea, I will be a 40 soon

Thinking on this she carries on, working on her other muscles. Outside it’s hard for Onyx and Ginger to make out where they’re running but the pair do their best. Ginger isn’t sure why her dad isn’t taking her for these jogs but supposes Onyx is an alright substitute.

Onyx: I’m back home dad, Ginger is all walked

Bob: *grunts with effort* Did you tell your mother

Onyx: No, she’s busy practicing speech and I didn’t want to disturb her

Bob: Smart choice

Onyx begins their cheer routine, they still have some more solo practice to fit in. All is going well until they fall over on their face. They push up looking around but Bob is busy working his legs and hasn’t noticed. To celebrate Onyx pulls off a perfect flip!

So, I thought I had a, however slight, preference for season 3 fics but this month I've not read a single season 3 fic. I started a couple but found that I wasn't in the right mood and I'm keeping them for later. I guess there are phases in life and I must be going through a phase where I need to read things that put a smile on my face and certainty in my heart. I'm in need of fun and trust. I'm in need of comfort and familiarity. And where to better find all those feelings than in the outstanding creativity of the Good Omens fandom?

It's a slightly alternative universe where Aziraphale and Crowley have somehow never met each other until the present day and each thinks the other is a human.

Each of them has been tasked by their respective head offices to retrieve Raphael's trumpet and each of them wants to find and destroy it. The trumpet will be sold on earth at an illegal auction and in order to gain entry to the auction they have to pretend to be married.

This fiction has it all, characters' personalities are spot on, humour, wit, dynamic, romance, everything.

At the beginning you might feel slightly put off by the first person narrative but give it a couple of chapters and it will flow.

You won't regret it!

We have got to that point in the story where the plot is really interesting! This fiction gets better and better! Rated M

I do have a soft spot for enemies-to-lovers AU. This one doesn't disappoint one bit. Crowley and Aziraphale teach science and literature in the same high school and they hate each other (aw... how cute are they when they hate each other whilst being attracted to each other?). When Beelzebub is injured just before the school trip to Paris, Aziraphale has to step in to replace them. When he agreed he didn't know that the other teacher accompanying the children was Crowley. Everything you're looking for in a sweet, funny, romantic enemies to lovers fiction ensues. Highly, highly recommended. Rated E.

Excluding my favourite WIP, this is the best fiction I've read this month. Human AU set in lockdown... in a cottage... aawww. Aziraphale knocks a stranger apparently unconscious and gives him CPR. Only after does he remember he has been exposed to covid. Funny, witty, sweet, hot, this fiction has it all. Rated E.

She felt it long before she even opened her eyes, before she felt the sun hitting her face, before she left her room and faced a new day. She knew it before she heard your voice.

She was familiar enough with the fire that gnawed at her insides, with the roar trapped in her chest, with the beast that lived within her to know it. It needed you, it always did.

Elinor felt terribly guilty for dragging you into all this trouble, for having offered your father the favor of the crown in exchange for your presence. She hadn't done it with bad intentions, of course, she had only been carried away by the fascination you aroused in her, but that didn't change things.

It didn't change that she knew you were in danger here. Because as long as she was alive, the bear would always be hunting you, insatiable in its need for you. She felt it every day and every hour, the force with which the beast fought for control, and she was terrified of what would happen if she stopped fighting.

She had only lost twice. The first time was when she had hurt Merida, which had left her scarred with guilt and fear. The second was after killing Mor'du and protecting her daughter. She had been so tired that she finally let the bear in her take control, losing herself in her own mind until her daughter's love brought her back.

But that had been different. So you hadn't been a deciding factor in her battle. If she was honest, she had no idea when it had started, she only knew that at some point you had become the only thing she agreed with the bear and therefore the only weapon she really had against it.

However, it didn't take long for her to realize that it was not a solution at all, but another problem. Because the price was too high, and she wasn't willing to pay it.

The bear wanted you, needed you, but she couldn't give it free rein. She feared what it might do to you if she did because deep down she knew that the beast wouldn't mind destroying the world, that it would be willing to do anything to have you.

That was something Elinor couldn't allow. So she, in her own way, made a deal with it. She would let it take a bit of control at night, she would let it call you and have you, as long as it promised not to hurt you too much, not to break you. And always inside her rooms.

It wasn't something that satisfied either of them, but it was all she had to offer. She always felt terribly guilty when she heard your timid knock on her door and the partial darkness enveloped her to make way for the bear though.

She only hoped that one day you could forgive her.

Your legs went weak and your hands shook as Maudie nervously whispered to you that the princess required your assistance in the royal chambers. That was bad news for you.

