Reaper, the male tribute of District 11, using the very symbol of the Capitol to shelter/shield the bodies of the children they condemned to death from their prying eyes and deny them the spectacle that their captor's so desperately crave. All while daring them to punish him for being brave enough to act out against what they had planned, to actively seek to provide comfort and treat the fallen/fellow victims with dignity.

Only for this to unknowingly be echoed sixty four years later with Katniss. When she did the same for Rue. Providing that little girl's spirit a safe place to pass on from, giving her remains the respect they deserved after her life was snatched so violently from her. And unknowingly sparking the same ember, the one that barely managed to be put out sixty four years ago by Gaul, and breathing life into it until it became a flame.

Trying super hard not to obsess over the deliberate choice of having Oliver be dressed in a costume that has very heavy themes of Puck/Robin Goodfellow AND King Oberon for his birthday party while Felix has cheap golden wings strapped to his back in an outfit that just SCREAMS Titania (despite his mother being implicitly dressed as such-) in the way it symbolises Titania's refusal to reconcile or reunite with Oberon throughout the plot of A Midsummer Night's Dream, as well as her disdain for Puck and his tricks, which is further supported by Felix's own choices to make his costume the bare minimum for an event celebrating Oliver and his refusal to forgive or forget Oliver's lies.

A theme/symbolism which is only further emphasised with Felix doing the best he can to avoid him at all costs and Oliver refusing to let him do so for his own selfish needs and wants-

Highbottom fully had a vendetta against Coriolanus because of his unresolved emotions from the betrayal/breakdown of his friendship with Crassus Snow, but also just think of the greek tragedy that is the implication that he was trying to keep Coriolanus from going down the same path as his father (regardless of how ill-thought through his methods were) by being hypercritical of everything he did, nitpicking every little thing ABOUT him and doing his best to cut him off at every turn to dissuade him from pursuing power at the cost of his humanity the same way Crassus did.

The sheer irony of it all eventually backfiring on him and only serving to make Coriolanus ever hungry, obsessed with proving himself and instilling his drive to obtain and covet power so he can be on the top within the country he calls home.

Essentially ensuring that Highbottom had a direct and indirect hand in the creation of BOTH of the worst things to ever happen to Panem. The Hunger Games as a whole and President Coriolanus Snow.

Something about how;

"Irulan Corrino is her father's eldest, his most favoured and dearest child. The one most akin to him but still never considered enough. Especially for him and his ambitions. Something about

"Saltburn being so heavily steeped with Shakespearean symbolism that the Midsummer Night's Dream party comes to serve as a meta commentary. A way to remind the audience that this is an intimate perspective of the character's lives, giving us a bit of a reprieve from the performative aspects of the film and the specific/stereotyped roles that the audience have unintentionally fashioned for the characters within their minds throughout the flow of the film. Eventually causing us to find them evolving into something completely eerily other but still so distinctly familiar when Felix's death strips away the comedically glistening veneer surrounding the Catton family and rendering them just as human, just as fragile and weak as anyone with lesser means in an almost uncomfortably satisfying and deeply perverse fashion that makes you want to look away but also keep watching and take a bit of a look at yourself in the mirror for relishing it-"

Honestly, what is the bet that Coriolanus set the trend of the Hunger Games being primarily set into arenas fashioned after living/natural biomes during his time as a Gamemaker?

We can very clearly see in the prequel film that he is in no way comfortable in the outdoors, his only real interactions with nature in the og trilogy being secluded within his hyper maintained and sterile greenhouses/gardens. And with his background, it makes way too much sense that his past experiences growing up have heavily influenced his distaste for anywhere that leaves him overexposed.

So, would I be at all surprised if he took those memories/traumas and weaponized them against others? To keep himself in power? No. No I would not.

Got bitch slapped with a headcanon that Sebastian and Anne originally had very thick Scottish accents that slowly got tempered out of them by Solomon, who was wary of letting the kids go to Hogwarts with their original accents as a result of past instances where he and their father had been harassed/dismissed by other pupils and even dismissed from potential jobs/workplaces for how thick their accents were.

And that, as a result, their accents only really flare up now when they are fucking PISSED. And when they are exceptionally sleep deprived, which is how MC finds out about it when they're trying to help Sebastian go to sleep in the Room of Requirement after a night of studying.

Kind of got a fun little headcanon that there are actually WAY more people in the town of Edda who are fully aware of their status' as reincarnated gods and are just like: "Eh. It is what it is." and just go about their everyday lives as if nothing much has really changed with the occasional "YOU KNOW!" + "AND YOU KNOW!" moment spattered in.

I love this idea because it just makes Magne, Laurits and the others attempting to do hella sus shit in a completely unsubtle manner so much funnier when you imagine the handful of townsfolk, who always seem to be around for their shenanigans, just watching them and shaking their heads like: "Ah shit, Thor and Loki are back at it again."

My own little personal headcanon for why Ominis was put in Slytherin as opposed to any of the other houses, is the fact that it wasn't because he's a member of the Gaunt family or based from his fear of his family's ire if he was sorted anywhere else.

It was because of his ambitions NOT to be like them. His aspirations to do better, to be better and make up for the things he was forced to do when he was a child.

I could honestly see him growing up to have an administirial post within the Ministry or Hogwarts itself, one where he is directly responsible for the wellbeing of the students and being a safe place for them to reach out to if they are feeling unsafe either at school or in their home environment. Particularly those born with disabilities that could not be "fixed" and who were forced to rely on their less than stellar family members for support.
