Jhon Lumsden
In the Source Link, you will find a complete gif pack of Jhon Lumsden in Blood, Sex and Royalty. Jhon plays the role of George Boleyn, Viscount Rochford, the brother of Anne and Mary Boleyn.
George Boleyn was married to Lady Jane Boleyn, Viscountess Rochford, also known as Lady Rochford. George was said to have as many as his sister Anne's talents and all of her pride. He was executed along with many other men, after being found guilty of an incestuous affair with his sister Anne and plotting to kill the King. His original sentence was that he was to be hanged, drowned and quartered, which was later changed to beheading. He gave a long passionate speech before being beheaded on Tower Hill, on the 17th May 1536.

Katherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn
Part One
Two women destined to be rivals in love, in power and in religion. One is the daughter of royalty, destined to become Queen of England since she was a baby. Her first husband died suddenly, and she married her brother-in-law, the young King Henry VIII. The other woman is the daughter of a family on the rise at court. She has been educated in courts abroad but has returned to her native England to serve the Queen of England.
Katherine of Aragon, a beloved Queen by English people, had "failed" to give Henry VIII a son. The royal couple had a pretty and intelligent daughter named Mary. Knew her duty, Katherine was to keep silent and look the other way when Henry took a mistress, which she did. The young Anne Boleyn was the sister of the King's mistress, and she quickly established herself as one of the most stylish and accomplished women at the court. George Cavendish, Wolsey’s servant and biographer, has argued that Henry VIII was "casting amorous eyes" towards Anne as early as 1523.
In 1523, Anne Boleyn's life revolved around her duties within the Queen's household. Katherine liked to surround herself with attractive young women, often to her own detriment, and was a benevolent mistress to those who served her, never failing in courtesy towards them, and taking an almost maternal interest in their lives. Young men were made welcome in the Queen's apartments, and there were plenty of opportunities for flirtation. Anne had attracted a number of suitors, and one young man who was smitten with her charms was Henry Percy, the 21-year-old heir to the earldom of Northumberland. Percy was the Cardinal Wolsey's servitor at table; whenever Wolsey went to court, Percy would go with him, but as soon as he had been excused from his duties, he would resort to the Queen's apartments, there to chat and flirt with the maids of honour. Thus he had met Anne Boleyn, and before very long he had eyes for no one else.
According to Cavendish, Anne’s burgeoning romance with Percy was stifled by Wolsey, acting upon Henry’s instructions because the king confessed to his loyal cardinal that he had a “secret affection” for the lady himself. Anne was sent away from court in disgrace to Hever. She spent her time idly waiting for a summons back to court and the signal that she had been forgiven. By late 1525 or early 1526 Anne Boleyn was back in the household of Queen Katherine. Henry VIII’s affair with Anne’s sister, Mary, had ended some time before 1526. He was therefore looking for a new mistress during the early months of that year when he first noticed the object of his friend, Thomas Wyatt’s, affections. Wyatt may not, at first, have realised how serious the king’s feelings were and he attempted to compete with the king for Anne. Wyatt was sent away for a time to ensure that the way was clear for the king to make his advances.
Since Henry could not marry her Anne probably enjoyed a mild flirtation with him but, ultimately, stopped short of agreeing to become his mistress. Henry, who was used to women surrendering the instant he beckoned, was intrigued. It was new for him to be placed in the position of having to beg for sexual favours; far from being angry or irritated, he was captivated, and Anne at once became infinitely more desirable. According to Anne's biographer, George Wyatt, Queen Katherine tried to protect her maid of honour from the monarch’s amorous advances and Anne remained loyal to her queen: "how could I injure a princess of such great virtue?". Anne resisted Henry for over a year, frequently absenting herself from court and his presence. He cajoled and pleaded. He made promises and gave gifts. Above all, he wrote letters. Anne’s feelings were in turmoil following the king’s offer of marriage and she expressed this fact in a gift she sent to Henry along with her acceptance.