Princess Merida was usually funny and kind to you, always telling you about all her adventures as if you were her childhood friend and even challenging you to archery contests (you had managed to win twice, but you suspected that she had had mercy on you).

Queen Elinor was a wise and caring monarch who always put the good of her family and her kingdom above her own. People admired, respected, and loved her for it. She was an opposing force that perfectly balanced her husband's rudeness. Where King Fergus protected, the queen led. They were a wonderful team.

That's why you didn't understand why, when it came to you, the queen could be a little...selfish.

She had been fascinated with you from the first moment she had seen you. It was she who chose you as a maiden, who made you her favorite, and although you should feel flattered and grateful, the truth was that you felt more and more like a trophy, the favorite toy, not of the queen, but of the bear.

And it is that, although the spell had been broken a long time ago, the queen's eyes turned dark and the force with which she took and marked you was too much for a simple human.

So if the princess was calling you to the royal chambers, it was probably because the bear was on the loose. It was always about the bear with you.

"I-I'm busy" you tried to excuse yourself, but you knew it wouldn't work

He act more distant and don’t pay attention to them but if they touch him on a sensive point ( like his family or something /someone he care about) he is ready to hit back . So Everett Clopton and Medea Pharmak are on his black list .

He will remove a problem if it that bother him or the others

Himself as quidditch champion ( as he always dreamed) with his family cheering him up

Fergus know we have to work hard for having what we want and it great to feel a certain satisfaction when you finally got it.

For him it’s easy as eating chocolate cauldron :)

At first peoples ( including a jealous Orson and Imelda Rey ) thought Fergus and Samantha Dales fancy on each other but it was just a misunderstood .

Fergus is pretty close of his friend /rival Imelda ( who secretly like him very much )

For Outlander 31 day challenge, day 4.

Favorite Fergus Scene

I love young Fergus for all his mischief, his inter actions with Murtagh, Claire, and Jamie. But older Fergus is wonderful. You can tell he still idolizes milord. After a lifetime of being through one trauma after another he’s still able to be a dashing, charming, funny man. He’s brave in his criminal undertakings. He’s loyal. And he’s smitten.

My favorite is his wedding scene from season 3 ep 11, Uncharted. Though Marsali really shines here in comedy, it’s Fergus that brings the heartwarming factor. Through the start of the wedding he’s taking the bit about his hand without offense or anger. Then it comes to his name… he’s at a loss because he doesn’t have a name to give his wife. The genuine smile that blooms when Jamie gives him a name is so sweet. He then give his new name with pride, like he’s been wishing for this for 20 years. And he’s just so damn cute for the remainder of the ceremony. He’s had such a hard life and I love that his wedding (when they finally get to it) brings him so much joy.

Warden Elissa “Sparrow” Cousland, Chapter 3: Alistair

Elissa has had two experiences with mages at this point in her life: the time that they healed her, and the time the templars told her not to talk with the mages maybe an hour before this moment. She likes mages and is curious about magic – the fear she had driven into her as a child has been questioned since she lost her faith in the Chantry when she lived on the streets of Denerim, and she's distrustful of Templars in general.

So Alistair making fun of mages but treating them like people while also making it clear that he likes them over the Templars or the Chantry? This was a good, if complicated, first impression.

Alistair came across as funny and a little hurt. Both of them were shy trying to figure one another out, but they were also quickly cracking jokes with one another about a wide variety of topics. The two were fast friends, which makes what happened later all the more tragic.

There are some that speculate that Alistair kept using lyrium to use the skills he used in his Templar training, which flies in the face of a simple truth: Alistair was taken from the Templar order before they could give him his first dose of lyrium. Nonetheless, he can use Templar skills as if he were on the dust, leading to speculation that he was obtaining lyrium illegally from somewhere.

The truth is much stranger.

Sparrow and Alistair would eventually reclaim a place called Soldier's Peak, a largely abandoned Warden fortress, and would plan much of her campaign against Logain and the Blight from there. Among the wreckage was found a mage named Avernus, an old Warden who had been researching ways to distill and expand the benefits granted by the Joining.

Carefully (very carefully) collected research secretly obtained from Avernus revealed that the taint was able to take the place of lyrium when it came to powering Alistair's anti-magic capabilities. Further research revealed that Alistair's bloodline had been further altered in the distant past by some unknown process, granting him powers beyond mere humans or even other Wardens.

