About my Illness Whump Guilty Passion:

I really enjoy it ^-^

The only whump content I enjoy is illness whump. (no others) Why? Because content around it is usually super fluffy and wholesome. (plus anime characters specifically look really cute when they're sick. The flushed faces, the messy hair and the cozy pjs... and the weak tired voices… gah its all so cute!! >w<)

My personal favorite trope to play with is high fevers, migraines, and exhaustion/fainting 🌡️

Colds/Flus are super fun too (tho I'm not too graphic on it as some people are) 🤧I'm not too into snz (its fine) but I do like coughing a lot.

I'm not into emeto as an actual emetophobic with irl people…💦 However, sometimes I can write it in an implied sense with little graphic detail. And at times I do enjoy reading it if its not TOO graphic. 🤢 (I'm better with it in fictional media and art, but if it's irl emeto with real people vomiting, then nope THAT triggers me.)

Reasons illness/caretaking hurt/comfort tropes are my favorite

I love when a usually strong, serious, stoic (or asshole) character becomes more vulnerable when they're taken down by illness (bonus points if they become super needy >w<)

Really great fluff fodder for a Parent/Guardian and Child type of relationship. Or even a found-family situation.

Super wholesome and sweet for shipping, siblings, or close friendships. In sickness and in health as they say :3

Well, I kind of needed this one because I've had a few shitty weeks recently, so thank you!!

Here we go (in no particular order btw)!

My cat! He can be so obnoxious sometimes when he doesn't know he if he wants to be in or out, but he's so cute and fluffy and adorable (also he snores really loudly).

My mum! We don't always get along, which is normal I guess, but we have a lot of fun doing excursions and just chilling at home just watching tv. Also, my brother to an extension but we're... y'know, siblings so I either like him or hate him.

Reading! I love to just get absorbed by the stories and lives of fictional characters! Is it a form of escapeism? Absolutely, but who cares when I can read the same tropes over and over again! (Enemies to lovers, grumpy x sunshine, found family ftw!)

Writing! It's not like I actually write, but the intention and ideas are there! I just make up a bunch of stories in my head that could be so amazing if I actually were to put them on paper. Maybe one day?

Just being at home! I love just chilling at home on my own. No one asking me to go out and do stuff, no one messaging me. Just let me be alone in my room to rot away doing the things I enjoy!

What’s your favorite trope in media? Question’s been going around. Personally, I’m a sucker for the bad turned good trope.

Found family ftw but like I love the trope of "traumatized person slowly heals from their past" or whatever name for it they've invented.

Bad turned good isn't too bad in itself (I've watched 2/4 shows those images reference) but it's not my favorite trope in the world.

For the Happy Ficwritter Ask: 10, 11, 12 and 14 (yes this is my excuse to read more snippets lmao)

This has been sitting in my drafts for ages because I had no snippet written that I could share 🙃 then I found it in my drafts today and realised, oops I did not complete this. So here it is, months later 🫣

10. Why do you continue writing fics?

I don’t think I could stop even if I wanted to. I have a lot of very vocal people living in my head. It’s like this little show that I’m privy to but if I want to talk about it with others, I have to tell them about this wild story that’s happening and this bizarre dialogue I overheard these two characters having. Also it’s really nice to get a response to what you write. If I was talking into a complete void, then I would not be sharing the stories because it’s really only fun if others enjoy it too. Also with fanfic, particularly Beyblade, we’re only treated to a brief glimpse of certain characters during a very short period of their life. There’s characters who never interacted and experiences we’ve never seen for them that I just want to explore and bring to life. Would Kane and Tala have these little bonding moments in canon, probably not. Would Hilary and Ian ride or die for each other in canon? Nope, but they do in fanfic. It’s so much fun to take these personalities and explore them in a post canon world or throw them onto a high school hockey team and watch their little worlds explode. It’s the best!

11. Who is your favorite character(s) to write about and why? Previously answered this but it’s always going to be Ian but also Mystel. Mystel is fascinating. Like from BEGA, who were the big bad of season 3, we got this kid who could leap up cliff faces and shared fruit and wore a mask and instead of being normal and communicating to his captain that Ming-Ming and Moses had gone to spy on Tyson, he suspended himself from a building, knocked on a window and just gestured. Garland has just come out of a room with Brooklyn, freaked out of his mind, looks out the window and his teammate is just literally hanging there! WHAT?! He’s awfully pretty but it’s his extra little attitude that just makes him so much fun. I do adore Mystel and he’s such a little shit in his own way. Do I love little shit type characters? YES. Yes I do.

12. What is your favorite theme/subject matter/trope/ship to write about? Why?

Friendship is magic? Is this a theme or a trope? I don’t know. Is it a My Little Pony reference? I’ve never watched the show, but I love friendships. I love boys being besties, I love girls being besties, I love frenemies and boy/girl friendships, lovers being best friends. I live for friendship and the strength that comes from that. You get great dynamics, and insight into characters through their dialogue with friends and how far they’ll go to protect that friendship. And I guess it feeds into found family, which is also something I adore. With SLTS it’s very much Kai finding his place on the team and the team growing and becoming better because of it. Kai’s growth as a friend through SLTS is my favourite thing because he starts off thinking he’s the best and maybe talent wise he is, but there’s more to being a good player, a good captain, a good teammate than just being talented. And the team needed to learn to let someone in, to stop being so insular and circling the wagons when they felt threatened. Also underdogs ftw! Who doesn’t love an underdog? But an underdog who’s trained and worked hard to earn their place as the ultimate winner. I love feeling good about a story, especially when you hit all those moments where it’s like, there’s no chance, there’s very little hope and yet… we still cling to that small iota of “maybe, just maybe this time?”. And when it pays off and you get goosebumps? I want to give that to someone. I want someone to read something I wrote and just internally cheer because they feel like they’re part of the team too and their win is the readers win.

14. Share a snippet (where Kai is at camp and he’s dealing with a whole bunch of egos)

“Well, well, Hiwatari. We finally meet.”

Kai stifled a sigh. Deacon would be one of those trash talkers on the ice. The kind Kai usually ignored, but today he felt plagued by an annoying little imp on his shoulder.

So, with a bland expression, he met Deacon’s gaze through his visor. “No, we’ve met before.”

Ire tightened Deacon’s features. “I meant on the ice.”

Kai shifted his hands on his stick and got low. “We’ve met there before too.”

“Tonight. I meant tonight.”

“Oh. Should have specified.”

The puck dropped, Kai swept and pulled it through his legs to his defence man.

The Urhona Legacy

Alright, I decided to kick off a new Legacy!...before even finishing the first. After some debating, I based it on a concept of the Knight and Consular sharing the Defender. Our two jedi best friends/rivals are as followed

Aridonn Urhona, former Child of the Emperor, force nerd, and all round absolute cinammon roll. (Outlander/Main)

And Vakasorin, hot-headed Sacking of Coruscant Survivor who acts as an Older Brother figure. (Found family trope FTW)

There're aspects I still gotta work out. Story progression, other characters, love interests, yadda yadda, all that stuff. However, I am always open to suggestions, so if you have any, hit me up!