In May 1527 Henry initiated annulment proceedings to rid himself of the ageing Queen Katherine. He wanted a declaration that his marriage to Katherine was invalid. This would mean not only that Henry was unmarried in 1527 but that he had never been married in 1509. According to this line of argument, therefore, Katherine’s status was once more that of the widow of his brother Arthur – the Princess Dowager of Wales – and princess Mary a bastard. For Katherine, then, it was as though the Crusades were on her own doorstep. The “secret matter” started of for the queen as a straightforward struggle to make Henry overcome his unfounded scruples of conscience and return to her as her God-given husband, but it escalated over the years into a battle not just for herself and her daughter but for the preservation of nothing less than her “Holy Catholic Faith” itself.
In 1528, Henry housed both women together under the same roof at Greenwich. Henry began showering Anne with fine jewellery and clothes, and saw that she was lodged in splendid apartments close to that of the King. The courtiers made much of her, using her as an intermediary between themselves and the King, and she was soon revelling in her growing influence and power. To confuse things further, both Katherine and Henry still felt obliged to behave in public as if nothing untoward was happening. It seems that the queen went out of her way to meet Anne and Henry, singly and together, using her presence in an attempt to divide, or at least chaperone them. George Wyatt also talks of card games that Katherine instigated with Anne, in an apparent attempt to make Anne show her deformed finger (if you believe she had one!), and Katherine’s famous remark to Anne: "My lady Anne, you have good hap to stop at a king, but you are not like others, you will have all or none”. On the other hand, Katherine behaved impeccably, never showing any spark or kind of grudge or displeasure. According to George Cavendish, Queen Katherine showed Anne special tenderness:
Notwithstanding, she showed neither to Mistress Anne nor unto the king, any spark or kind of grudge or displeasure, but took and accepted all things in good part, and with wisdom and great patience dissimulated the same. She held Mistress Anne in more estimation for the king’s sake than she had before.
Perhaps Katherine decided it was safest to keep her enemy close and that her presence would prove restrictive to the pair, preventing them achieving greater intimacy or plotting her downfall behind her back. Also, she would have maintained that as England’s anointed queen of eighteen years, it was her right and her duty to be visible at court, in the palaces she had been inhabiting for so long, accessible to the people and served at table according to her due. She may have hoped that her presence would be enough to provoke Anne to shame or drive her away. Anne must have found the proximity to her rival oppressive and she often spent time at Hever in the early years of the divorce proceedings.
The Boleyn family received honours from the king. Sir Thomas Boleyn became Earl of Wiltshire and Ormonde; Anne's brother George received the title of Viscount Rochford, while she herself was in future to be known as the Lady Anne Rochford. At a state banquet held to mark the occasion, Anne took precedence over all the ladies present (who did not include Queen Katherine) and was given the place of honour at the King's side. 'The very place allotted to a crowned Queen', wrote the Emperor's ambassador indignantly. Henry was giving Anne every honour he could, every mark of respect – she was being openly treated as if she were already queen. Anne was given her own court, which rivalled the queen’s. Greater court, noted the French ambassador, was being paid to her every day ‘than has been paid to the Queen for a long time’. Henry was determined to show that he was deeply committed to marrying Anne. "kissing her and treating her in public as though she were his wife" according to the papal legate, Cardinal Campeggio.

Who should play Ted Kord in the DCU?
*slight spoilers for Blue Beetle in theaters now!*
I have now seen Blue Beetle twice now, and I absolutely loved it. From the cast, the cinematography, to the action and the drama, it may be my favorite DC movie. If I had one nitpick, I was hoping to see a little more inclusion, at the very least a cameo, of Ted Kord.
Ted Kord in the comics is the second Blue Beetle and the sometimes mentor to Jaime, sometimes deceased hero. In this movie they opted for a middle ground, Ted is missing, and does not appear in the film.
However in our mid credits scene, we find a message from Ted, stating he is alive and needs his daughters help.