Alistair and Elissa famously had something of an affair that started and Lothering and ended sometime after events in Redcliffe. Elissa went off to Orzammar and left Alistair to handle things at Soldier's Peak, with the given reason at the time being that they did not want to keep both surviving Wardens in one location; the truth, however, appears to be that the two needed time away from one another.

Alistair spent this time rebuilding a lot of his noble ties. His heroic actions at Redcliffe and Haven percolated through the Redcliffe knights, and the secret of his birthright began to move through the men – the story of a secret prince galvanized the forces of Redcliffe, and the Arl of Recliffe was more than comfortable to take advantage of Alistair's heritage.

The question that neither Elissa or Alistair have ever answered is what caused the break-up between the two. They remained and remain friends, and were still joking with one another as early as their return to Denerim. Alistair was furious when Elissa effectively forced him to become king, and paid her back by giving her Vigil's Keep – but this was the sort of fury that comes up between close friends poking at one another, and it is well documented that both have come close to dying for one another and that both are in frequent friendly contact with the other.

This becomes more complex when taking into account Alistair's relationship with his half-sister, Goldana. To say that their tie is strained would be an understatement. She took money from him during the Blight but wanted nothing to do with him after that, but his ascent to the throne forced her to accept a royal title and lands in order to keep her safe. The two of them do not speak to one another, though Alistair is known to dote on her children as much as he is able and she allows. She was given a respectable stipend near Highever under Fergus, who recognized her five children and had them properly educated. She married into the knighthood following the Blight, but she and Alistair never reconciled and their relationship was never more than strained. 

(It is believed that Leliana and Anora once went to have a private chat with Goldana, which led to her not insulting Alistair nearly so much and being kinder to him whenever he was forced to visit Highever. The truth of this meeting may never be known, but it is known that someone matching Leliana's description once visited Goldana's laundry in the dead of night, and that Anora once demanded Goldana's presence in her private chambers. Whatever was discussed remains between the three of them.)  

Anora and Alistair's relationship was and is complicated. Alistair had many traits in common with his brother, Cailin, though his good nature and sense of humor were tempered by his treatment as a child. Alistair was more grounded and realistic than his brother, and much more aware of his faults. Anora loved Cailin, and Alistair's similarities to her dead husband were initially a stumbling block between her and the new king. Over the early months of their relationship, however, Anora came to appreciate the maturity that Alistair had over his older sibling, and the two went from mutual respect to friendly and finally did fall in love. Alistair's sense of humor softened Anora somewhat, and Anora's grasp of politics proved a good bar for Alistair to reach to.

They had three children together: eldest daughter Maris, middle child Logain, and youngest son Cailin. Alistair was a doting father who arranged blind fosterages at Highever, Vigil's Keep, and Redcliffe for his kids.  

Secretly, Alistair did have one child out of wedlock: before the battle with the Archdemon, it is rumored that he and Elissa spent the evening with Morrigan at the Witch of the Wild's insistence. Morrigan was later with child, and it is believed that child was Alistair's but that Alistair had nothing to do with the boy's upbringing.

Much later, Alistair and Morrigan met up again at Skyhold during the height of the new Inquisition. Alistair had a chance to meet the boy but did not reveal his identity at Morrigan's request. While their antagonism was well known during the Fifth Blight, Morrigan came as close as she ever could to apologizing to Alistair, telling him that she had told their child that his father was “a good man.” Morrigan also promised that their child would never take the throne, and that she was trying to be a better parent than her mother. Alistair is known to have commented that this did not set the bar especially high.  

Of note, Elissa and Alistair met the pirate Isabella in Denerim during the Fifth Blight. It is known that Alistair spent some small amount of private time with them both. The details of what they are doing are mostly private, though Leliana has let slip that it was during this time that Elissa markedly improved in swordplay. Aside from this, Alistair accompanied Elissa to Soldier's Peak, the Lake Calahad Tower, Redcliffe, Denerim, Haven, Oste.gar, and into the final battle with the Archdemon.

It was at Ostegar that Elissa, Alistair, Morrigan, and Leliana gave King Cailan a proper cremation and reclaimed the weapons and armor of the fallen king and the Warden, Duncan. They also retrieved the goblet allowing for the creation of more Wardens, though they did not make any more Wardens during the Fifth Blight (it is believed that neither knew how to alter the darkspawn blood properly at that time, though they would both learn the rites later).

When Alistair staked his claim to the throne of Fereldan, he started using Cailan's armor (modified by the smith, Wade), and using Duncan's sword and Cailin's shield. It's rumored that some believed that he was Cailan returned from the dead upon first seeing him, a thing that made Alistair distinctly uncomfortable but that the Arl of Redcliffe was happy to play upon. The armor was set aside after the Fifth Blight and is kept in a private collection that owned solely by Anora.

