Finola or Angelique Tulip, does anyone know which this is? Maybe I’ve got the wrong names altogether. I couldn’t find a tulip image like this in a web search. It was so crowded Mother’s day when I went 2 the festival sometimes I didn’t get close enough to find out the varieties name.

White tulips can symbolize different things depending on the circumstances. Traditionally it meant I’m sorry or a condolence message. During Victorian times in the book “The Language of Flowers” it meant pure love & passion. In modern times white is a symbol of purity & tulips a symbol of new life or pure love. White is associated with heaven & peace so good choice for religious ceremonies.

I’m not sure if this tulip meaning is correct or complete since it isn’t all white. There could be another meaning because this 1 has some pink margins & artistic green feathering or flames on the back of the outer petals. This is an annual 10 day festival which kicks off our tourist season. Captured at the Canadian Tulip Festival (largest tulip festival in the world), Commissioners Park (main festival site), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada May 14, 2023.