While this excites me for future installments of the franchise, it did leave my wheels turning as to who should play Ted in a sequel to Blue Beetle. And I think I have some solid picks. First let's look at what has come before:
Live Action Depictions:
None. Sorta.
While Brandon Routh plays Ray Palmer, the character was set up and meant to be the Blue Beetle. He originally appears in Arrow, described as tech CEO who looks to use technology to become a superhero and challenge the Green Arrow.
However, before this season, Arrow mentioned Ted Kord and Kord Industries so much, one can assume that the character that would become the Atom was originally Ted Kord.
And there are a lot of similarities! Both use technology, both are dorky, corny and well intentioned smart dummies. I think Routh does a great Kord audition here.
We want someone charming, dorky, and even silly. Ted Kord is a silver age hero, and needs to feel like it.
Film Stipulations
For the first time I fancast, we actually have some clues and hurdles for casting.
We learn quite a bit about Ted Kord from the Blue Beetle movie. He is obsessed with the scarab, he fought in and for Palmera City, but wasn't iconic enough to be remembered by many. He was remembered foundly by Rudy though, who is played by George Lopez, who is 62.
Bruna Marquezine plays his daughter, who is 28, and Susan Sarandon plays his older sister at 76. Gaging this range we can assume Ted is somewhere between 55-65, so our actor needs to be in that age range.
We also know Susan Sarandon is very white, and Jenny is mixed, so we're looking for a white actor.
Characteristics
Ted Kord is a classic hero. He is corny, he is fun, and he is weird. We know he is obsessed with the scarab, so someone who can get a little unhinged would be good.
One aspect of Kord I loved from the movie was this inventions didn't always work. He was a genius but a janky one. I like the idea of mad scientist meets heartfelt hero.
We also need someone who feels like they've been a hero for a longtime, and maybe not always the best one.
Honorable Mentions
One interesting aspect of Ted Kord is his history of being adapted through other characters. We brought up Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer playing a version of Blue Beetle, but Patrick Wilson similarly did so.
Alan Moore's Watchmen character Nite Owl II was based off or Ted Kord. You can see it in his suit, gadgets and even ship.
Blue Beetle is often compared to Batman for being so similar. While he just made his reappearance in The Flash, George Clooney is in our age range and kind of fits perfectly.
While I'm usually against actors playing separate superhero roles, I think in this case it can be a fun wink and nod to the viewers, while oddly enough honoring the character.
So if Brandon Routh, George Clooney or Patrick Wilson want the role, I think they should take it.
Finally, a popular fancast and rumor was Jason Sudekais was taking the role.
I absolutely love this casting, and would be happy with it. But I want some originality in my pick, so I have my own as well.
So let's get into my picks:
3. Eric Bana
Starting off strong with an actor who has done superhero media but not in the DC universe.
You may know him from The Other Boleyn Girl, Star Trek or the Time Traveler's Wife, but most would remember him as Bruce Banner from 2003s The Hulk.
While Bana was wrong for Banner, I think he has the making of an excellent Kord. He has those classic hero features, the voice, the look, and I think the range to pull this off. He even had a solid comedic voice performance in Chip n Dale as Monterey Jack.
I do think Bana can play a generic once was hero, but I'd like a little more life in my Blue Beetle. So while I think he is a solid, my top 2 and honestly my honorable mentions would be much better.
2. Patrick Dempsey
Known for roles in Grey's Anatomy and Enchanted, Patrick Dempsey's character work leads me to believe he'd be a good fit here.
Dempsey has a voice that if utilized well, can be very silver age. I think his background in romantic comedies can be utilized with such a funny cast. Dempsey would be the dorkiest to put in the suit, and would pull off that mad genius hero line well.
My main problem with Dempsey is whether he can feel like a mentor. While the others on my list can pull it off, I don't know if I've ever seen Dempsey play the guy who knew what he was doing. I think he's got the chops for it and I'd be happy to see him try.