Here’s the script for genies and monsters unite.

One moonlit night, the genie team and their friends were sound asleep and all was calm and peaceful. Until suddenly, Dorie heard her little sister Caitlyn screaming in fear! Caitlyn told her big sister there was a monster in her closet. Ellie asked her what it looked like, but Caitlyn didn’t know. So the genies went into Caitlyn’s closet to investigate. When when they came out, they wound up in a whole different world. And that’s when they spotted 2 monsters. One was named Mike Wazowski. And the other was named James P. Sullivan or Sulley for short. They were playing with a cute little human girl who they call her Boo. The genies changed into their Kaiju fusion modes to blend in and they told them what was happening. When Caitlyn told them what had happened, they told them that they don’t use scream power, they use laugh power instead, which is ten times more powerful. Then Boo knew what Caitlyn was trying to say and she showed them a drawing she made of the very monster who scared her. Mike & Sulley knew who it was. They said his name was Randall Boggs. Caitlyn also explained that two of her boyfriends, Fergus & Marvin got scared of some monsters too. One was purple and had horns. Mike said it was Johnny Worthington. And the other monster had 6 legs. 14 fingers on its hands, and it had 5 eyes. Sulley knew it was Henry J. Waternoose III. They were put in jail for the crimes they did. But somehow, Randall bailed them both out. Sulley & Mike got their friends Fungus, Art, Terri and Terry, Don, Scott Squibbles, Tylor Tuskmon, Celia, Val, Smitty, Needleman and Roz to help. First, they went after Randall. But it was hard to catch him because he can’t camouflage. Then, Reanne set her glasses to infrared vision, allowing her to detect Randall’s body heat. When they found him, they gave chase, but Mirabelle got hit by the horns of Johnny Worthington & Ellie got trampled by the 6 legs of Mr. Waternoose! It was a rough monster battle! Waternoose tried to silence the genies for standing in his way, but Mike got a drooler cooler. It was the booger blast flavor, which was very sticky. The 3 bad monsters were soon stuck. And to finish the whole thing off, Sulley scared the 3 with the old Waternoose jump and growl! And the CDA came to take the 3 away. Randall vowed he’ll be back, but Boo just roared at him. After that, they all had a party at Monsters, Incorporated to celebrate their big win. They even went to Mike’s comedy class and tried all the interesting Monstropolis food. And Caitlyn learned it’s laugher they’re after. Tylor, Val, Fungus & Mike made Caitlyn laugh so much, she filled the laugh canisters to the max. Now they had enough laugh power to last for held a year. Sulley thanked the genie team for their efforts and Mike even gave them cards to remember them by. And official M.I. blue hard hats. And Boo even gave them drawings she made. The genie team said goodbye and they went back home through the door. Dorie was glad that Caitlyn has nothing to worry. Because next time a monster emerges from her closet, they’ll make her laugh by telling funny jokes. The end.

FGO Women of Argatha was messy Part 1

But I liked it anyway. And i had so much to say that this is gonna a be a three parter. Let me get the things out of the way which were *problematic* and then hear me defend some of those choices anyway in part 2 because they resonated with me. But seriously - I absolutely get if any of the following things are dealbreakers

Spoiler Ramblings under the cut

So Women of Argatha (WOA) wants to say something about gender, slavery and colonization and it does this with the most yikesy metaphor available ~IMAGINE IF MEN WERE SUBJUGATED~ And it is so terrible that they are killed/caught on sight and they have to form a resistance because if someone is subjugated they are beaten in public and killed on a daily basis and never ever treated right.

So I don't have to tell anyone that this is not how patriachy works. And it puts you in the mindset were the poor men have to defeat the evil/crazy women. The funny thing is that there is still sexism towards women in this story even from the good side. If you make supression to cartoonishly evil you cannot recognize it anymore... and to make the point the series wants to make it really should have taken another metaphor (but i will come back to this once i talk about the good stuff because the twist at the end makes it kinda work for me)

2. Fergus exists and he doesn't shut up. It doesn't matter how evil the women get - he cannot fight against them. It becomes funny at some point - and maybe its caricature IDK (So get ready for benevolent sexism)

3. Why do the child characters in FGO always dress in a way that makes me feel like i should be on a watchlist somewhere for playing it. Empress Wu Zetian has an interesting concept but her character design is SHIT!

4. It is certainly a choice to make the evil mastermind behind everything the only Black woman in the cast. And i get why but it implies still a lot of not good things.