1. Stanley Tucci
Stanley Tucci is a gem.
I could list off his credentials for days but you probably love him from something. He has charisma, mad scientist energy, and can clearly rock the bald look The Beetle costume gives ya.
Tucci also has charisma with just about anyone. I can't think of an actor more widely loved in pretty much everything he is in. He would bring his A Game with such an incredible cast.
He's also had experience mentoring a young hero. He played Abraham Erskine in Captain America the First Avenger, where he mentored a young Steve Rogers.
At 62, he is right in the age range we want. He's got the build, he's got the charm, and absolutely seems like the type of hero who would make a Beetle Mech with a fart button.
Overall, I can see Tucci returning and playing Kord for several solid movies, even spinning off with my Booster Gold and having adventures, or making the ultimate sacrifice.
Either way, Stanley Tucci is my Ted Kord.

I've been working on this for more time than I'd care to admit cause I've been formulating like... 4 separate Fan Casts, but when @easily-distracted-ivashkov posted an ask about Casting I had to submit something. Then it got too large for an ask so here I am.
I'm not done with my TV/Film Fan Cast, but welcome to...
The Bloodlines Musical Theater Fan Cast
*Complete with vocal part & music samples
*all casting has purely been based on my completely mid level of musical actor knowledge and voice. Like 90% of this is all voice. I can't stress that enough
I also have two separate casts for this because its changed over the years. I call them the "Fancast 1.0" and the "Fancast 2.0 - Its Gayer This Time." And of course like with any good casting situation, when you use a couple different actors you need basically a whole new set for everyone else so... Please find them below:
Fancast 1.0:
Adrian - Tenor : Aaron Tveit
Think old school Aaron
-> Gabe in Next to Normal Aaron
-> Fiero in Wicked Aaron
-> Roger in RENT Aaron
And you know... maybe think some more recent Aaron...
Sydney - Mezzo: Barrett Wilbert Weed
Now, I don't want to start anything because Broadway Tumblr is notoriously... dramatic... but this is my fancast and frankly I think if I was a broadway actor people would get mad at me too for having boundaries and less than perfect vocal health so... give the samples below a chance
-> Wildflowers from Fugitives Song Cycle Barrett
-> obligatory Veronica from Heathers Barrett
-> Winnie from Everlasting Barrett
Jill - Mezz/Soprano: Joy Woods
-> Audrey from Little Shop of Horrors Joy
-> Cathy from The Last Five Years Joy
Eddie - Tenor: George Salazar
-> Grover in The Lightning Thief George
-> Obligatory Michael in the Bathroom George
-> Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors George
-> Where do the Lonely souls go George
Nathan Ivashkov: Brian Darcy James
-> Something Rotten Brian
-> Dan Goodman in Next to Normal (with bonus Aaron as his son for direct comparison!)
-> Barrett from Titanic (for something different)
-> Shrek from Shrek because I just like reminding everyone he was in Shrek
Tatiana Ivashkov - Caroline O'Connor
-> Countess Lily in Anastasia
-> Velma in Chicago Caroline
Trey - Everyone is a Tenor Now: Dan Domenech
(sorry for the closest thing I could find to a gif of him without heathers text)
-> speaking of have some JD in heathers Dan
-> Joanne in RENT Dan
Angeline - Is Sassy technically a vocal type? (Sop?): Andrea Macasaet
-> Obligatory Anne Boleyn in SiX Andrea
-> Mimi ... in RENT but like... in concert with Anthony Rapp as Roger?? Andrea
Jackie Terwilliger: Eden Espinosa
-> Elphaba from Wicked Eden
-> Cassandra from Tangled the Series (Her vocals tho)
Brayden: Matt Doyle
He's got it. I don't know what it is. But he has it.
-> Jamie in Company
-> Hanchen in Spring Awakening. Look its not singing... but its Brayden
-> Jasper in Jasper in Deadland to be nice because its a character that isn't annoying and he's a good actor
Micah: Alexander Brightman
-> Cut You A Piece Alexander (but also I just fucking love this Sydrianesque song to death)
-> A Little Bit Alexander
.......................................................................................
Same in Both Casts:
Jared Sage: Patrick Page
Ok but like, how could I NOT.
-> Frollo in Hunchback because Frollo is one of Jared Sage's past lives
-> Hades in Hadestown Patrick
-> Green Goblin Patrick because its on the same level as Brian D'Arcy James Shrek
Abe: Ricky Rojas
Listen, I've never seen him do scary, but I believe he could do it. He's definitely got fun and cheeky down. I'd love to see him dress like a mobster. And look how expressive he is. I fully believe Abe can Tango.
-> Ricky (and Aaron) Singing Tennessee Whiskey because listen to that man siiiing
-> Santiago from Moulin Rouge but just the audio cause youtube aint got any videos
Marcus Finch: Alex Joseph Grayson
Tragically Tumblr has no gifs and thats a travesty
-> Hercules in Hercules
-> Jim in Parade (THOSE RIFFS)
-> Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar
Zoe Sage: Sophia Anne Caruso
But literally exactly in the vocal tonality of Beetlejuice. I don't make the rules
-> Obligatory Beetlejuice
Sheridan: Orfeh
This might be a surprise. Maybe. But like. Imagine all of Sheridan's war crimes. All of her actions that raise the Geneva convention to the ground. Now picture those words coming out of the mouth of someone who sounds like the Nanny Named Fran mixed with some kind of Bostonian Dolly Parton. JUST IMAGINE IT.
-> Paulette from Legally Blonde
-> Orfeh Singing from VOTE!
-> Audrey...2 in Little Shop
Donna Stanton: Natalie Mendoza
Ok so it almost more her acting than her singing, but hear me out: Natalie Mendoza does an amazing job on stage portraying that she's keeping her real thoughts hidden. Its almost a waste to make her Donna stanton because her comedic timing is top notch and underrated. Also she can sing.
-> Ok I couldn't find any examples on youtube... but trust me on this. She's fantastic
Malachai Wolfe: Chris Sullivan
Yeah, that guy. He also played Taserface. Do with this information what you will, but also hear him in the Off-Broadway Hadestown
-> Hermes from Hadestown Chris
Lee: Jeremy Jordan
Listen, I know its a small part for Jeremy, BUT he goes from 0 - 100 on the little nerd man to deranged murder man and Lee needs that
-> Seymour from Littleshop (again) but this time Jeremy
-> Clyde from Bonnie & Clyde Jeremy
-> Light from Death Note the Musical Jeremy. This is not a joke. (second singer)
Clarence: Danny Burstein
-> Adolpho in The Drowsy Chaperone
-> Tevye in Fiddler
Carly Sage: Christy Altomare
-> Freedom Inside MV
-> Wendla in Spring Awakening
Rowena: Rachel Zegler
-> As Maria in West Side Story
Emma: Taylor Lauderman
-> Little Miss Perfect
Duncan: Derek Klena
-> Jagged Little Pill
Alecia: Sam Pauly
-> Obligatory SiX Katharine Howard
-> Come From Away
-> The Wild Party
Lissa: Ashley Loren
The Sparkling Dragomir ~*~**
-> Satine from Moulin Rouge
-> Belle (with cats) from Beauty and the Beast
-> Elsa from Frozen
Rose: Anna Uzele
-> Catherine Parr in SiX
-> Francine in New York, New York
Dimitri: Christopher Jackson (circa In the Heights Era)
I don't like Dimitri, but if he's gonna be there, I'm gonna get an Actor that makes me like him. He better have killer fuckin pipes
-> Benny in In the Heights
-> Obligatory George Washington in Hamilton
-> More Benny because I'm obsessed
Neil: Jamie Muscato
He's like the musical theater Hugh Grant of the west end. I'm gonna get flack for this, I know, but the guy is like the watered down British polite version of every character he plays. Its a whole vibe on its own, and frankly, its very Neil.
-> Evan Hansen Jamie
-> Enjolras from Les Mis Jamie
Chantal: Ariana DeBose
-> Tony's Opening Number
-> I MEAN SHE EARNED THAT OSCAR IN WEST SIDE STORY
Keith:

In the Source Link, you will find a complete gif pack of Sophie Boettge in Blood, Sex and Royalty. Sophie played the role of Jane Boleyn.
Jane Boleyn was born as Jane Parker, she was by birth, the second cousin of King Henry VIII and became the sister-in-law of Henry's second wife Anne Boleyn when Jane married Anne's only brother George Boleyn. She was known as Viscountess Rochford or Lady Rochford, she later became a lady-in-waiting to Jane Seymour, before the same position to Anne of Cleves. She testified that Anne had confided in her that she and Henry had not consummated their marriage, which allowed Henry to annul his marriage to Anne of Cleves and marry Catherine Howard.
Jane maintained her position as lady-in-waiting to the new queen. Jane was arrested along with many people and the Queen after rumours about her past surfaced. Suffering from a nervous breakdown to months of mental abuse from the interrogations, she was legally pronounced insane and unfit for trial. However, Henry manipulated the law so that the legally insane may be executed for high treason, as such, Jane along with Queen Catherine were charged with high treason and sentenced to die on February 13th 1542. Jane appeared calm and serene before the end.

If someone came to you tomorrow and said we need you to make a movie or TV series about Anne Boleyn who would you cast (for Anne or for any other characters you would include)?
I would need a time machine for some of them (unless we were doing a series about her through flashbacks of those who survived her...could be great, actually), such as:
Sarah Foret as Mary (Howard) Fitzroy, Duchess of Richmond:
The above would be like, her in the 1550s? Sarah Foret circa 2004 is truly how I envision Mary in the 1530s tho:
(Left)
Ok, good a starting point as any, let's go with the rest of the relevant Howards:
Lotte Verbeek or Caitronia Balfe as Elizabeth (Howard) Boleyn, Countess of Wiltshire (these would be perfect if we began around 1520), Natasha McElhone for late 1530s
Colm Meaney as Thomas Howard, 2nd Duke of Norfolk:
Jeremy Irons as Thomas Howard, 3rd Duke of Norfolk (1540s...for earlier I can't think of who has the right juice to pull this role off, maybe Pablo Schreiber?):
Now, onto the Boleyns,
Either Aidan Turner or Ben Barnes as Thomas Boleyn, Earl of Wiltshire (again, circa 1520, they are actually the right age for this, had to remind myself of this, too), Tobias Menzies for late 1530s
Theo James (this is cheating, unless I'm casting an AU where the Boleyns rise and do not fall 1536-, aha...unless?, but I know he can convicingly play a wide array of ages from Time Traveler's Wife) or Leo Suter (more accurately aged) for George Boleyn, Viscount Rochford, or somewhere in between, Jonathan Bailey:
For Mary Boleyn, I'm going to shortcut again and go with a previous documentary casting, Elizabeth McCafferty (I loved Lois Brabin's acting but it's really clear the casting department wanted to play on the 'contrast' btwn sisters for BSR, the one confirmed portrait we have of Mary suggests that she was actually brunette with amber eyes, not the ScarJo typecast that has had such staying power):
For Jane (Parker) Boleyn, Viscountess Rochford, I would cast Morfydd Clark:
Phoning in the Henry&Anne, I'm going to stay with the casting of the newest Borman documentary short (I simply love it, so),
But I'm going to try my hand at Henry VIII circa 1540s and cast Eric Keenleyside:
I've stayed in the familial but I'm also going to play my ace of casting Sarah Pidgeon as Margaret Wyatt (hopefully BSR has broken the mold and in the future we're going to get the full cast of AB's confidantes and friends, among them:
